3 Inch AU

Prequel to this post

Zuko rubbed his aching eyes, praying what he thought just happened didn't. That a bright light did not flash in the middle of his and Azula's spar leaving his body sore and head aching.

He forced himself to open his eyes and found himself in the middle of a strange spirit forest. Great. First the body switch fiasco now this! Why were there so many spirits hanging around the palace?!

"Nice going dum-dum." Azula spat. "You angered the spirits again!"

"Again?! That was your fault! Both times!!!"

"As I recall, no one knows what angered the last one, but you pushed me onto this spirit and now we're 3 inches tall!!!"

"What?!" Zuko shot up.

Azula pushed the vegetation back revealing an oversized throwing star Mai gifted her. The very one Zuko knocked out of her hand when their spar turned into a messy free for all.

Zuko's heart sank.

"Like I said, 3 inches tall. Thanks a lot."

"None of this is my fa-"

A shadow fell over them seconds before a huge bird swooped down. The siblings barely had time to jump out of the way as the bird snatched up the throwing star. The two shared a frightened look. They had to get out of the garden or they'll surely be next.

A brief silent truce was formed as Zuko and Azula began the trek. Thankfully, they were relativity close to the walkway before they were shrunken. After scaling the huge steps, the ground trembled as a massive figure in deep red robes passed by. The siblings gasped.

"DAD! HELP US!"

"WAIT! DOWN HERE!"

They quickly chased after him, but it was no use. Ozai tuned out their now shrunken voices, assuming it was a chorus of summer insects. And there was no possible chance of the siblings catching up to him on foot.

Azula grabbed Zuko's wrist. "Agni's Arrow!"

Zuko skidded to a stop then spun his sister around. Azula produced fire jets from her feet to build momentum. After counting to three, Zuko released her. Azula shot through the air at breakneck speed straight towards her father.

This better work for they were both done for.

The palace was quiet. Too quiet.

That alone put Ozai on edge. He swore he heard his children out by the garden earlier. It was just another sibling spat but when he decided to check on them, the garden was empty.

A part of Ozai hoped the children settled things on their own and left without a big fuss. The rest of Ozai knew that was wishful thinking. So, he walked the perimeter just to be sure.

Ozai let out an annoyed sigh. The humming bees were a lot louder today. He'll have to talk to the groundskeeper about that least they overrun the whole garden.

Something landed on his shoulder. Ozai tsked and brushed it away. It seemed the infestation already began.

"Dad!!!"

Ozai stopped dead in his tracks.

"Azula?"

It was so faint. Maybe he was hearing things.

"Down here! Hurry!"

A small blue flame shot from his arm. Ozai glanced down and saw his daughter dangling from his sleeve.

"What the-"

Ozai quickly scooped her into his palm before she lost her grip.

"A-Azula?" Ozai gaped at his now tiny daughter trying to get her bearings. "What... how...?"

His eyes widened. If Azula was like this then...

"Where's Zuko?!"

Ozai lifted his feet as horror gripped him. Cool relief washed over him when he spotted a small figure running towards him.

"Dad!"

Ozai knelt down and lowered his hand for Zuko to climb onto. Now that his children were safe, Ozai calmed down enough for his mind to piece together what happened.

"Don't tell me-"

"Spirits." the siblings answered at the same time.

Ozai groaned. "Not again."

You guys want to know a fun flower fact ?

Lilies represent pure love, the nobility of feelings, but also marital union. After the death of someone, they are used to represent the purification of their soul before they reach heaven.

So now that we established that... What about we take a look at two lovely pics ? <3

First is Mathias Cronqvist and the corpse of Elisabetha, covered with lilies. Second is...

Dracula from CoD.

It's interesting to see that Mathias has a few lilies of his own. If Elisabetha's probably represent all of what i mentioned above, Mathias' lilies might only represent his feelings for her, how deeply he cared, his union with her. But it's interesting to interpret them as some sort of "mockery" of the "purification of the soul before reaching heaven" part, knowing how that man ends up. <3 Dead ? Yes (kinda). Pure ? No. Heaven ? LOL. LMAO. <3 His lilies are also clean. Just normal, pure white flowers...

Now if we look at Dracula's lily, not only is there only one, but... it's bloodied. And while Mathias' lilies were "attached" to him, Dracula is actually holding his... by the tip of it's rod. As if he could let go at any moment, as if it would slip from his hand from the slightest wrong movement. It's a very delicate situation. And the representation of his current state of mine. This man is broken. He loved Lisa so deeply he regained his humanity back while with her, but everything shattered when she died. If the lily represents his love for Lisa and what was left of his humanity, things part of him is still hanging onto... you can be sure it fell off his hand the moment Trevor killed him. Grief and rage took place in his heart, turning a love that was pure into something unholy. Into an obsession, a fuel for his madness. And while he lost the flower, the blood remained. He's forever tainted, unable to escape his sadness and anger.

This is my interpretation, though I'm sure there can be more. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

I was cackling in the work parking lot this morning looking at the server leaks #1. narratively his death would serve nothing for the plot. and the whole fight wouldn't have moved anything forward #2. head ain't cut off. eyes aren't destroyed. shoko and angel literally still on the same continent. body could be healed easy peasy #3. gojo was saying bye to his dead friends instead of them welcoming him? so he could be goin' off to limbo #or have his second enlightenment hit within the next couple chapters to off sukuna once and for all. and get to kenny #and 4. uhh kenny??? he still exists gege. can't have a fight with him paired with anyone else tbh just wouldn't thematically fit #best of both worlds scenario: kids kill sukuna with gojo's resurrection #gojo goes on to fight kenny. kenny dies by the six eyes and/or infinity once and for all and gojo sacrifices the six eyes and/or infinity #so kenny can no longer body swap and will end the tale of his terror. geto comes back into consciousness for a couple more moments #OR his body is at peace once and for all and THEN gojo dies from wounds / overexertion of his cursed energy #OR gojo lives but remains a normal human w/o the six eyes or limitless. and this is bc he cheated death twice and that's the toll #gege make some of this happen or you've given a good side character a nonsensical death (within the scope of the story and character arc)#give it 10 chapters to see where this goes. if he's dead dead that's a fumble of an ending to their fight and a death scene #btw if anyone wants to talk abt this more just DM me I ain't fighting the tag system over more spoilers

Cursed Immortal AU

Summary

This AU deals with “The Cursed Immortals” - basically like vampires. They can infect and turn people with a bite, and as of now there is no cure...

Quirks of the Cursed Immortals includes skin burning in the sun, a taste for life force, and a more aggressive personality. They also have pale greyish skin, and purple coloured eyes.

Story

- Luigi gets attacked by and turned into a Cursed Immortal. And it’s not long after that effects start to take place. He tries to keep this hidden as long as possible, but Mario soon finds out.

- The older brother is of course devastated, and vows to get Luigi back to normal and find a cure with him.

- Luigi’s new instincts and powers get stronger by the day, but surprisingly, he has not attacked or drained Mario’s life force. Anytime he feels the urge, something stops him...

- At one point, another Immortal tries to kill and drain Mario. Luigi kills them.

- After many months of travelling and searching, they don’t seem to be making any progress, and they learn that there is no cure. Luigi is stuck like this forever.

- Mario, unable to bare seeing his brother be burdened with this, makes a decision on the spot. Without a shred of doubt, he asks Luigi to bite him so he can become an Immortal with him.

- Luigi is of course against this. Why should Mario suffer because of him? His brother deserves much better than this. He’s best to just leave him, forget him...Leave him to wander alone because that’s all Immortals are doomed to do...

- Mario gets very upset at this, and firmly tells his brother that he wants this. Luigi has done nothing wrong, and if fate is deciding that there is no way out of this, Mario would rather shoulder that with him. They’re a team, always together, and he can’t bare the idea of having either of them be alone...

- Luigi finally agrees. In the bathing moonlight, the night where their lives will change forever, they hold each other tight - Luigi taking in Mario’s warm mortal form one last time. With a firm nod of permission from his brother, Luigi (with slight hesitation) bites down on Mario’s neck.

- Instantly Mario can feel the venom swarming around inside his body, transforming him. It’s painful and everything hurts. But he knows it’s not Luigi’s fault. He holds him closer, trying to communicate via his touch that everything is fine. It’s all going to be ok. This is what he wants. He trusts his beloved twin more than anything, and just knowing it’s Luigi that’s turning him, being as gentle as possible, makes Mario feel much more at ease.

- After some time Luigi finally stops. Mario is lightheaded, his skin already turning pale, and his eyes becoming a shade of purple. He also has two bite marks on his neck. But he’s ok. Mario smiles at Luigi reassuringly, knowing it worked.

- Even though their new lives and future now look uncertain, they know they will be ok as long as they have each other...

- Deciding that it is best to start somewhere new (for their equally new immortal life), they move far away and become dark shadow hunters (creatures and cursed beasts who prey on the living) to protect innocents. They live on a diet of animal blood and plant sap.

Miscellaneous things

- Bites (also knows as “Marks” created by a turning can vary. Most are on the neck, but they can be found in other places. They will always leave scars as proof of the turning.

- Most Cursed Immortals can get an idea of how Marks were created just by looking at them: whether it was aggressive, forced etc.

- Luigi has a bite on his left wrist and multiple on his right arm.

- Mario’s neck bites become neat round scars

- At one point Mario and Luigi come across another Immortal clan: and they instantly notice Mario’s Marks are different. They look more clean. More gentle.

- The clan leader asks who turned him. And Mario, with a glance at Luigi and pride in his voice says “My brother.”

- Older Immortals can figure out the story behind Marks more quickly. If an elder Immortal saw the marks on Luigi and Mario - they can get somewhat of an idea as to what happened.

- Mario's being so clean is symbolic, because it tells all that his turn was all a choice. It was not a change that was forced onto him - but a choice of LOVE for his brother.

- The Bros also get powers when becoming Immortals. Mario can appear clocked in fire, and be able to make fire in his hands; Luigi can create thunderstorms and create lighting in his hands.
