A special kind of intimacy between characters
[Not restricted to romantic dynamics!]
- I tear bread into smaller pieces to feed them to you, as if I am Jesus, or a mother bird. You may view me as a savior but I would kill for you
- Being there for the other person when they're sick - In a gross, disgusting way. Holding them unwaveringly through the wretched and repulsive, unflinchingly. Don't apologise, just survive. I'd do it again.
- You're scary, but I'm scarier. You don't know that yet, but I hope you won't fear me when you do.
- You're scary, and thank God for that. I'm more than happy to close my eyes when you use it on others. I am a coward.
- One character knowing exactly what the other one would really like to ask for, but is too self conscious or selfless to. Thus, they do it and provide, without the other person needing to outright request it. The self conscious character always makes sure the other one knows it's not obligated and they're always free to decline, and the other one nods firmly, knowing that, and still doing it.
- Sitting next to each other at the end of the world. Because it won't be okay. But they've accepted that
- "You destroyed the thing I love and I can't forgive you for it." "I can't forgive myself either." "I still can't hate you despite that." "I can."
- "Please hate me" "No."
- One character understanding when the other is in too low of a state to act like a decent person currently, and so they don't step over those lines that they'd normally tolerate. The first character holds the other one responsible for things later nonetheless, when they're able to actually carry it
- Two characters sharing the negative perceptions and opinions they've had of each other over the years. This can either lead to a realization that, respectfully, out of deep understanding of each other, they decide to not stay in touch with each other again from now on. Or, it can lead to a realization that thanks to this understanding they now have, they're more ready to become closer and have managed to clear the air with this conversation
- Characters of notably different ages talk and reflect on time that has passed between them. They feel a connection over how different their circumstances were. The younger one audibly wishes they could've done or changed something significant, to which the older character pointedly and gently tells them it wasn't their place to. Let us old crooks handle the tough things. (It wasn't your fault you spent formative years like this. I'm sorry you had to)

Tuesday // Jihoon drabble
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
PARING: Jihoon x Reader GENRE: Angst IN RESPONSE TO THIS REQUEST: i need jihoon to break my heart bc he doesn't know how to balance his career and a relationship 😭 it would so gut wrenching bc he's being quite cold about it, but when he gets back to his studio the flood gates open 😭😭😭 *UNEDITED - Apologies for the grammar and spelling errors // tweaked the request a bit heh.
Tumblr media
You knew dating him wasn't going to be easy – but God, you didn't think it would be this painful.
When you met Jihoon, it was almost as if everything fell into place. From the moment you two had your first conversation, you knew he would be someone that would make a great impact in your life – and you the same with his.
It wasn't long before the friendship had turned into love – a partnership. He had always valued your understanding of his life in the spotlight – his career had always come first and you knew that. Even before you had agreed to be his girlfriend.
But years have come and gone, and there was no signs of things slowing down.
You were human, and it's normal to yearn for a life the rest of your friends had – a married life, a family, life outside of the city.
A boyfriend who would be there to support you through all your milestones.
You had been there for all his, standing at the sidelines as you watched him and his band of brothers accept the recognitions they worked tirelessly for.
But not for yours; because before you, there was them.
His fans.
His company.
His group.
They say that the same reason you fell for someone will ultimately be the reason why the relationship would fall apart. You two used to scoff at that idea. It may have been true for others, but definitely not you two.
At least, not during the first five years of your relationship.
It wasn't long before you realized that the two of you were put in each other's lives not to be together forever, but to be a lesson.
A lesson that love won't ever be enough; because if it was, you wouldn't be standing in the middle of his living room with tears streaming down your face as his remained unwavering. Almost as if his heart isn't breaking just as much as yours.
You two were no longer on the same page. All while you were ready to move on to the next chapter of your life with him, he was ready to wrap his book up – ready to end it.
"I know other idols are able to hide it," Jihoon's voice was cold, eyes dark with not a single glimmer of life behind it. As if he had rehearsed these same lines before. "But I can't, Y/n. I'm not ready to be whatever image you have of us in your head."
"So what? This is it?" Your voice cracked. You no longer cared to wipe your tears – it was far better they blurred your vision than seeing the man you love, end your relationship on a random Tuesday afternoon.
"I'm not changing my stance and I know you aren't, either. I know you want a ring, I know you want kids and– That's just not where I am and I don't think I will be for a long while."
You didn't know what was more painful; the fact that he was right or the fact that, in the back of your head, you wished it wasn't true.
The tears began to fall faster as the realization began to set in.
This was the end.
You knew him better than you knew yourself, he wasn't going to change his mind. Nothing could.
He was everything you have ever known for the past five years and it was all coming to a crashing halt.
"I'm sorry for wasting your time."
・゜゜・.・゜゜・.・゜゜・.・゜゜・.
He thought he was handling it well.
Jihoon had kept himself together for four months – all thanks to their jam packed schedule which rarely allowed him any time to be alone with his thoughts, let alone time for sleep.
He prided himself for being able to handle the break up without a single tear being shed; breaking the news to the twelve boys that same day during practice as if it was just any news.
As if it was the most casual conversation.
All while they stood in shock, unable to grasp the sudden end to what seemed to be a picture perfect relationship, he continued their four hour long practice unfazed – brushing off their looks of concern and questions of how he was doing.
But just like the break up, the grief came crashing on him like a semi-truck going at full speed on a random Tuesday.
Jihoon had gone into the studio with Soonyoung with plans to work on their upcoming comeback. He had always looked into his past work for inspiration, playing snippets of the demos he had recorded for previous comebacks to allow the creative juices to flow.
It was going so well, the two of them laughing at how ridiculous the original version of their hit singles sounded.
And then he got to that one song.
The song that was originally meant to be a ballad – the heart-aching song that was meant to be assembled with strings and a piano.
He sat frozen as his voice echoed softly through the speakers. At the time, he had composed the song with no one in mind – simply taking inspiration from his other member's breakups.
Now, he could relate to every single one of the words.
"You okay?" Soonyoung eyed him from the seat next to his.
Jihoon hadn't realized it, but tears began to fall from his eyes – his chest heaving up and down as he tried to contain his emotions. In his head, he thought his composure remained calm; but he was falling apart with each line.
"No." He swallowed, unable to shake his thoughts away. That moment in his living room began to replay in his head – the sight of you in tears, the sound of your broken voice, the pure defeat in your eyes... the moment you walked out without sparing a second glanse.
Soonyoung quickly reached over to the mouse, hitting pause on the music; knowing that it had been the catalyst to the sudden break down of his best friend. "D–do you need time alone? Water?"
Jihoon shook his head. The silence had become much worse than when the music was playing – this time he could hear your voice, the sweet sweet voice he missed so much.
It wasn't until now that he realized how much he missed hearing your laughter, your words of encouragement, your ramblings over the phone – he missed you.
In the past few months, his life had become far too busy that he hadn't realized that there was a gaping hole in his chest in the shape of you. He had been able to fill it with his members, his fans, and his work – but it was all temporary.
A quick patch.
There was no replacing you. No one else's hand fit perfectly in his, no one knew what he was thinking before he could voice it, no one came close to understanding him the way you did – and now it was too late.
You took his cold response to the break up as a sign from whatever was above that this was what was meant to be – blocking his number, his social media accounts, and leaving without a trace. Almost as if you never existed to one another.
You were nothing but a stranger to him and it pained him to know that there was no getting you back.
"I fucked up." He choked out a sob.

pick a pile: "Your true colors - (6/7) Indigo"
take a breath and choose the photo or number that calls you the most to read a message for you from the color indigo, the sixth of the 7 rainbow's colors. in this serie of readings about the rainbow's colors, I will try to channel about your true colors, so to help you look inside and see your most beautiful self, appreciate yourself more and hopefully provide some type of guidance if necessary. as cindy lauper would say: "your true colors are beautiful like a rainbow", so let's look at them and hear what they have to say to you and how they (you) can help you look at things in a more positive way.
indigo is the color of wisdom, intuition, spirituality, inner awareness, planning, fairness, power, vision, insight, dreams, perception (third eye chakra)... in this reading, I'll try to analyze this side of your character.
you can find the other colors' readings in the pacs list in my pinned post
don’t take the reading too seriously. only take what resonates with you and leave the rest. if you're not called by any pile, let this reading slid as it may not hold messages for you. if you're called by more than one pile, there may be messages in each of those piles. remember that is a general reading and some things may not resonate with you. energies can change and readings are based on present ones (as you read); you're always in charge of your life.

pile 1
You have a target, or you are moving towards a specific point in your life. You're not someone who gives up easily and honestly I think you're totally climbing up towards a higher knowledge, or your dreams, or an higher/more stable connection with your spirituality/above. I think it has mostly to do with your intuition not always being on point (or you feel/fear so). You may feel this path you're going through is filled with ups and downs but it's all part of the process, so try to stay balanced and accept all this. Accept that it won't always be smooth and there can be times in which you'll feel like you made no progress ever, even if you did. And there may be times in which your intuition may not be 100% and that's okay too. Understand that our energy may fluctuate for the most various reasons, and that's fine. Take a break and get back at it once you feel in touch with yourself again. Honestly, you have all the power you need to make your reality, you can get where you want, you can have a better connection with above too (for some of you, you may struggle getting in touch directly with your Guides or you want to get in touch with someone now in the 5d: you can. You can also ask for suggestions to readers if you need). Take time to look inside of you first. I do feel you can do it, even if you may have some doubts here and there or insecurities about what you're doing and even more if you can make it or it's possible for real. Honestly yes, it is possible for real. Practice more and also try more ways to connect with your inner self, so to be able to have better and clearer downloads in your life. Find ways to connect with the 5d/your Guides by experimenting: tarot/oracle cards (you can make your own decks at home with paper+pen), pendants (you can use one you own as a pendulum), one word notes you can pick through intuition, ask for angel numbers or specific signs/comfirmations (just don't overdo: learn to trust yourself too even if you fear your intuition being wrong... if it comes from within and you have no control over it, it's for a reason; it may carry another type of message, maybe even a message about healing a certain side of you so to be able to be more in tune with yourself and your inner guidance, but also with the guidance from above). Let go of the control (it just biases/blocks your intuition) and don't be afraid. Maybe you're trying to move fast somewhere, to reach an "ending point" or a result, as said in the beginning, but right now it's time to stand still and get better at listening (your Guides may be talking with you a lot, try to listen to them; you may get messages through words or music too, not just hear words in your mind). When we learn something (whatever it is), when we realize we can do something "easily", we try to rush it all to the end to owning that something asap, but that's not always the way to do things properly, the way to learn well. We need to stop here and there on our path and get better at something specific, we need to go slower and to really take time to understand even a little insignificant topic (you never know what is its importance in the future). Not stopping when it's time, not taking time to learn something (even if it takes us longer cause it's a tougher topic or subject, or it takes patience cause we feel like we're losing time on something "useless" like testing your intuition daily or something) may mean our result won't be as perfect as we'd like to. While at times, if you stop and enjoy the present, if you stop and focus on that little thing, you can even get a greater result. Do not rush things, go at your pace, respect yourself. You'll get where you want. Your intuition is part of you and you can get in touch with it anytime, just give yourself time to make it. You're pretty gifted, but gifts/talents at times also need to get polished through a bit of effort and patience.

Some of may be very aware of the spiritual world and all that's hidden, even of your spirituality in general. But I think there may be something you're not analysing (or learning) on purpose or you're getting away from it: not sure if it "scares" you (maybe also cause of some type of trauma) or you feel like you don't need that or just need a break. You're just putting a wall here anyway. Honestly for some, you may be even entirely blocking your spirituality: maybe you got told that you need to follow a certain dogma and you fear abandoning it or that you cannot leave it or mix it with other practices; or you fear certain subjects (e.g. "witchy" stuff -it's okay to fear what we don't know, but you can know more of it if you want... unless it triggers certain sides of you. If so, take care of you and heal those triggers if you can, even ask for help); or maybe you find it hard to believe, which is okay (it could be that you tried once but you felt like you got let down or something, and now trusting again has gotten tougher; it could be a religious trauma tbh). Still, you know you have a very good intuition, and it's like... it's telling you to move in a certain direction, to still live and move around spirituality (in fact you're also here reading, hi). Maybe you want to learn more, to trust, to dig more, but something is blocking you, like your mind, your past, your fears... Try healing this emotional wound you have. Try to talk about why you felt let down or why you feel like you cannot surpass this point you reached in your spirituality (I think whatever is your situation atm you can get further and you may feel it too). You can talk with others into spirituality or you can find online all the knowledge you need. Try to be more open about the chances, about different reasons of why something happened or not (it wasn't because of you), about what can go well despite all that has been. Spirituality is a very personal endeavour and ofc I cannot tell you exactly what to do. It needs to be natural, it needs to come from within you. But if you feel even a little push from inside that is willing to move you further into it, to discover something new, even just for pure knowledge/fun, listen to it. You never know what you can find. And it won't be something scary nor something you will regret. Time used for personal development (and learning about anything you want) is always time well used, even if you won't find an answer or what you're searching for. It may come to you another time anyway, when you're ready for it. For those who are already into spirituality but are needing to get away, get a pause: if you feel used and abused because of your abilities, learn to build boundaries. Sure, you are here to share your abilities but you need to take care of yourself too also in order to be able to give properly. You need to receive too, and give from the abundance you got. You're not needy for wanting to receive.
Close away from all the noise inside and outside. Find yourself again, focus on you. If someone is annoying you or draining you, tell them off: and if they get angry, it's their trauma speaking. It's not you. If it's a belief blocking you, try to understand why and maybe move away from it if you need or try to look at it in a different way. Find your peace, find your balance, find yourself again and listen to yourself and your intuition. You need to be more fair with yourself, regain and reassert your power. Find some peace of mind, stay in a silent/dark environment if you need and for as long as you need (I do feel you need as you may be stressed by too many words and emotions around, by what others expect you to do or you fear they want you to do -but your life is yours, and especially your inner world is only yours, you get to decide its rules), and focus on your breathing. It's okay. Sometimes we may get carried away, but it's important to be aware of that, take a break and regain control. You don't have to go (back) to spirituality/religion asap, it will always be there, no matter how many pauses you'll need to take. You get to decide everything here, you can, you have that power.

pile 3
Pile 3, I think you may be able to get (and be more or less aware of this) important downloads from the 5d through your dreams. I think you may see stuff, get guidance, occasionally even get prophetic dreams (that you may consciously forget but live anyway irl -similar sensation of deja vus). I think you may be pretty connected with the spiritual world anyway. You probably can use clairs and are very intuitive especially at your best. I keep hearing "grounded" and I am not sure if you are already or you need to ground more, especially when it comes to your intuitive side. Maybe you lack some trust? (Reminds me me the Blue color reading tbh). Or maybe you fear something. Do these downloads kinda make you uncomfortable cause you feel like you cannot control them or are losing control onto something? It's okay, when you go through some spiritual awakening and it's sudden, it does get uncomfortable and scary. Take your time to grow acquainted with all this, and ask for suggestions to those who you think have been there already and can guide you through. I do think you can envision a lot, especially during meditation. And ofc maybe not all of you can really meditate for long or at all, but it may be worth to try and slowly get to it. You don't have to meditate for 10-20 mins from the start, you can start for 3 minutes and try daily, and once it gets easier you can move onto 5 mins and so on. It can be a slow process, we don't have to always rush things as we're taught since when we're born (honestly it's so toxic). But I do believe it could help you a lot in envisioning and planning better also your life and manifestations. And it could help you ground too, if you need. If you feel overwhelmed by infos/downloads and need some time off. Or if some of them aren't so clear at first. At times you may forget about the light you carry within or you would want to dim it out of fear, but you have it and it's a gift. Ofc I'm not here to tell you what to do: it's your life and if you feel like it's not something you can afford now (or at all), take your time/get away from it (if you'll ever want to get back, it will be there still). But one thing I can surely tell you is: do not be scared of it. It won't hurt you ever. Meditating could also help you find your inner light anytime you lose contact with it, and learn to use it to deal better and more boldly with all the darkness inside and what you cannot see (which at times may kinda block you and your intuition/connection to the spiritual world too -for those who actually would want to get more in touch but may feel kinda lost. But if not, use it for yourself at least, to help yourself dealing with your problems and fears). Meditating, could also mean doing some yoga exercises for example. If it's hard for you to stand still and envision stuff for a while without having your mind wandering around, you can start by focusing on slow movements of your body: it may help you focus on you again and be more aware or your inner side (inner awareness), and it may help you calm down and reconnect with your intuition too. Bring more love to you, also for all you've endured so far. There are many meditations and yoga series online, you can search for some (just go slow and let yourself guide you through which movements can be good for you and which not).
If you feel stuck in a rut, despite your soul is calling for you to move somewhere else, again meditating or finding any other way to ground yourself could totally help you re-balance any excess of emotions that may cloud your visions and also your downloads (or your understanding of those downloads: at times we may not fully grab them cause of our fears not letting us get the real meaning of what we're hearing or seeing, or not listening to any message to start with). You're powerful and strong btw, never forget it. Not even when things seem to be too crazy.
(if you're called also by pile 2, feel free to take a look)

Star Crossed Lovers
Summary: Buck has been into Eddie for years, he assumed his feelings were reciprocated, just the timing was always wrong. However, Eddie begins to date Ana and Buck begins to distance himself and begins to move on after meeting reader when Ana was expected to be introduced to the firefam
Word Count: 2128
Eddie had started to date Ana Flores and for some reason he was hesitant to introduce her to his family and the 118, he knows it probably has something to do with the way his heart flutters around Buck but he needs to think about Christopher and how his mom had reminded him that Chris needs a mother. He knew Ana was getting impatient and wanted to meet those close to him. He also started to notice that Chris seemed to get sad. Chris also stayed hidden in his room on Fridays and it was because Eddie would cancel Movie Night with Buck so that Ana and Chris can bond but Christopher seems to not want to bond with her. Ana told Eddie it might help if Chris sees that she is here to stay by having her meet the 118.
The day before the monthly BBQ at the Grant-Nash house Eddie looks at everyone sitting at the table eating, "Hey I'll be bringing Ana tomorrow is that ok?" Everyone looks shocked, they assumed the reason Eddie hadn't brought her over was because they weren't serious and Eddie would soon realize he is in love with Buck. Bobby is the first to recover and quickly looks at Buck who just continues to eat but looks down at his food, "yeah Eddie, she's welcome to come" and Hen and Chimney glare at Bobby while Eddie pulls out his phone to text her. Suddenly Buck gets up and leaves the loft, before anyone can follow him the bell rings. Since Christopher hangs out with Buck during the Ana/Eddie dates, Buck and Chris talk. Chris admits that Ana treats him like a baby and he doesn't like her but his dad won't listen and keeps trying to force them to have movie nights together. Buck also tells Chris that with Eddie and Ana becoming so serious, Buck won't be around as much as he used to but he'll always be a phone call away. Christopher understands, he knows Ana doesn't like his Buck, he heard her complain over the phone with her friend about how Buck is always there and the more her and Eddie date the more she is going to convince him to stop bringing Buck home.
The day of the BBQ Christopher is done getting ready and walks to the living room where his dad is waiting for him, "we need to go pick up Ana and then we will head over" Eddie explains and Chris just sighs and walks out the door. Eddie is able to tell Chris doesn't like Ana but he really hopes tonight will change that, maybe if he sees Buck accepting her he will too. Eddie feels a pit in his stomach though at the thought of Buck and Ana meeting each other. He kind of hopes they won't get along but he also knows he needs them to if he wants Ana to stop mentioning that he should stop hanging out with Buck. After picking her up they arrive at the Grant-Nash house and walk in. Right away Christopher goes over to Harry and Denny where they begin to whisper and all three boys glare at Ana, the adults not knowing that Buck had texted Chris and informed him that he won't be able to make it tonight. Chris knows it's because of Ana. Eddie notices the adults are all sitting and have their plates ready, "you're late" Athena chastises him. Eddie looks down, not wanting to explain it's because Ana took forever to get ready because she had to make a dramatic appearance. Eddie gets himself and Ana plates and sits down, he notices Buck isn't there and gets upset so he sits next to Karen. "Everyone meet Ana my girlfriend, Ana meet Karen, Hen, Chimney, Maddie, Athena, and Bobby" Eddie introduces. They all are pleasant with her but Eddie is able to tell they don't like her, especially Athena and Maddie who can't seem to stop glaring at Eddie for some reason. He is itching to text Buck and ask why he's late but he knows Ana will get irritated. After a bit of conversing he takes the plunge and asks, "where's Buck", everyone looks shocked, assuming Eddie would be the one to know. Chris who was sitting and eating with the other two boys hears his dad and says "he's not coming" before turning back to his friends. Everyone but Eddie (even Ana who can tell Buck's in love with Eddie) know the reason Buck isn't there is because he couldn't handle the heartache of seeing Eddie in a serious relationship. Karen decides to change the topic of conversation.
Meanwhile Buck is at the grocery store, buying ingredients so he can make Eddie's abuela's chicken soup, his new comfort meal. As he's going through the isle he accidently bumps carts with another person. "Oh I am so sorry" the person apologizes, turning to look at Buck. Buck immediately finds this person comforting and beautiful, "oh no my apologies!" They look at Buck and can tell something is wrong, "I know we don't know each other but how about we go get some Mexican food, you look like you need a friend", Buck looks shocked but ultimately agrees.
After the BBQ and grocery store day, Buck had told everyone (but Eddie) about Y/N, the quirky woman he met and how they were getting closer. Everyone was happy that he was beginning to move on. Chris could also tell there was something different about Buck but he didn't ask because nothing about them changed. He still made sure to make his dad drop him off at Buck's every weekend that Buck didn't work. Eddie was struggling, Ana wanted to make things more permanent by wanting to move in but he kept dodging it. He could also tell that Buck was talking to him but there was a distance between them now. They no longer basically sat in each other's laps, they no longer had lingering touches, they no longer hung out together after work. It was driving Eddie insane because he needed Buck in his life and although he knew he'd never have Buck in the way he wanted because Chris needs a mom, he still hoped they would still be close but it was beginning to seem like that was not the case.
----------------------
"We haven't had a day at the zoo, just you, me and Chris, so I expect us to go tomorrow, see you at 8am" Eddie tells Buck in the locker room on a Friday, it's been weeks since he's been with Buck in a nonwork related way. Ana had told him that he needed to prioritize her and he agreed because he knew he loved Buck but had to give Christopher a mother. Buck sighed, "You sure you want to come?" He asked surprised, he was planning on taking Christopher to a brunch place Y/N had introduced him to, so that Chris and Y/N could finally meet. He'd talked to both previously and they were both excited to meet each other. Chris was nervous about meeting Y/N because he was afraid she'd take his Bucky from him but Buck told him Y/N knew and accepted that Chris came first. Eddie nodded and walked away.
*Next morning*
As Eddie was getting everything ready for when Buck came to pick them up, Ana walked in, she was still trying to convince him to move in together but he was still saying no, he knew the moment he said yes, he would absolutely lose Buck forever. "What are you doing here?" Eddie asked surprised, before she could answer Chris walked out, excited for his day with both Dad and Buck, he missed these. As soon as he saw Ana his smile was wiped of his face, "I thought Ms. Flores wasn't coming" Chris asked, and Eddie knew in this moment that maybe Ana wasn't the best option for Chris. Maybe everyone had been right in telling him to follow his heart. He thought with time Chris would come to love Ana but the fact that he refused to stop calling her Ms. Flores and refused to spend time with her was a major red flag. After the BBQ Bobby had admitted that when he was talking about moving on, on the q word day, he was actually talking about Buck. Now though, he noticed that no one talked about Buck in his presence, when he was at work, it was all professional, he was losing his family thanks to his attempt to make his parents proud. He decided that after the zoo he would convince Buck to have Chris sleep over so that he could break up with Ana tonight. After, he would come clean with Buck about why he started to date her and admit that he actually loves Buck. "Where are we going" Ana asked happily, while also going to help Chris with his shoes even though he didn't need the help. "Buck and I are taking Chris to the zoo" Eddie tells her firmly, she looks at him with her lips pursed, clearly upset. "I thought we were going to take Christopher to the zoo next weekend" she asked. "NO THE ZOO IS FOR ME AND BUCKY" Chris yells and walks back to his room. "Maybe he shouldn't spend so much time with Evan" Ana told Eddie for the millionth time, she also refused to call him Buck, because "it's childish". Eddie sighed. Suddenly, Chris walked out of his room with his phone and handed it to his dad, "it's Buck, he wants to talk to you" and then walked back to his room. Eddie grabbed the phone, "hello" he asked confused, wondering when Buck would arrive to pick them up. "Chris mentioned Ana is coming? I figured we could just meet at the zoo instead then. I'm about to head over there instead since I was almost at your place, see you soon" is all he says before hanging up. Eddie gets upset, he was looking forward to finally being in Buck's jeep again like old times. Great, he muttered. "You're not coming, today is all about Chris and Buck. You and I will have dinner at around 8pm" is all Eddie says to Ana, she smiles thinking it's going to be a good night, in their many months dating, they've only slept together about 3 times, but she was patient, she didn't know it was because he felt like he was cheating on Buck. Eddie goes to Chris' room and explains it's just the 3 of them and that they would meet Buck at the zoo, which didn't lift Chris' spirit much.
When Eddie and Chris finally arrived at the zoo, at the entrance they noticed Buck was talking with someone, Eddie immediately got jealous. Buck spots them and frowns, wondering where Ana was. "Chris buddy! I have a very important friend here who's been wanting to meet you forever" Buck tells Chris. Y/N hugs Chris right away, "Christopher it is so nice to finally meet you! Listen, Buck told me about your fears but just know that if he EVER tries to put me before you, I will leave him right away! You come first! Also we're not official yet because I need to make sure I have your approval, so after the zoo just let me know if you approve or not and be completely honest, ok buddy" she tells him truthfully, which Chris likes, so he can tell he'll get along with her right away. "Oh Eddie, you haven't met Y/N yet, Y/N this is Eddie" Buck introduces his 2 partners. Y/N knows all about Eddie and Buck's unrequited love. She also knows he's finally healing and moving on from Eddie. Eddie gets jealous, has Buck found someone? When did this happen. "When did you meet" he can't help but ask. Buck gets flustered, he knows the moment he tells Eddie, Eddie might figure it out. "The day I didn't show up at the Grant-Nash get together, when you wanted to introduce Ana to all of us" he says.
That's when Eddie's world collapses. He realized the reason Buck didn't show up was because of the heartbreak of seeing Eddie with someone else, that same heartbreak Eddie is having by seeing Buck with someone. Eddie pushed Buck into the arms of someone else that unfateful day. Here Eddie was hoping to have a fun day at the zoo with his boys with the promise of tomorrow professing his love for Buck and asking him on a date, only to find out Buck has slowly began to move on from him after Eddie made his relationship with Ana serious by introducing her to the team.

What traits do you think Sirius is attracted to? Like what would his ideal type be like?
(don't be afraid to go into extensive detail about it 🩷)
His ideal type... James.
Actually, it might not seem obvious, but for Sirius, it's important that people accept him for who he is. He might not realise it, but that's the filter for whether he'll have close relationships with someone. Showing complete acceptance of him as a person, without trying to change him, and genuinely loving him for who he is – that's the first thing that needs to be in a person. Otherwise, Sirius just won't open up. So, it's either full acceptance and liking Sirius just the way he is, or à la poubelle (And this is despite his deep-rooted feelings of inadequacy and the desire to be useful)
The second crucial condition is that the partner must earn Sirius's respect. RESPECT. Sirius must want to respect them. See them as an equal partner, no less.
Despite Sirius showing care for those he loves, I don't think he'd be attracted to someone who needs to be protected all the time. Sirius cares for the weak (like animals) and those under his protection (like Harry), but his understanding of caring for Harry is specific—it's not motherly care like Molly's, it's about providing resources and opportunities for him to become stronger and overcome challenges. Sirius has a deep-rooted aversion to human weakness in general (this isn't the case with animals because they genuinely depend on humans, but in Sirius's view, humans always have the potential for action rather than just having pity parties. It's a deep respect for the concept of being Human, for their ability to make choices and their potential. He believes that Humans are capable creatures, and it's only individuals choose to give up their agency, which diminishes the very idea of being Human. This is a pretty tough and harsh view of the world, but you can see it in him right from his first appearance in PoA.)
I see two types that could attract him (of any gender), one he'd simply get along with and spend a lot of time with, and the other who could be with him for the long haul.
The first type is easy-going, cheerful, able to handle his mood swings, finds his humour amusing, and can pull him out of the occasional melancholy he falls into. Someone interested in many things, active, and an engaging conversationalist. They don't create drama or get overly emotional if Sirius does something "wrong". This person can easily and flexibly navigate Sirius's boundaries just by being themselves. They're open-minded and free from stereotypes and limitations. They don't take offence at Sirius's jokes and humour; they take everything lightly. In general, they're airy, flexible, confident, attention-grabbing, bright, cheerful, and not overly concerned with questions of morality and correctness, but fundamentally a good person.
The second type is someone quite tough and strong. Also not inclined to drama or hashing out relationships, but with very firm boundaries. If they have a quarrel, it's a real fight, not just shouting. Sirius is definitely drawn to strength in another person, and there's potential here for serious relationships and to hook Sirius for years. This person is a bit edgy, and there should be something dark about them? I don't know how to explain it correctly, they shouldn't be evil or morally wrong, but they're definitely not a soft, tender flower. Very independent. They won't sigh over Sirius and won't look at him with puppy-dog eyes, but they'll definitely express their desire passionately. They're equals in everything, or maybe even better at something. Perhaps this person should have some unusual interests. Very passionate. Very. They have an animalistic sexuality. Sirius is more submissive in these relationships. And they might not be exclusive and could date others simultaneously, but they'll always come back to each other.
And the third type–James.
Well, alright, there might also be a fourth type, someone calm, thoughtful, perhaps with some challenges in life and difficulties that they faces stoically and without complaint, etc etc etc, but I'm tired of writing, sorry. I'd love to read your versions!

Hello everything is fine? If requests are still open can I request headcanons (aizen, komamura and zaraki) x fem!reader? The reader being a vampire and having the powers of Alucard from Hellsing? Thank you in advance.
Things have been up and down ya know. Hope things are going well for you? My requests are still open and this was a fun one to get. I don't think I've written for Komamura? Either way, mixing some of my favorite things is always a good time. TW: blood and death talked about, unhealthy relationships and talks of bad treatment towards reader
Aizen
Aizen is perhaps the worst person to be with as a vampire unfortunately but is anyone surprised
Look, he's capable of learning to love but it's a slow and hard process that sadly means you suffer more then he will....to start
He wants control of everything starting with when and what you eat along with how much you get
His blood, wonderful tasting as it is, is only ever a treat for good behavior and more often than not you get espada blood
This will continue for as long as he doest fully trust or care about you
Fights are a common during this time but the longer you choose him, the longer you stay and fight back the more he softens and opens up
Though it takes time Aizen does eventually see why his actions are wrong and though he won't regret them he does change and aim to make up for it
Fresh blood from kills he got for you, his own blood straight from his arm or neck if you all are feeling cuddly and plenty of gifts
He thrives on watching you thrive, of seeing you smile and revel in being full and able to exist without worry
A power couple in the most dangerous sense of the words not to be taken lightly yet so happy to merely be around each other even if the road to get there was rough
Komamura
An absolute sweetheart who will do his best to make you feel accepted no matter your past or problems
Komamura understands what it's like to be so different and knows first hand that it can be hard to trust others so he wanted to reach out to you
Though he doesn't fully understand all your needs and will struggle to understand he wants you to tell him everything so he can help
Will have Unahana draw his blood so you can have food, his squad is willing to do the same one you become friends
One of the things he greatly appreciate about your skills is the ability to melt into the shadows, he doesn't want you to have to fight and this method can keep you safe
Trains with you whenever you ask and is happy to help you learn or overcome any trouble
You being a vampire really doesn't change anything to him, Komamura sees you as person separate from anything else
So long as you want to protect people and have good morals that's enough for him, you accept him and he accepts you
Kenpachi
Kenpachi is weirdly the best person to be with as a vampire and he's proud of it
Need food? That's find he was in a fighting mood anyway, he can hunt for you if you want or better yet just drink from him
It's the same for if you're ever worried about losing control or just need to explain some energy Kenpachi is more than happy to fight you and keep a close eye on you
He defends you from the others who think you’re untrustworthy or dangerous, really you're no worse than him
To everyone's amusement you both have this line of thought that you've tamed a beast in one way or another
Really Kenpachi is just so proud to say your his lover and for so many reasons that no one can really argue with him on it
Will want to fight you sometimes ya know to test "your strength and make sure your not holding back too much"
Gets really jealous if you drink from anyone else, even a blood bag but won't admit it, the only exception to this is if its a kill he got you
Overall he's fine with it there's nothing about it that bothers him and he encourages everything you do, feral or not he's here for it
Hello everyone~ I am back from a rather unexpected break. To make a long story short, a lot happened recently, most of it not good but getting better. I even started a new job that I've been enjoying so far. I want to write again though so I finally sat down and got this bad boy done. The next thing will feature a favorite character of mine that isn't even on my writing list so just know it's happening. Have a good day or night and thank you so much for your support. Lilly~

okay @fawndlyvenus @shubaka this is for you lol
Chay learns, very quickly, that there are a lot of things he and Porsche no longer know about each other.
For example: Porsche had no idea that his own boyfriend's youngest brother is the same guy that's existed within a shrine on Chay's wall for, oh, five years? And when he found out about Kinn's AWOL brother, Porsche had a name, but was never able to put a face to it, because Kim was too busy stalking Chay, and giving him guitar lessons - which Porsche never found out about, either - and taking him on dates, and then ripping his heart out of his chest. Chay decides not to tell Porsche about that last part, because by the time he can, he and Kim have already made up and gotten back together, and it would make things very awkward with Porsche. Who already disapproves of Kim on principle.
So, there are still things Chay and Porsche don't know about each other. And there are more things they wish they didn't know about each other.
Still, somewhere during Porsche's apologetic, secret-sharing mood, he revealed some things about his early days as Kinn's bodyguard. Namely his interactions with the Minor Family. Chay has gotten some of the details from Macau as well; how the first time they met, Porsche shoved him into the koi pond and broke his face on a statue. (Porsche fiercely insists that's not the real story).
Between the two of them, Chay is able to piece together a story.
Kan demanded that Vegas keep an eye on Porsche. Vegas enlisted Macau's help to reel him in with a false apology, and bribe him with the cherry red Ducati he's always wanted. Chay also learns Vegas kept a much... closer... involvement with Porsche than strictly necessary. And this part of the story always makes his stomach turn, the way Vegas would push and push and push, trying to take what wasn't his, and Porsche never quite looks at him when he talks about it. Chay doesn't look at him, either.
Porsche insists that he and Vegas are cool now. Pete insists Vegas has changed, and Porsche tells him that as far as he can tell, it's true. Vegas no longer acts like the monster his father forced him to be, now that his father is dead.
Still, he tells Chay these stories, because there's a part of him that still believes Vegas is dangerous, and Porsche needs him to know. To understand. To be safe.
Macau, to his credit, doesn't take offense to the way Chay always flinches when Vegas is mentioned. They never hang out at Macau and Vegas' new house - they're not unwelcome at the minor family house, but they stay away, there's too many memories - and bringing Macau to the main compound always make him a little nervous - Khun loathes Macau just as much as he adores Chay - but they figure it out. Pour over google Maps for an hour trying to establish an acceptable No Man's Land where they can meet in peace, without painful memories bleeding out between them.
Mostly that takes place at an internet cafe roughly in the middle of them, where they can game and bicker and act like normal kids for a while. In another year Macau will join him in university, and it'll be even easier to negotiate their interactions. For now, Chay will continue to feel like he's sneaking behind enemy lines the handful of times he picks Macau up directly from his house.
-
"He really has changed," Macau says one day. They're in the compound this time, at Khun's koi pond, and Maucau keeps looking around like he's waiting to be shoved into it. They're the only ones in the garden. Neither of them comment on Tankhun standing in his window, watching them fiercely.
Chay tosses a torn off piece of bread into the pond and says, "Mhm," and pretends he doesn't know who Macau is talking about. But Macau is kind of an asshole, and won't let him.
"He feels bad."
"I don't know why, it's not like he kidnapped me." He technically didn't. Chay knows that. He still doesn't like him.
"He keeps making sad faces at me and asking if you hate him."
Chay laughs at that. The next piece of bread is thrown at Macau. "Liar."
"Yeah, I am," Macau laughs. "He really does feel bad, though. He's got a thing about fucking with little brothers, y'know?" He tears into his own loaf of bread. It mostly crumbles into the grass as he picks at it. "Vegas really didn't mean for you to get caught up in everything. Tawan went behind his back."
"Yep. It's cool. Really." It's really not.
Macau sighs.
He stops trying to convince Chay, though. Maybe it's because he looks up at Tankhun's window, sees the unfiltered loathing pouring through it, and shudders, and yeah. He understands. And Tankhun never ever really did anything to him, not like Tawan - and Vegas - did to Chay.
"You know, that was the worst day of my life," Chay says casually. "Well, second worst. Actual worst was way worse, emotionally at least, but that day started as the best day of my life-"
"Because of Kim?"
Chay nods, a blush dusting his cheeks. They've finally managed to get their shit back together, so they can get back together, but it's only been a few weeks. It's still new and kind of scaring, and sometimes Chay still thinks he's going to wake up and find it was all a dream. He's working on it.
Macau scrunches up his nose and says, "This family is so weird. You don't have any other brothers, right? Because I think I'd be genetically obligated to try and smash, and I don't really want to."
"Dude! You're actually insane."
"Dude, come on - think about! Your brother is banging Kinn, Vegas tried to bang him, and you're doing your thing with Kim-"
"No one's tried with Tankhun, right?"
"Yeah, but that's cause he's weird. So that just leaves me, right? The last eligible Theerapanyakul bachelor." They both break into laughter so deep it hurts, and Macau throws himself into Chay's side, batting his lashes. "But hey, if you and Kim don't work out..."
"I hate you," Chay says, and Macau's worst fear finally comes true as Chay shoves him into the koi pond, and a pair of guards come running when they hear screams.
By the time they get there Macau has pulled Chay into the water, and the two are playfully trying to drown each other, and the guards look at each other, unsure if they should get involved.
In the end, they're called off - by Tankhun, who secretly hopes Chay succeeds in drowning Macau, eagerly watching from his window - and the boys eventually drag themselves out, waterlogged and sore from laughter.
No one could tell they're crying beneath it all, months of pent-up emotions finally released. They cling to each other as they catch their breath, and maybe it's a little desperate, grasping hands that hurt, but it's okay, because even if their ribs are aching and their lungs are burning, and nothing is certain, they're okay.

Apologies
714 words
fluff/angst?? idk
quinn fabray x reader
summary- quinn slushies rachel, your sister. you made her apologize
Tumblr media
“i don’t understand why you’re being like this!” your girlfriend of seven months, quinn fabray, says from across the room. you can tell she’s holding back tears, but why should she be the one crying? you had just found out she had slushied your sister, rachel berry.
you understood why she did, sometimes you wished you could as well. but just because she's dating you doesn't give her the right to bully your sister. "quinn, i know she's difficult but how would you feel if you got slushied?" you said as you walked closer to her. you didn't want this to be the thing that ended your relationship.
you saw as the realization hit her. she was difficult yes, but she didn't deserve to get bullied like that, no one did. she wrapped her arms around you and pressed her face into your chest. "i'm sorry" she mumbled. you put your hands on her waist "i'm not the one you need to tell that"
you felt her nod against your chest before she leaned up, placing a gentle kiss on your cheek. she let go of you before walking up stairs to rachels room.
you sat down, expecting nothing more but a few 'im sorrys' to get thrown around. you quickly heard yelling. my sister is rachel berry, why did i expect different? you thought. you quickly rushed upstairs. as soon as you got upstairs you heard a thud onto the ground, rachel had pushed your girlfriend.
"girls! stop!" you said as you rushed to your girlfriends side, helping her up. "she deserves this! you know it y/n!" rachel shouted. it took a lot of strength to hold back your own anger at rachel, let alone quinn's. "stop it both of you!" you shouted, quinn had never heard your voice so angry, rachel only heard it once in a millennia. "what quinn did was shitty, yes i agree rachel" as soon as you said that the younger berry got a smug look on her face.
she was used to you fighting her battles. she always got into problems, knowing you'd be the one to solve it. not her. you knew this too, you were happy to help but you were getting kind of tired of it. "quinn knows what she did wrong too." rachel quickly lost the smug on her face. "quinn, say what you were going to say" you said as you looked down at your girlfriend. her eyes met yours before she looked at rachel "i'm sorry i slushied you, it was rude of me and it won't happen again" she said, you could tell she was being sincere.
now did rachel take it that way?
of course not.
"i don't accept, you're just saying that" she said, crossing her arms across her chest. why is she always so difficult? you sighed and looked back down at quinn before looking at rachel. you knew what she wanted. she wanted you to break up with quinn right there right then. you weren't going to do that of course. you loved her. however, you were getting tired of fighting rachel's battles. "rachel, why do you think quinn is being insincere?"
you saw the look on her face change. you knew she just didn't want to accept, she knew that too, but she had to say something. "it's obvious" she said, turning away. "rachel." you said stern, a voice both of the girls were scared of. she turned back around and sighed "i accept your apology" you let go of quinn, hoping she wouldn't charge at rachel.
you instead wanted to try something new.
"why don't you two hug it out?" you said smiling. hoping they wouldn't turn on you. they both looked at you in disgust. you, however, were very adamant. you put her hands on both girls backs before gently pushing them towards one another.
they sighed before holding their arms out and hugging each other. it was the weakest hug you've ever seen. neither one of them moved a muscle. you quickly wrapped your arms around the both of them and hugged them as tight as you could.
they both smiled, letting out a few soft laughs along the way. you knew they would fight again. you hoped this time, however, they would be able to let it go themselves.

Why does Saeran keep calling Saejoong "father" until the end? Saeyoung does that too, doesn't he?
That man is anything but a father.
I think it's a complicated answer at the end of the day. That man... is technically their father, but you're right, he's anything but. Saeyoung only says "father" in a condescending way, the same way Saejoong in return, says "son" to him. They have a mutual distaste for each other and that's the only trait they share.
As for Saeran, I'm sure you could say the same for how he always called his mother "mother". He continues to call her his mother even though she doesn't deserve that title. His brother says it to you quite often, Saeran’s heart is gentle at its core. He doesn’t want to hate any more, and that’s a part of his forgiveness arc. He forgives his mother, and he accepts that she was his mother, even though she never once acted like it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's the same sentiment for his father. Whether he likes it or not, that man is his birth father, and he has accepted it, just as he accepted that his mother was his mother. He wouldn't be able to exist without the two of them, and he understands his experiences are because of the people his parents are. He is ending a generational curse by doing things his way, choosing to forgive them so that he may learn how to forgive himself for what he's done.
He knows he can't change who his parents are. He doesn't have to define them as the people who took care of him because they are not that. But, he acknowledges that his existence is because of them and many of the things he has done came from what he suffered at their hands.
That's why he calls them the title of parent, not because either of them earned it, but because for Saeran to accept himself, he wants to accept that his parents influenced him. That's how he feels. That's what he says.
For him to find peace, for him to learn how to live past what he suffered, he chose to acknowledge their existence and forgive them so he could forgive himself. He is a kind soul, and sure, I know a lot of people don’t like that.
Many of us would rather rip his parents to shreds, myself included, because our healing process is different than his. But, that's what the after-ending is about, showing you that everybody has a right to their feelings as long as they don't hurt themselves or anybody else (Well, anyone who doesn’t deserve it, anyway. Your actions have consequences, Rika, V, Saejoong, Agency Boss, etc.).
His words speak for himself here and I don't feel like I need to reiterate what he says all that much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't mind explaining this over and over again since forgiveness is such a messy topic, but I hope people understand he forgave them so that he could forgive himself. In everything he did wrong, he was copying the people who hurt him every step of the way because that was what he felt like he had to do to survive. He knew that if he could forgive them for what they did, he could forgive himself for emulating them, for copying them.
But, I digress.
He knows they are his biological parents, but he won't consider them to be guardians, people who looked after him and made him feel safe. He didn't have that... at least, he didn't have that in a conventional sense.
Saeyoung is the only person who was like a parent to him and we don't have time to unpack Saeyoung's parentification.
Saeran had a lot of people who looked after him thanks to Saeyoung, but... V and Rika? He doesn’t consider them to be parents to him, he said that himself, Saeyoung, though? He felt that way. He saw V and Rika as stand-in parents. There's no denying that fact, but it makes it all the more painful when you see V drug Saeyoung on the second day.
You see his eyes soften, desperately pleading with somebody he thought to be a father to him to not disappoint him. To not let him down and see reason.
Saeyoung doesn't get that.

My not so normal little sister
Chapter 4 - Friends until the end
New York 5 years ago
"Don't worry mama, everything is fine here. My meeting with Edna will be in the afternoon and now I'm going to central park…." She frowned briefly when she heard her mother's answer on the other end of the line, then replied "okay, don't worry… we'll talk when I get back from the meeting. I love you too… au revoir "
Marinette left the building as soon as she finished talking to Sabine on the phone. She had been in New York for a week and it was the first time she would venture out into the streets of the big city alone. She was lucky to got an exchange program for her senior year of high school and the teenager was excited about the internship she got with Edna Mode. So excited that she barely noticed the person who came running as soon as she left the building, causing both of them to bump into each other, spilling all the coffee she was holding all over them.
“Merde, comme je suis inattentif ! Êtes-vous bien? mille pardons pour cela..." She stopped to observe the boy who was looking at him strangely, not understanding what she had said.
“Sorry, I didn’t understand what you said…”
Marinette was immediately embarrassed by the guy, realizing she hadn't spoken English “sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going and I spilled all the coffee on you. Everything is fine? Did you get hurt?"
Peter looked at the young woman in front of him. He was surprised that he hadn't sensed her presence before impact, something his senses prevented from happening. He stared at her as if she'd grown another head. Realizing that he was staring at her, he glanced at the clock widening his eyes and realizing that he was late for the internship interview he had scheduled.
"I'm late and I won't be able to go home and change for the interview" Peter said running a hand through his hair. “I'm fine miss, don't worry, events like that happen. Are you well? Did you get hurt in any way?”
“I'm fine, thanks, but I can't let you go out like this, even more so with an interview to do” she spoke looking at the boy's clothes, pressing his lips together and taking a deep breath. It was her fault and she needed to fix the problem she caused.
"Ahn, I'll be going then, I'm already very short of time..." Peter started to speak but was cut off by Marinette.
“I know we don't know each other but I can't let you leave like that for your interview either… My name is Marinette Dupain - Cheng and I live here” she said pointing to the building behind him and extending his hand to shake  “Let me at least fix what I did? I can’t be responsible for you missing an opportunity…”
"My name is Peter Parker, you aren’t from around here, are you?" He commented briefly, squeezing her hand and not giving her time to respond, “I can't accept this miss…”
"Don't be silly, I won't allow you to go to an internship interview like that.. " She took his hand and pulled him towards the building… "I'll help you, it's only fair after I ruined your outfit"
................................................
'Time passes and one thing remains constant: Marinette Dupain - Cheng can't be on time even if her life depends on it' the young woman thought, running towards the stairs and, as always in her life, obviously she was late on her first class day. Lucky for her (so much for being the lucky miraculous holder) she had already picked up her schedule the previous afternoon. The biggest problem at the moment would be getting to class on time “argh” she mumbled looking inside the school not knowing where to go, until she felt someone bump into her shoulder.
“Could you… Peter! I didn't know you studied here. Good to see you! How was the interview? Did you get the internship?” Marinette spoke as soon as she saw the young man at the entrance of the school where she was going to finish her senior year. She was relieved to find someone who could perhaps give her some direction on where to go...
“Marinette? Wow... what are you doing here? Is this where you got your exchange?” he said adjusting the backpack on his back that had almost fallen
"Yes! How lucky to find you here… think you can help me? I'm kind of lost here, it's my first day” she said excitedly.
“Of course, I'll take you to your class, it's the least I can do for the help you've given me. By the way, I passed the interview and got the internship" He commented, taking the schedule from her hands and walking beside her… “We have a few classes together, including this first one. Come on, I'll show you around here later..."
"Congratulations on the internship! And thanks for the tour. It's good to know I can count on you!" She said smiling with a mix of nervousness and hope, following him closely, almost a step away.
"Whenever you need it..." replied the boy, looking at her as he held the door for her to go through first.
Present day - Paris 9:30am
Marinette had just entered the room. She started to remove her earrings, seeing Tikki Sass and Long talking in the corner of the room. She stopped next to Luka and Kagami, taking a deep breath as if she was trying to gather her courage.
“You know what you need to do, if something happens…” she spoke in an agitated way being cut off by Luka who placed a hand on her shoulder
“It's going to be okay, you need to calm down. Are we going to take care of everything, or do you not trust us?” he smiled slightly watching the youngest make a line with her lips.
“Thank you, I know I can count on you…” she hugged him and then her friend who was beside her, smiling slightly. She was going to make a comment, however she saw the Kwamis hide and the door opened right after. She didn't have long to register what was happening, when she was nearly thrown back by the force of the hug she received. She only really understood when she heard the boy call her name.
“Mars! Did you really think you were going to get rid of me…” Peter spoke as he hugged her tightly;
“I couldn't even if I wanted to… and this time I really tried” he replied a little muffled, feeling tears gather in his eyes. She stopped to look at her friend closely, smiling slightly at him. "I missed you…"
“Me too, you stubborn. You should have given me the details of the surgery, I could have been here sooner. And it doesn't even come with that one that ‘I didn't want to disturb.’ We are in this together!” He said not letting her say anything, he pulled away a little giving her a light kiss on the forehead. “Your parents are outside talking to the doctors…”
“I figured you came with them… Let me officially introduce you.” she said pulling away and turning to Luka and Kagami “I know I already introduced you online, but this is the first time you've seen each other in person. Kagami, Luka, this is Peter Parker, a good friend from New York. We worked together a few times on some projects and the whole tech part is usually he who saves me.” she smiled, watching her friends get to know each other better.
“We'll let you talk a little bit before your parents and the medical team come in. Everything will be fine Mari, remember that luck is always on your side!” Luka commented as he hugged her.
“We'll be here when you get back.” Kagami completed, hugging her next.
"I know." She responded, reassuring the two that she was aware of everything they both felt and wanted to go through. She waited for the two to leave and turned her attention to Peter.
“I need you to have my cell phone. He texted me at dawn saying he would try to be in Paris tomorrow…” she spoke nervously “what if he doesn't like me or thinks I want something from him? Did I do the right thing?”
“Mars, relax and take it slow… what are you talking about?” Peter smiled looking at her curiously.
“Timothy Drake. He's one of my clients” she ran a hand through her hair nervously “I told him about our mothers and he said he'd look into it. He believed in me Peter” she sighed and paused." We talked via email and I gave him my number.” She said handing over the cell phone with the exchange of messages between the two "he wants to do a DNA test and I don't know what to do with all this right now"
“Calm down, everything will be fine. I'll keep it and if by chance he decides to show up, I'll take care of everything. Did you tell Aunt Sabine?” He spoke as he read through the emails.
“No…I also told him that my parents don't know yet. What if this all goes wrong Peter?”
"It won’t. Let's solve one thing at a time. You can't be nervous now, let me take care of it and you calm down, ok? I'm here with you until the end” he smiled lightly hugging her.
“Thank you, you don't know how much this already helps me…”
“I see that you are very well accompanied, miss” the two walked away looking at the doctor who was entering the room with her parents “however, I think we should start the preoperative procedures, so as not to delay.”
Marinette took a deep breath going to her parents and hugging them tightly, then returning her attention to the doctor in a determined way "Let's get this over with!"
………….
It didn't take long for all the preoperative procedures to be completed, including the shaving of part of her hair, in the region where the procedure would be performed. She took a deep breath, trying to put her anxiety and nervousness aside, saying goodbye to her parents before heading to the operating room. Her last thought before the anesthesia took effect was that this would not be the first and not the last time that her life would be in the hands of fate.

So I'm writing a fic (slowly, ever so slowly) where Nancy and Ace finally have the talk they really, really need to have. Kinda about why this is so hard for them, when these are two people who have always understood each other extremely well. Behold my opinions (only my opinions!) below:
There are some very clear miscommunications going on here, and a lot of it is centered on both them being much more careful with the other's life than their own, and some pretty personal issues that existed before the advent of "Nace".
Namely, for Nancy, she is going classic Nancy. She is trying to lash out, she is trying to close him out, because she was and continues to be incredibly hurt, and because she thinks closing herself off to this will hurt less. Nancy has some significant abandonment issues, and Ace is the person who convinced her time and time again that she was worth it, that he would stay, and she actually so believed that he would. So him giving up, especially after he pushed her so hard to think they could solve it, I think is reading to her as Ace abandoning her like so many do, leaving her alone. He's making her feel like she's not worthy of fighting for, which is compounded by his unwillingness to try again and to accept needing space without a fight. She really seems to want him to fight for her, and it's likely really hurtful that he won't.
For Ace, this is also a lot of his own issues. Chiefly, he values her life a lot more than his own. Ace's self-esteem issues are big here. He really thinks a lot more of Nancy than he does of himself. He is absolutely willing to risk dying for her, but he is completely unwilling to have her die or be in any danger, particularly if this is his fault. He undoubtedly thinks of her as his great love, and by his perspective, he is sacrificing so much and giving up his chance at love to sit on the sidelines as he did before so that she'll be alive and happy. And that's such a huge sacrifice that he can't understand why she's angry at him. She also is a bit of a magnet to him. No matter how much he's hurting over her, he can't stay away from her, and he's certainly not willing to stop throwing his own life into danger to protect her.
Also, for both of them, they really don't seem to have considered the "you can't unring the bell" concept. Their relationship is forever changed after this, and as Nick pointed out, they were never only friends. Once they expressed what they feel, they can't shove it back inside. The relationship is never going to exist in the platonic iteration again, if it ever did. And for all the talk of space, and moving on, they really don't seem to be doing that. Nancy is passively allowing herself to be pursued by Tristan, Ace will likely get a one-episodeish love interest. But they are so soulmate-coded and unable to stay away from each other that I'm going to guess this won't last long. And if they could just TALK ABOUT THIS HONESTLY, they could sort a lot of this out. But now there's so much heartache and pain surrounding them, that they can't do what they've always effortlessly been able to do, and just talk to each other.

The Weekend
Tumblr media
Summary: Steve and Connie visit you and Javier in Texas; Connie realizes something new about you that changes everything.
Pairing: Javier Peña x F!Reader (The same from my Sweet Summer Series - there is a mention of the reader having hair again, but no other details)
Rating: 18+ (to be safe)
Word Count: 3,790 (ish)
Warnings: Anxiety/angst, fluff, fowl language, pov changes, and mentions of pregnancy symptoms
Author’s Note: This can easily be read as a regular oneshot if you haven't read the series yet/don't want to. Anyway, I was so excited to write this one cause I've wanted to write Steve, Connie, and Chucho since all of last year, I just never thought of a plot for it until now. (Chucho still didn't get enough love here, but someday, maybe, it'll happen). Anyway, apparently I won't stop until pretty much every Pedro character is either a first time dad or a dad again. Sorry, not sorry.
xxx
The first time you met Steve and Connie Murphy was on a weekend in mid-November, the same year you'd started dating Javier Peña. They'd driven from Florida with their daughter Olivia to stay at the ranch for a few days, Steve's excuse being that duck hunting season had started in Texas and he needed to show Javier how to actually shoot one, claiming his ex-partner was a shit shot and that it might take all weekend, leading to Javier to grumble under his breath and you to laugh.
They'd hugged despite initial hesitance from Javier and when he relaxed in Steve's embrace you understood then who they were to each other. Brothers, in every sense of the word but blood.
It only made sense from everything you'd gathered from Javier's father, the town, and later Connie and Steve himself. Colombia had been like a war zone, and war zones forged strong bonds, even unlikely ones. Not that Steve and Javier were all that different, you thought. After all, they'd shared the same goals while working together as DEA agents, they'd shared a similar capacity to do what needed to be done to reach those goals, and they'd both come back home with enough nightmares and regrets to last more than a lifetime. Connie had told you about nights where Steve startled from his sleep and didn't return to bed until morning and you'd shared with her that you'd caught Javier doing the same many times while you'd been dating, wandering outside in the middle of the night clearly in an attempt to empty his head of whatever was bothering him. Some nights he still smoked a cigarette or two before returning, the bad habit sometimes the only thing that helped calm him down at first, until he'd made some real progress with his therapist.
It was safe to say your first time meeting Connie and Steve had been eye-opening. It had helped you understand your boyfriend all the more, and you were grateful to them. Not just for the insight, but also for them having been there for Javier before you could be, and for them still wanting to be.
The second time they'd visited the ranch you and Javier were getting married and naturally Steve had been Javier's best man. Connie had also kindly accepted your offer to be maid of honor, since you hadn't had any real friends after you'd graduated college. Besides, after the first day you'd spent around her, you could've easily called her your best friend over all of your past friends. Connie was a very nice person.
You all had briefly seen each other once more when you and Javier had stopped by their house for a meal before heading out to the Keys for your honeymoon and that visit had been just as pleasant, ending with goodbyes and promises for future visits. You planned to make sure the Murphy family would always be a part of your lives.
And so they were back on the ranch the following November, Steve reaching out for Javier even as he roasted him once again. "Have to keep coming back until Javi is finally able to hit a bird. Any bird at this rate will do."
"Shut up, Murphy," Javier growled, though he couldn't hide the smile pulling at the edges of his lips. That made you grin, and it only grew broader when they hugged once more. You loved that your husband had a friend who understood him; who knew him from his darkest days.
"Let's get you all inside," you eventually said, herding them all towards the house, little Olivia tugging on your shirt sleeve as you followed them, looking up at you all adorably with her big brown eyes and wavy dark hair. "Food soon?"
You beamed down at her. "Soon. I'll have it ready in a half hour sweetie." You ruffled her hair a bit and she smiled up at you pleasantly before running ahead of everyone to fall to her knees before Trix, your red and white Basenji. Trix started licking her face like crazy and the little girl's giggles in reaction made your heart soar.
Once in the ranch house, Steve and Connie dragged their suitcases upstairs, into Chucho's old room. Chucho had moved out into a smaller, remodeled house on the south side of the property after you and Javier had married in June, on the day that marked the first year anniversary of your first meeting and date. It had once been a house for employees to stay during peak ranching days, but he'd claimed it was the right size for an old man of his age. You knew the real reason was because he wanted you and Javier to have your own space, because, though he hadn't said the words, you were pretty certain like most parents, he was hoping to become a grandfather.
While Steve And Connie were upstairs with Olivia settling in, you and Javier worked in the kitchen to finish chomping up fresh vegetables for the tossed salad you'd wanted alongside the main course of grilled chicken tacos which you were careful to monitor as the meat cooked.
They had just turned up at the kitchen table with Olivia when Chucho walked in, dressed in the cleanest white button down shirt and pair of blue jeans you'd seen him in since your wedding day. Everyone was in their best casual clothes. It wasn't every day they all got to gather together, after all. And it was almost Thanksgiving.
"Afternoon everyone," Chucho said cheerfully, snatching his cream colored cowboy hat off his head to hang on a hook by the main door. "Ya waiting on me?"
"You are just in time," you told him, smiling. You loved Chucho. He was as much of a father to you as your own, though you'd never admit it for your father's sake.
He settled at the table with Steve and Olivia while you, Javier, and Connie started to set the food out on it. You were feeling great physically and emotionally until you seemed to spin around too fast with the salad and barely managed to hold onto it, getting dizzy with the movement. Javier noticed your sway and pressed a palm to the middle of your back to steady you, concern evident in his expression. "Are you alright?" he inquired, frowning.
You nodded quickly. "I'm good." You weren't sure what had come over you, not being the type of person to easily get light headed, but you were feeling fine again as soon as the moment had passed so it was easy to brush off.
"Maybe you should see a doctor," Javier said lowly, only loud enough for you and a close by Connie to hear. Her eyes darted towards you both, and you could see the curiosity his words had peaked in her.
"You've been getting dizzy a lot lately," he continued.
"I'll set one up after the weekend," you promised him, more so he wouldn't draw the attention of any of your other guests. Whether you actually would or not was still up for debate. To you a little dizziness here and there wasn't enough to warrant a trip to the hospital. It was probably just a consequence of you being tired. You'd done some overtime at work recently and it had worn you down. You'd been going to bed early the previous four or five nights yet still hadn't made up for it. "But I feel fine, Javi. I swear."
He seemed satisfied with that for the time being, though he did insist on guiding you to the table to sit and had Connie finish helping him lay everything out.
The rest of dinner was pretty normal, filled with general chit chat about things like how Chucho and Javier were getting the cattle ready for winter, though it never got too cold in Texas, and how Olivia was adjusting to being in kindergarten.
Connie of all people seemed distracted the entire time, pondering, like she had something on her mind but wasn't sure how to say it. You were so concerned with her distant look that you almost didn't catch Javier sneaking a piece of chicken to Trix. Almost.
"Javi!" you exclaimed, dismayed, even though you'd suspected for a while that he'd been doing it. "No wonder she' begs for food now!"
He gave you a sheepish look and Steve grinned from his seat on the other side of him. "Going soft in your old age, Jav."
Javier huffed and you giggled. You knew it wasn't because of his age though. He and his father had both always had a soft spot for dogs.
After that you forgot about how odd Connie was acting until you both cleared the dishes from the table and began washing them in the sink.
"I don't want to be nosy," she whispered to you just loud enough to hear over the background noise of everyone else still talking at the table, "But I can't help it. Do you think you could be pregnant?"
Her question caught you off guard and you starred at her, frozen in place with a soapy dripping plate still in your hands. "You think I could be?"
"Javi said you've been light headed a lot lately," Connie stated, "And you told me just the other day you've been tired. And you also mentioned eating something that hadn't agreed with you. You said you almost threw up."
The cheeseburger you'd had Wednesday night. You hadn't thought about it since.
You glanced around to make sure no one had gotten up from the table. "Are you suggesting it wasn't bad meat?"
"Might not have been," she replied. "I've been around enough pregnant mothers in my nursing career to know greasy foods can trigger morning sickness in them, especially at night."
"Ironic," you quipped. Calling that pregnancy symptom morning sickness was very misleading.
Connie gave you a stern look and waited.
"I shouldn't be," you told her eventually, leaning back against the counter. "I mean, we're not using as much protection as we used to, but I'm still on birth control."
"Any chance you missed a pill or two?" she inquired.
You pursed your lips as you thought about it and bit down on your bottom one after. "It's possible," you admitted. "I do get forgetful sometimes. Usually I'm pretty good about taking prescriptions, but..."
"Are you late?" she interrupted.
You didn't have to think about the answer for that one since your birth control pills always warned you when it was coming. "I might be a few days late. It's not outside the norm for me, but it's also not really inside it either since the pills are really good at keeping me on a strict schedule."
She nodded. "You have any tests here?"
"I have a few in the master bathroom," you told her.
She craned her head towards the table. "Mind finishing the clean up boys?" she called out. Javier and Steve gave you both puzzled looks but when she explained you wanted to show her something upstairs they agreed to do so with Olivia's help.
You watched briefly from the bottom of the stairs as Steve hoisted her up to sit on the countertop and Javier said something to her that wasn't quite loud enough for you to hear before booping her nose with a soap sudded finger, making her giggle, and your heart swelled.
He was so good with her.
Minutes later, Connie sat patiently on the bench in front of your bed while you took three pregnancy tests in the attached bathroom, to be extra sure, and took your hand in hers when you joined her to wait, nervously bouncing your leg up and down.
"Have you and Javi talked about having kids before?" she asked gently.
"Of course we have," you answered with a sigh. "But we also agreed to wait a year before I got off the pill."
You weren't sure if you were quite prepared for it yet, but you knew you could ultimately handle whatever the results were, adapt your plans. What made you nervous was Javier. He was only just starting to find his peace, his healing, as much as anyone who'd been through what he had could. You weren't sure he'd be ready yet.
"I'm sure he'll be okay," Connie said knowingly, giving your hand a squeeze. "He's a good man and he loves you. I've never seen that man look at anyone like he does you."
The timer you'd set on your watch started beeping obnoxiously and you bolted for the sink where you'd placed the tests, anxiously scanning their result windows. There were two lines in each, which meant that they were all positive.
Without a doubt, you were pregnant.
Despite your concerns over how Javier would handle the news in that moment you were joyful, tears immediately flooding your eyes. Before meeting Javier you had lost all hope you'd ever get the chance to be a mother, but there you were, staring at three sticks that confirmed you would be one. You beamed at Connie when you walked back into the bedroom and she smiled back at you. "Congratulations."
You pitched into her arms and she squeezed you a little. "You're going to be a great mom. And if you need any advice, I'm one call away. Not that you can't call your mom too."
You chuckled as you also held onto her a little tighter. "I'm sure I'll need all the advice I can get."
You were fully aware that while you had wanted to be a mom for as long as you could remember, you hadn't had lots of interactions with babies. Olivia had hardly been a toddler anymore when you'd first met the Murphy family and you'd been an only child with an uncle and aunt who hadn’t had any kids.
"You'll do great," Connie assured you as you pulled away and wiped at your tear stained cheeks with the backs of your hands.
You nodded. It was comforting to know she believed in you and that she'd be there if you needed her help. She may have not known what it was like to be pregnant because she and Steve had adopted Olivia while in Colombia, but you knew her advice would always be solid because she was an amazing mother. Everything you hoped you would be.
You glanced towards the hallway. "Should I tell him now?"
"Delaying it won't make it easier," she told you wisely, grasping your elbow. "Do you want me to send him up here?"
"That would be great, thanks," you said gratefully.
She smiled sweetly at you. "No problem."
With that she left the room and you paced as you waited for Javier to show up. You couldn't remember a time you'd ever been more nervous - and you'd had major anxiety every time you'd taken exams in college.
"Connie said you wanted to see me?" he questioned as he strolled into your shared bedroom less than a minute later. When he saw the stress on your face his expression grew concerned once more. "What happened? Are you feeling okay? Did you get light headed again?"
You shook your head furiously. "No. No, Javi." You approached him and cupped his face. "I'm fine. I promise. I just know why I've been off now."
"What is it?" he inquired, stance still tense with worry. He searched your eyes with his dark ones as if they could answer for you.
"We're going to be parents," you told him, barely above a whisper.
He jerked his head away from your hand and blinked at you, stunned. "You're pregnant?"
You gave him a single nod to confirm and he gaped at you before wrapping you up in his arms and burying his face in your hair. "Oh, mi amor."
You melted in his hold after his initial reaction and hugged him back. "You're not upset?"
He pulled away from you and frowned. "You thought I'd be upset?"
You folded your arms over your chest, slightly ashamed of your assumption. "I wasn't sure. You said you wanted to wait a year, and I agreed to it. I had every intention of waiting, but I think I might have forgotten a pill at some point. It was a mistake."
He shook his head and leaned forward to kiss your temple tenderly, then your lips, letting his forehead rest against yours after. "However this happened, any child of ours could never be a mistake, hermosa."
You felt the love in his words bloom in your chest, warming it, and you beamed up at him. "So you're happy?"
"Of course I am," he assured you, brushing his nose against yours.
You grinned wider and kissed him again. "You have no idea how relieved I am to hear that."
He smiled back at you, though it didn't reach his eyes.
You were too excited to retell the story of how Connie got you to take the three tests to see that it was a front.
x
Once you'd told him the whole story, you'd lead Javi downstairs to announce your news to Steve and Chucho as well, and they'd pulled you both in for hugs after giving their cheerful congratulations.
"I'm going to be a grandfather," Chucho had boasted proudly and you'd smiled at him fondly. "You sure are."
Javier had been overwhelmed with how happy everyone was for you both, and a part of him was undeniably happy too, but another part, the part that sat in the darkest corner of his mind, said he didn't deserve it. He'd barely accepted that he was good enough for you, he didn't think that could extend to an innocent baby who had no say in who their father was.
He put on a show until his father left for his house, then excused himself to go hang out on the front porch alone, watching as clouds rolled in for an evening rain. It was fitting for his mood.
He should have known Steve would follow him out, handing a beer to him like it was some kind of peace offering.
He popped off the lid of his own bottle and took a sip before leaning on a beam at the front of the porch, across from him.
"Javier Peña, father," he said with a smile playing on his lips. "I'm honestly surprised." He quirked his brows. "Not that you are going to be one, but rather that it took so long, considering your reputation back in Bogotá."
Javier tilted his head, giving it to him. He couldn't say he wasn't surprised that a woman hadn't come forward to tell him she was pregnant while he was in Colombia. It wasn't like he'd been totally irresponsible, but the odds had to have been stacked against it not happening just by pure numbers. He'd had casual sex as a form of stress relief while he was there, just like smoking, and he couldn't deny he'd been very stressed during those years, especially since he hadn't always been able to keep his heart out of some of those said casual relations.
"I don't know if I'm ready yet," he admitted to his friend. "We just got married not that long ago. It took me months of therapy to work up to proposing to her and then going through with it. She kept insisting I was enough for her, that as long as I loved her that was enough, but I always still had that doubt at the back of my head. A part of me telling me she could do better."
"She could," Steve stated plainly, taking another sip of his drink. "And what about Connie? You think I deserved her?"
Javier snorted. "No."
"Exactly!" Steve exclaimed, pointing the lip of his bottle at his shoulder and grinning. "But that's not the point! Something Connie and several sessions of couples therapy when I got back to Miami taught me is that marriage isn't about what anyone deserves. It's about what you're willing to do for your partner. Who you're willing to be for them. And it's the same with being a father. I was a mess when we found Olivia. I didn't know what I was doing. And I'm not going to lie, it wasn't easy, but I did eventually learn how to be the dad she deserves. If you want to be, chances are you will be. It's as simple as that."
Javier glanced down at the bottle in his hands and swished the liquid inside, trying to find his words. "I do...want to be," he told him quietly.
Steve nodded. "That's good to hear. Because the one thing your wife definitely does not deserve is you running out on her now."
Javier clenched his jaw. "I'd never do that to her!" he hissed, outraged at the mere idea of it. "Lorraine was different. I was different. Back then I had the thought that marrying her would hold me back from my dreams of seeing the world and making a difference. Now I know better." He adjusted his stance and met his friend's eyes before continuing, "And I know being a parent can be tough, whether or not you're as fucked up as I am, but I do want this, more than I ever imagined I would."
"Shit, Jav," Steve said, the edges of his mouth pulling up, "Don't tell me that. Tell her."
He was right. Though Javier was sure you hadn't noticed, he still needed to tell you all of it. To assure you that he loved you and that he was going to be there for you, the both of you.
He chuckled and Steve raised a brow at him, uncertain of what was so funny.
"You ever consider a side job as a shrink?" Javier smirked and Steve huffed at him. "Depends, you ever gonna hit a bird?"
"Fuck you. You distracted me last time!"
Steve nodded at him as an amused gleam sparked in his pale blue eyes. "Sure. Whatever you say, Jav."
He patted his shoulder. "See ya in the mornin'."
Javier grunted a goodnight to him and entered the house to find you waiting in the kitchen, a broad smile on your face. He realized then that the screen door's window had been open.
"How much of that did you hear?" he asked.
You strolled over to him and kissed him softly on the mouth. "Enough to know you're going to be a great father, whether you believe it or not."
"Say that again," he murmured against your lips, his heart feeling like it wanted to burst out of his chest.
You understood, you always did. You placed a hand over his heart. "You're going to be a father, Javi."
He grinned at you and scooped you up into his arms. "Thank you for that."
"I couldn't imagine having a baby with anyone else," you told him honestly, and the love in your eyes left no room for him to doubt it, so he didn't.
You spent the rest of the night in each other's arms.

The sound of the television filled the room as Kazuya sat on the couch, his eyes glued to the baseball game playing out on the screen. Y/N joined him, curious about the intensity in his gaze as he watched every pitch and analyzed every play.
"Kazuya, you're such a baseball nerd," she teased, nudging him playfully.
He turned to her with a mischievous smile, not taking his eyes off the game. "Well, Y/N, it's not every day you get to witness the brilliance of the game firsthand. There's so much strategy, technique, and skill involved. It's fascinating."
Y/N chuckled, leaning closer to him. "I'll never understand your obsession with baseball, but I do love seeing your passion for it. You light up when you talk about the game."
Kazuya's eyes twinkled with excitement. "It's more than just a game, Y/N. It's a beautiful dance between the pitcher and the batter, a battle of wits and athleticism. Each pitch holds the potential for greatness or disappointment. And as a catcher, I get a front-row seat to all of it."
Y/N leaned back against the couch, crossing her arms playfully. "I suppose I should consider myself lucky to have a baseball nerd for a boyfriend. At least you'll always have something to talk about."
Kazuya's grin widened as he turned to her, his eyes filled with enthusiasm. "Oh, Y/N, you have no idea. I could talk about baseball for hours. The strategies, the statistics, the rivalries—it's endless. And I won't hesitate to educate you on the intricacies of the game."
She rolled her eyes, feigning exasperation. "Please, spare me the baseball lectures. I might just fall asleep."
He pretended to be offended, placing a hand over his heart dramatically. "Fall asleep? My passionate discussions about baseball are riveting, Y/N. I promise you won't be able to tear your eyes away."
Y/N laughed, shaking her head. "Alright, Kazuya, I'll humor you. Just don't be too disappointed when I start daydreaming about other things."
He feigned shock, his eyes widening. "How dare you? Baseball should be the only thing occupying your mind at all times!"
Their banter continued throughout the game, with Kazuya passionately explaining various plays and Y/N playfully teasing him about his obsession. It was a familiar dance between them, a playful back-and-forth that brought joy and laughter to their relationship.
As the game reached its climax, Kazuya's excitement grew, his eyes never leaving the screen. Y/N watched him, marveling at his childlike enthusiasm and unwavering dedication to the sport he loved.
"You know," she said, breaking the playful banter for a moment, "your passion for baseball is one of the things I love about you. It's a part of who you are, and I wouldn't change it for the world."
Kazuya turned to her, a soft smile on his face. "And your acceptance of my baseball nerdiness is one of the things I love about you. You embrace all parts of me, even the ones that might seem a little strange."
Y/N leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek. "Well, someone has to keep you grounded, right?"
He chuckled, his eyes still glinting with excitement. "I suppose you're right. And who knows, maybe one day you'll find yourself caught up in the magic of baseball too."
Y/N grinned, her eyes sparkling. "Never say never, Kazuya. With you by my side, anything is possible."

After an hour of tossing and turning your bed, you end up mustering up courage to go out of the house and get some fresh air. If you keep lying here you'll probably just end up going crazy because of every little thing. When you stand up from the bed, your eyes fall on the bag kept on the side table. You sigh getting frustrated by just the sight of it. You pick it up and shove it into the cupboard trying to forget about it.
When you go outside you find Jungkook standing near the lake in his pajamas looking up at the stars with his hands folded over his chest. He looks at you as you go and stand by his side, you smile at him out of courtesy. He throws a smirk at you and your smile turns into a frown.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" You ask him.
"Pretty sister in law will you help me?"
He fakes a smile.
"What kind of help is it?"
"Your sister wants me to do a very spicy photoshoot with her, I need you to convince her that she should not do it with me" You chuckle hearing his request.
"Why?"
"I literally gifted you a chanel bag like two hours ago and you can't do this little thing for me" He shouts at you with his hands on his waist.
"That was a bribe I thought it was a considerate gift" Jungkook grins at you.
"You are marrying her why would you not like to get some pictures clicked with her" You say to him giving him a side eye.
"Look what she wants is out of my limits. I don't want to have a strife with her because of this. She wants us to stand in the lakes, me in my boxers with her in a bikini" Jungkook sighs licking his lip with the tip of his tongue.
"Ooh sexy... maybe I should come to watch" You tease him.
"I'll be honest I don't like Dahyun very much. I can't do something like that with her. I know she thought that I would try to have sex with her tonight but I don't have any interest in that..." He blurted out the words to you like a breath he had been holding for too long.
"Why are you telling me that?"
"Because I know you don't like her a lot too" He answers.
"There has never been a thing she has done on my advice. She always goes against what I tell her to do." You reply moving your hand in the air.
"Exactly."
You realise what you had just said. If you make fun of her or give her ideas to make it better, she would end up not doing it or completely changing her theme.
"I'm not completely against clicking pictures. Something modest" He shrugs his shoulders looking at you.
"I wonder how many more things you're gonna get done through me" You say with your eyes shining brightly with joy. It gave you a strange fulfillment to be of use to someone.
"Let me think. Maybe ask her to not trouble me for a child. Tell her she won't look pretty then, she's obsessed with herself." He says but you nod in no.
"She would sacrifice for it. She understands that. She would be ready to compromise for a family. Trust me, I've known this woman for longer than you." You say looking at the darkness in distance.
"I do trust you regarding that. I know nothing about her" He says tiptoeing then pushing his feet on the ground again.
"Why are you marrying Dahyun?" You ask him at last.
"They have information leverage on me, Mr Eun's company. Information that could ruin me and my family." He says gravely.
"Oh" You remark stating your oblivion.
"And..." He looks at you as he steps closer.
"What?" You ask him staring into his dark eyes.
"I thought it was you." You furrow your eyebrows in confusion, asking for an explanation.
"I thought the marriage proposal was for you. When I searched for pictures of Mr Eun's daughter, yours came up and I was in delusion that it was going to be you that I was set up with." Your heart pumps so hard you feel it thumping through your veins. His words produce a sensation in your body which rings through your skin and organs. You feel a knot tightening in your stomach.
"Would you have been different in your treatment if it were me?" You ask almost unknowingly as if you didn't what repercussions your question could hold.
"I would've been happier for sure"
"What if I didn't like you the way my sister does?"
"So you do like me?"
"Woah I didn't say that at all. Don't misinterpret my words and delude yourself"
"You said 'if' which basically means you actually do. Where did I read that wrong?" He was sinfully close to you now, your folded hands the only thing keeping your bodies from touching. You feel his breath hit your face which feels different from the cool air.
"Please maintain your distance or I'll tell everyone about all of this" You say jumping back from him as you walked away. You didn't wanted to be abandoned once again. Even though you were an independent adult now, you didn't wanted to lose the relationship you had with Mr and Mrs Eun over something like this.
When you go back into the house it is haunting how silent it is. As if no humans exist there. You hear muffled breaths coming from bedrooms when you go upstairs, the couples were having their fun on their mini holiday. Your fear wiped away over the situation and a humorous mood spread over you. You felt embarrassed to hear such things and walked silently with your hands over your mouth to not let anyone be aware of your presence.
When you go back to your bedroom you lie on the bed with a thud. Your heart beats faster after all the various happenings you hadn't anticipated. Jungkook's face looming in front of yours was the only image that you could see whenever you closed your eyes even when you kept them open.
You sighed feeling a throb between your legs, your hands reached there to relieve yourself from the pain by bringing yourself the sweet feeling of pleasure.

Hidden Away - Chapter 17
Tumblr media
pairing/AU: Javier Peña x female!reader
summary: When the DEU fails to catch Escobar you are sent to Bogotá to help the team.
warnings: I don't understand this so just gonna say mature content, 18+
word count: 3000+
Hello guys. My life has changed in the last few days and I'm always tired and, because the interactions are getting less and less with every chapter I'm thinking about ending this fic with two more episodes after this one, I have ready for a while now. So, you guys enjoy these last 3 chapters. It won't have a definite ending but well. Thanks for all who read it.
Chapter 17
When you woke up, you took your hands to your eyes to rub them and then stretched to remove the weight you felt on your shoulders. When you shifted in the chair you let out a small groan.
“Ouch, I'm all crooked.”, you said taking a hand behind your back.
“That's what happens when you sleep in a chair.”, Javi said, making you realize that his gaze was on you.
“Well, I didn’t even realize that I had fallen asleep.”
“Apparently you really need my company to sleep.”
"It seems so. Listening to you talk makes me sleepy.”
“Yeah right, it was me talking.”
“Apparently it's not the fact that I'm snuggling up to you because I fell asleep far away.”
“You did, but your hand only let go of mine now when you woke up.”, Javi replied with the beginning of a smile that made your skin crawl.
“What?”, you replied with your face turning pink with embarrassment.
“You have to admit it, you can't rest without feeling my skin on yours.”
“Or maybe I was tired and fell asleep, after having been thinking for so long that I had to find a new partner for the working trio. Now that I've started to be able to put up with you, I don't want to have to get used to someone else.”, you said to divert the conversation.
"I'll pretend I believe it."
“Seriously, even here you can't stop complaining about each other?”, Steve's voice sounded from the bedroom door.
“Steve, I completely forgot to tell you that Peña had woken up.”, you reciprocated.
"Don’t worry. The hospital called the embassy. But I was surprised not to see you there today. Did you come here straight away from home?”
"From home? Hmmmm...”
“So you don't know that the girl here hasn't left my side? She complains a lot but she can't live without me anymore.”, Javi said with a laugh that was still a little painful.
“Didn't you get to go home? You promised me you would rest.”, Steve grumbled in your direction.
“And I was going home. But then I didn't go.”
“Wow, how eloquent. You were going home but then you didn't.”
"Exactly. You see, simple and concise.”, you ended up answering.
“But look, Messina wasn't happy with the fact that you didn't go today. She needs your report.”
“The report... I never thought of it again.”
“Yes, but Messina did. And she's waiting for it so, if I were you, I'd go there as soon as possible.”
“Yes, I will. Well,”, you said turning to Peña. “You have Steve's company now so you already have someone to hear you moan.”
“Does he hold my hand too?”
"Say that again and I will hold just a finger, in the air."
“From you I accept everything.”
“I'm leaving before I send you back to the OR. See you later Steve.”
"See you later."
You left the room and went to the telephone to call a cab that took you towards the embassy. You still thought about going home first to take a shower but your car was still at your workplace and you didn't want to have to call another taxi to take you from home to the office. As soon as you arrived at your desk, Messina's assistant called for you.
“Y/N, you better go inside right now. She really wants to talk to you.”
"Seriously? Is she that upset?"
“You better get in quickly.”
"Ok, thanks." You knocked on the door and a voice told you to come in.
“So now you arrive when you feel like it?”
“I'm sorry but I was at the hospital with Peña. I lost track of time.”
“You were at the hospital with Peña. But are you a nurse now?”
"Sorry?"
“I am asking if you are a nurse. That would be the only reason for you to spend hours with Agent Peña at the hospital instead of being here, working.”
“Agent Peña was injured on a mission. I was the one who found him. I wanted to know if he was going to be okay.”
“Steve also wanted to know if his partner was going to be okay and he was here.”
You started to get unnerved by all the questions that were being asked.
“I know that for you we are mere instruments. When one stops working you get another. But for me Peña, Steve and everyone else I work with are people, some of them are friends. You value the bureaucracy of a report more than the life of an agent.”
“Who do you think you are talking to?”
“With the responsible for all those who work here. With the person that should consider the well-being and health of all of us and not the number of papers we fill out each day.”
Messina looked at you with eyes full of anger, although she understood your position.
“Go fill out the report on yesterday and then I want you to go and question La Quica.”
“After everything I've told you, do you really think it's a good idea for me to interrogate that guy? I think Carrillo is more than capable of making him talk.”
"He is. This time I’ll let it go. But if you repeat this type of behavior, you are sent back to where you came from.”
"I understand. But then you'll also understand when I tell you I'll be going back to the hospital when I finish the report. Have a nice day.”, and so you turned your back and walked out of Messina's office before she could answer again. After today you had to be careful with what you did. You couldn't give her any reasons to send you away. At least until you catch Escobar. You went to your desk and filled in what you had to fill in as quickly as possible and, handing the documents to Messina's assistant, you left the building and got into your car towards your house. Closing the door, you tossed your bag onto the sofa and dropped down next to it. A long sigh left your lips and your eyes closed in weariness. Still sitting, you took off the t-shirt you had been wearing since the day before. You got up and went towards your room where you took off the rest of your clothes and finally went to take a shower. The sensation of the water running through your body made it relax and unwind a little. You risked closing your eyes with the feeling of relief but quickly opened them again, when the black was replaced by memories of Peña's body falling, the metallic scent of the blood that covered him, his expressionless eyes. You got out of the shower again and chose an outfit to wear. Taking a bottle of water and a piece of fruit, you grabbed your things again and headed towards the hospital. When you got to Peña's room you started to hear Steve's voice complaining to Javi.
"So I can't leave you two boys alone that you star arguing right away?"
“Y/N, can you tell poor Javi here that he needs to eat?”
Y/N, can you tell blondie here that I can't even stand the smell of food here?”
“Okay, let's see. Peña, you're going to have to eat whether you like it or not. You lost a lot of blood and even with the transfusion you underwent, you are still very weak and if you continue like this you will never leave here.”
“And what's wrong with that? It’s much better to lie here for the rest of my life resting than having to eat this.”, he said pointing to the board in front of him.
“Come on, it can't be that bad. Let me see that.” You approached his bed, picked up the fork and brought a piece of food to your mouth. Soon your face contorted with the taste of what you had just eaten.”
“I can see you're loving it.”, Peña said seeing your expression.
“What kind of food is this?”
“You can now tell Steve why I don't eat that shit.”
"You're right, but you still have to eat something."
“Yes, but what? We can't bring anything from the bar because of the diet they put him on.”, Steve continued. You thought for a while.
"I know what we’re going to do." You went to your suitcase and took the piece of fruit you had brought from home. “Eat this.”
“A banana?” Javi asked.
“Why, are you afraid of putting long pieces of fruit in your mouth?”
“No, but I would rather see you putting it in your mouth.”
"I bite. Hard.”
"Ah, always so violent.", he replied taking his free hand between his legs, with an expression of pain in his face.
“Don't shit me. Eat the banana that has iron and you need it to replenish your blood levels.”
“You know a lot about recoveries...”
"Do you think you're the only one here to lose blood in raids?" And Peña suddenly remembered the file about you and all the injuries you had suffered, regretting what he had said.
"Of course."
“Then eat.”
“And by the way, Messina let you out so quickly?”
“Hmmmm, I don't know if 'let' is the right word. She didn't stop me from leaving”, you said looking around. “Let's just say that in the near future I'll have to walk the line if I don't want to get my ass kicked before we catch Pablo.
“Seriously, did you risk yourself just to be here with me? I already feel the love from here.”
“Don’t make me regret it. I'll shove that banana down your throat.”
“Well, since you're here again I'm going back to the embassy. I don't want to be a victim of the same fate as you. And you,” Steve said turning to Peña “do whatever she says to get back to work quickly. Anything, just call me.”
“Will do.”
And between serious conversations and some silly things, the hours went by, until night came and Peña was discharged from the hospital and sent home, with the recommendation not to make any effort, it being even necessary to have a nurse with him 24 hours a day. And you imediately called the embassy to inform them of this need, for the very next day.
“I don't need a 24/7 babysitter.”, Javi complained.
“I thought you would be happy. You will have a young nurse at your disposal, for whatever you want.” Javi didn't change his expression of displeasure. “You won't be able to get out of bed or do anything alone for the next few days. You have to have someone to help you.”
“And why does it have to be a nurse? Why can't it be you?"
"What? Are you mocking me?"
“Haven’t you been by my side all this time? Don't you know what needs to be done in recovery?”
“Yes but...” You didn't know what to answer. You didn't even know what to feel. “The nurse can help you much better than I can. And I have to work. I know you miss the action and you're not a cooped-up person but it's what's best for you. At least the nurse doesn't complain to you. She might even be as beautiful as you like them.” His gaze dropped from your face to the sheet covering him.
"You're right. I don't know what I was thinking.” Your heart broke a little.
“Okay, we’ll do it like this. The nurse is with you during the day and, when I come home from work, I take her place. It that okay for you?"
"Of course. Thanks."
“You don't have to thank me. I would do the same for any other friend.”
"Sure. I know..."
“So apparently I have to start today because the nurse will only be coming from tomorrow on. I'm just going home to take a shower and I'll be right back to prepare something to eat. I mean, do you have anything in the kitchen?”
"Yes. I have plates, cutlery, glasses, some beers,...”
"I get it. I’ll bring something from my kitchen. I don't know how you can live with nothing to eat at home.”
“I've always eaten a lot here at home but...”, Javi replied, laughing.
“I'm screwed. Well, I'll be right back." And so you did. A short time later you were back, in your pajamas and with some ingredients to make a quick soup. You took a plate for Peña to eat and sat on a chair next to his bed.
“So, did you get anything from La Quica yet?”, Javi asked while eating.
"Not yet. It looks like he locked his mouth and threw the key into the river.”
"Don't tell me I got shot for nothing."
“Don't worry, he'll talk. Sooner or later he will realize that being silent will only hurt him.”
“I've been here for so long and Escobar always manages to escape me. Sometimes I think we will never win this war.”, Peña began to confess softly.
“Hey, don't think like that. He is not special. He just surrounded himself with a lot of very loyal people. But they are becoming less and less, he is more and more alone, and he will be caught, he will fall, and it will be at our hands.”, you ended up saying while you took your plate with just one hand and placed the other in his leg, next to where you had your chair. Peña smiled softly and nodded as he finished eating.
After tidying up the dishes and the kitchen, you went back to his room to ask him if he needed anything.
“As a matter of fact I do, but I don’t know how to ask you.”
"With your mouth. Tell me, that's why I stayed here.”
“I need to go to the bathroom.”, he replied with a small laugh.
“Ahhhh, yeah. I hadn't thought about that. Did they not let you come home with the pee bag?”
"Unfortunately not. Even because it hurt like hell to come out.”
“Okay, I know how it is. You don't need to remind me. But what do you want me to do?”
“Take me there?”
"That’s it?"
“And hold me while I piss.”
"No way. I'll take you to the bathroom and help you sit on the toilet. You don't need to pee standing up. When you're ready, call me and I'll help you up.”
“Might as well be. But I really need you to take me right now.”
"I’m on my way. Don't wet the bed, it's even worse if I have to clean you up and change the sheets. This is why I will never have children. Let's go." You got close to the bed and helped Peña slowly drag himself up until his feet were on the floor. Sitting down next to him, he put his left arm around your shoulders and, slowly, you got up with him leaning on you. You took him to the toilet and left. “When you're done call me.” He, at great cost, dropped his boxers and did what he had to do. Soon he was calling your name. When you opened the bathroom door, you lowered your head and raised your hand to your face with your fingers squeezing the bridge of your nose.
“You do this on purpose, don't you?”, you asked seeing that he kept his boxers down. “Don't you think I've seen your penis enough times?"
“Not all the times in the world will be enough.”, he replied trying to hold back the laugh he kept from the moment he saw your face when opening the door.
“Look, I’ll leave you there to sleep.”
"Sorry. The stitches are pulling too hard and I haven't been able to bend over the scar to pull them up. Can you help me?"
"In a while I'll have to start charging for my services." You went over to him and, crouching down between his legs, grabbed his boxers and pulled them up to a position where he could reach them with his arms. Looking at you from above, he could see your head between his legs and he began to feel the heat run through his skin and, to his and your terror, he began to feel the veins in his member pulsating. He tried to avoid his thoughts as much as possible but he couldn't stop himself anymore.
"Are you kidding me?"
"Sorry. Next time I won't look down when you have your head between my legs."
“What next time? I'll tie a string to your boxers and you'll manage to pull them on. Oh, and when you get to bed, make sure you don't burst your stitches by taking care of that matter. And do whatever you have to do quietly, I'll be right there in the living room and I don't want to hear anything.” You picked him up again and, without looking at the swelling that was now hiding inside his boxers, you put him on the bed and covered him with the sheet. “Poor nurse. I mean, maybe she doesn't care. That's why you should stay with her all day. She might even want to help you with that.”
“Don't worry, that won't happen with her.”
“You haven't even seen her yet. Do you want me to ask for someone specific, with tall legs, blonde? I thought it was enough for you if they had a hole between their legs.”
“Do you still think that about me?”
“So just because you saw a bunch of hair next to your penis you got like that. What am I supposed to think?”
Javi thought a lot about what he should say.
“Nothing, it won’t happen again, I promise.”
“Okay. Well, try to sleep. If you need anything, just call.”
"Thanks again."
“Thank me by masturbating in silence. See you tomorrow. And don't break any stitches.”, you ended up saying as you closed the door of his room and headed for his sofa where you layed down, ready to spend the night, with your own desire filling your mind and making itself felt inside your panties when you imagined Peña hard because of you.

This is an angsty idea I've had for awhile that deals with Lorenzo's fear of Midas leaving him.
First off, I started playing the game several years late and don't know most of the lore before Chapter 4: Season 3. So if time travel was ever part of the story before Kado Thorne, I'm not sure and am ignoring it for my AU.
The angst starts after Kado's time machine was moved to Frenzy Fields and accessible to everyone. By this point, Midas and Lorenzo had been together awhile.
I've gone more in-depth about Midas's past before, but long story somewhat shorter, he was married to a woman who died a decade prior due to an illness. He got the Golden Touch because he needed money for a treatment, but part of the curse was that his wife wouldn't be able to get better. So she ended up dying soon after Midas got the power, and since he was unable to control the ability then, couldn't even hold his wife in her final days.
Jules blamed him for her mom's death, and Midas didn't feel fit to raise her, both because of guilt and not wanting to accidentally turn her to gold. She went to live with other relatives, and Midas became extremely depressed. He was alone for a long time, and it wasn't until years later after The Agency had been around for a bit that he was finally able to control the Golden Touch.
He eventually reunited with Jules, and had become best friends with Meowscles, so at that point he was much happier. But it wasn't until Lorenzo came around that he really became like his old self. He hadn't been in love with anyone other than his wife until then, and had been afraid of relationships after her death. But Lorenzo turned everything around, and they've been extremely happy together.
Once Kado's time machine was taken though, Lorenzo starts to worry. He knows how much trauma Midas has been through over losing his wife, and wonders if he might try to go back and change what happened. He loves Midas with all his heart and is terrified of the past being altered so that they'd never be together.
He's disgusted with himself for even thinking selfishly like this. Midas would have every right to go back and save his first love, and it was horrible for Lorenzo to want things to stay the way they were. He knew he wouldn't remember Midas if the timeline changed anyway, but he couldn't help it. He was scared and heartbroken, just absolutely certain that Midas would leave him to be with his wife in another reality.
Midas starts to notice that Lorenzo seems off, and he asks him about it. Lorenzo pretends like nothing is wrong for awhile, but eventually he breaks down and tells Midas everything. He apologizes for being so selfish and wants Midas to be happy, even if that's without him. He understands completely that this life wasn't what Midas wanted, and accepts that he'll never be his true love.
Midas is completely shocked when he hears all this. He starts to cry and practically knocks Lorenzo down as he lunges forward and wraps his arms around him, holding him tightly. He tells Lorenzo that he'd never change the past, and that he means everything to him. Years ago, he might have tried something dumb like messing with time, but he wouldn't even consider that now. Things happened the way they did, and while his wife will always have a special place in his heart, he wouldn't change a thing.
Lorenzo is his world, and he won't ever leave him. The two end up crying and holding each other for a long time. Midas repeatedly whispers sweet and comforting things to Lorenzo, kisses his cheeks and forehead, runs his fingers through his hair, and rubs his back soothingly. He just wants to cuddle with him and make him feel loved all night.
They fall asleep in each other's arms, and when they wake up, both are feeling so much better, and closer than ever.
