Hello mr. shutters bearer of all the arknights knowledge, do you have a “Fire Within the Sand for dummies” kinda guide? I went through the whole tutorial only to come out more confused than excited, don’t really know what I should be doing or why

After a full weekend of playing the game mode, I.... still don't know a lot myself (there is a crazy amount of features to this game mode) but I CAN do better than that horrid tutorial.

Understanding Reclamation Algorithm

So Reclamation Algorithm is a Survival game mode for Arknights, where the goal is to survive 12 whole days and defeat the boss at the end. Your run ends if the center of your base gets destroyed by enemies (or if you quit), but any structures you add to your base will carry on to your next run, assuming it survives the attack.

Let's get one thing out of the way: no, you're not beating this game mode in a single run. Not even with an uber stacked roster of operators. Instead, by continuing to unlock your tech tree and building your base little by little, you can eventually get stronger and stronger headstarts to your runs until you'll manage to survive all 12 days.

So let's talk about how to get started:

Like any other survival game, your first order of business is acquiring Food, Water, and Materials to build your base and other tools with.

When you first start a run, you have your base in the center of the map, and nodes linked to it that have logos for what you might find inside. These nodes are (mostly) stages, containing different resources. A water droplet means the stage has water, a crab logo means it has crab enemies you can hunt for food, a log means it has trees you can cut for wood, etc. Entering one of these stages uses up one of your Act points, and if you use up enough you can't enter any more nodes and have to press "Advance" (seen on the top right of the picture) to go forward 1 Day.

Now whenever you try to enter one of these stages, you're taken to the following screen:

In RA, each operator has a Stamina meter. Bringing them into one level reduces their available stamina by 1 point (so no spamming your best team over and over!). If an operator has run out of Stamina, you can feed them one Stamina point once per day using electrolyte isotonic, but for simplicity's sake let's call it gatorade.

So here's the gatorade screen. Using it is simple. You chuck food items into a blender, and whatever comes out is gatorade. More gatorade = more operators you can feed at once. Since making gatorade is necessary to keep refueling your operators, this means that you'll need a steady supply of food.

Another thing you can do with Food is cook them into special meals instead of Gatorade by combining various food ingredients. These meals have special effects that you can feed to an operator like +1 Block or +30% ATK, I'll leave you to discover these on your own.

Acquiring more food is simple. You see those nodes called "hunting zones"? It means there's food inside them. Bring your operators in and kill the monsters inside to keep you fueled. Collect as much food as you can before time runs out!

You can also build farms in your base to supply you with wheat for food each day, but building a farm (called Portable Planting Trough) requires you to have Materials and Water.

Acquiring Materials is done the same way as acquiring food. if you see a logo in a node that says it has wood, that means you can enter the stage and have your operators chop it down to collect wood until the time runs out.

When you have materials, you can go to this screen called "Research and Development"

This lets you use the materials to craft stuff for your base or tools for you to use while exploring the nodes.

So for example, if I want to build 1 tile of a defensive barrier for my base, I need 3 wood and 1 water. I can then plop this wall down on my base, and as long as it doesn't get destroyed in battle, it carries over to my next run, slowly building a fortress!

But you need water to build anything, and this is where you'll have to pay a bit more attention.

Acquiring Water is more difficult than Food or Materials. Unlike the others which can be done by operators, you MUST have a water pump tool crafted (hilariously called the "Crabbie Pumpie") to get water. Bring the Crabbie Pumpie with you into a stage with water, plop it down on a water tile, and watch it extract water every few seconds. Here's what you'll need.

So as you can see, you need Food to fuel your operators, Materials (like Wood) to build your defenses and tools (such as a Crabbie Pumpie to acquire Water), and Water to be combined with Materials to build your base defenses.

You need to build these base defenses, because every few days, raiding parties will attempt to attack you and end your run by destroying your Energy Facility. Building defenses around your base helps you survive these attacks!

Understand everything so far? If so, congrats! The rest of Reclamation Algorithm can be discovered for yourself as long as you understand how to acquire Food, Water, and Materials, as well as how to keep your operators refueled. This game mode has a shockingly large amount of complexity to it that would bloat this guide if I tried to write everything, but as long as you remember what Food, Water, and Materials do and how to get them, you can stumble blind through everything else and learn it by playing the game!

Here's some basic tips to get you started:

Operators with low redeployment times are king. Not only can they dart around a map to take out enemies and hunt down food, but when acquiring materials, an operator must be retreated to empty their backpack into your base. This means that you'll be retreating and deploying operators while gathering materials, and fast redeploy operators like Executor Specialists and Agent Vanguards help immensely

Summons provide vision on stages just like operators do, which means that Summoners or Trappers like Magallan and Dorothy can light up a map all on their own. Useful for scouting out enemies or finding resources hidden in a stage!

"Gathering Hubs" are tools to help you get resources. Deploy one facing a batch of trees or rocks or ores, and the hub deploys machines to help your operators carry materials back to base.

"Portable Planting Troughs" are farms you can put in your base that give you 1 Wheat a day. They really help keep you stocked up on food and I recommend you build them as soon as possible so you have a steady supply of food to make gatorade with!

Don't feel bad if you're not surviving for very long at first. Enemy waves in RA are brutal, and your base needs to be a damn fortress to survive all 12 days. You can just quit a run if you think if a raid is looking like it will crush you, you can keep your base unharmed that way!

Invest in +Starting Wood at the upgrade tree first, not having to farm wood as your first action of every run can give you a lot more flexibility!

🐴Once Upon A Time In Chestnut Ridge: A Bachelor Challenge

Meet Dakota Blue Heron, Chestnut Ridge's most eligible bachelor!

Dakota is 29, stands 6'3 tall, living on Crow's Head ranch, primarily a horse ranch that is open for guests in the spring and summer months. The ranch is owned and operated by the Heron family, being passed down through generations for over a century. Kindly, Dakota's parents have allowed the ranch to be used this season, in hopes that the show's popularity will help bring in more guests and customers.

Dakota accepted the network's offer to be Bachelor in hopes of finding a life partner, having little time to meet new people in his regular life. Also because, in his words, "this seems fun!"

Here's a few things he wants potential contestants to know about him: he spends his days working in various different parts of the ranch (in the horse stalls and gardens especially), he grows most of his food and whatever he doesn't grow he sources from local and ethical producers, he loves being surrounded by people (especially those he holds dearly), occasionally hunts (deer and invasive species mostly). He speaks navajo, navajo sign language, english and spanish, and is a tribal member of the navajo nation. Dakota wants kids and is looking for a partner with similar desires to start a family.

geolings are so cool, do you have anymore info about them you’d be willing to share? i’m especially curious about their home planet, tech, and diets

thank you!!! and sure! their tech stuff I have to do more thinking on (but they are advanced enough to currently be in a big space exploration era within their own solar system. one day I'll draw their aerospace stuff) however the other two I can share an alright chunk of info about

I do not have a map YET (I'm bad at those)(and need to research stuff) so I will give my best description of this instead: the Geoling Homeplanet is a super-earth orbiting a K-type star with red to purplish-red vegetation color and large amounts of ocean coverage. meanwhile geolings themselves are from a clade that evolved to occupy the sort of niche that semi-aquatic and marine mammals did, however all their closest relatives are smaller than them due to geolings exhibiting island gigantism. they are originally from the Wyu'hlkee island chain, a swath of land containing a massive trailing arc of volcanic islands, and three large main islands that connect to Ipsagaarin, a huge landmass that makes up their southern pole. a good amount of them still live in these areas to this day, but they have since traveled out to and expanded their presence into the other parts of the world.

in addition to this they have three moons, Waaraas, Waabors, and Ynsi. The first two are sometimes called (in approximate terms)"the twins" and actually have some life on them, but Ynsi is rather small and bare.

there is also an elevated amount of volcanism present on their homeplanet for no real reason other than I think it's fun :-) I like volcanos. though it's also because volcanic sand is the reason why geolings are originally very dark colored, but hopefully I can show off some of the much lighter variants soon.

As for their diet, they are Mesocarnivores and their teeth that you can see here are made more for crushing and slicing rather than grinding. ->

their diet mostly consists of fish, other large marine animals, shellfish (their fav food group), bones, fungi, fruit, and roots. they do use agricultural systems like underwater orchards, mushroom beds, and aquaponic farms to get their food now, but hunting for a meal isn't something that has vanished from everyday life for them. they use those funny whiskers you can see on them- those are actually sensory organs they use to find food underwater, primarily animals that are buried in sand. like this.

they have poor close range vision so they use their whiskers to sweep sandbeds and beaches for hidden snacks then dig them out with their teeth or handheld rakes. they can easily crack open shells and scrape meat out too. this is just a basic form of eating raw food, but they do love to cook too! frying foods in flavorful oil and fat, dousing them in spices, fungi shavings, and sprinkling them with salt is one of their favorite things to do. they're also huge fans of pickling and smoking food for preservation and flavor too. however they cannot taste sweets and the fruits they do eat are rather bitter or spicy.

im thinking about how cooking food is often sited as the reason humans were able to evolve the way we did with our big brains and trying to translate that to mermaids

Because obviously if mermaids have human level intelligence it makes sense that they would have some similar method of making food more nutritious/preserving it so they can spend less time looking for food and more time developing big thinky brains, right? But unless we're talking about deep sea mermaids that have access to thermal vents they have no obvious way of cooking things. The only way I can imagine being able to preserve something under water is a controlled rot/fermentation process but even then I have no idea the logisitics of it being underwater. (I haven't looked to see if there's a viable way to preserve food stuff underwater, I imagine there Would be some kind of way? possibly using bottles? but idk)

so obviously the easiest way to ensure you have enough food around is to farm it right? especially underwater, where you have things like mussels and clams. maybe some kelp to round out your diet. Like obviously the mermaids are still hunting fish and eating drown sailors, but I just think it makes sense that a staple food for them would be these easier to catch, non-moving sources of food that they could theoretically farm. I also don't know the logistics of trying to farm spawn casters in the open ocean, maybe they farm crabs or something that aren't spawn casters and have eggs.

I don't know why I have suddenly become deeply invested in mermaid agriculture, but I am. I think mermaids should be farmers dammit

What is the culinary practices like in Bug-world?

Do they like to cook their foods into dishs? Being breaded and fryed, baked, dried.

Or is it very simple? Like basic honey, raw aphids, fresh fungus, etc?

@bringerofmilk They do indeed cook their foods into dishes! Bread, fried, baked dried- you name it they'll work with it, and its mostly due to fascination in old human cook books!

Though that's not to say that cooked foods float everyone's boat, many insect folk (especially the more carnivorous bunch) enjoy eating things raw!

Even more infodumping as per usual underneath the readmore!

There's insects, like Abegail (though she focuses on human medical practices), who specialize in researching and practicing human cooking methods! And its waaaaaaay more common than expected, the people of Bug World enjoy variety to their foods too heheh.

Cooking also makes more foods readily, and safer, to consume! As some species have their toxins neutralized when cooked. But it all boils down to personal preference really.

On average, there's a preference for breads, baked sweets, pastas, salads, and soups. And steaks, lots and lots of steaks when available.

The giant fruits, roots, edible plants, and vegetables are commonly used when found too! But since they're massive the take longer than usual to harvest- it takes a big team effort to make them bite sized.

Both Finn and Liam are fans of giant strawberries and Jake loves eating clovers. Scarab will eat whatever Liam offers him really without any complaint.

Oh! And when a Beast gets hunted (very rare for the massive ones but it does happen!) the meat is very valued and often gets distributed to all areas nearby.

Also, while Liam does love eating raw aphids (a guilty pleasure of their's- they just enjoy the taste a lot and they crave meat a lot too) and honey straight from the comb- they do enjoy cooked foods a lot! (Also the burger they're eating is from the young lizard beast they hunted + some pieces of wings- they taste like chips).

Finn's just chowing down on a regular ol pizza (with mushrooms harvested from a mushroom forest farm that is heheh but its safe to eat of course) And Scarab is eating an oil fried aphid.

As for foods that get made, lots of stuff is given to cooks as "spare" parts from recently deceased or (very often) over hunters or the hunted. Lots of sauces and seasonings go into cooking bug parts- gotta make them tasty or they default have a really earthy taste to them.

Most common things that get given to the cooks to well, cook, are crickets and grub! Crickets can get really brutal when battling for standard brood laying area "hunts" and the ladies can really tear each other apart when doing so.

When that happens, they basically give themselves a final meal of tasty fruits or meats, then either die and have themselves transferred to their dinner of choice or go their themselves if they have enough energy to do so!

In fact that's a standard for most dying bugs to go to a place to eat (they get spoiled with luxuries) before passing away peacefully and being sorted through their "will" afterwards. Abdomens are a common "steak" and often cooked and served as is or breaded/fried.

Carapaces (if given permission) are ground up and turned into their version of flour to make certain bread products.

As for grub, various beetle folk have A LOT of grub and not all make it (or some grub turn on each other and leave half eaten siblings behind RIP) so they often get sent over to cooking places.

Overall, lots of bugs on the menu!

Food Whump Ideas 🍗

Everyone needs to eat, including our beloved Whumpers and Whumpees. Oh, and Caretakers as well. Here are some thoughts I had about it.

💔Whumpee:

Starvation. Another fairly unimaginitive form of torture, but one of the most horrible of all of them.

Whumpee does incrisingly horrific acts for a mere promise of some food.

A whumpee with food allergies, who has three choices of meals. Whumper tells them that one of them contains the allergen, and Whumpee has to choose themselves. Cue the horror and paranoia, as well as imagining sympthomps of an allergic reaction (confirmation bias, happened to me on several occasions). Bonus points if the meals don't *actually* contain anything dangerous to the Whumpee.

Whumpee being fed their favourite meal every day, for months on end, and growing to distain it.

Loss of taste, maybe due to brain damage, extended sickness or lack of meal variety.

Just Whumpee being grateful for getting to eat a piece of bread or something similiar.

Whumpee being overwhelmed by the amount of food choices in stores, and going with the simplest, most bare-bones version of the food (inspired by the movie Hurtlocker).

Simple stuff like bare bread becoming Whumpee's comfort food.

Whumpee is abducted with their pet animal, or one of their favourite animals is thrown into the cell with them. The hunger is unbearable, and the animal looks...so...tasty.

^Maybe Whumpee is non-human, and they start to question their sanity when the primal desire to hunt and eat kicks in.

Whumpee being fed only gruel or something similiar, with a taste as bland as it can get. After the rescue they are unwilling to eat more fancy foods like cereal or sandwiches.

Anorexia, bulimia or any other eating disorder as a result of trauma the Whumpee went through.

Being force to get fat, well paired with permanent crippling.

🖤Whumper:

Having the hungry Whumpee sit still on the floor while Whumper enjoys a lavish meal, perhaps the Whumpee's favourite dish, only to make them suffer.

Finally feeding the captive a full meal, only to next tie them to an office chair and spin them around until they've thrown up everything they ate.

Giving the Whumpee only leftovers from their meals for them to lap up like a dog.

Giving out food only in dog bowls.

Whumper, having had a good day, gives Whumpee something like a basic apple or a pear as an act of kindness. Whumpee is reluctant to take it at first, but ecstatic once alone again.

Whumper who forces Whumpee to cook for them (under the proper surveilance of course), and giving them what's left of the cooking process (stray pieces of cheese, leftover slices of tomato, cloves of garlic).

^Same idea, but Whumpee farming or taking care of animals (same leftover rule for animals if you're feeling especially disgusting).

^^Whumpee working in an orchard, and only getting the fallen, rotting fruit to eat.

Whumper throwing some scraps of food between two captives, and watching them fight for them.

Hiding needles/razors/glass in food, just for shits and giggles.

Pouring filth and trash (hair, feces, sewer water etc.) into dishes it's hard to notice in, like soups.

Forcefully getting Whumpee drunk, and having them do things they wouldn't do sober. Works best with defiant victims.

Taking photos of their progressively lankier form, and sending them to the Caretaker.

❤️‍🩹Caretaker:

Seeing Whumpee, once muscular and strong, now withered and husky for the first time.

Carrying the haggard Whumpee, who used to carry Caretaker the same way.

Caretaker afraid to touch Whumpee in fear of hurting their delicate form.

Helping them return to full physical condition; doing stretches, light exercises etc.

Making the Whumpee their favourite meal; Whumpee cries either because they now hate it (see the Whumpee section for reference) or they eat it for the first time since their capture.

Whumpee who's been enslaved for so long they forgot about daily things, or one who never got to experience it in the first place comes home and excitedly tells the Caretaker about something taken for granted, like ice cream. Caretaker nods along, happy to see Whumpee smile again.

Slowly helping them gain weight again, starting with dry bread and thin soups, working up to more heavy meals.

Helping the Whumpee lose weight and develop some muscles again.

Whumpee, having been brainwashed, thinks the meal Caretaker gives them is not meant for them.

Seeing the Whumpee take apart food, combing for any unpleasant surprises, and trying to assure them it's safe.

Helping them, overwhelmed with choice, pick a meal at a restaurant.

Cooking with Whumpee.

Remainding them to eat regularly.

Caretaker packing them launch on their first day of new work/school.

Feel free to use them in your stories, as always. Actually, I wonder if people actually write stories inspired by the Tumblr prompts, or enjoy them more as food for thought and the imagination. Whatever the case, poor Whumpees 😭

Idk I don’t think you’re giving the other links enough credit when it comes to preparedness. You’re kinda implying that they could just wandering into town whenever to restock but that’s not really true. I’d actually argue Wild had the easiest time because he could just teleport to ten different villages to buy whatever he needed at any given time (that’s how I played him in BOTW lol. I’d just clear out the stalls every few days tbh I’m too lazy to farm stuff myself sometimes). Plus he has a Hyrule that is full to the brim with natural recourses. Most of the other Links had much harsher worlds.

Time spent several weeks (months?) trapped in the future post-apocalypse where the only civilization to survive was a single village in the far corner of Hyrule. Every other town or place was destroyed or cursed or frozen.

Legend was a wanted criminal so he couldn’t just wander into town and buy a loaf of bread.

Twilight was trapped as a wolf for a long while and was actively chased away.

Sky was stuck on the ground without any civilization aside from an old lady and Groose.

Hyrule didn’t even have towns to go to during his first adventure.

Wind spent weeks at sea, which he couldn’t even fish in because there are no fish in the Great Sea. Plus he couldn’t get water easily. Arguably I’d say he had the hardest time with that because the life of a sailor is dang hard because of the lack of resources.

So I’d argue that the other are actually way more prepared to deal with the food situation than Wild, who’s literally never had to ration because he ran into food everywhere he went. Seriously it’s basically impossible to go ten feet in BOTW without seeing a mushroom. Even in the desert there’s stuff it pick. (It’s actually a problem for me when playing lol I get so distracted picking up each and every berry)

Warriors especially would be good at monitoring food levels because he was a Captain of a large army. If I know anything about war conditions in the pre-modern world it’s that food and starvation was a huge factor in winning wars. Fun fact - most strongholds and castles fell because people were starved out, not because the doors were bashed down. That’s why modern armies are so big on logistics now. So Warriors would be on top of that with details and numbers on how much an active man eats in a day and what foods keep and what’s the best way to transport it. There’s no way he’d not be deeply involved in something so important. So I doubt he doesn’t know the challenges of keeping a small army fed while on the road.

I respect your opinion and I get what you're saying, but you're missing the major thing that generally, the others can't cook. While that just may not be a mechanic in any of their games, it doesn't matter.

Like obviously the others aren't completely useless and I get why that pisses people off that Wild may be good at something that the others may not be.

It's not unreasonable to assume that the worlds of the other Link's are just as bounteous when it comes to wild plants and animals that can be hunted but the fact is that they NEVER needed to resort to foraging or hunting for their food. A lot of them healed up by killing monsters and picking up their hearts that popped out, which idk how that would translate to reality but whatever.

Wild was born with nothing to his name but a weird little iPad, he was forced to pick up everything along the way so he wouldn't starve. He couldn't even properly cook until he left the great plateau.

Not everyone plays the game like you do, it's honestly crazy to me that you waste your rupees on food that you can literally pick up off of the ground. I only buy things that can't be harvested like sugar and goron spice and milk.

You can have whatever headcanons you want but don't come to me acting like I'm wrong for not having the same ones.

Ahhh!!! Thank you for asking! I'm gonna take this opportunity to talk about my ship obsession, the loves of my life, Daryl and Eve.

Who made the first move: Eve did, of course, I feel like Daryl is more reclusive about his feelings or at least hides it.

Who kissed who first: Eve kissed Daryl first, it was after they started to settle down at the prison in Season 3.

Who started the relationship: Eve basically did. She fell in love with Daryl after all they'd been through on the farm and on their way to the prison.

Who remembers things: Eve

Nicknames for each other: Dumbass(Affectionately- Eve to Daryl) Babe (Daryl to Eve) Pookie(Eve to Daryl but it's mainly to annoy him with it)

Who is more likely to pay for dinner: Well, with it being the apocalypse, no one pays or goes out to dinner anymore. But, Daryl is the one who mainly hunts for their food if that also counts.

Who normally cooks: Daryl usually cooks what he's hunted for them while they are on the road traveling, but in their 'home', Eve prepares the meals for them.

Who remembers anniversaries: Time sorts of blends together during the apocalypse so it is hard to keep track or celebrate anniversaries if you have gotten together during that time In my opinion, so neither of them.

What would they get each other for gifts: Eve would gift Daryl hunting knives. In fact, she would end up gifting him a custom one that has engraved both her and their son's name on it. When Daryl is out scavenging he looks for books Eve's talked about loving in the past, or just gifting her books in general.

The most trivial thing they fight over: Daryl not wanting to take a bath after coming 'home' from being out in the woods or scavenging.

How often do they fight: Oh god they fought so much from Season 1 until Season 5. Now it's off and on, like 'normal couples'.

Who uses all the hot water: If they ever get an opportunity, Eve, but she also ends up pulling Daryl in with her so they can enjoy it together.

Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Zombie Apocalypse doesn't deal with landlords anymore. But if their 'home' is being threatened, or they need supplies or firewood, Daryl is the one who handles it.

Who leaves their stuff around: Daryl...Eve can't count how many times she has tripped over his boots or hunting gear.

Who remembers to buy the milk: Daryl does the supply runs.

Who controls the Netflix queue: There's no Netflix.

Who steals the covers at night: Eve, definitely.

Who cusses more: Definitely Daryl LOL!

Who does most of the cleaning: Eve does.

What’s their favorite non-sexual activity: Star gazing on a blanket together.

Who’s the cuddler: Eve, when they are finally alone together, she likes to soak up those moments as much as she can.

Who’s the big spoon/little spoon: Daryl is the big spoon and Eve is the little spoon.

Who’s more dominant: Everyone thinks it's Daryl, but it's Eve lol.

Who is the dirty talker: Daryl

What do they do when they’re away from each other: Daryl is usually hunting or on a supply run while Eve stays at their camp or 'home' taking care of people as their doctor.

What would they do if the other one was hurt: Daryl would be a panicked wreck, if anyone hurt Eve he would let his emotions get the best of him and attempt to go after them. Meanwhile, Eve would be frantic on the inside but on the outside, she would stay composed and in doctor mode to treat Daryl's injuries.

A headcanon: After the both of them are held captive by Negan, Eve is hardly able to fall asleep if Daryl isn't by her side. If he isn't she sometimes wakes up in a panic wondering if Daryl is still being tortured.

I feel like there would be no flies near his kitchen

I'm asking this because is he could kidnapped and I would not try to escape instead I would ask for a phone and watch decomposition time lapses for hours. I can imagine his horror as he comes in and sees the little worms eating good food on my screen.

The sight of maggots and flies reminds Morell of his youthful days, when he lived in a farm in the middle of bumblefuck nowhere. Prey was harder to catch, he had to be quick when he caught anything, get it home so he and ma could cook it in time for the rest of the family before it spoiled.

It wasn't always humans. They genuinely did have cattle at some point. Morell doesn't quite know when it started, his family had hunted humans long before he was born- But it started becoming a habit, a preference. And with humans, it's always harder to dispose of the carcass. You can't really toss body parts in the common trash and expect to go unnoticed. Morell often had to bury bodies deep into the ground, toss them into forested areas where the bugs would surely take care of them. Within time, that is, enough time that he would still smell the rancid odor of decomposition every time he went to check on its state. There were times where Morell would sit alone and watch insects writhe across several corpses he was tasked with disposing, as any troubled kid raised by a family of mass murderers would. You know, wholesome stuff.

Point being, Morell is very familiar with death, rotting, and all its gross, bug-filled glory.

Now that he works in a proper kitchen, as a well-known chef, Morell makes efforts to ensure everything is spotless in his workplace. To keep himself grounded in a professional mindset mostly. Too much grime or blood and he'll get into old headspaces, brutish mindsets. Do things he'll regret later on.

Morell will be... A little concerned by your fascination with said bugs. It's odd for the chef, he doesn't really see the appeal, but he can tell you about all the parts maggots eat first in a body, or how long it takes approximately for a good chunk of body fat to be mostly consumed. Would you like to see it in action sometime? If you're good, Morell can arrange that.

1. Chipotle order?

There's no Chipotle location where I live (the maritimes isn't really "with it" sadly. We only just got a Popeyes and a Sephora very recently). The closest Chipotle would be somewhere in Ontario, so about a 2 hour plane ride from where I am. The menu looks pretty good though, I'd try the chicken quesadilla with a side of red chili salsa!

2. Thoughts on veganism?

There's quite a few! Vegan food tastes pretty good if it's made by someone who knows how to cook or if it came from a good restaurant. Having friends or co-workers who are vegan can be a great way to encourage yourself to eat more veggies too if you struggle with it (I do). Lots of people turn to it because they don't like the thought of killing and eating animals, especially because there's a lot of workplace and animal welfare issues with factory farming. I get where they're coming from, but food solidarity is more productive in the grand scheme of things because in reality, veganism was only made possible relatively recently and in places where there's dependable/affordable food imports all year around (and there's issues with that too, farmers aren't treated very well, especially in the global south. Over worked, underpaid...). Canada is a pretty good example of this. If you go waaay way up north, fruits and veggies are insanely pricey, so what makes more sense? Buying a single box of strawberries for 25$ or hunting a seal or whale to feed tons of people for a good amount of time? My own family in remote Newfoundland lives by the ocean and about an hour away from the nearest grocery store, so it makes sense to catch your own seafood and have a moose for the family to last the winter.

The vegans I know in person are thankfully civil about it. They don't talk down on "carnists" (idk why vegans online use that as an insult sometimes because honestly it sounds both funny and cool at the same time), or insist on feeding vegan diets to cats. Thank goodness

So basically: food is food. Eat what makes the most sense for you and your family to eat and whatever that is, never stop practicing gratitude towards your farmers and butchers or family members who can hunt. We'd all be worse off without them

9. Do you have a skincare routine (and how many steps is it)?

It's very, VERY diligent. I used to have pretty bad acne and I was on accutane for about a year after university 6 years ago. It's great stuff, but it can be hard on your body. To this day, sunscreen is still the first thing I put on when I wake up (although skin cancer alone should be your reason to wear it everyday no matter what. Especially if you live somewhere where healthcare isn't timely or affordable). Right now I use these to keep breakouts at bay. My skin is the best it's been in years.

27. What’s your favorite or go-to outfit?

Right now, it's a bright pink and gold silk robe with a hood. I have good pictures of it from the designer here:

The designer repurposed the fabric from an old wedding dress, and it makes me feel all rosy and happy everytime I wear it. As if I was made part of an old love story

Although you know what, a friend of mine did tell me once that it reminded her of Homestuck. I don't know how I feel about that ☠

What would all the horror bros think of an s/o that just loves to eat? Like, they'll be snacking all the time if they could, and they'll gladly eat whatever their skelly lover makes for them.

They do have a bit of chubby tummy, but it's soft and just shows that they're well fed, plus they enjoy going for walks with their datemate so they do stay healthy as well.

They also loves to take a little nap after dinner, and they always prefer to bring skelly over to the couch so they can nap together.

Just got inspired to write this ask after eating a lot of pea soup. I'm about to enter the famous nap coma that comes from eating a lot of food for dinner oml.

Of course! I had a lot of fun writing this. There are so many different boys. I have way too many horror boys lol.

Axe: Cooking and sharing food with someone is one of Axe's way of saying how much he loves you. He could easily keep that food for himself, but he doesn't, so he wants you to know that he cares about you enough to share. So, when he sees that you've been eating enough and you have that little chubby belly, it makes him feel REALLY good. He feels like a good datemate. He often likes to rub his hand on your belly while you're asleep on him, and sometimes squish it gently. It's not his fault he likes the squish.

Noodle: They love that you're almost always snacking. They refill your little hidden snack area that you think that you keep hidden, they refill your bowl sometimes when you're not looking while you two are having dinner together. Plus, they love that you always eat what they make! It's very sweet. They don't really like to take naps, even though they are supposed to! So, whenever you go to take your after food nap, drag them with you. It's for their own good.

Hatchet: The fact that they're always enjoying snacking and likes to eat whatever he cooks, it triggers something in his mind that says he needs to hunt. He needs to get food for them. He often goes out to go hunt for anything. Most of the time brings home animals and, if you're okay with that, he would cook them to give to you but if you don't want him to hunt and bring home stuff, tell him that and he'd try to stop it. He might still wrap you up in blankets and stuff though as like a sorta nest type deal. Sorry, you can't stop that.

Feral: It also triggers something in their mind. They see you snacking all the time, and you eat what they make you, and it's really sweet! It means a lot to them, but you're so soft and other people could be so dangerous. What if you don't have enough? They'll always cuddle with you, holding you protectively, and when you fall asleep they go downstairs to check out what they have in the kitchen. If they have enough, they'll relax and calm down but if they think that they don't have enough of everything, they'll leave the house to go hunting for whatever they think that they need in the house. It might be best to lay on top of them so they can't leave the house lol

Sharp: Sharp used to love to cook for people, and seeing you eating the food that he spent so long making and saying that it's good, and how much you like it? It makes him... really happy. He used to be so proud of his cooking skills before they ran out of food, and he couldn't show off anymore. Now, he can! He got a job as a cook, and always brings home the extra for you. It's a little hard to push himself around in the kitchen but he wouldn't change a thing.

Oak: If there is ONE thing that Oak loves, it's someone that eats and has a bit of a tummy. He's even worse than Axe with cooking for his partners. His stuff is heavy but tastes so good that you don't even think before eating. He would lay on the couch with you, rubbing his hand along your tummy and nuzzle into your neck, purring loudly. Being able to feed his sibling and his datemate? It's just... something that makes him so happy. Plus, he knows that they're healthy since they help out around the farm sometimes!

Sunflower: Sunflower is one of the only ones that makes sure that you're not overeating, just because they're worried about that sorta thing. They remembered the first time that they were able to eat after getting out of the underground and they overate and got sick. Don't even get them started on Oak... Once they're sure that you're good? Then they don't mind whatever! They'll often sit with you and hold you while you do your food coma nap, and they always lightly tease you because you're just so adorable and they love you.

Supernova: Because of Supernova being blind, they can't, of course, see anything but they love being able to touch you. They like how soft and warm you feel against his hands. He's been through so much, that the idea of having someone as soft and squishy as you as their datemate? It sounds fake! Yet, they know that it isn't, and that's what makes them so happy. He can't exactly cook for you anymore, and that makes him really sad but he'll often bring home treats and such for you and he hopes that that's enough.

Sunspot: Sunspot doesn't say anything about your eating habits, but you've noticed that they often leave out little treats that they've made for you. They've started to get into desserts, and he's shockingly really good at it! So, the treats are always a lot of fun to get from him. He often hugs you whenever you're getting sleepy and pulls you towards the couch to sit and relax. You have a feeling he plans it for cuddle times but hey, you weren't going to complain! His favorite is the galaxy cake to make.

Snackers: Snackers loves it! He likes the idea of going to random places to try out different food and seeing if it's any good! He really just likes getting any type of food, though... he can't cook -w-' he can sure as hell try but while underground during the shortage he realized that he really cannot cook to save his life, and after a while, he felt okay with it. Sure, it sucked, but... eh. So! You two should just go and try out random food and such and then sleep when home. He wants to lay on top of you.

Butcher: Butcher won't say anything about it. Well... they don't say much anyway. Oh geez that's such a bad joke, I'm sorry. Anyway! They don't say anything about it because they don't want to get you embarrassed or anything, but they really like it. They like seeing you with enough food to be able to get a little chubby, and they often like to rub their hand on your tummy to feel the warmth and the squish. They often will bring you a few snacks if they leave the house just cause food is nice. They're one of the people that I picture liking chubby people the most out.

Ashes: He is one of the many that would love it! But for a few different reasons. In the underground they didn't have food, he had to hurt a lot of people to get food. You have it without having to hurt anyone. You're still his innocent pure datemate! He doesn't have to hurt anyone for you to be able to eat, and that means a lot to him, and he would rather never have to hurt anyone again. His sibling agrees! When he sees you eating, it makes him happy and fills him with this weird air of... calm? So he'll often make sure that you have the food needed and he'll cook you anything you ask for! Even if they don't have the stuff for it, he'll literally go to the store to pick it up if that's what would make you happy. He's a, shockingly, good datemate.

Timber: Whenever you come to his forest, he'll start to make little berries grow or other fruits. He likes to see your reaction when you try something new, your nose crinkles or your eyes light up if you like it. It's something that only happens whenever you're around. His forest can't support life but when you're there? It suddenly becomes so much easier, and he loves the fact that it does. He thinks of you as his sort of good luck charm, even though he knows the fact his forest isn't growing back is his own fault. He shouldn't be angry still, he should learn to forgive but the anger still burns strong, just like the fire that took his forest away. He doesn't think he's in the wrong, so he'll never forgive. If you ever get too tired while in his forest, he'll take you to his secret area and allow you to sleep where he normally does. It makes everything look perfect, seeing you there.

Beloved: It makes him wish that he knew how to cook better than he can. You're always talking about these special snacks or foods that you really like and he wants to be cute and make them for you but then he can't figure it out and he eats the stuff even if it's undercooked or burnt cause he can't just throw it away! That would be a waste... you always praise him though, and it means a lot to him. He loves holding onto you, feeling your plump form in his arms, feeling and sorta stealing your warmth. Everything about that was amazing, and he would rather not change anything about it.

Chum: He really likes how you're chubby and soft. It's, honestly, one of his favorite things about you! He loves to bring you random things that he thinks you'd like. Mostly food and such that he catches... can't exactly, you know, cook it or anything but he's doing his best. He might bring you stuff that's way too big or stuff that you can't eat but he's just trying his best to make sure you're happy and healthy. He loves seeing you in your swimsuits or really anything that shows off a bit of skin... you're adorable to him.

One Piece Minecraft server headcanons

Strawhat minecraft server:

Luffy: Enjoys killing the animals and cooking them. Never sleeps, has phantoms following him wherever he goes (Nami gets mad at him for this when she's online because she wants to sleep through the nights). Constantly missing from their base. Every few days after he goes missing they get a "Luffy fell from a high place" or something similar. The only thing he enjoys more than hunting for food is following treasure maps and looking for temples.

Zoro: Hates having to mine for better swords because he gets lost in the cave system (he dug straight up to get back once and got burned to death by lava). Doesn't bother to learn any crafting recipes, he just has someone make things for him. When they unlock the Nether and the End he rushes in to kill everything (he dies 20 times with Luffy.. they don't know the dragon heals with the towers). Likes destroying Sanji's bed because it resets his spawn point.

Nami: likes making cute house builds but usually she just convinces Usopp to actually build for her. She takes from everyone's chests when she feels like it, but freaks out when they touch her stuff. Built a farm and tends to it regularly with Robin. She wants diamonds but hates mining alone, she only goes if someone else is. Explores with Luffy sometimes so she can expand her map collection and find treasure.

Usopp: Likes tinkering with redstone with Franky. He adjusted the farm and made it self-harvesting. Built most of the original base. Always says "I'll go!" with shaking knees when someone suggests they go mining/exploring at night. When Luffy wanted the whole crew to come and kill the Ender Dragon he and Nami volunteered to "hold the fort" (in the end they brought Usopp to shoot down the towers.)

Sanji: Sad that the options for cooking in minecraft are really limited. He still built a really cool looking kitchen at base. Has an aquarium with axolotl (Luffy brought them because he thought they were edible). Is usually fishing but goes mining when Nami doesn't want to go alone. Moves his minecraft bed next to the girls' every now and then. Gets annoyed when he dies because he never spawns at his bed for some reason.

Chopper: Likes helping Usopp and Franky with their cool builds. Often helping Robin collect materials. He likes making potions and testing them with luffy. When he needs potion materials from the nether, Robin or Zoro are usually there to accompany him and protect him. He also hates when Luffy doesn't sleep at night because the phantoms scare him.

Robin: Loves coming with Luffy to look for temples. She also enjoys finding villages in different biomes. Helped Nami with building her farm. She doesn't like when people come in to kill the animals for food, she just keeps them as pets. She tames a lot of animals and keeps them in her house. Collects flowers and has a flower garden in her house. She works on really tedious and big architectural builds when she can.

Franky: After the original base got struck by lightning and burned Franky helped rebuild it. He made a lot of modifications including a redstone cow meat farm (Robin and Nami had him dismantle it because of animal cruelty), a redstone wood cutter-- a lot of redstone, really. He made an Iron Farm that Zoro really loved because it meant he didn't need to mine for armor. He also made a railway system so that everyone could get around faster.

Brook: Afraid of wolves, they all bite him. Skeletons never shoot at him for some reason. Usually hunts down materials from mobs at night. He and Robin were the ones who got the ender eyes and unlocked the End portal. Started their base in the nether. He learned that you aren’t supposed to sleep there the hard way.

Unfortunately, I seem to have broken the actual FAQ page/the theme won’t accept too long of text, so the FAQ will be a post now :) Find the OOC FAQ here!

Are cats in this world anthro or feral

The cats are feral, but they have thumbs! So they can hold things (Although they have to be sitting down usually)

What’s the level of technology? The “tech” is VERY rudimentary but definitely more advanced than Canon Warriors. For example, here’s some things the cats can do/make! - They can make and use knives (For carving meat, wood, leather, etc…) - They can build dens and tents with wood and animal skins (also plant fibres) - They can boil water/make tea, build ovens and smokers, generally they’re just good at cooking.

How do hybrids work? Kittens aren’t actually born! Instead they are literal gifts from the gods. When prospective parents are looking to have kittens, they’ll go to their god’s shrine to leave sacrifices of prey for a week. At the end of the week, they’ll find newborn kittens that are “hybrids” of the parents! (So yes, a serval and a lion could have kittens)

(Kittens also don’t drink milk, instead they absorb the magic of their parents until they’re 2 months old- afterwards they start eating meat!)

Can characters wear clothes or armor or accessories?

Basic clothing and accessories are allowed, yes! Most cats with gathering jobs (For example, the Rangers who both hunt and forage for plants) wear leather bags on them in their day to day life, and it’s pretty common to wear stuff like animal pelts and plants

Technically, armor isn’t really a thing? However some cats could theoretically wear tough animal leather or wood bark as some level of protection. In universe, intentionally fighting with these would be seen as dishonorable though

Is there a list of the sorts of elements that players are allowed to use as sparks?

While I can't give you definitive rulings on the types of Sparks (Elemental magic that the cats of the Haven can harness) I can definitely give some examples, such as: Creation of/Control over fire, water, electricity, wind, plants, dirt/stone, etc.

Now obviously, these are pretty broad/generic! But we are DEFINITELY encouraging for people to get more specific and unique with their powers. For example, one of the characters, Pyre, can summon and control crystals! Maybe there could be cats who can summon fog, produce smoke, or make ice.

What foods can the colonies make?

The cats have rudimentary ovens and stoves constructed from stone slabs, so they are able to bake and cook simple things such as bread and soup.

Anything that requires farming wouldn’t work out though! Animal products like milk and large scale production of stuff like corn or tomatoes isn’t feasible. Anything that the cats cook has to be gathered.

Are the clans on good or bad terms with each other? Are cross-clan relationships banned?

The colonies are all good with each other! They’re only separated based on which god they follow, and besides some mild hostility over godly opinions, they’re all very chill.

- Cross colony relationships are completely allowed and cats can easily move colonies - Cats are allowed to enter each other’s territories without any hostility. - Crosscolony kittens can pick either colony to live in- or go back and forth!

Basically, there’s no offical rules! The colonies have only been founded VERY recently and while some things could change during the story depending on a colony’s leader, there just aren’t any rules or laws about it, and there probably never will.

Are the cats able to do anything in the afterlife after they die?

The afterlife of Felinan is far less complex than that of Starclan. It is believed that when a cat dies, their spirit is guided out of their body by Psyro (The kitten god of death). They are completely unable to interact with living beings and largely just wander the lands. Eventually after many, many years, their spirit will dissipate, and they will join the rest of the ambient magic of Felinan.

🌠 SHOOTING STAR - if they could make any wish with no repercussions, what wish would they make?

Striga wants nothing more than her old family to be back together and happy. Though not in the way they used to be together! She wants her dad to be alive again. She wants everybody to get along, while also living their best lives... She wants Stryxe and Kazuki to be back together again, living happy lives away from the stress of everything else. She wants Kyuuga to be well, safe and happy and to do the things he enjoys, find his calling and follow it. She wants a happy family for her own home and she wants the occasional family get togethers where everybody talks about how things have been, exchanging pleasantries and unpleasantries alike. Maybe they can even bring over new friends and family while everybody is sharing food and just being happy to see each other again, and afterwards they return to their own lives... What Striga wants is so simple and sweet... yet so impossible to attain at this point...

🔥 FIRE - do they have any self destructive tendencies? what habits do they have that hinder them from becoming their best self?

Striga can get a little one track minded at times. Usually happens when the Rainbowdrinker blood starts boiling, almost like taking over any coherent thought she should be having. It's quite different to how Stryxe experiences it, almost like an all consuming rage, an all consuming hunger, ready to devour whatever comes close enough, ready to jump into any fight no matter how unwinnable. She loses sight of the things that are truly important and sight of self preservation in those moments. Though thankfully she's very aware of this side of hers, so she usually self isolates before it gets that far... usually...

❤️ RED HEART - their love language(s)?

Acts of service, quality time, gift giving, Striga just likes to be gentle and kind with just about anybody. And while he enjoys getting all of those things himself, I think words of affirmation are what touches him most deeply.

🎨 PALETTE - can they draw? what do they like to draw?

Good lord, Striga hasn't drawn since he was a lil kid and the things he used to draw were those cute kid like family drawings with Stryxe, Kazuki, Kyuuga, Noxtus and himself as pretty bad but very heartfelt stick figures. They used to hang on the fridge before Striga started feeling too embarrassed. Stryxe has since put them somewhere safe. If Striga would see them these days, he'd probably start crying...

📏 RULER - is your oc well educated? where did they get their learning from?

I wouldn't say Striga is well educated in a sense of regular school, but she's well versed in many things! She has skills for homesteading, farming, construction, sewing, gardening, cooking and baking, food preservation, hunting, animal husbandry, wiggler care and of course druidic stuff! Most of this she learned from her Pa, Stryxe, though she's since surpassed the old man in skills and knowledge.

🍼 BABY BOTTLE - what are their thoughts on children?

Striga loves kids! He's got an adopted wiggler as of now! Though he'd love to have multiple life partners and maybe his own wigglers at some point? Though he'd also be super happy to foster more wigglers. It's a bit of a long term dream of his to have a big ass family.

🙊 SPEAK-NO-EVIL - what is something your oc will refuse to stay quiet about?

Seeing other people being hurt. Striga just can't help himself! He's a bit of a worrywart sometimes and just wants to heal people up when he sees them being injured, bleeding, etc. He doesn't like forcing others into it, but he just can't stop himself, he just... he wants people to be safe and healthy for the most part.

☀️ SUN - are they a morning person? what is the first thing they do in the morning?

Yep! Striga doesn't mind waking up whenever. She doesn't seem to need all that much sleep to begin with, though first thing she tends to do is check on Revenn, see how he's doing, and then look at the chores for the day.

💤 SLEEPING - do they fall asleep easily? what helps them sleep?

Striga doesn't fall asleep easily when she's not already tired to begin with. So anything that tires her out basically makes her fall asleep more easily.

👁️ EYE - what colour are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical…)?

The color is a pretty piercing shade of a bright almost neon jade while the sclera is almost black. Striga somewhat inherited the eye color from her dad, Kazuki.
