“Touch” - Benny Rodriguez x Male Reader
It’s just past noon, by the time Benny and Y/n had made it back from the sandlot, sweaty and tired. The heat made all the other boys quit much earlier than usual, which Benny grumbled about the whole way home, but Y/n saw from the sweat beading down their foreheads that it was definitely the right choice.
And, of course, he much preferred his spot in Benny’s air conditioned bedroom, sprawled against the dark-haired boys chest than the dusty baseball diamond, where heat loomed over every corner.
Even though body heat radiated off both of their bodies, Y/n’s nose just fit so perfectly nuzzled into the crook of Benny’s collarbone. He didn’t want to move.
“Y/n, I gotta take a leak.” Benny groaned from under his boyfriend’s weight, shifting about. Y/n holds him tighter.
“But I’m so comfortable now-“ he mumbles, voice lost in the hollow of Benny’s throat.
“I know, it’ll just be a second-“ he says, rolling to his side so Y/n falls into the mattress. The latter groans, unsatisfied, but quiets down when Benny brushes his lips over his temples in a quick kiss.
It stayed silent, the whole time Y/n was left alone in the bedroom. Which, meant there was nothing left but wandering thoughts to keep him entertained. The low rumble of a groan from Benny’s chest echoed through Y/n’s mind, and for a second he felt guilty.
He didn’t want his affection to come out as an inconvenience, after all. But Y/n pushes the thought away, burying himself further into the white pillows below him.
“Alright-“ Benny walked into the room once more, but instead of joining his partner on the bed, he tugged him up by his arms. “I want popcorn, you hungry?”
Y/n didn’t have much of a choice, already being pulled out of the room and down towards the kitchen, but either way he would’ve obliged.
That’s how the boys found themselves lounged on the couch, sound echoing from the tv’s small speakers. Benny himself was sprawled around on one end, his face sinking into the bend of his forearm on the arm of the couch.
“Hey, pass me the bowl, will you?”
Benny’s obviously tired voice rang out through the small living room, and Y/n saw only his eye as it poked out above his arm. It took him a moment to register what the brunette had even said, as his face was pressed up against the arm of the couch, his arm muffling his own voice.
Y/n grabbed the light blue bowl off the coffee table, passing it over to his boyfriend. Benny lazily grabbed it, rolling over onto his back before he tossed some of the popcorn into his mouth.
It was a much different position than the one they were in previously, Y/n already having noticed the distance. But he didn’t want to say anything, afraid to come off as “clingy” despite all his boyfriends gestures telling him that it was a welcomed behavior. So he sat still in the middle of the couch.
“Could you get any more of that on your shirt?” Y/n joked, smiling at the numerous kernels falling onto Benny’s chest. The latter smiled, but didn’t fire back.
Y/n’s hand twitched.
Even though the air around him was light, and familiar, he felt the thoughts from before creeping back into his mind, wondering, worrying that his touch made Benny uncomfortable. Was it too much?
For probably 5 minutes or so, since the tv turned on, he wondered if he could reach out and rest his hand on Benny’s knee, rest against his leg- something that if he were to question it aloud, it would sound stupid. Of course he could- it was a regular behavior between them. Hell, it was a regular behavior for most couples.
But something in his mind kept saying no, each time he would wonder.
Normally, there would be no hesitation. He loved nothing more than to simply hold him in his arms. He didn’t have to think about it, it was natural. He loved it. Sitting next to Benny in the privacy of their own room, Y/n’s hand would hold his, perhaps his legs would rest sprawled across his lap. And each time, it felt nice. Not even 20 minutes ago he was clinging to Benny like a touch starved koala.
But whenever he didn’t do it quick enough to beat the second thoughts, the worries that perhaps his touch was unwanted, he did hesitate. He’d hesitate, and it would take multiple minutes at a time to even get his fingers intertwined with Benny’s.
The talking part was easy- always had been. Even then, as they sat sprawled across Benny’s couch, y/n didn’t have to pause and think of what or how he should speak.
It was the touching that was hard. Because he wanted so badly to do it, and he knew he could, but he still held back.
Benny shifted on the couch, halfway through a sentence about their friend Ham, so his feet were resting  on Y/n’s thigh. The movement made the h/c smile, looking down at his boyfriend for a moment, it acted as reassurance. He would never know how Benny thrived from his touch, too worried that it was that desire that Y/n had that would chase him away.
Perhaps it was because out in public, it wasn’t an option. He couldn’t hold Benny’s hand without it seeming “weird”, at most he could put his arm around the brunette’s shoulder and walk side by side. Perhaps,  that invisible barrier carried itself into their privacy as well.
“Sometimes I wonder how he even-“ Benny paused, stretching to put the bowl back onto the coffee table. It clattered against the wood for a moment, before inevitably falling off the side.
Y/n grinned, laughing as his boyfriend groaned and visibly deflated.
“Damn it.” Benny mumbled, rolling off the couch to go get a broom. Y/n rolled his eyes, got up, and followed closely behind.
“My mom’ll kill me-“ Benny complains, walking into the kitchen.
“Well you gotta be more careful,” the h/c teen teased, leaning against the counter. Though Benny didn’t look at him, y/n still caught a glimpse of his smile as he circled the kitchen looking for the broom.
“Y’know, some help would be great.” Benny said, trudging back to the counter. Y/n shrugged his shoulders, elbows pressed into the marble surface. His eyes followed Benny’s figure, watching as it approached closer and closer before finally, the tan boy slumped against Y/n’s chest.
The movement sent a rush through his body, full of warmth. He took it as his cue, wrapping his arms around Benny’s torso and letting his face fall into the crook of his neck.
Finally, the fear was almost melted away. With the push he had been needing, Y/n melts into his boyfriends arms as they lean against the counter together and relax.
A small sigh of content escapes, and though Y/n didn’t notice, Benny smiled. He knew of Y/n’s “clinginess”, and he only hoped it would slip through the facade more often so they would be left with these moments.
“Wanna leave it there for a minute?” Y/n asked. Benny nodded, humming in response.
“Yeah, ‘s fine for now.”

Top 10 Movies (Deleted Scenes):
The five that didn't make it.
1. A League of Their Own (1992)
A fun, wild time for little ol' me. One of the many more adult-oriented movies my parents let me watch simply because they loved it. I think I turned out okay. It makes me want to go to a game so badly and I'm broke.
Tumblr media
2. Coraline (2009)
Scariest kids movie I had ever seen growing up. It's definitely grown on me over the years. Stop motion animation is beautiful, and this movie is terrifyingly so. Love it.
Tumblr media
3. A Knight's Tale (2001)
Didn't watch it 'til I was 19 and on a Heath Ledger hyper-fixation. Similar to Ewan Mcgregor and Brendan Fraser. Did I get very far? Not really, some of his stuff is harder to look for. But I fucking loved this one. *chef's kiss*
Tumblr media
4. The Sandlot (1993)
First off, Benny and Smalls? So gay, so happy for them. (Proud ally moment) Secondly, pure nostalgia. I'm able to rewatch it and question the absurdity and still have a great time watching Mike Vitar run from Beethoven. Baseball happens to be one of two sports I like so, that's a plus.
Tumblr media
5. The Addams Family (1991)
The one that started it all for me. It was probably one of the first spooky (fun) films that I ever watched. And now, I have spooky-themed tattoos (below the elbow!) while I'm attempting to get into acting... Fun. But, a wild time, nonetheless.
Tumblr media
Bonus:
Ella Enchanted (2004)
Possibly the one piece of cinema that influenced my particular taste of comedy. This was, essentially, my introduction to the comedic tone I want to see in my movies/tv. An honorable mention, as I had completely forgotten about it until I listed A Knight's Tale.

Benny Rodriguez x Male Reader- Do It Again
Benny Rodriguez x Reader
Male reader
Fluff, a little angst
Summary/background info: Y/n has had a crush on Benny for a while now. He met them (the sandlot boys) a few years back, and now they go to the sandlot everyday to play baseball together. Eventually y/n caught feelings, but he never said anything because being gay was frowned upon in their town. Until one day when he lets it slip.
A little shitty- this is an older one lol
"Alright, we'll all go back to change and then meet up at the pool, alright?" we all nodded in understanding at the red headed boy, before turning and running off towards our houses.
"Oh man I can't wait to get to the pool, its freaking boiling out here!" whined Squints. I chuckled and nodded. "I know, if we hadn't convinced Benny to let us go I probably would've fainted by now" agreed Ham.
Ham, Squints and I were all neighbors, so we'd stay with each other the longest when walking around. We soon got to our houses, and I saw my older brother sitting on the porch. "see ya guys at the pool" I said, before jogging up to my fence. "you're back early."  Henry greeted, getting up from his spot on the porch.
"We're headed to the pool, got too hot." I said, opening the door and entering the satisfyingly-cold house. "Ah, I see"
I walked through the house before arriving to my room. I quickly put on my swim suit, and grabbed a random towel from the shelf before running out the door.
"Have fun squirt!"
"Quit calling me that!"
****
"Hi..I remember you...oh, sexy..." Ham mumbled, walking in front of a large group of girls sitting besides the pool. He stopped by the edge of the water, and began to "flex" his muscles. "He's never gonna quit is he.." I said in amusement, and Benny chuckled behind me. "here comes the cannonball" Kenny warned, and we all turned just in time to see the large splash scaring away all the girls.
I burst out laughing, joined by the others, and Ham swam up to us after resurfacing. "You sure know how to get em Ham!" Bertram said sarcastically, and Ham just scoffed. "Oh shut it, besides, they have no idea what they're missing..."
"Not much, I can tell you that" Yeah yeah remarked, and Ham splashed him harshly. "Hey!!" This caused a domino affect, and within a minute we all were splashing around like idiots. This however, was short lived as Squints began to float away from the rest of us. Out of curiousity, the rest of us followed and I found myself looking up at the one and only- Wendy Peffercorn.
"aw man..."
"yeah yeah, too cruel...."
"she don't know what shes doing.."
I looked at them weirdly, confused. It was just a girl, I mean sure she was attractive, but they were acting like goons. "Yeah she does, she knows exactly what she's doing.." Benny said from next to me, and I could feel my heart sink a little.
I knew he would never like me back, he probably didn't even like guys.
But it was still disappointing.  I had liked him for at least 2 years- but I never dared say anything. Being gay was pretty frowned upon in my town. No one besides me knew I was into men. And we were gonna keep it that way. If anyone found out it'd be game over.
And don't even get me started on my parents. While they  never directly said anything about it, I could assume from my grandparents they wouldn't be fond about it.
So I kept it to myself. No one had to know. Maybe one day when Im older it will be more accepted, and I could get a boyfriend of my own. But for now I didn't want to risk it.
But it was getting harder and harder- it seems like everyday my crush on Benny just grows. I tried so hard to ignore but it just seemed to be there in the back of my mind, all the time. I was snapped out of my thoughts by Squints. "I can't take it anymore!"  He began to swim away, and I watched him curiously. 'where the hell is he going?'
He got out of the pool, and made his way towards...the diving board?
"Whats wrong with him?" Smalls asked curiously. "Guess after 3 summers of this he finally snapped." shrugged Bertram, but I didn't take my eyes off the diving board. "I dont know, but thats the deep  end and Squints can't swim!!"
yep, there it is. Realization finally started to hit everyone, and we all rushed towards the edge of the pool.
The next few minutes- which felt like hours- were a blur. A mess of yelling, and everyone crowding around the boy and the lifeguard. I watched nervously as Wendy performed CPR on my friend. Around me the other boys were yelling out things to Squints- as if he could hear them. It wasnt until I felt something warm on my hand that I looked away.
I looked down to see Benny grabbing my hand anxiously. A bold blush spread across my face, but I shook my head. 'your  friend is drowning Y/n, save the gay for later'.
Finally, I saw Squints open his eyes. I shot him a confused look, to which he returned with a wink. He closed his eyes again, back to the dead. After a moment he reached up and grabbed the back of Wendy's head, pushing her down and kissing her passionately. All of us stood there shocked, as Wendy broke away and began screaming.
"You little pervert!!"
"Aw man hes in some deep shit!!"
****
"Damn, what a day."
I chuckled, my gaze staying on the sky above me. "I know right." Benny sighed next to me, closing his eyes. We both were laying in the same position, with our hands behind our heads and our backs against the cold roof tile of my house.
We would normally come up here, specifically in the summer. It was like our own little thing.
We laid there in silence for a bit more, not saying much. It was a comfortable silence, but there was something in the back of my mind that just kept bothering me. I sat up, pulling my knees to my chest and hugging them with my arms .
Benny glanced up at me. "You good?" I stayed silent for another minute. "So you really like Wendy, huh?" With this he sat up from his previous position, and looked at me oddly. "What do you mean?" I shrugged. "I dont know, at the pool and everything. The way you talked and looked at her, seems like you like her."
He chuckled. "Eh, I don't know. Not really my type." Confused, I turned to look at him. "Really?"
He shrugged.  "I mean she's attractive, yeah, but that doesn't really mean I like her." He said, looking up at the sky again. I nodded and returned my gaze to the tile of my roof once again. I was curious, and confused. He spoke about her so weirdly at the pool, only to say shes not his type? I hesitated, but eventually built up the courage to ask. "So who do you like?"
He looked away from the sky, and turned to me. Our eyes met and I blushed, and I only hoped he wouldn't be able to see. "Why do you wanna know?" He asked, an amused grin visible on his face. The blush grew on my face as I became flustered, racking my brain for the right words to say. "U-uh, I dont know. you said you dont like Wendy so-"
Benny laughed again. Oh how I loved that laugh. "Calm down man- its fine. And if you really wanna know- I do have a person on my mind." I nodded again. "Who is she?" I asked, and he turned to me. "Bold of you to assume its a she." He said confidently.
I was slightly taken aback by this. I always thought he was straight, and here he was, basically coming out to me. And so confidently too. "what?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "But I thought you liked girls?"
"And I thought Phillips had more then one braincell at one time. I was wrong." I laughed at his comment, and he smiled. "That's fair" I said, my laughing coming to a slow stop. His gaze stayed on me, and I looked at him with one eyebrow raised. "...what?"
He shrugged, smile not fading and eyes never moving. "Nothing." He said, chuckling a bit and looking away
"What do you mean nothing-"
"I mean nothing!"
"Dude you're staring at me, what, do I have something on my face or-"
He cut me off by leaning forward and cupping my face with his hands. I instantly shut up, flustered at the action. He stared at me for a moment, his eyes moving from my eyes, down to my lips, and back to my eyes. I swallowed nervously. "B-Benny?"
He didn't speak, just continued to look at me. "You".
"What?"
"You. That's who I like, not Wendy." I widened my eyes in shock as the words left his mouth. "Wait really?" He also seemed slightly nervous, as he looked away trying to avoid eye contact. It took me a minute to process what he said, millions of thoughts racing through my brain. I finally built up the courage to speak.
"I like you too."
His eyes widened, and he finally looked at me. A smile was evident on his features, even in the dark. "For real?!" I smiled and nodded, my heart swelling in my chest. Without another word, he moved his head forward. Next thing i knew I could feel his lips on mine, and his other hand had made its way onto my face.
Without a second thought I kissed him back meaningly. I had been waiting years to do this, and let me tell you it was even better then I had imagined. After another minute he pulled away, panting slightly. I did the same, smiling like a mad man.
He rested his forehead against mine and we sat there for a minute, enjoying the silence and the moment.
"Man, I've been waiting to do that for 2 years." Benny said, and I chuckled. "I've been waiting to do that for 3 years, and boy am I glad it happened."
He smiled at me, before replying.
"Well then, let's do it again."

hello! i hope you're having a great day! <3 so... i was just wondering, which are your 80-90s hcs for the boys? <333
Hello! So sorry this is late! My schedule has been swamped but it is all good now! I do have some 80s-90s hc's for the boys and here they are:
80s
Ponyboy got a portable color camera and used it to take photos of nature and the gang.
Johnny would apply decorative pins to every shirt and jacket he owned.
Ponyboy is a giant Earth, Wind, and Fire fan and loves to pop a tape into his Sony Sports Walkman and roller skate to the funky music.
Ponyboys halloween costumes were those vinyl masks and trash bag-like shirts (Pink Panther and other characters).
Steve wouldn’t shut up about the first moonwalk for many weeks after it premiered at Motown 25.
Darry and Dallas were giant Prince fans (bought 1999 record at launch).
The gang saved up enough money to go to a Michael Jackson concert in Kansas City on February 23, 1988 and loved it.
Ponyboy was a big advocate for the “We Are The World” foundation and bought the 45 for it along with getting a “USA For Africa” shirt.
Steve jokingly subscribed Sodapop to all those cheesy teen magazine services (16, Tiger Beat, Teen Machine, etc.) and Soda thought it was strange that he would get those magazines that promised “HOTTEST BOYS OF THE 80’S! 6 COLOR PIN-UP’S!”
Darry really liked the “Rocky” movies.
Dallas really liked the album "Bad" and the music video for it.
Once, Ponyboy accidentally put copious amounts of Razzle candies on Darry’s tab.
Johnny unironically used “grody”.
Ponyboy and Steve stayed up to watch the premiere of “Beat It” on MTV in March ‘83.
Johnny used Garfield The Cat and Odie The Dog stationary.
The gang was really into the He-Man cartoon and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Ponyboy would rush to record songs off the radio with his cassette recorder.
90s
When crystal Pepsi was announced, Soda’s nickname for the whole year of 1992 was “Crystal Pepsi” and he was obsessed with both the name and drink.
The boys became fascinated with BMX biking and tried making their own at the junkyard with scrap metal (Steve broke an arm going down a trash pile).
Two-Bit would like the cartoons “Ducktales” and “Darkwing Duck”.
Two-Bit somehow redirected the schools satellite after throwing rocks at it and, instead of the Tulsa weather channel, all the televisions started playing the live OJ chase in 1994 (Two got suspended for 2 weeks).
Dallas was really into timberland boots and Biggie Smalls.
Dallas also got a single diamond piercing in his earlobe (Curly did it for him with a needle and ice cube) and this inflated his ego to the max.
The gang's favorite movie to watch was “The Sandlot”.
Ponyboy, Soda, and Johnny were Sega nerds.
Johnny started to watch “The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air” and dressed like Will (denim overalls with multi-colored and baggy striped shirts).
Steve would try to fight someone if they tried to diss the remixes on Michael Jackson’s “Blood On The Dance Floor” album.
Soda and Ponyboy were total Pokemon nerds when the show started and got the first movie on tape the day it was released.
Dallas would have his video cassette tapes stacked up in his living room simply because it felt “practical” to him to have them all in one place (Johnny pleaded with him to put them in a cardboard box or something of the sorts).
Johnny was the first one in the gang to buy a CD as they all could only afford audio cassette tapes (Motown Greatest Hits CD.)
Dallas started a secret business with Tim of ripping CDs and making cheap copies to sell.
Ponyboy's favorite snack were Dunka-roos (chocolate flavored).
When their local arcade got a Nintendo 64, they all went and played it for hours for several days a week.
Darry would keep a neatly organized bin in the living room of all his recorded tapes of various movies and talk shows (with Steve's copy of the 1993 Oprah interview with Michael Jackson).
Ponyboy and Two-Bit chatted in AOL chat rooms (Two-Bit usually got them kicked.)
Two-Bit refused to pay for music once Napster came onto the scene.
Ponyboy would get frosted tips like Joey Fatone and be made fun of until his hair grew out.
Steve would wear hammer pants and wouldn’t take any lip from anyone about it.

Hulu New Releases: April 2021
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
While the first day of spring technically belongs to March, everyone knows that it kicks into high gear in April. To celebrate the changing of the seasons, Hulu is finally bringing back its signature original series for April 2021.
Season 4 of the multiple Emmy award-winning The Handmaid’s Tale premieres on April 28. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen June and her dystopian world. In fact, it’s been so long that our own world decided to endure its own dystopian pandemic in the meantime. Hopefully this series’ return will mean we can keep our political and social collapses on television where they belong.
Aside from The Handmaid’s Tale, Hulu isn’t brining much else to the table in terms of originals this month. Thankfully, the one other original that Hulu has in store for April sounds completely righteous. Sasquatch, the latest docuseries from the Duplass brothers producing team, will cover exactly what the title promises. This three-part series heads off to the Pacific Northwest for a tale about an elicit pot farm and the possibility that three men were viciously murdered by Big Foot on it. Sign us up!
Library titles for Hulu in April 2021 are also pretty thin. But April 1 does feature the arrival Mad Max (1980) and Die Hard (1988). Then April 28 sees the arrival of…well, Arrival (2016). Those aren’t bad streaming options in case the weather in April decides to not be spring-like.
