saw a deal on stickers and this was the only design i managed to do but its fine because i realised the deal i saw was still more expensive than another site so im using the cheaper manufacturer. still good quality anyway.

i’m getting them in holographic because i think it’d look cool. ive already got sample so im going to see how they turn out. anyway i was going to go with just the silvery iridecent and the red but decided to see how green looks. the last image is my attempt at making a mockup of a holographic version

anyway my reason for this design is that im a sucker for a cool eye motif!! fucking love them. i have a jacket thats just full of eyes, mostly patches, but its kind of hard to get eye patches because when you search that you get eye patches (the face wearing kind) and not eye patches (iron/sew on patches that are of eyes)

BIG OL WARNING OF SPOILERS FOR BOTH TMA AND TMAGP. THIS IS JUST A RAMBLING OF THOUGHTS I HAVE ON BOTH SERIES.

i remember seeing a post saying how all the entries in the magnus protocol feel like the priest from the 2 parter episodes in season one of tma,and after this weeks episode, yeah i definitely see it.

this go around feels so much more visceral, like the season 5 episodes, except not as abstract if that makes sense. like i feel like the horrors were a-step away from people. like yes the horrors were still happening but in a thematic way and through a conduit of some sort. like the leigtner books or the avatars or the nature of the fear entity. like it felt like a distinct separation from reality and the supernatural, even though they were throughly mixed.

however with Protocol, the supernatural feels more incorporated. like TMA felt like a water and oil suspension and tmagp feels like an emulsion. like milk. that change from reality and the supernatural is no longer a distinct line, but a gradual transition.

the supernatrual feels crueler this go around, with the amount of things happening to peoples bodies, ie the dudes eyeballs in the violin episode, red canary's eyes in the first episode, needles victim also having their eyes targeted, and now episode eight having the victim being bitten into and parts of him consumed(his finger). Sure TMA is no stranger to body horror and pretty horrible things happening to peoples bodies, but i feel like the extreme severity of body horror( ie the choir of the Stranger) and other horror in genral made it not as jarring to hear, since it was so outlandish that it didnt really feel like it could happen in person.

which brings me back to the priest. what made his statement so memorable, apart from the fact thats its the only 2 parter episode( if i remember right), was how multiple entities were involved and how mixed and emulsified they felt and how jarring it was to hear. Like that , and the episode where a Achilles tendon is cut with a bolt cutter, brought the body horror into real life. i could see it happeing to myself or somebody else. Which is also how i feel with TMAGP. it can be imagined more easily so it makes it more jarring to hear.

up until season 5, the fears had felt more separate and the change between reality and supernatural felt distinct. However, you could argue that even in season 5 there was separation between the fears and reality, even though the fears had become the new reality as can been seen by how there were distinct sections for specific fears.

But now, everything is emulsified, and the separation is gone. Body parts are being chomped, and gnawed, and popped. and i dont know how to feel about it. i like it to an extant but in hoping it doesnt become to much like a Saw film. i dont think the series will, given the episode of the guy in the garden or the voyeur movie goer, but it certainly has up-ticked in body related horror. Still, I cant wait to see how it all unfolds.

Lucifer Can't Catch A Break

brain was doing a thing it reminded me that it needed stimulation to do anything bc of the tism so i thought "what if lucifer is like that too omg twinning!!" honestly i just wanted an excuse to write abt him

This man is busybusyBUSY 24/7 365 and barely has enough time to eat or sleep. He definitely doesn't have enough time to take a real break (and he acts like he doesn't want or need it) so that means he doesn't have time for silly stuff like watching shows or reading, right?

WRONG.

No being mortal or immortal can get through that much paperwork without having some background entertainment. There's no way you expect him to get through that with nothing in his ears, right?? He spends all of his time doing work and I know for a fact that he does his tasks while a trashy drama or a podcast is playing in the background. At first his brain spaces out and he accidentally messes up a few forms by writing down what he hears but he adapts quickly and can ease the pain of paperwork with as much daytime television he wants. Keeping up with the Kardashians? He's binged a few seasons while pulling back to back allnighters. He's tired and can't find it in him to finish a particularly daunting pile of forms? 90 day fiance gets him awake and motivated so he can finish everything so he can get to the human realm to collect a few souls. He's watched every Ghibli movie in existence and one time Barbatos found him nodding off at his desk with a Barbie movie playing on his phone. Diavolo founds out about this (bc of course he does) and offers to give Lucifer more time off to relax and enjoy his shows. When he refuses Diavolo just gifts him a pair of noise cancelling headphones.

Sometimes when he's working his brothers will peek over his shoulder to see what he's watching and there's now a daily bingo card in the House of Lamentation for what movie genre he's watching.

One time Mammon saw him staring at his screen, paperwork forgotten as he devours a new episode of Ruri-chan.

Mammon: WHAAA-- This is definitely blackmail material. Oi, pay me 1M grimm or else I'm telling everyone.

Lucifer: You can tell them.

Mammon: What?! Why?

Lucifer: Because no one will ever believe you.

I am really happy that I was able to draw Gerry for this one! Due to life stuff, I made this one simpler than I wanted to, but I still like it. For the Archives, I've always headcanoned that they had stacks upon stacks of file cabinets, so that's the background. For artifact, I decided to use a Leitner. I know that they are not technically artifacts, but 'Dig' was found like an artifact, and I didn't want to draw all the details on the homophobic vase, so... we have 'Dig!'

(I'll draw the homophobic vase sometime soon, guys)

I kept Gerry's evil eye necklace from his TMAGP design in here, too, to connect the designs more (:
