First Interrogation ; The Words That Hurt The Most
<< @wardenes-official >>
————————————————————————
I let my eyes follow and trace Es’s movements and steps, all the while glaring at them and acting as if my eyes could cut holes into their skin. I didn’t know how to feel, truly. I felt panicked by the mere mention of murder for whatever reason, even if I assumed myself as innocent. Of course I would be. There’s no reason for me to kill someone, so why would I ever bother doing so? Those who I want dead will feel the wrath of karma soon, I had assumed, and controlled my thoughts based off of that fantasy alone.
As they spoke, I sighed quietly and tapped my foot. My empty expression and even emptier eyes didn’t seem to do much in particular, and even when they proposed an idea so ludicrous as a “song extraction” my eyebrow didn’t even budge, nor did my eye twitch. This child really was playing games, I thought. Whoever employed this kid was…interesting, to say the least. What sort of organization would do this? I would doubt the government itself would fund this to seek out personal justice for whatever reason, so whatever company backing this had to have pockets full of money and connections far wider than Japan. It seemed unimaginable, fake, and ridiculous—like I was put onto some sort of television reality TV show made to psyche me out. So, with that thought in mind, I shut my eyes momentarily to regain composure.
When I opened them, I stopped glaring. Not as much as a standoffish expression as before, but it surely was a far cry from the cold one I had previously. My emotions were bouncing everywhere, I realized, and I had to seem somewhat consistent all things considered; emotions, thoughts and expressions all kept under wraps. I couldn’t freak out for a multitude of reasons.
—————
“Song extraction. You’re kidding.”
I sighed loudly, furrowing my eyebrows with a suspicious and somewhat scowling expression on my face. I didn’t come here to play games, I thought, and I huffed in annoyance before taking a deep breath. No more outbursts, I reminded myself.
Maybe I had to play along. For now, anyways. This TV show nonsense…I had to keep a good impression on, lest my family find out I acted borderline insane towards a person much shorter and younger than me.
—————
“Different murderers, you say? What’s the variation of the crimes…? Do you know?”
A fair question, I suppose. If I was with other people, then the least I could do was learn about their crimes and avoid the serious offenders. Get to know the other “cast”, if anything. I had already heard yelling in my sleep from a multitude of voices—a loud, brash voice screaming and throwing something, as well as a meek voice mimicking crocodile tears—so I was sure I’d have quite a colorful bunch of people I’d be working with.
If our crimes were over a single word, “murder”, then it would be sure to vary. I’d expect a serious offender, perhaps some sort of vigilante, or maybe a cyberbully of some sort. Those were quite common nowadays since the internet. Of course, I shouldn’t assume too much about the prison warden or the others. Stick to the goal of getting out, or something. If that idea failed, I’d just plan to learn more and more about those here.
—————
“Sure, maybe this is different from other prisons, but every positive thing has a twist, intentionally or not. I wouldn’t be so surprised that, if I wasn’t forgiven by some standard, my freedoms would be restricted. Do you agree, Es-kun?”

Character Intro: Apate (Kingdom of Ichor)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lady Masquerade by the people of Olympius
Miss Fraud by Zeus
Age- 29 (immortal)
Location- Crete, Olympius
Personality- She's the best when it comes to deception and manipulation. Apate senses the weaknesses in others, playing it to her advantage. She's incredibly intelligent and cunning, with an exceptional business sense, but can be very antisocial and standoffish at times. She's single.
As the goddess of fraud and deception, she has the standard abilities of a goddess. Apate's greatest skill is being a finely tuned shapeshifter. She's able to take on the form of anybody- this includes their speech patterns, mannerisms, and quirks, to the point of being very convincing and believable. For this reason alone, Zeus considers her a major threat. Apate is also proficient at lying. Even deities who have the ability to sense the truth (like Dike, Themis, & Apollo) have had a hard time sensing when she lies. She also has the ability of umbrakinesis.
She lives in a sprawling mansion in Crete and also owns a penthouse apartment in the Mania neighborhood of New Olympus. Apate also descreetly rents a small unassuming apartment in the Underworld. Both her mansion & penthouse are decorated with sculptural chrome pieces, leather furniture, and painted with bold colors like red, black, purple, & gold. She gets around in her custom designed black and gold truck- complete with Imperial Gold spinners on the wheels!
Because of reasons unknown, Apate has been somewhat estranged from her family for a few hundred years. She left when Keres (goddess of violent death), Arae (goddess of curses & hexes), Charon (Ferryman of the Underworld), and Nemesis (goddess of retribution) were still quite young & she hasn't even properly met Hemera (goddess of the day), Achlys (goddess of the death mist, poison, misery, & sadness) Aether (god of the upper atmosphere, celestial bodies, & heavenly light) Hypnos (god of sleep), or Thanatos (god of death). She keeps in touch with her parents Nyx and Erebus, through email once a month. She's still sort of in touch with her favorite aunt, Empusa (goddess of shapeshifting). They call & text sometimes.
She still has unresolved romantic feelings for Dolos (god of deception & trickery). Apate used to work for his company where things became tense when she made her true feelings for him known. Dolos only liked her platonically & she was crushed when he married Elpis (goddess of hope). Apate has been harboring resentment towards them both ever since. Despite hating her parents, she's a bit friendly with their daughter Pheme- being a huge fan of her Diamond Ave. jeweled clutches & even having her own collection of them at her penthouse.
Apate is "friendly" with Neféloma (goddess of space & dark matter), Aplistos (god of avarice), Orthosia (goddess of wealth), Dione, Adikia (goddess of injustice & wrongdoing), Psionikós (god of the mind), Aisa (goddess of lot & fate), Narcissus (a famous mortal male model), Dyssebeia (goddess of impeity & ungodliness), Adephagia (goddess of gluttony), and Lyssa (goddess of rage & frenzy). She's not friends with anyone else in the pantheon, particularly Aphrodite (goddess of love & beauty). She once went to her for help to make Dolos fall in love with her. Aphrodite said it wouldn't work due to the fact that he became "hope-lessly whipped." She is however real good friends with the gorgon sisters, Stheno & Euryale.
Apate finally came into contact with her younger sisters Keres and Arae at the Blooddancer premier at the Athens Film Festival. It was a bit awkward, but they were geniunely happy & relieved to see one another.
She has ventured into the shady part of business on her own, making money her own way. She runs a huge counterfeit business, selling counterfeit/phony versions of well known brands and products- like Pheme's Diamond Ave. shoes for example. Instead of the real diamond encrusted soles, the soles are covered in lusterless rhinestones super-glued to the soles. The factory is located in the Underworld, the outside looking like an unassuming pawn shop. Apate is also working with iCHOR Tech, developing a highly addictive game app. She's also a DJ, her stage name being Lady Rogue. She earns up to half a million drachmas per gig! Personally, Apate has been thinking about with coming out with her own signature parfum, one that's black in color!
She has her own glamour doll collectible!
Apate has been a frequent attendee to the Olympian Gala. She very much felt in her element during the masquerade theme a few years ago, making the top spot for best dressed that night! Her Venetian style masquerade mask was made out of Imperial Gold!
Her go-to drink is a liquid gold cocktail- a drink made with pineapple juice, rum, cloves, and cinnamon. She also likes champagne, rum, mulled wine, cosmopolitans, mimosas, bloody marys, manhattans, pomegranate margaritas, & martinis.
A nasty habit she has that she's trying to break is cigarette smoking. She also dabbles in weed and lotus tiles. She finds the Plutopack cigarettes "addicting."
Her fav. sweet treats include champagne flavored gummy bears from The Luxe (a lb costs about 100 drachmas) and the coconut tequila ice cream (added with don julio blanco) from Cocktails on Ice.
There's only a few things in her cooking repertoire, her favorite meal to make being hoisin glazed pork chops and a sausage, potato, and kale salad drizzled with tzatziki sauce and balsamic vinegar dressing. She also likes the "le luxe" hot dog- a bratwurst topped with waygu beef, foie gras, shaved black truffles, & beluga caviar and dusted with edible gold and drizzled in spicy chipotle chili aoli (also from The Luxe).
She's a fan of wearing body chain jewelry!
Her down time activities are of the nocturnal variety- clubbing & bar hopping. She also loves traveling whenever the mood strikes her. Apate can play any poker game known to man, her favorite being texas hold' em! She earns extra income by hosting the Grand Series of Poker- the largest poker tournament in the country! Over 20,000 players won prize money totaling to 200 million drachmas, with 29 players who made a million or more. She also loves skiing, cloud surfing, working out, shopping, volcano boarding, and dining out.
She loves the atelier fantaisie thigh high stiletto boots! Apate recently bought the croc-skinprint gold calfskin boots, a pricier one from the brand, costing 1,500 drachmas.
An awesome splurge for her was the most expensive Megaleio handbag!
Apate’s favorite nail polish colors to wear is Olmorfia’s “Billion Dollar Drachma”, a chrome gold color & "Black Caviar", a glossy black.
As for her love life, she keeps things casual with an occasional hookup. She has five different dating apps on her smartphone!
Apate recently bought the most expensive bra! The bra was a La Petit Amour/Diamond Ave. crossover for NOFW (New Olympus Fashion Week). The bra & belt is 18 karat gold and features over 4,200 precious gems, including diamonds, rubies and yellow sapphires and also features a 52 carat pear-shaped ruby in the center. The whopping price- 10.5 million drachmas! She hasn't worn it yet (aside from a photo post on Fatestgram) and keeps it in a safe.
She's also really fond of her pair of rose gold teeth grillz that's encrusted with miniature white diamonds. She rarely wears them.
"Most people prefer a sweet tasting lie than the bitter truth."

I'll Break Your Promise
"Did you hear about what happened?" Diana exclaimed as she came down the steps of the Pheme Inn, tying her blonde hair into a ponytail quickly.
The Peheme Inn was Melanie’s Inn. In the war against Victor it was a safe space for injured soldiers to get treated and for families to stay. Now it was Talyn and Iris’s home. Who were the daughters of Melanie and Diana. Adopted.
Down there, Talyn, Iris and Melanie sat at the table. Melanie glanced up and raised a brow at Diana's stressed and angry expression, setting down Diana's plate of toast with jam for her. "No... What?"
"Three of the thieves escaped last night," Diana huffed as she sat down. She picked up the toast and bit in with a loud crunch, then kept talking. "Three! Apparently, some of their buddies came and bailed them out last night.”
Talyn and Iris shared a tiny glance but kept eating silently.
Talyn resisted the urge to smile- It was satisfying to see this reaction from Diana. She was her mother, adopted mother, of course...But things had changed. Talyn grew up and wasn't so blind anymore. She could see the suffering in their world, suffering kept behind a thin veil that Diana and others like her refused to uncover. They thought that because they had killed Victor, an awful king against non-humans because of their 'impurity', was dead that all issues were fixed.
This wasn't some sort of fairytale; one King dying doesn't magically fix every issue.
"Seriously?" Talyn said to Diana, feigning surprise and anger. She lied so easily, so smoothly. She had learned to lie for a while now. "How? That’s horrible!”
"Damn guards let them go." Diana grumbled irritably. "Someone's getting kicked. And I'll have to tighten up the guarding. We can't have this happening ever again."
It was the first time Talyn and the team had gotten this much attention.
"The thieves also stole the merchant's horses. You know the merchant, Gerald? Three of his horses were gone this morning. I got a letter and he's pissed off."
Good, Talyn thought.
Melanie patted Diana's shoulder and sighed softly, before offering a tiny smile. "Well... They're long gone now, honey. You can only try and prevent it from happening again."
Diana huffed and shrugged her shoulders.
Iris spoke up next after she took a sip from her water. "And how are things with Eira and Lilura? I hear something brewing between them?"
Eira was the kingdom up North, allied with the Ascian forest, Where the werewolves and shapeshifters lived. Lilura was a mysterious kingdom. But allied with Veles, underground city of vampires and witches. Ascian and Veles had their differences, but Eira and Lilura were never so tense that people actually talked about it. It made Talyn feel uneasy.
"Nothing serious," Diana replied as Melanie rubbed Diana's shoulder. "We don't know what's got their hair in a bunch, but we won't intervene. I'm sure it'll sort itself out." She looked over to the window then. The sky was starting to shift into blue.
"Ah... People will be waking up soon. We better get moving-" Melanie moved away to begin preparing for the morning rush.
Talyn crunched the last bit of her toast.
"I'm going to the library today," Iris said. Talyn glanced at her as she picked up the finished plates. Iris's mouth twitched. She was lying. "Is that alright?"
Talyn knew exactly where she was going- To visit her lover, Icarus. Diana didn't like Icarus, and honestly? Neither did Talyn. He always got in the way of their plans. And he was always hanging around Iris like a pest.
"Of course!" Melanie smiled and nodded. "Talyn and I can hold up the Inn just fine, right?"
"Right," Talyn mumbled. Iris smiled apologetically. Talyn just looked away from her.
"I just don't know if I have the strength to hold her back when she picks a fight with one of the guys," Melanie joked. Talyn was known for wanting to argue about why bow and arrows were superior to a broadsword, challenging many guards and men that came into the Inn showing off their blades and flexing.
"Eh, she'll be fine. One day she'll get her teeth knocked in and she'll learn to keep her cool." Iris turned and grabbed her satchel, swinging it over her shoulder.
"If someone kicks me in the teeth I'll hit them where it actually counts and-”
"Bye, hon!" Melanie cut off Talyn and waved after Iris.
-------
The two lovers soon reached the meadow from their walk, soft green blades blowing softly in the wind as butterflies twirled around the flowers. There were few butterflies, orange colored ones- A clear sign of fall was on its journey.
Icarus turned and plopped down in the grass, dragging Iris down with him. He wrapped his arms around her as she leaned her back against his chest, smiling.
This is way better than scraping off food from the dishes, she thought. She felt a small twinge of guilt for not being there to help Talyn but ignored it. She would've stayed but...Icarus wanted her here.
"So, what'd you take me here for?" Iris asked.
"I have a gift for you." She heard him rustle around in the pockets of his trousers, before his freckled hands brought out a shiny object in front of her. A ring. "Here."
Iris carefully plucked the ring out from his fingers with surprise clear on her face. Her thought process momentarily stopped as she observed the ring closely, smiling wide.
It was silver, decorated with red gems.
She slipped it on- Feeling her cheeks flush as red as the ring. "Oh my... I love it!" The ring was big for her, but not wanting to upset Icarus- she said nothing and grinned gratefully. "Thank you, truly."
"It's a promise ring, to be specific. I promise that you'll never get rid of me." His arms wrapped around her tighter, and Iris leaned into his embrace trustingly and giggled.
"I like that promise," she murmured. She tilted her head up and kissed his chin gently.
"But trust me. I'd never try to get rid of you."
She could see the corner of his mouth turn into a playful smirk. "You better not."
----
That night, Talyn excused herself from her chores and gathered her stuff to go train at The Fort.
The Fort was a mountain- A special one. On the outside it looked like a mountain, but on the inside, it was a massive room, carved out from rock. There were many tunnels
Talyn and her friends would often go there to train with their weapons. They had to do so in secret because their guardians didn't want them to grow up with 'violence' as they once had. But not one of them wanted to live a humble life like the adults wanted them to. None of them wanted to sit still.
Talyn ran down the trail she had memorized long ago, using a lantern to light up her way. The sun was sinking beneath the horizon, lighting the clouds up in an orange flame as night came to extinguish it.
She came forward at the Fort, pushing aside the vines that hid the entrance, slipping inside. Here, it felt like home. The walls and ceiling were tall, the floor smooth with little cracks. There were boulders around, and to a wall hung their personal weapons they used. Swords, bows, quivers full of arrows, small daggers that Talyn stole, short blades. And Iris’s weapon, which was not like a normal one. Before she trained with a sword but the first gift from her boyfriend had been a whip, a whip with jagged pieces of sharp blades. Iris had taken a liking to it immediately. No one could wield it like her.
Talyn waited for everyone else to show up, stretching out her arms. Clint and Will came in soon enough.
"Careful," Will said to Talyn as he began to stretch as well, smiling playfully. "Clint's extra moody today. He didn't get his beauty sleep."
"And apparently neither did you because you're still ugly as all of hell," Clint snapped back. Will smiled at him and Clint rolled his eyes.
Talyn shook her head, now tightening the laces to her boots. “You are moody.”
“Watch it.” Clint huffed.
"Ah, well. That just means he's easier to beat when we spar today." She smirked. Never had she ever lost to Clint in a sparring match. Never.
"Today I'll get you."
"Sure thing. Keep tellin' yourself that. It's nice to see people with hope."
Clint huffed sat down on a rock, doing the laces on his own boots as well. Will stretched his back out with multiple pops and an ugly groan, before he looked around and asked, "Iris hasn’t arrived here yet?"
"Nope." Talyn pulled the laces a little tighter then. "She went out with her new boyfriend, Icahbod."
"Isn't it Icarus?"
Talyn grunted.
Clint looked up after a moment, pulling his arms over his head. "What did Diana say about last night, though?”
"Ah, she was pissed today." Talyn looked up then. "It was great. But- She is tightening up security. Bad news for us.”
"And that just means giving them more flashy swords and less rules for them to follow," Clint grumbled.
Talyn, as well as the rest, shared his frustration. The guards got away with everything and never spent a single night in a jail cell. She didn't want to imagine what they got away with when they were inside with the prisoners…
The vines rustled then, and Iris stepped through. "Hey!" She greeted, grinning widely. It was odd. She looked glowing.
Talyn stood up and smiled. "Hey, Iris!" Right after Iris stepped through, a red-haired boy followed. Ichabod. "And... Iris's friend."
"Boyfriend, actually," The boy corrected with a wink, throwing a casual arm around Iris's shoulders. "Iris said I could come watch you guys, she told me all about the training you do."
The three others shared a look. No one else knew about their training. Iris gave them a slight tilt of the head and an arched eyebrow, practically scolding them to be nice without any words. Diana had the same look.
She then looked at Icarus and smiled. "Do you want to spar with us?"
"No, no. " He shook his head and waved his hand in dismissal politely. "I'll just watch. I don't want to interfere with any plans you have." He moved away and sat down on a rock. "It's nice to meet you all, finally."
"Nice to meet you too!" Will said. Talyn and Clint grumbled in reply before Iris went over and discreetly pinched both their arms, in which they mumbled a more acceptable response.
Talyn felt... betrayed, in a sense. She let someone who they didn’t even know into a place so important to them? Why? Just because they stuck their tongues down each other's throats and called it love?
Talyn and Iris went to the wall where their weapons were, while Will struck up a conversation with Icarus. He always did that. Will would constantly talk to everyone he could. He was a summer boy, a warm radius all around him all the time. People always took a liking to him. Talyn took her bow off the wall, running her hand down it. Iris came over and stood next to her. Talyn looked at her and sighed."Why'd you let him in?" She muttered. "Why didn't you ask us first?"
Iris took her own whip off the wall. "I thought it would be okay." At Talyn's scowl she added, "Do you really think I'd let someone who I didn't trust completely to come here? No. And besides, he's just watching."
"What if you break up and he gets mad? And he snitches on us?"
"C'mon Talyn. He wouldn't do that. And besides, he gave me a promise ring today." She smiled reassuringly, but the smile didn't do its job.
What the hell did a promise ring have to do with this? It only made Talyn frown, but Iris turned away anyway. "Alright c'mon! We'll start off simple today."
And so, they began- and Icarus just sat and watched. Observing.
-----
After training, windy whispers ruffled Clint's hair, blowing back the strands from his face as he and Will walked home. It was a long walk, especially when they took their time. The two always walked together, as Clint had been living with Will for a little less than a year now. They were walking through the town, tall buildings above them and clustered together.
"I want to join the Front," Clint blurted suddenly, breaking the quiet. He glanced sideways at Will, who had raised an eyebrow.
"The Front? Really?"
The Front was their army. No one knew much about them besides the fact they were heroes, born from some of the most valiant and brave soldiers that fought in the war against the Blood King, trained to be as tough as stone. " I want to be like them." He faced back forwards, his expression blank. "I want to do something good. Something that they do."
"But not all that they do is good, Clint. We hardly know anything about them-"
"What do you mean? They're heroes-"
"They're puppets."
Clint paused, right in an alleyway. The whispers of the wind turned into gentle murmurs. "Puppets?"
"I mean- They're just here for decoration. They hardly ever have to fight and everyone's too scared to ever provoke them. They only do things when someone tells them to. They're just to keep us behaved and good." He sighed and paused as well, turning to face Clint. "And their general, Pierce, looks absolutely out of his mind.."
"He's not out of his mind!" Clint scoffed, as if he himself had been offended. Part of him was. "He fought against the Blood King; he was second to Diana!"
Diana, their friends' mother, was the one to lead the rebellion against the blood king and was now heavily respected and feared. And now the one in charge of The Capitol. Really, she was a dictator. No one dared to say it out loud. After all, no one could repay her for what she did. She saved their world.
"And he's not the same, and neither is Diana. It's clea- Hey, what're yo-"
Clint had started walking forward, pausing to give Will a signal to shut his mouth. Will did so, and Clint turned around, pausing to watch what was going on around the corner. Usually, it was Will to be distracted so easily. With Will falling into silence voices could be heard.
Clint's eyes narrowed. Two guards were talking to a man, their heads tilted. He felt Will's breath on his neck, side-glancing him. His brown eyes were narrowed as well, watching the scene.
Clint turned his attention back towards the guards and listened.
"What're you doing out here, hm?" One of the guards asked, standing in front of the man. The other was behind the man, and he gulped before answering.
"I had to get some herbs for my kids, they're not doing so well..." His voice shook slightly.
"Oh?" The guard raised an eyebrow and moved in the way when the man tried to keep walking. "Well, you can't be out. There's a curfew now."
Curfew?
"There is? I haven't heard anything of it." The man looked as confused as Clint felt. There was no curfew.
"That's right," said the guard behind the man. "We're going to have to take you in for the night. As well as take this." He suddenly snatched the bag the man was carrying.
The man stared at him. He didn't even look angry or upset, more scared than anything.
"Please, sir. I need to go home and get this for my kids. I'll be sure to-"
The other guard just grabbed the man's arm and started walking. "Come on, now.”
"Please, I-"
The one behind him then just shoved him down. Clint felt himself going forward, but a hand on his arm stopped him. He glanced to Will again, who just shook his head and raised a finger to his lips. Will semeed to talk with his eyes. You have no armor. No sword.
Clint pursed his lips and turned to watch again.
"You can't resist arrest," barked the guard. The old man struggled to get up, assisted roughly by a hand yanking him up the collar of his shirt. They were heading to where Will and Clint were now, and Will turned, still holding onto Clint's arm and started walking away quickly, their footsteps hardly audible.
Clint followed, and with each step he placed walking away, his nails dug tighter into his fists.
Will led Clint to his house in silence, and only then he let go and paused, turning to him. "We need to tell Iris."
------
Fire crackling and the smell of warm food wavering through the air, the four sat at the table in the Inn and talked lowly under their breaths, disguised under other conversations of the best whiskey or the best swordsman in the latest tournament.
Clint and Will had just finished explaining what they had seen the night walking home, masked under the other conversations going on.
Iris's face was blank, her eyebrows arched. Talyn, on the other hand, wore her anger clear on her face and didn't even bother to hide it.
"Why didn't you guys intervene?" Talyn hissed when they had finished, leaning forward to the two of them. "You could have taken them!"
"We would've gotten caught; they'd have seen our faces-" Will started. Clint felt a pang of guilt, feeling his fingers twitch under the table.
"So, then you kill them!"
"Talyn," Iris said sharply, her eyes narrowing more. "We don't kill people."
"Why not? They do it all the time-"
"Because we will not stoop as low as them." Iris snapped again, her voice firm. “How stupid are you?”
Talyn stared, and Iris stared back before she sat back and crossed her arms with a huff. Talyn looked away from her again, clearly hurt. Clint knew she hated when people called her stupid.
"The most we can do now," Iris continued, "is to try and get them back and free them." She sighed and rubbed her face slightly, looking grim.
Clint couldn't help but feel guilt for not intervening. He looked over to see Will's soft expression. Despite the blankness, he knew he was feeling the same way.
"How are we going to do that?" Clint muttered after a small silence; his eyes narrowed.
"The guards aren't going to be as lenient. They had them out patrolling where Will lives. No guard ever comes around there.”
Iris pursed her lips. "I'll come up with something. We have some other people we need to let loose anyways..." Her voice faded as her brow furrowed, thinking. "'Course, we can't do it all at once, last time was way too close...” She was thinking aloud, rubbing her forehead.
"I can go." Talyn piped up.
"No, you'll end up killing someone."
"I will not. Come on...I really want to go. I'm the quickest out of you all and the smallest. They won't catch me, ever."
Iris frowned more. "No. You're rash and reckless." She glanced away from her and looked at Clint and Will. Clint could see that Talyn’s face was red.
"You two will go,” Iris said finally. “I'll gather news about his …uh....trial over the next week." Iris gave them a soft look, as if she knew they were feeling guilty. Clint gave an angry grunt and looked away.
Everyone knew that a ‘trial’ was merely a display of power.

Can I ask for more toddler Pheme shenanigans please? It gives me serotonin -w-
Moros babysitting Pheme and when Elpis returns, she finds a colourful new wall painting consisting of, not only little Pheme’s hands, but Moros’ hands as well, and Moros and Pheme just lying on the floor beneath, passed out from exhaustion
Pandora teaching little Pheme to cook, and Pheme having to stand on one of those stools that kids stand on coz they’re so tiny and can’t see over the stove
Moros accidentally swearing in front of Pheme, and when Elpis returns home, Pheme conveniently repeats it out loud, and Moros dies
Pheme making Elpis unrecognisable art pieces and Elpis hanging them up everywhere anyways because she loves her daughter and she loves her art.. flashforward to the 19th Century AD where a now grown-up Pheme points to the insane abstract art emerging in the art industry, like “see, i told you it was a real art style!!!”

MANIPURA CHAKRA- SOLAR PREXUS- BY DR. VISHAL DWIVEDI (7 CHAKRAS OF OUR BODY)
SHIVOM, today we will discuss about the third chakra MANIPURA CHAKRA which in English is called SOLAR PLEXUS, this according to the vedas is the epicenter is the fulcrum for deciding what will be the manifestation what will be the exploration magnitude of the person, wether the person can explore its non cognitive energies non cognitive traits which are not known which aren’t inherited from your ancestors but they are unique within that person, this is the chakra which defines that. this chakra is mostly blocked by the perception what we call as academics when we learn how the things are and we loose the possibility of exploring further keeping oneself within the shell, defined by the information, a single word "in" from the ears and what goes in forms something, and that shell is so strong in most of the people that they fail to break that shell and hence the possibility of exploration dies off. like, lets try and understand this thing by an living example.
Tumblr media
Thomas LY Addison according to his teacher was not a good student....but how can mankind forget his contribution towards our modern life, which is electricity....so his teacher behaved as per the perception, the perception as to what the student should be, which Thomas LY Addison did not match to.lets take another example.
Tumblr media
A person who has learnt and graduated as a surgeon is not given individual surgery at the very first go, but instead that person assists the experienced surgeon, now what is difference between those two surgeons, it is the "experience" the experience surgeon has explored beyond the academics beyond the text book, so exploration is the vital thing, when you don,t curb the quality of exploration it is then that this chakra remains activated, but when you curb it down it blocks, and when it is blocked it exhibits as digestive problems, pancreatic problems, anger, anxiety, sulking, depression.
I would recluse myself from elaborating further on the dysfunctional MANIPURA can do to the physical aspect. it also effects your societal behavior, as then you are just one in common because you have curbed the exploration the science of psychology tells us how the brain functions when there is an input but the science of the vedas tells us how the brain would behave when its non reactive, active but non reactive when the neurotic system within the body is active but the sympathetic nervous system which is acting as a shield to the inputs is inactive it is this when the brain can take a further leap and explore the areas its energies its traits which are somehow not part of the original system.
Concentrating on the MANIPURA CHAKRA requires deep breath inside and take it to your belly to your navel and hold it there, the quantum of the breath should be so that your belly should come out it should protrude it should come out and then you hold it and then you feel the stress of the breath around your navel in your abdominal area and then release and thereon if you can concentrate further it will take time for you but it is practical it is not theoretical thing, if you are able to take your concentration if you are able to take your hearing capability to your navel you hear a sound "rmmmmm" its like when all the strings of the guitar are hit in one time....you would observe when the strike is there it goes and comes back and this sound is to be observed in both the way the go and come the go and the come the go and the come that is when the full pheme is realized when you are able to do this that is when the things within you wont require any reason of seeing any hinderance its not that the environment would change you wont alter anything what you will alter is your strength and their will be no stress.... till the time we meet next time SHIVOM...Learn More.

The gift of Aphrodite: A greek tragedy Chapter 2
WARNING ABUSE TRIGGERS
Caroline had been tossing and turning for the better part of the night, the men at the feast had started to get very drunk from the wine and were making a lot of noise. But now it had finally seemed to die down. Her mind was still with the young prince Niklaus. She didn’t know why but there was something about him that made it hard for her to shake him. The way he had told her she amused him. It seemed like he saw there was more to her then just a pretty face. Yet he was so smug, and arrogant..and annoying and very good looking.
There was noise coming from outside her door, a stumbling that made Caroline feel like somebody squeezed her heart tightly. She got up from her soft bed and stood up just as the door opened.
“WIFE!” King Talaemenes shouted walking towards her trying not to fall over in his drunken state.
“I am right here, there is no need to shout” Caroline sighed annoyed. She hated him always, but even more when he was drunk.
He grabbed her by her upper arms and pressed his lips forcefully onto hers, his beard and mustache irritating her skin. He smelled horrible and he tasted of wine and gods forbid even vomit.
“You are so beautiful Caroline, but you need to learn to not speak out of turn, now why don’t you put that mouth to good use” He laughed trying to push her down on her knees.
Caroline thought she was going to gag right then and there. “You are drunk Talameanes, go to bed” she said turning her back on him.
“YOU ARE MY WIFE AND I WILL BED YOU WOMAN!” Talaemenes shouted pulling her back now with more strength.
“Do you even know how to?” Caroline laughed at his pathetic drunken state.
“Mark my words woman, you will love and respect me, and you will bare my son or I will send you to the depths of Hades by the edge of my sword!” Talaemenes threatened squeezing her arms so tightly he was leaving hand shaped bruises.
“I will never love you! You are a horrible drunken old man and I hope the god's never give us a child! I would rather be impaled by a thousand swords then to bed you ever again!” Caroline screamed at him.
With a swing of his arm he slapped her with the back of his hand across the face, his ring leaving a cut along her cheekbone and making her fall backwards on the bed. Her head was dizzy from the impact as he climbed on top of her. She tried with all her might to push him off of her but he was so heavy she couldn’t breath under his weight. His hands crept up her leg pushing up her nightgown. His horrible smell filling her nostrils.
“I paid your dowry, I own you now,” he whispered in her ear. “You are forever mine and you will never leave this place, you will bare my son, and I will raise him to be as glorious as I am. And if I want to I will bed you every night until you bore me”
Tears rolled down her eyes as he entered her, and she prayed to the gods for the sweet relief of death.
As soon as he was done he left her lying in the bed silently sobbing as he retreated to his own chambers on the other side of the palace. He had been right. As long as she was here, he would own her. And the hope she had for a son or a daughter to distract her from her horrible husband had now also been shattered. She realised that if she bared his son , he would be raised to be as much of a brute as his father. She wondered then if she would dislike her son as much as she hated Talaemenes, how painful it must be to see her child grow up like that. Yet if she bore a daughter, as soon as she would come of age she would be condemned to the same faith as herself. Married off to some old drunken war hero as a trophy. She could never do that to her daughter.
At first she felt numb, her body and mind emptied by his actions. She could feel herself being drained and was left with nothing but all consuming darkness inside of her. Voices in her head whispering she would forever be bound to this life.
Panic started to overcome her, she wanted nothing more than to run from this place, but Talaemenes would scour the earth for her. She would be constantly on the run and never truly free from him. Not unless…
Caroline looked out of her window. It was still the middle of the night, if she left now she knew how to get around the guards. She wiped her tears and pulled a cloak from her chest covering it over her nightdress. Silent as the wind she walked through the halls careful to avoid the marching guards and ducking behind corners to avoid them. Her legs trembled as she walked up the many stairs of the palace.
The wind hit her face hard as she arrived at the open space on top of the castle. It was cold and sending shivers over her skin. Still she dropped the cloak she was wearing to the ground looking over the city limits in her beautiful blue night dress. Her lip was trembling. She was frightened but knew this would be the best option. Anything else would be unbearable. Spending her life with him would destroy her anyways. Her hair flew sideways as she reached the edge. She looked around once more to see if anybody was around. She was all alone. Carfully she stepped onto the stone borders and looked down. It was a long fall down, she had chosen the river side hoping her body would float away into poseidon. But either way the impact would deffinatly kill her instantly.
Her thoughts raced at a million miles an hour. The aching pain in her heart making her breath heavily. She had no other choice. She kept telling herself this was the only way out. He had told her so. Tears rolling from her cheeks again her mind becoming a dull black haze. Carefully she shuffled over the edge when somebody called out to her.
 “Your highness!”
She nearly jumped when somebody called out to her almost losing her balance as she looked back to see who was behind her. It was him again, Prince Niklaus.
“Stay away from me!” Caroline said holding out her hands to him to maintain a distance.
Her heart was pounding in her chest, fear making her body tremble. She couldn’t think straight anymore, all that mattered was that he stay away from her. He would not save her. She would not let him! She started hyperventilating now.
“You don’t want to do this ” Klaus whispered taking a tentative step towards her.
“I SAID STAY BACK!!!” Caroline screamed at him sobbing.
“Take my hand, your majesty please take my hand…” Klaus carefully stretched out his hand to her.
“NO!!! I will never be free of him in this life!! He will always control me! And my children, I can’t bare it! I’d rather see the depths of hades….” She took another step back nearly falling backwards letting out a small squeal.
Klaus wanted to run to grab her but she maintained her balance at the last second and fended him off again. He had known she was unhappy, but enough to take her own life baffled him. He felt the need to protect her from this pain she must be feeling, and realised if he wanted to have some kind of impact on her he would have to treat her like the person she wanted to be, not the queen she was.
“Caroline….I’m going to take your hand now….” He reached out to her.
Caroline shook her head vigorously but let him come closer to her. His eyes looking into hers intently , she noticed a similar fear in his eyes as the one she felt inside her heart. And when he eventually grabbed her hand she let him pull her into his arms as she started to cry and sob uncontrollably. His hands caressing her back and the back of her head as he placed a soft kiss into her hair.
 “It”s ok sweetheart…. I’ve got you now”
He held her to his chest until her breathing calmed down, letting her tears stain his tunic and hoping that nobody would catch them in this compromising embrace. The last thing she needed was being accused of adultery now. In the back of his mind he wondered what would have happened if he hadn’t seen her walking up those stairs earlier. Her eyes so filled with numb sadness that she didn’t even see him when she passed him. When she finally did stop crying she went back to that numb state. Klaus gently took a step back cupping her chin between his fingers and pulling her face up slightly turning it to the right to look at the cut on her left cheek. It wasn’t bleeding anymore but slightly swollen and bruised and little crusts of dried up blood smudged her cheek.
“What happened here?” He asked although he could guess the answer.
She remained silent only shrugging her shoulders trying to avoid his gaze.
“A man who lays a hand on a woman is nothing more than a coward” Klaus whispered maybe more to himself then to her. “Let’s get you cleaned up then”
Klaus guided her down the steps silently again and through the hallways of where he had seen her sneak off earlier that night. He took her to the kitchens he had found earlier that night when exploring the palace. They were empty now as the city was fast asleep. He grabbed a cloth and some water in a bowl moistening the cloth before dabbing it softly on her cheek to clean off the dried up blood.
She hissed painfully breathing in air as the cold touched her cheek. She pulled her face away rather harshly somehow annoyed by his kind gesture.
“I’m fine, you do not need to belittle me like I am a child with a scraped knee” She whispered in a monotone voice.
“Yes well, forgive me your majesty but without proper cleaning that ...that might scar” He tried to reason with her.
“Good, I hope it does” she bit back at him.
“Why are you so keen to besmirch your own beauty, many women would love making a deal with Pheme for it” Klaus asked her trying to put the cloth back to her face.
“Yes well look where it got me…trapped in an ivory cage by an abusive husband” Caroline pushed his hand away.
“You desire freedom your majesty?” Klaus asked again bringing up the cloth, he was just as stubborn as she was. “Is that what you were doing at the river yesterday morning?”
“I wasn’t running if that is what you are asking, sometimes I just need a break…..When I was a child and I needed a break I would run to this nearby river and my friends and I would laugh and swim, we would pick flowers until dusk… we were young and carefree” Caroline let him gently wipe her cheek as she was lost in her story. “Then one day it was just all over, I was to be married off. Goodbye to my friends, my family my home all because of a big enough dowry…. I never felt so betrayed in my life...Or so forsaken for that matter….So when life in the palace suffocates me i go to the river hoping to find that carefree feeling again”
“And have you?” Klaus was so into her story, the way the words fell over her lips he looked at them completely mesmerized. Yes she was beautiful. But she was also strong and fierce, and maybe even the most gentle soul he had come across.
“Not quite yet, i’m still looking for whatever will bring me peace” Caroline turned her head up again and looked him straight in the eyes.
The air was thick between them as his hand rested on her cheek giving a sending a warm glow through her chilled body. She breathed heavily and shallow again but this time there was a completely different emotion causing it. His eyes were the blue of a thunderstorm, there was something wild and untamable in them,  Yes something remarkably beautiful. The blond curls that only just didn’t touch his shoulders. And those ridiculously charming dimples in the way he would smile at her. Her eyes finally landed on his lips and she could feel her mouth getting dry. What was this feeling that was rumbling in her stomach to her core. She licked her lips slightly so she was able to speak.
“But i’m getting closer I think” She whispered as her face moved closer to his, their lips just inches from each other.
She closed her eyes ignoring every alarm bell that was going off in the rational part of her head. She had just met this man yesterday, and she was married! But he had saved her, and comforted her. He had let her speak of her fears and listened, nurtured her. She was drawn to him for some reason. She could nearly taste him now feeling his hot breath on her when a loud crash startled both of them.
Caroline quickly looked around to see if they had been caught but noticed she had accidentally pushed the wooden bowl of water to the ground. Nevertheless the moment was gone and they had created a distance between each other again. Which was probably for the best.
“I should get back to my chambers” She whispered coldly again and scraped her throat. “I bid you a goodnight mylord”
Klaus blinked trying to process what had just happened and getting the thoughts in his mind back in order he simply watched her as she walked to the door.
“Goodnight your majesty” he bowed slightly to her before she disappeared from sight.

First Interrogation ; The Words That Hurt Most
╔══════╗
┊┊❁ཻུ۪۪♡ ͎. 。˚
I tapped my fingers against the desk, annoyed and darting my eyes around the room impatiently for any sign of a sentient being entering the room, or even the sound of a squeak. It wouldn’t been dead silent without the eerie ambience, which I would have much preferred instead of this sense of dread in the air. Furrowing my eyebrows, I tapped my foot against the cement and glanced towards the door; letting my thoughts wander freely and considering…everything that’s happened in the past 48 hours or less.
—-——————-————————————————
I was annoyed, acting inconvenienced. Maybe it was because I had expected Es to be late due to the fact everyone complained they were late, and I already set my expectations lower than usual for someone like them.
Or.
Maybe because they were taking the most time to get here out of every single interrogation.
I was honestly starting to think it was intentional—they knew about my distrust and suspicion—and therefore they were trying to both piss me off and avoid me at the same time, which made me even more pissed.
Because, even though they looked like my younger cousin in both height and babyface, they had the attitude of a complete brat. It was getting ridiculous, as I’ve heard from several others (and….eavesdropping occasionally) they have found it in themself to be short-tempered and aggravate everyone within a 24 mile radius. It’s almost a talent of how they’ve pissed one of us off at least twice.
Of course, this was just my observation. An assumption, if you will. Because of their rather vague and often contradictory statements, I’ve taken to calling them “pheme”, much to their disliking. Did they know what it meant?…probably not. But that wasn’t the point.
—-——————-————————————————
I sighed, focusing back in on MILGRAM and the eerie chambers. My mind seemed to stop racing when I heard the click of a door and a very familiar cough, clearing their throat.

I'll Break your Promise- The Island(3)
"Did you hear about what happened?" Diana exclaimed as she came down the steps of the Pheme Inn, tying her blonde hair into a ponytail quickly. The Peheme Inn was Melanie’s Inn. In the war against Victor it was a safe space for injured soldiers to get treated and for families to stay. Now it was Talyn and Iris’s home. Daughters of Melanie and Diana.
Talyn and Iris shared a tiny glance but kept eating.
Before, they had used illusions to make it seem like the innocent prisoners that they helped escaped had died long enough for them to get rid of the 'bodies'.
"The thieves also stole the merchant's horses. You know Merchant Gerald? Three of his horses were gone this morning. I got a letter and he's pissed off."
Good, Talyn thought.
Melanie pat her shoulder and sighed softly, before offering a tiny smile. "Well... They're long gone now, honey. You can only try and prevent it from happening again."
Diana huffed and shrugged her shoulders.
Iris spoke up next after she took a sip from her water. "And how are things with Eira and Lilura? I hear somethings brewing between them?"
Eira was the kingdom up North, allied with Ascian forest, Where the werewolves and shapeshifters lived. Lilura was a mysterious kingdom. But allied with Veles, underground city of vampires and witches. Ascian and Veles had their differences, but Eira and Lilura were never so tense that people actually talked about it.
"Nothing serious," Melanie replied as she rubbed Diana's shoulder. "We don't know what's got their hair in a bunch, but we won't intervene. I'm sure it'll sort itself out." She looked over to the window then. The sky was starting to shift into blue. "Ah... People will be waking up soon. We better get moving-"
Talyn crunched the last bit of her toast. People woke up directly at the crack of dawn in their Inn, and Melanie was always prepared for people. It was always busy, except in the morning hours when people slept.
"I'm going to the library today," Iris said. Talyn glanced at her as she picked up the finished plates. Iris's mouth twitched. She was lying. "Is that alright?"
Talyn knew exactly where she was going- To visit her boyfriend, Icarus.
"If someone kicks me in the teeth I'll hit them in the b-"
"Bye, hon!" Melanie cut off Talyn and waved after Iris.
-------
The two soon reached the meadow from their walk, soft green blades blowing softly in the wind as butterflies twirled around the flowers. There were few butterflies- A clear sign fall was on its journey.
"I have a gift for you." She heard him rustle around in the pockets of his trousers, before his freckled hands brought out a shiny object in front of her, A ring. "Here."
Iris carefully plucked the ring out from his fingers. It was silver, decorated with red gems. She smiled softly as she slipped it on- Feeling her cheeks flush as red as the ring.
She could see the corner of his mouth turn into a smirk. "You better not."
----
That night, Talyn excused herself from her chores and gathered her stuff to go train at The Fort.
The Fort was a mountain- A special one. On the outside it looked like a mountain, but on the inside, it was a massive...Room. Talyn and her friends would go there to train with their weapons. They had to do so in secret because their guardians didn't want them to grow up with 'violence' as they once had. But not one of them wanted to live a humble life like the adults wanted them to.
Talyn ran down the trail she had memorized long ago, using a lantern to light up her way. The sun was slinking beneath the horizon, lighting the clouds up in an orange flame as night came to extinguish it.
She came forward, pushing aside the vines that hid the entrance, slipping inside. Here, it felt like home. The walls and ceiling were tall, the floor smooth with little cracks. There were boulders around, and to a wall hung their personal weapons they used. It was wide open, with more tunnels leading to more rooms but they stuck to their main one.
She waited, stretching out her arms. Clint and Will came in soon enough.
"Careful," Will said to Talyn as he began to stretch as well, smiling playfully. "Clint's extra moody today. He didn't get his beauty sleep."
"And apparently neither did you because you're still ugly," Clint snapped back.
"Mmmmkay grumpy. Keep tellin' yourself that. It's nice to see people with hope."
Clint huffed sat down on a rock, doing the laces on his own boots as well. Will stretched his back out with multiple pops and an ugly groan, before he looked around and asked, "Iris isn't here yet?"
"Nope." Talyn pulled the laces a little tighter then. "She went out with her new boyfriend, Icahbod."
"Isn't it Icarus?"
"Whatever."
Clint looked up after a moment, pulling his arms over his head. "What did Diana say about last night, though?”
"Ah, she was pissed today." Talyn looked up and smiled a tad, satisfied as an image of Diana's vein popping flashed in her head. "It was great. But- She is tightening up security. Bad news for us.”
"And that just means giving them more flashy swords and less rules for them to follow," Clint grumbled.
Talyn, as well as the rest, shared his frustration. The guards got away with everything and never spent a single wink in a jail cell. She didn't want to imagine what they got away with when they were inside with the prisoners...
The vines rustled then, and Iris stepped through. "Hey!" She greeted, grinning widely. It was odd.
Talyn stood up and smiled. "Hey, Iris!" Right after Iris stepped through, a red-haired boy followed. Ichabod. "And... Iris's friend."

Talyn and Iris went to the wall where their weapons were, while Will struck up a conversation with Icarus. He always did that, Will was very much a people person and very talkative. It was a miracle he shut up on missions.
Talyn took her bow off the wall, running her hand down it. She had this bow since she was a kid, and she had finally grown to fit into it. Iris came over and stood next to her. Talyn looked at her and sighed."Why'd you let him in?" She muttered. "Why didn't you ask us first?"
Iris took her own weapon, a rare whip-sword with jagged silver blades.
And besides, he gave me a promise ring today." She smiled assuringly, but the smile didn't do its job. What the hell did a promise ring have to do with this? It only made Talyn frown, but Iris turned away anyways. "Alright c'mon! We'll start off simple today."
