I don't draw, but in the server we had a conversation that led to asking @leomonae what if Illithitav had a cute baby of a tadpole one day. So I present to you, cute baby mind flayer tadpole. Why is there white hair? Because Astarion is somehow the father. Don't question it.

I saw a frankly bizarre take, stating something along the lines of "why do you say that the show kills off disabled characters when Lucius, Black Pete, Spanish Jackie and Ed are still there."
Ok. But wasn't Izzy disabled? Was the arc of either of those other characters so firmly centered around their disability? Were they showed struggling with it, then slowly beginning to accept it?
Yes, similarly to Izzy, Lucius also lost a body part and was given a new one, made out of wood. And it strengthened his relationship with Pete. But, beyond some complaining and excusing himself from work, Lucius wasn't shown to be too affected by the loss of his finger.
Izzy had to take his time getting used to his body's new limitations, figuring out new ways to operate, to fight and to move on a daily basis. There was emphasis put on this part of his arc, his disability being portrayed as something that ultimately brings the crew and the crew and Izzy, together.
I'll say one more thing - it's okay if you just don't like Izzy! 🩷 many people didn't and still don't! It's okay if you're glad he's dead, and if you're annoyed that many people are talking about him specifically right now.
What is not okay is you finding bullshit new ways to tell those of us who like Izzy and are sad because of what happened, that we're somehow wrong to feel the way that we feel.

The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, closely followed by our desire to persist through it out of sheer spite

Onward to 2024. The goals are simple: to make art and stay silly (the latter of which has become increasingly difficult to do), but I must persevere for the children who enjoy compiling thousands of animal facts into their brains.

Leviathan
Victor never intended it to be like this. Sure, his greatest adversary defeated, but not...like this. And it wasn't even the desire to finally best that infernal (now, a terrible choice of words) Reed Richards, that led them down this path. Reed, in his usual insufferable manner, intended to help Victor. The gall! The absolute audacity! For Reed to meddle with matters he knew so little about! So dismissive of sorcery, his disdain for the supposed lack of logic of magic.
And now. Reed still persists...but as not Reed. Or is he? Is there some vestigial remainder of Reed's personality locked away in that colossal thing? That towering horrorshow that now exists, lumbering like a sentient force of nature, shambling across the ruin of NYC. An infinite shadow in the hazy sky, where Victor looks up, staring, thankful that for once, the haze that fills up the sky, obscures the leviathan. Staring at it for too long, it would drive a weaker-willed man to insanity. But not Doom, he of the infamous iron will. He doesn't get to escape the guilt that easily. There is no comfort in being sane, not anymore, not in this mad world.
(Pen and ink, and terrible ideas by me)
For DoomReed Week, because I'm back on my What If? Reed Was a Cosmic Horror? shit, again 👀
