one of the great writing pains is when you’re writing from just one POV, but you have a million notes on how all the other characters are feeling and thinking internally that the POV character will never know, and so your readers will never know, but YOU know😭

In Trickster I really like how you wrote a lot of the canon characters like Alya (her specifically) and Chole. Even though you don't like them, you still wrote them in a way that well it still addresses their fault, doesn't outright demonize them. It's a rare thing to see in fanfic and it's always nice to see it.

I like to refer to my approach to writing these particular kinda characters (that I don’t really like/am mostly disinterested in aside from story opportunities) as True Neutral, since I’m not leaning any particular way with my portrayal of them. I just let them out into the metaphorical playground and see what they do.

It’s a kind of salt that I find really cathartic. To just let these characters act as they would (tho, some tweaks may be necessary for consistency’s sake [cuz we all know how canon is about that] and depending on your story) and it’s the framing and other characters’ reactions that are changed to a more grounded lens.

I like s6 but there are SO MANY conversations missing:

Literally anything about Micheal or even Harry. Does Athena miss them? Does May miss his dad or his brother? We’ll never know

Hen is leaving the 118 and then she’s not anymore and we never see her talking about any of this with Chim (last season they had a whole conversation about “you’re my best friend, working with you doesn’t feel like working”) or Athena (her best friend)

Eddie and Chris conversation about him being a firefighter again. I don’t remember if they talked about it last season but I don’t think so.

Chim and Maddie had like two scenes together. They just got back together. Was it hard? Did they fall right back into their rythm? Who knows!

Buck and Bobby talking about the sperm donor thing. In season 1 they would have had an entire episode about it.
