“Hey!” (Y/n) protested,”(Koraidon/Miraidon) is important too!”

Arven only looked over to them and gave them a “really?” look as the legendary was currently trying to steal Dachsbun’s sandwich.

(Y/n) only sighed, walking over to Dachsbun’s abandoned sandwich, and grabbing it to give it to the scared pokémon.

“Now Dachsbun, eat this and leave poor Mabosstiff alone. He doesn’t wanna play right now.”

The puppy pokémon looked up, her sad puppy dog eyes threatening to spill tears, and slowly took the sandwich and trotted away to a secluded place by the rocks.

Arven sadly sighed, seeing the pitiful sight before him,”Maybe I can do some convincing to Mabosstiff, to, ya know, be friends with Dachsbun. Poor girl is eating all alone.”

“Yeah.” (Y/n) replied, crossing their arms over their chest,”So much for a picnic. It seems to be more of a drama fest than anything.”

“I agree” Arven said,”This definitely is no where near the Lady and the Tramp. No spaghetti scene for these two, it appears.”

(Y/n) snorted in response, causing Arven’s heart to swell. No one laughs at his corny jokes, especially that not quote “bothersome student council girl”.

“It seems like we’re gonna have to be together a lot more to make them be friends. It’s a win-win” (Y/n) said, causing Arven to blush and hide his face in his hair.

“U-Um okay. Cool. Cool. I’ll uhh I’ll see you tomorrow! Make sure to bring Dachsbun and NOT (Koraidon/Miraidon).

(Y/n) kept the promise they’d heard, and brought Dachsbun and (Koraidon/Miraidon).

Over the span of the next week, every day they tried to get Mabosstiff and Dachsbun closer together.

And every day they failed.

“Damn it.” Arven said, looking at Mabosstiff who was currently kicking Dachsbun off of (Y/n)’s couch,”Why don’t they get along?”

“Maybe they just don’t share experiences with each other” (Y/n) suggested,”Like we battled through hell at Area Zero, and they kinda didn’t together. That’s probably why we’re so close and they’re not.”

“Not close enough…” Arven muttered under his breath, low enough where (Y/n) couldn’t hear

“Maybe we should go on a trip!!” (Y/n) said,”Why not to Kalos? It’s right on the edge of Paldea!”

“Hmmm. Thats a good idea, actually, thanks little buddy!” Arven said, attempting to give a “friendly” shoulder pat.

“Why do you call me little buddy? I feel like we’re more than ‘buddies’.”

Arven coughed, trying to fight a loosing battle against the blush creeping onto his face,”W-What?!?”

“Yeah! We’re the best buddies ever! Best friends!” (Y/n) said, giving Arven a hug.

‘I don’t even care I was just friend-zoned, I love this’ He thought to himself

“All right then, (Y/n), let’s-“

“(Y/n)?” They asked,”Just plain old (Y/n)? Do I mean that little to you?”

“N-NO!” Arven said, grabbing their shoulders and looking down to meet their sad eyes,”YOU’RE AMAZING! YOU’RE MY BEST BUD EVER AND I WISH YOU WERE MORE- I MEAN I APPRECIATE YOU BEING THERE FOR ME….haha….ha…..man I screwed up didn’t I?”

(Y/n) looked into his saddened blue eyes, tears threatening to spill,”No! You didn’t Arven, I-“

“You don’t have to say it! I know you hate me now!” Arven said, storming off.

“-feel the same way….” They finished before being blasted by a rush of air across their legs.

Dachsbun ran after Arven, seeking to comfort the crying boy on the doorstep of (Y/n)’s residence.

Mabosstiff perked up, seeing how the normally hyper pokémon was slowly and gently crawling into the lap of Mabosstiff’s trainer, giving him doggy kisses.

Arven starting to laugh through the sniffles of his crying, giving Dachsbun a good belly rub as she flopped down dramatically in his lap.

Mabosstiff then got off of the couch, and went over to (Y/n), who was letting the tears fall on their own face now.

“Hey Mabosstiff…you okay?” They asked, rubbing his head.

He barked in response, nudging their legs in the direction of his trainer.

“You think he’d listen?”

“Woof!”

“I take your word for it.”

They patted Mabosstiff on the head one last time before stepping out of the threshold of their home, and sitting beside the boy who was wiping his tears.

“You never let me finish, Arven, I like you back. Have since you told me about Mabosstiff and the Herba Mystica. I really have feelings for you. I’m not ‘just saying that’, I mean it Arven.”

“Ohhhh (Y/n)” He said, bawling his eyes out,”You mean so much to me! I love to hear you say that! Please, hold onto me and never let go”

“Trust me” (Y/n) said, looking into his glassy blue eyes,”I won’t. They apparently won’t either”

Both of their eyes adverted to Mabosstiff and Dachsbun, who were cuddled up beside each other watching the scene between their trainers unfold.

“THEY LIKE EACH OTHER!!” Arven said, crying even more out of joy,”THEY’RE FRIENDS!!!”

(Y/n) laid their head on his chest,”Yeah they are, but we sure aren’t, at least not anymore.”

“What…? I thought you said-“

(Y/n) looked up into Arven’s eyes,”Yeah, we’re more than friends”

Arven, who is now blushing instead of crying, turns his face to hide it in his hair,”Okay. Cool. Cooool. That’s cool.”

“You can be happy Arven, no need to cover it up with your ‘cool guy persona’”

Arven just laughed, resting his chin atop of (Y/n)‘a head,”You’re crazy little buddy”

“Yeah so are you Arvy”

“I like that” He replied,”My (Mom/Dad) never gave me a nickname, so I’m glad it was you”

“It’s my pleasure Arvy”

The two of them sat on (Y/n)‘a doorstep, watching the sun set as the two dogs who once hated each other, played with Dachbun’s toys together.

Here’s my little tiny exploration of Luis’ character because it is my god-given duty to pull him apart and analyse him

• Ok so first off………. THE OPENING SCENE??????????? Oh my god there’s S O MUCH TO TALK ABT. Yes Luis dancing is hot as SHIT but also???????? He was about to get TORTURED and MURDERED and he STILL decided to have fun with it and do a lil dance?????? That’s so!!!!!!!!!! He wants to live out his fantasies right until the end!!!!! He truly does think his confidence can get him anywhere!!!!!!! And then when the dance ends he’s READY TO FISTFIGHT THE MONKS?????? NO WEAPONS HES FULLY ABIUT TO GO FISTFIGHT THEM???? He KNOWS it’s a loosing battle but he’s gonna fight tooth and nail to the very end!!!!!!!!!!!

• Also when he turns to face the person who was also dying in the cell and says “this next dance is for you brother” and we get a close up of his face……….. god it hurts to know that that was a person. Somebody who was beautiful in their own right and maybe even somebody who meant something to Luis. Even in the face of death Luis sees the beauty in it ARGHGAGWHSGSB

• Also also I’m sure SOMEBODY could find meaning behind the Flamenco (somebody more knowledgeable in Spanish culture than me) but I’ve heard some people say it symbolises capture and death???? CAPCOM HOW DARE YOU HURT ME SO

• I LOVE that we get to see a more relaxed side of Luis around Ada and less of his flirtiness and damn. It’s so obvious he and Leon are in Love. He’s trying soooooooo hard to impress Leon every time they talk by being super flirty with him and then whenever he’s with Ada he’s a total nerd he’s soooooooooooooo in love w that blonde twink

• GODDAMN THAT FIRE SCENE. WHAT I S N T THERE TO TALK ABOUT??????? First of all the paralells between his childhood where he watched his grandfather die in a fire?????? Also he FULLY RAN INTO A BURNING BUILDING AND ALMOST DIED J U S T TO GET LEON HIS MEDICINE????????????? HE CARES ABOUT LEON SM I WANNA RIP SOMETHING APART. He didint wanna see Leon die in the same way his Grandfather did because he couldn’t save his Grandfather back then!!!!!!!!!!! He wants to make things right!!!!!! HE WAS LITERALLY ON HIS HANDS AND LNEES CRYING I CANT I CANT

I LOVE that we see him hesitate for a good solid few seconds on wether or not he should run away from her or stay,,, wether or not he should go back to his usual habits of running away from the people he loves or stay to help,,,, ANS HE STAYS TO HELP BECAUSE HE CARES ABY ADA AND ALSO??? ADA BEING LIKE “leave me here……… besides…… you’ve got a promise to keep……..” OOOOOOOUGGHHH SHE KNOWS,,,, SHE KNOWS HOW MUCH LEON MEANS TO HIM I CANNOG RN also that lil apothecary thing he had was sooooo gender of him

•OH MY GOD HIS DEATH SCENE WHERE HE CALLS HER?????????????? I don’t remember EXACTLY what he said and I’d have to comb through like hours of footage to find it again but,,,,,. THE FACT THAT HE CALLED HER TO SAY GOODBHE????? HE CARES ABOUT HER RIGHT UMTIL THE END?????? AND HE CALLS HIMSELF HER ‘Good Samaritan’ IN THE SAME WAY HE CALLS HIMSELF DON QUIXOTE TO LEON AOAOAISAUJSSOSISKS,,,,,, and then he’s like “sorry I’ve gotta go Leon needs my help ;)” OUGH,,,,, I’m gonna reference another post from my mutual but it’s so sad that Luis got to spend the rest of his life with Leon but not the other way round………………..

• I’m so glad we got to see more of Luis and more of his personality when he’s not tryna swoon the blonde twink he’s in love with BXNSBEHEJXIAIS he feels like such a deep and real human being especially whenever he interacts with Ada and I just,,,,,,,,,, sigh. He’s my favourite character for a reason. 10/10 no notes

• Edit: also the parallels between Luis calling himself Ada’s ‘Good Samaritan’ and Leon his Sancho like AAAAAAAAAA???? You could pick apart the meaning and argue abt how good samaritans are usually friends and Sancho is a code word for Gay Lover in a lot of old fashioned Spanish bars like how ‘friends of Dorothy’ was but ANSNWUENDUNXXUNDDHXN SHUT UP I can’t rn

•Also I’m SURE you could pull some symbolism from the bugs and from Luis having an apothecary as catholic self-exorcism and how ‘science is the roof of all evil’ and Luis is using it to help others etc etc etc……….

Also if anyone else finds anything abt luis lore wise like how you have to find a picture of his grandfather or of him with Umbrella in the original PLEEEEAAAAASSSWE SHOW ME I NEED MORE LUIS BACKSTORY I NEED IT IN MY VEINS

• ALSO ALSO EDIT: the fact that one of the ingredients for his cure are butterfly wings???? And butterflies symbolise CHANGE????? HIS ENTIRE ARC IS ABT CHANCE??????? I’m actually gonna be sick.

The Present:

You waited until your Grandparents went do bed. As the mansion fell silent you finally had the courage to get out of your room. The red skin underneath your eyes indicated that you cried after coming back. to your dissapointment the fairy wasnt with you, no matter how much you had screamed into your room. even the chat guy didnt came online anymore, while so many questions were burning on your tounge. jungkook was a kind man. a kind man who doesnt deserve to die. on tippy toes you made your way over into the library again, sure that there must be something, hidden inside one of the old books. the light was dimm which made it hard to see a thing. only the nearest books were well lit enough to make out the letters on the back of them. with a sigh you pulled 30 books out of their respective place. as you sat down on the ground with them your fingertips slid over the back of each one of them. all of those book were from the year 1918 to 1920. you were sure that you would find something about jungkook in earlier books. books no one had the idea to look into them before you. just because he died in 1920 doesnt mean there arent records about him from earlier.

but as soon your fingers wanted to open the book a knock was heard behind you. your whole body froze, there it was again, another little knock. gulping heavily you turned around to the big window, there was nothing seen beside the huge moon on the sky. there it was again. annoyed you stood up, brave enough to face whatever made that sound. with both hands you opened the huge windows, looking around but there was no one ... until ...

"hey! down here!"

your gaze went downwards into your grandparents garden. at the sight of that stranger you nearly stumbeled backwards. this cant be right? there is no way, right? underneath the small balcony there was a boy, smiling up at you. you knew that smile, of course, because you already saw it two times.

"W-Who are you?" your voice was a whisper but loud enough for him to hear.

"Pff ... you wrote with me earlier. Im Jimin by the way!" before he could shout more you decided to wave him up.

to your suprise Jimin was really skilled in climbing, it didnt took him long to jump on your balcony.

"do i wanna know how you knew where i live?"

another grin from him "your IP adress baby. You should get a VPN when you write with strangers"

you just rolled your eyes as he just went inside, in the meantime you closed the windows. Jimin looked around the library, whistling at all the books. thats when you noticed that he had a huge bag with him. before you could ask he sat down between the scattered books and opened his bag. there were a lot of different documents which he places right in front of him.

"come, im sure this will be of your interest" jimin waved you to him.

a bit hesitant you sat down beside him. it was still so weird. he looked like park jimin, his name was jimin and he even smiled like him. was park jimin his ancestor? shaking your head you took one of the documents into your hands. on the paper were various dates and locations.

"be careful. i need to bring them back later ... i got in a lot of trouble obtaining these. my uncle nearly killed me there" he took another paper and held it in front of your face. it showed a family tree and many more dates. "here look. thats jeon jungkook's family tree. do you notice something strange?"

"it ... stops after him" your fingers traced the letters of his name. underneath the blurry picture and his name .. was nothing. the family stopped continueing.

"exactly. he was the last one. no siblings, no nephews, no cousins. he was the only and the last one of his family."

"so you mean ..."

Jimin clicked with his tounge "the rumour that his family got rid of all the info involving him .. isnt true. because there is no family left. his family and family name died with him."

you couldnt wrap your head around it. if it wasnt his family, who was it then? slowly something struck you as your gaze moved back into jimins face.

"say Jimin, are you ... maybe related to Park Jimin? A guy who was Jungkook's best friend"

"hm yeah. thats why i was able to get all of these. I dont know why they were hidden on our attic tho"

"what was the relationship between your family and the Jeon's?!" out of the blue you grabbed Jimin's shoulders.

"Yah! I- I dont know! i just stumbled over them after i searched the attic for more clues" maybe jimin was really clueless. but what if it was his family who got rid of every trace Jungkook left?

Your hand reached out for another document on the top of it was a picture of Kook. much better quality than the one on the family tree. as usual he was smiling, brightly. you couldnt understand how someone would be able to kill such a positive person. seeing him smile like this and knowing what fates awaited him, made your heart break a bit. Jimin noticed that as he placed a hand on your shoulder.

"why are you so invested in his case? i mean, im a history nerd but you? you dont seem like it"

for a second you werent able to find the right words as they got stuck inside your throat "I ... I just ...-"

the more you looked at the picture the heavier your heart felt. there was something inside your chest, it tightened and suddenly out of the blue you heard the female voice again:

"oh come dont be like that. Smile for me! You know i love your smile!"

your heart grew heavier ... then there was another voice

"why ... why are you always leaving. dont go. what if you die out there?! ... i dont care if its your duty! Please stay with me!"

slowly a tear rolled down your cheek. the document you just had in your hand slipped out of it and onto the ground. jimin tried to shake your shoulder, saying something but you couldnt hear him. because the next thing you heard wasnt a womans voice, it was the voice of a men:

"dont worry okay? i will come back. i always came back to you. you will see, we will be together soon. just wait for me!"

with that sentence the time suddenly stood still. as the tears rolled down your cheeks you finally noticed that the shaking had stopped. slowly you looked around, finding jimin frozen in place beside you. one of your hands reached out to your cheek, wiping away all the tears which just kept going and going.

"you heard it right?" there she was again, the fairy sat down on one of the books. her eyes looked at all the documents on the ground in front of her "you heard his voice and .. her voice."

"that was ... his voice right? Jungkook's voice. it sounded so real ... it sounded like he was right next to me"

the fairy nodded a bit "your life and his fate are deeply connected to each other. it wasnt a coincidence that you came here Y/N. it was fate."

everything was too much. you were always able to hear voices which werent there, back in university. but you always told yourself that you were tired because of all the exam stress you had. now this fairy is telling you why you hear those voices.

"he needs you Y/N. You found another trigger point within those documents ... are you ready to travel again? to the day that picture was taken?" the fairy pointed at the smiling face of Jungkook "dont worry, the time here will stand still. he wont notice that you are gone"

wiping away your tears you looked over to jimin again. the fairy was right, your fate was to help junkook, to prevent the things that had happened to him. slowly you stood up, nodding a bit.

"yes.. im ready. take me to him"

Incoming ramble I wanna hear you’re thoughts on this cause it’s been on my brain for a little bit and it’s got me in my feels

K so I forget if it’s in the step 3 prologue or in the Drive moment but either way when on the topic of Cove leaving for Nevada every now and again and choosing how your MC feels about it there’s the option to choose that it makes you sad and nervous specifically because the little 8 year old in you (who remember was probably HORRENDOUSLY lonely) was scared that Cove was gonna leave and never come back

Now that option alone already gets to me (cause I relate to it hard cough cough) but just imagine the MC actually confessing to Cove about that fear!! Obviously the MC doesn’t want to make Cove stop going cause yknow he’s literally going to see his own mom but MC also can’t deny that there’s that sad lonely little kid inside their head who just doesn’t want to be left alone again so they’re kinda just stuck in the dilemma. But soon enough after feeling well enough to admit it they finally tell Cove about it and get to actually work it out!!!

It just- AUGH ITS GOT ME EMOTIONAL MAN I CANT-

cove would actually feel so relieved omg bc it makes him sad too and he misses you, ofc ik he says that no matter what but I think he also worries abt leaving n nevering coming back
