Imōto Part 2
Jacqui decides to make things happen.
Takeda would follow Jacqui to the ends of the earth. She’d feel bad about it if she didn’t feel the exact same way.
As they walked, his pheromones settled. She left her mind as blank as possible so that he couldn’t figure out that they were walking towards the main temple.
“Wait, what?” he stopped. “We’re going to their home?”
Dammit. I was so close.
“Just for a few minutes, let me at least see Lì-Yán?”
“You have a baby! At home! You're the most Omega Alpha I've ever met,” Takeda complained.
“Then indulge me, Alpha,” Jacqui whispered, taking his arm.
He hated how well she knew him, how he couldn't resist her calling him “Alpha.”
“You’re going to overplay your hand by calling me that; it's not always going to work,” he grumbled as she led him.
“No, I won't and yes, it will,” Jacqui countered, confidently.
They entered the palace and made their way to the heart, where the Hasashi family lived.
Jacqui. Takeda looked at the door, then at his wife. There's really no way I can talk you out of this?
We’re already here, she thought. Ice Pop will definitely smell that we're here and that we left.
Ice Pop wouldn't tell, wouldn't even try to get it out of him. He'd just look at Takeda with that face and those eyes and the judgment. Just like Papa-san. I hate that you're so smart and beautiful and intuitive, gods.
Jacqui laughed just as the door open.
Hanzo was there, his eyes hard until he saw who was in front of him. “Jacqui. Takeda.”
“Fire Dad,” Jacqui greeted, forgoing a bow and hugging him.
“Hey, Papa-san,” Takeda said quietly.
“Man, I miss the new baby smell,” Jacqui sighed before inhaling as much of Hanzo’s scent as he could. “Once they start walking, that new baby smell is gone.”
“What are you two doing here? Makaira–”
“Relax, relax, Dad is watching her. We came to see you and Ice Dad and our little proof of thermodynamic equilibrium,” Jacqui assured him, using baby talk as he referred to their daughter. “Is Ice Dad ready for visitors?”
Hanzo cast an unreadable glance to Takeda, who didn’t meet his eyes. “He will be happy to see you.”
He led them inside and Jacqui noted that their place was as tidy as usual. They really have a handle on this. Good for them.
Takeda’s anxiety was beginning to release through his pheromones. Jacqui grabbed his hand and smiled.
They entered the family room, where Kuai Liang was sitting in the sloppiest nest Jacqui had ever seen. He was reading a book, but stopped and clutched the baby sling on his chest when they approached.
“Jacqui. Takeda.” She could barely hear it over his loud purr. Mom used to get really loud like this too, she thought with a smile.
Takeda squeezed her hand as his pheromones shifted to admiration and comfort.
“They would like to see Lì-Yán, my treasure,” Hanzo explained.
He was still silent, looking at both of them, but lingering on Takeda, who was still looking at his feet.
“Why?” He asked, his purr dying down.
“You look like you could use a little time to yourself,” Jacqui offered. “Papa-san and Takeda will watch Lì-Yán and I will spoil her with my cool auntie vibes.”
“No.”
Jacqui glanced at Takeda. The terrible thing about loving a psychic was that he had access to her thoughts… but she was completely shut out of his. “Then why don’t I stay here with you while Papa-san and Takeda get some quality father-son time?”
Lì-Yán began to fuss and the absolute dread that came over his face was actually really sad. “I’ll be here. And I can hold her if you wanna sleep or shower or something.”
Takeda looked up in disbelief. “Wait, what?”
“If it is fine with you, my treasure, I would enjoy spending time with Takeda,” Hanzo offered.
Kuai Liang glanced at Takeda and nodded. “I suppose… I could… meditate.”
“Great idea,” Jacqui smiled.

Hanzo: You shouldn’t trust me so easily, little one. It’s unwise.
Tiny Takeda: Why not?
Hanzo: I’m a bad person. I’ve done many bad things.
Tiny Takeda: I don’t think so. You have guilty eyes. Bad people don’t have those.

Writing my own MK story is so hard cause there’s so many characters I wanna use but I legitimately can’t because there’s no room for them in the main story or else it would be to convoluted and there would just be characters hanging around with nothing to do
I would like to maybe give characters their own separate stories away from the main plot like Kenshi and Takeda or Nitara

DEAF! LESBIANFEM!READER WITH MK 11 CHARACTER INTROS
Tumblr media
SUMMARY : You’re a deaf kombatant that can read lips extremely well. Your power is all knowing. You are half Earthrealmer and half Outworlder. (You mainly grew up in Earthrealm though) Everyone in Outworld knows sign language. Some Earthrealmers also know sign language or at least a little bit.
This is more an x reader with Cassie Cage, Kitana, Jacqui Briggs, Mileena, and Skarlet but with funny intros with other characters
Also love friendship between Kano and (Y/N) in this
WARNINGS : suggestive
MASTERLIST 1 , MASTERLIST 2
Italics mean the reader is signing. Not speaking
Tumblr media
Cassie Cage : You know, I just got the perfect man for you
(Y/N) : If you say Kenshi I will strangle you
Cassie Cage : Sheesh. Nevermind
Cassie Cage : So tell me why you and Kenshi won’t work again?
(Y/N) : I am deaf…he is blind…how will he be able to see me sign to him?
Cassie Cage : Well now that you mention it…
(Y/N) : Why are you so persistent to set me up with someone?
Cassie Cage : Okay, I know the Kenshi thing was stupid but Takeda? He’s right for you
(Y/N) : His son?!
Cassie Cage : Um, why didn’t you tell me you liked girls?!
(Y/N) : You didn’t ask me
Cassie Cage : We’ll, guess I gotta call off the date I set up with you and Takeda
Cassie Cage : Wait. If you’re all knowing then does that mean you know-
(Y/N) : That you have a crush on me? Yes. Very much so
Cassie Cage : Goddamn it!
Cassie Cage : If you’re all knowing then does that mean you’ve seen me naked?
(Y/N) : It does not work like that but you can give me a demo if you want
Cassie Cage : *nervous laugh* Is it getting hot in here?
(Y/N) : I’ll whip you with your own pistol
Erron Black : If you’re doing it then I’m into it
(Y/N) : I gotta start off conversation saying ‘I like girls’ when I battle you people
Jacqui Briggs : If you’re all knowing then who’s gonna win the fight?
(Y/N) : Me. Obviously
Jacqui Briggs : Are you just saying that because you’re a bitch or are you serious?
Jacqui Briggs : Takeda is mine, (Y/N)
(Y/N) : I’m more interested in you
Jacqui Briggs : Oh shit-
Jacqui Briggs : I’m taking you out, (Y/N)
(Y/N) : I’m flattered but Cassie will be crushed
Jacqui Briggs : What? That’s not what I meant -
Jax : If you knew about other timelines, why didn’t you say anything?
(Y/N) : Nobody asked me
Jax : That’s the stupidest thing I ever heard
Johnny Cage : So why do you gotta be mute and deaf?
(Y/N) : You are a fucking idiot
Johnny Cage : I’m a fucking idiot? Well-can’t argue with you there
Johnny Cage : If you’re deaf then how come you can read my lips?
(Y/N) : I’m deaf. Not blind you idiot.
Johnny Cage : All I got from that is you calling me an idiot.
Johnny Cage : Okay, this sign language thing is hard
(Y/N) : How did your daughter pick up on it and you didn’t?
Johnny Cage : Yeah. I didn’t understand a word you just signed
Johnny Cage : Stop flirting with my daughter
(Y/N) : Trust me, a Cage is not my type
Johnny Cage : I don’t know if I should be offended by that
Kabal : Kano’s gotta soft spot for you
(Y/N) : Of course he does. Have you seen me?
Kabal : I don’t see the hype
(Y/N) : I am surprised you of all people know sign language.
Kano : You think I don’t do my work with deaf people? I’m not an ableist. Murderer yes but not that
(Y/N) : Dear God…
Kano : How can you tell I have an accent?
(Y/N) : Your mouth moves different than an American
Kano : That’s fucking cool
Kano : Come join the Black Dragaon, love
(Y/N) : So I can run from an ugly blonde with a gun? No thanks
Kano : She is ugly isn’t she?
Kitana : You know that I’m with Liu Kang, (Y/N)
(Y/N) : Ugh. Mr. Chosen one. Come be with a real woman
Kitana : Find her and I’ll be with her
(Y/N) : Liu Kang can’t handle all of that.
Kitana : *laughs* And you can?
(Y/N) : Very simple. Yes.
(Y/N) : I’m standing in front of the embodiment of beauty
Kitana : Flattery will not save you in this fight
(Y/N) : Well I tried
(Y/N) : He can’t give you what I can give you
Kitana : You know if you’d just asked me out before him then I would’ve been with you
(Y/N) : Wait…I actually had a chance??
Kitana : Skarlet is bad news, (Y/N)
(Y/N) : At least she actually likes me
Kitana : I did like you
(Y/N) : Your sister is obsessed with me
Kitana : She is hardly my sister
(Y/N) : Mileena was right. You are annoying
Kung Lao : You know you like me
(Y/N) : I tolerate you
Kung Lao : In my world, that’s the same thing
(Y/N) : I’m not interested, Kung Lao
Kung Lao : Kitana will never go for you
(Y/N) : I don’t need second rate monk to tell me that
Kung Lao : Why didn’t you just say you liked girls?!
(Y/N) : Even if I did like men-you would not be my type
Kung Lao : I’m everyone’s type
Kung Lao : So say if you did like men…who are you picking? Me or Liu Kang?
(Y/N) : You really want me to answer that?
Kung Lao : *sighs*
(Y/N) : Your friend may not pick up on my signing but tell him I am not interested
Liu Kang : Oh he knows but that won’t stop him
(Y/N) : Let’s see if a grave does
Liu Kang : I heard you have affections for Kitana
(Y/N) : Does that bother you, monk?
Liu Kang : I mean this in the humblest way possible, I am not threatened by you
(Y/N) : Mr. Chosen One
Liu Kang : You were always jealous of me, (Y/N)
(Y/N) : I wouldn’t be jealous of you if it bit me on the ass
Mileena : I can treat you better than my sister
(Y/N) : What are you gonna do? Eat me?
Mileena : Isn’t that what you’re interested in?
(Y/N) : Tell your father that I’m not joining his concubines
Mileena : None sense. You will be mine
(Y/N) : Holy shit
Mileena : My sister is missing out on you
(Y/N) : You’re implying that you have me
Mileena : Soon I will
Mileena : If I were Kitana, I would’ve picked you
(Y/N) : Smart and…a little freaky looking. I like it
Mileena : You will like more
Noob Saibot : We admire your skills in kombat
(Y/N) : Thanks dark shadow thing
Noob Saibot : But they will not save you from me
(Y/N) : People doubt me because I am deaf
Raiden : That is the advantage you have
(Y/N) : They won’t ever see me coming
(Y/N) : How come I wasn’t the chosen one?
Raiden : Are you prepared for-
(Y/N) : That sounds like too much work
Shao Kahn : You will join my concubines
(Y/N) : Read my hands. Hell no.
Shao Kahn : I wouldn’t be so convinced
Skarlet : You have infinite knowledge
(Y/N) : A blessing and a curse
Skarlet : Feed it to me
Skarlet : Your affections for Kitana are ridiculous
(Y/N) : Enlighten me
Skarlet : There are far better women in front of you
Skarlet : Your skills are far greater than a regular warrior
(Y/N) : Aw. You flirting with me, Skarlet?
Skarlet : I cannot resist
(Y/N) : Not gonna lie, you do look good in red
Skarlet : I am flattered, Psychic
(Y/N) : Baby, I can give you more than flattery
(Y/N) : Keep your boyfriend in check, Blade
Sonya : Keep your ego in check, deafie
(Y/N) : You did not just call me that
Sonya : Stay away from my daughter, (Y/N)
(Y/N) : She’s the one glued to me, moron
Sonya : I don’t know what you just said but I’m gonna kick your ass anyway

Ever since I found out what happened to Hanzo, I've been really upset, not just as a Subscorp fan, but also as a huge Hanzo fan.
When I saw Smoke's ending, I was very disappointed. In fact, Kuai Liang's ending made me sad too. First of all, I would like to ask NRS why Kuai married Harumi if, since her introduction into the story, she has always been Hanzo's wife. If the intention was to give Kuai a love interest, wouldn't it be better to create an entirely new character or let him have a relationship with a playable character?
If they specifically chose Harumi because she is part of the Shirai Ryu, wouldn't it be better to put Hanzo in her place? After all, he was the grandmaster of Shirai Ryu in the previous timeline.
I don't understand why they assigned this role to Harumi, when it could easily be given to Hanzo, who has been a playable character in the franchise since launch. I also didn't understand why Harumi married Kuai Liang. Harumi was Hanzo's wife, this was literally his only role in the story, she was part of Hanzo's construction as a character.
I can't like the fact that they excluded Hanzo from the creation of Shirai Ryu, as the clan revolved exclusively around him.
It may seem silly, but to me Hanzo was disrespected in every way possible. He is one of the 7 original characters and received an animated film dedicated to him. You might think "but all that attention wasn't necessarily given to Hanzo, that attention was given to Scorpion". Yes, I understand your point, but that Scorpion is intrinsically Hanzo. The development of Scorpion stemmed from Hanzo's story about losing his family and clan. In Mortal Kombat X, he stops being a wraith and returns to being completely Hanzo Hasashi. In Mortal Kombat X comics, he restores his clan (and unfortunately sees his clan massacred again). In Mortal Kombat 11, he has an excellent redemption arc as he fights alongside the good guys and tells his past self to give up undisciplined revenge.
So, I ask: why give everything that made Hanzo Hanzo to another character?
I have no problem with Kuai Liang being Scorpion. He can have Hanzo's gameplay, weapon and powers, that's okay. But why erase Hanzo from his clan creation and not allow him to have Harumi and Satoshi?
For example, Mileena was finally able to have a family, now she is loved by her sister. But why can't Hanzo have everything he wanted most (Harumi as his wife and Satoshi/Jubei as his son)?
This seems unfair to me. They gave Kuai Liang characteristics of another character. I know that in the new era, the characters have new origins, but they simply gave everything Hanzo had to Kuai Liang. They could create a really new origin for Scorpion Kuai Liang, but they simply discarded elements of Scorpion Hanzo's lore and gave it to him.
Hanzo became a homeless teenager, probably an orphan, he probably continues to suffer, when he could be happy next to Harumi and their son, commanding the Shirai Ryu side by side.
As someone who has been following Mortal Kombat for years and dreams of seeing Hanzo finally happy, it hurt my heart to realize that having what he always wanted is impossible even in Liu Kang's timeline.
If they don't want to change too many things, they can just say that Hanzo and Harumi are a couple and are friends of Kuai Liang's family. Hanzo and Harumi welcome Kuai and Tomas to Japan and help found Shirai Ryu. The boy that Smoke finds on Harumi's property could be Takeda, who was born from an affair between Kenshi and Suchin, just like in Mortal Kombat X comics.
I understand that a new era shows new perspectives and is different from the previous era, but what happened to Hanzo was disrespectful, it was a disregard for the character.
Kitana is still daughter of Sindel & Jerrod, Kuai Liang & Bi-han remain brothers, Tomas grew up with them like in the previous timeline, Mileena is still dating Tanya, Suchin is still Kenshi's love interest (he mentions her in intro dialogues)... So why can't Hanzo marry Harumi and be Satoshi's father? Why they hate him so much?
I'm indifferent to Hanzo and Harumi as a couple (there's not much to think about them, Harumi is an NPC and all her appearances before MK1 were just flashbacks or mentions). The point is that Hanzo suffered for eons over the death of his lover and his son, he would do anything to get them back, this has been demonstrated so many times. I just want him to have the life he always wanted.
And honestly, was it really necessary to give Kuai Liang a completely sudden love interest? He spent 30 years single, why is this out of the blue?
I'm very frustrated with all of this. Hanzo was reduced to an insignificant role in the story (even though he assumed the mantle of the most famous character in the franchise for 30 years), the writers decided to shove Kuai Liang into a random and unnecessary romance, we will probably never have Subscorp again (yes, I know we have a lot of content from them, there have been three decades of many interactions and moments between Kuai and Hanzo, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to having more of them in the new era).
Please do not take this as a criticism of Kuai. I think he was also a victim in all of this. They didn't need to discard elements from Hanzo's old lore and give it to him, Kuai is already a well-written enough character, I even think that his part in MKX comics, where he destroys the cyber initiative and takes leadership of his clan, is the most amazing thing I've ever seen, his transition from a boy who lost his brother to a Grand Master is sensational. He didn't need it. Each character has their individuality, no matter what mantle they take on. For example, when Kuai became Sub-zero after Bi-han's death, he had his own story. Bi-han, now Sub-zero again, appears to have his own story as well, quite different from Kuai Liang's and quite different from his own in Mortal Kombat (1992), Mortal Kombat II and Sub-zero Mythologies.
Anyway, that was just a rant. I have a lot of attachment to Hanzo as a character, so seeing what happened to him is something that really frustrates me.

Imōto
Something that I casually work on because i love Jakeda so much.
When Jacqui Briggs Takahashi took stock of her life, she realized that, despite the traumatic events, she was pretty fortunate.
She was comfortable in her skin as an Alpha, satisfied with her career, married to an amazing man, beat the odds to have a beautiful daughter with that amazing man, and perhaps most importantly, was able to contribute to her father finding light in the world again.
Her life wasn't perfect but it was manageable. For the first time in a very long time, she and the people in her life could focus on happiness, not solely on survival.
Tonight, she was sitting on a swinging bench, in the most comfortable kimino, overlooking a small waterfall with her husband. Her father offered to take Makaira for the weekend and suggested that they take a trip, courtesy of his new boyfriend, who still blushed deeply at being referred to as such.
Jacqui loved being in Japan, loved seeing Takeda comfortable in his childhood home amongst the Shirai Ryu. Hanzo Hasashi was the ideal father-in-law, always welcoming with such comforting pheromones that stayed with her, no matter where she was in the Fire Gardens. His love easily grew to embrace not only Jacqui, but Makaira as well.
Kuai Liang was much more reserved but a true Omega who clearly pushed past his discomfort to try being as warm and welcoming as Hanzo. Jacqui remembered that flicker of warmth present when they first met. Now, it was a full flame, cautiously extended to everyone in Hanzo’s life. When Jacqui thought about how good they were for each other, she wondered if she and Takeda were selfish for loving each other and not finding Omegas to help.
I don’t care if it’s selfish. I love you. Takeda smiled as he touched her knee, then pulled her close.
How dare you trespass in my mind, she thought, wrapping her arms around him.
I can’t resist a beautiful mind.
Takeda and his cheesy lines. Should we go find Hanzo and Kuai and invade their dinner plans?
His pheromones muted as he stiffened. Just for a second before he caught himself. No, they’ve got the baby now…
Lì-Yán, Jacqui corrected. And they could probably use some help with her. Or at least some company.
Hanzo never said it, but Jacqui caught on to the fact that Kuai Liang wasn’t doing well. Pregnancy was a unique experience and the months afterwards could be a hell that she wouldn’t wish on anyone. She got through those months with loving family, supportive friends, and the luxury of preparing for it during her pregnancy– Kuai Liang got the short end of all of that. He had to put all of that to the side to save the realms.
“I’m sure they’re fine. Hanzo finally has his own kid, I don’t want to disturb them,” Takeda mumbled.
Hanzo, not “Papa-san.” Jacqui sat up and pulled his head to her chest. “Takeda, don’t say that, babe.”
“Well, he’s not my dad,” he insisted. “My actual dad chose to fight a crime syndicate rather than stick around for me… and still isn’t interested in sticking around for my kid, clearly. and Pap– Hanzo has his own kid to think about.”
Takeda pulled away from her and hung his head. “He shouldn't have to keep taking over for my dad. And I don't want the baby to miss out because he's trying to fix me.”
“Lì-Yán. It’s okay to say her name,” Jacqui teased.
His pheromones became heavy with the scent of rainfall. She was sorry immediately. “I know, Jacqui.”
“Sorry,” she offered, squeezing his arm.
“I know it doesn’t make sense but… so much changed when Ice Pop came into the picture…”
“Like us getting pregnant and moving in with Muscle Dad?”
“Just… for so long, everybody was so afraid of Papa-san. So it would just be me and him. And then after the… Havik thing… it was just me and him. Chiyoko was there but she didn’t reveal herself to us for weeks… and…” He frowned as words fled his mind.
He was wary of Chiyoko at first. That she would distract Hanzo from rebuilding, from him. But Chiyoko was kind, despite the bitter ash of her pheromones and just as focused as Hanzo himself.
Hanzo Hasashi’s heart belonged to his wife, his Omega, his one true love. And the son who never grew.
Until that day Takeda knocked on his door and smelled another Omega all over the place. Then, the sweets that Hanzo ordinarily stored for Takeda became Kuai Liang’s. He had to swallow his pride and say he didn’t mind if Hanzo couldn’t officiate his wedding because of Kuai Liang. They never fished or sparred or did anything outside of Shirai Ryu duties because of Kuai Liang.
But it was fine because Takeda could at least cherish the fact that no one else got to be Hanzo Hasashi’s chosen heir. The pride of the Shirai Ryu.
Except now… the baby existed. Somehow. How did a male Omega have a kid? How did those two geezers–
Takeda quickly blanked his mind before his mind could take him into the place where his platonic sexual questions were intercepted with his platonic acquaintances.
The baby was all he ever heard about. Even in America. Watching Kenshi dote over Makaira– when he did show up– was hard enough. But hearing him discuss Hanzo’s baby and referring to her as his niece– it was the final straw. The baby came in and ruined everything for him.
And he was so stupid to still be so stuck on Kenshi. He was supposed to let it go. To either forgive or shun. Every time he thought he was close, he saw his mother’s worried face telling him it was time to go and he had to go alone.
“Hey.” At some point, Jacqui had pulled his head onto her chest. Now, she was patting his arm and sitting him up. “You look like you could use some air.”
“We’re already outside.”
“Some different air. Let’s go.”

Ok but Hanzo trying really hard to keep his relationship with a young Takeda as being strictly student and teacher, trying so hard to not grow attached to the child he’s suddenly found himself charged with, solely focusing on protecting and training the boy for when his father eventually returns for him. Then one night as they sit by a fire after survival training in the woods, his small appearance dozing off and using him as a pillow, a warmth that he hasn’t felt in such a long time washes over him and he realizes: Fuck, he’s a dad.
This kid is his son, has been for a while, and it scares him. It scares him because the last time he had a son, a family, he failed them. He failed to keep them from harm and he paid the price for it. He vowed to get revenge and failed at that too and now his heart has started replacing them because he can’t remember his son’s laugh or his smile or his voice. Takeda’s is the only thing his mind’s eye can conjure. He feels horrible but at the same time can’t help but think of how much his wife and son would have loved this boy as much as he does. Because he does. He really, truly, does love this kid.
And suddenly Hanzo Hasashi is very human again. He’s terrified and vulnerable and will move mountains and start wars for this small child who has been through so much pain already. He’ll do it because Takeda’s his son and Hanzo’s his dad and he will keep any and all harm from finding the boy ever again because that’s what dads do. And when Takeda does grow up to become the youngest member in Shirai Ryu history to ever achieve the rank of Chujin and goes off to help take down a mad god and falls in love, Hanzo beams with pride because that’s his son. Kenshi is the boy’s father, sure, but Hanzo is his dad.

Lin Kuei Satoshi AU, thanks to @jocelynhealy for the convos that have helped inform this AU
We all know that the old Lin Kuei were a bunch of cruel fuckers so what if they kidnapped Satoshi instead of killing him, training him to be Lin Kuei?
He'd probably be too young to actually succeed in running away and would be trying his best to survive, and I think that Kuai Liang would see too much of himself in the kid to turn a blind eye and so would take him under his wing and try to plan an escape for him. Satoshi eventually becomes his apprentice under the moniker Dragonfly and views Kuai Liang as the only ally he has, the cryomancer treating him with kindness and protecting him as best he can.
Then Bi-Han dies, so Kuai Liang and Smoke leave the Lin Kuei, taking Satoshi with them as it is his best chance at an escape, given that Scorpion is the only living Shirai Ryu that anyone knows of. Satoshi and Kuai Liang both end up getting captured, with Satoshi never finding out that Scorpion is his dad. Satoshi escapes before getting cyberized and ends up trying to live a normal life after a while. The Lin Kuei imploded and everyone thinks he's dead so why not?
Eventually he hears that someone going by his father's name has refounded the Shirai Ryu, but he refuses to believe that it is his dad because if it was, why didn't he look for Satoshi? (Bc he thought you were dead, dumbass) and so he investigates.
Upon finding out that it is his dad, who adopted two children (Takeda and Fox who isn't dead bc fu NRS) and allied with the Lin Kuei (though he doesn't know who leads them now) he's pissed off and swears revenge, attacking the Kombat Kids every chance he gets to try and get to Takeda and Fox, until he runs into his father who tries to stop him, freezing when he realizes who it is. Satoshi runs, not wanting to face that and as soon as Kuai Liang finds out, he goes after him.
Kuai Liang knows him well enough by now to know where Satoshi would go to hide, finds him, and tries to talk some sense into him, leading to Satoshi attacking and Kuai Liang refusing to defend, continuing to just talk and tell him about how much Hanzo has been grieving Satoshi and Harumi, the things he does to honor them, how much he misses them both. Satoshi refuses to believe it and knocks him out, dragging him back to the Shirai Ryu compound.
Once there, Satoshi challenges his father to Kombat, intending to kill him. By now, Hanzo has been around Kuai Liang enough to know that this is how Lin Kuei settle arguments (and doesn't that just break his heart, that his son is Lin Kuei as little as either of them wants to admit it) so he agrees, and also refuses to defend or fight back as his son attacks.
Satoshi is just screaming at him, demanding that he fight back, but Hanzo refuses to raise a hand to him, no matter what, leading to Satoshi just breaking down crying as he clutches at his father, who immediately wraps him up in a hug (even though Hanzo is so injured that it is agony to do so, he won't let go) and just holds him through it.
Eventually, the three sit down and talk it through, discussing what has happened in the years they've been separated and relearning each other.
And Satoshi comes home.
