If you could be a supernatural character, who would you be?

The ghost of a woman who loved deeply but was killed by her husband when he fell under the control of a succubus. After coming into contact with the spiritual realm, I decide to stay on earth and help hunters save people from things that haunt the night. When Sam and Dean run into me, they first want to kill me until they realize that, like them, I'm only there to protect a family from suffering a bad fate. 🤭 We bond over our common values and continue to work together. Not sure how the story ends just that I'm someone who loved deeply and that's why fate led me to protect others. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Something about finding strength through love and conquering all odds.

Though, I guess, sticking to type, I could also be a sexy spy. 🤣 One that kicks ass and loves high tech gadgets and maybe I've never dealt with the Supernatural before but a case leads me down a path that intersects with some deep, dark, world threatening stuff and the Winchesters. So I end up having to catch up and save the world and maybe even fall in love with someone I never would imagine was right for me. (Sorry, couldn't resist, I just always wanted a happy end for Dean) 🥰

the fact that eric kripke isn't even christian really adds something to the way christianity is depicted on supernatural. because its really not about being christian at all, but about living in america, a country dominated by christianity, and having to decide for yourself how to handle that. faith is huge in supernatural, and the mythology of the show is very bible-centric, but notably, christ is never there. even sam, who starts out revering the angels, who once said he prays every night, doesn't actually call himself a christian or imply that he believes in jesus--the show is steeped in christianity and biblical lore and yet neither sam nor dean are christians. in fact, over and over again the church itself is depicted as a haunted house that sam and dean will only ever enter as strangers, as outsiders. priests, preachers, faith healers, chapels, crypts, etc. are all just iconography that create an intense sense of unease that sam and dean respond to instantly. as a jew, its very relatable. an essential part of living in america when you're not christian is that exact sense of unease, of knowing that the culture of your country has ensured that you'll get knocked over by christianity no matter where you go, that you'll see hundreds of people truly believing they're good people while doing awful things in the name of their god, and you have no choice but to confront that. kripke gets it

Hey correct me if I'm wrong... but didn't someone mention IN SUPERNATURAL how an ordinary nephilim being born would kill the human mother? Like I'm pretty sure Cas was telling Kelly that even if was a regular nephilim the chances of her surving the birth was low so there was no way she would survive the birth of nephilim sired by an ARCHANGEL. But if that's true, how Castiel and the rest of Ishim's Flight/Garrison truly believe Lily had birthed a nephilim and lived. Especially since it was also mentioned that strange things would happen closer to the birth (I distinctly remember that and I'm 90% certain that wasn't just for Jack but all nephilim, it would just be extreme for Jack). Like I get Ishim is a 'good' liar I guess? But are you telling me NO ONE, part of the flight/garrison or not, didn't think for a second that something wasn't adding up?

You know, as a (kind of) new fan, I barely know shit about the full spn experience of watching shit unfold in real time—which obviously took years. When I was scrolling through Nov 5th tag, destielgate and all that, I found a fairly huge amount of people shitting on Andrew Dabb, especially for writing the finale. And I got curious about this infamous writer guy, like what else did he write?

Like obviously, none of these episodes are perfect. But these includes HUGE destiel scenes—like pivotal moments that greatly affects the relationship and it’s development and how the audience view it. And so much of these are obviously, blatantly romantic. As explicit as it can be. Like the direct canon couple parallels? At least THREE times? You’re telling me this man is responsible for The Lovers Quarrel ft. Suffering Sam in season 8? “I’ll watch over you”? The Dean/Cas - David/Violet parallel???? Cas’ deleted personal heaven???? “Don’t lose it over one man”????? Cas giving up his Angel army for one guy?????? The Dinner Date?????? The Sam/Jess - Dean/Cas - Claire/Kaia parallel??????? The climax of Cain/Colette - Dean/Cas Mark of Cain plot line??????? “You know, I always thought I could be a good dancer if I wanted to be”???????? The PURGATORY REUNION?????????? The start of THE FUCKING WIDOWER ARC?????????????

The Fucking. Widower. Arc. The stark contrast between that and Cas being barely mentioned in 15x19 and 15x20???????? Listen—and I’m just spitballing here—but what if this guy isn’t the fucking problem. You cannot convince me that someone who wrote all that, who contributed to all that, does not fucking see it…
