everyday i think abt the differences between how superfam and batfam interact. And how it translates into their relationships with 3ach other

how clark is SO fucking lonely sometimes and how he keeps people at arms length and how most of the time like maybe 5 people know both his identities and . fucking. his BASE is called the fortress of SOLITUDE. Whereas the batcave, while still exclusively, is.. shared! Like Bruce is rude and mean and a lot of people in Canon do know his identity and it's like. So many thoughts

Like.. its about how deeply he wants to be normal and how he's afraid he'll hurt people and how that restraint and fear is baked into his very soul and it's about how much TRUST he has in someone to tell them his secret identity because he's spent his life hiding it and leading a double life that very very few people actually know about. Whereas almost fucking everyone in the batfam knows who batman is and it's like.

It's about how clark's so friendly and open and he uses that to keel people at arms length !!

Like people talk abt bruce being a loner but like. In Canon, he usually does work with people! He has an entire family of people who do vilgante stuff with him and keep in contact with him, for better or worse.

But Superman usually! Works alone! Like yes superfam is a thing but they very rarely interact with each other and unlike batfam who are connected, through love or through malice, superfam is a group of people who are connected but don't really talk to each other all that much and they're all very repressed. They're just better at covering it up.

First time for everything (or the time when Batman slept on the job) by PinkGold - Superbat, complete. A lovely fluffy fic about Batman being sleepy and Superman taking him to bed.

sever the blight by TheResurrectionist - Batfam, complete. The JL and Batkids get stranded on a planet with little to no food. Bruce gives his food rations to his kids. Much angst, especially for Superman :(

Patchwork Pod by Ktkat9 - Superbat, wip. More mer Bruce fic! More adorable sheep!

Broken Bones by Elegitre - Batfam, wip. Wing fic! Baby stalker Tim gets and injuried wing when stalking his favorite vigilantes. Luckily, Batman and Robin are there to help.

Double, Double, Toil and Trouble by HummusandPeeta - Superbat, complete. Bruce gets cursed by a witch, and for some reason, Clark starts to get sick.

reap what you sow by ShowMeAHero - Superbat, complete. Clark gets kidnapped and ransomed. Bruce (not Batman) saves the day.

Just A Little Bit... by HaleHathNoFury (My_Trex_has_fleas) - Superbat, wip. An update to this Alien Clark and Eldritch Bruce fic. The batfam is reunited, but Clark finds out Lex has been doing some Shenanigans.

gentle but overwhelming by OkayAristotle - Superbat, complete. Bruce gets severely injured, Clark goes a little overboard with the "Get Well Soon" flowers.

we shall be free; we shall find peace by mediant - Superbat & Superfam, wip. Clark and Kon have a talk, Lex sends Clark on a mission to bug Bruce Wayne's computer. I am chewing on my nails, I'm so nervous (and excited!!!) to read what happens next! :D

The Brothers Wayne by HaleHathNoFury (My_Trex_has_fleas) - Superbat & Batfam, wip. Bruce is still freaking out about his brother (Wade Wilson) visiting the manor. Kate stops by to (not) help, heehee.

The Big Night by Elegitre - Batfam, complete. Bruce finds toddler Tim wandering around alone at a gala. He falls in love with this lost child instantly. But where are Tim's parents?

KinnPorsche characters and their fav superheroes.

Porsche: Superman stan. Nightwing stan. Robin stan. All those sunshine heroes are his favourites. Ships Superman and Lex Luthor and makes Kinn promise him to cosplay together as that couple on Halloween. "I'm not shaving my head Porsche. Not even for you." "Kinn babe I would murder anyone who tried to touch your lovely locks. You just wear your daily attire and look like an evil businessman." Makes Chay dress up as Kon to stand between him and Kinn. "Who's Kon? I don't remember." "Kiiinnnn baaabbeee!!! He's Lex and Clark's son!" "Hia are you sure you want to marry him? He doesn't even know basic superfam lore."

Pete: While he doesnt believe in heroes and villains, Batman is the one person who makes him a believer. "If batman ever wanted to kill me, I would give my head to him on a platter." Fantasises about Batman flying in from one of the ceilings to put a stop to their evil misdeeds. Always has a small notepad ready for his signature. If he's going to jail, he'll go with Batman's signature! Also secretly obsessed with Joker which explains so much in regards to Vegas... and batman.

Porsche and Pete have regular comic reading sessions together. They have also introduced Tankhun to superhero movies. Murder people by day, fanboy over good guys by night.

Kinn: Used to read comics when he was young and loved Wonder Woman. "Now I'm one of the people who she puts in jail." Awkward silence.

Never discovered superbat fanfiction or AO3 until Chay finally shows it to him. And that's how the theerapanyakul mafia business came to an end because the boss got obsessed with reading about superman and batman fucking.

Vegas: Has never picked up a superhero comic in his life. Jealous of batman because Pete shouldn't be that crazy for anyone but him. Threatens people in comic book stores to hand over the limited edition comics and merch for Macau. Somebody pulled a plastic lightsaber on him once in retaliation and Macau and Pete barely stopped him from pumping that person full of bullets (let's imagine that was Sheldon Cooper).

So I just found out about CassKon and they're really cute (I'm late I know but tbf I raged quit DC comics a long time ago and i've hardly seen the fandom talk about this ship) and I learned today that in a side comic Clark's love intrest was basically a female Bruce.

This furthers my belief in the Wayne family alien kink

DC just needs to let the Waynes be happy with their Kryptonian/Tameranean/new alien species lovers
