Of course! Spinner isn’t someone I’d normally write for so I hope this list isn’t out of character!

Spinner headcannons

Spinner struggles a lot with his self worth. He is extremely self conscious and has a really hard time opening up and being vulnerable

He isn’t hard to get to know though, with a bit of persistence he’s putty in your hands

Spinner loves hard and hates even harder, if you’re close with him he will show you acceptance, love and care unlike you ever experienced, but if you hurt him he will never forgive you.

A date night with Spinner would include a cheesy movie, some Mario cart, and a lot of blankets

Being a humanoid lizard, he absolutely hates getting cold, so if you’re in a relationship he’s always going to have his hands on you. He’s a cuddly guy by default, you’re just so warm— he can’t help it.

If you two were to ever have an argument, he’d apologize immediately. He’s not the kind of guy who would let anything hang in the air for too long. If there’s an issue— you’re going to resolve it then and there, even if you don’t want to.

He isn’t a cat or dog guy— if he had to choose a pet he would 100% want a bird just because of their long life span and clingy behavior. He could not handle outliving his pet whatsoever.

Spinner is protective to a fault, he’ll let you do whatever you need to do or want to do, but he’s jealous— oh my god he’s jealous— please keep his best interest at heart.

He loves cooking, if you were willing to cook with him he’d be on cloud 9.

Your favorite foods will become his favorite foods, because just seeing you enjoy life is enough for him

Even with how soft he is, he’s still a villain, so he’s not above hurting or even killing someone who hurt you (though he would always ask for your permission first)

He will find you random trinkets. He has no idea how to gift you or what you’d like (no thoughts, head empty) but he will try. Usually it’s snacks he think you’ll like or new books he manages to find that remind him of you.

He snores, and he snores LOUD.

He loves showing off to you, he’ll do funny moves with his katana and create collateral damage in the process just to make you laugh

Speaking of laughter, he absolutely LOVES the sound of your laugh. The way your cheeks round up when you smile, the perfect imperfections of your teeth. Bonus points if you snort when you laugh too hard— honestly everything about you gives him butterflies.

Expect random dance parties, this includes slow dancing, head banging, and general silliness.

Practically everyone even associated with the league has heard from him about how good your cooking is.

He’s your main hype man

He also appreciates how you try and help him when he’s having a rough day mentally.

And how you try and calm him down when he feels like he’s splitting.

He really appreciates that.

He’ll try and help you bake sometimes.

so...snape fans have speculated where cokeworth is located in the england map or what it's equivalence would be. i've seen people speculate it's probably up north perhaps. maybe snape's a northerner.

however.

it's been stated multiple times that cokeworth is in the midlands. so we're thinking northampton, shropshire, stoke, birmingham.

but i prefer to think it's in the black country. mainly for these reasons:

1. cokeworth is an industrial town, even if spinner's end seems mainly abandoned, and the black country was the birth of the industrial revolution.

2. the black country was known for steelworks, glassworks and cokeworks which is maybe where the town got its title from.

3. the black country suffered from high unemployment due to the closing down of a lot of industrial sites in the 60s and 70s which ties into the idea of spinner's end being practically desolate now, and also the strain on the snape's household's economic position.

4. petunia met vernon dursley and marries him. his job was being the director of a firm that made drills. which are made of steel. steelworks anyone?

5. which leads to my last and favourite theory; petunia marrying vernon who perhaps also came from the black country then decided to name their child after something close to home. a nearby town perhaps - dudley.

A/N: im in so so so much pain. wrote this because im lonley and would kill to have one of these beautiful characters to aid me. these would be longer if i wasnt so delirious rn. (not proofread)

Dabi knows what to do but also does not. 

hes been through a lot of painful situations wheres hes needed to take medication, and most times he isnt even able to take any. 

hes trying his best to comfort for you in his own little warped way. 

"Hey, sit back down" Dabi snaps at you in annoyance as you attempt to leave your bed, and rolls his eyes at your mumble-whining. "You're delirious right now, don't argue with me."

he makes sure that your night stand is always replenished. hes like a little nurse and even in your medicated haze, you find it super cute.

♱ you cant tell him that tho… he'll get pouty. not something you hate but its the bratty behavior that follows it.

gives you tons of forehead kisses because he cant give you cheek ones cuz of your swollen cheeks. 

its practically killing him he cant just cup them while theyre big the way they are. 

is definitely teasing you as he takes care of you. sometimes putting stuff out of your reach or eating a burger in front of you knowing you wont be able to do that for a couple of days. 

"Fine fine, say ahh-- oh wait." Dabi snickers. 

he really thought he ate, huh? i guess he did (literally).

Shigaraki does not know what hes doing. 

"You want cuddles or sumthin'??" He tilts his head as you look at him with the most annoying puppy dog eyes you can muster up. 

he unfortunately believes that you could suck it up but we all know its because deep down he enjoys pain a little too much. 

is actually persistent on giving you your meds for you to heal with.

although dont expect it to be accurate all the time…. 

he isnt as attentive and usually drops by to spend some time with you since he doesnt want you to be alone too much. 

even with how awkward it is, he'll give you the "normal'' amount of affection and give your head and cheekbone area light kisses for you to feel better.

"You know I can go steal a way stronger dose right?" 

If you could frantically shake your head no you would.

he'll sometimes let you play video games with him so he can also keep himself entertained as well. 

he doesnt assimilate into your schedule like Dabi does but he tries his best to still help you no matter what.

Toga in a very odd way is ecstatic that youre in pain. 

♱ not like she isnt “odd” already,,

shes very excited to play nurse and help you heal. probably dresses for the part too.

"We'll get you back up on your feet in no time!"Toga declares happily, shoving a small spoon into your mouth with applesauce on it. 

is whistling or humming as she helps you out and somehow acquired some non-prescriptive cute glasses. she'll tilt them up or press them closer as she checks the doses. 

shes actually pretty on top of it (but you do have to double check if its correct because you know how careless she can be without ill intent).

she'll get you stuff animals and blankets for you to nap in. 

has it so shes sleeping over (not that thats new anyways).

gives you lots of affections but makes sure to be soft so she doesnt hurt you by accident.

if youre in any kind of pain, you can always count Toga be there to aid you. 

frantic. 

youd think with Spinner's cool demeanor would make you think otherwise but nope. 

hes clocking your schedule and making sure you got everything set. 

"You have everything for 12 pm right?" He checks in and takes your small little nod as a yes. He releases a small sigh to himself and leaves to take a tinkle. He let's out one of the most loudest sighs of worry you've ever heard from him. It's pretty funny when you realize he's been trying to keep composed this whole time.

unlike Toga, he has actual glasses. 

looks like such a grandpa taking care of you. 

youre so entertained by him that honestly it distracts you a bit from the soreness and the pain. 

he gets mopey when he cant cuddle you on days where youre in too much discomfort. 

has you basically nesting as you recover. 

a little all over the place? yes. would you still rate your experience with his 10/10? 

of course.

literally do not expect too much from him. 

with all Twice's sides it really differs on what youre getting that day (sometimes throughout if its a hectic 24 hours).

he is trying his best since he doesnt like seeing you in pain and gives you lots of kisses. 😭

idc what anyone says out of the whole league, hes the most caring. 

when hes attentive, hes on it. 

checking your temp, getting your foods, making sure you have your cool & hot pads. also has alarms so he can remind himself when to check up on you. 

unfortunately he doesnt want to seem like a bother so he tries to not to be too much in your space </3

he knows you dont mind but he gets self conscience as he normally does. 

even when hes not tending to you hes just chilling in your vicinity when you two arent interacting. 

he thinks he couldve helped you more but you think he did great. 

Mr Compress is all the extravaganza. you said calling in sick, bro heard "time to pamper and preform".

even if its the smallest things he'll give it to you in fun little ways so you arent bored out of your mind. 

♱ and also so you dont feel skipping out on doses and actually take them. 

you werent aware but this mf also has multiple costumes?? youre pleased to have learnt this. 

he is a show man after all…

of course he doesnt over do it, he wants you rested not overstimulated. 

is a very chill man to be around when hes not doing flip and tricks and you cant decide which of him you like more (you dont choose ultimately).

of course he has a little something up his sleeve to keep you on your toes but you cant complain with that. 

did he essentially treat you like a kid? yes. 

do you care tho? not at all. 

Kurogiri is the most put together out of them. 

(youre supposed to be surprised by this revelation.)

i mean, what do you expect from a man who has taken care of another man for years…?

makes sure youre doing everything so you can recover expeditiously. 

isnt doing all that affection stuff honestly. 

he drops in, replenishes everything you need and dips. 

he kind of treats you like youre sick and it lowkey hurts your feelings with how much he avoids you. 

in general hes give an average amount of affection so you sometimes have to speak up when he hasnt cuddled you for some time. 

even with all your requests he never seems bothered how much you ask and what you ask for. :')

he is pretty good but sometimes you wish he could be a bit softer (sue me).

imagine Toga but 2.0. 

Magne isnt as energetic and into the role of the 'nurse' but is very much still doting. 

feeds you in the beginning stages before you gotta remine them that they definitely dont have to. 😭

when youre feeling extra cranky theyll try and coax you into it (consensually ofc who do you think youre with?!)

"I know you don't feel like it but you'll feel much better once you take it." Magne rubs your shoulder as you whimper in pain, and presses a gentle and chaste kiss to your temple. 

even with how bubbly and outgoing they are, they are just as stern. 

is one to make sure youre having a laid experience while making sure your lazy attitude will not interfere with your healing process. 

makes sure to have a big celebration thing when you are fully healed and gives you all the cuddles that you may have missed out on when you were healing.

Giran's methods may be ghetto but he gets the job DONE.

this is fun, thank you for asking!

dabi: i think since he's a bit of an asshole he would at first try to some sort of... tease you about it? he's so nonchalant and aloof about any crap in his life, he assumes everyone around him are the same. well, it sure does sound like he's straight up mocking you, so when he sees how much this whole situation truly hurts you he finally stops. he doesn't like seeing you in pain, he claims that he doesn't care, but yeah he does. also, out of the three he's the best companion for a revenge. don't get me wrong, he'll happily help, but he won't do anything himself. this has some deeper meaning actually rather than his laziness. he believes it is important to not take the satisfaction from you, he knows the importance of this firsthand. this revenge is yours to take, it's your moment of pride. it's his gift for you, if you will. he'll help with planning everything tho. he's calculating and calm when he needs to be; very patient and can teach you a thing or two about waiting for the exactly right moment. sometimes he's almost too slow for your liking, but on the other hand everything he'd planned for you goes exactly like he predicted, so you better listen. due to his sadistic nature, he's not above playing with the victim, and he will teach you that too. big fan of creating suspense, some sort of pressure. like those old hollywood noir films come to mind. he will absolutely help to scare your poor ex from the shadows, slowly driving him crazy with anxiety. not only is he proud of your dark side shining so brightly, but he really finds it fun. depends on you, if you want for things to get really violent or not, but he'll at least try to persuade you to let go and enjoy the ride. and if you listen to him, things can get messy (only slightly, bc dabi really enjoys clean work and he's too lazy to go after anybody else than this scumbag). shigaraki could be annoyed for a day or two, but... actually, no, he won't be pissed at all. great job you two.

shigaraki: oh. he's beyond excited. not because of your suffering, of course, but bc now The Real Game begins. has his own ways to comfort you, the most obvious one being trashing you ex with the most degrading insults you may only think of. will never let you think that was your fault, he literally feels his blood boil every time he hears something like that. you don't even have to ask him to help you, one day he's suddenly in your room with an insanely throughout plan and most batshit crazy glimmer in his eyes, so you better take the chance while you can. he finds great joy in helping you by planning everything for you, it really is a new game to him. but this time he's doing it for a friend, for someone he finds dear, so he kinda wants to take the burden off your shoulders. unlike dabi, he will get involved directly in this mess, he doesn't think he's taking anything from you - quite the opposite. he's given you the opportunity. and, he probably won't admit it, but he's really willing to do all the work for you, if it's too painful for you now. he doesn't want to, but he could. buuut, he'd still rather wait (even though he's not a fan of waiting) and you do the main act yourself. he's not patient at all tho. he also prefers the revenge to be fast and brutal. not a fan of theatrics, he's a straight to a point kind of guy. also, unlike dabi, he absolutely will go after every single one person involved, jesus christ even your ex's parents included, this whole thing gets soooo messy omg. at some point it really feels like the whole city knows you were cheated on. he doesn't find it embarrassing at all, there's nothing to be ashamed of. at the very end, you'll be the one who's having the last laugh, so he's kinda right. whether you like it or not, things will get really violent when he's involved, and he won't stop until the last person who had offended you is down. he's like a hell hound, some sort of a death reaper. and even if your ex thinks he can escape, because he's the last in shigaraki's list, well... not really. no one can run away from shigaraki tomura, and in the end you find great satisfaction in this knowledge.

spinner: the only decent one who at least tries (once) to convince you not to do it. he does this mostly on autopilot, because he's a considerate friend. he feels nothing towards that shithead, but he's worried that you would regret it later. actually, the only one that expresses his worries about you to you, verbally. he's surprisingly good at communicating his feelings, and he feels awful for you, he really-really does. he doesn't want to make it even worse (even though he really wants to throw some particularly heavy things at some faces). when he's finally sure you won't change your mind, he's all about business. he's not a big fan of a bloodbath, but he believes in power public humiliation holds. sadly, he knows it firsthand. he's very meticious with all the blackmail and he's great with timing. the cleanest work one could imagine (only dabi compares, but he has understandably more experience). he too is great in driving your ex crazy with anxiety, but in a much more subtle way. he won't scare anyone directly, but his actions create a very negative, anxious environment to your ex. the whole thing is building up rather slowly, but consictently. if you want things to go a little more bloody, spinner may ask dabi or shigaraki for help actually, without revealing the main reason. it's still less messy if the whole gang was involved, but now it's definitely much scarier for your ex. he will set traps and will get your ex recorded, he will collect every piece of information he could find, and he will reveal it at the right moment. he's not above some fake leaks either - everything will work. he would definitely make sure that almost everyone in city knows your ex's dirty laundry. it's so not pretty in general, bc believe it or not, spinner is great at understanding people and how they think and behave. he knows that the crowd is always hungry and all he needs to do is to throw it a bone. it may even look like he's not done much, because it's your ex's surroundings who are tearing him apart, not you or spinner. as i said, he's not at all as sadistic as those two above, but he too will find some sick sort of enjoyment at the end. he really, really knows how it feels, and he knows very well that death can feel like a much more merciful option. living with such hate is a lot harder, than just dying, and spinner just proved you that.

My personal headcanon is that Spinner is a big fan of retro games.

When he was younger he could buy them at pawnshops and he didn't need the newest console or expensive computer to play them. He's also the person to give you an hour-long lecture about their influence on different genres.

Now he of course gets excited about every new release, but his comfort games still are Super Mario Bros or Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

So, I'm sitting here. Reading the new chapter of Play Nice rn. And I have to agree with Spinner. They are indeed the dumbest smart people and I LOVE SPINNER! I want more of Lizard boy! What are his hcs!? Why is this chapter an emotional Rollercoaster? How do you even write Shiggy so well?! I'll be back with more commentary

As for headcanons about Play Nice Spinner (CW: Racism, Self-Harm, Mental Illness):

As opposed to being a heteromorph, in this universe, I write Spinner as Hāfu - his Dad is black, and his mom is Japanese - although they gave him his Mom's last name for hopes that it'd be easier for him to fit in. (Spoiler Alert: It didn't.)

He also has some pretty bad acne scars.

Much like his canon counter-part, he grew up in a pretty rural town and experienced a lot of intense discrimination and bullying to the point that he ended up dropping out of school and becoming a shut-in.

His plan as a kid was to renounce his Japanese citizenship and go to America to join the military like his Dad, however, he ended up losing pretty much all of his drive and aspiration when he [REDACTED ¬‿¬ ]. In retrospect, it wasn't the right path for him and he's glad that he stayed in Japan.

He has depression and anxiety, but takes medication and attends regular therapy for both. He's doing pretty well on them.

He's very athletic! Really enjoys weight-lifting, climbing, and boxing (mostly shadow and with a bag). He used to surf with his dad as a kid and he'd like to get back into it.

He lives on his own in a studio apartment. He doesn't love it though and is considering finding a place with a roommate.

While Shigaraki is a Computer Science major, Spinner is a Computer Engineering major. He's just more of a physical, handy, get your hands dirty kind of guy.

I sense this question may come up, so I'll clear up right now, that he does NOT have a crush on MC. The story will not become a love triangle between them. He just would never let himself go there. If Shigaraki wasn't in the equation, he'd probably fall in love with her instantly, however, he can see really clearly the feelings and the growth they share between each other, and wouldn't dare come between that. So he genuinely does just enjoy her friendship and presence in his life.

Love the extra commentary my dude! I freaking live for it!! ^_^ And hahaha, that would be some delightful ironic justice wouldn't it? Maybe in a post-series one-shot lol. xD

It doesn’t take much to get spinner excited or flustered— holding his hand, placing your hand on his shoulder, he loves it all!

The one thing he loves more than anything else (in terms of touch) would definitely be chin scratches though! Especially when you guys are borderline homeless and out on the run.

With the lack of proper food and water, he’s going to deal with some stuck shed, usually under his chin, by his ears or his elbows, so when you help him out and alleviate some of that pressure, he’s in pure bliss!

Spinner is a passionate guy, he chooses one thing and one thing becomes his entire life unless persuaded otherwise. He’s going to need someone by his side that can bounce ideas to him, that way he doesn’t get himself in trouble

I’d like to imagine that he’s able to regrow his tail, and to cheer Compress up after his arm was taken, he goes out of his way to show this cool lizard trick to the league (it barely hurt and everyone had a laugh)

He can be broody though, if he’s ticked off he’s going to stay ticked off for quite awhile— refusing food, kicking rocks around or just sitting in a dark corner growing mushrooms.

Dabi I feel like if he told his dad at 16 he was there or atleast knocked something over he would've got endeavors attention and dabi would've acted the same Way rei acted before she broke but instead of hurting shoto he had a breakdown around the time endeavor tried acting like a good dad and dabi would've gotten therapy instead and got meds

I feel like he woudl be a special quirk doctor to help kids with harmful quirk or adults too

He saw shigaraki there for some skin cream to help his issue and they both hit it off well like they knew eachother.

Dabis legal name is touya todoroki but he uses his mom's maiden name touya himura

Toga says that kinda sounds like shimura so him and shigaraki are gay

His favorite icecream is and I quote 'blue flavor'

Toga would've been maybe a surgeon or vet liking surgery. When she was younger she met dabi cause her parents dropped her off at the hospital afraid of her and dabi let her live in a room and interact with others.

Maybe she'd be an assassin on the side

Spinner would be a martial arts teacher that one day got under attack by a villian so shigaraki saved him and brought him to dabis hospital on accident but anyways dabi could still handle it was just minor wounds.

He met oboro/kurogiri and they became close friends.

Oboro was Shigarakis teacher in class

Oboro/kurogiri he is a underground hero and teaches at UA like aizawa and mic they all talk shit behind others back like girl talk

Denkis his favorite and his relationship with bakugou and kirishima reminds him of him with his friends

SEASON 6 SPOILERS

Shigaraki

the two of you absolutely met while he was trying to kill you

he showed up at your apartment in the middle of the night and had you against the wall, four fingers on your face

you caught him off-guard when you smiled

“you heard me. do it. got nothing left to live for anyways.”

he just kinda recruited you after that

you’re quirkless but you’re good with all that techy shit

you’re able to hack into UA’s defenses and get them info that wouldn’t be available to them otherwise

he just kinda falls for you at some point

and you always kinda liked him

things move pretty slow, but he’s very possessive

you don’t realize this until about a month in

you were walking late at night when a group of guys tried to jump you

he was watching you and dusted them before you could even get a word in

bottom line, he loves you and he would do anything if it means protecting you from scumbags and heroes

anything.

Dabi

you met when you were kids

your dad was unintentionally neglectful, and he’d dragged you to some hero convention

endeavor dragged touya too

you were roughly 16, he was 17

you snuck off with him onto some secluded balcony to smoke some weed and you both just sat there

maybe you vented to each other, maybe you sat in silence

one thing stays the same though: neither of you were your father’s successors anymore, neither of you the star pupils

when he went missing, you really didn’t think anything of it. you weren’t close, but you still hoped he’d be okay

you met again years later, 21 and 22

a league member and the number one hero’s daughter

he found you in a subway, you were on your way home from a college class

when you got together, he kept you secret from the league

toga could absolutely tell something was up though

the league ended up on the run after a while, touya was always out trying to recruit people

that’s what the league thought anyway

in reality, he spent a majority of his time with you

after a while, after all for one took over shigaraki’s body, you touya didn’t visit anymore

you you found them during spinner’s very moving speech

everyone’s heads whipped toward you.

everyone was mildly confused and felt a little betrayed at first
