Ok so I just wrote down some notes about my ideas for how StarClan/ the Dark Forest/ the afterlife in general works for my fanclans so click below to get a lot of worldbuilding. If you want to shoot me a question, my inbox is open!

StarClan

- looks like the clan territories, but way bigger and more spread out with rolling fields between each territory

- sunny during the day, lit by starlight at night

- full of prey, has very nice, comfortably warm weather

- cats in starclan have specific appearances based on how they died

- cats fade very, VERY slowly

- cats who give lives to leaders or big prophecies to medicine cats fade faster

- pretty much any interaction with the living makes you fade a little more

- when a cat fades entirely they are reincarnated as a clan kit

- these kits hold a few memories from past lives when they are very young but they go away by three moons of age 

- at the center of starclan territory is the starpool

the Starpool

- huge hollow with a large, ancient tree on one side, mirrors the clan meeting hollow

- the pool is fed by three streams, each one stemming from a different clan's territory

- spiderleap, chatterstone, and asterheart live in the hollow and manage the starpool, keeping track of leaders' lives and and healer herbs

- a vision of the three current clan leaders is in the pool, with stars around their necks that represent how many lives they have left

- swimming into the starpool transports a cat to the starpool domain (name?? idk)

- looks like salar de uyuni, it is eternally night and the water reflects the stars perfectly

- the only part of starclan a clan cat will ever see when they go to the starpool

- where healers visit during the half moon, leaders get their lives, and apprentices see before they get their name

the Inbetween

- border between starclan and the dark forest where a cat initially goes when they die

- misty autumn forest with tall yellow grass and spindly trees covered in red-brown leaves, sky is cloudy and white

- some cats stay in the inbetween forever by choice, where they turn misty and white (crowmask, birchstripe, winterdusk, icewhisper, etc.)

- a cat will go here to be led to starclan by their family or decide whether to either go to the dark forest or surrender their memories to go to starclan

- cats who might go to the dark forest talk to a dead family member, and if they regret what they've done, they become a kit or an apprentice in starclan and memories of their life feel like they happened to someone else

the Dark Forest

- huge, endless forest of tall, dead trees and bushes interlaced with wickedly sharp brambles, and mist along the ground

- no natural light save for a huge red moon in the crimson, starless sky

- ground is muddy and gross, and covered in snow for half of the year

- the only water is dark and weirdly oily and just generally gross

- cats are ragged and dark, with eyes that have glowing red pupils and blackened sclera, legs covered in muck, and old wounds from life black and oozing

- cats here don't fade and instead suffer forever

- most of them are pretty good friends and spend a lot of time hanging out in a rocky clearing together

I don't rly have a story or a lot of lore thought out for this AU yet, but I did want to keep Kirumi's undercover boss thing in. What I have right now is that she is the acting leader, but is hiding it for fun political reasons. Under her hair is a leader mark

Concealing it actually impairs her hunting and fighting by closing off half of her line of sight, but to her its just that important to keep whoever the old leader is as a figurehead.

For names I was juggling something like Silverweb or Spiderleap 🤔

I rlly wanna see your designs for all these new (renamed with dif parents) kits! Do you have any currently or are you going to draw them?

Oh I so wanna draw them anon but my tablet recently broke so I can't use it anymore! I have ideas for them definitely so I'll try to describe them as best as I can!

Fern and Tawny's kits are mostly named the same but are a little different. Also most are sire by outside cats but everyone but the first litter are still made as if Tawnypelt sire them just cause.

First litter is Spiderleg and Shrewpaw. Spiderleg (Possibly being renamed Spiderleap or Spiderfang instead cause why -leg?) who is a blue abyssinian with a few darker dapple spots and has spotted tabby legs instead of the regular tabby legs. Shrewpaw who is a ruddy abyssinian with the same spotted tabby legs and a white splash on his chest.

Their second litter is Hollykit, Larchkit and Birchfall. Hollykit was an amber cat who would've turned into a red torbie as an adult. Larchkit was a solid grey amber cat who would've become a light amber spotted tabby as an adult. Birchfall is a grey spotted tabby with white like he should be in canon.

And their last litter is Foxleap, Icecloud and Bramblingtail. Foxleap is either based on a cross fox (a solid black tortie) or a fennec fox (a light amber cat). Icecloud is chocolate tabby colorpoint like how she usaully is, maybe as tortie tho? Bramblingtail is a chocolate classic tabby with white who STRONGLY resembles his uncle and grandfather so Tawnypelt named him after her brother instead of her father.

Now the RowanBramble litters! Both litters are surrogated but still made as if they're sired by Rowan and Bramble.

Their first litter is Dawncloud, Flametail and Sparkfire. Dawncloud is a light amber bicolor and is the biggest of the first litter. Flametail is red and amber tabby chimera (cause I've seen that going around and it's so cool!!). Sparkfire is an amber broken tabby with a white flashes all over her pelt, was originally named Sparkpelt but changed her name after Flametail's death to honor him.

Their second litter is Alderflower(Alderheart), Goldenheart (Dandelionkit) and Tawnyrose (Juniperkit). Alderflower resembles his canon design but looks similar to his older sibling Flametail. Goldenheart is an amber classic tabby who resembles both her grandmothers, Goldenflower and Russetfur. Tawnyrose is a amber tortie with a perfect split down the face and an amber tail, resembles his aunt Tawnypelt.

First healers of the mountain Clans!

Asterheart: Formerly a rogue named Aster who got picked up by the travelling cats, along with his sister Hollyhock. He and Chatterstone had a brief fling during the journey and Chatterstone taught him a bunch of stuff about herbs and healing, but they eventually had to split up to become the healers of different Clans (GlenClan and PineClan respectively). It is because of him that healers can have mates if they have someone to take over for them if/when then have kits. 

Chatterstone: A fairly young but capable RiverClan healer whose mentor, as well as most of his Clan, died during the earthquakes. He taught Asterheart much of what he knew, and gave him his name when they first went to the Starpool. He died after getting caught in a battle between GlenClan and PineClan, and was the first of many healers to be buried in the valley between the two Clans. 

Spiderleap: Formerly the healer of WindClan before the journey, she joined RiftClan and was led to the Starpool while in a StarClan-induced lucid dream state. When she joined StarClan, she became the keeper of their Starpool and has the jobs of tending to the lives of leaders and choosing the herbs of new healers.

"Piggyback." 02 says, as he spiderleaps onto Koko's back. He's light but the metal in him makes him just a little bit heavy--but it's probably nothing to the Tapu.

“Piggyback? Okay!” After Koko said that, the diety shifted his weight to actually give 02 a piggyback ride rather than having 02 use him as a footstool.

Actually, now that he thought of it. Why didn’t 02 have a footstool when he’s so short? Probably something out of pride or whatever.

“Actually, how did your mug get on that high self anyway? Is Ace doing some brotherly bullying?”
