𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀・792 / 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴・felix x gn!reader / 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗲(𝘀)・fluff, established relationship, lots of kissing (again), a lil suggestive towards the end, inspired by his pictures from paris, which i am just. SOOOOOO normal about
“Careful, my love,” Felix murmurs, his huff of laughter tickling the side of your neck when he loops a wary arm around your waist. You first feel your weight lifting off the metal railing of the double-decker bus, then the taut warmth of your boyfriend’s chest as you’re pulled against it.
When you lift your eyes to look at Felix, you have to squint against the sun—or maybe it’s him that’s making it so hard to see, wisps of blonde hair framing his face like freshly spun gold, flawless features illuminated so gloriously that he looks like an exhibit in the Louvre come alive.
“What was that for?” You ask with a furrowed brow, and Felix doesn’t reply right away, suddenly captivated by your newfound proximity.
His gaze darts to your lips; the rest of him follows. You perceive a delicate finger under your chin, a deliberate angle of his head, a tensing of his hand where it slides over your hip. And then he’s kissing you, so sweetly that you’re reminded of whipped cream, his mouth melting your pout to a defenseless smile.
“You looked like—you were gonna—drop your phone.” These words are woven between three last pecks, the first placed to your lips, the second and third to each of your cheeks. Then Felix pulls away, only far enough for you to spot the teasing smile on his face. “Or fall off the bus. Neither outcome would’ve been ideal.”
“Did I really?” You giggle. “I didn’t even notice.”
“Yes. Or, I think so. I can’t remember anymore.” The tip of his nose bumps against yours lightly, affectionately, and you think your knees would’ve given at his next words if you weren’t literally wrapped in his arms. “God, you’re fucking beautiful.”
As you lift a hand to trace the contours of his jaw, to bring your fingers around the curve of his nape, you’re beginning to think they had a point, dubbing Paris the City of Love. You swear that his eyes have never been browner; that his freckles have never been so numerous; that you’ve never been as utterly and hopelessly beguiled with Lee Felix as you are right here, right now.
An idea surfaces—suddenly, surely. “Let me take pictures of you.”
A surprised chuckle rises to his throat. “Why?”
“Just trust me, baby.” And he does, with everything in him.
You untangle yourself from his embrace and settle into a seat on the other side of the bus. The next minutes are spent with him adopting various poses and postures before your lens, your fingers toying with the different lighting and focus settings as you attempt to capture him within the world of your screen—ironic, considering he’s a world in himself. The only one that matters; the only one that ever will.
When you’re finally finished, Felix is already motioning for you to return to his side, not wanting you out of his reach for a second longer than you absolutely need to be. You settle in Felix’s lap once you’re close enough—your legs hanging off the side of his seat, your temple leaning against his forehead—and the way his arms circle so readily and securely around your stomach feels like a cushioned fall.
“Tell me now?” He hums, planting a soft kiss to your cheek.
You heartbeat is in your ears as you start to flip through your camera roll. The pictures are perfect. He’s perfect. The princely man in the foreground of each puts even the stunning Parisian weather to shame.
“I wanted you to see yourself the way I do,” you whisper. “And only then would you really understand the meaning of that word, in its purest and brightest form.”
Felix feels his eyes widen; his breath catch in his throat. You hear the scratch of his interrupted inhale, and you're almost nervous when you turn to meet his eyes, despite your love feeling like it’s spanned lifetimes by now. And you know by his darkened gaze and flushed cheeks that he knows just which word you’re referring to.
Then, Felix closes the distance between the two of you again, but this kiss is completely devoid of the last one’s gentleness, open-mouthed, positively scalding, and intensely loving. Your lips sting a bit where his crash; your scalp tingles where he rakes a hand through your hair; your back shivers where the vibrations of his voice travel, his words nearly growled against your mouth.
“I love you,” he breathes.
Your palm comes to rest upon his chest, and the way his every heartbeat moulds to your touch is nothing short of classical.
“I love you more, beautiful.”

Family, meet family
Summary: After leaving the jujutsu world behind and moving away to start his family, Nanami Kento wonders if his kids will ever meet the people he considers his family back in Tokyo. fluff, time skip, everyone is happy and everything is ideal (just let me pretend and be delusional w me pls), nanami x fem!reader, the very end implies a big spoiler (a/n: for easier reading I will be giving the kids names but feel free to imagine another name if you'd like. and going along with the fact that nanami is a girl dad, he's got his girls in this story. the eldest is june and the youngest is kai. this will be what happened after the ending of my other story "All I ask, all I want". thank you anon for this idea, i hope you enjoy 🖤)
It was a busy day at the bakery and Nanami had taken the girls upstairs to get them ready for bed. It has been four years since Nanami left the jujutsu world and although he wanted to go as far as as he could to escape everything and everyone that could harm his family, your family settled in Iwakuni, Japan. It was a small city and not the secluded town Nanami thought he'd end up in once he had a family, but it was comfortable enough for Nanami to live in and a perfect sized community for his kids to grow up in.
Nanami had bought a newer built house for the family and surprised you when he said he wanted to add space to the house... for a bakery. You were a few months pregnant at the time he brought up this idea and as scary as it was to start a business during such a changing time, the sparkle in his eyes when he brought up the idea convinced you. He had the addition finished when your eldest was 3 months old and Ami Bakery was opened for business by the time she was 7 months old. Your house always smelled like bread from Nanami's trial and error baking and neighbors quickly flocked to the new bakery. You were both more than thankful for the business, but it did leave the whole family tired at the end of the day.
You finish wiping down the counter, turn off the lights, and lock the door from the bakery leading into the rest of the house. You hear very soft giggling from the girls upstairs and you smile while ascending the stairs and heading into their room, "It's time to sleep, close your eyes and stop giggling." Your three and two year old giggle a bit more before snuggling into their blankets and giving a soft ok. You lean down to kiss them goodnight before leaving their room to find your husband.
Nanami was sitting at his desk in your joint office with only a small desk light on and a small opened box in front of him. You close the gap and hug him from behind to look at what he's so focused on. Your head is next to his and you wait for him to speak after seeing the picture he's holding.
Nanami turns his head to kiss your cheek and begins, "June is learning about family trees at daycare. Mom, dad, aunts, uncles, grandparents... she asked if they had any aunts and uncles from me." Nanami tilts the photo in your direction, a beach outing that Gojo had insisted on. The first and second years were present and everyone was smiling or at least looking at the camera. Nanami is in the corner, but you could tell he stepped closer for the photo. "This is all I could think of. I have my family here, you and them... but they were my family too. This is their family, their aunts, uncles, cousins even if they'd like that instead."
He puts the photo down and grabs the Jujutsu pin from the box with a few more photos. You rub his shoulders and rub your face in his neck while you say, "Yuji hasn't called in a while, why don't you call and ask if he'd like to visit for a few days? He can tell the others and we'll set up the rooms for them. And we'll even put them to work in the bakery, they might bring in some more customers wanting to see their pretty faces."
Nanami laughs at the suggestion but shakes his head, "They're too busy. None of them can leave Tokyo for a few days right now." He sighs and puts the pin and photo back in the box.
You snuggle your face into the crook of his neck and ask, "What if we went to Tokyo instead? Besides Yuji coming down to visit and a couple calls with Megumi and Gojo, nobody else has had the chance to meet the girls."
Nanami looks at you, somewhat surprised by the suggestion of visiting Tokyo with the girls. He looks at the opened box and after a moment of contemplating, Nanami smiles and kisses your cheek again.
———
Nanami stops just outside the steps of the school and kneels down to eye level with the girls, "You need to tell me if you see something weird or if something scares you. Please, tell me if you feel uncomfortable and want to go, we'll leave immediately." The girls nod and impatiently jump to start ascending the steps.
Nanami had always wondered if the girls inherited anything. He didn't want them to see any curses and would exorcise any he would see before the girls even noticed. He never wanted the girls to know fear at such a young age and he'd protect them from it as much as he could.
He stands back up and faces you, "You need to tell me if you feel anything too. Even if you don't see it, I don't want you to be uncomfortable." He knew you were a non-sorcerer but he'd always check in with you for any bad feelings. You nod and smile to try to ease his worry and nerves from being back in Tokyo.
"Nanamin!" You both hear fast steps heading towards your family and you turn to see an excited Yuji running at full-speed.
Nanami steps away from the girls sensing that Yuji would jump on him as soon as he got close… and he did. Yuji was not small by any means and Nanami stumbled but he held him tightly as the young man wrapped his legs around his old mentor.
On the way to Tokyo, Nanami told you everything he knew about what the students were doing. Gojo would occasionally send him updates but Yuji was the one who would blow up his phone at least once a month with updates from everyone.
Yuji had graduated from Jujutsu High and was working as a full-time sorcerer with a few of his classmates. Megumi joined Yuji as a full-time sorcerer and both would go on missions while doing special field classes with the current students. Nobara was designing her own clothes and working as a photographer while in fashion design school, but would get called in if she was needed.
The students who were in their second year when Nanami left were in similar situations. Maki was still based in Tokyo but was planning to make her return to the Zen’in Clan soon, Yuta had returned to Tokyo and would often get sent to special overseas missions wherever needed like Gojo, Inumaki and Panda were working alongside Yaga and were very important factors to the current student’s education and training.
Gojo was still as Nanami described, “just Gojo.” Only this time, he would say it with a smile on his face instead of the annoyance previously there. Gojo had tried visiting before but those plans were always interrupted by some other thing. Nanami would smile and say it would happen next time, but you could clearly see his disappointment. He would spend those early mornings before the cancellations getting the girls in their best outfits and would make more of his special bread that was usually just reserved for you and the girls.
But now, even with the young man dangling on his body and putting more strain than usual on his back, Nanami was happy. He held onto his student - no, his friend, and would not let him go until Yuji himself got off.
“Itadori, get off of Nanami-sensei,” Megumi calmly walked to the group and slightly bowed to you and the girls.
Yuji puts his legs down and stands before leaving Nanami’s arms and going straight to you. You open your arms for him and he gladly accepts with a tight hug that’s followed by him picking you up and slightly wiggling you, “I’m so excited you’re all here! I have so many places lined up but you can choose where we go! And I have so much to tell you!”
You laugh and nod, the tight hug not really letting you speak. Yuji lets you go and you finally see his wide smile again. It’s the same smile he had when he first visited you guys in Iwakuni, healthy and happy. Yuji turns to the girls and kneels to open his arms. Megumi follows suit next to Yuji and extends his hand to give them a handshake. Kai turns to Megumi after her hug with Yuji and lifts her arms for him.
———
Yuji is carrying a giggling June on his shoulders while skipping. Megumi is carefully holding a quiet Kai who is just quietly staring at him like her life depended on it. “Like calls to like,” Nanami says while holding your hand and laughing at the scene of his kids all together.
You hear a few quick clicks as soon as everyone is entering one of the buildings on the grounds. You turn and see a young woman holding a camera. She stands straight and starts bickering with Yuji about them taking too long. She ignores Yuji’s last remark and goes to greet you both with a warm smile. She introduces herself as Nobara, and she is even prettier than the photos you last saw of her.
She shows you the photos she took of the girls with the 'idiots' and a photo of you and Nanami smiling at the kids, then hands you her card “for any future photographer needs.” She turns back around towards the girls and starts complimenting June on her beautiful hair and Kai on her beautiful light brown eyes. She tells the guys to let them down and points her camera at the girls. Nobara moves around while getting different angles before asking if they could go out to the yard for the natural lighting.
Down by the trees Nobara wanted to take photos at, a female voice called out for Nanami. You both turn and you immediately recognize the woman who once helped you as Shoko and the man who would always talk very highly of your husband as Ino. Nanami waved to Shoko as she returned a warm smile while Ino dismissed a few current students that were with them both.
"I'm sorry if you were in a class, I didn’t mean to interrupt anything," Nanami stepped towards his old friends and Ino reached for a hug. It wasn't the same clinging hug as Yuji but Ino had his eyes closed and was completely focused on the hug. After a hug that might've been too long for most people, Ino stepped away from the hug but was still laser focused on his old teacher. You could see his eyes drifting all over Nanami's face while he spoke. He was looking at his friend while he spoke, but noted the crows feet and smile lines that were finally being marked after decades of a stoic face, and his overall aging face. You knew that Nanami had noticed Ino's stare as well, his observation skills from being a sorcerer never departed and he noticed everything, but he knew better than to point out certain things. This was one of them, he did not mind Ino looking at every detail of his face... because he was doing the same.
Everyone was older. It was amazing to see the students get older, but seeing the people he grew up with get older even by a bit was a happy but grim reminder of the time that passed without each other. He was truly thankful that he could spend another moment with his family and friends after years of not being in the same space as them. It had only been a few years, but it was far too long for everyone.
Panda, Inumaki and Maki start coming down to the yard from the same direction that Shoko and Ino had come from. Panda starts a light jog towards the group and you hear an audible gasp from the girls after seeing a panda act like a human. Kai went to hide behind Megumi, or Goomi as she started calling him, and June went to Nanami's side while staring at the approaching Panda.
"Nanami-sensei, it's been a while," Maki smiled at you and her old teacher while swinging the staff she was carrying behind her arm.
"Salmon," Inumaki waved to the group followed by quiet giggles from beside Nanami.
"Salmon?" June giggled but still hid behind Nanami and kept an eye out for the panda.
After June's giggles as the trio all got closer, Gojo just... appeared. Despite Nanami telling you what Gojo could do, it was surprising to see anyone appear anywhere in a split second. "Well, looks like I'm the last one to the party." Gojo takes off his blindfold and puts on his glasses.
"Don't worry, we expected that," Maki waves him off and lightly grazes Kai's hand that's tightly holding onto Megumi. She might not be as playful or expressive with the girls as the other kids but she was trying to get close in her own way.
With Gojo's arrival, Nanami leans down to pick June up and motions for Megumi to pick up Kai and bring her to him, "I want you guys to meet someone," Nanami takes Kai from Megumi's arms. Holding both girls in his arms, he tells you to step closer before pointing his head to the adults and his old students that have now gathered as a small group, "Family... meet family."
June and Kai look at the group and start with small smiles. They both had opposite personalities but the girls were very warm with any new people they met. But June broke into a wide smile first, "Family?" Nanami nodded with a big smile and June turns back to the group, "Family!"
June reaches for Shoko's hand and she steps forward to playfully shake your daughter's hand while Kai lays her head on Nanami's shoulder. Gojo got close to Kai and stroked her back to get her to look at him. "I'm Uncle Gojo," he smiled at the little girl, "you can call me if you're in trouble but don't want to tell your parents."
"Gojo, she's two. And please don't tell my daughter that," Nanami sternly told Gojo but the small grin on his face made Gojo double down on the girls calling him for help.
Nanami puts the girls down so they can say hello to everyone and June takes Kai by her hand and goes to introduce herself and her sister to each person... and Panda. She left Panda for last but you could tell she was intrigued by him and would most likely keep going back to him.
Gojo pulls out his wallet, then a card, and gathers June and Kai to his side to explain how to use the card. Nanami stops him with a hand on his shoulder and shakes his head. Gojo shrugs, puts his card back but pulls out six 10,000 yen notes and tells the girls, "Uncle Gojo will give you more when he comes to visit. There's more where that comes from."
Nanami face palms and the girls look over the money and thank Gojo but give it to Nanami to hold. Shoko laughs behind Gojo telling him he needs to practice being around kids and Ino agrees saying that he'd have to most likely bribe Nanami's kids with bread instead. Gojo is promising that he'll keep trying to win the girls over and be their favorite uncle when Yuji runs in and tags Kai to play with him. Kai tags Megumi who then tags Yuji again and the three start to run towards the open space in the yard. June returns to Panda and Inumaki's side where Inumaki kneels down to compliment her dress... maybe. Without Nanami translating, it was hard to figure out what he was trying to say.
You step away from the group to start setting up the picnic you prepared underneath a large tree. Nanami had packed a variety of breads he wanted his family to try and some special treats the elderly neighbors had dropped off after they found out you were going to Tokyo to visit family. You're opening the basket and pulling out the bags of bread when you look back up at your husband.
Nanami's smile appeared much easier than before. His shoulders were slouched in relaxation compared to his stiff shoulders from his time as a sorcerer. And the soft and light stubble on his face was the perfect sign of a busy baking father who perhaps didn't have the time to shave, but had the time to do his daughter's hair and painstakingly choose every part of their outfits down to the socks.
Now it’s your turn behind the lens. You grab your phone and point the camera to the older group first. Nanami, Gojo, Shoko, and Ino are watching the kids and talking about something that was probably long overdue. You make a mental note to invite Gojo, Shoko and Ino to your house for a special dinner and adult night out with Nanami. They have been through enough together and individually, they deserved a fun and carefree night at the minimum. After a short video and many photos of the older group, you turn the camera to the younger group. Panda is throwing June up in the air before catching her and doing it again and again. Inumaki is his second pair of hands and has his arms stretched out to catch June at any given moment. Kai is running after Megumi while being chased by Yuji pretending to be a zombie. Nobara and Maki are watching from the side underneath another tree, laughing about whatever Nobara is showing her from her phone.
What a scene. What a beautiful, nonthreatening, completely content scene. Nanami was more than happy in Iwakuni, there was nothing more he would ever wish for, but he was happy to finally see his group again. You knew he regretted the last view everyone had of him as a limping man. He had wanted to walk out with his head held high, proud and an accomplished sorcerer, not the defeated and heavily scarred man who barely escaped death.
Today, Nanami would leave Jujutsu Tech as a happy, healthy, and completely fulfilled man while holding your hand as you both carried your girls back home. All with a promise to see his jujutsu family again in Iwakuni.

MY LOVE, MINE ALL MINE (Part One) - Taehyung x Reader
yandere idol! taehyung x reader
delusional taehyung, taehyung x reader, idol taehyung, bts x reader, yandere taehyung, taehyung is in loooovee
Part 1 - Part 2
The cameras, the blinding lights. It was all just too much. Smile.
Smiling on cue, Taehyung entered the red carpet and wave his hand before he moved towards the hallway where the cameras are not blinding him anymore. The hallway was packed with different artists and they were all throwing that same smile when he entered the room. Like they were out to get him, be with him, or take anything from him.
“Hi, Taehyung! So how’s the event for today?” A microphone popped right in front of his face, and the recording camera was behind the person holding it.
I just got here for fuck sake.
Taehyung smiled at the reporter, as if he was not caught off guard at all. “It was great. I’ve been looking forward to attend this Gala, and I’m glad that I got the invite so here I am.”
“Of course you’re going to be invited! You’re the Kim Taehyung. Everyone would want you as a guest. Well, I would.”
Cue, laugh.
Taehyung laughed a little showing his pearly white teeth, the reporter laughed along with him. And after the short (but long enough) interview he got to his seat, politely bows and smile, and if he was talked to he responded as normal as he could. He always skip the after party, and went straight home. Saying he can’t hold a drink and people would coo at him, but shit can he drink a lot. He just didn’t like people.
Especially drinking with people.
His therapist and PR coach had troubles training him when he first rise in fame. They both think that he lacked empathy and has antisocial tendencies. So his therapist begin to work with his inner mind and his PR coach work with his gestures. It was clear one was a success and the other was far from it, turned out empathy was not his strongest suit. But he still keeps his therapist around as a way to keep him silent.
When he arrived at his house, he immediately changed his attire to all black from the top of his head to his soles. He masked himself with a pair of glasses, mask, and a hat covering all of his hair. He took a peak from outside of his window. Perfect, he had thought as he looked at the grey sky. He called his driver to take him.
He went to a restaurant that he visited often, it was actually a walking distance from his house but he wouldn’t want to risk walking here and be caught by paparazzi. It was run by an old man, old enough that he never said anything to Taehyung and Taehyung wasn’t sure if he understood the currency because he sold the drinks in a concerning price. But Taehyung didn’t complain, he loved this place and to make sure the business is running he always pays double the amount. He sold traditional drinks and privacy, both of them are what Taehyung wanted.
The place was not an ideal restaurant whatsoever, deserted with no customer inside almost all of the time. Taehyung can only guess that the old man has no energy to do marketing or even interact with customers. Only sign he knew that the old man is still there somewhere was every time Taehyung came here he always points upstair, he’s guessing that the old man was letting him know his usual spot was empty. And Taehyung would just bow to it and ventured upstair.
It was a decent spot for him, a balcony where he can sit and there’s a long table on the railing. The view was quite nice and most of all quiet, just some hills and a little green but with city from a far. He heard the stairs creaked one by one slowly from the inside. The old man was getting up here. Taehyung was in no rush as he pulled up a pack of cigarettes and begin lighting one up. In here he paid no mind, no one’s rushing him.
Ting!
The old man finally arrived with the set of drinks that Taehyung usually drink. He bowed to him and the old man nodded before he headed back inside.
After a while he started getting tipsy, his body felt warm despite the cold weather from the rain. The scenery was calming him down and the quiet-
Ting!
The bell behind him chimes signing someone just opened the door to the balcony. Taehyung froze, the door never opened twice.
He lifted up his drink to his lips in a poised manner to make a sort of covering for the bottom half of his face. But before he turned around, a voice interrupted his hearing again.
“Sorry.” It said.
The person entering his view was a girl holding one bottle and one cup in her hands. She took a seat two seats right besides him, as there are only three seats including his.
She nodded in a polite manner towards Taehyung, which he nodded back with a drink still on his lips. But contrary to what he was used to, he was met with a nonchalant expression on her face. But he was no fool, there was a slight chance that the girl was a fan of him or a journalist.
To be cautious, he slides of his cigarette pack and lighter from his table.
“Hi, are you from around here? I never noticed anyone here before.” Taehyung started a conversation without fully thinking. But he was avoiding a future hassle, one where he would be portrayed as a cocky artist (worst, one who smoke cigarettes too, if she were to notice earlier).
“I’m not. This is my grandpa’s house,” she replied, casting a ghost smile without meeting him in his eyes. Her expression almost guarded as she didn’t seem like too happy to be talked to.
Taehyung was confused. He didn’t want to be rude either. He didn’t know what to do, he had never actually had an unprompted meeting with anyone like this and he didn’t have the thinking gears to read the room. It was his PR team’s job.
He bit his lips in a silent thought. The girl didn’t even look at him, and when she talked to him she wasn’t even facing him fully. Was she just aloof? or was she feigned to be one in order to get him. She seemed guarded for some reasons.
“Oh, the man from downstairs?”
“Yes.”
Silence. Taehyung was thinking what to say next. He didn’t know why he gave a ton of shit right now, but maybe it’s the fact that this was the only place where he can enjoy drinking and he was not about to give it up to some crazy journalists.
“I’m a frequent visitor here. He makes good traditional drink.”
“Indeed. Thank you.” She bowed a little, which Taehyung quickly respond to bowing back a little too quickly for his own liking.
“Where are you from?” He asked again, making sure his tone is super friendly, that friendliness was puking out from it.
“I’m usually, uuh, out there, but I stay with my grandpa when I’m in Korea.” She gave a curt smile.
Taehyung faked a gasp. He didn’t know if he should stop because it seemed like she was uncomfortable but he didn’t want to risk it either.
“So you’re serious when you said that you’re not from around here,” Taehyung said. “I see,” he said. He was at loss at what to say next, usually he was the one bombarded with questions.
Silence again.
“Sorry if I was bothering you, I just really liked it here. The place is nice.” It would suck if I can’t go here anymore.
The girl’s eyes widened. “No, no, no. Thank you for the bother- eh, I mean thank you for coming here. And liking the place. Shit.”
Taehyung laughed a little. It was actually funny for some reason. She was bothered but she didn’t want to admit that to him, and it was entertaining to him.
“My name is Taehyung. What’s your name?” Taehyung surprised himself as he reached his hand out for the girl to take.
“Y/n. Err, Jun- just Y/n.” She takes his hand.
Taehyung was beyond amused by her response. He also noted that her hand is cold and was smaller than his. Before he can think any further she let go of his hand pretty fast. He chuckled.
“Okay, just Y/n. I’m just Taehyung, guess we both have the same surname.”
“Hahaha,” she laughed. Her face has embarrassed written all over it, Taehyung smiled a little at being able to get her caught. “I’m Jung Y/n. Sorry.”
“And I’m Kim Taehyung,” he said.
“Nice to meet you, Jung Y/n.” And he didn’t know if he actually was faking it, at this point it was a surprise that he had meant what he said.
The girl laughed awkwardly. Taehyung was skeptical at first, but now he wasn’t sure anymore about what he thought before. He actually believed someone random that have a conversation with him is not a fan.
“So… why did you drink?” Taehyung initiated a conversation. Just to get more information and proved to himself that she is a fan.
“I… I just something came up at work.” She smiled awkwardly, shifted a little as she said that. She looked damn near uncomfortable, but Taehyung wanted to pry more.
He didn’t know what was wrong with him, but getting the girl to talk more was like scratching an itch. It was damn near satisfying and he really wanted to listen to what she has to say.
“Well, that something must have been a hell of a something to get you drinking that much.” Taehyung laughed, before he realized a little too late that the girl was probably embarrassed if he didn’t correct himself quickly. “I mean I was the same you know, no judging here.” Taehyung raised his hand in a surrendering motion, sending one cheeky smile.
The girl looked away, her cheeks had a red hue in it. She was embarrassed. It was weird that Taehyung’s smile stretched the longer he stared at her emotions. She didn’t say much but she was expressive. And Taehyung would like to think that it was genuine, which was something that he didn’t come across often.
Taehyung shook his head, feeling momentarily distracted.
“Your grandpa made an awfully good drinks though,” he said trying to lighten the mood. Y/n looked at him and Taehyung stopped for a moment to catch his breath with the stare he was getting from her. Her eyes light up, he didn’t know it was possible to really tell when someone’s eyes lit up.
“He was very passionate about his drinks, more than the marketing itself.” She shrugged after she said this, looking around the room to get her point across. “And he had a looooot of knowledge in this industry, he had been working under a guru for about 20 years before he started making his own drinks. After that it was just experience.”
Taehyung was agape at his own ability to actually listen to a full sentence from somebody else and not zone out. It has been years that he actually listen to someone else, he can’t even recalled who and when he started zoning out a lot. “Please do continue,” Taehyung said. He wanted to test himself more.
“I… sorry if I talk too much?” Y/n unsure if she should continue, her expression went from excited back to embarrassed again. Taehyung was at awe, how can someone be this readable.
He smiled at his own thoughts about her. She was interesting.
But then maybe it was the drink in his hand.
“No no, please continue I want to hear the rest of it.” Taehyung laughed as he slouched in his own seat, fully turning his chair towards her.
Without him realizing, he was having a full conversation until the sky turned dark and the rain subsided. Y/n. He was memorizing her name, testing it in his tongue and planting it on his brain.
It was like the God was playing at his life, maybe this person would somehow disappoint him in the long run. Taehyung had to just wait for another conversation to prove that he was right all along.
But for now, another drink and another laugh from the girl seemed like a good idea.

F1 Driver NSFW Profile: ✷ Lewis Hamilton ✷
smut ✷ 18+ readers only
I. Flirt. He’s a shy sort of suave. He wants to come off cool and laid back. Thank God he never has to worry if he’s dressed well. Lewis is all about eye contact, making sure to look over the frame of whatever sunglasses he’s wearing so he can hold your gaze. It’ll be hard for him to look away; maybe he’ll keep your eyes for as long as he can by looking back or walking backward. He’ll flash his million-dollar smile at you; make sure you know he’s noticed you too. If there are cameras around, he’s pretty much going to stand 40 feet away from you, but if it’s amongst the trusted inner circle or just the two of you, he is stuck to you like glue. When you first meet, he’s flirty in a relaxed sense; it won’t come across as him being particularly interested, just friendly. He takes his time sussing you out and getting a feel for you. But once he’s ready to make his intentions known, he’s laying on the charm. Making you laugh, taking any excuse to brush against you. II. Propositioning.   Warm hands caressing down your back, spending a generous amount of time on your ass before smoothing down your calves. He’ll peck kisses anywhere he can reach, his endless brown eyes meeting yours as his lips roam your body. Lewis wants to seduce and be seduced. He likes kissing–[loves] kissing. Has a hard time having sex [without] kissing. He wants your tongue hot and heavy in his mouth. Lewis likes to tease too. If the mood strikes and you start to put the moves on him, he'll play dumb. Straight up pretends not to notice, wait and see how far you’ll go before you push him down onto the sofa and straddle him.
III. Libido. It’s relatively high, but he’s also creeping up to his forties. Don’t get me wrong, he has no trouble getting (or maintaining) an erection, but it takes him a bit longer to get him up and ready…especially if it’s a night after drinking. So, he doesn’t mind a bit of soft play, whether it's your mouth or the soft glide of your hand. He’s not too picky. He feels so much closer to his partner during and after sex. Lewis feels like there’s no other connection in the world like it and would probably even be down to try sex magic if you were into that kind of thing.
IV. Turn-Ons: tame & nasty. Tame: Expensive clothes. When you hold him close to whisper in his ear. Laughing with your head thrown back. A nice fitting pair of trousers. Pretty, fast cars. Private beaches and cabanas. Outdoor showers. Spoiling you. Facetime calls to show him what you’re wearing. Getting along with his mum and step-mum. Having inside jokes with his brother. Fitting right into a game of footy with his nieces and nephews. Musicality in any way, shape, or form. Shy silliness that he gets to draw out of you. Diamonds on bare skin.  Nasty: When he fucks you so good you can’t even get out a moan, and it looks like  you’re having a sexy exorcism. Pulling your panties to the side instead of just pulling them off. Lowkey always wants to get caught; fucks you with the windows of your cabana wide open, or herds you into the single stall. Tender love and care to his balls. When you tell him that his dick is the best you’ve ever had. Receiving unsolicited your nudes. Mutual masturbation. Lingerie sets with lace bras and satin panties. The way your ass kinda makes a heart-shape in certain positions of doggy. Titties in his mouth. Topless beaches with wandering hands. V. Self-stimulation. Ideally, he would be able to Facetime you, and you could figure out a solution together. He'll use a video if the timezone doesn’t permit that, and he’s not desperate enough to wake you or disturb you at work. He can still appreciate porn, but if he wants to finish, he’d prefer to do it to you. VI. Foreplay. He almost pays too much attention to foreplay. It’s like he’s in some kind of competition with himself to see how wet he can make you before he finally slips inside. As he’s come into adulthood, he’s realised how powerful the act of cunnilingus is. He has his own version of getting drunk off your sex, usually in the form of semi-incoherent philosophical babbles of how we’re all connected and how beautiful your pussy is.
VII. Rhythm. He likes to keep it fresh but prefers deep, unhurried sex. Taking your time getting to know each other and savouring the feeling of the two of you together. He’s not afraid to moan or let his nastiest thoughts roll off his tongue. Most often he’ll be asking how it feels, for you to be louder. He likes egging you on. VIII. How He Likes It He’s a classic man. Doggy has a special place in his heart. He likes plenty of other positions, too, of course. But there’s just something about getting to watch your ass shake as he disappears inside you. You bent over, wet and moaning and rutting back against him. Rarely do you get to feel like you have the upper hand on him–he’s got lightning fast reflexes, strength and confidence that often make you feel like he’s not even real. Except in the bedroom and he has your front pressed into the bed and you start to work to throw your hips back to meet his thrusts. He nearly busts right then and there every time.
IX. Location, location, location. A hopeless romantic, ideally, he’d have rose petals all over the floor and candles littering the entire place. But that’s not always feasible, though he still tells you it’s what you deserve. And though he’d deny it, ducking his head to hide the burning on his cheeks but the hot tub seems to hold a special place in his heart. To the point where his buddies will point and giggle at it the second you’re aboard a yacht for the week or they notice it on the balcony through the curtains. Somehow, they always seem to be one on your holidays or hotel rooms. And you both do you best to use it to the best of your abilities.  X. Kinky. He’s open minded and easy to approach. He likes experimenting when he feels safe and he feels safest with you. Depending on the mood, he can be gently encouraging, complimenting and worshipping you into bliss. Or, he can be a little more demanding, a little less lenient and a little more mean. He’s good at playing. He likes playing…as long as you seem like you are too. Any fantasy you feel like trying, he’s all ears. Rarely will he outright deny you–about most things–especially sex.
XI. Bedroom aids/Toys He’s not stupid, obviously you use toys whilst he’s away or busy. He doesn’t mind adding them in with the both of you either. It really only took one time for him to watch your eyes roll back in your head after just two minutes on the second to highest setting. Lately, his latest exploration in the bedroom has involved plugs. Nothing gets his heart pumping blood to his crotch quite like when you bend over and reveal you’ve decided to surprise him with one. Something about the shimmer of something in your ass while he sheeths himself deep inside you feels like ecstasy.
XII. Cum. He can go for a while. He’s old enough where he doesn't need to lay back and think of England. He would prefer to finish after you though with the ferocity of your sex life, it’s quite literally always a competition to get others to cum first. Ideally, he’d finish inside of you but obviously sometimes that’s not always fisable. Though, more than enough times have you two snuck off for a quickie and you’re left uncomfortably wet in your panties after.
XIII. Pleasure reciprocation. Lewis loves to go down on you. Likes hearing all your moans and whines and any other noise he can get you to make. When his focus is on you and getting you to cum, he turns into an assertive yet gentle figure. He has plans for you, he’d like for you to follow them. But he’s not above giving into your desperation or gently teasing you for how worked up you get. He can teeter more towards mean when he feels like it though rarely can keep it up. By the time you’ve finished, he’s melted back into his true self. Making sure you’re not too far gone or nothing got too out of hand. Despite it all though, he makes you feel like he’s hungry for you. Like just the site of you or your body could drive him wild enough to cloud all his thoughts.
XIV. Bonus.
“I wanna show you something,” Lewis tells you, head down with his eyes focused on his phone. You approach him in the living room but don't make it to him before the TV on the wall above him blinks on. It shows the generic home display before it goes black again. But it's only for a moment. Then, a grainy, night vision video starts to play.
It takes you a moment to realise what is. It’s not until you hear the video playback what sounds like Lewis’ laugh. On screen, now  in clear view of the camera, you dragged Lewis to one of the outdoor sofas. Suddenly, you recognize everything in the video.
It from the boat trip you took a few weeks ago, traipsing around Greece with some friends before Lewis had to get back in race mode for the foreseeable future. It was late, all your friends had gone to bed and the crew had been tipped heavily to give you some privacy on deck.
You’re standing there watching yourself, watching your mouth meet his and moan in pleasure. In person, you don’t realise he’s even standing behind you until a gentle hand on your middle startles you out of your gaze.
“You remember that?” he asks softly, with a small nod towards the TV. You nod, letting out a distracted ‘mmhmm’ as you keep your eyes on the screen. His other hand meets your other side, palms softly caressing against the t-shirt you wore.
Back on the boat, you had already pulled Lewis free from the confines of his joggers. You were on the floor, on your knees. Even with the state of the art speakers Lewis had installed, you can’t make out what he’s saying to you on video. Just the soft rasp of his voice as he eggs you on.
“How did you get this?” you ask, your throat dry. You had taken him into your mouth on the boat, Lewis throwing his head back in pleasure on screen. It was nice to see him–actually see what he looked like while you gave him head. Up close was one thing, but watching the effect you had on him has your insides somersaulting.
“I told you I’d have them get rid of the footage.”
Neither of you were stupid. You both knew something as risky as this would require some damage control but Lewis promised you he’d take care of it.
“Yes, but how do you have it?” you gulp after a particularly loud moan vibrates off the screen.
Lewis doesn’t answer you, just laughs softly as he moves to start placing kisses on your neck. His hands move from your waist, roaming over your arms, then your shoulders. The roughness of his skin against the softness of your skin feels euphoric. But he stops the motion all too soon, one his hands clasping over each of your wrists. In front of you, your past self is already mounting your boyfriend, his hands eager to expose your breasts from the bikini you were wearing.
Loud, lewd sounds fill the room, echoing off the TV and bathing the both of you in a symphony of your own moans. You can feel Lewis’ breath against your neck, his hands still holding your wrists. You watch as his hand slipped over your core, pads of his fingers finding the perfect spot to send you over the edge. The sight of it makes you hotter, your skin starting to feel clammy and stomach somersaulting. Instinctively, you lean further back into Lewis, trying to instinctually rut yourself against him for some kind of relief.
But he’s not taking any of it. Just tightens his grip on your wrists and moves so you can’t roll your hips back against him.
The sounds on the TV get loud. You can hear the sound of your bodies meeting amongst the huffs and moans. It doesn’t matter how much you beg, how pathetically you mewl at Lewis to let you do something. He doesn’t care. Doesn’t even really let you look at him. At best you can get is the cocky smirk and devious gleam in his eyes before he’s gathering both your wrists in one hand and fixing your gaze ahead by your chin.
Your heart feels like its beating out of your chest. Your skin is sticking to your clothes, working up a sweat from how hot you feel underneath your clothes. Lewis makes you watch the whole thing like that. Forced to watch both orgasms he gave you. Forced to listen to the defeated sigh of satisfaction Lewis gives as you pulled yourself off of him. Forced to watch the glistening trail of yourselves that even the shitty security camera could pick up sliding down your leg.
You don’t even have to move to tell how wet you are once the TV finally turns off. Looking (and feeling) like you’re in a trance, Lewis chuckles proudly and presses a kiss to your hair.
“Now, go upstairs. Take all your clothes off. And wait for me.” He says, pressing one more kiss to your temple. He pulls away just a touch so he can look you in the eyes. “But do not touch yourself.” He taps his pointer finger to the tip of your nose and pats your ass as your single to get moving.
You do as you're told and head upstairs. Meanwhile, Lewis gets working on some drinks for the pair of you. He only gets as far as pulling his mock-Tequilas from the cabinet before he hears what at first sounds like your phone going off. But the buzzing he hears through the upstairs floor doesn’t stop. He freezes in place to listen. The buzzing keeps going, far longer than any ringtone would.
As soon as he realises what you’re doing, he drops what he’s doing and makes a break for the stairs. You can hear him calling your name through the bedroom door as he takes them to at a time to get to you.

FIRST DATES ➳ TOMORROW X TOGETHER
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
➙ what your first date with txt was like
pairing: non idol!txt x afab!reader
genre: fluff
warnings: not proofread, lowercase intended
a/n: what's your ideal perfect date? personally it depends but I've always wanted something interactive and fun such as an arcade date or even mini golfing (enha and possibly zb1 versions coming soon)
Tumblr media
🖇️ — 최수빈 ; SOOBIN !
↳ outdoor cinema date
after many failed dates and relationships, you weren't expecting much from the blind date your friend set you up on today
you both had texted each other, still unaware of how the other looked wanting to keep it a 'suprise' until the day of the date but suprisingly you both got along over the phone
you had suggested a movie for your date and soobin thought an outdoor cinema would be perfect
to say you were shocked first meeting him would be the understatement, you did not at all expect soobin to be that handsome and he didn't expect you to be so pretty
"W-wow... I mean, hi, my name is Soobin." he nervously introduces himself bowing
you both got to talk a little and get to know each other before the movie and everything was smooth sailing
during the course of the movie, soobin even tried the classic yawn and arm over the shoulder move
ofcourse you thought it was cheesy but nevertheless you moved in closer to him making him blush profusely
after that great date, you both maintained contact and even had a few more dates after that before officially dating
🖇️ — 최연준 ; YEONJUN !
↳ beach date
dating had never been part of your agenda whatsoever but you decided to join a dating website and see what happens
that's where you matched with choi yeonjun and he was the first to message you with the cringiest pick up line known to man... but he still managed to make you laugh
' Are you a photographer, because I can see you and I together '
' Wait that's not how it goes, I can PICTURE you and I together, how do I manage to mess that up too '
after his failed attempts to rizz you up, you both started talking and decided to meet in person for an official date
on the day of the date, you both decided to have a picnic at the beach and having bought all the food, yeonjun catered by bringing the blanket and umbrella so you wouldn't burn
the day was spent simply laughing and getting to know each other
yeonjun also happened to have brought his polaroid camera with and captured a bunch of photos of you, the scenery and the both of you
"So maybe my pick up line wasn't far off, I was able to picture us together." he jokingly says making you playfully roll your eyes
🖇️ — 최범규 ; BEOMGYU !
↳ laser tag date
you had been friends with beomgyu for awhile now having been in the same friend group but your dynamic changed after you both shared your first kiss during a game of spin the bottle
you had thought nothing of it at first until you realised he was all you could think about and you were inevitably crushing
taking that leap of faith, you decided to ask him out expecting to get rejected anyway but he suprisingly agreed
you were both big on doing something super fun and so when the suggestion to try laser tag came up you had to try it
"If I beat you, you owe me ice cream and if you win, I'll get you whatever you want." you suggest out stretching your hand as he shakes yours sealing the deal
confidently going in there you thought you would be able to beat beomgyu forgetting how great his aim was
he knew he would probably be better than you but despite making that deal he still wanted to get you your ice cream
"I'm sorry for shooting you 10 seconds in, how about we get some ice cream still, my treat." he suggests slyly putting his hand into yours making you blush as you try to hide your smile
"There's that smile I love."
🖇️ — 강태현 ; TAEHYUN !
↳ cafe date
taehyun happened to be a member at the gym you worked out at and during your workout he happened to help you spot and he soon became your 'gym buddy'
you soon grew a great friendship from that but I never went anywhere past the gym
that is until taehyun mustered up the courage to ask you to get coffee with him after a workout you both had and you ofcourse agreed
the cafe was a great choice considering it was a very peaceful place you could both get to talk and get to know one another
you actually got to see a more softer and even smarter side of taehyun during your date you never thought you would get to see
in the gym he was usually funnier and and casual but during this date you learnt so much more from this sweet guy
"Well I'd like to think we can meet more outside of the gym. Maybe ice skating next week?" taehyun asks hoping for a good outcome as his eyes light up at your response
"It's a date." you tell him giving him a short peck on his cheek
🖇️ — 휴닝카이 ; HUENINGKAI !
↳ escape room date
you had first met kai through his sister who you were friends with and it was rather obvious he was completely smitten when he would always get so flustered around you
you had waited for the longest time for him to finally ask you out and when he did, he bad suggested an escape room date
you had once mentioned how you always wanted to try going to one and so this was the perfect opportunity for kai too
he wanted to show off his great logic skill figuring out the different clues and you found it impressive and attractive
"Wow Kai, you're really good at this." you praise him as he evidently turned red
at some point you got stuck on a certain clue and went up to kai to figure it out with him and having you so close to him almost made him lose consciousness
his brain stopped working momentarily from the close proximity but you both worked well together
the escape room date was a great success because you got to do what you've been wanting to and with your crush
you both decided to go have a late lunch together after that and planned future dates to come

Conversing | Tim Bradford | The Rookie
Act One | Chapter 16 | Chapter 17 | Chapter 18
Tumblr media
Damian Barrett moved the coins in his hands, rattling them back and forth as he waited for the seconds as they passed. He had been instructed to call at exactly 17:47, not a second sooner or late. He was to say a few words and hang-up. The call had to be short, and from a payphone. The Instructions had been very clear, he had no margin for error.
He looked down to his cracked watch for the third time this minute, he only had 30 more seconds. His heart was pounding in his chest, so much so he could hear every thump after thump after thump. Taking a deep breath, he counted a few more seconds before slotting the coins, one by one, into the payphone and dialling the number he had memorised weeks ago.
He listened as the phone rang once, twice, three times before the recipient answered. “Hello, Damian. I am so glad to hear from you, and at the correct time too. Good boy.”
“I was arrested earlier, one of the cops, some girl detective or whatever, recognised my snake.” He said gruffly, trying to keep his voice quiet in such a public setting.
“And…?” The voice rang out, satisfied at the report so far.
“She seemed thrown off by it. Then they let me go, no charge.”
The voice laughed softly, so much so Damian wasn’t sure he had heard it. “Excellent. You did well.”
“Is that all you wanted from me? Are we even yet?” He snapped.
Damian had been in business with the person behind the voice for a while. He had never seen their face or even learnt their first name. He was desperate one day when his phone rang, he took the offer, forever debiting himself to the faceless voice.
“Not quite,” The voice said before pausing for a moment. Damian nearly hung up the phone when they began to speak again. “Although, if you want to pay off some more of that debt, I have another job for you, relatively easy.”
“Easy?” He snapped, “Nothing is easy with you! I’ve just been arrested, and youre saying whatever comes next is easy.”
“Calm yourself, or I won’t be so nice next time. You’ve seen what happens when I decide that I want someone gone. It’s why I enlisted you of course. Besides, a child could do this job.”
Damian leant his head back, cursing everything he could think of. “Fine. What is it.”
“I need you to mail me something…”
----------
The payphone was found destroyed in the morning, the machine was smashed to bits. Local CCTV placed a hooded man waiting there for nearly half hour before taking a short phone call.
It didn't take long for the case to wind up on Detective Bradford’s desk. Opening the file, her eyes cast down to the images captured by the surveillance camera. It was a little blurred, but once she focussed into the details, it was unmissable. A snake tattoo with bright red eyes.
Swiftly, she grabbed the file and images, weaving throughout the bull pen to Lopez’s desk. It took some restraint not to slam it down.
“Hey, I think we were right to be concerned about Barret.” She opened the file again, letting Angela look inside, “This wasn't long after he left here.”
Lopez picked up the file, flipping through the pages as (Y/N) had done only a few moments prior. “I think we need to go to Grey, this should be added to the reports. But that phone is smashed, you do know that we will have no record of anything dialled from there? It’s another loose end.”
“Yeah, I know, but it is something, more than we had at least.”
“It’s something to watch out for.”
----------
The crinkled paper felt familiarly rough under her fingers as she ran them along the pages. Ideally she wouldn’t have had to read books in such disrepair but you do not get many luxuries in prison, so she would take what she could get. Placing the book down, the prisoner sighed, laying down in her bed.
She didn’t need a clock to know what the time was, she had spent years observing the routines of the days and the movements of the guards. She could practically tell what they ate for lunch at this point. It was a simple way to keep her mind occupied, death row wasn’t full of mental stimulation after all. She knew that in less than four minutes a guard, most likely Donovan, would be coming round with mail that had been pre read and searched for any kind of threat.
They couldn’t be blamed, if anything she found it adorable. Their pathetic attempts to stop her communicating with the outside world. The prison should have known about her contraband phone and stationary, she did make it far too obvious after all. But then again, if someone doesn’t want to see something, it has a slight habit of not being noticeable.
Two minutes.
She could tell by the sound of the cart entering the corridor. It was a creaky old thing, one of the wheels tended to spin away from the others, making an awful screech when it was turned. It was a shame the prison was too cheap for a can of WD-40. It would’ve made her predictions a tad more challenging.
Thirty seconds.
She sat up again, straightening out the bright orange prison uniform she wore. She had always taken pride in her appearance and the uniform made no dent in that. Power was exerted from looks, and she would be damned if she didn’t keep a firm hold of the power.
Ten seconds.
Slowly she stood up, stretching her arms out, waiting for the door hatch to open
Five seconds...
…four…
…three…
…two
The hatch slammed open, a parcel of torn open letters shoved through. As she had predicted, the voice of guard Donovan rang out before the hatch slammed shut again. “Rosalind Dyer, mail call.”

Note
This might sound like a weird question, but have you ever come across a camera with a Bird Watching setting? I have an Olympus SP-800UZ and one of the modes it comes programmed with is literally called that, for taking pictures of birds in the wild.
Tumblr media
As someone whose special interest is birds, I love this setting and use it a LOT, but I've never been able to find another camera with a setting like it, and at some point I told myself I didn't want to replace the camera until I could find one with a similar setting.
The reason I ask is because I've been following for a while, and I've come to respect your opinions on photography.
I tried researching your camera and figuring out what exactly the bird watching mode does and even the official manual did not say. If I were to guess, it just sets the camera up with certain parameters that are usually ideal for photographing birds, but I don't think it does anything special that other cameras can't do. You would just have to set a different camera up to those parameters rather than the camera doing it for you.
If I were to guess, it probably enables a certain autofocus mode for small subjects and limits how slow the shutter speed can go so you don't get motion blur when very zoomed in.
However, I know exactly which features are important to get good bird photos, so as long as the camera has the following features, you don't really need a dedicated bird mode. Though if a camera has a "pet mode" it would probably work similarly to the bird mode you are used to.
Most important bird photography features...
Good autofocus
Good zoom range
Image stabilization (Either optical or sensor, not digital)
Autofocus has come a long way in the last few years. It's difficult to assess the autofocus from specifications alone, so you will probably need to rely on reviews to know if the camera locks in on subjects well. Some cameras have pet and wildlife autofocus features that can be very helpful in tracking smaller subjects like birds. So I would look out for any camera that has a pet autofocus mode or a review that says it locks onto smaller subjects well—even if they don't mention birds. If it can lock onto a chihuahua, it can usually do so with a bird too.
Birds and wildlife in general tend to get spooked easily and it is often difficult to get close without them running or flying away. So having a longer zoom range can really help you keep your distance and not startle your subject. I would say the minimum focal length for getting good bird shots is around 300mm (on a full frame camera). Some cameras only quantify their zoom by magnification (20x, 30x, 40x, etc.) and don't really say what that is in relation to. So focal length is a better metric to assess how zoomy a lens is. 10-35mm would be wide angle. 50mm is about like our eyes. 100mm is slightly telephoto. And 300mm and above would be very telephoto.
You may need to google the focal range equivalent to a full frame 35mm camera. So you would search "[camera model] 35mm equivalent focal range" to figure that out. And as long as it goes past 300mm, it might be a good candidate for birding.
When you have a camera that zooms in that far, any movement will be exaggerated—especially if you have naturally shaky hands. Not only can that introduce motion blur into your images, but it can make it very difficult to track your subject. Looking through the viewfinder will result in a wiggly mess and you won't know what you are pointing the camera at.
Image stabilization helps negate that exaggerated movement.
There are 3 kinds of stabilization. First is optical, which is built into the lens with a floating glass element. Then there is sensor stabilization (often called IBIS for "in-body image stabilization") which allows the sensor to shift and move to counteract any motion introduced by your hands. And the last form is digital stabilization which is done using the camera's software.
The first two are physical solutions that can adjust on the fly much like a chicken's head.
Tumblr media
The digital solution is mostly just fancy image cropping. It zooms in a tiny bit on your image and then aligns a continuous crop to give the appearance of a stable image.
Tumblr media
The lens and the sensor are still a jiggling mess, but this constant cropping allows you to see the illusion of a stable image in your viewfinder and in the videos you take. And while this is very helpful for tracking subjects and capturing video footage, it will not help you negate motion blur—which is why the other two methods are preferred for still photography.
Bigger cameras can often forego stabilization because the zoom lenses are bigger and heavier and don't shake as much and they let in a lot more light so you can raise your shutter speed to freeze motion. It's still nice to have, and if you have IBIS and optical stabilization combined on a big camera you can almost take pictures in the dark without camera shake, but all of those conveniences can get costly.
The camera you have now is called a "bridge" camera or a "superzoom". These are (relatively) inexpensive cameras that use a smaller smartphone-style sensor but with a more classic camera body surrounding it and a non-changeable lens. Small sensors have one big advantage where if you put a zoom lens in front of them, they can see from Alaska to Russia.
For instance, your camera has an 840mm equivalent lens. That is near telescopic.
For reference, this is what an 800mm lens looks like for a full frame professional camera.
Tumblr media
It weighs 10 pounds and costs about $13,000.
Granted the image quality of that lens is in another universe compared to your superzoom, but if you are mostly interested in documenting the birds you are encountering, a superzoom is a neat tool to have. It's like digital binoculars.
So I guess the question is, do you just want to document your bird adventures or do you want to delve into artistic bird photography?
You can upgrade to a nicer superzoom and get some improved clarity and ease-of-use features, which is totally valid. You could even get a "premium" superzoom that can do artistic bird photography in ideal lighting conditions.
Or if you go with a more professional interchangeable lens camera system (ILC), you can achieve some stunning artistic photos like these...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Freezing a bird midflight while catching a fish is just not really feasible with a basic superzoom.
Let's talk about the advantages and disadvantages of a superzoom bridge camera as compared to a more professional ILC setup.
Superzoom Pros
No learning curve. These cameras are designed for novice photographers and have very good automatic functions. You can pretty much pull them out of the box and start taking pictures without knowing the fundamentals of photography.
Incredible zoominess. You can get amazing zoom power for a fraction of the price.
Budget friendly. The top of the line superzoom camera is still only about $1500 as compared to the top of the line mirrorless ILC (for wildlife) which is $6500 *without* a lens. And the lower to mid range superzooms are even more affordable, especially if you consider used options.
Superzoom Cons
Noisy images in low light. These cameras are mostly suited for bright sunny days. The small sensors and cheaper lenses do not capture very much light. In more challenging lighting situations you will tend to get very noisy images due to using a high ISO to compensate.
Inconsistent image quality. Under the best of circumstances, you can get some really beautiful photographs. But when you push the camera to its extremes, the image quality can start to deteriorate. Low light causes noise. The more you zoom in, the softer your images will get. Low megapixels limit your options to crop in on far away subjects—which is often an issue with wildlife.
Deep depth of field. A lot of bird photographers like using shallow depth of field to blur the background so the bird really stands out in the photo. Small sensors can have a very hard time blurring the background unless the subject is quite far away and you are zoomed all the way in. But when you are all the way zoomed in, the image can get soft and lack detail. So you trade image quality for a blurry background.
Lack of professional features and accessories. There are many advanced features that can make bird photography much easier. Some cameras have advanced motion tracking that can allow you to capture birds in flight. The latest generation can even track a tiny bird's eye. There are also accessories that are only made for ILCs. Like motion activated shutter triggers that will take a picture of a bird automatically if you set up a camera near a feeder. There are flashes that work at very long distances. You can get camouflage skins for your lenses so the birds can't see you. Stuff like that.
ILC Pros
Lower image noise. With a bigger sensor and better lenses you can shoot with a very low ISO in good light and get incredibly clean noise-less images.
Better high ISO performance. If you are in low light, you can increase the ISO and still get a very good image. The noise on an ILC is much less distracting and easier to deal with—especially with advanced noise reduction software.
Background blur is easy. Due to the much larger sensor and telephoto lenses, almost every telephoto image will have beautiful blurry backgrounds no matter how small the aperture is.
Sharper, faster lenses. The lenses are much sharper and let in a lot more light. The quality of the image does not decrease as you zoom in. And the sharp optics allow a lot of leeway for cropping. So even if a bird was super far away, you can crop the image after the fact and it will still be quite detailed.
More megapixels. A lot of bird photography needs to be cropped in due to subject distance. Having more megapixels allows for more cropping. (I know I keep talking about cropping, but it really is a huge aspect of most bird photography.)
Advanced autofocus. This is the big game changer, especially on the new mirrorless cameras. The latest Canon and Sony cameras have eye detect autofocus for animals. You can literally lock onto a bird's eye while it is in flight and get perfect focus. It's bonkers.
ILC Cons
Steep learning curve. A lot of people think they'll get a big ILC and immediately get better pictures than their smartphone. They are often disappointed when that isn't the case. You really need to learn the fundamentals of photography to get good photos out of an ILC (free course here). They do have automatic modes, but without learning about aperture, shutter speed, and ISO (the exposure triangle) and how to balance them and when to prioritize what, you might end up with *worse* photos than a smartphone.
Wildlife photography can get very expensive. Big lenses with a lot of zoom are some of the priciest available. There are some budget options, but you will have to sacrifice quite a bit of zoom and light-gathering capabilities. The quality of the photos is usually worth it, but you may have to learn how to get closer to birds to photograph them.
Heavy as heck. Superzooms are very light and portable. A wildlife ILC configuration is very unwieldy. The camera is heavier. The lens is long and heavy. Carrying all of that gear into the wilderness can be quite a hassle.
Some camera suggestions...
Superzoom Options
If I'm being honest, in the sub $300 range, I don't think you'll be able to drastically improve over what you already have. All of the cameras in this range are quite similar and while a few might have some features that are helpful, the image quality is going to be roughly the same.
You are probably going to need to spend at least $400-700 to get a meaningful upgrade from what you have.
The top-of-the-line superzoom would be the Sony RX10 Mark IV at $1100 used. You can get the previous model, the Mark III, for about $900 used. It's a wonderful camera and the image quality and features rival or even surpass some ILC options. If you don't have the time to learn an ILC system but want the best possible quality, this might be an option. But an ILC will still give you better results if you are willing to put in the time.
For more mid-tier superzooms, you might look into the Panasonic Lumix models. They use slightly larger sensors than most superzooms and are known for their lens optical quality along with their stabilization.
The FZ1000 is getting very old, but it is still a powerful camera at a good price. The only downside is the focusing system isn't as advanced as newer cameras. But it will be better than what you have and you can find one used for around $400.
The newer FZ1000 II or the FZ2500 would be great options that have more modern autofocus and a lot more bells and whistles. They are fairly similar and can both be found for around $650 used. They do great video as well.
These are not the only options, but they are ones I know of and models I have heard positive things about. If you want to see what else is out there I would google "bridge superzoom cameras" and then maybe add your price range as well. Read reviews and watch YouTube videos to get a sense of the cameras you are interested in. As long as the camera has decent autofocus, I don't think you need a specific bird feature—so I wouldn't limit yourself in that regard.
ILC Options
When trying to come up with a good bird photography setup for interchangeable lens cameras, there is basically an easy, medium, and hard mode depending on how much you spend.
As I mentioned, the top-of-the-line mirrorless cameras have autofocus tracking that can lock onto a bird's eye while in flight. They have both IBIS and lenses with optical stabilization. They have burst modes that let you take 30 photos per second. They have 50 megapixel sensors that allow you to crop to your heart's content and still have megapixels left over.
It's quite dreamy if you have the money.
Tumblr media
But I'm guessing if you are coming from an Olympus bridge camera that is probably a bit more of an upgrade than you were thinking.
So if easy mode is not viable, let's talk about medium and hard mode.
If you still want the bird detecting autofocus, in body image stabilization, and a pretty zoomy lens, Canon has some newer mirrorless cameras that would take amazing artistic bird shots. It's still spendy, but not $9000 spendy.
The Canon R7 is a great APS-C mirrorless camera with IBIS that can be found used for about $1300. It has 32 megapixels and due to having a slightly smaller sensor, you even get some bonus zoom out of all your lenses at about 1.6x. It's still a much larger sensor than a superzoom, just not quite the size of the Alpha 1.
Tumblr media
Alpha 1 is Full Frame. R7 is APS-C. And Superzooms don't get any bigger than the 1" sensor.
Pair the R7 with the RF 100-400mm lens ($600 used) with optical stabilization, and you would have a stellar bird photography setup for about $1900. (It would be a 160-640mm equivalent lens on the R7 due to the 1.6x crop factor.)
Which is probably still way more than you want to spend.
So we have the hard mode option.
No bird eye autofocus. No stabilization. You have to learn the fundamentals and practice in order to get good shots. However, wildlife photographers have been getting AMAZING photos with the gear I'm about to suggest. In fact, all of these photos were captured with the hard mode ILC combo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Canon 7D Mark II has been a beloved camera body for wildlife photography for many years. Many pros still use it to great effect to this day. It doesn't have bird autofocus, but it still has one of the best DSLR autofocus systems that was ever developed. It can even track moving subjects, it just doesn't know it is tracking a bird so it is more prone to error on occasion. It can be found used for $500-600.
The Canon 400mm F/5.6 telephoto lens is one of the most affordable lenses Canon ever made for wildlife. It is an old lens, but it is sharp and takes beautiful images. No stabilization, but it is big and heavy so that isn't a huge deal. You can also carry a monopod rest it on. And on the 7D II, it is the equivalent of a 640mm lens. It costs around $650 used, which is very inexpensive compared to other telephoto lenses.
So you are looking at around $1200 for the combo. But the photos you can achieve with these two items will blow pretty much any superzoom out of the water.
To sum up...
ILC photography is always going to have a steep learning curve and expensive barrier for entry, but you can achieve some truly stunning results.
Superzooms are getting better and some of the newer ones can still take excellent pictures of birds under the right circumstances. They are lightweight and hassle free and allow you to get incredible zooms for a low cost.
If you mostly take photos of stationary birds outside on bright sunny days, you will be fairly happy with a superzoom.
If you want to take photos during darker times like sunrise or sunset or in a dense forest... or if you want to take photos of birds mid-flight, you will probably have to get an ILC.
I hope that was helpful. I know I overdo these answers, but I try to help as many people as I can by giving a broad overview of the topic and the myriad ways to go about things.

Hello! I am catching up on les mis letters and I think the October 7(???) chapter mentions that none of the les amis are wearing ties. Can you tell me the significance of this? I know nothing of FRev ✌️
Sure! I assume you mean this line:
They reached the Quai Morland. Cravatless, hatless, breathless, soaked by the rain, with lightning in their eyes.
A quick Obligatory Mention that Les Mis is not set in the French Revolution, but in the post-Republic years of the early 19C ! Which is of course mostly relevant here because instead of imagining a bunch of sans culottes
Tumblr media
(1842 black and white art of two sans culottes, rather pretty and idealized, by Emilé Wattier)
Tumblr media
( a color picture of a sans culotte on the left and maybe far right, with a culottes-wearing drummer between them. All are wearing phrygian caps and republic cockades, and seem to be going off to fight together)
You're instead looking at a group more like this, Fashionwise:
Tumblr media
Révolution de 1830 - Combat devant l'hôtel de ville , an idealized portrayal of revolutionaries in 1830, fighting outside the Hotel de VIlle, by Jean-Victor Schnetz (you can really zoom in on it at the Wiki page!) I wanted to bring that--again, highly idealized -- pic of 1830 in because it shows not just what people were wearing, more or less, but how that was being socially interpreted! You've got a lot of different hats here--top hat, workers' caps, bandanas, soldier's hats, etc. And IDK how much you know about fashion in this era, Nonny, but I bet you can start picking out a pattern to who's wearing what.
Especially the way that cravatlass people in workers' caps and bandanas and Phrygian caps are, by and large, turned away from the camera, or have their faces in shadow, while the composition leads us to a central, heroic figure--a student-type in obvious Fashionably Respectable clothes, with a great big cravat. There's even an older man in a nice top hat, with a saber, looking and gesturing to him! THIS is our Central Guy, a good bourgeois type the presumed viewer can feel safe with! Even the heroic worker (hat apparently missing, but he's in overalls, then as now a garment linked with labor) who's swooning into the central student's arms has his eyes shadowed , though at least we see most of his face.
You could write a whole paper on this painting alone, but the barebones relevance here: a bourgeois audience is going to have very different reactions to people who are visibly of Their Class than the scaaaaary, faceless Working Class. And in the real world where combat and crowds aren't as neat and shiny as this painting and the little details like shoes and socks and fit of the trousers and so on is going to get lost in the dust and distance, one of the easiest ways to read a man's social status is hats and cravats -- who's wearing them , what sort are they wearing, etc.
So on an immediate, practical, level , losing the hats and cravats is a bit like "rolling up your sleeves"-- ditching or loosening restrictive clothing before doing hard physical work. But on a social/symbolic level, it's a way of erasing differences of status and social standing between the barricade fighters. Hats gone, cravats gone, everyone soaked by rain and covered in mud, there's no easy distinction between Enjolras and Feuilly--or between a porter and a poet.
Which is all very egalitarian and symbolic and all--but to the sort of reader/ viewer who the painting up there is targeting, it's also very scary, because now there's no obvious sympathetic "leader", no easily-spotted reassuring figure to make them think it's all being organized by the Right Sort of people. It's just a scary,lower-class, undifferentiated mob.
Both these factors, the symbolic equality and the perceived mob nature of the uprising, are very relevant to the rebellion in Les Mis!
..and also it's just SUPER awkward to try and do hard physical work with a tight binding loop of fabric around your throat, or without losing most hats. The Struggle is Real, there.

ok ok - so you've mentioned Oscar's absence is just starkly obvious in Ever After. How so? Or more specific, how much different do you think things would have been if he was there? Especially in light of....... that recent event.
Thank you so much for your patience @skynapple! I knew this would be a long answer so it took me a bit to gather everything.
I think I've mentioned it in different ways across a few posts by now, but I'll try and summarize it all here!!
How Oscar's Absence Has Been Emphasized Throughout V9 (Specifically Through Ruby's Attachment to Him)
The first thing that clues us into this is actually how v8 is set up. When the teams are split, they're split by pairings. Or at the very least, foils (I will be referring to ship names just for conveniences sake).
Yang vs. Blake Ren vs. Nora Jaune vs. Weiss Oscar vs. Ruby
And we have multiple examples of who is supposed to foil who by the orders they're standing in the opening specifically. Which, as we all know, is full of symbolism and foreshadowing for the volume as a whole.
Example 1: We have the Bees at the center followed by Renora, Whiteknight, and Rosegarden left to right on either side of them.
Tumblr media
Example 2: We have Ruby and Yang set as foils here with where they're positioned in proximity to the camera as the 'leaders' of each group. But if you look at them in a lineup order again from the outside in, it starts with Renora followed by RG, then WK and BB are flipped.
Tumblr media
Example 3: Technically these are the first shots focused on division in the entire opening... and it's literally who mirrors who. Bees at the far left and right. Renora the next ones in. Then Whiteknight. And Rosegarden again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Beyond the symbolism in the opening, this is reinforced by what happens over the course of the volume.
The divide that starts in the first episode is brought on by a disagreement between Ruby and Yang... but where Ruby worries about Yang, Yang worries more about Blake than her sister.
Yang: Do you... think she thinks less of me? For not helping out with Amity? (she asks while looking at a piece of purple machinery) Jaune: Ruby is your sister, she's always going to love you. Even if you disagree with each other. Yang: Yeah... Ruby...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Blake, by extension, is worrying about Yang.
Tumblr media
Ruby: I hope everyone is doing alright...* Blake: If you're worried about Yang, you could always try calling her? *flashback to when Ruby said "I'm just glad you're alright." when she found Oscar in the crater only to be separated from him again.
Ren and Nora's arcs and clash of ideals are clearly in focus as well, especially after their 'confession' in Risk.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nora: I don't actually know who I am... without Ren... - Nora: When my mom ran from the grimm and left me behind... you found me. We became "Ren and Nora". But I realized on this mission apart... I don't know who just "Nora" is.
Jaune and Weiss is more subtle because they don't have as much character focus that volume, but they are the last two people left standing after Cinder's attack and were the only two present when Penny died. We instead see how that relationship is focused on throughout v9 in light of that shared experience.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That focus is exactly what happens with Ruby and Oscar's relationship as well, not just in spite of Oscar's absence, but because of it.
All the pairings I just mentioned? They all finished Volume 8 'reunited'. Or I guess a better description would be 'in the same place'.
Yang and Blake in the Ever After. Jaune and Weiss too. Ren and Nora back in Vacuo.
But Ruby and Oscar? They were the only two established foils that were split up in v8 that didn't get an actual reunion. And that's shown plain and clear in Ultimatum where we see everyone come back together only for RG's hug to be focused on and then interrupted. Foreshadowing to say they weren't quite there yet and to build up to a bigger reunion later on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Part of the reason why I say his absence is so strongly felt is because RG is a ship built on absences. I am once again going to talk about other volumes first, I PROMISE i will get to v9 in a second, please bare with me ahaha.
In the v5 finale, we have focus on Oscar's reaction over everyone else when Ruby is knocked out of commission.
Tumblr media
In v6, we have focus on Ruby when Oscar disappears and a focus on the two of them again when he returns in the following episode. (Not pictured in this gif is Ruby's eyes shaking in fear when she's told Oscar is missing, Ruby gasping when he opens the door, Ruby laughing when they tackle him to the floor, and Ruby helping him up afterwards).
Tumblr media
In v7, it's established from episode 2 that they're having conflict which is elaborated on further in the following episode and further still by them being apart and in disagreement for the following few episodes. Until they both come to trust each other again during The Fumble in episode 9.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I already spoke about the divide in v8.
But then v9? Where literally the first thing Ruby sees at the beginning of the volume is an illusion of Oscar? Not Yang first. Not Penny first. But Oscar?? And that illusion is one of him beaten and covered in bruises to really hurt Ruby more?
Tumblr media
The scene where Neo flips between those people establishes three things that all get explored throughout the rest of the season.
Ruby's grief over Penny
Ruby's conflict and connection with her sister
Ruby's attachment to Oscar
The focus on her grief with Penny ties back into the Dojo Scene in volume 5. Where Oscar was the first and only person she actually talked to about that grief.
Tumblr media
Ruby: When Beacon fell, I lost two of my friends. Penny Polendina and Pyrrha Nikos.
The focus on her connection to Yang in this volume, one where her sister finally enters a relationship with Blake, leaves Ruby feeling left behind by one of the few people she thought she had left. Even if it is irrational and not an actual loss, that distance feels stronger to Ruby here because she's already grieving so many other losses she hasn't processed yet.
Tumblr media
I've gone over the above scene before, but part of what clues us into her thinking of Oscar, or at least the emphasis on his absence, is the symbolism used. Throughout the volumes, Oscar has been associated very strongly with sunlight, fire, and warmth that drives away the cold of Ruby's grief. This is most specifically and consistently shown with him being framed by lamps and lanterns.
Tumblr media
So when she is placed in a room with her team, furthest from the fire (warmth), next to a lantern, across from an empty chair with a green/teal cloth on it? It's pretty easy to assume who she's thinking about. Weiss could have sat there. Or Jaune. But neither did. Because they wanted us to see how alone Ruby felt.
Tumblr media
And then the focus on her attachment to Oscar with his death being the last illusion Neo uses against her. The illusion that breaks her to the point of reaching for the tea the first time and would have been the final straw had the Curious Cat not interrupted them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not only does this volume highlight what Oscar's absence in the Ever After does to Ruby... It also focuses on what the meaning of losing him in general would do to her. Because Oscar, above all else, is a symbol of exactly what motivates her to keep fighting.
In her letter in v4, she starts to tell Yang that they have to keep fighting for the people they've already lost... but then she hesitates. Crosses it out. Corrects that who they actually need to fight for is the people they haven't lost yet.
And Neo's personally tailored torture chamber starts by haunting Ruby with the memory of all those she has lost, or those whose deaths she feels responsible for...
Tumblr media
...only to deal the finishing blow by telling her that if she keeps down the path she's headed, she will lose those she still has left. And she drives that point home with Oscar. Once again, not her sister Yang, not her friend Penny, not her team partner Weiss, not her Uncle Qrow, or any of their other friends.
Neo. Uses. Oscar.
Tumblr media
Because he is who Ruby is closest to. And his loss is the one that would hit her the hardest.
As for the second portion of your question (I promise this section will be shorter) of how the volume might have been different had Oscar been around it's... really hard to say.
I truly believe his absence made this volume possible given how they structured it, and I really don't think it would have worked in the ways they needed it to had he been there.
That being said, I am down to speculate.
Oscar's always been very tuned into how Ruby is feeling or noticing when she's struggling and jumping to help when he can. There's a possibility he would have tried to do so had he been there. He may have had an approach like "No, enough of the moving forward nonsense, you are not okay and we are going to address that before we keep going". If he had and it had worked, then much of the conflict of that volume just wouldn't have happened, would have been postponed, or would have been resolved without Ruby ascending, which she needed to do in order to move the plot forward.
At the very least, Oscar would have snapped at both Weiss and Jaune for talking to Ruby the ways they had been before that boiled over. But I don't know that he would have actually been able to help with what little time they had... as well as some other factors.
Ruby was at a very low point, Yang was trying to get her to open up and Ruby wouldn't. Weiss and Blake also tried to offer support or reassurances but fell short.
One of the interactions with WBY that happens after Ruby snaps and storms off clues us into this:
Yang: Dammit! How could she just run off like that? Blake: She was clearly upset. Yang: That wasn't upset, that was... UGH! She could have just talked to us. Weiss: Maybe she didn't feel like she could.
I feel like this is a double edged sword. On one hand, with Oscar's absence being focused on, it implies that maybe Ruby didn't feel like she could talk to her team... but she might have been able to talk to Oscar because we know she felt safe enough to do that before. Both the dojo scene, and the fumble are great examples of this.
Tumblr media
But there reaches a certain point for everyone struggling with mental health where community support doesn't cut it. Ruby may have been at too low of a point to even talk to him of all people. And Oscar trying to force her to open up when she didn't have it in her could have very well done more harm than good.
One other thing that's said in the volume after Ruby has begun ascending is this:
Weiss: We've done everything we can. Now it's up to Ruby.
I think Weiss of all people did more harm to Ruby's mental state than any good, but I digress.
The point of this line is that friends and family can offer support as best they can, but sometimes you have to fight your own battles. This was a journey Ruby had to do alone. Which as a side note, is a very nice parallel to Nora's current arc.
I think with enough time and support, that maybe Ruby would have been able to avoid locking it all away until she burst... But stories are driven by conflict and their subsequent resolution. Ruby's breakdown needed to happen one way or another and was a long time coming.
And I think they way they used Oscar - and specifically, his absence - to contribute to that breaking point was executed brilliantly.
Even if it hurt like hell 😭

Got Married; Yoo Jimin, Karina Aespa
3. Cheesecake & Proposal

Let Me Know - Jimmy Brown
Tumblr media
It was the first day of shooting for the reboot of We Got Married, and an SM employee was doing Karina's makeup.
The crew had decided to hold the "initial" gathering in a park with some sort of cafe-like environment.
"Wah, so pretty!" Karina grinned as her makeup artist praised her dearly.
The girl immediately chuckled. "Thank you!" she exclaimed in the sweetest voice possible.
She opened the camera app and found the ideal angle for a selfie.
Giselle entered the room and exclaimed, "Woah woah Jimin, so gorgeous!" when she saw her best friend.
Karina put her phone down and gave Giselle a pretend death glare while attempting to conceal her smile.
"Are you okay?" the rapper inquired, fiddling with the leader's hair.
The leader sighed and nodded while they were both looking into the mirror.
Giselle gave her shoulder a pat. "Trust me, you'll be alright," the girl told her.
Jimin simply smiled in response to her member's assurances and the other girls were waiting for her outside.
They are, in fact, speaking with some DayDream members.
Everyone seems to have arrived on the set and started getting ready after a short while.
Karina had neatly styled hair and was dressed in a long white shirt with cream flare pants.
Her hair was decorated with flowers of a sort to make the girl appear more attractive.
All of the cafe's employees were standing by to assist customers and collect their orders, as Karina was instructed to find a seat there.
Winter encouraged the older girl by saying, "Come on, don't be nervous!" loud enough for Karina to hear.
To help the unnie feel more at ease, Ningning was singing a few operatic tunes.
"YOU SLAY GIRL!" You probably already know who this is.
Everyone was in a frenzy, running all over, and wild things were happening.
"Okay everyone, get set!"
"We're going to roll in three,"
They were yelled at by the director, who also had cameramen waiting.
"2"
"1!" was the call for the take.
The crew cued her to enter while Y/N's walking legs were initially filmed for the dramatic entrance, after which the camera proceeded to capture the cafe's backdrop and slowly Karina's glamorous visual was filmed.
To improve the aesthetics of the entire show's filming, she ordered an ice blended chocolate.
When Y/N entered the cafe, she pushed the doorbell, causing it to ring.
To be fair, she was nervous as well but she tried her best not to fart or randomly passed out from the anxiety.
Just kidding about the farting part.
She was instructed by the crew to be herself and approach Karina in her own way.
Her gaze was scanning the cafe and she noticed the figure of an Aespa member.
Karina was facing the opposite way as she approached, so she said hello as soon as she sat down at the table.
"Oh hello" she greeted, bowing down because she was a fellow idol in this show.
Everyone laughed, and Y/N immediately wanted to commit suicide.
Karina stood up and greeted the 'wife' in the manner of an idol.
When Aespa's girls saw both of them doing it, they wanted to facepalm.
The maknae sighed as she uttered, "Oh my gosh, Jimin unnie," because she was pretty well done.
They both sat down. "Wah, I didn't expect it to be you," Karina said awkwardly, laughing.
Looking down, Y/N smiled. "Me neither, this is very unexpected" she acknowledged in a low voice.
Jimin swallowed and cleared her throat. "The awkwardness is so obvious," the older girl observed.
With a very straightforward expression.
Nearly everyone laughed. "Oh, today's weather is quite pleasant." Y/N blurted out in an effort to clear the air.
"Order your drink" Karina said in a regular tone.
Y/N raised an eyebrow; it was by far the nicest way Karina spoke to her.
The vocalist nodded. "What did you get for yourself?" she inquired, trying to break the awkward silence.
However, on the other hand...
Ningning remarked, "If awkwardness were persons, Y/N and Jimin unnie are them." Well, said in a mocking manner.
The two others sighed. All they could do was that.
Returning to the first meeting.
"I got myself an ice blended choco, I recommend you get a strawberry smoothie," the older girl recommended after they looked over the menu.
Y/N nodded, "Well, that seems good as well, I'll take that," she agreed.
She arched her brows and motioned for the server to take their orders by raising her hand.
Their interaction appears to have slightly improved.
"Why not have a snack as well?" The visual suggested the dessert section of the menu.
The DayDream vocalist hummed, her gaze fixated on the menu and she closed it and handed it to the server.
"OK, let's get a..." she was about to say.
They both said, "Cheesecake," at the same time.
Their eyes grew wide. "What a coincidence," remarked Y/N as they laughed.
Karina laughed, and it was a genuine laugh.
The Aespa leader nodded "Yes, please get us a cheesecake," the girl said, smiling at the server.
They had a little laugh together; perhaps things are going well?
Talking for a short while in the cafe, with a few edits and retakes. The two were effectively conversing with one another.
One of Y/N's members commented, "Not terribly awkward as previously," as they approached Aespa.
All the girls agreed, and Giselle opined, "I think it'd be hectic for these two." nodding firmly.
They were discussing their ideas as well as their expectations regarding these two.
Tumblr media
Karina smirked and tapped her fingers on the keyboards as she read that.
She gave a devilish grin after she sent it.
Oh yes, the nasty sarcasm from Karina, but it's also disguised as a bit of compliments.
Y/N left the text on read, and Karina's phone started ringing, with Y/N's name on the screen calling the phone.
The other girls snapped their head to the music, which they recognised as the Naevis calling portion from Next Level.
Everyone sang in unison. Everyone laughed at the reference they made, "Naevis, calling ey."
Including the leader as well.
She took the phone in hand. She gave a frigid "Hmm" in reply.
Karina tensed up in confusion while the other end of the call remained silent.
"If you're not gonna say anything, I'm going to end the call" she stated sternly.
Y/N draws a deep breath. "I have nothing to say, I'm just teasing," the girl admitted.
Karina sighed and rolled her eyes. "OK, that's it, I'm going to sleep," she groaned as she hung up the phone.
She then turned to face the wall, slightly irritated, as the tired Karina slowly drifted off to sleep.
They're just waiting for the evening to come so they can buy rings and propose.
Tumblr media
In the shopping mall...
Literally everyone in the mall was focused on the WGM shooting, especially the fans who had just so happened to see them.
They were warned not to record or take pictures of the play since it would ruin the fun.
Due to the filming, Swarovski store is currently packed, because they made the decision to purchase the rings there.
The second take has begun. "Now the two of you will talk and carefully select the rings," the director instructed.
A camera pans at them, and a cameraman follows them.
The members of their respective groups were observing the program pre-recording in a van via a few screens.
"It's crazy that we're picking rings and then dresses," Karina remarked.
Y/N laughed, "I have no idea, this is my first wedding," she admitted, smiling as the staff promoted some rings to them.
The designs of the rings and other jewels inside somehow managed to captivate them both.
"Honestly, I can't wait for the entire thing," Karina said, revealing her true feelings.
Y/N nodded and said, "I'm nervous," which was exactly how she felt.
As soon as their hands brushed against each other, Karina quickly clutched her hand to her chest and her eyes widened while Y/N only gave Karina side eyes.
The camera clearly captured the fact that they both became frightened as a result.
They ultimately decided on the ideal ring after over 30 minutes had passed.
The Swarovski employees were getting ready to package the rings and deliver them to the Y/N's management.
Jang Y/N must also propose to Karina in her own unique way, which requires some creativity.
The filming has been cut, and they are simply waiting for another hour while the team at the location of the proposal was getting ready for the final shoot of the day.
Finally, some of the people dissolved, making the area a little bit lighter.
Y/N and Karina remained in the ring section while the younger one pretended to cough.
That piqued the girl's interest. "The ring, I didn't just get it for the show, Jimin" While no one is around, she uses Karina's true name.
"Hrm?" Jimin hummed perplexedly.
She sighed. "I anticipate a positive outcome from everything" Y/N carefully answered.
"What are you saying, Y/N?" the older girl queried as she scrunched up her face and tilted her head.
"Let's keep talking even after the show is over," she declared flatly.
Karina exhaled and nodded slowly as her eyes were scanning the area.
She gave a sweet smile. "I understand where you're coming from, and I hope we can get there," she replied to the girl.
To be honest, both of them understood the show's contract, which stated that they were not allowed to date after the show ended because it was for entertainment and fan service.
Although the deal was ludicrous, it is what it is.
With the guarantee, Y/N nodded, grinned, and exited the place for the conclusion of the first episode.

Proposal night
They changed into new clothes, gave themselves a quick refresh, and the idols reapplied their makeup.
As her members were conversing with her, Y/N was just getting her hair done and was staring into the mirror.
They were conversing about many topics, primarily Karina.
Nothing to worry about, nothing negative, simply their overall thoughts on the girl.
"How are you feeling? Daydream's leader, Dajeong, enquired.
She put her hand on Y/N's shoulder as they both turned to face the mirror.
Y/N exhaled deeply. "What do you mean, unnie?" asked the younger.
Dajeong rolled her eyes, "You know what I mean," she groaned, before giving Y/N a mocking smirk.
In response, Y/N hummed while raising her shoulders to imply that she is unsure.
She attempted to exhale, but nothing came out. She then gave the leader a toothless smile.
Dajeong shook her head "Don't be nervous; you can do it," Dajeong comforted the girl, patting her on the back.
The DayDream leader left just as they were about to roll on and get really busy.
Y/N reflected on what her leader had said, looked in the mirror, and realised she had to face whatever this show had in store for her.
A crew member entered the dressing room, gripped the door knob, and peered inside. "Jang Y/N, get ready!" she exclaimed, before exiting the room.
Everyone hurried outside for the upcoming shoot, and Y/N nodded as she rose from her chair.
After a few minutes, Jimin was in the middle of the shooting location, which was located in a park.
The location of the proposal was not far from where she is now.
Her team was examining everything, including her hair and makeup, as well as the microphone that was fastened to her shirt.
She was dressed in something that showcased her exceptionally good body and perfect-fitting white colour.
The sun was about to set, and Y/N had planned to propose to her when the sun went down.
Once more, Ningning yelled, "YOHOO, UNNIE YOU CAN DO IT!" in support of her.
Although what was going to happen wasn't their leader getting engaged for real, the girls were hopping up and down because they were so excited for her.
Well...
When Y/N and Karina arrived at the filming location, they briefly locked eyes but did not speak.
"Everyone get ready!" the director's assistant yelled out.
"In just a moment."
"Cameraman B, please pan the camera towards the sunset scene and record the couple backside as soon as I said roll!" He spoke loudly to give this cameraman instructions.
The cameraman nodded as he approached the location to capture the sky.
"In 1, 2, 3!" he yelled.
"Action!" yelled the director.
The camera panned to the fractionally orangish red, some passing birds, and the gentle breeze.
The couple's stroll along the park's trail was captured on camera.
A second camera records the couple's features as they grinned brightly and honestly.
"How is your day going so far?" Y/N asked the girl out of the blue.
She flashed a lovely smile. "So far, so good; how about yours?" As she looked into Y/N's eyes, the older girl responded.
Although they were almost the same height, Y/N was slightly taller than Jimin.
"It's also good."
The atmosphere was neither too tight nor too awkward to be in.
As Minjeong observed, She remarked, "Giselle unnie, I think they're going a little better this time, look at that," referring to their laidback energy.
Giselle smirked at them. "Don't you think they look a little too good together?" she posed the question.
The maknaes slooooowly turned their heads in reaction to the sound, showing only shock.
My Beauty - Gim Dong Hyuk
The two exchanged a few words as Jimin leaned on the mini bridge rails, "This is comforting," she admitted.
They were both dressed in all white, with white buttoned shirts and white pants.
Their attire gives the impression that heaven is directly above their heads.
Y/N nodded and said, "Yeah, it is, and I feel relaxed." She was looking up at the sky.
Jimin also noticed this and swiftly focused on the orangish red.
"Don't you think the sunset is a little too beautiful right now?" She questioned the soon-to-be wife.
"Yes, that's right" Y/N replied in a whisper since she couldn't take her eyes off Jimin.
Jimin observed something about the park's appearance as they continued to make their way down the walkway.
Some of the trees appeared to have strings of fairy lights draped from their branches.
Which Y/N and her team members decorated themselves.
Rose and lilac petals in a variety of colours may be seen on the walk-down route.
When they arrive at a circle space with a heart-shaped pattern of flower petals on the ground.
The Aespa members were completely surprised as Jimin covered her mouth with both hands.
With a timid smile, Y/N slightly extended her arm to demonstrate all of this.
As she didn't particularly like the girl, she wasn't expecting this kind of proposal from her.
She was moved and touched by this gesture, and as a result, her eyes widened and she began to cry a little.
Y/N had to smile because she simply couldn't help it.
She moved closer to the woman she was ready to ask to marry her and declare her love.
With the grandeur of the 5:37 PM sky, this is literally the perfect way to propose marriage.
At this time, the sky becomes a shade of purple and orange, birds fly back to their nests, and the stars become apparent.
A beautiful, romantic piano piece playing in the background illuminated the fairy lights, making everything better.
In all honesty, everything was very uncomplicated.
Y/N said, "Your hand," and Jimin reciprocated by extending her own hand.
Their hands were clasped together as Y/N moved slowly towards her.
This is insane, but it must be done. "I know, this seems absurd, but it is what it is," she eventually opened her proposal.
"I can't believe I was chosen to propose you, even though I'd give anything to have you propose to me for this show because of how nervous I'd be."
Karina was in utter awe as she stared into the girl's face and couldn't believe how beautiful she looked.
Y/N raised her shoulders, "But the show chose me to do it, so I did whatever I thought was right," Y/N said with a relaxed expression.
Everyone on the set, especially the idols' members, felt as anxious as they did.
It felt precariously close to a cliff.
Everyone was amazed at how peaceful Jang Y/N appeared to be at this moment as she exhaled and laughed.
Her heart was about to burst inside her, and death was her only option right now.
Jimin gave her a radiant smile as her heart hammered inside her chest.
Y/N pulled a ring from her pocket and handed it to her.
"Will you marry me, Yoo Jimin?" Finally, Y/N proposed to the older girl.
Because Jimin had become speechless, she excitedly nodded her head with a smile she couldn't contain.
She let go of their hands and unintentionally gave Y/N a bear embrace.
As Y/N's arms around the girl's waist, her hands encircled her neck.
She whispered "Yes!" in response.
They received a wave of applause from everyone on the set, along with cheering and even shouting.
The smoothness of the proposal had the Aespa girls in a frenzy; they were high.
The park is going to turn a little dark, but the shoot isn't finished yet.
This was suggested by a crew member. "Now kiss!" she exclaimed.
The eyes of Minjeong expanded "Oh my God, what's going to happen?" She began to fear for her leader.
Ningning gripped Ningning firmly while asking, "Will they do it?" only a curiosity.
The couple was startled by it and swiftly distanced themselves from one another as things became awkward once more.
"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"
"Yah, kiss!"
Someone yelled, "SEAL IT," in a strong voice that seemed to ship this.
The director vigorously nodded his head in agreement. "Come on, let's do another take!" he exclaimed.
Y/N sighed and rolled her eyes. "This is so unfortunate, isn't it?" she said to the girl, who rolled her eyes as well.
They were facing one other and standing close to each other as they prepared to close the distance.
Another take was made in order to capture a video of them kissing, and their group members grabbed their phones to document this incredible moment.
Jimin wanted to break the arm of the person who had offered the kiss and was cursing them.
She gazed at her "fiance's" lips, then at her eyes, then back to her lips.
Y/N moved her face closer to Jimin's, her eyes settled on Jimin's lips.
Their lips were nearly in proximity, and Jimin's eyelids were almost closed as well.
Her heart was beating a little faster, and Y/N wanted to kiss her, but not right now.
Ningning began repeatedly hitting Minjeong; the shock and the fanaticism were thick in the air.
The expectations are a bit excessive.
Y/N decided to peck the girl on her nose which made Jimin open her eyes and stare at Y/N in disbelief.
She took Jimin's hand and slid the ring she had selected for her out of her pocket, and Jimin did the exact same thing.
"Marry me, alright?" Y/N asked, she simply smiled in response to her request to the girl, and Jimin nodded.
After that, she turned away because the take had concluded just a few seconds after they had filmed everyone's reaction.
The expectation, on the other hand.
Y/N smiled as she observed the stars, which were now all visible in the now-darkened blue sky.
She was simply anxious and totally shocked.
Jimin, meantime, felt as like she was about to pass out as her heart was actually about to explode out of her chest.
"Damn, you've got a quick heart," she said as she put a palm to her chest.
A heart of an athlete.
Just kidding.
She is now considering what else might inevitably occur between this proposal and whatever follows.

Haunted
Isaac walked into his rented room at the Faraday Hotel. He had been called in by the hotel's owner to investigate paranormal activity at the property. Several guests had reported seeing random inanimate objects begin floating, their belongings covered in ectoplasm, and hearing ghastly moans that kept them up at night. All of which made for an unpleasant guest experience.
Word had gotten around about the supposed haunted Faraday Hotel. The hotel saw less and less foot traffic as time went on as a result. In a desperate attempt to avoid bankruptcy and foreclosure, the owner called in a "self licensed paranormal expert and investigator," Isaac. Although that was his job title on his home printed business cards, he was actually just some guy with a podcast. But regardless of his qualifications, Isaac now found himself at Faraday Hotel on a job to solve the mystery behind the paranormal activity. Should he succeed, he'd see a handsome payment well into the thousands.
And so, Isaac had gathered his ghost hunting equipment and settled in.
Tumblr media
Isaac was pleasantly surprised when he saw the condition of his room. He had expected the hotel to be in shambles, especially since it was supposed to be haunted by ghosts.
“Mr. Faraday’s pretty serious about his business huh,” Isaac thought out loud while he unpacked some of his belongings. He had prepared for a weekend long stay so that he could stakeout what happened at nighttime.
Isaac unpacked his cameras and set them up in various points throughout his hotel room. He then powered up his laptop and turned off the lights so that it was pitch dark in the room. Isaac confirmed that his laptop was getting all the camera footage and that the night vision mode on the cameras was working properly. He then went ahead and turned the lights back on.
Isaac then laid out the rest of his ghost hunting supplies out on the bed. He had packed everything he needed; salt, holy water, spectrometers, a Ouija board, and among other things too.
While Isaac was busy setting up, there were three long, slim human-like figures appearing in the far corner of the room. The figures were red, blue, and green in coloring; and they all had a ghastly, translucent look to them. The group of ghosts were watching Isaac as he configured the rest of his ghost hunting equipment. Isaac had turned a spectrometer and begun to inspect the room. The ghosts gradually got closer to Isaac as he did so, and despite how close they got to him, the spectrometer failed to even register any of the ghosts’ presence. Isaac remained completely oblivious to the three ghosts watching and laughing at him.
“So...” the red ghost started. “What do we think of this one, boys?”
“I think he’s a complete idiot,” the blue ghost laughed. Blue was inches away from Isaac’s face; it kept tickling Isaac’s nose, causing him to sniffle and sneeze.
“I’m not a fan of this one... But, let’s be real for a sec, less and less fleshies are showing up to the hotel. When are we gonna get another chance like this again?” the green ghost said.
“Green’s got a point, I say we strike while the iron’s hot! I’m tired of being dead!”
“Really guys? We only get one shot at another life and you wanna use it on him?” Blue pointed at Isaac, who was sitting on the floor with the Ouija board in front of him. He had both hands on the stone and was moving it back and forth on the board.
“Beings from the underworld... are you here in the room with me?” Isaac called out. The three ghosts watched as Isaac waited for a response. They didn’t bother giving him one.
“See what I mean? I think we can do much better,” Blue said.
“I’m not saying this is the most ideal body in the world, but beggars can’t be choosers either. And besides, we don’t have to use him per se, we just gotta use him...”
Green huddled up the other two ghosts next to him. It began to whisper a plan on how they would use Isaac to start their next human life. Soon enough Red and Blue were cackling alongside Green, all while Isaac began getting cold sweats at the sounds of their ominous laughter. Isaac decided he had enough ghost hunting for one evening, and decided to call it a night.
Later that same night, while Isaac was sound asleep, Green had physically manifested itself in the room. It floated over to Isaac and waved its arm in front of him. Isaac only snored in response. Green then hovered just slightly above Isaac’s face, and after adjusting its aim, slammed straight down into Isaac’s mouth.
Isaac woke up from the impact and immediately went into a coughing fit as Green forced itself down his throat. No matter how hard Isaac gagged, he simply could not force the green ghost out of his mouth. Then with one final push, Green slithered down Isaac’s throat with a slurp. Isaac thrashed around on the bed as Green spread itself all throughout Isaac’s body, taking full control as it did so. Once his body was fully possessed, an evil smile crept across Isaac’s face as Green opened its new fleshie eyes.
Green hopped out of the bed and took the shirt off its new body. It let out a fox whistle as it ran its hands down Isaac’s torso. Green pinched one of its new nipples, causing a moan to escape as it felt the sensations of physical touch again after being dead for so long.
Tumblr media
“HEYYY! I CALL FOUL PLAY!”
Green turned around at the sudden yell and saw Blue and Red materialize behind him. Despite being in the middle of a possession, Green was still able to see its ghostly brethren.
“Why do YOU get first dibs!? If we’re really gonna do this then I demand I get my compensation! I’ve been dead the longest, I should be the first one!!” Blue shouted.
“Quit yelling! I’m the one who came up with the plan, and therefore I get first dibs!” Green said while sticking out its tongue.
“Who cares about that stuff, let’s just move on to the next step! I can already feel my new skin tingling with goosebumps!” Red said.
Green agreed, and proceeded to strip until fully nude while stroking off Isaac’s cock until hard. Green then bent over across the bed face down and hard cock pointing out of the bed from his underside. Green then spread Isaac’s ass cheeks apart with its hands, and revealing Isaac’s hairy, pink hole.
“Just be gentle, yeah? I can already feel pain and I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy hasn’t been broken in back there...”
“Yeah yeah yeah, I got it,” Blue shrugged while preparing itself. “Now YIPPEEE-KI-YAY MOTHERFUCKER!!!”
Blue performed a perfect swan dive as it dove into Isaac’s asshole. Green’s intuition was right about Isaac being tight, but although such a tight ass normally wouldn’t allow for an easy entry, Blue had dove in with so much reckless momentum that it forced itself in regardless.
“AHH FUCKK!!” Green cried out from the pain of the impact. Blue had flipped the whole body over onto the bed when it dove in. Isaac’s body was squirming while Green and Blue fought for control from inside.
“Uh... Am I supposed to go in now or...?” Red watched from outside. Neither Green nor Blue gave him an answer as the body kept wiggling around the bed.
Red noticed Isaac’s dick was still hard and swinging around. It then decided to jump in without waiting for a signal. Red hovered over Isaac’s rock hard cock and began slithering down the lengthy member like liquid through a straw. Soon enough Red’s entire being had been swallowed up and it had joined Green and Blue in the possession of Isaac, although it had walked into a fight for control.
“GET OUT! THIS IS MINE!” Blue shouted.
“NO! STICK TO THE PLAN GODDAMNIT!” Green shouted back.
“Guys guys GUYS! What happened to the plan!?” Red chimed in.
“FUCK THAT! I WANT A BODY TO MYSELF!! GET OUT!” Blue shouted.
All three ghosts were fighting for control over Isaac’s body. Isaac thrashed and squirmed on the bed as the three fought. There was no reconciliation for the three ghosts. Soon enough one ghost began kicking another ghost out of the body, and only for that ghost to come back in seconds later.
Green got kicked out through the mouth and re-entered through the asshole. Blue got kicked out through the asshole and re-entered through the dick. Red got kicked out through the dick and re-entered through the mouth. The three ghosts kept up this cycle of de-possessing and re-possessing Isaac’s body for several minutes. Isaac’s spasmed uncontrollably as the ghosts came in and out of him. Isaac kept coming in and out of consciousness for a brief period of a few seconds whenever there wasn’t a ghost inside of him.
“What...... Is.... Happening.... To..... Me...... !?” Isaac could only get out a word at a time as the three ghosts continued fighting for full control. All while Isaac’s body bore the full impact of the ghost fight. Isaac’s mouth, dick, and ass were being stimulated as ghosts came in and out of his holes; causing waves of physical pleasure to roll all throughout his body with his holes receiving the most sensations. Every possession added onto the fire of sexual pleasure Isaac was getting. After several minutes of nonstop stimulation, Isaac’s body couldn’t take it anymore and shot massive loads of cum all over the bed sheets. Isaac was gasping for breath as his balls were drained dry from cum, all while still getting endlessly possessed by the three ghosts.
“AND STAY OUT!!!”
Blue shouted in Isaac’s voice as both Red and Green shot out of Isaac’s body. The two ghosts were thrown into the puddles of cum Isaac had shot out just moments ago. The two ghosts had combined together in the sticky white puddle and fused together, both with each other and with all of the sperm cells. The two ghosts had been broken down into what a human body needed to properly function. All of Isaac’s sperm were coming together to form a new human body with the ghosts, each cell added a minute of age and a strand of DNA to the new body. Within minutes, what was once a puddle of warm cum had rapidly mutated and grown into a fully grown adult male made entirely of one man’s cum and two ghosts fused together into one.
Tumblr media
While Green and Red were fusing into a new body, Blue had fully settled itself into Isaac. It smirked as it felt its blood pumping throughout its new human body. It then walked up to the new body and flipped it off.
“Hahahaha, bitch! I get an actual body while you’re stuck being an overgrown cum stain!” Blue teased.
“Whatever, at least I get a body that I can’t be exorcised from unlike you,” the new man said. He lifted his arm, sniffed his pit, and quickly groaned at the smell of body odor. The body had gone through puberty within minutes and already reeked of a man’s body odor.
“Oh? Already using singular pronouns, little bro? You two really think you’re hot shit, huh...”
“Knock it off already! If we’re gonna live out our new human lives then we need to look convincing!”
“Suit yourself, Isaiah, but I think a big brother fucking around with their little bro is perfectly normal human behavior...”
Isaac then proceeded to noogie Isaiah, much to his dismay.
“Hey, you don’t get to name us! We get to choose our own name!” Isaiah shouted while getting shoved into Isaac’s armpit.
“Shut up Isaiah! Don’t disrespect your big bro like that!”
“God, you’re insufferable...”
And so, the two lived out their new human lives under the façade of being brothers. Blue got Isaac all to himself, while Green and Red got Isaiah. Although there were plenty of wrinkles they would have to smooth over in the future, the three ghosts’ little plan of getting another shot of human life went without a hitch in the end.

[It's a video! The one filming, as usual, seems to be Cross, who voices a low, electric "whoaaaaaaaa" as she films the legendary Reshiram, from its talons to the crest of its fluffy head. The dragon seems to be at rest, fluffing out its wings before the camera settles back at its feet on the three people in the room, standing tensely.
Two of them stand together--Tula, and presumably Vanilla, facing Vision in garishly purple robes. Tula's hand rests at her hip, where her sword sits, but Vanilla's position is a bit more diplomatic, hands open in front of them as if to negotiate. Even so, Tula speaks first.
"Where's your boss, Miss Ghetsis Wannabe."
"Boss?" Vision sneered. "He needs me more than I could possibly need him. He's off working on his special little machine, though. Apologies for disappointing you, little grunt."
Before Tula can bite back, Vanilla jumps in.
"So, to be perfectly clear... your plan is to use Reshiram to force people to release their Pokémon. While you have Reshiram captured. And you're saying you're better than Ghetsis was, because...?"
Vision shakes her head. "Hmph. Reshiram and I formed a bond of trust far before I captured them to ensure our plans could succeed. And I intend to give them their freedom, too. Is it truly so hard to understand that without Pokéballs, Pokémon could still choose to spend their time around humans? Or is that the only way you can envision your bond? As captor and captive? It would be one thing if all Pokémon chose to join their trainers before being captured, but can you say without a singular doubt that there aren't Pokémon trapped and abused in the current system? If it takes the fire of truth to bring about justice, then so be it!"
"Justice? Don't talk about justice when your 'plan' is going to hurt and kill innocent people and Pokémon!" Vanilla reaches for the sword at his own hip. Negotiations were through.
"If your idea of justice is so perfect, then you can burn with the people you're defending!"
At a swish of Vision's wrist, Reshiram flexes the length of its entire wings, a thrumming noise and a steadily increasing heat filling the room as it activates its Turboblaze. The camera-Pokémon moves closer to her trainer, as she fumbles trying to pick a Pokéball from her waist and hold her sword steady.
They whisper to their partner. "Tula, you should..."
She shakes her head, rejecting the thought of fleeing before it's even finished. "...I'm supposed to protect you."
As the ground, ceiling, and even Cross shake with the force of the charged power, though, the notably absent member of the fight appears with a flash and a Beheeyem, yelling loud enough to overcome the noise.
"In the name of-- do none of you care of what would happen if the ceiling collapsed in on you all, here?!"
Both Vanilla and Vision's fur stands on end. Tula pivots and breathes deep, holding tight to her own sword as Vision responds, her voice cold but even.
"Colress. I have this under control."
"We have an agreement, Vision. Our tools aren't yet prepared. The emotions. The setting... These are far from the ideal experimental conditions. Bide your time."
As Vision grumbles, and as he backs off from the impending attack, Colress gestures at the 'visitors'.
"Now, Beheeyem. Show our guests out, would you?"
As Tula steels herself and lunges at the scientist, yelling something along the lines of "Don't you fucking dare, you fucking--", the camera flashes with blinding light, and the surroundings change from the crumbling ruins of a castle to a lush forest. There's the distinct sound of a thud against the earth, the cry of a Beheeyem, and something hard and plastic hitting the ground before Cross reorients herself to the scene just in time to see Colress's Beheeyem teleport away, and Vanilla rushing to help Tula off of the ground.
"Shit. That must've hurt... are you okay, babe?"
Tula peels herself off of the ground with a sharp intake of breath.
"Yeah... I'm... It's all my fault, I couldn't..."
"No no no," Vanilla assured as a few Zorua wandered over to assess the scene. "You did amazing. We just need to figure out how to deal with that Beheeyem..."
One of the Zorua--the yellow eyes suggest Vanilla's nephew, Bach--nudges over a worn Luxury Ball.
"Huh? What is..."
Vanilla picks up the Pokéball, and the video ends.]

nonidol!hwang intak x f!reader
when summit poster boy hwang intak's car breaks down in the school parking lot, it sets off a chain of events that leads to you, someone he was perhaps always meant to find. the only problem is that the two of you are far from the ideal couple, and your peers are apt to keep that status quo.

SUMMER (RISING JUNIORS).
YN stepped into the cooler, darkened building of the repair shop and immediately reached for her towel sitting on the front desk. As she swiped away the sweat dripping down her face and neck, she guzzled down as much water from her bottle as she could intake at once. It was a hot day out, and usually there were fans set up in the garage area, but the electricity had stopped working three hours ago.
The door flew open, and Jongseob's sopping wet head of hair poked inside. "Hey, lover boy messaged you."
She rolled her eyes. "Stop snooping, Jongseob."
He smiled with a shrug. "Tell that to your notification sound."
"And his name is not lover boy."
For some reason, that made Jongseob's smile grow wider, but before she could question it, he ducked back outside. She knew that if she appeared immediately after him, he and Soul would never let her live it down, so she continued to take her time drinking water and patting herself dry. As usual, it was a relatively slow day at the shop, and her mom had left the three of them there to watch the grass grow. She wasn't supposed to be in any hurry.
When she finally stepped back into the garage, she was greeted by a wave of heat that almost knocked her over. She felt the sweat drip down the side of her face again, despite having cooled down inside just seconds ago. Jongseob's playlist of r&b hits filled the space along with the familiar sounds of metal fixings.
Soul and Jongseob were both at their respective stations, so she made her way over to her own station and picked up her phone. Sure enough, there were messages from Intak sent about five minutes ago.
tak: *sent a picture*
tak: one of my friends just got back from his trip and we're at the roller skating rink in the crossroads 👀👀👀 maybe i'll see u here later??? wink wonk
Yn smiled to herself, but tried to suppress it for the sake of her own ego and pride (and the two others blatantly watching her from their stations). She had changed the contact name from "jae" to "tak" a couple days after first reaching out to him. It had seemed natural to let go of the contact name and bring in something new; it was an attempt at moving along in the grieving process, if you would.
The image Intak had sent was a selfie of him in fuschia-toned lighting, most likely from the neon lights in the Crossro-ller Rink in the Crossroads community halfway up the hill. His black hair was tousled just slightly in an effortless sort of mess, but he wore a plain black T-shirt and a chain collar, his lips pursed at the camera. He didn't show which friend he was with, but it wasn't like she would have paid attention to him anyway.
"Awwwh, Soul look! She's blushing!"
Yn rolled her eyes again and blindly flipped Jongseob the bird over her shoulder. His cackles of delight echoed in the garage, accompanied by Soul's softer laugh.
yn's phone: i have to give it to u, i think ur getting better at this "being smooth" thing
yn's phone: but i have to work, sorry buddy wink wonk
The thought did cross her mind, even for a split second, to ditch the shop and go to the roller skating rink. Intak would never know who she was—just another poor girl crawling up from the gutter to skate around. The thrill of it energized her though, and she set her phone aside to get back to work with just a hint of a skip in her step.
Jongseob peered out from under the car he was tweaking. "You're so whipped; it's insane," he teased with a feigned gag.
When she stuck her tongue out at him, her phone dinged to announce another incoming message. And another. And another—
"Are you gonna get that or should I?" Jongseob gestured to her station table with one oil-stained hand. He grinned at her scowl. "You're so touchy, sheesh. Fine, but if it's important and you miss it…"
Yn grumbled under her breath and stomped back over to her phone. "You're so stupid."
"And you're stupid whipped!" He cackled, then ducked out of view.
tak: r…. r u mocking me or were the winks genuine…..
tak: wait where do u work :0
tak: ur missing out tho yk 😋
tak: *sent a video*
tak: wait wdym u THINK? i AM GOOD AT BEING SMOOTH
The new picture looked like the saved recording from a Snapchat story. It was him and Yoon Keeho skating around the roller rink beneath the combination of a sparkly disco ball and rainbow neon lights. He still looked as good as he did in the picture, and the video gave a top view that was angled downward over the two tall boys' heads. Yn had definitely seen Keeho and his head of dark blue hair around school before. From what she had heard through the grapevine, he had an awful lot of sass and character stored up in him.
yn's phone: that's confidential :l
yn's phone: looks like a lot of fun! haven't been up there in awhile tbh but i'll think about going soon maybe (^^ゞ
yn's phone: whatever helps u sleep at night tak 🤕🤥
The smile on her face slipped as she read her own messages back, though. Her eyes caught onto one phrasing in particular—the words "up there" yelled at her from the screen with about a dozen sirens blaring. She slapped a hand to her forehead. "Fuuuck."
Her friends peered up from their projects, eyes wide with curiosity and concern. "What? What happened?"
"I said to him 'up there' in relation to the roller rink. There's no way he doesn't know I'm from the Hollows—" Her words were cut off by Intak's own replies.
tak: "tak" 🥰😩😗🥺🫂 someone hold me that's so cute
"I guess not," Jongseob said as he peered over her shoulder at the message, Soul leaning over on her other side. "Man, that's disgusting. Even he's fluffy."
Yn scoffed and waved him off. "Oh, shut up you."
yn's phone: ur friend can hold u lmao
tak: u don't wanna hold me? 😔
yn's phone: if u figure out who i am, then sure ;]
tak: game on.
Though there was a part of her that wanted to get to know Intak like she had his brother, she knew there would be consequences. If he found out her social standing, it could lose her Intak, for one. Even though his brother didn't believe in following the foul classism and bullying his peers up on the hill participated in, that didn't mean Intak felt the same way. (Though, she wanted so badly to believe the opposite.)
It wouldn't matter anyway, right? Losing him? If he discriminated against her based on her income and where she lived, then he could screw off.
(It wasn't like she wasn't used to losing people anyway.)
Tumblr media
"Oh my god, who is making you blush so hard, dude?"
Intak's head shot up from where it had been buried nose-deep in his and Yn's text chain. He subtly moved his brother's phone screen out of sight as Keeho came to sit down next to him on the leather sectional. The two of them had come back to Keeho's house about an hour ago from the roller skating rink, legs and backs and behinds aching from hours of skating. It had been a breath of fresh air, getting out of the house. As vast as the Hwang estate was, it was never big enough. Intak had always felt suffocated, and perhaps that was partly because his father shared a living space with him.
"Hm?" Intak mentally willed his heart to calm down.
Keeho eyed him strangely, but his smile was teasing. He reached for the remote to unpause the movie on screen. "Are you still purging Jae hyung's phone? You've been pretty occupied with it ever since the last few weeks of school." Keeho tossed a piece of popcorn into his mouth, and Intak cautiously reached for a handful of the buttery treat for himself.
If "purging" meant keeping in contact with one of his older brother's old friends, then yes. Because of Yn, he probably spent more screen time on Jaehyuk's phone than on his own device. "Yeah, I guess you can say that. Just lots of stuff I didn't know about him."
Intak sunk into the couch and tucked the phone away into his pocket, albeit reluctantly. It almost seemed unfair that Yn knew more about him than he did about her, but he was sure there was a good reason for it.
Well… especially if his hunch was correct.
The movie on screen wasn't very interesting, to be completely honest. Intak had seen it about a dozen times before, but it was the movie Keeho had chosen randomly with the Amazon fire stick thing, and he pretty much stuck with it because he didn't know what to watch either.
Intak suddenly cleared his throat. "Can I… ask you a question?"
Keeho glanced over at him. "Of course. What's up?"
"What do you think about the Hollows kids?" He asked slowly, choosing his words carefully. He tried to pose it as neutrally as possible; he had never really gotten a clear stance from any of his friends about what they thought about the people who lived down the hill from them, but generally, they never seemed against the Hollows kids. At least, they never went out of their way to "show them their place." Those were the obnoxious people from their social class whom Intak was pointedly not friends with.
Come to think of it, Intak hadn't gotten a direct answer from his brother either. But then again, Jaehyuk had never been much of a bully sympathizer or bystander.
Keeho raised his eyebrow as if surprised by the question, which wasn't completely unexpected. "Uhhh—I think they're fine. Like the whole community discrimination is a little stupid, but…" He shrugged, "They can bark as long as they don't bite, y'know."
Intak pursed his lips together in a slow nod.
"Why do you ask?"
"Oh—uh, no reason." Intak shifted. What did that answer even mean? "Just curious."
His friend bobbed his head. "Okay… well, if they look at me funny, I'll look at them funny, too. I dunno, dude. It's hard to explain, but if I don't have to get involved, then I won't. You know it's complicated."
Intak supposed he could… live with that answer. It wasn't like he fully accepted it either. After all, he didn't even know what his answer would be... Right?
If faced with the opportunity to befriend someone from the Hollows, would he follow his damn heart or succumb to peer pressure?
Tumblr media
This felt illegal.
Intak sat behind his desk at home, hair damp from his recent shower, his laptop opened to a new web browser. He was searching for car repair shops in the Hollows region, something that had been poking at his brain since the roller rink. He didn't know if Yn had even realized she had said "up there" in regards to the roller skating rink, and to be honest, it wasn't until the third time he read the message that it finally clicked in his brain. (Sue him, he had the nickname "Tak" stuck in his head like some fool.)
It didn't really make sense that Jae would have gone all the way down to the Hollows to get a luxury, vintage car repaired and maintained, but because Yn and Jae had met over the phone, it was just a little more plausible. There were a few holes in his theory, clearly, but it was all logical. Actually, the more Intak thought about it, the more it made sense.
There were a couple repair shops in the Hollows, but only one of them was family-owned and not a chain. The name was something along the lines of Ln's Auto Repair—simple and to the point.
He was seconds away from whipping out the academy yearbook.
yer a wizard yn!: ayo r u alone rn?
Intak bit his lip in a poor attempt to hide his smile.
jae's phone: oh so u wanna get me alone?
yer a wizard yn!: u said u almost got caught by ur friend AGAIN earlier õ_ó
jae's phone: and she CARES!! 😩🙏
yer a wizard yn!: smh T-T
jae's phone: admit that u deflect my flirting bc ur flustered
yer a wizard yn!: u were flirting????
jae's phone: that's so hurtful.
yer a wizard yn!: plus, i bet u get flustered easier than i do, hwang intak
yer a wizard yn!: i bet ur blushing so hard rn 👀
He instinctively pressed the back of his hand to his cheek—and goddamn, it was hot. He wasn't about to admit that though.
jae's phone: not the government name 🙁
yer a wizard yn!: ahh look who's deflecting now 🤭
jae's phone: … touché
He paused, biting his lip. Hey, btw…|
No, he thought to himself, spamming the backspace button with his thumb. But why not? He was already searching it up—it didn't feel right without asking her first.
jae's phone: okay i don't wanna come off as stalkerish but…|
Before he could finish his text, Yn's own popped up.
yer a wizard yn!: anyways the reason i came to bug u was bc i m bored :l
A small laugh fell from Intak's lips. Omg ur finally reciprocating my feelings?? :')
yer a wizard yn!: bro what feelings 😭😭
jae's phone: ur literally so mean to me 😔 y am i here to suffer huh
yer a wizard yn!: dunno dude it's cuz i'm cool B)
jae's phone: not w that emoji ur not 💀 what r u? 60???
yer a wizard yn!: experience-wise, yes
jae's phone: and humor-wise 🤕🙁
jae's phone: a little concerning tbh
jae's phone: but ur bored? lol i thought ur usually w ur friends?
He was usually the bored one because his own friends were with their own families and away from this damned place. Intak technically knew a vast sea of people, but it didn't mean he really knew them. He hadn't smiled while talking to someone new like he did with Yn since he first met his three best friends. Crazy how one could feel so alone in an ocean of people.
yer a wizard yn!: they had to go home to help their families w some stuff lol so im just here ig
yer a wizard yn!: my mom's busy w work rn too so i have the house and it's so quiet haha
jae's phone: r u trying to make moves on me rn 👀 insinuating that the house is empty ;))
jae's phone: JKJK IM SORRY IF THAT MADE U UNCOMFORTABLE KSFBJEBFJRJF
yer a wizard yn!: dude do u just flirt w everybody is this a reflex or something 😭😭😭😭
jae's phone: n,,no just u :')
yer a wizard yn!: tak, honey, r u stuttering thru text T-T
Intak leaned back in his desk chair with a soft giggle.
jae's phone: yes my honey bunches of oats 😚 i did stutter
yer a wizard yn!: damn ??? okay 😭 (honey bunches of oats huh 🤨)
jae's phone: do i make u speechless, snookums
jae's phone: or how about sweet lemon drop daisies
jae's phone: lovey dovey partridge in a pear tree?
yer a wizard yn!: HELLOAKDJKS 😭😭
jae's phone: hUH? WHATS THAT? U LIKE THE NAME SNOOKUMS???
jae's phone: i'd change ur contact name to snookums, but i like the hp reference :/
yer a wizard yn!: i don't think i've laughed that hard in awhile tbh 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
yer a wizard yn!: where tf dID U GET ALL THOSE ???
jae's phone: wdym snookums :(( they came from my love for u
He unconsciously raised his hand to his face and felt the scorching hot skin there. Yeah, he was so far gone. Maybe a glass of ice water would do him well.
yer a wizard yn!: okay,,, i think i've calmed down now 🤧🤧
yer a wizard yn!: were u doing anything interesting before i interrupted 🤩🤩
jae's phone: yes yes very important stuff o7 top secret info
yer a wizard yn!: who's the vague one now :// lol jkjk
Intak's eyes moved back to his laptop, of which the screen had faded to black. He moved his fingers over the trackpad to wake the device up and display the page for Ln's Auto Repair again. This felt like—was—an invasion of privacy.
jae's phone: okay uhm… don't be mad
yer a wizard yn!: uhhhh haha that's not very reassuring 😅 what'd u do lol
jae's phone: okok uhm im so sorry but i promise i don't stalk people for fun and i was really curious and i noticed that earlier u said that the roller skating rink was "up" from where u were and i figured u were prob in the hollows, so i looked up the auto repair shops in the hollows… and i think i might have found yours?
jae's phone: ik this was an invasion of privacy, i feel so bad
jae's phone: pls don't be mad
Intak dropped the phone onto his desk with his eyes pinned to the screen, waiting for her answer. He bit his lip, knee bouncing frantically. The dots would appear and disappear, then reappear again.
Finally, he watched Yn's reply come in.
yer a wizard yn!: it's… actually kind of relieving ? in a way
yer a wizard yn!: i actually noticed my mistake earlier too but i figured since u didn't say anything about it, u might not have noticed, but ig i shouldn't have underestimated u haha
yer a wizard yn!: so,,, this is it then?
Panic seized his chest, and he picked up the phone so fast it almost fell right out of his hands.
jae's phone: WOAH WOAH WAIT
jae's phone: hey what's wrong? no this isn't **it**
yer a wizard yn!: well u know im from the gutter now right lol
jae's phone: and?? y should that matter to me
jae's phone: yn i don't care that ur from the hollows like u literally don't care that im from the hill right?? and my brother didn't care either and u had no problem being friends w him too
When she didn't respond for a couple of minutes, Intak felt the furrow in his brows as his thumbs raced over the phone keyboard to type out another message.
jae's phone: call me?
He pressed the button to send the message and left the phone on the desk, waiting for the phone to ring. His knee would not stop bouncing to save his life, and so he turned the phone screen off and busied his hands and eyes by looking through his mess of an email inbox. Every few seconds, his eyes darted to the phone, however, the screen remained dark and still. No answer, no phone call.
Just silence, and the palpitations of his nervous heart.
He screwed up, hadn't he? He had just scared her off—and that in itself messed with his head.
He was about to give up for the night—maybe resort to finding a drink downstairs and curl up with a movie—until the dull vibration of the phone jolted him out of his chair. He fumbled with the slim device, and somehow managed to accept the call.
"Hello?" He answered, almost breathlessly.
Yn's throat cleared on the other side, voice low. "Hey. Sorry it took me a couple minutes to call. I think I was just nervous." Her throat cleared another time and it sounded like it was accompanied by cracking knuckles.
Intak relaxed a little into his seat. "No, no, don't worry about it. I—" I was dying, "—take your time. I get it. I was just worried I scared you off." He laughed a little at the end as if he hadn't just experienced a self-induced heart attack.
"No, don't worry," she rushed to reply. "You didn't scare me off. I think I do a good enough job at that already."
He turned on speaker mode and placed the phone on the desk so he could fidget with his fingers. "Ah… if it makes you feel better, I feel the same way—scared, I mean. And I really did mean what I said… with the not caring about you being from the Hollows."
A beat passed. "Thanks, Intak. That's… really cool of you."
He nodded. "Right, yeah. Just the...the bare minimum," he said quietly with a flippant flick of his wrist. And it was the bare minimum, but in a community like theirs, bare minimum was a high standard when it came to classism and discrimination. "So—we're cool, right? We're cool?"
She hummed. "Yeah, of course."
A smile crawled onto his face and tugged at the corners of his lips. "Good. I'm glad." He leaned forward to rest his elbows on the desk with his cheeks leaning on the palms of his hands. "Listen, Yn... you can be comfortable with me, I hope. I—I hope you can feel safe with me like you did with my brother."
His heartbeat thundered in his ears almost as loud as the volume of the call, and his cheeks were aflame beneath his palms. It was a marvel how one person could make him feel this way. Hearing her voice sent a course of tingles down his spine, made his toes curl. It was a feeling not entirely foreign, yet completely new at the same time.
"Thank you," was her soft reply. "I hope so, too."

Christmas in August, part 1/5
Newlyweds Shane and Chloe have just added a new extension to the Bartlett-Fleming-Morris family, but when it seems the couple won't be able to make it "home for the holidays", Tim comes up with an idea to make their first extended family Christmas happen.
Characters: Shane, Chloe, Tim, Miranda, Jack, Lisa, Amy, Lyndy, Lou, Katie, Nathan, (Paul).
A/N: Set around the time of the season 17 finale.
****
The sun was setting behind the treeline on a late August evening and it lit up the silhouettes of the wild herd of horses that were grazing not too far away from the wedding that had taken place where Amy's plot of land laid.
Most of the guests had already left, but not before sharing their praises about how wonderful "the avenue" had been and saying how they had never seen a wedding as beautiful as this.
The only ones lingering where the core family. Even Chloe's parents had returned to Calgary where they had a rented apartment for few days. They were planning to join the happy couple when they'd go and explore the area in just two days.
The newlyweds, Shane and Chloe, had been pleasantly surprised just how well the wedding had gone after all the pitfalls they had had to endure before Amy and Lou had come up with this solution to use this location for the celebration.
The place had been ideal with its scenery and the living backdrop of wild horses minding their business behind them. The playing of the violin and the cello had been a nice touch as well, but now that the artists had packed their instruments and left, the family could hear the birds chirping and the distant whinnying echoing in the valley.
It was a perfect way for the family to wind down after the wedding.
Chloe stood next to Shane, admiring the view and wearing his suit jacket over her bare shoulders, sipping the last of the champagne while the chairs were being folded and decorations were taken down behind them.
Jessica took a quick snapshot of the relaxed moment, hoping to capture something real. When she examined the results on the screen of her camera, it was easy to see that with this couple capturing their love came easy.
"Should we go and give them a hand?" Miranda, the mother of the groom, asked from Lou, pointing toward the crew that had rented the chairs and the wedding arc.
Lou shook her head, holding a bottle of champagne on one hand and her glass on the other.
"I asked, but they said they were fine", Lou replied. "More champagne?" she then offered, seeing there was still something left in the bottle.
"Don't mind if I do", Miranda said with a smile.
Not too far away, Amy was pushing Lyndy in the swing, taking turns with Jack, Lisa and Katie. The girl couldn't get enough of it.
Meanwhile, Tim stepped closer to the newlyweds.
"I don't think I said it yet, but welcome to the family, Chloe", Tim said, coming in to give his new daughter-in-law a hug. "Officially."
"Thank you, Tim", Chloe replied, hugging him back, careful not to drop Shane's jacket.
Shane watched them hug, feeling very happy in this moment.
"So, now that your plans about London have changed..." Tim began talking when they leaned backwards, "I would like to invite you over for Christmas. -- We can make that happen, can't we, Lou?" he looked over his shoulder, toward his older daughter.
Thankfully Lou had picked that up and continued the plan.
"Oh, absolutely. I can make the arrangements. It would be fun to have us all together for the first time like this", Lou joined her dad's idea, putting away the empty champagne bottle.
"Exactly", Tim nodded. "I mean, Chloe, you really want to see the Dude Ranch during the winter too."
Shane and Chloe both smiled politely - thankful for the invite - as she returned to him, but it seemed like something was holding them back.
"Well, actually", Shane began, loving how excited his dad was about the whole thing, but feeling the awkwardness of having to decline the offer. "We are going to be spending our Christmas and New Year's in China, with Chloe's extended family. I haven't really had a chance to meet them properly and--"
"--we're going to have this tea ceremony and a banquet over there as well", Chloe stepped in to help Shane explain.
"Oh..." Tim said, smiling, but the twinkle in his eyes dimming. "So... you'll be gone for... how long?"
"The whole of December and the first week of January as well", Shane explained. "You know, since we're going there, we might as well stay for a while."
"I'm just glad we've both been able to make it work with our jobs", Chloe added. "I know it wasn't exactly ideal for me to go in with the offer from Philly and say "I can start in January", but... I think they really want me, so..."
"Right, right", Tim kept repeating as he nodded. "So, are the holidays a big thing there...?" he wondered, not really knowing much about the culture, but figured it was about time to change that.
"Actually, not really. It's more like a commercial thing, say, like Valentine's Day, almost. But..." Chloe began to explain, but then laughed a little bit, wondering if maybe Shane's side of the family wasn't able to understand the next bit.
However, now that she gave it some thought, they had been very helpful with making sure that her culture would be presented in the wedding ceremony along Shane's.
Especially Lou who had made a list of things Chloe had wanted to incorporate to the wedding, and she really had delivered them all.
So maybe they were going to be understanding of this, too.
"My grandmother has consulted a fortune teller", she finally said. "So the timing of our visit is really important."
"A fortune teller...?" Jessica asked, curiously, beating Tim to the punch.
"Yes. About the timing for the tea ceremony and the banquet. It's about bringing success to our marriage", Chloe explained further.
Tim nodded, even though he had never heard about it, he could understand why these type of traditions were important to people. He had his own traditions too, after all, some of them very spiritual.
Miranda followed the look on everyone's faces, reveling in the fact that she knew all about it already.
"Oh yes, Shane even had to let them know his birthday details, zodiac sign and everything", she then shared, recalling Shane coming to her to ask about the details he wasn't aware of.
While Shane's birth had not been the perfect memory at the time, as she had been alone in a hospital room, trying to bear the cramps and the contractions while nurses and midwives had been prepping her for what was about to come.
All Miranda had wanted back then had been someone there to support her through the labor, but it had just been her and the hospital staff and just like that, a new chapter in her life had begun.
Now, looking at what a fine young man Shane had turned into, all those memories felt distant in the light of the pride she was beaming with now.
"That's really interesting", Tim said - and meant it too. It was his disappointment about the plan not coming to fruition that made it seem like he was just saying that to sound polite.
"Well, maybe we could make this happen next Christmas then", Lou suggested.
It was a bummer her brother and his new wife couldn't make it over this Christmas, but there were other years now that they were reunited again in a more meaningful way.
After all, she could understand how important meeting Chloe's extended family probably was for Shane. Even though her first time meeting Peter's parents had not been perfect, it had still been an important milestone in their history as a couple.
"You know, if we give you the heads up now, we might actually make this happen then", Lou added.
Chloe nodded along.
"Sure, that sounds fun", she said and looked like she was already excited about the idea. "I'd love to see your traditions and Heartland and the Dude Ranch during winter!"
"It's like a winter wonderland, honestly", Shane knew from experience. "Even though it gets bitterly cold, it's beautiful."
"I believe it", Chloe said, letting her hand rest on Shane's chest as they were standing side by side.
Her eyes drifted toward the two bands on her left ring finger and she couldn't help but smile, slowly realizing how it was all official now. The diamond is her engagement ring probably sparkled just as brightly as the fresh snow during Alberta winter.
"I'm just so glad I was able to show you this place - these people - and get married here. It means so much to me", Shane said to Chloe, getting lost in their own little bubble for a while.
"Me too. I know you tried to paint the picture of it all, but you really didn't do all of it justice. I don't know if anyone can..." Chloe said, sighing out of an awe. "There is one thing I feel like was missing, though... Someone I've heard endless stories about."
"Oh yeah? Who's that?" Shane asked, wondering who was not here.
Ty, of course, Shane thought, but Chloe knew that he had passed away few years ago, so him missing the wedding wasn't surprise in that way.
"Didn't you say you had a horse?" Chloe teased. "I guess now that I know how to ride, it would have been cute to go and have a ride together with your very own horse, my cowboy..."
"Oh, Pal!" Shane let out a laugh. "Yeah... I did have a horse. He might not be around anymore, but I'm sure we can still go for a trail ride tomorrow. -- Right, dad?" he checked.
Tim was in his own little world too, thinking back to those times when Shane had still been a little kid - learning how to be a true cowboy - and now the only thing reminding Tim of that was the belt buckle Shane had decided to wear with his suit.
"Dad...?" Shane repeated.
Tim's attention was now back to his son as he lift up his head. "Yeah?"
"We can still go for one last ride tomorrow, can't we? This time Chloe can join us", Shane said.
"Yeah. Of course. Absolutely", Tim assured them, smiling.
The laughter behind them, coming from the swing, had gone quiet a little while ago, but no one had taken notice yet, not before Amy walked over with Lyndy in her arms.
The young girl looked fatigued and pale.
"Lou, can you feel Lyndy's head?" Amy requested.
Lou turned to feel her niece's forehead, seeing the worry on her sister's face already.
"She's burning up", Lou confirmed Amy's suspicions.
"That's what I thought", Amy said, worrying over her daughter. "I'm going to have to cut this after celebration short, but before we go, I just wanted to say that the ceremony was absolutely beautiful and you looked amazing on Powder, Chloe", she added, rubbing Lyndy's back gently.
"Thanks", Chloe said, feeling both honored and worried over Lyndy. It was impressive how quickly she had gotten attached to this family already. "I had the best teacher."
"You're a good student", Amy praised with a smile.
"Is Lyndy gonna be okay?" Chloe had to ask before they'd leave.
"Yeah, I'm sure she will be. She probably just needs rest. Might be a sun stroke, or something", Amy suspected as they had been outside almost the whole day. "I'll ask Grandpa and Lisa to give us a ride back home. -- I'll see you before you leave", she continued, giving Shane a meaningful look, letting her brother know that she didn't want him to leave before they had said their goodbyes.
"Feel better soon, Lyndy", Shane said, gently stroking Lyndy's head. "And see you later, sis", he added to Amy, making sure he'd hold her to it.
"Maybe it's time to wrap things up for us as well", Lou figured, fishing Katie under her arm when her daughter walked back from the swing as well.
"Probably best for all of us", Shane said.
They still had their wedding night ahead of them, even though right now he felt exhausted from all the nerves that had not released until he had seen Chloe ride down the aisle on Powder.
"We'll give you guys a ride", Miranda said, finishing her champagne. "I'll go find Paul. He had to take a phone call", she added, rolling her eyes.
Everyone started collecting their things, making sure they'd leave the place as they had found it.
"I'll see you tomorrow, son", Tim wanted to say and gave Shane's shoulder a light squeeze.
Shane smiled. "Yeah. Can't wait for that trail ride."

Romania was such a cliche place. Not just for it’s lore and scenery, but for it’s people. It was such a stereotype of Eastern Europe, from it’s castles to it’s nightlife to it’s moderate intolerance for ‘different’ people. With dark skin and African features, a casual and friendly attitude, and what constituted as an ‘American’ accent, Jazzmyn faced her fair share of discrimination and microaggressions in her daily life, but was nothing she hadn’t gotten used to when she was living in Russia.  Still, she found the irony hilarious. While it was mostly older people, the fact that anyone at all could be offended in this country but someone different than them when there were monsters walking among them was hilarious. For all it’s cliches, by far the biggest was just how many blood drinkers occupied the country.
Much like Russia, Hungary, Poland, and Bulgaria, Romanian was an ideal location for vampires to settle. It was dense in population enough to have a good food source without arousing suspicion,  It was easy to blend in with a crowd of pale, cold-skinned people, the nights were long, and varying other reasons culminated in it being a good place to call home. But those reasons meant nothing to Jazzmyn. There was only one thing that brought her here… The water. Apart from summer tourists walking to take a dip in the Black Sea, Romanian beaches were cold and unfriendly most of the time, which made it easy for someone like Jazzmyn, who longed folr the Sea’s embrace, to swim freely in her true form.
Being a Siren was no longer as easy to hide when mankind had spent a century developing all manner of tools to see in the water. What was once serene and peaceful was no disturbed by machines and cameras. It made it hard to hide in even the deepest and darkest trenches at times, but Jazz found that the more notable a place, the more likely the water to be occupied. It was for this reason that she left the major oceans behind to the navy and NOAA in favor of territories where people were less likely to swim or monitor marine life.
Such was one of those days, where tourists had begun to shuffle out of the country in droves, and the water began to turn to temperatures that didn’t bother her like they bothered humans. Swimming at night was always safest, thus Jazzmyn waited until the sun had begun to set for sneaking off to the little cave that led to the ocean. She stripped down to nothing before jumping in, the salt water changing her before she swam off. Though she could see a few small crafts in the distance, a storm warning was issued that would no doubt keep them close to shore. Jazzmyn avoided them by swimming down, deeper than most would dare to go in a single breath. Hours were spent diving for pearls and other treasures in a stereotypical fashion. It was night by the time she broke the surface, a breath released heavily into the air, the moon full, and the sky raining down on her. Lightning flashed across the sky, and not minding at all, Jazzmyn prepared to swim back to shore, when she noticed it.
A vessel, nothing commercial or grand, with a single light rocked and swayed on the agitated seas. Back and forth, so hypnotic and yet so worrisome. No one should have been out in something that small at this hour, and in a storm no less. “Shit” Jazzmyn swore. Unable to override her curious nature, Jazz dipped back into the water and made her way towards the boat. It couldn't hurt to take a glance, given that in the rain she would be harder to see. It was only as she got closer that she noticed a figure bobbing along the surface of the water. Swearing in her head, Jazzming sped closer to the person, a man face down in the water. He was for sure out of it, she reasoned, and didn’t think about the danger to herself as she reached him and turned him rightside up. Boat be damned, Jazzmyn used her speed to get him back to shore safely, the land abandoned, thankfully.
Once on dry land, Jazzmyn huffed. Her hands covered his chest, eyes closed, as she felt for the water in his body. Slowly, she guided the saltwater from his lungs and back out his mouth, turning him on his side as he began to cough and sputter. With a sense of assurance he could handle himself for a minute or two, Jazz pulled herself to the water again, rushing to the cave where she’d left her clothes and transforming again.  When dressed, the clothes stuck to her damp body as she rushed across the beach to where she’d left the stranger. He was easy enough to move with her strength, but still mostly out of it. It was better that way, as he couldn’t ask how a woman her size was so strong as she took him back to her place.
The small beachside home she made her own was not far off, and once she reached, she settled the man into her bed, caring little for the sheets and mattress that would be drenched as she grabbed every towel and blanket she owned and covered him with it. With hope, they would warm him and he would come to. Of course, until then, she would have to wait. With a heavy sigh, Jazzmyn went to her kitchen to put on the kettle before returning to the bedside, sitting on the ground beside him and waiting.
