Kairi’s Brother

You have been a part of each other’s lives for as long as you can remember. You were her only brother, all that was left of her life before you both arrived on Destiny Islands, but most of all, you were her best friend.

You stayed together through thick and thin; when Kairi lost her heart, you fought tooth and nail to get it back. When Kairi waited ages and ages for Riku and Sora to come home, it was with you by her side. And when she had enough of waiting, you went out in search of your friends together.

And when she made the decision to become a Keyblade Wielder, it was a decision you made together. You trained side by side, under the guidance of Merlin. Axel was there as well, despite your hangups on how he mislead you, Kairi trusted him, so you did too.

You went to the Keyblade Graveyard together, along with everyone else, for the final battle. Though neither of you thought it would end up like this...

In that moment, you were gone; shattered like glass in front of everyone’s eyes. Kairi didn’t know what to do; you had never been apart from her before! Except this time, you wouldn’t be coming back...

She didn’t- couldn’t, accept that. So, along with the help of her- your, friends, she vowed to bring you back, safe and sound. Having you gone was like a part of her was missing, as cliche as that may sound. She will bring you back and you’ll be together again, and everything will go back to normal... right?

you and almond cookie had been together for just over two years and it was like you’d never left the honeymoon stage

the two of you were head over heels for each other and not ashamed to show it with open affection and such — even if almond tended to get a bit flustered whenever you kissed him in public

he uses very traditional pet names for you — think ‘honey’ and ‘love’ — but the ones that affect him the most are the more modern ones you use, like ‘baby’ or ‘hot stuff’

he refers to you as his husband to others despite the fact that the two of you aren’t even engaged yet — it’s just a habit of his he developed since he knew you’d get married eventually

he introduced you to his daughter after your one year anniversary, but he’d of course mentioned having a kid since before your first date

the meeting is slightly awkward at first but she quickly opens up to you and starts talking about everything her dad has told her about you — which mortifies your poor boyfriend

similarly you share how often her father gushes about her accomplishments, which makes her start beaming

then you ask her about the cases she’s been working on

and that was the start of a beautiful friendship — and almond couldn’t be any more relieved if he tried

so needless to say by the time you’ve started the process of moving in, you’re very close with young walnut and you have fostered a relationship that encourages fun and open communication

you’re not necessarily an extra parent yet, but you’re definitely a trusted adult and you’re happy to help her out whenever she asks or needs it

like you’ll pick her up from school whenever her dad is ill or swamped with work

you’ll stay over at theirs and make her food and play with her if almond is away or forced into working overtime

you’ll tell her stories and tuck her into bed at night — even when she insists that she’s not tired through yawns and heavy eyes

and you’ll help her with her homework however you can

all that to say that it wasn’t unusual for you to be home alone with walnut on a school night — her dad having just gotten off the phone with her a few minutes prior

but what was a surprise was when she called out to you whilst you were making her a hearty dinner, frustration emanating from her words as she sat at the table behind you.

‘i really don’t get it… can you help me with this equation, dad?’

and then the room was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop

but you quickly regain your composure and respond with a quick ‘sure’ before moving the pan off of the heat and going to sit down beside her

she tries to apologise but you shush her and insist that you’re not upset, but you need to talk to her dad about if he’s okay with sharing the title

and you make a joke and she laughs and everything’s back to normal

you walk her through the equation she was struggling with then have a celebratory high-five and hug

you finish up dinner and both eat your share before you set aside a serving for your boyfriend

you watch a movie of her choosing

then you end the night with two chapters of her new book and a forehead kiss goodnight

and when almond gets home an hour or so later you greet him normally (with a kiss and a ‘hey babe’) and make him some dinner and discuss what had happened

he listens quietly and nods thoughtfully as he eats, considering for a good few minutes after you finish saying your piece before he speaks

‘are you comfortable being called dad by her?’

‘well, yeah but —’

‘then i have no issues with it. we can tell her the good news in the morning — this is really good by the way, honey.’

i chuckled and turned on my nintendo, playing the game super smash bros.

“how are you so good, m/n!?” i wheezed as i destroyed undyne, alphys, sans, papyrus and frisk, “he got it from me.” chara wrapped an arm around my shoulder with a smirk. “shut up! you’re not even that good at video games when we were younger!” asriel shouted.

“yeah! when we were younger!” chara countered, “chara, outside you said i could get my first gift? what is it?” i placed down my controllers with a mischievous glance, “oh, right!” he pulled out a small jewelry box.

“oh~ someones proposing.” frisk joked, “shut up, we’re still 16.” chara playfully rolled his eyes, “pfft!” sans looked drunk and laughed. “nice one kid!” frisk and sans fist-bumped.

i opened it up revealing a golden pendant, “i fucking love it.” i grabbed it out of its box, putting it around my neck, “he proposed! wooo!” everybody jumped up and high-fived each other, definitely waiting for this moment. i chuckled as chara’s eye twitched in annoyance, he took my hand and guided us towards our bedroom.

“now, the second gift.” he cradled my head in his hands as he leaned forward, placing his lips onto mine, my hands on his waist pulling him closer.

“i always forget your a good kisser.” i hugged him as he chuckled, “happy birthday, darling.”

El Dorado (Hunter!Reader x Nathan Drake)

Requested by @slowkib for  hello! I've seen your headcanon about nate drake x Male!reader! I love it so much thank you for writing it!!! And also, can i request Nate drake x male!reader, where reader is a hunter like in supernatural and sometimes have to go for a "trip" (actually just went for hunting) ok to the request, imagine nate's reaction that his boyfriend saved him from a monster(demon, vampire or other monster, it's up to u to decide) when nate went for a adventure for another treasure. And reader had to explain nate about monsters and etc.

It's hard to get out of the game.

Now, tell me whether this statement refers to your "retired" treasure hunter boyfriend or you, the "retired" monster hunter.

Sometimes, in the hunting community, there are events that occur that require the assistance of several hunters - and the Beast of El Dorado is one of those.

A powerful vampire, the monster shows up in the wilds of South America every 50 years or so and causes havoc unless it is relocked in a charmed location.

So you tell your boyfriend you'll be out for a couple weeks visiting friends. He nods and says he'll make sure the apartment is okay.

This is a lie from the both of you.

You're going hunting to help re-seal the Beast of El Dorado

And Nate is going to find the city of El Dorado itself.

Hunters don't tend to be the best when it comes to information. Most of them have little in the way of education and generally have few competencies in technology and such.

So Nate, who has experience reading maps and dealing with radar and checking historical documents, finds it far easier to look for and reach the hidden city before a large group of hunters who likely don't even speak Spanish.

Which means that although Nate finds himself in a city made of gold, he also is completely defenseless against the higher vampire living in it.

Nate is literally running from the vampire when you arrive, and it is just such a shock to see him there that he runs into you and knocks you over.

He watches in awe as you and the other hunters drive the powerful monster back

You have to time your shots and blasts of holy water to repel it, and force it back down into the ritual circle that contains it, all while the city's traps activate around you.

Nate helps the hunters avoid the traps, and leads you all safely out of the city after the ritual is complete and it begins to implode.

Apparently, this is par for the course for good ol' Nathan Drake.

"Hey... uh, you okay?" you ask.

Nate nods. "Weirdly enough, that's not the first time I've encountered something weird like that in an old ruin."

You chuckle at his reaction, because like everything about him, it's unexpected.

He is surprised to find how prevalent monsters are in the modern day, and a little worried, but...

"Wait, why are you laughing? Nate?"

"Sorry, sorry. It's just... I just realized - your secret job is WAY more dangerous than mine is!"

Nate's not going to become a hunter or anything, but he will insist you both be more open and not have secrets about what you're going to be doing.

And he suggests bringing you with him next time he takes a big expedition. You know - in case there's monsters.

• One more or one less wasn’t changing a lot at this point, this is why Master Eraqus accepted to take you as well as apprentice

• Your chemistry with the trio was good ; Aqua and Terra were older siblings figure to you because of the age difference

• However, they weren’t considering you as a “baby”, as someone less capable or anything, just... as someone younger

• They were practically acting like you like they were with Ventus

• Speaking of Ventus, you certainly were closer to the boy

• He was so friendly and kind that it could have been difficult for you to not befriend him !

• The blond was also attracted to you because you could both relate to how the two elders were acting with you

• You probably ended a few times to rant/vent about it sometime

• Even if Aqua and Terra were still young and enjoyed doing some activities, you did a lot more with Ventus alone ; they were still older and didn’t have the same hobbies, which was normal

• But then, it happened

• When you finally reunited with the trio again after all this time, you couldn't not notice how Ventus still looked so young

• When the (now) young man pouted to this comment, you all laughed together, like the good old time

• You wanted to catch up with them, but Master Yen Sid requested for you to train Isa, Lea, Xion and Roxas since you were a Keyblade Master and had experiences

• Roxas and Xion could wield a Keyblade, but both were now into a Replica body, changing all they could feel and their balances, while Xion needed to learn how to use a Keyblade as her own and not as a copy

• Lea was a different case, he sure could fight, but using a Keyblade was different

• And finally, there was Isa who wasn’t a Keyblade wielder and fought with a Claymore and Darkness for so long that he needed to re-learn everything

• Since Aqua was teaching Kairi, she proposed to you a few times to let the group spare together, or both of you teach everyone together

• Teaching different technics from different Masters wasn’t a bad idea after all

• Terra was sometimes participating too, after so long not being able to control his body, he needed to have a sensation of control over it. Training was a good method to do so

• Ventus was usually around too to help, catching up with you, or training as well. After so long to sleep, his muscles were a bit rusty

Hi! Can I request a headcanon for Susie and Kris (not separate please) reacting that their close friend!s/o in dark world is a mage with good magic attacks and s/o have a light spell that make a critical hit if the foe is a dark monster(litteraly all monsters in dark world. Except for Ralsei)

You guys didn't meet until much later into their visits to the Dark World, and actually met through Ralsei. He'd found you when you first came to the Dark World by yourself, presumably from the Light World due to the fact you've manifested as a Light Mage of sorts with light magic. Even though, miraculously, only Ralsei is the only one unaffected by it. However, even if this light magic is supposed to be an embodiment of pureness, well, he tells you not to use it, since it hurts people.

Kris was mostly indifferent upon meeting you. The meeting was about as standard as one could expect, with a silent exchange of words to boot. They don't really have any sort of interest one way or another if you decide to stay or leave them, it isn't his business. However, Susie is far more intrigued, and when Kris has no reaction, she takes up the reigns in their spot, she's far more emotionally proactive about it all... though, maybe not the most positively. She introduces herself, bluntly and with the most evident silent glare of "If you dare do anything to disrupt the group we've got, you're gonna regret it."

It takes a fair while for them to grow used to you being part of the group, but when they do, you guys are so close that it's as if you've all been friends your whole lives. Susie definitely shows the greatest amount of change, going from not trusting you with even so much as a pencil, to trusting you with her life. Not to mention, she's actually gone out of her way to protect you in cases and share food she gets with you (which is an extreme display of care). Kris... well, they didn't really change much. They aren’t much for really showing how they cares. The most they do is, say, Susie, Ralsei, and Lancer go a bit ahead of the group and leave you behind, Kris will hang back to see you get back with everyone else. Simple, silent gestures like that. They don't really do much else.

Since the only time you guys interact is within the Dark World, they take interest in the magic you have pretty easily. Susie thinks the fact your magic can do insane damage to any Darkner is pretty sick (which Ralsei does not approve of), and Kris agrees with a mere thumbs-up, more or less just to playfully make Ralsei more frustrated. Augh, what he puts up with for you guys sometimes. Susie desperately wants to see you try out your magic to see its strength, which Ralsei strongly forbids, even more so when Lancer jumps up to volunteer, also excited to see the magic. Kris is more or less just standing on the sidelines watching this chaos brew with no real intent of stopping it.

Needless to say, the the group of you guys is pretty tightly bound. While you haven't met either Kris or Susie outside of the Dark World, making you wonder if they're even real people, they're definitely some of your closest friends.

Wayfinder Trio first!

Luxu had picked Linn up, brushed her off, used his limited skills to comfort her, then quickly handed her a translation charm because no one understands Daybreakian anymore and Linn doesn’t speak whatever the modern language is now, and sent her to the Land of Departure for care.

Linn is just glad to get away from the Foretellers and bolts through the Lane portal (she’s wearing her Union Armor so its fiiinnneeee).

Ven finds her first because his chirithy started tugging him in her direction and then he just sees this battered 12 year old in dented keyblade armor bleeding onto the grass and panics and calls the other two and Linn would just really like to know what the heck is going on thank you very much.

Linn triggers some of Ven’s UX memories (by accident) and Ven becomes the only one she’ll talk to.  Aqua and Terra are flailing in the background.

The Land of Departure (not so) quietly gets a new resident. A skiddish, smol resident than can blow up a whole wing of the castle without breaking a sweat.

Sea Salt Fam:

Lea, Roxas, and Xion try to make the rounds of the worlds their other friends live on every once in a while because sometimes just meeting is person is better than talking over gummiphone. Isa stays behind because someone needs to watch the house.

And Aqua had also contacted Lea in a panic because she needed his Skillz in the babysitting department. Lea does not understand why everyone thinks he’s so good with children.

(Isa: Because you are, you mother hen.)

They get there and Linn is hiding somewhere and no one can find her and the trio put their head together and think “If i were a traumatized childe, where would I go?”

They find Linn in like. 5 minutes lmao. She was on the castle roof. They all sit near her while giving her space and Lea starts talking about his time in the organization, the good and the bad, and then Roxas and Xion start chipping in and slowly Linn just gets closer and closer until she’s right next to them and tentatively sharing stories in shaky Common (she’s learning!)

Lea is no longer allowed to think hes not good with kids.

Destiny Trio:

in some nebulous future where sora is back and everything is fine, Ven drags Linn to Destiny Islands because he’s adopted her as a little sister and Sora is like the best kind of friend to have and Linn needs friends.

Sora looks at her and looks at her Keyblade and just tells her, “You friends helped me out a lot when I was having trouble, and have passed on peacefully.”

and Linn just starts quietly crying. She spends the rest of the day making sandcastles with Riku and Kairi and running around the beach playing tag with sora and they all help teach her to swim because Linn never lived near the beach and doesn’t know how to swim.
