Author's Note: This is my first fic, holy cow. I've written others but this is the first I will be posting considering I have well over 200 notes on my Shownu appreciation post. I actually wrote this a few months ago but just go around to making sure everything makes sense. I do not have a Beta…because that was always what I did…I was a Creative Writing Major and since I have never been docked in grade for grammar or punctuation errors, I think I'm qualified.
Uh, you just learned a lot about me just by the fact that I wrote this >.>
I am cross-posting this on Archive under the same name. Please reblog! If you know anyone that would like this or future fics but they aren't on Tumblr my name and icon are exactly the same on the other two sites. Happy reading!

You stared at the ceramic cup on your bathroom vanity, the cheap blue toothbrush glaring back at you. It sat in there amongst your own teeth cleaning products, mocking you. The bright color stark against the black and white of everything else in the bathroom, even your own toothbrush. Reaching out you placed your own that you had just finished using in the cup and grabbed the blue one. Staring down at it, you weren't sure how to feel. It had been a few weeks now, since it's been used. And it never will be again. Blinking, then sighing, you left the bathroom, stopping next to the trash can outside the door near the kitchen. Your foot rested on the paddle used to open the lid, inhaling and exhaling, then pressing down. Your hand holding the toothbrush lingered over the gaping bin. Swallowing a lump in your throat you didn't expect to be there, you gripped the brush tight. Emotion whelmed in you, but you couldn't pinpoint what kind. Were you angry? Guilty? Sad? Fuck it. You harshly threw the brush in the can and let the lid slam closed when you took your foot off the peddle.
"What's with the aggression?" Hana called to you from the other side of the apartment where she was on your couch. She was rubbing sleep from her eyes as she sat up from her sleeping perch.
"Don't worry about it." You were still staring at the trash can, now closes. You heard her bare feet patter on the hardwood floor, and she comes up to you. She blew her nose into a napkin she grabbed from the counter behind the can. You stepped out of the way to let her throw away the used paper.
"Oh." Realization hit her. She saw the toothbrush, which was the only thing in there. You moved away and into the kitchen to get your coffee ready as she took a place on a stool at the counter.
"What even happened?"
"What do you mean?"
"Why did you two break up?" she asked you and you exhaled. Grabbing a coffee mug, you put the cup on the perch of your coffee maker and pressed the largest button. You didn't answer.
"Was he bad in bed or something?"
"No."
"Did he cheat on you?"
"No."
"Controlling? Possessive?"
"No. Not really."
"Then why? You don't seem all that torn up about it."
"It’s a bit of a relief…"
"A relief? Why?"
"I…I was pity-dating him."
"WHAT!?"
"Calm down. He had been in love with me for years, and I felt bad for turning him down so much…Also, I was, frustrated without Young Hoon being here…"
"So, you used him? That's harsh."
"Look, he wouldn't leave me alone, kept asking me out, getting me things. Might as well make it easier and say yes…"
"So, why did you break it off?"
"I didn't."
"He broke up with you?"
"Yeah."
"Why?"
"I told him."
"Told him what?"
"That I was pity-dating him…"
"Fuck. That must have been rough."
"Yeah." You stared down as the swirling liquid in your cup, having stopped stirring the cappuccino mix in.
"I felt so guilty, I had to come clean." You rested back against the counter crossing your arms, somewhat hugging yourself.
"Why? Why not just break up with him? You had to tell him?"
"Yes."
"What made you do that?"
"Because…" Your words get caught in your throat, the realization hitting you.
"B-because. I can't lie to those I love." Your voice cracked and her face softened.
"You fell in love with him."
"Y-yeah."
"Then why not stay in the relationship?"
"I don't want a real relationship with him built on a lie. I had to come clean." You stood up straight, ignoring your drink and going to sit on your bed. You buried your face in your hands, your throat caught as you swallowed, your eyes burned.
"Oh, girlie." Hana followed you, sitting on your bed next to you, and pulling you into a hug.
"I'm such a fucking horrible person." You sobbed, and she rubbed your back.
"I love him. I do. I was in denial. It hit me so suddenly and so hard, I think I must have felt that way longer than I realized. God, forgive me." you cried, and she held you. Her phone went off as your sobs subsisted as she went to answer it.
"Shit. I have to get to class. I'll message you later." She kissed your forehead and gathered her stuff, leaving your apartment. Leaving your cooling drink on the kitchen counter, you curled up in bed and fell back asleep.
~*~*~
"(Y/N)!" Hana slammed her palm on the door, ringing the bell a few times. She knew you were home. She could see your bag and keys on the table through the window. You hadn't answered her calls or texts for three days and wouldn't answer the door.
"Hana?" A man's voice caught her attention and she turned to see Hyunwoo coming up the stairs to get to the second-floor apartment.
"Shownu! What are you doing here?" She quieted her voice, not sure how you might react if you heard. She knew your recent lack of actions was due to the breakup, and your revelation of feelings for the man.
"I was going to get my stuff and leave my key." His voice was noticeably flat, and the woman couldn't read his expression.
"You have a key!" Your friend lunged forward, snagging the set of keys from his hands. She shoved the metal into the lock and opened the door.
"(Y/N)!" she shouted, storming in.
~*~*~
You buried deeper into your pillows and sheets as Hana banged on your door. You didn't want to see anyone, not even her. You felt you didn't deserve her comfort. You were a shitty person who did a shitty thing. You flinched when you heard a key in the lock, wondering who the hell was there. Hana didn't have a key, and only your aunt did as the landlord. You had given the second key to your ex…to Hyunwoo.
"(Y/N)!" The other woman's harsh shout broke the silence you had been dwelling in. You hoped your uncle was there too, who else would have let her in? You are jarred to attention as your friend yanked your comforter off of you and the bed.
"What?" you snapped, and she climbed on the bed, flipping you over and forcing you to sit up.
"You bitch! You left me on read!" She put you in a playful headlock and ruffled your unkempt hair. You had showered, but a hairbrush? Who is she? You shoved Hana off, and she got off the bed, stomping away. When she came back you heard another set of footsteps along with hers, too heavy to be your aunt.
"The only way you are going to get over this pity party you threw yourself is by telling the truth!" Hana snapped, dragging your now ex-boyfriend into view past the half wall that separated your sleeping area from the living room. He stood there, staring at you. You wouldn't meet his gaze. Hana moved into the kitchen, looking in the fridge and hastily writing stuff on your grocery list pad.
"I am going to go buy you food, you two better talk!" She pointed at you sternly, then at him, and then left. You are left in silence with him.
"W-why are you here?" Your voice was scratchy, your mouth dry.
"Came to get my stuff." He nodded toward the dresser drawer where his stuff was.
"Ah." You licked your chapped lips. You hadn't drunk or eaten much in the last three days. He could tell, he knew you well. He left your direct line of sight and went to retrieve a bottle of water from your fridge. He came back and jutted it into your face. You took it, not meeting his eyes. Your small sips turned into big gulps, the cool liquid a sweet relief.
"What was Hana talking about? You telling me the truth?" Luckily, you had swallowed before he asked so you didn't choke. Closing the bottle, you threw it further up your bed. You brought your bent legs up, your knees touching your chest. You chewed on your thumbnail, not knowing how to start.
"You wanna tell me why you broke my heart?" His tone was harsh, a tinge of sadness in his tone. Your breath caught, the stinging in your eyes came back.
"It would have hurt less if you just broke up with me. But telling me you only dated me out of pity? I love you; I have for years-"
"I had to tell you."
"Why?"
"I couldn't keep lying."
"Why not? You had been doing it for nearly seven months." His voice was sharp with anger.
"I-I cannot…" You swallowed a lump, fighting to not cry, "I cannot lie to someone I love."
You're not sure what his reaction was, you didn't look up at him.
"What?"
"I couldn't keep lying to you. I love you-" You didn't even get the chance to work up the courage to look at him. His hands went quickly to your jaw, hauling you close, up and out of bed. His lips found yours. The kiss was different from all those before. You could feel how strong his emotions were. He was rough, domineering, barely letting you breathe. His tongue wrapped around yours, sucking you in. He was practically bent over you, being nearly a foot tall, your neck tipped back far to make up for the rest of the distance. You whined, your hands gripping his shirt from under his jacket. Hyunwoo swallowed you and every little noise you made. As he pulled away, he bit your bottom lip, the tang of blood hitting your tongue. He stepped back abruptly, running his hand through his hair.
"Fuck. Don't play with me." He shook his head, and you sat back on your bed.
"I'm not. I didn't…I only realized a few days ago how I felt…"
"What am I supposed to with this, huh?" He paced a bit, roughing his hair up.
"Do what you want. Whatever you decide…" You drifted off, not sure what you wanted him to do. You wanted him to kiss you again. But you felt you deserved him leaving and never talking to you again. You felt he should break your heart, like you did him.
"Part of me wants to walk out of here and never think about you again." He finally said and the words pierced you. A tear rolled down your cheek.
"Another part of me wants to give you another chance…" You closed your eyes, willing the tears back.
"But there's something else I really, really want to do." You heard him come closer but refused to look at him. You gasped as his hands dug into the hair at the nape of your neck, pulling your head back, making you look up at him.
"W-what?" His lips were so close to yours and while you're not sure what he wanted to do, you wanted it too.
"Please, whatever you want." You whispered, but his lips didn't meet yours. His tongue doesn't stroke yours. His mouth went to your ear…
"I'm going to fuck you within an inch of your life." You gasped at his words, then found yourself briefly in the air as he threw you back on the bed. Hyunwoo tore his jacket off and finally brought his lips back to yours. His strong thigh jammed between your legs, rubbing against your core, covered only by your thin shorts. His large hand ran down your thigh, hitching it up to his and he grinded his growing hard on into you.
"Fuck." You whimpered as he pulled away from the kiss, a trail of saliva connecting your lips. He stared at you intensely till he dipped back down, He latched onto the weak point on your neck, under your jaw, almost your throat. His mouth sucked hard then he bit the flesh making you shiver. You lay there and let him do whatever. He left scathing kisses, sucking bruises onto your skin. They were everywhere: your neck, shoulders -once your shirt was off- your chest, breasts, ribs, stomach. He avoided anything covered by your tiny shorts, giving you more marks on your inner thighs. Your skin was on fire, and you didn't think you cum with just that stimulation, but you were close.
Hyunwoo sat back on his knees, pulling his t-shirt over his head and never before had you been so enthralled. Your type was normally guys that had a dancer's body and were pretty, nothing like him. He was devastatingly handsome and while you normally wouldn't care for the taught pecs, ridged abs and sharp v-line of his hips…He truly did look like sex incarnate.
You wanted to sit up, reach for his belt, pull his pants down and let him fuck your throat. But he was in control, entirely. You weren't exactly ever a dominant lover, not really even a switch, but this time it was wholly up to him what happened. Your mouth watered at the sigh for the first time though, your romantic feelings fueling your sexual ones. He undid his belt and removed his jeans, his hard cock tenting his boxer briefs. Was he always that big?
"Something wrong, pumpkin?" You could hear the smirk in his voice. Due to your previous feelings, or lack-there-of, you never really gave him a good look. He was just your brother's stupid friend. You were getting a real good look in now.
"Y-you, uh…" Your mouth watered.
"Wanna taste?" He gripped himself over the fabric and you nodded quickly. He huffed in amusement. Despite the fact you loved a dick in your mouth, you had never done it to him. Didn't let yourself, lest you get hooked. He motioned with his head for you to come closer and you crawled across the bed to where he stood at the foot of it. Your bed was the perfect height to allow your face to be perfectly level with his cock. You let out a whimper and he titled his head, watching in amusement. With shaking hands, you reached for the waistband of his boxers and carefully pulled them off. Your mouth watered as he was revealed to you.
"Fuck." You exhaled, watching his dick bob in the air as he stepped out of his underwear. Wiggling your jaw back and forth, you thanked the stars that so many strep-throat tests as a kid killed your gag reflex. You couldn't believe that he had been inside of you before. It made you wonder if your stomach bulged from his girth.
"You just gonna stare?" He stepped closer and you scooched the little bit closer you needed to. Wrapping your lips around the head of his cock, Hyunwoo exhaled in relief, and you groaned at his taste. You rolled your tongue around him like a popsicle, and he tipped his head back with a sigh. Without going much further than the tip, you sucked hard and pulled back. This made him bury his hands in your hair to prevent you from going anywhere.
"What?" He tilted your head to look up at his face.
"Fuck me. My mouth." You cleared your throat, and he blinked in shock before a devious smirk broke out on his handsome face.
"Really? You sure?"
"Please, please-" You opened your mouth as wide as you could, and he slowly thrusted his dick into your mouth. The deeper he went the more saliva built up in your mouth, starting to drip. The head reached the back of your throat and he moved to pull back his hips, but you stopped him. Your hands flew to his behind, pulling him closer.
"Fucking hell, (Y/N)." His voice had a hint of a whine to it. He was the perfect length. Your nose hit his pelvis, his cock buried in your throat, but not too deep. While somewhat restricted, you could still breathe when he would pull back; that fact made your walls clench, aching to be filled as well. You shuffled a bit, splaying your knees more, lowering you just a bit. This let him angle his cock down a bit more and you looked up at him expectantly. He practically growled at this and began to thrust into your mouth. Tears spring to your eyes; you weren't sure if it was from what he was doing or the fact that it was happening at all. Drool dripped down your chin, tears from your eyes, and wet from your cunt. You wouldn't be surprised if when he came -down your throat preferably- that you too would climax. His thrusts picked up some, got shallower and his grip pulled at your scalp. The slight sting from your hair, the fat head of his cock battering your throat, and the taste of his precum was sending you into overdrive. While not one for sado-masochism or bondage, a little pain was nice. In the back of his mind, Hyunwoo marveled at the fact that you had not gagged yet. He was too focused on the wet vacuum of your mouth to think about it too much though. The sight of your lips swallowing his swollen cock over and over was orgasmic in itself, but the looking your eyes was what sent him over the edge. They were glazed over in pleasure; you already looked so fucked out.
"(Y/N), can I come inside?" He grunted out and you moaned, wanting nothing more.
"Ah fuck." His hips stuttered and you felt the hot, thick cum spray down your throat. He was so deep you almost couldn't taste his release, which…Just. Kept. Going. You swallowed what seemed like over and over and over before he was done.
Hyunwoo pulled out slowly, his cock still half-hard. You caught your breath, finally getting a normal amount of air. Your core was quivering, and you knew you had cum as well from the amount of wetness stuck to the fabric of your shorts. That and your head was swimming.
"Oh, princess." He shook his head, breathing hard himself. You peered up at him with a dazed look and he had never seen you like this. He had seen you close to like this once, your true submissive nature blooming forth. He knew you would let him do anything he wanted, and man was there a lot he wanted to do to you. He had promised to fuck you within an inch of your life, and he was going to make good on it.
"What do you want me to do to you now, sweet?"
"Anything." You keened and he groaned. Then he remembered something. While you had never said it before, he knew you had a thing for hands. You had told him once he wasn't allowed to wear rings because it made his fingers look too good. How easily would you fall apart on his fingers? How many times could he make you come tonight?
"You still on the pill?"
"Yea."
"Good." He hadn't brought any condoms, not thinking this was going to happen when he left his apartment this morning.
"Scoot up." He ran the back of his finger over your cheek, still damp from tears and you scurried up the mattress. You lay back as he climbed over you; he watched you watch his hand move to your core. He raised an eyebrow as he stroked over the fabric of your shorts. You tended to get very wet very easily, but this was much more than usual.
"Did you cum?" He asked and you nodded sheepishly.
"Oh my god." He dove in, latching onto your lips, not caring that you had just been sucking him dry. Your teeth clacked against his from the messy kiss. His kisses moved from your mouth, down your neck and he settled on your throat again. You were already littered with hickeys, but he was ready to leave more. As he marked your further, he pulled your shorts off roughly, a slight ripping noise coming from the seams. He tossed the last piece of your clothing away, you never slept with underwear on. Finally, his fingers touched your bare pussy and you whined.
"Oh (Y/N)." He chuckled, burying two fingers in your hot cunt, his thumb finding your swollen clit. You released a long shaky moan, clenching around the digits. He found your weak spot quickly and your hips tilted up, your back arching. You wanted desperately for him to pull his fingers out and fuck you with his delicious cock already, but you refused to say anything. This was for him; he could do whatever he wanted to you, and you would thank him. How had you not realized that this man was the sexiest one on the face of the earth? The pads of his fingers rubbed against your g-spot in just the right way, and it was driving you crazy. His two fingers moved separately, the way they curled and thrusted making the sensations unpredictable. He added a third and spread them, getting you ready for his huge cock. You could feel the strength in his hands, you felt his knuckles rub against your walls, and his palm grinded against your clit.
"H-Hyunwoo!" Your hands landed on his chest, your nails digging into the skin, your release building faster than either of you expected.
"Cum for me, sweet girl." And you did. The breath was knocked out of your lungs, flashes of white dotted your vision. You heard him chuckle, but it sounded like he was far in the distance, rumbling through the air and cutting through the ringing in your ears. When you came down from your high, your vision sharpened and you saw him smiling down at you. He came closer, bumping his nose against yours, touching his forehead to yours.
"I love you." he whispered, and you hitched a sob, reaching up to cup his jaw. Your thumbs stroked the arch of his cheekbones.
"I love you too." He kissed you softly, his fingers leaving your pussy. His hands cupped your thighs, hitching them up to wrap around his waist. You pulled back from the kiss with a gasp as he stroked his cock against your cunt, fully hard again. Hyunwoo knew he was teasing you, rutting against you, covering his dick in your wetness but refusing to enter you.
"Please, please, please." You began to beg; you weren't even close to ashamed. You needed him inside of you, rearranging your insides, carving himself into you, ruining you for everyone else. His hands came up to yours that were still on his cheeks, wrapping his fingers around yours, and pinned them up by your head. With great dexterity, he shifted his hips and began to slip inside of you, still holding your hands. His lips hovered over yours, not quite meeting, your mouth hung open in a silent moan as he split you in half. Not only had it been a while since you two had sex; you hadn't gotten yourself off either. No fingers, no vibrator, nothing. He groaned as he settled deep inside of you. The head of his cock almost touched your cervix, your walls gripping him tighter than they ever had before. Your legs held him close, your ankles linked, it seemed your body refused to let him go. He just sat inside of you, giving you small kisses, letting your walls get used to the stretch. His cock was so deep, it felt like he was in your throat and the delicious burn of the stretch was addicting. It never felt this good before, you used to think the idea sex felt better the more you loved the other person was bull. No. You were in euphoria, and he hadn't even moved yet.
"Can I move?" he asked, resting his forehead on your collarbone. He really just wanted to fuck you into the mattress, but he wanted this to last as long as possible.
"Yes." you gasped out, preparing for him to knock loose your kidney but he barely pulled out and then slowly thrust back in, grinding his pelvis into yours. Even this slight movement knocked the wind out of you. The next thrust was a bit faster but just as shallow and his breath mixed with yours as he hovered over you. Not pulling out any further, his hips pumped hard, and you threw your head back. Hyunwoo moved his hands from holding yours to wrapping one around your wrists. His free hand moved to your lower back to shift you some. With your legs wrapped around his waist, when he sat up on his knees more your butt left the bed; he handled you into a near mating press. Somehow, he got deeper, and you knew if it was a thing, your cervix would be bruised.
"I don't think I can hold back anymore." He grunted; his eyes closed in concentration. What the hell were you in for if this was him holding back? He had never taken you like this before. You 'made love'. This, this was him fucking you, like he promised.
"Do what you want." you pled. He had stopped moving and you desperately needed him to keep going.
"You have anywhere to be the next few days?"
"No?"
"Good, because I don't want you to be able to walk when I'm done with you." He gave you a devious smirk, pulling away to rest back on his heels. His strong hands dug into the flesh of your thighs where they rested at his side, holding him to you. You let him move them and exhaled harshly as he forced your knees to your ears, completely and easily folding you in half. Still not moving his hips he leaned down so he could speak right into your ear.
"That pill better work good because I'm going to pump you full of my cum." He thrusted, hard. If your breath hadn't left your lungs, you would have nearly screamed. It wasn't a shallow hard thrust like before, no; he pulled out nearly all the way before slamming back in. You could tell how tight your walls were clenching him, desperately trying to hold him in. Not able to tell what part of you wanted him more -your psyche, your heart, or your cunt- you just knew you never wanted him to stop.
"Hyunwoo-" You weren't sure if you could say anything but his name, but his next thrust stopped all thoughts.
"I want my hand shape to be bruised into your skin." He clenched your thighs under your knees.
Another thrust.
"I want to brand you with the feeling of my cock in your cunt so only I can ever satisfy you."
Thrust.
"I want to fuck you on every surface of this apartment." As he recited every filthy desire straight into your ear, he pounded his fat cock so hard into your pussy, you thought he would split you in half.
"I want to paint your skin with my cum and then fill you back up again in the shower."
"I want to fill every part of you that I can. Your pussy, your womb, your mouth, your throat. If you let me, I'll even bury my cock in your ass and paint you white there too."
Your head swam with each word. He was always so sweet and soft before. This was different, he had turned into an animal, and he was determined to fuck you like one.
"I'll do it all. Everything I want. I promise, I will fuck you within an inch of your life."

When Another Member Accidentally Reveals Your Relationship ~ Monsta X Reaction
Shownu:
You smiled sheepishly as the boys walked off of the set, as you expected Jooheon was the first to walk across to you. “I’m so sorry,” he immediately told you, wracked with guilt after accidentally spilling.
“It’s alright,” you tried to assure him.
“I’m sorry too Hyun,” he added, spinning around to face Hyunwoo as he entered the room.
Hyunwoo’s head shook back across at him as the boys all took a seat, “as long as Y/N’s alright, then I’m alright too.”
“I don’t know what came over me, I didn’t even think about my response,” Jooheon groaned, pacing around the room, annoyed at himself.
You reached out and grabbed his hand to stop him from doing so, “you’ve saved us a job having to tell the fans about us.”
“Exactly,” Hyunwoo agreed as he tried to reassure Jooheon too, “and it’s something funny we can always talk about now too.”
Jooheon’s eyes looked between the two of you, “how are you being so kind? Shouldn’t you guys be mad at me right now?”
“We can’t change what’s happened, can we?”
Minhyuk:
The look in Changkyun’s eyes panicked Minhyuk as soon as he found him, watching his every move as he sat beside him. “Don’t look at me like that, I already feel bad enough,” Changkyun quickly asked of him.
“Bad for what?” Minhyuk questioned.
“I’ve done a thing,” Changkyun began, “all I wanted to do was upload the Tokyo photos to Twitter.”
Straight away Minhyuk began to pick up on what Changkyun was hinting at, “you uploaded something you shouldn’t have, right?”
“I quickly deleted it,” Changkyun defended in a flustered state, “but you know how quick the fans can be sometimes Min.”
A sigh came from Minhyuk, appreciating how apologetic Changkyun was. “Do you think one of them managed to see it?”
“I’d guess so,” Changkyun responded in a faint whisper. “I’ll do anything to make it up to you, and more importantly Y/N too.”
As soon as Changkyun stopped speaking, Minhyuk grabbed onto him. “These things happen, there’s no need to be sorry.”
“You shouldn’t be this nice to me Minhyuk.”
Kihyun:
He quickly became concerned as Hyunwoo sat down at Kihyun’s desk, his expression full of concern. “Have you got a moment? There’s something you need to know,” Hyunwoo asked him, his voice monotone.
“It sounds bad,” Kihyun nervously noted.
“It’s Y/N…and you,” Hyunwoo told him, feeling bad as Kihyun immediately sat himself upright.
The last of Kihyun’s smile faded away as his eyes stuck on Hyunwoo. “Has something happened? Y/N’s not hurt, is she?”
“No, it’s nothing like that,” Hyunwoo assured him, “it’s just the last video that got posted might not have been edited too well before posting.”
Kihyun’s brows furrowed as he continued to try and figure out what was going on. “Something got into the video that shouldn’t have?”
“There’s a scene with you and Y/N in the background, quite clearly sharing a kiss,” Hyunwoo informed him in a whisper.
A loud groan came from Kihyun as he threw his head back in frustration, “how could they have not been more careful?”
“I don’t know, I’m so sorry Ki.”
Hyungwon:
He hummed in reply to the knock at his door, glancing across to see Minhyuk smiling back across at him. “Is Y/N’s phone in here, we’ve rung it but we can’t find it anywhere?” Minhyuk innocently asked him.
“Your phone?” Hyungwon quizzed in reply.
“My phone? Are you deaf?” Minhyuk chuckled back across to him, only to see Hyungwon pointing.
Hyungwon’s head nodded as he tried to subtly get Minhyuk’s attention. “Yes, your phone,” he repeated as Minhyuk clocked.
“Yeah, is it here?” He asked, finally realising that Hyungwon was in the middle of a live, quickly changing the direction of the conversation.
Hyungwon had a quick look around before pointing across to the sofa, “I think that’s your phone over there, go over and check.”
“I’m sure that’s my one,” Minhyuk called out, sending Hyungwon a subtle glance to let him know that it was really your phone.”
A smile appeared on Hyungwon’s face as Minhyuk backed away, “maybe wait until I’m done before you come back again.”
“I won’t drop you in it next time too.”
Jooheon:
Their eyes rolled as the boys were asked the typical question in their interviewer, all looking between each other. “Come on, someone must have some juicy gossip about relationships,” the interviewer pushed.
“Well, Joo…” Kihyun began, then stopped.
“Jooheon?” The interviewer asked, picking up on it despite how quickly Kihyun was shushed.
“It’s nothing, my mistake,” Kihyun responded, stuttering over his words as he tried to try and change the subject of conversation.
The interviewer’s head shook back across at him though, “Jooheon, are you in a relationship? Now’s the chance to share if you are.”
“I might be seeing someone,” Jooheon sighed, smiling weakly across at Kihyun, “but that’s as far as I’ll share right now.”
Kihyun didn’t know what to do as he met Jooheon’s flustered expression. “Shall we go back to talking about the music now?”
“None of your fans want to hear about that now,” the interviewer scoffed back to the boys, “shall we talk about Jooheon?”
“I think maybe we’ll leave that for Jooheon.”
 I.M:
As the door to his studio flew open, Hyungwon immediately jumped. “What have you done?” Changkyun asked him, looking across at him despairingly as he tried to figure out what Hyungwon had done.
“What do you mean?” Hyungwon asked.
“You mentioned Y/N in your live, everyone is asking questions,” Changkyun explained to him.
“When? Why? I didn’t…did I?” Hyungwon sighed, sinking down in his seat as Changkyun nodded in reply back across to him.
A stressed hand ran through his hair as Changkyun tried to compose himself. “We’ve got no choice but to be honest with them now.”
“I’m so sorry, I forgot where I was and just included Y/N straight away,” Hyungwon frowned, closing his laptop screen down.
Changkyun sighed as he heard the sincerity in Hyungwon’s voice, “I need to go and speak to Y/N, let her know where we go from here.”
“Can you apologise to her for me?” Hyungwon requested, “it was a complete mistake. I should've been so much more careful.”
“It’s alright, it’s nothing that can’t be fixed.”

monsta x as d&d characters
NOTE: Remember, these are just my opinion and how I would classify them in D&D. You can have your own perspective, just don't be a hater about it. I also know that my D&D knowledge isn't perfect. Don't judge me.
Shoutout to @vesvosmozhno who encouraged and awaited this post! You are awesome, and thank you for all your support!

Shownu: Half-Orc Barbarian
Shownu was born and raised into a communal clan of half-orcs, living in isolation from the rest of the world. While he did have parents, he really was raised by the entire group, with each member teaching him every skill they could. As he grew, he eventually became a proficient blacksmith, becoming the official apprentice for the clan. Everything was peaceful - until it wasn't. One day, the village was attacked by a group of raiders who had a particular hatred for half-orcs, wanting them to suffer. The raiders were destroying everything in their path, taking anyone and anything they could get their hands on. Shownu, who happened to be finishing his shift at the blacksmith's, ran out to the commotion, newly forged and sharpened axes in his hands. After witnessing the terror for himself, Shownu's rage became too much to handle. Despite his typically peaceful nature, he blazed through the raiders, as if the axes were made to be in his hands. When the raiders realized there was no stopping him, they ran, never to be seen again. While the village stood silent, marveling in Shownu's show of strength and fury, all he could care about was going back and fixing the damage to the shop, as well as what he was going to eat for lunch. That day, without him knowing, his people deemed him the town protector, knowing that his love for his village and his might would protect them from any danger - even with his peaceful demeanor.
Wonho: Human Druid
Wonho doesn’t have any memory of where he really came from. All he knew was that as a small child, he wandered into the feywild and was adopted by the people there. They showed him all sorts of magic, but quickly learned that he loved animal magic the most. As he grew, they focused more on teaching him the lessons of animal magic, and Wonho quickly became a druid prodigy. Befitting for his gentle temperament, the feywild people bestowed upon him the power to transform into a small lop-eared rabbit, with a nature as gentle as himself. After bestowing this gift upon him, the feywild people gave Wonho a mission: go into the human world, and show the power of love and kindness to those who are most in need of it. Each village he approached, he approached with kindness and curiosity, which was off putting to most of the locals. However, those who saw his genuineness and appreciation for learning welcomed him. Wonho quickly learned he had a soft spot for the orphanages of the villages, seeing how much in-need the young children were of love and kindness. Wonho became a regular presence, often showing up in his rabbit form to greet the children as they played. He rarely showed his human form to them until one night, when he was caught sneaking in extra food rations by the head of the orphanage. The head of the orphanage watched as Wonho got so spooked by his presence that he accidentally shifted into his rabbit form, exposing himself as a druid - and the one that was giving comfort to the children. The orphanage owner, instead of kicking Wonho out, allowed Wonho to stay and work at the orphanage as a caretaker for the children. Needless to say, the children were incredibly overjoyed at his presence, both animal and human. Wonho knew from then on, his mission would always be complete.
Minhyuk: Tiefling Rogue
From the time he was born, Minhyuk knew that he was meant to be a showman. As a small child he would regularly pretend to be different characters, creating new stories of people and things from far-off lands. However, because of his appearance and infernal nature, his theatricality was often seen as a threat by the other children. Being a tiefling was seen as a curse. Despite those who tried to make him feel ashamed for who he was, Minhyuk never gave up on his dream. However, as much as he put on a brave face, he could never deny that the words of the ignorant cut him to his core. One day, it became all too much. He saw the horrible paintings on his home, depicting him as nothing more than an awful monster, a creature never to be respected. That night, he packed his things and ran, never to return to his hometown again. Every village he wandered into, he found the outcasts, the odd-ones-out, and the rejected. To each of them, he gave kindness and respect, and shared his dream of creating a show where no one would have to be ashamed of who they were. Eventually, he had a whole group of followers, and their dream began to take shape. Every talent, magic, look, and style were welcome in Minhyuk’s show. He would make sure they were all introduced with respect and lauded with praise. Anyone who dared try to ridicule his fellow performers would quickly be met with Minhyuk’s legendary infernal wrath. While his show was still met with the usual group of detractors and protestors, Minhyuk knew that he was doing what he was meant to. His dream of showmanship, and showing the world what those who are rejected are capable of, all came together. No matter what, he never let the hatred get to him anymore.
Kihyun: Half-Siren Bard
Kihyun was born on a boat to a sea-faring family, but ships are not friendly places to small children. There was a massive storm that tossed him overboard, and because of his age, he began to drown. That was, until he felt two arms scoop him up and the air returned to his lungs. He would learn that he was saved by a siren queen who had taken pity on him and bestowed him with some of the powers of the sirens. Kihyun was raised with the pod, never really questioning why he was the only one without a tail, scales, or gills. To him, they were the only family he actually knew. He grew up singing, his voice becoming a unique and alluring power that benefited him greatly; and, because of his mostly human origins, he would learn that he is the only “siren” that could walk between sea and land. When Kihyun reached adulthood, he decided to leave the pod and venture onto land full time, promising his mother the siren queen to never forget his true self. He wandered onto the shores and began his new life, humming his way through local villages. Because of the alluring tone of his singing, he quickly drew crowds. Local taverns tripped over each other to try and get him to perform, and Kihyun found himself obliging all of them, bouncing to a different one each night. However, this quickly became too much for Kihyun. He decided to become an apprentice at a local bakery, where his skill with baked goods nearly outshone his talents for music. Every now and again, the owner of the bakery would open the door to the shop to let the locals hear Kihyun’s humming as he worked. One day, an elderly member of the village came into the bakery, and Kihyun recognized them as the owner of one of the oldest, smallest taverns in the village. Kihyun felt it was fate as the tavern owner lamented over how few patrons came through their doors. Kihyun volunteered to help, scheduling a performance for that night at the old tavern that brought in nearly the entire village. Seeing the smile on the tavern owner’s face as he sang brought so much joy to Kihyun’s heart that he announced to the village that this would be the only tavern he would perform in. From then on, Kihyun was a baker’s assistant by day, and a tavern singer by night. He finally felt whole both of his worlds finally at peace with each other.
Hyungwon: Human Ranger
From his earliest memories, the only human person that Hyungwon ever knew was his grandfather. Living in the middle of nowhere, on the outskirts of society, Hyungwon was raised to trust and respect the land around him, and was taught how to survive in the harshest of conditions. Despite his disdain for exerting extreme amounts of energy, Hyungwon became a skilled survivalist. Eventually, his grandfather passed away, and Hyungwon was driven to live out in the wild on his own. Because he didn’t really have anyone else, Hyungwon found himself connecting more with the wild, especially with the animals. This led to him discovering his ability to summon an animal companion to keep him company. This animal companion, or companions, became a hoard of rats he accumulated while on the road, with their leader, whom Hyungwon named Ratrick. Every now and again, whenever he realized that he was running low on supplies that he couldn’t make or find himself, Hyungwon (having a small existential crisis) forced himself to wander into local villages to restock. He would use Ratrick and his hoard rats to gather what they could before he had to step in and do it himself. Anything he could do to avoid people, he’d do it. The only person who ever made the effort to become friends with Hyungwon and give him one small connection to society was Shownu. The only reason that this happened was because Shownu almost killed Hyungwon by accident after he found Hyungwon sneaking large amounts of snacks out of the community pantry. Shownu saw that despite Hyungwon's incredible reflexes and skill, that all Hyungwon really wanted was to be. Just be. So, Shownu gave Hyungwon the supplies he needed and told Hyungwon that if he ever wanted a place to return to, that he would always have one in Shownu's village. That one connection was all Hyungwon needed in the world - that and Ratrick.
Jooheon: Human Sorcerer
Even though he would deny it, the village where he was born called Jooheon a miracle. For many generations, the village had been plagued by a militant occupation of power and money-hungry warlords. These warlords would regularly steal children as young as infants to raise them to be pieces of their military machine. Jooheon’s family did everything they could to keep his birth a secret, but his presence was felt all the way to the Feywild. The Fae decided to bless Jooheon with magic abilities - a jack-of-all-trades magic that would help him on his quest to freedom. Despite his blessing, Jooheon grew up hidden and isolated. His parents told him stories passed down from those before them of how the village used to be free until the warmongers had taken over. Every story fueled Jooheon to want to take action, and so he grew his magic to one day bring that liberation to his village. As an adult, with his Fae blessing fully charged, he made his presence known with explosions, taking out many of the warmonger’s bases. Cultivating all of his power, he blew through the warmonger’s encampments. By the time dawn began to break, not a single leader was left. The village was finally free - but, what now? Jooheon spent days in the village, ensuring everyone that he was force of good, and working with the other villagers to liberate all of the lost children that had been stolen from them. As more weeks passed, Jooheon began to feel more like there was something more left for him to do. As the village got back on its feet, free of their militant oppressors, Jooheon felt more and more useless, and his family could sense it. And so, they knew to let him go. They knew, with his Fae blessing, he would become a powerful freedom fighter that would bring liberation to countless people - just as he was born to do.
Chankgyun: Half-Elf Bard
Changkyun was born into a family of bardic singers, beloved by the humans and elvish. Everyone born into the family was blessed with a beautiful voice, and joined in the family choir once they came of age. That was, until Changkyun came along. When he became old enough to start his training to join the family, they learned something quite jarring - Changkyun couldn’t sing at all. No matter what they tried, he just could not sing to their standards; and so, they gave up on him. Every time they would travel to a new town to perform, Chankgyun’s family would sit him in the very back of the tavern while they performed. One night when he was a tween, and they saw him scribbling away on some paper. When they snatched the paper away from him, they saw that this whole time he had been writing lyrics -lyrics for him to perform. At first they laughed, reminding Changkyun that he was tone-deaf, but then he opened his mouth and began to rap the lyrics to perfection. His musicality, despite not singing, rendered his family speechless, as they never realized that talent could look different than what they expected. And so, Changkyun’s family gave him permission to join the family choir - an offer that he quickly refused. Chankgyun knew he was meant for more, and the fact that it took them until now to realize it never sat well for him. He walked off into the night, lyrics and a small drum in tow. On Chankgyun’s travels, he grew his skills of rhythm and rap. His unique musical stylings (and sporadic d*ck jokes) enthralled every village and town he came across. Despite being more shy and quiet when not performing, his stage persona was goofy, flirtatious, and a little bit of a menace. Every now and again, when he would have to interact with fans on the road, he’d break out the persona - an act that would regularly get him into trouble. There was an incident where he accidentally got engaged to a half-orc that he sweet-talked…he doesn’t like to talk about it. But, with every adventure and every song, he felt more and more free. He was no longer the “tone-deaf outcast”, but a creative spirit in his own right - one that he was meant to be all along. His talents helped him connect to so many on the outskirts, including Minhyuk, Jooheon and the others. Changkyun knew from then on that he would never be tossed aside again.

Hello monstax-info admins! First I’d like to thank y’all so much for all of your hard work w keeping mbbblr updated and for translating!
Shownu is coming back so soon! And because of this I wanted to ask if an event for ccs could be possibly done? Could partnering up be somehow possible? I thought about perhaps D-30 a countdown like every week there could be a prompt like “favorite shownu stage” “favorite shownu moment(s)” etc. etc.
Totally understand if it’s not possible! Just an idea I had thank you for your time! :-)
Hello!! It's been hard times but we will always work hard to keep everyone updated! Actually I'm personally sorry for not translating as much, but I'm glad you appreciate either ways ;-;
Said this, about the event, personally I'd love to host one, but at the same time I need to talk with the other admins to make sure everyone is up for it and we can actually work together to make it a great time! We'll update you somehow (either posting on here or dming you personally, in case!) asap (also because D-30 is next Tuesday so....)
Hope we can make this work, thank you so much for the idea! have a great day!❤️ ~🌊

mbb 🎅 --
Happy Friday! Unfortunately I have to go to work tomorrow but that's tomorrow evening so whatever.
lmao that video was truly inspiring, I appreciate when idols are just a tiny bit cringe. Just a little ridiculous. When idols are amazing on stage and then when they come off stage you're like "how are you famous, again?" because they truly are Just Some Dudes.
Changkyun truly is The Moment. When I figured out how horny his recent song was I had to put my phone down like okay boy. okay. okay. And I live in a studio so it's just a corner but it's still always visible... but it's okay, he can share my Taste(TM), clearly it's good :)
The first song I heard by them was "Love U" and hello??? But then I actually listened to some of their other stuff and realized they're GOOD good and got sucked deep into their older stuff. It's been really amazing to watch them adapt after Wonho left, and then again after Shownu left, but tbh when "Beautiful" or "Jealousy" comes on shuffle I have to stop everything I'm doing for it.
And then Wonho showed up with "Open Mind"? True king behavior. Like I knew it was going to be good, but he really came out swinging. He's a hot boy and he knows it and he lets us appreciate it.
The Man Crop Top Agenda is strong and we support every man who wears a crop top but Hyungwon looks especially good. He always does, but you know what I mean.
Oh dang! Really? What do you do for work that they want you to go in for work so late? Lol I agree it makes it wholesome and very relatable unlike those celebrities that are just “there” lol
Isn’t he the whole moment? And yeah he truly let out his inner horn dog recently lol ever since wonho left he was like “f it. Imma just be the horniest man monbebes have ever seen at every possible moment” 😂😂 honestly I am living for it/here for it lol
Awww I haven’t heard love u in a minute! Isn’t it good?? Like it’s subtly horny while sounding cute so it was a nice change (apart from hearing them speak English - which was crazy!!! )They did such a great job with their English albums ❤️❤️it only takes two or three songs and then bam your hooked 😂😂 ooo jealousy and beautiful really are those bops right?? Even the dances are amazing let alone the beats and the lyrics lol total chef kiss 😘
Lmao!!! “He came out swinging” 😂😂 I definitely agree with you on that one lol he really changed the game for his career (not sure if you heard about the “wonho movement” or the “post it note” movement but it was amazing to the point where he came back so it was fun) lol
Absolutely!!! I am always here for a man in a nice crop top with a good clean crisp forehead 😂😂😂

Little things in the realtionship
Anon asks: Helloooo can I ask a request about Monsta x and the little things in your relationship ... something Romantic and witty including wonho if you don’t mind 🥺❤️
Note: I just want to say that I'll always include Wonho in my Monsta X reactions! Specified or not. ❤️
Tumblr media
♡Shownu♡
Tells you he’s proud of you: It might not appear to be a big deal at first glance, but Hyunwoo always makes sure to tell you how proud he is of you. Whether you’ve accomplished something at work or you finally got that pesky spot out of a piece of clothing. Doesn’t matter how big or small it is, he always feels a swell of joy when you accomplish things.
Covers you up: Have you fallen asleep on top of the covers? Dozed off in the living room? Shownu is always there to cover you up. It’s so little, but waking up to find yourself wrapped up nice and warm and comfy is rewarding.
Eats with you: You never eat alone when he can help it. Even if you’re running late to get home and he ate without you, he still sits at the table with you while you eat.
♡Minhyuk♡
Nightly conversations: Every night just after getting comfy in bed Minhyuk likes to talk to you about your day, tells you about his, etc. Even if there isn’t anything significant or big to talk about, Minhyuk never goes to sleep without your little nightly conversations.
Surprises: He surprises you with things any chance he gets, and that doesn’t fizzle out as you’re together longer.
Always checks on you: it doesn’t matter how busy he is, he always takes the time to message or call you. Always sends you goodnight and good morning texts, as if you’ve eaten around mealtimes, etc.
♡Kihyun♡
Breakfast in bed: Just something simple he likes to surprise you with. It doesn’t have to be your birthday or a special occasion, sometimes he just likes to wake you up to a cute little breakfast waiting.
Good apologies: No matter how serious or how dumb the argument was, Kihyun always gives you a good, honest apology and you do the same. Even simply bickering over what to get for dinner earns an apology. He doesn’t like to argue with you, let alone leave things with a half-assed apology.
Shops with you: It’s something little you don’t really notice at first, but whenever he can Kihyun likes to shop with you; or just run errands with you in general. It’s just a casual way to spend time with you. You know you always have a buddy to do things with, even if it’s something as small as running to the convenience store around the block.
♡Hyungwon♡
Forehead kisses: Whenever he finds you laying down he leaves a smooch on your forehead. You don’t even have to be sleeping. Or if you’re at the table working he’ll come up, brush your hair away and kiss you. He doesn’t think about it anymore, it’s just a cute habit.
Comfortable silence: As your relationship progresses moments of simple silence do too. He’s not someone who feels the need to talk, talk, talk. No matter what the two of you are doing, sitting in silence is comfortable with Hyungwon.
Compliments: Even if they come off casual most of the time- quick quips about how pretty you look in the morning, texts about your recent Instagram post, etc. Compliments never stop.
♡Jooheon♡
“I’m home” kisses: He always looks for you when he gets home. He’s gotten into the unbreakable habit of telling you he’s home and greeting you.
Flirts: He’s your boyfriend, of course, he flirts with you. But as time passes and your relationship grows older, he never stops. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been together or if you’ve heard every line in his book; he’s always flirting.
Shows his appreciation: He’s very thoughtful and notices all the little things you do for him and your relationship together. He’s not one to underappreciate you and makes sure to let you know often.
♡Changkyun♡
Communication: While it may seem like a basic building block of any relationship, Changkyun values communication greatly. He’s always thinking, always has a million things to say or that he notices. He reads the atmosphere well, and when he feels something is off he’s not one to ignore it. He snips issues off at the bud and is excellent at explaining his feelings and coming to resolutions in the relationship.
Reminiscences: Again, I view him as a very thoughtful person. He’s the type of boyfriend to just remember things, little things that you might’ve forgotten. He tells you when he does too. Like a date the two of you went on years ago, he thinks about how good it was and everything you talked about; your smile and laugh, etc.
Takes interest in your interests: If he notices there’s something you’re particularly interested in, he’s open to checking it out as well so the both of you can enjoy it together. Even if he’s not into it, he’ll let you talk on and on about it while listening.
♡Wonho♡
Flowers: Flowers aren’t a rare occurrence for either of you. He brings them whenever the thought strikes him, he likes to see your smile when he hands them to you and how good it seems to make you feel. When you start to do the same he’s overjoyed at how such a simple thing can make things feel so happy.
“Forever deals”: Compromises and promises are something Wonho always keeps. Silly things like you calling shotgun forever or claiming a favorite part of the sofa, or if he calls dibs on always having the first bit of ice cream or being the first to brush his teeth in the morning. Once these seemingly meaningless things are decided, you both keep them up.
Goodbyes: He always says goodbye to you. When he leaves for work in the morning he stops to give you a quick kiss and tell you he’ll see you later. If he’s going to be gone for a few days or weeks he makes the goodbye extra special. They’re never bittersweet, you know he’ll always come back.

aight aight idk of this is a good request but monsta x as your employees or something and they're whipped af for you?? but make it nsfw 👉🏻👈🏻🥺🥺 it's v broad I know but do with this what you want
x shy anon
Monsta X as your whipped employees
note: I'm so sorry, I forgot the nsfw part 😭 (i didn't read over the request again before starting to write it) some of these hint at sexy time but they are mainly imagines for how they would behave around you and the office after realizing they like you more than they should
This is supposed to be a lil present for you, happy birthday! ❤
if you like my fics please reblog them with a nice comment or tag
POV: You are Monsta X's employer and they are whipped for you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shownu : the servant
Tumblr media
very hardworking; he doesn’t get distracted from his work easily but when you bend down a little too low to show him something on the screen, he turns his head away, blushing heavily
he’s very slick with the way he communicates with you, offering to make you a coffee and carrying things for you
does those things without a second thought because he wants to be useful (subconsciously he just wants to be close to you)
when you ask him why he is always following you around the office he starts to stutter, mumbling something about how he didn’t mean to be creepy he just wants to help you out, but you can tell by the way his breath hitches that there is some deeper meaning behind his actions
he ends up taking a job at another company so he can ask you out on a date (he doesn’t have to, but he wants to show you how serious he is and that he doesn’t just want to sleep his way to the top)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wonho : the mess
Tumblr media Tumblr media
becomes a blushing mess the minute he realises he has a crush on you
avoids eye contact when talking to you and tries to not bump into you in the office (which turns out to be harder than he thought because it’s not exactly a big office space)
he’s usually smart and quick on his feet but when you ask him a question now it takes him forever to answer and he often miscalculates numbers in his reports
you quickly notice how off he is and start to worry that something private might taint his mind, so you tell him to take a couple of days off and he looks at you with sad eyes thinking he is close to getting fired
he can’t stop thinking about you while he is at home and after his friends give him a kick in the ass to finally man up and confess to you, he calls you up, blurting “I love you” and instantly hanging up again
you pay him a visit and end up staying the night (and a couple more) and his concentration seems to return to normal as he can finally call himself yours
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Minhyuk : the comedian
Tumblr media
starts his day by telling the joke of the day, gets everyone to laugh and raises the spirit in the office
his workspace is covered in post it notes with little scribbles he drew himself (“Shouldn’t you be working?”, you ask him as he is drawing again; “but this is work, a work of art, like you *wink*”)
surprisingly, he always hands in his reports on time and never makes any mistakes
he tells you up front that he is attracted to you, but you take it as one of his jokes
after years of working with him he asks you why you never made him your valentine (“Why would I?”; “Well, you’ve known that I like you for three years now and you haven’t fired me yet so I’m assuming you like me back, yet you’ve never asked me out.”)
when you tell him that you thought he was just play flirting he gets all serious, telling you that he would never joke about something like that
you take your time thinking about what he had said and how you felt about him but when the 14th of February comes around you slip him a post it note with a scribble of a heart and the question “Will you be my valentine?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kihyun : the daydreaming altruist
Tumblr media
respect the authorities and elders is his number one principle, so he never dreamed of asking you out (it seemed unprofessional and rude to him), even when your sheer presence made his heart jump out of his chest
he tries to date other people, but he can’t push down his feelings for you, every time he ends up in someone’s bed, he can’t help but moan your name
cries himself to sleep because he doesn’t want to lose you, but he also can’t move on from you
he daydreams a lot while he’s at work and barely gets anything done
when his performance review comes in you are shocked to see his low numbers and confront him about it, he is apologetic and takes full blame, lowering his head in shame
“Gosh, you’re cute…”, you mumble to yourself, trying to figure out what to do with him, “tell me what hinders you from working. Be completely honest and don’t be scared about coming off as rude, I want us to find a solution, together.”
“You”, he admits, and his sudden bluntness almost makes you fall out of your chair (you settle on late night dates and his performance miraculously enhances)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hyungwon : the perfect balance
Tumblr media
he’s considered the quiet one at the office so when he asks you to join him and his friends for a karaoke evening you are quite literally left speechless
he works hard and focused during the day and plans out crazy dates for the night
no one at the office expects you two to date since he is very good at hiding his feelings in public, but he makes sure you still feel appreciated and loved, cuddling into you and professing his love when you two are alone
you stay together for a long time, perfectly balancing your work and love life and eventho he gets job offers from other companies for higher pays, he stays loyal to you and your company till the end
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jooheon : the attention craver
Tumblr media
tries to gain your attention as much as he can, thinking that’s gonna win you over
gets sulky when you don’t greet him in the morning, eventho you are clearly stressed
does everything you ask him to do and more (overachieves), knocking at your office door when he has finished his work to ask you if there’s anything else to be done (it gets to a point where you have no work for other employees left because he simply does too much, too fast)
when you tell him to go take a break you find him in the cafeteria, reading over his reports while his soup gets cold
“Do you really love working or do you just want to impress me?”, the question had been lingering on your mind for a while but when you finally confront him about it, he falls silent
he admits that he wants you to notice him and you tell him you do, but you are worried he’ll get a burnout
you tell him it’d be better if he left the company, for his own health, but before he breaks out into tears you ensure him that you have indeed fallen for him and this was the only plausible solution to ensure a serious future for you two
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Changkyun : the fuckboy
Tumblr media
flirts with other colleagues to make you jealous, but it only makes you see him as a fuckboy
when you tell him to mature and leave his horniness at home, he becomes beat red, his confidence dying down in his throat
everyone has a crush on him (boy or girl) and you are surprised to find out he’s turning all of them down
he would never admit his feelings for you, and he is lowkey intimidated by your assertiveness, his facade shattering to pieces the second your hand lays on his shoulder
he wants nothing more than to be bent over that stupid desk of yours, writing drabbles about his imaginations
one day he accidently attaches one of his personal word documents to an email instead of his report and when he realises his mistake, he rushes to your office to tell you to please not open the email, but you already did, looking up at him with a raised eyebrow and a smirk, telling him to lock the door behind him
needless to say, he is your fuckboy now
“Okay, so Pandora is practicing at 6:30, Monsta X at 7:00?” Zoey confirmed, looking over the schedule taped to the door of the greenroom.
“And Seventeen at 7:30.” Seungcheol looked over her shoulder.
“Ohh, is the schedule up?” Tori came into the room, veering away from Felix, who’s arm she’d been on, to come over and look. “Urgh, Stray Kids doesn’t go until 8:00. That sucks.”
“Hey, you still get wardrobe, tech runs and the security briefing before that.” Zoey smiled. “I wouldn’t worry too much.”
“You make it sound so fun.” Tori said sarcastically, walking away.
“Where are the guys?” Seungcheol asked, resting his elbow on Zoey’s shoulder.
“With your children, I presume.” Zoey sighed, turning away from the schedule to go towards the couch. “You haven’t kept an eye on them?”
“I was distracted.” He glanced downwards, his eyes drifting towards the skin exposed by her crop top.
“I’ve been told I can be very distracting.” Zoey grinned, leaning forward to kiss him.
“Stop it.” Kihyun’s voice interrupted. “You’re in public.”
“They’re in love!” Tori exclaimed, before bowing quickly. “Sunbaenim.”
“Don’t show him any respect, Tor.” Zoey shook her head, taking a seat and pulling Seungcheol down next to her. “He doesn’t deserve it.”
“I’ll I’m asking is to avoid seeing you two making out.” Kihyun shrugged. “That doesn’t seem like too much.”
“Who’s making out?” Seungkwan walked into the room, leading the rest of Seventeen and Monsta X. “Hey, Boo.”
“Hey, Boo.” Zoey held up a hand for him to high-five. Seungcheol snorted. It didn’t matter how close him and Zoey got, he could never get between her weird friendship with Seungkwan.
“You saw the schedule, Zo?” Shownu asked, tapping her shoulder as he walked by.
“Yes, Sir.” She playfully saluted. The room was instantly more crowded than it had been before, but considering it was all friends, she didn’t mind too much.
“Pandora for a tech run-through!” A staff member shouted into the room.
Zoey sighed, untangling herself from her boyfriend and stretching. “That’s our cue, Tor.”
“The others will meet us there.” Tori held up her phone. “We should-“
“Monsta X for a security brief!”
“Okay, let’s-“ Shownu and Zoey made eye contact as they both came to the same realization.
“We have a schedule.” Shownu said.
“Right. Which says I have a tech run-through right now.” Zoey nodded. “So, I have to go.”
Shownu blinked, before he straightened his shoulders. It was so subtle a shift that only Monsta X would have noticed it. Shownu wasn’t one to pull the leader card, but when he did, they knew that they were supposed to listen.
“It’s a security briefing, you know how important that it.” Shownu said.
“It’s a tech run-through.” Zoey repeated. “We need to know what our lights, mics and effects are doing.”
“Yah, we can always fill her in later.” Minhyuk said with an awkward laugh. The rest of the room had fallen silent, focused on the rare confrontation in front of them.
“It’s…it’s a priority.” Shownu sighed. Obviously he was reluctant to pick a fight with Zoey, but he wasn’t going to back down.
“So is Pandora’s rehearsal.” Zoey gave him a tight smile.
“Is Monsta X not a priority?” Shownu asked.
Zoey scoffed. “Yah, what do you think you’re doing right now?”
Shownu looked at the ceiling, as if hoping the answers would be hiding somewhere up there.
“You’re here as a member of Monsta X.” He finally said. “You have to come to our schedules.”
Zoey crossed her arms. “I’m here as the leader of Pandora, too. So I have to be at our rehearsal.”
“It’s not up for negotiation, Zo.”
“No, I’m telling you that this isn’t up for negotiation. Back off.” She snapped.
“Yah!” Shownu shouted. “I’m the leader and I’m telling you to listen!”
A lot of things happened at once.
All of Monsta X visibly recoiled. Shownu and Zoey had only ever been in a handful of fights since debut, and it never ended well for anyone. Shownu only picked a fight when he really thought he was right, and Zoey never backed down when someone challenged her. It was always a messy situation.
Seventeen all looked shocked, and Tori grabbed Dino’s arm in surprise.
Zoey barely moved, the shifting of her weight to her backfoot the only sign that she was surprised that Shownu had yelled at her.
Seungcheol was on his feet in a second. He knew Zoey could handle herself, and the intelligent part of his brain was telling him to avoid getting in between the two of them. But he didn’t appreciate anyone yelling at his girlfriend.
“Watch it.” He said in a warning tone. “Don’t yell at her or I’ll-“
“You’re the leader?” Zoey interrupted him, glaring at Shownu. “You’re seriously going to try that?”
Shownu’s jaw clenched. “Zo, I’m not kidding.”
“Don’t you ‘Zo’ me.” Zoey frowned. “I have never missed a practice, schedule or meeting except for when I was literally in the hospital. So when I tell you that I’m not coming to a meeting, I mean it.”
“What if it’s important? You can’t expect us to fill you in.”
“Sure I can. I’d do it for you.” Zoey smirked. “Care to reconsider your argument?”
“No.”
“Fine, then. Let’s try this.” She took a step forward, and Changkyun actually hissed in fear. “You can pull the leader card any time, when it’s just our group. But if you try to do it when I have other responsibilities, or in front of our friends, you have another thing coming.”
“Zoey, I-“
“I have made a commitment to my group, as their leader, something I’m sure you understand. So no, I’m not backing out. I think I can miss a thirty minute security briefing, considering I’ll have to do the same on in an hour with Pandora. If you actually thought that yelling at me in front of everyone we know was the way to get what you want, you clearly don’t know me that well.”
Shownu sighed, and everyone braced themselves.
“You done?”
“Sure.”
Shownu rolled his eyes. “I’m not apologizing. But if Minhyuk wants to fill you in, he can.”
“I can do that.” Minhyuk squeaked.
“Great.” Zoey placed her hands on her hips. “I’m not going to apologize either. Come on, Tori.”
“We’re talking about this later!” Shownu called as she stormed out of the room, grabbing Tori by the arm.
“It’s your funeral.” She was gone.
The entire room let out a breath.
“You seriously decided to pick a fight with her when she’s wearing four-inch stilettos and just got her nails done?” Jooheon demanded. “She’s literally wearing knives.”
“It was bound to happen sooner or later.” Shownu sighed, before his gaze settled on Seungcheol. “You.”
“What?” Seungcheol started backing away.
“What were you going to do if I yelled at her? Were you actually threatening me?” The words were confrontational, but Shownu was smiling.
“I mean…” Seungcheol shrugged. “My girlfriend….her groupmate….it didn’t seem like a difficult choice.”
“He’d beat you up.” Seungkwan pointed out.
“So would Zoey.”
Restroom Break.
Vani + Monsta X
after seeing mia talking to changkyun again, vani finally confronts her and tells mia what she really thinks about her.
day 6 of 25 days of okskz! hope you guys enjoy this post and please feel free to leave some feedback because it is always appreciated!
[7th Member of Monsta X]
Tumblr media
“I’m ready to go home.” Vani whined, while pouting. “I honestly see no point of staying any longer. It’s only going to make me suffer more with wearing these heels.” She said.
Don’t get her wrong, Vani adored being at award shows and getting to perform. Just the thought of being there too long is what made her sick. If Vani could leave the second they were done performing, she would in a heartbeat.
“We have to stay. So we can see Cravity.” Shownu told her. “They’re going to perform two of our songs. The least we can do is show our support.”
“Oh yeah!” Vani exclaimed, already getting excited at the thought to see their younger group perform.
She looked around to seeing everyone was together minus Changkyun. “Where’s Kyun?” She questioned.
“Over there.” Jooheon pointed down the hall.
Vani turned her head to the direction where Jooheon had pointed. And there Changkyun was, talking to Mia. A small frown was shown on Vani’s face when seeing the two smiling. And perhaps she felt a little disappointed in Changkyun for talking to her again.
She started walking to their direction but halfway there, Mia had left and entered the restroom. Changkyun turned around, almost jumping when seeing Vani there. “Jesus, you scared me.”
“Are you talking to her again?”
“No.”
Vani looked at him confused. “Then what was that? Because the looks of it, I saw you two conversing.”
Changkyun sighed. “Just conversing Vanessa, nothing more. You don’t need to get all protective mode okay? It was just a friendly conversation we were having.”
“Yeah, well I don’t like her.”
“I know. I think that’s like the millionth time you’ve told me.” He chuckled.
Changkyun taking the situation as a joke almost made Vani upset. As if he didn’t care what Mia had done to him. Which only confused Vani, because he was definitely upset over the fact Mia was practically dropping him as a friend. And it only made Vani believe one thing.
“Do you still like her?”
“What, no.” He shook his head.
“Don’t lie to me, Kyun.” She threatened. “Tell me the truth. Do you still like her.”
“I am telling you the truth.” Changkyun fought. “It’s been a little longer than a year. I don’t have the same feelings for her that I did when we first talked.”
“Hm. I’ll believe you this time.” She said, not sounding too convinced.
Changkyun patted her head, chuckling, before leaving her behind to join back the others. She turned herself around, eyeing the restroom door then at Changkyun then back at door.
Instead of joining the others, Vani entered the restroom, knowing Mia was in there. When she walked in, the girl was washing her hands. She looked up when hearing someone enter and became a bit intimidated when seeing it was Vani. The last time Mia had seen her, Vani was giving her an ugly glare.
But Mia greeted her nonetheless. “Hello.” She bowed, slightly smiling.
Vani bowed as well. “Hi.”
There was an awkward silence between the two, Mia wanting nothing more then to leave and join her group. But as soon as she turned the water off, Vani spoke to her again. “I’m just going to be honest with you because there’s no easy way to say this.” She began. “But I’d rather you not talk to Changkyun anymore.”
“Oh?” Mia questioned, confused at her statement. “But Changkyun and I are friends.”
Vani let out a scoff. “Friends? I wouldn’t call it that anymore. Let’s not forget you forgot all about Changkyun’s existence when dating someone new.”
“What are you trying to get at?”
“All I’m saying is, don’t think you can just come back into Changkyun’s life like you did nothing wrong. And why until now are you trying to?” Vani questioned, crossing her arms. “Did you and your boyfriend break up or something? Changbin, right?”
Vani noticed the way Mia’s face expression changed real quick after mentioning Changbin’s name. It may have been a rumor that was denied, but Vani was smart enough to put two and two together.
“That’s none of your concern.” Mia frowned.
And that only answered Vani’s question.
“I hope you know he was hurt when you stopped talking to him. Even if you got with someone else, that doesn’t mean drop your friends.” She said. “Especially after promising to continue being good friends.”
Vani took a step closer to Mia as the younger girl just stood there not saying a word. “I’m a nice person. I definitely liked you in the beginning, but as soon as you mess up with any of my members, especially Changkyun, that’s when I’m not too nice.”
“I honestly don’t think you have a say on what Changkyun does-“
“You’re right I don’t. But he’s an important person in my life. Since the beginning when I first met him and we got thrown into No Mercy together. And I’m not about to let anybody take advantage of him or walk all over him.”
“That’s-“
“I think I’m done here. Have a nice day.” Vani slightly grinned, cutting Mia off. She left the restroom, leaving Mia all alone.
When she walked out, she went right back to where her members were at. “Hey, where were you?” Changkyun questioned. “Cravity is about to perform.”
“Oh, just needed to use the restroom, that’s all.” Vani smiled.
She looked back into the direction of where the bathroom was, Mia exiting out from it and the two making eye contact with each other. Vani gave her another stare like last time, while wrapping an arm around Changkyun’s back.
Blue Hour
A/N: Soooo this is like... the first fanfic I’ve ever written lol, I don’t usually write stuff like this, but it was fun! I should have more coming at some point in the future, but for now, here’s what I’ve got! My other socials are in my bio if you wanna see more of my work!
This fic has been cross posted to AO3 here.
Word count: 10k+
Content: Mutual pining, some light smut?, childhood friends to lovers, some angst, Jimin is either the best or worst life coach, no one is sure which, Hoseok is always drunk but I think he’s neat, Jungkook and Taehyung share one brain cell but it’s shaped like a heart, Shownu best boy
Jungkook is running late.
He’s rushing to exit his dorm building, not even waiting for the elevator to make it to his floor, rushing down the stairs in hopes that it’ll take less time. In his haste, he still manages to have time to regret choosing the top floor of the four story building.
Upon exiting the building, Jungkook takes off in the direction of his lecture, thanking his lucky stars it isn’t too far away from where he lives. He weaves his way through other students, trying to cause as little damage while also moving as fast as he can.
At last, he’s made it to the right building, bursting through the first door he sees and hoping he’s in the right place.
When he enters, the class has gone quiet, all eyes turned in the direction of the disturbance. The professor, after giving him a quick once over, decides to let the interruption slide and continue her presentation.
Jungkook makes his way through the lecture hall, hoping his seat hasn’t been taken by someone who was actually on time for the class. He breathes a sigh of relief when he sees that no one has taken his beloved spot from him, and plants himself there before moving to pull out his materials.
“Dude, what happened to you? I don’t think you’ve ever been late for anything.”
Jungkook looks up and meets the eyes of his best friend, Taehyung. The two of them go way back, all the way back to middle school when Jungkook had moved from his small town to the big city. After watching the boy desperately try to find a place in a school that was much larger than what he was used to, his constant confusion attracting stares from already established students, Taehyung decided he would help this clueless stranger for as long as he could.
“I must’ve forgotten to set my alarm last night,” Jungkook says, finally pulling out the book he was looking for.
“That’s not like you. Maybe it was a glitch?”
“Maybe.”
Taehyung turns his head to face the front of the room, having gotten the answers to all his questions. Jungkook follows suit, deciding he should at least pay attention to what was left of the class and hope he could piece the rest of it together on his own.
Though, his eyes can’t help but drift over occasionally, stealing glances at the boy next to him.
He’s not sure when it happened, but somewhere along the way, between the late nights watching movies together, Jungkook had fallen for Taehyung. Naturally, he pushed those feelings down, afraid that they may make him act selfishly, or worse, ruin their friendship. As much as he would like for things to turn out like they do in fanfiction, where it turns out the two of them have been pining after each other the whole time, he knows better.
So instead, he hides his feelings away, hoping that one day he’ll be able to go back to seeing Taehyung as nothing more than a friend. Though, it’s becoming harder to keep his emotions at bay lately. He finds himself relishing in Taehyung’s touch, whether he means to or not. Hugs when something goes good or bad for one of them, touches that last just a bit longer than they would for others, Jungkook takes advantage of each of those little moments.
Even though it causes him to fall deeper each time.
~
Once the lecture ends, the students begin filing out, likely off to more stress-inducing classes. As Taehyung and Jungkook are leaving the building, Taehyung decides this is the perfect opportunity to ask his friend a very important question.
“Hey, Kook?” Jungkook turns to offer his full attention to his friend. “So there’s this party-”
“Absolutely not.” Taehyung lets out a groan.
“You didn’t even let me finish!”
“Tae, you know how I feel about parties.”
“I do! But this one will be different.”
“Last time you said that I ended up carrying you home.” Taehyung scratches the back of his head, recalling the incident himself.
“Ah, I’m a different person now!” Jungkook rolls his eyes. “Besides that was like… a year ago?”
“Four months.”
“It’s in the past!”
“Barely.”
“Please just come this one time? You only have to stay for an hour.” Jungkook stares at him. “Do it for me?”
A sigh leaves Jungkook’s lips.
“Only for an hour.”
~
Jungkook doesn’t even bother putting too much effort into what he’s wearing, throwing on jeans and a T-shirt and deciding it’s presentable enough.
“Good enough to get me bye for an hour,” Jungkook says, looking at himself in the mirror briefly.
As if on cue, Jungkook hears a knock at the door. He exits his room and goes to open the door, revealing a similarly dressed Taehyung. The only real difference lies in the leather jacket Taehyung has thrown over his shoulders.
“You don’t think you’re a bit underdressed?” Taehyung asks, taking in Jungkook’s work, or lack thereof.
“What’s wrong with what I’m wearing?”
“Nothing! Nothing,” Taehyung reassures him. “You look fine. Let’s go.”
The two of them head out, deciding to walk to the party given that it’s relatively close to their campus. As they grow closer to their destination, they can already hear the faint sound of music in the distance. They follow the sound until they arrive at the source of the music.
The house, no, the estate, that the party is taking place in is practically vibrating on its foundation as the bass flows through it and out into the air. There’s a few people loitering outside, the smell of cigarette smoke and alcohol wafting through the air. Someone is already passed out on the lawn. They likely won’t remember anything once they wake up. Taehyung takes a big inhale.
“I love the smell of regret in the evening.” He turns around to look at Jungkook, who already looks visibly sick as he takes in his surroundings. “Hey, are you good?” Jungkook appears to shake himself out of whatever stupor he’s in.
“Yeah, yeah I’m alright,” he says, moreso trying to convince himself than he is trying to convince Taehyung. “Just a little overwhelmed, that’s all.”
“Will you be alright?”
“I think so. I’ll just find a corner to hide away in.” Though he knows it’s just because he’s a good friend, Jungkook’s heart can’t help but flutter at Taehyuns’s concern for him.
“Nah, you don’t have to do that! I’ll stay with you the whole time.” At this, Jungkook gives him an incredulous look. “I’m serious! I want you to have fun, too.” Jungkook considers his words for a moment.
“If you disappear on me you’re buying me lunch for a week.”
“Deal.”
~
The party is well underway when Taehyung and Jungkook walk in. Bass coming from the speakers pulsates throughout the house. There’s a crowd of people on the dance floor, some swaying to the beat, others moving wildly. It’s not hard to tell who only has a slight buzz and who’s clearly overdoing it. Jungkook expects to see more people scattered across the lawn by the end of the night. As his eyes continue to sweep over the crowd, taking note of the guy currently hunched over and about to let loose every toxic brew he’d ingested hours prior, he hears a call of his name.
Following the direction of the sound, he turns his head and is met with the sight of a (very drunk) Hoseok.
Hoseok was one of the first people Jungkook had befriended when he first started attending school. When Jungkook had joined the campus dance team, Hoseok had welcomed him with open arms and a warm, inviting smile.
“What are you doing here?” Hoseok slurs slightly. “I thought you didn’t like coming to these things.”
“I don’t,” Jungkook confirms. “I’m here against my will.”
“Oh, don’t be so dramatic!” Taehyung chimes in. He turns his attention to Hoseok. “I knew he’d just hole himself up in his room all night, so I dragged him out for some fresh air.”
“Calling this air fresh is a little misleading, don’t you think?”
“Ah, it’s really not that bad!” Hoseok says. “This is pretty tame compared to other parties here.” Hoseok stumbles a bit, and Jungkook reaches out to steady him.
“How much have you had to drink?”
“Dunno. Stopped counting after four, though.”
“Aren’t you a bit of a light weight?”
“I don’t appreciate being interrogated like this.” Hoseok begins to walk away. “I’m off to get another drink!”
Jungkook watches his friend drunkenly stumble away, presumably to get even more wasted than he already is. He briefly worries if he’ll get home safely, but Hoseok’s done this before, he’ll be fine.
“Whose house is this, anyway?” Jungkook asks, taking in the valuable looking artwork displayed on the walls.
“Kim Seokjin’s.” Jungkook gives him a confused look. “Richest guy on campus. Only met him a couple times, he’s cool.”
Jungkook looks around again.
“I’m only staying for an hour.” Jungkook reminds himself. “I can last that long.”
“You’ll be fine,” Taehyung reassures him. “Come on, I’ll introduce you to my friends.” he takes Jungkook’s hand and drags him further into the party. Jungkook’s lips can’t help but turn upwards in a small smile at the gesture.
Much to his surprise, Jungkook finds himself getting along with Taehyung’s friends. They seem to be much more outgoing people compared to himself, specifically Taehyung’s friend Jimin. He’s seen Jimin around a couple times, but never talked to him, the two of them existing in different social circles. It seems that a lot of time has passed since the two of them began talking, when really it’s only been about twenty minutes.
Jimin is in the middle of a story, dramatically waving his hands around to add to the narrative, when a song that some of the group, including Taehyung, recognize. They’re quick to rush to the dance floor, not wanting to be seated during what is apparantly the most well known song to most of the partygoers. Jungkook supposes he can let this one slide.
It’s when one song shifts into another, and then another, that Jungkook becomes nervous. He’s in a strange house surrounded by people he doesn’t know, all of which are a different level of inebreiated. He decides to look around for his friend, ready to remind him that he’ll now be feeding him for a week.
It doesn’t take long for him to locate Taehyung. He’s still on the dance floor, though he now has a drink in hand. He moves to get his attention when he notes that he isn’t dancing alone.
He’s not sure who the guy is, he’s never seen him before right now. He just knows the way he runs his hands along Taehyung’s body, the way they sway sensually to the song currently playing, is making him sick to his stomach.
He finds himself running to the door, hoping that Taehyung didn’t see him standing there, intruding on the moment he was sharing with this stranger. The longer he stays, the harder he finds it to breathe. He eventually makes it out onto the front porch, catching his breath as if he’s just completed a marathon. Once he calms down, he begins his walk back to the dorm, unable to get the images out of his mind. He checks the time. 10:47 pm.
He didn’t even make it the full hour.
~
Like Jungkook often does when he’s upset, he holes himself up in his room. He spends the entirety of the next day hunched over his computer, completing assignments before he turns to video games to ease his mind. While in the middle of a particularly tough fight, his phone dings. He groans before pausing, picking up the device to see who could possibly be disturbing him.
He visibly deflates when he sees that it’s Taehyung.
Not long after he left the party last night, he had seen a flurry of messages sent from the man in question. He elected to ignore them, deciding he had been through enough for one night. Now, though, he feels that he should at least let him know he’s okay and that he made it home safely. Sighing, he opens the text thread.
Tae Tae: Whered u go
Tae Tae: I thought i saw u
Great. So Jungkook’s staring didn’t go unnoticed. He drags a hand down his face before he continues reading.
Tae Tae: Were u not having fun
Tae Tae: m sorry
Tae Tae: :(
Jungkook finds his resolve cracking, if only a little. That is, until he reads the next message.
Tae Tae: I wanted u to neet someone
Well, this confirms everything he needed to know. His feelings were completely one sided. All the moments he worried he was reading too far into were just that, his own hopes being projected on to his friends. With his heart now heavier than it’s ever been, he finally reads the most recent message, though it barely registers in his mind.
Tae Tae: Hey, I’m sorry I left you alone last night. Time kind of got away from me, but I wanna make it up to you. Please let me know that you’re safe.
Jungkook finally responds, a half hearted “I’m okay,” and shuts his phone off immediately, not wanting to hear Taehyung’s apologetic messages that likely came in after.
~
It’s been days since the party, and Taehyung is beginning to worry.
He knows he messed up. He knows he promised Jungkook that he wouldn’t leave him alone for too long, but he ultimately wasn’t able to keep that promise. No, it’s not that he wasn’t able to, but rather he didn’t.
He told himself he’d return to Jungkook’s side after one song. That one song turned into him grabbing a drink, and ending up back on the dance floor with his friends. One more song, one more drink, one more song, one more drink, he cycled through these until an hour had passed since he left. He thought at one point he’d seen Jungkook, watching him in real time as he failed in doing the one thing he promised to do. He thinks now that it was likely just his imagination, his mind’s way of making him feel guilty.
He feels that he’s missed an opportunity. He wasn’t lying about wanting Jungkook to have a fun night out, that much is true. He’s always tried to push Jungkook out of his comfort zone from time to time. The other reason, the one he planned on surprising Jerry with, was introducing him to the guy he’d been seeing. He’d been friends with Shownu for about a year now, and they’d just recently decided if they wanted to explore being something more.
He thought this would be as good an opportunity as any to introduce the two of them, but he’d gotten carried away, and now Jungkook wasn’t speaking to him.
He felt a bit better knowing that Jungkook had made it home safely, but the coldness in his answer told him that he wasn’t out of the woods just yet. He’d really messed up this time.
Jungkook wasn’t only not speaking to him, he was even avoiding him.
He knows that Jungkook has been going to his other classes, if Jimin’s word is to be trusted, but for some reason he’s been absent in their one shared class. He’s likely been asking to be sent any work that he’s missed, being one of the proffesor’s favorite students. It’s unlike him to stay upset for this long. Soemthing must’ve happened before he decided to leave.
He decides that today, he’ll go and apologize in person. Somtehing he probably should’ve done in the first place.
He visits Jungkook’s dorm on a Wednesday afternoon, knowing that he’s in between classes right now and likely taking a nap. He makes his way through the small lobby and to the elevator, and suddenly he finds himself getting nervous. What happens if Jungkook doesn’t answer the door? Or worse, what if he does answer the door, but tells Taehyung he wants nothing to do with him? Or what if he knocks on his door and it creaks open slightly revealing Jungkook’s lifeless body and he gets framed for his murder only to suddenly be transported back in time-
Taehyung shakes his head. That’s the first episode of Erased. He’s spiralling.
The elevator dings, signalling that it’s almost time to either get his friend back or become the protagonist of an anime.
He should really finish Erased.
He makes his way to the dorm, operating purely on muscle memory after having been here so many times. When he arrives, he doesn’t bother hesitating, knowing he’ll think too hard and talk himself out of doing this, as he often does. He hears shuffling on the other side of the door, and suddenly, it swings open.
Taehyung doesn’t think he’s ever seen Jungkook in such a disheveled state.
His hair sticks out all over his head, he’s got on sweatpants and a hoodie, covered in wrinkles and mismatched. If Taehyung looks close enough, he can see a slight red tint to the skin around Jungkook’s eyes, signifying he’s been crying.
Taehyung  feels something within him stir at the sight, but he ignores it.
Jungkook’s eyes are directed at the floor when the door first swings open, and when he looks up to meet Taehyung’s eyes, his own widen in disbelief.
They stand there in awkward silence for a few brief moments, not sure how to approach each other after how their last encounter had gone. Jungkook sighs, a tired, sad sound.
“Why don’t you come in?”
~
Jungkook is at a loss for words.
He was fast asleep when he’d heard the knock at the door, the sound waking him from his restless slumber. He drags himself out of bed, tossing on the first hoodie he sees lying in a crumpled heap on the floor, and tosses it on.
Nothing could have prepared him for when he opened the door.
Taehyung looks like he usually does, sweats and a hoodie with hair that was perfectly tossed. “People like the effortless look,” Taehyung had explained one day. He thinks he understands what he meant now.
After the two of them stand there akwardly, not sure where to go from here, Jungkook decides to invite him in. He decides if they’re going to stare at each other and say nothing, he’d prefer to do so within the comfort of his dorm.
Taehyung seems to look around the room, likely taking note of the mess that Jungkook currently resides in. A wave of insecurity washes over Jungkook at this.
“I wasn’t really expecting company,” Jungkook explains weakly.
“I didn’t think so,” Taehyung says. “I’m sorry I showed up unannounced like this. You’ve kind of been…”
“Avoiding you?”
“Yeah.”
A beat of silence goes by before Taehyung speaks again.
“Look, I know I said I wouldn’t need to-”
“It’s okay.” Taehyung pauses, confused.
“You didn’t even let me finish.”
“I don’t need to. I’ve already forgiven you.”
“Then why-”
“I just needed space, that’s all.”
“So you’re not mad anymore?”
“Nope.”
“Promise?
“Yup.”
“Does this mean I don’t still have to buy you food?”
“Oh, no. You’re still buying me food.” The two of them share a laugh. The air feels much lighter than when Taehyung first arrived here.
Truth be told, Jungkook had forgiven Taehyung as soon as he opened the door. He’d started to feel bad about ghosting his friend, knowing that he would worry. He felt even wrose knowing that it wasn’t really Taehyung leaving him that had made him so upset, but rather his own feelings that were getting in the way.
If putting his own feelings aside would ultimately make Taehyung happy, then that’s just something he would have to do.
Taehyung coaxes Jungkook out of his dorm with the promise of greasy food from the campus diner, and he happily accepts.
~
A week has gone by since the two of them made up.
It hasn’t been mentioned yet, but Jungkook has a feeling that Taehyung will ask to introduce him to that other guy again. He knows it’ll happen eventually, and despite his dread, he just wishes Taehyung would ask so he can get it over with.
The two of them are at Taehyung’s apartment, claiming to be “studying” when in reality this was just an excuse for them to lounge around and watch reruns of Hell’s Kitchen. It’s when Taehyung keeps glancing over at Jungkook thinking he’s being subtle that he knows something is up. He grabs the remote and pauses, just as Chef Ramsay has finished calling someone a panini head.
“Okay, you’ve been watching me like you’re waiting for me to explode.” Taehyung chuckles, having been caught.
“Alright, you got me. You are so observant, you know that?”
“You’re stalling.”
“I would never!” Taehyung puts his hand over his heart, feigning offense.
“Please just spit it out already, you're making me nervous.”
“Fine, fine.” Taehyung takes a deep breath. “I want you to come to a bar with me this weekend.” Jungkook opens his mouth to speak, but Taehyung cuts him off. “Before you argue! I’ve been to the place before, it’s really chill. It’s like a grill and bar place. Not a lot of people go there, so don’t worry about crowds. It’s totally fine-”
“Now you’re rambling.”
“Sorry, sorry. I just really wanted you to be comfortable.”
It’s a sweet gesture, and Jungkook’s heart flutters against his will. He does his best to ignore it. He pretends to think for a bit about Taehyung’s proposal.
“You promise we’re not gonna get there and immediately be met with a huge crowd like we’re in some old tv show?” Taehyung lights up.
“I’ll see what I can do!”
“Then I’ll be there.” At this, Taehyung lets out a sigh of relief.
“I was worried you’d say no for a second.” Jungkook picks up the remote and resumes the show. “I think you and Shownu will really get along.”
Jungkook freezes. He’d never heard the other guy’s name before. Now, reality is starting to set in. This is real. He’s meeting the guy that’s in the place he’s wanted to be in for such a long time.
He has a feeling he and Shownu will not, in fact, get along.
~
Jungkook doesn’t ever think he’s taken longer to get ready for something in his life.
He’s still going to go, of course. He wouldn’t just stand his friend up after he did everything he could to accomodate him and his mildly crippling anxiety. He just wouldn’t pretend to be enthusiastic about it. At least, not until he had to.
He decides that this time he’ll follow Taehyung’s advice, throwing a leather jacket on to add to his otherwise plain outfit. He doesn’t know why he does it, maybe just to keep himself grounded, but he finds it comforting in a way. Like when he was a kid and he believed hiding under the blankets would protect him from whatever creatures may be lurking in the night.
Only this time the creatures are his stupid feelings. His stupid feelings which won’t go away no matter how many blankets he piles onto himself to burrow away from them.
The universe decides to break him out of the rabbit hole of overthinking he finds himself peering over the edge of, as there’s a knock on the door.
He opens the door and comes face to face with Taehyung once again. He manages to find humor in his current situation, the similarities to the diasastrous night that began all of his inner turmoil uncanny.
“I see you decided to take my advice,” Taehyung remarks, looking at his leather jacket. “It looks good.” Jungkook offers him a small smile.
“We should go before the crowd gets there,” Jungkook teases.
“There won’t be a crowd!” Taehyung says, exasperated. “You keep talking about them and you’re gonna jinx it.”
“If it means I get more free food, I think I’ll manage.” Taehyung playfully shoves him, and the two of them head off.
~
The bar doesn’t seem particularly busy tonight, much to Jungkook’s delight.
There’s a decent amount of cars, but given that it’s a Saturday night it could be much worse.
Entering the bar, it’s clear to see that this place is much different compared to the other bars Jungkook has been dragged to over the years. There’s tables and booths scattered arund the building, along with an actual bar for the people who would prefer the more traditional experience. There’s music flowing through the speakers, much lower in volume compared to the likely heavily packed clubs spread around the city, but still loud enough that the lyrics can be heard. The smell of food floats through the air from the kitchen in the back, the enticing scent having Jungkook almost floating in the air like he’s in a cartoon. There’s a few groups of people sitting at the tables and bars, chatting away, others on the small dance floor.
“This is the nicest place you’ve ever taken me to,” Jungkook says as the two of them make their way to an empty booth. “Are you sure we’re allowed in here?” Taehyung chuckles.
“Oh don’t be like that, the other places weren’t even that bad!” Jungkook raises an eyebrow at him. “Okay, they were bad, but I can go to nice places too!”
“A broken clock is right two times a day, I suppose.” Taehyung ignores Jungkook’s thinly veiled insult.
“I invited Jimin to join us as well since you two seemed to get along.”
“For what?”
“I just…” Taehyung trails off for a second. “I didn’t want you to be a tird wheel.”
“Oh. Right.”
Jungkook hadn’t even considered that before agreeing to come. He’s glad he’ll have at least someone else to focus on to keep him from curling in on himself entirely.
As if on cue, Taehyung spots the two in question and, in an extremely embarrassing fashion for anyone else, waves both his arms at them to catch their attention. Jungkook hides his face, hoping that no one other than the two people now coming over, if Taehyung’s satisfied smile is anything to go by, will recognize him.
“Sorry we’re so late! Lots of traffic tonight,” a voice that Jungkook recognizes as Jimin says. Jungkook looks up to greet him, when his eyes drift over to who he assumes is Shownu.
The first thing Jungkook notices about Shownu is that he’s significantly more built than what he was expecting. The second thing he ntoices is that Shownu could easily drop out of college and pursue a modeling career. This is possibly the most beautiful man Jungkook has ever seen, and he finds himself fixing his hair because of it.
Jungkook has already decided that Shownu is his mortal enemy.
~
The animosity doesn’t last as long as Jungkook would have liked.
Shownu is funny, well put together, and just an all around nice guy. He does his best to include them all in conversation, and even offered to pay for the first round of drinks.
He’s almost distracted, not expecting to actually enjoy himself tonight, until Shownu plants a kiss on Taehyung’s cheek while Jimin tells a story. He feels his stomach start to turn at the sight, but he does his best to ignore it, not wanting to to ruin everyone’s mood with his jealousy.
The night goes on, the increasing alcohol in his system making Taehyung more and more affectionate as time passes. He’s leaning on Shownu more now, the latter seeming to enjoy the attention while also signalling to the waitor to serve Taehyung water in place of alcohol.
Jungkook sighs. He really can’t bring himself to dislike the guy.
Taehyung decides that he wants to dance, so he drags Shownu away and begins leading him to the dance floor, a few other couples having moved that way as hell.
Once the two of them leave, Jungkook lets out a breath, now feeling like he can breathe while the two of them are off being all over each other in a place outside of his field of vision.
“So how long have you had feelings for Tae?” Jimin asks casually, taking a sip of his wine as if he’d just made a remark about the weather. Jungkook is, understandably, caught off guard. He does his best to maintain his composure.
“What are you talking about?” Jungkook says after what felt like way too long to be an honest answer.
“Dude, you can drop the act. I won’t tell anyone,” Jimin says. “Though I’m surprised you haven’t told on yourself just yet. You’ve been trying to stare daggers at Shownu since we got here.”
“Trying?”
“Yes. And failing. Because you don’t even hate Shownu, you barely know him. You’re just jealous he’s in the position you wish you were.” Jungkook sighs.
“Y’know, I didn’t come out tonight to be read like this,” He says with a chuckle.
“It’s part of my charm. Consider me your traumatizing life coach.”
“Did you steal that from a TikTok?”
“Hey, I’m the one doing the reading here.” The two of them share a laugh. “But between you and me,” Jimin starts, suddenly sounding serious, “I don’t think their relationship will really go anywhere.” Jungkook’s interest has peaked now, and he turns to face Jimin fully.
“What makes you say that?”
“Can’t say. I’m sworn to secrecy.” Jimin thinks for a moment. “Besides, it’s best you don’t hear it from me. It would probably cause chaos otherwise.”
“You’re beginning to worry me.”
“Also part of my charm.”
“Is Shownu like…. A murderer or something?” Jimin shakes his head, an amused smile gracing his features. “A bank robber? A secret agent?” Jungkook goes silent for a moment, and then gasps. “Is the government after him for committing tax faud?” Jimin begins to laugh.
“Nah, nothing as interesting as any of those.” Jimin says, and then leans in. “He’s an alien.” When Jungkook’s eyes widen, Jimin laughs again. “I’m kidding! Just kidding. He’s just a normal guy.”
“Should I just move on then?” Jungkook asks, his cheerful demeanor starting to fade away.
“That’s up to you to decide,” Jimin says. “But.. don’t lose hope just yet. That’s all I can tell you.” Jungkook sighs for the umpteenth time tonight. “Come on, I’ll take you home.”
“But what about-”
“They’ll be fine. They probably won’t even notice we’re gone.”
The two of them wave a passing waitress over to pay their tab, and head out the door.
The drive is quiet, save for the soft melody coming from the radio. They arrive at Jungkook’s dorm and, though the end of the night left him confused, he still had a good time. He thinks he and Jimin will be really good friends one day. When he opens the dorm of the car, he turns to face Jimin.
“Hey, um,” Jungkook starts, “thanks for talking to me.”
 “Ah, no problem,” Jimin insists. “I’ll see you around, yeah?” Jungkook nods before stepping out of the car and heading to the dorm, thoughts floating through his head as he tries to figure out what Jimin knows about Shownu and Taehyung’s relationship that he doesn’t.
Unbeknownst to Jimin and Jungkook, Taehyung did, in fact, notice that the two of them had left together, if the tears that flowed so freely were anything to go by.
~
The next week, classes are cancelled, most buildings on campus are closed, save for the necessities like the dorms and dining hall, and people all over campus have either gone home or decided to hibernate in their dorms.
There’s a winter storm coming.
The snowfall predicted is said to be a few feet at least, and the roads will be iced over. Campus slowly becomes a ghost town, with no one wanting to be trapped in their tiny dorms under these conditions.
Jungkook opts to stay put where he is. He likes the idea of there being significantly less people around, snow falling and turning the once boring school into a winter wonderland. It reminds him of when he was a kid, and he would get to stay home and play in the snow, until his mom would call him inside, worried he would get sick.
He’s in the middle of a game now, deciding today was a good day to do the most challenging levels of Super Mario Maker he could find, when he hears his phone ding on his bed. The noise distracts him, causing him to fall into an awaiting pit of lava, the sound signalling his character’s demise mocking him.
He turns around to grab the device, lighting the screen up and revealing a text from Taehyung.
Tae Tae: Wanna go get lunch?
Jungkook is about to type out his response when another message comes through.
Tae Tae: You’re never gonna beat that level
Tae Tae: Too many trick moves
Jungkook is almost shocked that Taehyung knows what he’s up to, before remembering he’d been struggling with this particular level for weeks now and had made that fact very known. He begins typing out his response.
Kook: I’ll have you know I’m an expert gamer
Kook: Where we meeting up?
They end up going to the same diner they went to just last week, having already formed an addiction for the unhealthy food they have to offer.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen this much snow in my life,” Taehyung says after they’ve placed their orders.
“Me either. Normally I like the cold but I think even I have my limits.” Taehyung laughs.
“Man, we’re getting old huh? We’re sitting here talking about the weather. I thought we had at least another ten years before we got to this point.” It’s Jungkook’s turn to laugh now.
“Only ten?”
“Maybe not. I did just have to drag you away from a video game.”
“There’s no age limit on video games!”
“Yeah, yeah. I’ve heard this rant before.”
“You keep calling me out and you’ll hear it again.” The two share a laugh.
“Do you ever miss being a kid?” Taehyung asks, suddenly sounds serious.
“Who wouldn’t? I didn’t even know student debt existed when I was a kid, now look at me drowning in it.”
“Yeah, that’s true,” Taehyung says, then pauses. “But what about like, I dunno, feelings and stuff?” This catches Jungkook’s attention.
“What like, hormones and stuff?” Taehyung chuckles.
“Kind of. Like, the only emotions we understood as kids were like anger and sadness and sadness. But not even like, fully either.”
“I think I get what you mean. When did things get so complicated?”
“Exactly. Everything used to be so simple.”
The two of them sit in silence for a moment. Neither of them usually discuss things like this with each other. Something has shifted between the two of them, thought what that shift might be, neither is sure. This is new territory for them, so neither is sure how to go about such a seemingly sudden change.
“Y’know,” Taehyung starts, “even with everything that’s changed, I’m glad you’ve stuck with me throughout all of it.”
“Of course I did,” Jungkook responds immediately. “How could I not after you were pretty much my guide throughout middle school?”
“You were wandering the halls looking for your next class for three days! I couldn’t just leave you hanging like that.”
“I totally could’ve managed.”
“And you’re also totally gonna beat that level you’ve been struggling with.”
“I was close!” Jungkook says, dramatically slamming his hands on the table. “I was so close, but then you dragged me away.”
“Oh sure, blame your lack of skills on me.”
The two of them continue to banter and bicker with each other, and things feel like they always did between the two of them. When their food arrives, they immediately begin trying to catch the food in their mouths, tossing it to each other and keeping score, and it feels like they’re back in middle school.
It feels like everything is simple again.
~
Once the two of them leave the diner, having filled themselves with unhealthy food that they’ll definitely regret later, they begin the trek back to Jungkook’s dorm. On the way, they pass by the school’s fountain at the center of campus. It’s frozen over now, coins that students tossed in for good luck rest at the bottom of the ice.
“Think we could break this and make some money?” Taehyung asks.
“It’s probably mostly pennies. Would it even be worth all the trouble?” Jungkook responds, looking into the fountain and examining the copper toned coins frozen in place.
“Where’s your sense of adventure?” Taehyung is turned away from Jungkook now, but goes unnoticed as Jungkook continues his search. He spots an old band aid among the coins, scrunching his nose in disgust.
“The same place the coins are.” He looks up and sees Taehyung is facing away from him, but thinks nothing of it. “Your ideas of adventure usually end with us getting in trouble anyway. You’d be in jail by now if it weren’t for-”
Jungkook is cut off when a snowball is hurled at him, hitting the side of his face. He looks up immediately, meeting the mischievous eyes of his best friend.
“What? Too mature for a snowball fight?”
“You don’t know what you’ve done.”
Jungkook scoops up snow and begins forming it in no time, and Taehyung’s eyes widen in fear.
It’s not long before a war has broken out in the quad. They throw what feels like hundreds of snowballs between the two of them, laughing and screaming with delight as they do so. Eventually, the two of them tired themselves out, lying next to each other and laughing, the absurdity of their impromptu snowball fight finally setting in.
“We haven’t hung out like this in such a long time,” Jungkook says through giggles.
“Yea, it’s been so long. I’ve missed you over the past week,” Taehyung agrees.
“I’ve missed you, too.” Jungkook says. The next part, he lets slip out on accident, lowering his voice so that Taehyung can’t hear him. “I love you.’
He didn’t lower it enough.
“What’d you just say?”
Jungkook’s stomach drops. He couldn’t have heard him. He didn’t.
“I just said I missed you.”
“No, no. You said something after that.”
“I think you’re just hearing things. Did you get snow in your ears?”
“Jungkook.”
“I have to go.”
Jungkook stands from his spot and adjusts his jacket. Before he can make his escape and regret every life choice that brought him to this moment, he feels a tug on his arm.
“Say it again.”
“No. Please let me go.” He refuses to turn around and face Taehyung, and something in his chest aches at the realization.
“Don’t leave.” Jungkook says nothing, but he doesn’t move to get away either.
“I need to go.”
“You don’t.”
“Yes I do!” Jungkook yells, catching both of them off guard. “I can’t be around you. Not when I’ve felt like this for years.” Jungkook finally turns to face Taehyung, tears streaking down his face. “Not when I’m watching you fall for someone else. Someone who isn’t me.”
Taehyung finds his hold on Jungkook’s arm is weakening, and he lets Jungkook walk away.
Jungkook starts back on his way to his dorm, moving quickly, hoping that the faster he got to his drm the faster the embarrassment he felt would disappear. Taehyung’s touch, he found, burned against his skin, completely different from the gentle warmth he’d grown accustomed to. Taehyung would go to Shownu, and after some time, he’d forget about Jungkook. That’s what he believed.
He would never know that Taehyung stayed frozen in place as he watched Jungkook’s retreating form, tears of his own staining his face.
~
Taehyung has lost track of how long it’s been since that fateful day in the snow.
A few days? A week? Two weeks? He’s honestly not sure anymore.
Jungkook’s confession had woken up so many things in him at once. Sadness upon realizing that his friend has been holding onto those feelings fornsuch a long time. Guilt knowing that he’d essentially been flaunting his new relationship in his face, blatantly letting his friend know that he wasn’t interested in the most callous way he could do so. The worst part, though?
It had brought back old feelings he’d thought he had moved on from.
There was a time where Taehyung was certain that he and Jungkook would end up together at some point. The two of them were inseperable from the time they first became friends to a few weeks ago. It always made sense to him that they would get together and stay that way for a long time.
But things didn’t work out that way.
Taehyung had taken Jungkook’s shyness about the subject of them as a silent rejection. As a result, he’d told himself he had to move on from him, and for a while, he did. That is, until they’d started college together.
Once their environment had changed, Taehyung had noticed a change in Jungkook..
He was still averse to parties, that was still the same. But he’d grown more confident in himself. He’d been exploring different hobbies, started getting tattoos like he always talked about doing, he’d even joined a few clubs. Even with his newfound confidence, he was still the same boy that Taehyung had helped create a place for when they were kids.
Against his better judgement, Taehyung found himself falling for him again.
He thought that now, since he’d grown as a person, surely now he would confess his feelings. But the confession never came, and Taehyung had to once again push his feelings away. This is when Shownu came in.
Originally, they were just friends with benefits. No strings attached, they had agreed. They got along quite well, and that was all there was to it.
But Taehyung’s feelings for Jungkook still lingered, and he decided he needed to take it a step further.
He was thankful that Shownu had been okay with getting to know each other outside of the bedroom. Eventually, the guilt of using Shownu for his own reasons had started to eat away at him. He was leading someone else on but he couldn’t stop himself from doing it.
But when he’d noticed that Jungkook and Jimin left together that night at the bar, the dam broke.
That night, he’d told Shownu everything. The years of pining that had resulted in nothing, the reason he’d started their arrangement, everything, and Shownu had been nothing but understanding.
So here he was now. Cooped up in his room, sittting with the fact that he’d been casuing his friend so much strife, all because of his own selfishness. Even now knowing Jungkook’s feelings, he fears that he’s messed up too many times for them to ever have something more than they already do.
He’s in the midst of wallowing in self pity when he hears a knock at the door.
“It’s open,” he says, refusing to leave from the cocoon of blankets he’s buried himself in.
The door creaks open slowly, and Jimin walks in, rattling a bag of food like someone would do for their pet cat.
“I’ve got a piping hot bag of bad decisions with me,” Jimin says, approaching the vaguely human shaped pile he believes is his friend. Taehyung grumbles in response. “Still havent’ heard from Jungkook?”
“No.”
“You gonna reach out to him?’
“No.”
“You gonna stay in here and watch Bob Ross painting videos instead of facing your fears head on?”
“Yup.” Jimin sighs.
“You two are very similar, you know that?” Taehyung says nothing. “You guys really need to talk about… whatever it is you’ve got going on. That’s the main problem here.”
“What good will that do?” Taehyung asks, irritation present in his voice. “He probably hates me. And I don’t even blame him.”
“Well, at least we’ve crossed that bar.” Taehyung glares at him. “You’re not the only one at fault here, though. He bottles his feelings up as much as you do.”
“So what am I supposed to do, Jimin?” a sniffle. “I don’t know what to do anymore.’
Jimin’s heart aches at the pain in Taehyung’s voice. He doesn’t think he’s ever seen the younger boy so distraught. He moves to comfort him, placing a hand on Taehyung’s back to try to calm him down, if even a little.
“I’m not sure,” Jimin says. “I think right now you should be honest with him. I think at this point, all he needs is for you to tell him how you really feel.”
“Do you think it’s that easy?”
“I do.”
Taehyung considers this for a moment. If he’d been honest from the beginning, years ago even, they wouldn’t be here. He just hopes that later is better than never.
“Okay. Then that’s what I’ll do.” Jimin smiles at him.
“Good. Now move over, Bob Ross’ voice eases the troubles of my soul.”
“What troubles do you have?”
“Two idiots not knowing how to communicate.”
“You’re sitting on the floor.”
~
Jungkook has never felt embarrassment as intensely as he does now.
It’s been long enough that any other person likely would’ve moved on, but this wasn’t something as simple as dropping your lunch plate in the middle of the cafeteria and having the entire room clap. Been there, done that.
He’d confessed to his best friend of several years that he’s in love with him. His best friend who he knew was seeing someone, at that.
He’s locked himself in his dorm once again, not even bothering to distract himself. Instead, he opts to just lie in bed and think about where everything had gone wrong in his life over the past few weeks.
Maybe he shouldn’t have let Taehyung talk him into going to that party. What if he hadn’t gone looking for Taehyung when he disappeared that night? Perhaps he shouldn’t have forgiven him so easily. He knew that last one wasn’t an option, though. He would’ve softened up eventually.
Now, things are different. He was okay with livivng with his feelings knowing that they would nver be reciprocated. He would still have Taehyung as a friend, and if he was happy, that would be enough for him, even if he wasn’t the one making him happy.
He’s been getting a lot of texts from Hoseok recently, likely wondering why he hasn’t been showing up to practices. Jungkook takes advantage of the weather conditions, claiming to have gotten sick. Hoseok had believed him at first, but the longer time passed, the more suspicious he got.
Jungkook has sent a couple messages in response, assuring him that everything would be okay, along with other vague promises.
He’s not sure what to do at this point. Maybe he hopes Jimin really has been lying so he can move on properly. He wouldn’t be shocked if Shownu showed up to beat him up at some point. He supposes he deserves it. Shownu hasn’t done anything wrong, and now he’s in the middle of this mess.
While Jungkook begins to spiral from regret to guilt, there’s a knock at the door. This time, he’s a lot less willing to deal with whatever this could be.
“Go away, no one’s here,” Jungkook says halfl heartedly.
“Hmmm, alrighty then,” a voice he recognizes as Hoseok says. “I guess I’ll take my snacks and Marvel movie box set elsewhere!” Jungkook’s eyes widen.
“Fine, it’s open.”
Hoseok walks in, a smug smile on his lips.
“Knew that would work.” He places his bags down before taking a seat at Jungkook’s desk, turning to face him. “So what’s up with you?”
“I told you, I’m sick.”
“If you were sick you wouldn’t have let me in.”
“Maybe I’m in the mood to infect someone.”
“You also get sassier when you’re lying.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
The two of them stare at each other, waiting for the other to break. A few more seconds go by.
“If I talk can we watch Iron Man first?” Jungkook says, not enjoying the silence in the room.
“Yes.” Jungkook sighs.
“Alright.”
Jungkook tells Hoseok everything, starting from how they met in middle school all the way up to what happened that day in the quad. He tells him about all the time they spent together in high school, how they had gone to prom with a group and ended up alone together in a park from their childhoof at the end of the night. He went through the details of Taehyung getting his first apartment, and how Jungkook had spent the first night there with him.
He talks for about an hour, and Hoseok lets him talk, not wanting to interrupt what appears to be the retelling of happy memories. Up until the current events that have him hiding out in his room, that is.
It’s only when Jungkook finishes that Hoseok decides to speak.
“It sounds like you love him a lot,” he says.
“I do,” Jungkook says. “I really do.”
“But it also sounds like he loves you, too.”
“Okay now you’re just making up things to say.’
“No, I’m serious. If what you’ve told me really did happen then it sounds like he’s just as ass over tits in love with you as you are with him.”
“Don’t you mean head over heels?”
“I know what I said.”
“But that can’t be right. He literally invited me on a date with Shownu.”
“Are you sure that night was for Shownu? He went out of his way to find a place you would find the most comfortable. Did he even once mention Shownu liking the place when he was telling you about it?”
Jungkook thinks about this for a moment. He remembers Taehyung ensuring that he would have fun, that this was the most comfortable place for him. He’d even invited Jimin out to ensure he wouldn’t feel left out at any point.
“I mean, I guess. But I think he was just afraid I’d cut him off if he dragged me to some noisy club.”
“Maybe it was both?”
“Maybe. But there’s definitely something there. I know there is.”
“And if there is? What do I do then? I’ve already confessed to him. On accident, like a moron.”
“Well, you already know how you feel. You just gotta wait for him to figure his feelings out.”
“And if he figures out he feels nothing for me?”
“Then you move on. You deserve to be happy too, you know. You shouldn’t have to hurt yourself just to keep him happy. If he was ever your friend he’ll understand that and respect whatever decision you make.”
Jungkook considers his friend's words. It’ll hurt, but if this is what causes the end of a precious friendship, then this is where it ends. He does a lot for other people, never thinking of how that could benefit him. But maybe it’s time for him to do that. At least once.
“Okay.”
“Okay?”
“Yeah. I’ll just have to wait until I hear from him again. And when the time comes to make a decision, I’ll know which one I need to make.”
Hoseok stands from where he’s sitting and crosses the small distance between the two of them, wrapping his arms around Jungkook’s frame. Jungkook returns the gesture.
“Thanks for being here, Hobi.”
“Don’t worry about it, I’m always here if you need me.”
“Can we watch Iron Man now? That was emotionally exhausting.”
“You do know that Iron Man-”
“One emotional outburst at a time, please.”
~
Jungkook is feeling much better these days.
He still hasn’t heard from Taehyung, but that’s okay. He’ll reach out when he’s ready.
The school has reopened, the storm finally passing and the ice starting to melt. Life slowly but surely trickles back onto campus, musch like the way the fountain in the quad has begun to flow like it used to.
It’s when Jungkook is heading back to the dorm to change for practice that he recieves a message he’s been both apprehensive about and excited to recieve.
Tae Tae: Can you come to my apartment tonight? I think it’s time we talked.
Jungkook doesn’t hesitate to answer this time.
Kook: No problem, I’ll see you then.
~
“You sure you’ll be okay?” Hoseok asks from the driver’s seat of his car.
“Yea, I’m sure. I’ll just catch a bus if things go bad.”
“Do not do that. Call me if you need to.”
“Okay dad, anything else?”
“Remember what we talked about.”
“I will.”
Jungkook gets out of the car and makes his way to the door. He turns around before knocking, seeing Hoseok shoot him a thumbs up to cheer him on. Jungkook turns around, takes a deep breath and knocks on the door. Almost immediately, the door swings open, scaring him.
“Were you like, right by the door?” Jungkook asks, obviously startled.
“Yeah. Sorry, I was just nervous.” He peaks over Jungkook’s shoulder and spots Hoseok in the driveway. Taehyung waves at him, which Hoseok mimics before he pulls away. “Do you wanna head in?”
“That’s probably for the best. It’s still pretty cold out here.”
Jungkook lets Taehyung lead him to the living room, despite having already been here more times than he can count. They sit on opposite ends of the couch, not sure how to start after how they left things the last time they saw each other.
“So, um,” Taehyung starts, “how’ve you been?”
“Oh, god, can we please skip the awkward small talk? My head might explode,” Jungkook says, chucling slightly.
“Sorry,” Taehyung says. “I’m just not sure where to start.”
“Do you want me to go first?”
“Please?” Jungkook nods. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay. I’m nervous too.” He takes a deep breath. “Well, I think it’s safe to say we both know how I feel about you.” Taehyung nods. “It’s okay that you don’t feel the way that I do. You aren’t obligated to do so just because we’ve known each other for so long.” He pauses. “But I won’t pretend this isn’t hurting me. I can’t keep doing that to myself. I’ll do my best to hold on to our friendship but it becomes too much for me… then I’ll just have to go.”
Taehyung can only stare at him in shock. He can’t believe the words that he’s hearing right now.
“You think… that I don’t feel the same about you?”
“I mean… you didn’t say anything when I confessed to you.”
“You kinda caught me off guard.”
“That makes two of us.”
“But that’s actually what I invited you over to talk about.” A pause. “I’ve been in love with you since high school.” Jerry’s eyes widen. “Maybe even before that.”
“Wait, but what about-”
“Shownu? I just started hooking up with him to try to get over you. We just tried the dating thing to see where he would go.”
“So you guys are-”
“Broken up? Yeah, we split after that night at the bar.” Jungkook is about to ask another question, and this time Taehyung beats him to it. “I kinda thought you left with Jimin so you guys could… you know.”
“Why the hell would you think that?”
“In my defense I’d had a lot to drink that night.”
“You seem to do that a lot.”
“So I like a good cocktail, sue me!”
“You like several good cocktails”
The air feels significantly lighter than it had when they first sat down, now that their feelings are out in the open. The silence that settles over them after a bit more bantering is comfortable. They’ve moved closer to each other now as they catch each other up on everything they’ve been up to.
Jungkook decides he can’t help himself.
“Can I kiss you?”
Taehyung pauses immediately. He thinks he’s misheard him at first, until he sees Jungkook’s eyes flicker down to his lips. He’s certain his voice will betray him as soon as he speaks, so he decides to nod instead.
Slowly, agonizingly slowly, they inch closer to one another.
When their lips finally connect, there are no fireworks. It doesn’t feel like time has stopped around them, and it doesn’t feel like the rest of the world has faded away and they’re the only ones left.
It feels like coming inside and having hot chocolate after playing in the snow all day. It feels like your parents cooking your favorite meal after you’ve had a hard day. It feels like putting on an old, worn pair of shoes after spending the day trying to break in a new pair all day.
Kissing Taehyung feels like home.
One kiss turns into two, which melts into five, and eventually the two of them find themselves unable to separate from one another. Jungkook pushes Taehyung down until his back meets the cushion of the sofa, and Taehyung allows him to do so. Jungkook’s dragging his hands wherever he can reach, wanting to memorize every detail of Taehyung’s body. Taehyung slides his hands under Jungkook’s shirt, drawing small shapes in his skin.
It’s when Jungkook grinds his hips into Taehyung’s by mistake, a whimper being ripped from Taehyung’s throat because of it, that they realize the compromising position they’re in. Jungkook pulls away, his eyes drifitng down to Taehyung’s kiss swollen lips.
“Do you want to-”
“Yes.” Jungkook blinks.
“You didn’t even let me-”
“Don’t need to. I’ve been waiting for this for years.”
“I just don’t wanna hurt you.”
“Ooooh, you think you could?” Jungkook squints at him.
“You think I can’t?”
“I’m just saying, I’ve been with a lot of guys-”
“Can we please not talk you hooking up with other guys when I’m on top of you-”
“-and only one has ever been able to make me cry.”
“Wait, who?” Taehyung freezes.
“Forget I said anything,” he tries to lean up to kiss him again, but Jungkook pushes him back down immediately.
“Tell me who it was.”
“But-”
Now.” Jungkook’s demeanor has changed completely, but Taehyung can’t help but continue to tease him.
“Hmm I can’t seem to remember his name now. How odd! Bizarre, even”
“Taehyung.”
“Fine, you’re no fun. It was Shownu.” Jungkook tenses up. “It’s fine, don’t worry if you can’t-”
“Are you challenging me?”
“Maybe a little.”
Jungkook captures Taehyung’s lips again, much more vigorously than he had before. He grinds into Taehyung again, his movements deliberate, rough. The action elicits another sound from Taehyung’s lips, and Jungkook wishes he could make it his ringtone.
“Be careful what you wish for, baby boy.”
It’s not long before clothes are shed, scattered about the apartment in a careless fashion. They continue their minstrations, touches evolving into grabbing, light whimpers turning into loud moans.
Sounds of skin slapping against skin bounce off every wall of the apartment. Breathy moans and whines blend together, creating a symphony of pleasure between the two of them. They continue on until the wee hours of the morning, their bodies having grown slick with sweat.
Jungkook is the second person to ever make Taehyung cry.
~
The following weekend, there’s another party held at Kim Seokjin’s house.
Taehyung convinces Jungkook once again to go with him, promising they could leave whenever he was ready.
Jungkook is much more confident now, his arm slung over Taehyung’s shoulder as the two of them walk in. Mirroring the last time, Hoseok spots the two of them immediately when they walk in. Much like last time, he’s drunk.
“Jungkook! You came! I haven’t seen you in so long.”
“You saw me two days ago.”
“Exactly. That’s practically years!” He leans in closer to try, and fail,to whisper to Jungkook. “So what’s up with him.” He very blatantly gestures to Taehyung, who’s watching the two of them interact, amusement written all over his features.
“Things are good. We’re good.” Hoseok smiles before directing his attention to Taehyung.
“If you’d hurt him I swear I would’ve destroyed you.”
“You cried in the mall because a bunch of middle school kids tripped you and called your shoes stupid.”
“Middle schoolers are mean, man.” Hoseok hears someone call his name somewhere in the distance, and stumbles in that direction.
“Is he gonna be plastered every time we meet?” Taehyung asks, watching as Hoseok turns to wave goodbye to them.
“Honestly? Probably.”
They find their way to the same area they had been the last time they were last time, occupied by the very same people as well. This time, Shownu sits among them. For the first time tonight, Jungkook feels nervous. Shownu sees the two of them coming and waves them over.
“Hey, Jungkook! Haven’t seen you in a while.”
“Yea, Guess it has been a long time.” A beat of silence. “Listen, I-”
“No no, don’t you dare apologize. It’s completely fine. I didn’t expect things to get serious anyway.”
“Are you sure? Because-”
“No, really. I’m completely fine. I’m glad you two are happy.” He smiles, and Jungkook returns it.
He decides he thinks Shownu is actually a pretty cool guy.
Taehyung and Jungkook stay for a while, laughing and talking with the other people seated in the area. Taehyung eventually begins drinking to the point of heavy intoxication, as he often does, and Jungkook opts to take him home. They say their goodbyes, and Jungkook carries Taehyung out on his back and all the way back to campus.
Though it’s only been about a month since they were last here, the walk home makes Jungkook feel nostalgic. The night that had ended so badly for him had resulted in a whirlwind of emotions and unfortunate events. Even so, he thinks he’d do it all over again if he had the chance.
He glances over his shoulder and is met with the sleeping face of Taehyung, him having dozed off halfway through the walk home. As he gazes at the view before him he thinks yes, he absolutely would go through all of that again.
As long as he ended up with Taehyung in the end, he would do anything.
monsta x short scenario reaction to seeing their s/o being too short to reach/get something
Whoop! I’m finally back at it! Hope ya’ll staying safe and doing alright. Requests are open for Ateez and B.A.P. Unfortunately, I have retired other groups I have done in the past, but I will be posting requests received before yet.
Shownu: A little teasing every now and then, but doesn’t even need to be asked to help. Will kindly get you a small ladder so you can keep your independence and help yourself when he’s not around
Tumblr media
“Who would do such a thing?” You grumble to yourself as you stand on the very tip of your toes and lean against the fridge as you try to reach the stupid box of sugary cereal that someone had been kind enough to PUT AT THE VERY BACK OF THE TOP OF THE FRIDGE. You managed to be able to touch the box with your fingertips, but it only teasingly wobbled from side to side as if taunting you of your struggles. “You little-”Before you managed to fully curse the jerk of a certain crunchy captain, a wild little step ladder appeared at your feet. With wide eyes, you followed the arms that had placed the helpful little contraption there and found your very handsome boyfriend smiling back at you with more amusement in that smile than you liked, but you certainly couldn’t scold him for it as he had offered something so incredibly helpful to you.“When did you get this?” you questioned, giving him an appreciative little smile.Returning to his full height from his crouched position, he continued to grin at you. “I just got back from the store now. I kind of figured with the tour coming you could use a little help with a certain disadvantage of yours that I won’t be here to offer.”
Wonho: Giggles every time. Doesn’t help right away because it’s cute to watch you struggle
Tumblr media
You were helping with decorating for a surprise party for another member. You weren’t sure whose bright idea it was to put you in charge of streamers, but as you stepped back from your handy work, you couldn’t help but pout at how pathetically low you had hung them on the wall regardless of how far you had stretched to get them higher. With a little sigh, you returned to trying to fix them, jumping against the wall to try and hang them higher. A deep pout immediately formed over your lips as you heard a very distinct giggle from behind you. Glancing behind yourself, you casted a heated glare at your boyfriend who then transitioned from giggling to full-on laughing at your misfortune. “Ya!” you scold him with a little huff before returning to your impossible task. Again, you jumped, trying to pin the streamers higher, but only accomplishing to hang it quite crookedly. You sighed and pouted at the poor job you’ve done before a pair of arms encircled you from behind.“You have no idea how cute you are. I can’t handle it,” Wonho lowly murmurs in your ear, earning a little smile from yourself, regardless of how mad you want to pretend to be with him. “Teamwork?” He offered, turning you slightly to look at him, a little grin still playing on his lips before he placed a quick kiss on your warm cheek and let go of you to bend down and offer his shoulders for you to hop and and gain his height with your own.
Minhyuk: Fanboys and teases in the cutest way because he finds it utterly adorbs
Tumblr media
Moving into a new apartment is always an experience full of excitement and stress. Currently, you’re facing the stress as you task yourself with hanging the decor in your living room. Minhyuk had been kind enough to hang the shelf above your entertainment center for you, but unfortunately, he happens to be significantly taller than yourself and you find that even on tiptoe, you cannot quite reach to safely place your decor on the shelf. Giving up, you whine and stop your feet childishly at your own shortness.That sweet boyfriend of yours just so happened to have had walked into the room just in time to see your struggle and defeat. Immediately he scurries to you with a bright smile and throws his arms around you as he coos about how cute you are as he squeezes you a bit too tight. “I have the cutest girlfriend in the world,” he cooed before lifting you off your feet and swinging you from side to side like a life-size rag doll. Unfortunately, he’s so caught up in his little fanboy moment that the decorating has been momentarily forgotten.
Kihyun: Light-hearted teasing, but will help as soon as you ask - but only when you ask
Tumblr media
Sticking your tongue out, you practically danced on your tiptoes trying to keep your balance as you reached for the toaster on the upper store shelf. Next to you, Kihyun watched with furrowed brows and a tilted head. “What’s wrong with the dozens of toasters right in front of you?” he questioned in confusion.With a little sigh, you dropped to your flat feet and gave him a little pout. “I want it in that color,” you whined, instantly earning yourself a hearty laugh from him. “Seriously?” He continued to laugh. “So much effort for a color,” he teased, only to receive a little glare.“Red goes with the other appliances I have. Blue or that weird grey would just stick out weirdly.” You gave a little sigh knowing very well you weren’t going to get what you wanted until you asked. “Can’t you please grab it for me?”Shaking his head at your cute logic, he reached up and easily plucked the boxed appliance off the shelf and handed it to you with a little tease. “Should have eaten your Wheaties.”
Hyungwon: Pretends to be annoyed every time he needs to help you, but lowkey loves being your knight in shining armor
Tumblr media
Hyungwon was in the other room when he heard a distinct crash of several things falling along with a little yelp from his little lover. Immediately, he dropped what he was doing to make sure a certain someone hadn’t managed to hurt themselves. As soon as his eyes landed on the sight of you on the floor surrounded by an avalanche of items from the closet, he placed his hands on his hips and gave a little sigh. “What have you done?” he scolded lightly, a little hint of amusement in his tone as he approached you.Pouting at your misfortune, you silently pointed up to the top shelf where the dang blanket remained after everything else had come crashing down around you.Shaking, his head, he gave a little chuckle under his breath and offered a hand to help you up. Once you were on your feet, he grabbed the blanket and handed it to you. “Go get the movie ready. I’ll clean this up and be right there. The popcorn should be done,” he told you, giving a little raised brow warning look before you bothered to argue. “What would I do without you?” you grinned, unfolding the blanket and wrapping it around yourself before scurrying off to the kitchen to grab the popcorn for your movie night.
Jooheon: Teases galore! You almost regret every time you have to ask for help because he definitely makes a point to tell you you’d be hopeless without him
Tumblr media
Pintrest very well may be the death of you. All the cute aesthetic things that you can’t help but to try to recreate yourself currently had you standing on your bed as you reached up trying to hang the dang fairy lights to create the beautiful glowy ambiance you’ve seen so many times. Of course you had gotten so excited over the purchase of the perfect little lantern looking lights, that you had forgotten a particular problem: even with the height of your bed beneath you, you were still a good foot short of reaching the perfect spot to hang the dang things. Why were you cursed with such a tiny little frame? Glancing to your bedroom door, you pouted at the thought of what was to come as soon as you asked your boyfriend for help. But what other choice did you have? You needed the ambiance! “Heonnie!” You whined out, still pouting as he peeked his head around the doorframe. It only deepened all the more as you watched that stupid grin spread across his face as he observed the situation.“Awww… my itty bitty girlfriend needs the help of her big, strong man?” he instantly started with the teases. If you weren’t busy holding up the lights against the wall, you would have facepalmed. Giving a little chuckle at your scowl, he closed the distance between you. Stepping onto your bed, he took over hanging the lights for you, asking questions to make sure they were hung just right. Once the task was finally complete, the both of you stood by the door and admired the soft glow the lights cast over your room. “Looks good. What would you have ever done without me?” he grinned cheekily, pulling you into a sideways hug.
I.M.: Basically refuses to help because watching you struggle is one of his greatest points of amusement. How does this jerk remain loveable?
Tumblr media
A small whimper left your lips as you stretched as high as you could, wiggling your fingers in hopes you could just happen to touch one of the cutest plushies you’ve ever seen and send it falling down to your own, or at least into your reach.I.M. stood behind you, pursing his lips as he watched your struggle. He was torn between being amused with your failed efforts and being salty with the idea of another stupid plushie getting to be cuddled in your arms instead of him. “You literally have dozens of plushies. You hardly need another one,” he sighed, remaining firm in not lending a hand.Turning to him, you gave him your biggest puppy-dog pout. “But that one is sooooo cute and looks sooooo cuddly,” you whined in response, hoping he would find a weakness for your little attempt at aegyo. Unfortunately, you only received a head tilt and raised brows as he silently questioned if you really thought you needed it. “You literally have a boyfriend right here that’s more than happy to cuddle,” he reminded you. Giggling slightly, you nodded and quickly closed the distance between you and him, wrapping your arms around him. “Have I been neglecting you? I’m sorry,” you cooed. “I’m just thinking about the times you’re away and I’m left with no one to cuddle but the plushies,” you added, smirking to yourself, knowing he would be weak to that. Grinning proudly to yourself, you wanted from the store hand-in-hand with your man while you carried a bag with your new present in the form of a cute, cuddly plushie, proving that two can play his game… and you’ll always win.
— pairing: Changkyun (I.M) x Reader
 — genre: mafia au but not really
— words: 1k
— rating: SFW
— warnings: none~
— notes: Hello friends. I am very sorry about my lack of posts. I’ve just been really lacking the motivation and will to write during these times. I actually only wrote this because a friend prompted me too, and it’s not the best but I wanted to just post something. Hope everyone is doing well these days.
The mafia life wasn’t all black leather vests and bullets. Sometimes it was nights as simple as this. You stood happily in the small kitchen of your even smaller studio apartment, the skyline of the city twinkling through the windows. Soft music poured from your phone that laid face down on the counter as you hummed along, stirring the sauce on the stove. It wasn’t cramped, but a comfortable clutter. Photos covered every square inch of the walls in your home along with art. Some of your favorites included a drunken selfie of you and your dearest friends, Hyungwon and Kihyun. Or the handwritten love note from your boyfriend, Changkyun.
‘I’ll love you forever and then some.’
Alongside it was another note from Changkyuns best friend Jooheon,
‘He loves me more than you xoxoxo bitch.’
The memories made you laugh. The lifestyle your friends lived was hard and rough, so they learned to appreciate the little moments, and taught you how as well. Of course, when you first met them, you had no idea what kind of lives they lived. You, Kihyun, Hyungwon, and Shownu all were in the same political science class, and became quick friends through group projects. From there, they introduced you to Jooheon and Changkyun. Both of them seemed hard to approach, but gradually, they warmed up to you. Changkyun became your partner in ‘crime’ so to speak, as both of you seemed to be connected by the hip. It was no surprise to the rest of the boys when you both started to date, but twitch the happiness, came harsh reality.
You found out about the mafia when your doorbell rang in the middle of the night. Panicked, you shot out of bed, alarmed as to who would disturb you so late. Glancing through the doorhole, your heart seemed to stop as you recognized the torn and battered face of your boyfriend, leaning dangerously into Jooheons arms. Ushering them inside, you managed to get Changkyuns laid out on your bed.
“Hunny what happened?” You sobbed, holding onto Changkyuns hand and Jooheon rubbed your back reassuringly.
“He wanted to keep it a secret as long as he could but…”
You sniffled, looking up at Jooheon for an answer.
“Changkyuns family runs a sort of...business. One all of us are involved in.”
“What like a family business? Are you guys dealing drugs or something?”
Jooheon shook his head with a laugh, “No no...well maybe sometimes. It’s the mafia Y/n.”
Your eyes widened as you glanced at him back to Changkyun, who’s breathing seemed a bit better now.
“I just...didn’t know where else to take him. If you want us to leave I understand-”
“Of course not. He’s my boyfriend. And you are my best friend. I’ll go get the first aid kit.”
Jooheon watched you quickly leave the room, a soft smile on his face.
“You found a good one, Kyun.”
You returned to the room to find Jooheon passed out on the chair next to the bed, and a confused looking Changkyun sitting up.
“Y/N..? How did I-” He glanced down at himself, bloody and battered as he stuttered, “I just got into a fight at the bar this is-”
“Kyun? It’s okay. Hunny told me...about everything.”
Changkyuns eyes widened before casting his gaze down.
“I’m no good for you Y/n…”
You huffed as you sat on the bed, carelessly pressing a cotton swab to a cut on his cheek, causing him to wince.
“You're perfect for me Kyun. Don’t ever doubt that. I will always, always, be here for you.”
Changkyun smiled softly as he leaned up a bit farther, his arms tightening around you to pull you in closer. You smiled and stroked his back softly, pretending to not hear his small sniffles and gasps as tears fell onto your shirt. Lifting his face to yours, you placed soft kisses on his face, gently avoiding his cuts and bruises.
“Let's get you cleaned up, hm?”
That night was a few years ago. Since then, you became an active part in the mafia lifestyle with the boys, your home becoming a center base for them after particularly harsh days. Finally deciding the sauce was ready, you ladeled spoonfuls of it onto the plates of pasta, smiling as you heard the familiar rhythmic tapping of someone at the door.
“It’s open!” You called, placing plates for grabs on the counter.
A grumbling Hyungwon was the first to enter, luckily, not battered up. He gave a sleepy smile to you before taking a plate and sinking into the living room couch. Next was Kihyun and Shownu, both thankful for the food. Minhyuk, a new member of the team,  was as lively as ever, placing a kiss of thanks onto your cheek despite the harsh cough of your boyfriend who was next to enter.
“I’m home.” Changkyun smiled, wrapping his arms around your waist as he pulled you in closer, placing a soft kiss to your lips. You smiled, leaning into his touch. Honestly, Changkyun definitely thought you were going to leave him the night you found out about him. Yet here you were, dressed in an adorable apron making him and his friends dinner. He loved you very much, though you always told him that you knew that.
The perfect moment was interrupted by a groan of disdain, Jooheon entering your home last.
“Really? In front of my pasta?” He groaned, taking his plate and sitting with the others. You couldn't help but laugh.
 In your small apartment, the warmth of your closest friends and the love of your life was more important than anything else in this world.
For the writing game, 1, 2, 3, 22, 23 💛
1. Is there a favorite character or title you enjoy writing for the most?
I loved writing for Nichkhun and Jun.K from 2pm so much, Monsta X’s Shownu has been a blast too. I love writing for pretty much everyone that I’ve written fro thus far, and I do hope that the ones have yet to get anything get something soon.
(I needs to add a cut because dis be looooooong)
2. Is there a least favorite character or title you dislike writing for?
I don’t exactly have a least favorite but I am getting over whelmed by the amount of Eunhyuk and Super Junior requests I’ve gotten. I love them and all - they’re so much fun to write - but I really want other’s to be requested as well. These past few weeks have been the most diverse I’ve felt writing in a while.
Don’t be a afraid to send in requests for them once they open back up. I’m still happy to write for them.
3. Name a fanfic/story you are particularly proud of writing.
The first fanfic I wrote for Tumblr, Clouds of Smoke. I’m so proud of it being my first series and to think it’ll be coming to an end soon make me sad but also incredibly proud of myself.
22. Care to share any future WIP ideas you have lined up?
I actually don’t have anything lined up as of yet. I’m definitely gonna start planning one or at least try to get a few ideas down. I have so many ideas get none have gotten more than a description and those were originally intended for wattpad. I’ll definitely be looking through those...
I’ll probably post a survey with a few to see what you guys would want to see once Clouds of Smoke is done.
23. Most memorable review/comment on a fic?
Imma be honest, I don’t get a lot of comments on stuff, but when I do they are so heartwarming and make my day so much brighter. Here are a few that I found just looking through:
@blacknoc said: THAT WAS SO SWEET 🦋✨ thank u for your time and effort i really appreciate itt
@muselin said : I am early and I love this. Can definitely imagine Eunhyuk being a little lazy in the morning 😆 after exhausting himself and his partner the night before (A/N: Honestly smae man)
@noellestrash said: don’t ever stop love! happy holidays!!
@writing-stuff-13 said: I LOVED THIS ONE!!! WHOEVER REQUESTED IT LET’S BE FRIENDS OMG and thanks for adding the ex members too!!
@itssoowonderful said: 😭😭😭 i loved it!!! Congrats dear author
@layzee-kpop: said: The difference between Baekhyun and Jongin always amazes me, I’m real life and in reactions/imagines. Baekhyun always is the type of person who would just do it and not really care where as Jongin in the complete opposite. (A/N: The contrast between them leaves me speechless. We got innocent little Nini and then the not so innocent Bacon)
@geminirules said: Oh my god this is the best wedding imagine I have ever read🥺💖 The letters I can’t it was so heartwarming and I now want to marry Lee Dongwook🙂💖 Thank you so much for this amazing oneshot and keep on going! x 🥰❤
@shaalk said: And then soon, Minseok will be more in love with the dog than her 😂 (A/N: This one had me dying realizing it was true)
These are only just name a few. The whole duck naming (they have all been named YAY!) and even the more recent ones have all made me smile and are so memorable. I love hearing from you guys so don’t be afraid to comment.
Last House on the Left - {34}
{Thirty Three}{Master List}
Tumblr media
Over the next few weeks, you and Shownu had hung out quite a bit. He'd taken you to the library he works at and even brought you lunch a couple days at work.
You talked on the phone sporadically and text him about your day.
It wasn't awkward anymore, but I didn't feel like dating yet either.  You didn't quite understand, so you took your concern to Mei.
"It feels like friendship." You told her when the two of you were at dinner one night.
"Is that bad?"
"No. He's fun to be around. But it feels weird almost. Like… There are things we should be doing but aren't."
"Like… sexual?" Mei asked.
"What? No! Like... other couple stuff. There's no hand holding or kissing, there's just…us. He did put his arm around the back of the couch the other night when we were watching a movie, but I don’t think it was intentional."
"Do you want him to make a move?"
"I don't know. He's really nice, but I've not made a move either. I'm just worried about how he's feeling, but I'm too scared to ask."
"I get that. Beginnings can be hard. Would you consider him your boyfriend?"
"No. I consider him potentially a boyfriend, but not one yet. I mean, it could look to others like we are dating, but it's more like just hanging out. I'm not upset about it at all, just horribly confused. I don't think the feelings are there." You admitted.
"I think you should just ask him. Pretending the tension doesn't exist isn't okay."
"Ugh, I know. Can you and Allen, like, not go back to China and just stay here. I can't do this without you."
Mei laughed at your pain for a moment before answering.
"We're going to be gone for two weeks. We have to pack up and get everything to the shippers. Then I'll be here forever."
"But two weeks is forever Mei!"
"Sweetie, can I be honest for a second?"
"Well, last time you were honest you told me I had posts for legs. So...sure why not "
Mei laughed loudly before realizing her surroundings and lowered her voice.
"I think if you feel like you need me, your best friends mom, to walk you through a relationship… Maybe you're just not ready yet. And that's okay. I feel like you're trying to make something work that might not be meant to. I love you and I'm more than willing to listen to anything and everything that happens in your life, but it kills me to see this inner struggle you seem to be dealing with. I can talk with you about all of it, but inevitably the decision is between you and Shownu."
You sat quietly for a moment, digesting Mei's words.
"I hope I haven't offended you dear."
"Oh God, no. Not at all. I'm just processing it all. I just feel like if I broach it with him, it'll be horribly awkward. I'm scared to be honest. My last boyfriend, as I mentioned, was straight up not a good dude-"
"I think we settled with bastard, but go on."
"Right" you laughed. "And I feel like the next person who dates me is going to realize how lacking I am as a person. I doubt things and I get self conscious. Jisung has put a lot into my head about who I am as a person, and I fear that's going to negatively affect me in a relationship.  I feel like no one is going to want to be there for my highs and lows, because of how extreme they are. I push things away and pretend they don't exist until I have to deal with them or I'll break down completely. The worse I'm feeling, the more annoyingly fine I become. There's no man on the planet who wants to deal with that. I don't even want to deal with that. Shownu is such a nice guy, he doesn't deserve to have a mess for a girlfriend."
You had been staring at your plate through your whole monologue, afraid of what you'd see on Mei's face.
"Y/n, look at me." Mei said kindly.
You took a deep breath before putting your head up.
"First of all, you're an amazing person. Everyone has struggles and deals with them in different ways. All those things you describe make you who you are, and I love you for it. Also, if a man isn't willing to help you through your troubles, he's not worth it. You should know your worth and not let a man, or anyone, make you feel differently. Lastly, that's a lot of decisions you're making for Shownu, for any future partner. How do you know he wouldn't be there for you? How do you know he won't fight for you when you're fighting against yourself? I know you're scared, but you shouldn't make that decision for him. Talk to him, get to know each other and let him decide if he's going to be with you. But just remember, even if Shownu did learn all these things and decided he didn't want to be with you, that's okay. You'll find someone who knows you, knows your struggles and wants to be there for you. Someone who wants to anchor you and hold you when you're falling apart and laugh with you when you're happy. Just make sure to give yourself a chance."
-----
Two days later found you saying your goodbyes to Mei and Allen.
"It'll only be two weeks. Remember what we talked about? There's no time like now." Mei said as she hugged you goodbye.
"Thank you." You said as you pulled away.
"Alright. Don't burn the house down while we're gone."
"We've managed just fine this long, ma." Minghao laughed.
"Alright. We'll see you guys in a couple weeks. Call me if you need anything, anything at all." Mei said, directed more towards you.
"I will. Thank you. Love you Mei."
Minghao turned towards you quickly, surprised to hear the words tumble from your mouth.
"Love you too sweetie. Just remember, you're worth the moon and the stars."
"Um...hello? Your son here? I love you too?"
"Yeah, yeah. Love you Ming Ming." Mei said, laughing at Minghao's irritated face.
---
You were sitting at the kitchen table an hour after Mei left, putting together color packets, when Minghao wandered into the kitchen.
"Got plans tonight?" Minghao asked you.
"Just color packets for the littles for Monday." You told him, looking up at him.
"Want to hang out tonight? I feel like I haven't seen you in forever."
"Definitely. I could use a break from...everything." you told him honestly.
"Does this have anything to do with my mom telling you that you're worth the moon and the stars?" He asked, taking a seat in the hair across from you.
"Yeah. She's been helping me with some stuff. My mind is kind of all over the place and she's helping me keep centered."
"Can I help you with anything?" Minghao asked.
"Honestly, no. It's not that I don't trust you or want to share my burdens with you, it's just...this is different. I appreciate it though, I really do."
"I know you do Y/n. I can admit defeat when I see it."
"Defeat? What are you talking about?" You asked, scared that you'd made him mad.
"I've been replaced. I no longer hold worlds greatest best friend status. It's a sad day."
"What? Minghao no, I could never replace you. You're literally the only thing keeping me sane most days. Please don't feel like I've replaced you for anyone else."
"Whoa, hey calm down. I was joking. I was talking about my mom and how close you guys seem to be."
"Jesus Christ Minghao! Don't scare me like that. I thought you were really mad at me!" You whined, reaching across the table to slap his hand.
"I mean, I kind of am serious. I knew you and ma were close because of the dinner dates and late night conversations, but I was really surprised today when you told her you loved her."
"I'm sorry, is that awkward for you?"
"Not at all. I knew you guys would be close when you met. I've spent a lot of time over these last seven months telling mom about you and our life here. She declared you the daughter she always wanted. I'm really happy you guys have connected so strongly. I was never worried she wouldn't like you, but I sometimes worried how you'd perceive her."
"Why? She's literally the most amazing person and mother ever." You told him.
"I know, but you and I are different. She spent so many years mothering me by being blunt and never backing down from a hard conversation. She tells her opinion, whether you want to know or not. Sometimes…sometimes it's what you need, but you don't want to hear. I didn't want her to push you away."
"Honestly, if I'd have met her six months ago, she may have. But the honest conversations I've had with you and Jooheon, hell even Wonwoo, have shown me that I don't need to shy away from the hard things. We had a very candid conversation at dinner the other night about myself and it reminded me a lot of our conversation the morning after Halloween. And what jooheon said about sharing struggles. I've spent the last two days thinking about a lot of things, and I realized that I don't need to hide it anymore. Those struggles and how I deal with them are what make me innately myself. And there's always room for improvement."
Minghao didn't know what to say, so he just smiled at you, happy with the turn of the conversation.
"So." He said after a long moment. "Chicken and beer? Veg out and watch some Gilmore Girls?"
"Yes to chicken and beer, no to Gilmore Girls "
"What? No Gilmore Girls?  Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, dipshit. Mingyu will kill me if I start season four without him."
"Ugh, fine. How about chicken, beer and John Wick?"
"Oh hell yeah! You order the food and I'll clean up."
"Just leave it, we can finish it later."
Review #01 - The Arrangement
Note: So here's my very 1st post and also my very 1st review. EVERYTHING 1ST because I really love and enjoyed this story so freaking much! So kudos to our dear writer.🥰
Disclaimer⚠️ This is a long review!
I hope I've done the writer and the story some justice. If not, you know what! You can just skip and head straight to the story linked below 👇🏻!!
-----------------------------------
Prep talk before the story:
🌸 Be prepared for one hell of a rollercoaster ride. The build up and tension in this story is really worth all your time. It have 25 chapters and each chapter has it's own surprise for you. Writer make sure you feel the emotions as the character and brings you through the ups and down events happening in the story. You can expect those goosebumps, heart throbbing, hot and steamy, fluff, angst and suspends moments coming your way! 🌸
----------------------------------------------------
Now let's talk about the plot; (my pov)
First two chapters got me to know more about the characters. I think writer had it pen down in a way that it is easy for reader to relate. Nothing too fanciful or too out of the imagination which in a way really got me focused better.
So, Y/n got into some trouble and decided to venture into the opportunity that was presented to her before. Never had she expect what was coming her way.
Next few chapters, is where the build up comes in. It slowly unfold and you have more idea on what is going on. How the arrangement works and how Wonho do to help y/n with her trouble.
And of course, the start of all feelings!
After sorting out with wonho, y/n got to know Shownu and how their feelings slowly developed along the way. (sometimes I felt so frustrated for them!) I felt that y/n is always keeping her emotion in check and knowing what she needs(clear the debt), shouldn't comprise with her principles. In which Shownu is exceptionally patient, giving her alot of space and tender loving care! (IM SCREAMING! I WANT A GUY LIKE THAT TOO T.T)
I really enjoy how writer slowly let their raw feelings unfold and how they got to understand and appreciate each other. Their intimate moment is also TO DIE FOR! You have no idea how many times my heart throb while reading!
Towards the end, writer mention she decided to change what she originally had in mind(I'm curious bout the original ending too) I totally wasnt expecting that turn of event, but it was definitely a good twist! 1st I got angry then sad and then... (you need to read to know!) Fret not, we still get what we want for the ending! 😉
(Side note: 🎶 I would love to recommend you to listen to "beautiful night- Monsta x" at the last chapter! For me, it just fit in so well☺)
ANYWAY!!
In conclusion, ITS A DRAMA WRITTEN IN WORDS, THAT'S TOTALLY WORTH YOUR TIME READING!! Not forgetting, there's related series storys ready to be shared by the writer, that's coming your way! Life is never gonna be boring thanks to @ monstaxdesires !
⚠️spoiler⚠️
*Just something I have in mind:
In the story(ch 10), Kihyun mention something that he will tell shownu next time(?) AND SHOWNU WASN'T READY FOR IT?! I'm really curious about this. Hmmm... can we expect some kihyun story? 🤔
And so......
Since you've reach this part of the review, thank you so much for bearing with me and reading this! Feel free to let me know if anything I'm lacking in this review too! 🥰
----------------------------------------------------
Writer is very responsive and very dedicated to all her work and readers. She spoils her readers so much with her frequent updates of stories! ♥️ For me, her stories are very comfortable to read as a reader, as she never degrades y/n or having weird violent in her stories. Which is a plus plus for me. Make sure to show her some love! 😉🥰
