ok so this scene legit makes me tear up just thinking about it. there's something about how much Nick cares, and how Charlie is just so scared that he'll somehow be a burden because of it.

"promise you'll tell me if it gets that bad again" "i just don't want to annoy you or burden you. i don't want you to think i'm some fragile, broken mess, and that you need to fix me"

and then Nick saying he wants to be there for him like Charlie was there for him during his scary moments, that makes my heart break. and then the forehead kiss and the nose touch and the gentle yet meaningful actual kiss just shows how much he fucking cares about Charlie, and how he wants Charlie to care about himself too.

Kit and Joe did a really great job with this scene. i'm actually crying typing this.

and then him complimenting him and ALMOST SAYING HE LOVES HIM????? sarah i love u but u ruined the moment.

i think one of my fav things abt the chucky show so far (as of and up to 2x1) is that it feels to me like chucky and tiff's relationship is a lot more balanced than it was in, say, bride. they're both equally violent, and equally affectionate.

as you may be able to tell from my username, i've always liked chucky as a character, but their dynamic did sometimes feel to me like tiff got the short straw. in bride and seed it always sorta felt to me like tiff was the good one and chucky was the bad one, as much as i loved them - but now, in the show, it feels more balanced. they're both awful people who have oddly sweet moments together, yknow?

chucky has a little monologue in 1x5 about how much he loves tiff, despite the turbulence of their relationship. their whole body disposal expert argument felt like one of - if not THE - first time that chucky was the reasonable one in their arguments. the reveal that tiff was responsible for chucky's first death back in 1988 completely recontextualises him killing her in bride, even if he didn't know it at the time. even just tiny little moments, like chucky casually pointing out that the blood matches tiff's lipstick and nails, or tiff saying she's thrilled that chucky's exploring his sexuality, or chucky admitting he finds it hot when tiff yells at him - it feels more believable that they genuinely love each other imo, as twisted and horrible as they are at showing it.

idk. they're still absolutely my Emotional Support Toxic Ship - nobody has ever accused them of having a healthy dynamic - but it feels a lot less one-sided now. i really appreciate it.

Will stopped talking about his father to look at Mike. Their hands were still held together tightly, Will's was shaking slightly, but Mike gripped it strongly.

"He would say things to me, and it really made me hate myself. He would call me disgusting and useless right to my face," Will swallowed thickly. "I started to really believe in these things."

Mike moved closer to Will and held his other hand, but he stayed silent.

Will continued. "I hated myself so much where sometimes..."

He looked up at Mike, who had tears in his eyes.

"Sometimes I would cut myself," Will whispered, choking back a sob.

Mike, who was crying, let go of Will's hands and hugged the other teen. "If it ever gets that bad again, please tell me."

Will nodded, clutching onto Mike. "I will."

They stayed like that for a moment before Mike pulled away to kiss Will's head. Will kept his hands clutching Mike's clothes, and Mike kept kissing his head.

"You are the strongest person I know and I want to be there for you," Mike said, hugging him again.

Will hugged back. "Thank you."
