For anyone who wonders why the US, especially evangelicals, staunchly support Israel. Trump moved the embassy to Jerusalem at the behest of his evangelical supporters. These people believe that Israel is important to the second coming of Christ. I learned about this when I was in my atheist debating phase over a decade ago, but it's still relevant. With all that's happening now, I thought people might want to know about this as it heavily influences uncritical US support for Israel and the Israeli government's war crimes. They don't really give a shit about the Jewish people, it's all self serving.
