The door of your apartment slams as you trudge in, the sloshing of your shoes, soaked with the rain from the downpour that just drenched you outside. You dart for the couch, grabbing the closest pillow and quickly shoving your face into it and letting out a scream that would have alerted the neighbors in some way if it wasn’t muffled.
All day something has gone wrong, if it wasn’t one thing it was surely the next. It’s as if the gods above were playing games with you just to see how much you could handle before you undoubtedly snapped.
Waking up late wouldn’t have been such a bother if it wasn’t for the meeting with the Hokage you had. You had a performance review about the latest mission you were just on and no shock to you, it brought up how bad of a screw-up you must’ve been because all that was said was everything you did wrong. You were reprimanded for that along with your tardiness to the meeting, on top of that you never ate breakfast because of the rush you were in. Deciding after the meeting ramen would be the perfect meal to drown in your sorrows and finally get something in your system, only to realize that being in such a rush you absentmindedly forgot your coin purse. Deciding to finally leave and go back home, Mother Nature wanted to make sure you got there quickly and started a downpour just for you. Being soaked from head to toe was something every girl just needed, and so, here you are.
The frustration building inside of you makes every inch of your body feel like it might explode, tears threaten to spill past your bottom lashes and onto your cheeks but you refuse to cry and give in to the absolute shit show of a day you’ve endured. Your throat constricts while you take a deep breath, as you exhale the subtle sound of your doorknob twisting is heard, the door opens slightly, and before you can think your fingers fumble with your kunai, quickly throwing it and seeing it lodge into the wall next to the door.
Sasuke walks in to stop as he sees you, glancing at the kunai and then back at you. His eyes scan your body, seeing you sopping wet with a puddle of water soaking your once dry carpet, you were frowning at him and your eyes were slightly red even as you blinked back the tears that threatened to fall. “Bad day?” He comes inside, locking the door once it's been shut.
“Yeah, you could say that.” Your voice was small yet still croaked as you spoke. He nods, not saying anything more as he makes his way towards you, hands gripping your wrist and tugging you back towards your room. Immediately you start to pull your wrist back albeit weakly. “Not that kinda bad day.”
“I figured as much.” He shrugs his jacket off and tosses it on your bed, if you had the energy you’d scoff at how he’s making it seem as if this was his room.
“No I mean-”
“Can you shut up for a second?” He interjects while waving a hand in your direction, ignoring the glare you shoot at him as he walks to your bathroom. He disappears for a moment until you hear the shower turn on. Once again making himself feel at home. You open your mouth to call to him when he reappears, hand beckoning you over.
Against your better judgment, you move towards him, feet seemingly having a mind of their own, and follow him into your bathroom. The steam that was already filling the small bathroom gave you a warm hug of warmth, not realizing how cold you were from the rain. A content sigh leaves your lips accepting the new damp warmth you felt.
“Wanna tell me what got you like this?” He asks while pulling his shirt off and dropping it at your feet. Confusion crosses your features as he continues to undress in front of you, the heat from the steam leaving and going straight to your face, you jerk your head away from him as you mumble a half ass answer about how it’s raining outside. You hear the rest of his clothes fall against the tile floor as he discards them all, quickly kicking them to the side so your wet ones don’t drip on his.
“How are you not wet? The weather outside is awful.” You ask, head still turned away to not look at him, still unsure as to why he decided to strip. It’s not like you haven’t seen him but the close proximity and eye contact are still something you weren’t used to.
“It’s called an umbrella, the clouds were dark, and it was obvious it was going to rain. You’d have to be blind to not see that.” You snap your head to glare at him which turned to sudden wide eyes as he was fully naked in front of you. Your eyes wander from his chest down to his toned stomach and venture further until- “Eyes up here.” He smirks when he sees the flush of your face.
“Why am I even in here?”
“We’re going to shower, you need to relax.”
“I- we- huh?” You stutter out, the gears in your head coming to a halt while you look at him as if a second head grew out of his neck. Sasuke rolls his eyes and slips his fingers under the bottom of your top and tugs it off and over your head, it drops to the floor with a loud splat sound from the rainwater soaked in it.
“I said you needed to relax, now shut up, stop asking questions, and take your pants off.”
“God you’re such a-”
“Yeah whatever, just hurry up before the hot water runs out.”
Once again, against your better judgment, you listen to him, your clothes are off and discarded with your shirt, a small pool of water creating around it. Soon you’re stepping into your shower first, the heat of the water relaxing your sore and aching body and warming you up in an instant. You audibly sigh and allow your eyes to close just feeling the water beat and fall down your chest like a steady stream.
Sasuke is soon after you, hands finding a place on your waist, the subtle squeeze making your body freeze up as if the water had turned frigid. “Relax, Jesus it’s just me.” Sasuke says, you can feel the huff of his breath on the back of your neck which does nothing to calm you down.
Relax? It’s just me? That’s exactly the reason why you couldn’t, the sole fact that if you two weren’t fucking then what was the point of being here? What was the point of this? This was too nice for him, too intimate.
His hands slide from your waist up to your shoulders and feel his thumbs press down and slowly rub, easily bringing you back from your thoughts. “You’re tense.”
“When am I not?” You joke, amusement evident as it was so obvious you’ve never been a relaxed person. The expectations are always so high for you even from such a young age, even now with so many responsibilities on your plate the urge to sleep and ignore it all is so heavy.
Sasuke doesn’t respond, thumbs pushing down deeper into your muscles massaging out all of the tenseness you have. You lean back against his chest, eyes shutting once again and letting a sigh escape your lips. His hands go down your back keeping the pressure to work out the rest of your body. “Fuck..” You whimper.
“There we go..” His fingers dig into your lower back finding the place where you melt into him, you lean your head back against his shoulder and sigh contentedly.
“Thank you for this.” You say quietly, barely heard over the stream of water coming from your shower head. It was a soft moment, both of you two never uttering anything other than foul comments to one another, always making sure the next word hurt more than the last, yet here you were; eyes closed and guard down against the chest of someone you couldn’t stand to look at when you were kids.
“Shut up.” His chest rises as he scoffs before dipping down to kiss your shoulder. “You looked a mess when I got here.”
Ignoring his comment, you bend forward to turn the heat up higher, you soon turn around to face him, his hair is damp and his cheeks are flushed from the steamy air. He didn’t have his signature grimace that always laid upon his face, being this close where the tension wasn’t filled with anger was…different.
His hands made their way back to your waist, squeezing the soft plush of your skin. The air; although thick with vapor, was brittle as a crisp autumn leaf, so fragile it could break if you breathed, and if it didn't snap you felt like you just might. Neither of you speaks, you fumble with your fingers, unsure if you should lay them on him as he has his on you.
Almost as if he could hear your thoughts, his hand slid to the back of your neck tugging you closer, a quiet “Come here.” leaving his lips before he was on yours.
Unknowing if it’s because of the intimacy of being in the shower together and the vulnerability it gave off, but the kiss emitted every little bit of exposure you felt. His hands held onto you tightly while yours lay upon his chest. Collectively, a sigh left you both; unspoken words left between you both and died on each other's tongue.
~~
You feel the cool sheets against your warm skin as you plop yourself on your bed, the fluffy pajama bottoms you now have on bringing an added level of cozy you oh so needed to your day. You finally felt relaxed; cold, damp clothes soon forgotten as well as the ravenette who stood behind you. Your mind was mulled over with the sudden leisure that you couldn’t stop the squeal that escaped you when Sasuke’s cold hand wrapped around your ankle and pulled you down the length of your bed. You turn to look at him when his lips come crashing into your own, soft lips pressing hard while you melt into his touch, kissing Sasuke has started to feel familiar, a comfort in kissing his lips and knowing how the other works.
One of his hands comes up to take place at your throat, slightly squeezing to elicit a small whimper from you. Just like you feeling familiarity in his lips he feels the same in knowing just how you’d react, feeling just as if he knows a part of you. His hand slips to the back of your neck pulling you closer, tongue slipping in and claiming your mouth for his own. His kisses become hungrier, more passionate. Fingers tilting your chin up so your throat is now exposed, he leaves wet open-mouthed kisses down your jaw and descends further down your neck. You become putty to his mouth as he finds your sweet spot, another whine leaves your lips only igniting him further.
His hands leave your neck and grip onto your waist pulling you to him and grinding your hips into his erection. Every whine and whimper that leaves your mouth sends every impulse in him into overdrive. “Still having a bad day?” He breathes out, lips ghosting over the sensitive mark he just created.
“It could be better.” You giggle, legs instinctively pulling him even closer to your clothed core. He smirks against the skin of your neck while hooking his fingers into the waistband of your pajama bottoms, you lift your hips allowing him to tug them off. He shifts himself down until he’s on his knees at the foot of your bed, he tugs you down to the edge of your bed until he’s at eye level with your already glistening core. Strong hands push your thighs until they’re pressed against your chest, a low growl reverberating in his chest. You’re this wet just from a few simple kisses, how pathetic.
His head dips down and licks through your slick, lips attaching to your clit and sucking causing your hips to buck in his mouth. He chuckles, the vibration pulsing your entire lower half as your hand shoots to his still-damp hair, your fingers thread and slightly tug while he circles his tongue. A quiet moan leaves your lips causing his eyes to shoot up and look at you, he sees your eyes closed; his tongue relieving you of all your stressors from the day. The small whimpers you let out only make his gaze darker, hungrier for you.
“I know you can be louder than that.” He says as he pulls back. Finally, you look down at him and see his black eyes boring into you, he sees your eyes glossy and lips slightly parted, he hasn’t even made you cum yet and you’re already like this, but that doesn’t stop the pout that forms on your face. Your hand tightens its grip on his hair and tugs his face closer to your heat.
“Keep going-”
“Be louder, I want to hear you.” His words are demanding, making you jut your lip out in a pout once more. “Be louder or I’ll leave.” You huff a breath and look away from him only to feel a quick slap to your thigh causing you to yelp and snap your head right back to him. No words being said between the both of you but you know it was a threat. His head dips back down sinking further as he keeps his eyes trained on yours while running his tongue through your slick core, his thumb putting just the right amount of pressure to evoke a slurry of curse words from your mouth. Your hips move and grind against his tongue, your hand tugging roughly at his hair causing him to groan into you. Thumb now leaves your clit and quickly replaces it with his mouth, his skillful tongue circling and flicking, having you clench down on nothing. Your whimpers turn to moans and now his name is the only thing you’re able to say.
You orgasm without warning, fingers tightening even more in his locks while your thighs trap him. A choked-out moan is heard loudly in his ears, another groan vibrates your body as he laps up all of your juices, his skillful tongue sending shivers up your spine as he doesn’t pull away while you ride your high.
Once the oversensitivity set in you squirm in his grip, legs planting down to try and push away from him but his arms quickly hook under your thighs and spread you wider for him, giving him even more access to your pussy. His lips suck harshly around your clit extracting a high pitch squeal from you. “Sasuke!” Your once woven fingers in his hair were now pushing him away, the oversensitivity having tears prick your waterline, it was beginning to feel too much, too much pleasure building up right after you just came.
Sasuke was eating you like he was starved, the lewd and wet sounds coming from where his mouth connected with your pussy were all that could be heard. The coil in your stomach begins to tighten again and your legs tremble, a silent indicator you were so close only minutes after your first orgasm.
As if he could read your mind and body so easily, Sasuke pushes two fingers in and pumps them at a quick pace, curling them as he does so. You’re shaking, his fingers hitting your g-spot again and again and again-
Your eyes roll back while you cum, your body tensing up and your head being thrown and pressed back into your mattress as you moan loudly. Once your body loosens up and legs go limp he finally pulls away.
The bed dips down as he climbs up your body, a cheeky smile plastered on his face when he sees the fucked out look on yours, a sense of pride filling his chest up to know he got you like this just from his tongue alone. Your eyes settled on his, trailing down to see his lips and chin coated in your slick.
Your chest rises with heavy breaths, eyes weary as you slowly blink up at him, the subtle tint of your face changing when catching his own eyes already looking down at yours.
His eyes scan your face, seeing how you divert your own away from him while trying to regain your breath. It’s funny, he did all the work and you’re the one out of breath. Sasuke fits himself more comfortably in between your legs, laying more of his weight on you as you both just relax in silence.
He can’t help but look at you in a different light, when he first came over months ago he didn’t know what got ahold of him. He was the last person you wanted to see and vice versa, but that didn’t stop him from barging in, he was always watching the village in one way or another, whether it was from word of mouth by someone or when he could sneak away, somehow whenever the latter happened you were always one of the first people he happened to catch sight of.
It was annoying.
He felt the irritation run up his neck when he saw you, the way you’d walk almost as if your nose was in the air, thinking you were better than him, better than everyone around you. Just seeing you from a distance he couldn’t stand, it’s like the same little girl he remembered back then was still in his head, glaring at him and calling him all the insults under the sun whenever he jabbed at you, but when he finally saw you he couldn’t help but be a little happy to see that same signature scowl that appeared on your face.
That first night he didn’t even come to fuck you, that was the last thing that he would have thought would happen, but when push literally came to shove against that damn wall his body took over, all the pent-up frustrations between you two over the years hitting the breaking point.
He can’t lie and say nothing has changed since he started coming over more frequently. He wasn’t supposed to be sneaking back into the village, he wasn’t meant to be seeing you so much, having moments like this. It’s easier to say he doesn’t give a damn about you, that it’s just the sex that keeps bringing him back, but when he does something so out of character as he did today he can’t help but feel like he should’ve just fucked you and left; pushed your bad day to the side, ignore your borderline broken figure and used you to his liking. He’s no nurturer, far from it yet he still worked your sore muscles out and had you cum till you were dizzy.
“This won’t happen again.” He thinks to himself. He can’t come back, he won’t. This will be the last time you see him and he sees you. The last time he feels your soft skin against him, fingers dancing across his back and playing with the hair while you both calm down. The last time you see his eyes staring back at you, different emotions each time and never knowing which one it is.
He’s convinced himself of it, never again.
But when you bat your pretty little eyes like you’re doing right now he can’t help but mentally curse himself as he finds himself leaning down to press his lips against yours.
He knows he’s going to come back.
He knows it and he can’t help but hate you for it.

you know sometimes when you just don’t feel like waking up in the morning and your day just goes shit from then on? yeah, that’s what you’re feeling right now.
lol
your alarm blared at 6.30 in the morning and you just could not be bothered opening your eyes, sleep felt too good for you to actively call it quits. your neck was sore and your muscles were content being in the position they were currently in yet you had to get up. with a huff, you turned off your alarm and closed your eyes once more, relishing in the feeling of your tired eyes resting but dread ate away at your nerves shortly after as you inevitably had to stir awake. you begrudgingly began to prep for the day all whilst being in a sour, “i want to stay in bed” mood.
as the day went on, your irritability levels decreased ever so slightly when you bought your favourite drink, ate your comfort food and hung out with some of your friends. yet despite that, you still wanted to go home so bad and just watch something in bed as you ate something nice. so imagine your delight when leaving campus, you find your boyfriend waiting outside of his car, eyes occupied on his phone as he distracted himself waiting for you.
“sasuke?” your boyfriend looked up and checked his phone for the time “you’re out early?” waiting for an answer, he didn’t expect you to throw yourself at him for a hug. luckily for both you and him, sasuke has fast reflexes and so he managed to catch you and his phone but the stressed expression on his face was not easily concealed.
“take me home already.” sasuke shook his head as walked to the passengers seat side of the car with you clung to his body. he waited for you to unattach yourself from him but was met with you snuggling closer to his neck, the soft scent of his sweet cologne and the smell of fresh laundry soothing all your discontent.
“babe?” you didn’t move and so with a sigh he opened the door and set you on the seat, handing you some banana milk to shut you up in the process before you started whining. on the way home, he let you connect your music to his bluetooth and allowed you to play his favourite songs. sasuke tried to look annoyed by your loud singing but he couldn’t help but smile, his right hand placed comfortably on your thigh.
it doesn’t take for sasuke to pull in front of your house and the two of you get. sasuke was fully expecting you to cling to him by the time you got to your door but you merely took out your keys, unlocked your door and headed straight to your room. confusion and worry stemmed in him but he let you be for the moment as he made some popcorn with your microwave and ordered some food. you joined him once you heard the ding donning your very comfortable pyjamas.
“up for a movie?” he asks, popping a popcorn in his mouth shortly after and you nod.
“can i pick?” you ask as you take a seat, fixing a pillow behind you and pull a blanket on your lap.
“as long as it’s not mulan, then yes.” you give him a look and he scoffs “you put it on like 7 times this month.”
“that’s because they don’t make movies like that anymore.” you say, rolling your eyes at him as he joins your side.
“yeah, yeah.” you sifted through the movies in front of you and silently opened your mouth and pointed it towards sasuke, eyes remaining focused on the big screen. sasuke looked at you for a moment before putting his mouth on yours, tongue playfully poking the inside of your mouth and you quickly pinch his sides “popcorn you idiot, not you!” he smiles an annoying smirk and tosses a popped corn in your mouth.
after what seemed like hours you finally picked a movie, coincidentally coinciding with the arrival of your food that sasuke ordered not too long ago. he set the food on the table and grabbed some cups whilst you checked what he ordered, immediately pulling a slice of pizza and stuffing it in your mouth.
“couldn’t wait for me?” you brushed him off with a shush “the movie’s starting!”
the viewing was silent, the only sound heard from the two of you were chewings and light mutters whenever a character did something obviously stupid. somewhere towards the end, when you two were finally full, you placed your head on sasukes should and wrapped your arms around his waist. sasuke said nothing as he smoothed a hand over your head, arm taking your legs to rest across his thigh. when the movie finally ended, the two of you snuggled together could be seen in the reflection, blanket covering.

hiiii, I just love you writing😭 and i have a request (i know that it's a bit general): a really fluff e cute scenario between reader and Sasuke. Thanks in advance if you accept the request🥰🥺
WC ━ 2.0k
TYPE ━ GN!reader
✎ this was really fun to write, and i'm sorry if it's a little rushed at the end. this is my second sasuke piece for this blog, so it was a good change of pace from writing for his older brother, itachi. anyway, i hope this is the fluffiest thing you read today!
───── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ─────
TINY bells rang from above the glass door to the small, quaint shop in the busiest part of this city’s shopping district. Two men of similar heights walked into the shop with neutral expressions written on their faces. As they walked closer to the glass counters, the view of all of the expensive, shining jewelry came into contact with the younger man’s charcoal stained orbs. In fact, with such a wide selection of unique and flawlessly cute jewels, Uchiha Sasuke was beginning to feel overwhelmed as his eyes danced from one piece to the next.
A hand pressed firmly onto Sasuke’s shoulder, instantly bringing a wave of relief when his body sensed the familiar presence standing next to him. Looking over at his older brother, Uchiha Itachi, Sasuke’s eyes darted down at the hand on his shoulder, specifically at the polished, golden ring that was encircled around his brother’s left hand ring finger. The ring caught on the dim lighting of the store and shined brightly. Sasuke shook his brother’s hand off of his shoulder and stuffed his hands in his jeans pockets, looking back down at the assortment of engagement rings in the display counters.
Before Itachi could question Sasuke’s current mood, one of the workers of the store walked up to the two gentlemen with a small smile on his face. “Who is proposing today, if you don’t mind me asking?” the worker asked, looking from Sasuke to Itachi. Itachi tapped the tips of his fingertips against the glass counter, glancing at Sasuke for a second before pouring his attention onto the kind worker. “My little brother, over here, wants to propose to his longtime partner of I believe… seven years, and quite frankly, he is picky with his presents, as is, so this is the third shop we have been to in the last couple of days,” Itachi replied, feeling a smirk come into play. Sasuke attempted to elbow his older brother in his side, but the man swiftly stepped away to look at some of the sparkling engagement rings in the display cases.
“Seven years is a long time, my friend. How did you decide they were the one?” the worker asked as he began to take out some of the finest of rings in stock. Sasuke peered down at the small display sitting on top of the glass countertop, taking in the amount of sparkles that shimmered against each individual ring. Completely ignoring the worker’s question about his significant other, Sasuke picked up one of the rings he pulled out, bringing it up to his face for a closer inspection.
The ring had a clean, silver band which held a squarish, sparkling jewel right in the middle of it. Compared to many of the rings available here, it was the shiniest and had the biggest rock. Sasuke wasn’t too sure of which ring would fit best on your finger and with your style, but he definitely knew you’d rather keep it simple.
Setting the ring down, Sasuke picked up another one, copying the same actions he took with the previous choice. Contrasting with the big, shining, silver ring from before, this ring had a pretty, thin rose gold band with a smaller, oval stone in the middle. After looking through countless options for the past couple of days, Sasuke’s thoughts were circling around how much you would adore this ring. Many of the rings he looked at before didn’t scream you at all, and now that he was here looking at this ring right before him, he knew it was the one he wanted to use to propose to you.
Oblivious to Sasuke’s surroundings, Itachi walked up to his younger brother and glanced down at the ring settled between his index finger and thumb. Sasuke looked up at the awkwardly smiling worker after having just dazed away because of the impact the ring had on his mind. He was going to do it… after seven years of being together, as one, Sasuke was motivated to make it more official through marriage, and the thoughts were beginning to clog up whatever was left of his mind after finding the perfect ring. “I’ll take this one,” Sasuke spoke in his low and deep tone, holding the ring out for the worker.
Itachi widened his eyes a little at how quick of a decision Sasuke had made just then. They had quite literally just stepped foot into the store, and after looking at only two rings, Sasuke was ready to go with the second choice. However, Itachi trusted his brother’s decisions, so he watched as Sasuke paid for the ring and got handed the bag which contained the delicate, velvet ring box inside of it. The two Uchihas walked out of the shop with silence resonating between them as well as the strange, three feet distance between their figures whilst they walked around the shopping district.
“Have you thought about how you’re going to propose yet, Sasuke?” Itachi asked, glancing over at his brother. Sasuke pulled the box out of the shop’s bag, flipping open the lid to take another look at the ring. The light sparkle hitting the small stone shined brightly within the box, and just like that, Sasuke was beginning to grow anxious thinking about the moment he was going to get down on one knee and ask you to be his forever. “Something simple… Y/N doesn’t like big celebration type things,” he muttered, closing the ring’s box and setting it back down in the shop’s bag.
Itachi agreed with Sasuke on the approach. He, himself, went with a simpler approach for his own proposal, and in his experience, it has a lot less tension in the air. “Would you like some pointers? I can give some—”
“No… no. I don’t need your help anymore. I’ll be fine on my own,” Sasuke declined, making his way to the car. Itachi sighed and followed Sasuke.
.・゜゜・
The night sky was shining brilliantly as the clocks struck eight o’clock. With every passing minute in the car, Sasuke was anticipating the proposal. He couldn’t stop moving, and you, who were seated beside him in the passenger’s seat of the car, grew curious. To you, it felt like this was going to be another dinner date with Sasuke at some fancy restaurant that he had picked prior to getting in the car. Yet, you started to notice how there was sweat beginning to accumulate on his forehead and how his fingers tapped anxiously against the steering wheel.
Unconsciously, you reached over to Sasukes’s side of the car and rested your hand against his own. Thankfully the car was stopped at a red light because Sasuke froze much like a statue in a museum at the familiar, soft sensation of your hand upon his own. Immediately, he took his hand off of the steering wheel and intertwined your fingers with one another, now resting his elbow over the armrest in between your seats.
“What’s got you so anxious all of a sudden?” you questioned. Your thumb made small caresses against the softness of the outside of his hand in an effort to comfort him. “I–It’s nothing. Don’t worry about it,” he responded in his blunt manner and his deep tone.
When the signal turned green, Sasuke pressed down on the gas pedal to accelerate the car forward. You remained silent throughout the car ride, but as you glanced out the window, your eyes were keen on spotting less buildings than the normal streets you can recall from memory.
Soon, the car came to a halt, and again, your eyes roamed the view in front of you. Rather than a fancy, five-star restaurant, you were looking out a glorious, open field of colorful, blooming flowers. Somewhere near the car, there was a small picnic blanket set up with some string lights sat around it.
You were aware of how romantic your partner could be towards you, but this was a new experience for you. It started to warm your heart as you took in the area once more, thinking about how much effort and planning must have gone into this. You were so stuck in your surprise that you didn’t notice Sasuke had exited the car and opened the door for you.
With a hand extended in front of you, you tore your eyes away from the view for a moment to take Sasuke’s hand in your own. He shut the door after you exited the car and led you towards the grass where the picnic was set up. The two of you carefully sat down next to one another, and instantly, you hooked your arms with Sasuke’s right arm. Resting your head on Sasuke’s shoulder, your eyes remained on the beautiful setup in front of you.
“This is really amazing, Sasuke. How much time did it take to set up?” you curiously questioned, moving your head to aim your sight at the handsome man you were attached to. Sasuke felt your gaze on him, so he also turned his head to capture the glow in your eyes, “Not long… I had Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi help me.”
“Well, it looks wonderful, and I can’t wait to dive into the delicious food you must have prepared,” you stated, unhooking your arms from Sasuke’s arm. As your hands were about to reach for the picnic basket, Sasuke quickly placed a hand on your wrist, motioning you to stop.
“Before we eat, I have something to say,” Sasuke began. You nodded and sat back with your hands gently resting on top of your legs. Your eyes took note of the rising blush arriving on Sasuke’s face as well as the silence that followed his statement.
Sasuke took a deep breath and stuffed his hand into his blazer pocket, “Ever since we met in elementary school, I have always vowed to protect you at all costs. My feelings for you only grew deeper as we got to high school and graduated. It was hard to go four years without seeing you, but I’m glad that we are sitting here together and able to call each other our own. I don’t think I would have ever stopped waiting for you to come back, even if it meant waiting for an eternity, Y/N. My life isn’t complete without you in it. And… I have been thinking about asking you this for a while, so I decided that it’s now or never that I ask you. I don’t ever want to lose you, Y/N, because you make me a better person, all together.”
By now, tears stung your eyes at the beautiful words that Sasuke spoke about you. Your eyes shot down to Sasuke’s hand, and a hand came to cover your mouth as your eyes squeezed to a squint. The ring box came into view in Sasuke’s hand, and his other hand opened it up to reveal the pretty, thin rose gold band that he had picked with his brother. At that point, you couldn’t contain the happiness, and your eyes proceeded to douse your face in salty tears that began to run down to your chin and over your hands that cupped your mouth.
“I feel that I am ready to take the next step in our relationship, and I hope that you are, too. Y/N, will you do me the honor and agree to marry me?” he asked in his deep tone. The hand that held the small ring was visibly shaking, signaling how nervous he was for the response.
Much like the incident in the car, you reached out to place a hand on his empty hand, and his eyes kept themselves locked on you. The shaking had stopped almost instantaneously, and in that very moment, Sasuke knew what you were going to respond with.
“Of course.”
Sasuke let out a hiccup as the tears began to come to his eyes as well. Carefully, he slid the ring onto your finger and reached over to bring you into his arms. Your face was hidden in his shoulder as his chin dug into your head. Soft kisses were placed into your hair on your head, bringing you the most comfort you’ve ever felt.
“Thank you for everything, Y/N.”

Sweet Lies
When you find out your boyfriend of three years is cheating on you, you don’t confront him. Instead, you get back at him by fucking the man he hated the most; Sasuke Uchiha.
cw: Infidelity, cheating (kinda.....) unprotected sex, smut, explicit language, black coded fem reader, please excuse any errors.

Tumblr media
Normally when someone finds out their lover is cheating on them, they confront them. They hold up the pictures, videos, and text messages and scream at them. They demand answers and it usually ends with someone crying. You, on the other hand, did none of those things. Instead, you pretended as if you knew nothing. You pretended that you didn’t smell the sweet scent of another woman’s perfume. You ignored the stray pink hairs on his coat and the lipstick stain on the collar of his dress shirt.
You memorized the text messages and watched the videos again and again as he laid in bed next to you. You knew. You knew Naruto Uzamaki, the man you loved for three years had replaced you with a pink haired woman. The very woman he swore he did not love anymore. Sakura Haruno. Snorting, you sipped on your wine as you glanced down at yet another video he saved on his phone. The same video you had saved to your laptop. In the video, Naruto had her by the hips. Loud, lustful moans filling the air as he told her to moan and beg him to keep going. Blonde hair stuck to his cheeks as he buried himself in the petite woman under him.
“Mnn…Naruto! Ah! AH! Please…mmhp….don’t stop!” Sakura’s voice filled your headphones and you paused the video. Looking up at the clock on the wall, the time read 3:05 am. Naruto said he’d be home by ten.
A sad chuckle bubbled up from your throat and you closed down the video. You should be crying. You should be angry. You should be tossing all of his shit into a big pile on the front lawn and watch as it burns. Even if you did all that, it wouldn’t be enough. You wanted him to hurt. You wanted him to feel sick to his stomach. You had confinded in your closes friends Temari and Hinata about Naruto’s unfaithfulness and they both argeed that you should have said something to him. Confrontng him wouldn’t make you feel better. But you knew what would.
It was no secret that Naruto hated Sasuke Uchiha. There was just something about the dark haired male that lit a fire inside your boyfriend. The story was the two were “rivals” during their time in high school-if you could call Sasuke getting top marks while Naruto had to attend summer school a rivalry. Either way, the two boys did not like each other. Although it seemed Sasuke paid the loud blonde no mind. Sasuke harbored no ill will towards Naruto. Now you would simply give him another reason to hate him.
And that’s how you found yourself standing outside Sasuke’s lavish penthouse. You would thank Temari for giving you the chance to get in contact with the younger Uchiha sibling. The door opened and he looked you over silently. Deep inky eyes slowly roamed over you. From the top of your head where your braids sat in a high bun, to the deep purple choker around your neck, and the matching dress with a sweetheart neckline. The black heels on your feet complete with a cute anklet. Sasuke dressed in a white button up and black slacks, stepped aside so you could come in. Nervously, you sat across from him as you swirled the bourbon in your glass. You hastily explained to him why you wanted to see him and why you needed his help. Once done, you finished your drink as if it were a shot and set the glass down on the coffee table. Silence filled the air, and you fidget on the lush sofa.
“This was probably a dumb idea. You know what….just forget it. Forget I said it. This was stupid.” You begin to rise from your seat and Sasuke does the same.
He walks over to you and looks down at you.
“Are you sure about this?” Comes his reply.
Your eyes slightly go wide before you steel yourself and nod. “Yes. If I wasn’t sure. I wouldn’t have come here.” That seemed to be enough for him as he pulls you to him and gently places his lips over yours.
Two. Three. Maybe four rounds later you find yourself, face down in his bed. Sasuke’s hands gripping one hip as the other holds your phone in hand to record. Lewd noises come from your mouth as he hits that one spot that makes you see stars.
“Fuck!~ Sasuke!” You scream tears filling your eyes as he pounds you into the mattress. His grunts loud as he taunts Naruto.
“Damn..mn..Naruto. I knew you were dumb but I didn’t think you were this dumb. Shit! You let a woman like this go? Awww baby don’t go quiet now. Let him know how good I make you feel. Let him know since he wasn’t doing a good job! Use. Your. Words.” Each word punctured by a hard thrust inside you.
You grip the sheets eyes rolling into your head as you try to form words. How could you? “S….Sasuke…please. Please! It’s so good. So fucking good!” You shout thankful that his place was on the top floor which meant no one could hear you.
“Good girl. You hear that Naruto? You hear how cute she sounds? It’s a damn shame baby. This cute little body was being ignored because he’s too busy fucking someone else. Don’t worry. I’ll make you feel better.”
You cried out as he smacked your ass hard, gripping the flesh of your ass in his hands. His thrusts never slowing as he leaned down to kiss the space between your shoulder blades.
“You gonna cum again baby?” Sasuke asked you. You nod, whimpering. You hear him scoff and he pulls back only to slam in hard.
“Baby use your words. I want to hear you say it.” He coos and you hear the smile in his voice.
“Yes! Yes I’m gonna cum!” Your reward is another kiss and moves the phone in front of the two of you. Eyes blurry from tears and cum, you see your face and his in the screen. Sasuke smirks and drops a kiss on your shoulder. It’s so fucked up. But so hot. Sasuke’s firm frame against your plush one. Gods the man can fuck.
“Don’t worry Naruto. I’ll take good care of her since you’re preoccupied with someone else. “ Sasuke’s smirk forms into a full devilish grin and you wonder if you just made a deal with a devil. He looks to you as he feels your walls squeeze around him and he pulls you close with his hand. “That’s it. Cum for me baby. Cum all over this dick again. Make a mess.” He murmurs and that’s all you need to go over the edge. You scream his name as you cum from yet another earth shattering orgasm and you feel him fill you up. Sasuke ends the video with a laugh and he gently pulls out of you. Your body goes limp on the mattress as you hear the sound of running water. Sasuke returns with a rag and begins to clean you up. His movements are gentle and your finger hovers above the text message.
Again, he asks you, “Are you sure?” You look down at him and pull him up towards you. You press a kiss against his lips and his cheek.
“I’m sure. I can’t spare his feelings. He didn’t spare mine.” You send the video to Naruto and place the phone on the nightstand. Sasuke lays next to you and you curl up beside him. The loud chime of your ringtone goes off and so does Sasuke’s. He grabs his phone and you see Sakura’s name on the caller ID. You tense.
“Wait. Sasuke was Sakura your girlfriend?” You ask him and he nods silently. He too tosses his phone onto the nightstand before his lips claim yours again.
“She didn’t spare mine either.” He mutters and you wrap your arms around his neck. Your lips find his again as his touch drowns out the shrill ringing of your phones, and you let him bring you over the edge once more.

tw: bad writing, idk how i made this, fem!reader, a bit of angst, blood, mentions of enemies to lovers trope, a bit of flashbacks, hyperventilation, a bit suggestive, a bit of fluff at the end
a/n: this was another self-indulgent fic but pls excuse my poor writing. 😭
Tumblr media
the moon shimmers down on him, the spotlight as the wind flies along his cape. his insomnia chasing him as the cold breeze continued to glide along the cold night. the sound of sea, night crickets and the buzzing filled his ears as the memories accompany him.
the echos of laughter, the laugh of his innocent days, the warmth of the touch he never wants to forget- sasuke remembers it all.
the bright smile, the warm touch, the lingering gazes, the small fights and the pouting; he could remember it all, the days where everything wasn't tormenting him.
the guilt ran free in sasuke's blood, the realization of everything as he drowns these voices in his head "you don't deserve her."
yet he knew that wasn't true. "you've hurted her." the demon in his head whisper's as he holds a frame, gazing at it as if it was going to disappear anytime. the beauty and essence of your face was all he saw, making him smile small.
"you lost her." that voice whispered in his head again, this time hitting a bullet. sasuke's smile falters a bit, like a child who realizes life. "you gave her pain." continued the demon running around his head, feeding his turmoil and starting the killing of happiness.
sasuke slowly puts the frame down, a gloved hand clutching his head as he tried to drown this stupid voice in his head. breathing ragged, forehead dripping with cold sweat as he fights his inner demons, he felt like he was fighting for his dear life.
it felt like one of those wounds he could never close, bleeding and filled with pain as the voice whispers on. "stop this silliness. you can't be with someone you've scarred."
"stop! stop it!" he whispers to himself, no sigh of relief left his mouth as he tries to kill this demon of his. sasuke could still hear the way it taunted- tattering his heart as his memories went back to a series of reverie.
the demon stops, yet he feels like his gut is being re-arranged as the scene of him- in his younger days- driving a chidori near your neck, where your jugular could be. sasuke can still remember that small smile you had. blood splurged on his hand, eyes widened with the sharingan activated and the sensation all so familiar to him as you whispered three words he never heard of.
"i love you." you muttered out, pavement becoming red, the wild sounds of water reaching his ears as you took the blow for sakura. sasuke retracts his hand, catching you as you breathed heavily and pressing pressure to stop the wound from bleeding.
"hey! keep your eyes open [name]! don't play this game with me, you've won already! stop it!" sasuke frantically shouted as kakashi stood in front of sakura, shielding her as the scene unfolded all to greatly to them- when did your relationship progress like this?
for all they knew, you hated each other to the guts. they would expected him to laugh- one like of those madman's howling laughter.
not this scene, sasuke shedding a few tears as blood spilled from the side of your neck and him pressing on it to stop the wound.
sasuke's chest heaves up and down, mangekyou sharingan activated as he remembers everything. the sensation, the guilt, the warm trickle of blood, the tears he was shedding- the begging of you to not die out on him.
he remembers it all too well, like the first fall of snow that touched his skin with warmth radiating off from you as you hovered over his lips. the mutterings of promises, the howling of laughters sweet as honey, and the taste of your lips.
the intimacy of it all felt so amazing- the fleeting feeling of just knowing that both of you knew of this. the privacy only known to him, you and the world sent warmth through his cheeks like a warm, pristine, visit to the sand village with no hindrances.
the immaculate sensation of his head throbbing was insane, it was like the feeling of panicking over the wound he inflicted all over again was new. it felt like yesterday, as the moon shines it's beautiful light on his handsome face.
sasuke's been holding for so long, hissing as his head throbbed- the demon in his head cackling at his doom.
yet a warmth he's so familiar with, one that his sharingan can't top, pulled him out from the demon drowning him; defeating it with just a flick of warmth from the touch alone.
he can no longer hear the demon roaring with laughter, screams of agony was all he heard as his demon dies pitifully in his head. sasuke's sharingan died down, reverting back into his onyx gaze.
he could feel the warmth seeping from the hand that's cupping his face, breathing coming to slow down as the amity filled more of sasuke's senses to which successfully calmed him down.
you stared at him in worry, eyes gazing over his crouched state while rubbing a thumb over the apple of his cheeks. "what happened sasuke? why are you up so late?" you asked him in a soft tone hinted with agitation.
the moon coated your skin perfectly, the wind reading his thought of you looking so beautiful in your night gown yet the frown etched on your serene face broke him out of his thoughts. "i couldn't sleep so i went out for a walk." sasuke briefly answered, his hand coming out to touch yours on his face.
as if reading what was destroying his sleep, you sighed out lowly, hand reaching out the one that hovered yours and giving it a short kiss. "it's all in the past sasuke. im alive, you're alive. you don't have to go back, it wasn't your fault you chidoried my neck. i chose to sacrifice myself. don't blame yourself, okay?" you coaxed out, like a warm breeze and wind meeting his skin.
sasuke stood silent for awhile, trying to calm his raging thoughts. after awhile he finally spoke, "i know, but i can't help but feel guilty." he said in a murmur.
"oh dear, you don't have to. i understand you, but if you continue to think about it you won't be able to sleep." you whispered while caressing sasuke's face, placing a small peck on his forehead. retracting from the small peck, you kissed his wrist where his pulse is.
"you're alive. so am i. you don't have to worry alright? you could even kiss my wrist if you really need it." and so sasuke did, he kissed it to reassure himself. over and over, like how he did with your lips on the night he left. at that time it was to reassure you that he will be safe and that he'll come back. but right now...it was to reassure himself you were alive and not part of anything his demon whispers to him.
and you were alive.
alive like the day he kissed you so gently under that wisteria tree, banter on something stupid long forgotten already. he kissed you like there was no tomorrow, like the rays of the sun wouldn't reach you anymore.
alive like when he saved you from madara, from being stabbed as if his life depended on it.
you fought as kids, like one of cats and dogs, yet made an oath under a serene moonlight. the weight of the world and the burden of being apart- it felt weird.
alive like that one encounter you both made in the middle of the forest after a year he left konoha, shock-ridden with a gleam so bright. sasuke didn't know if it was adrenaline or out of impulse, he did. he kissed you- a kiss so passionate, so tender and filled with longing.
it felt natural, out of everything why did kissing you had to be it? it was like a string tied you to him. strings of fate and strings of gold. he felt pulled either way, the way his heart beat pulsed through his chest when he sees you, the giddy feeling in his vein.
the love that conquered his hatred.
who knew all along there was an invisible string tying you to him?

Hi! Can I request a Naruto Shippuden x Fem!reader where the reader met them all and was this cheerful little girl who loved flowers but as they got older she left or to them she just more likely disappeared but when she came back she was this whole different person now.
Now she's a pretty quiet and calm girl with a powerful aura around her, and if you find a black rose then that means that she was in that place, so what I mean is since she sued to like flowers but not a black rose is kinda her sign now, so the black rose represents her.
Lets say for example she fights with someone and disappears, then there's a black rose on the ground, which means that she was there in that place.
Also she's known as the ~Black Rose~ Since she always leaves a black rose as a sign
Note: She was childhood friends with, Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura also knew her along with Ino but then when she came back they told the others about her (or you can do it in your way, I'll leave the rest to you)
Feel free to ignore this for whatever reason if you want <3

a/n: I want to say that this is the first request I have ever done, and I usually don’t take requests; I just write whatever I want to. However, I thought that this could be a chance to experience something new and depending on how this goes, I might do more requests in the future. But I need some time to figure out if this is a good thing to start or if I should keep doing what I’ve been doing. So for anyone it may concern, I’m trying to figure this whole “request” thing because it’s new to me. Thank you for understanding! Hope you enjoy!

“Do you know which flower this one is, Sakura?” The little girl asked her pink and blonde haired friends.
The pink haired girl shook her head but the blonde nodded.
“That is a Gladiolus!”
“That’s right, Ino! They come in red, pink, white, yellow and orange. But the most important thing is that they have medical properties, so the medic ninja use them all the time for healing.”
Sakura expressed her astonishment. “Wow, that’s so cool! You and Y/N sure know a lot about flowers.”
“Well what do you expect? My family does run a flower shop.” Ino grinned at Sakura with a little giggle following.
Then Y/N chirped in, “And I’ve been studying at the library. If you want Sakura, I’d be happy to teach you about flowers.”
Sakura gasped. “Would you really? Oh that sounds like so much fun!”
Y/N laughed happily, clapping her hands together at the same time. “Yeah! We’re gonna have lots of fun!”
With no effort, her eyes sprang open; staring tiredly at the wooden ceiling above.
She laid there a few more seconds before she forced her head to turn over to the right. On just the other wall, there was a small window with the light of the sun shining through; it was time to get up.
______
At the same time, many people of the village were getting up and ready, especially the Leaf ninja, prepared to be sent on missions.
Ino, after slipping into her uniform, walked out into the street to head straight to the Hokage’s office.
Despite the early hour, the village was already bustling with life. Many people were out shopping, organizing food stalls, and the like.
By this point in her life, Ino was really all that surprised anymore by the efficiency of the Leaf village. Everyone was always quick to start the day, even the regular citizens. It made being a ninja all the more worth it in her opinion; she could protect the prosperity of her home while doing what she’d always wanted to do.
As Ino was making her way down the dirt road, a familiar voice called out to her.
“Hey, Ino!”
Her violet eyes darted off the right, several feet in front of her there stood Sakura.
Ino smiled and waved at her. “Hey Sakura!”
The pink haired ninja suddenly came running over to her side, and then they both continued to walk together down the road. “Good morning.”
“Good morning. What are you doing up so early? I thought you had the day off today.” Ino asked curiously.
“I did, but Lady Tsunade suddenly summoned me. She said she had an important mission for me.” Sakura answered politely.
Ino made a noise, like a hum at the news. “Does it have anything to do with the hidden Waterfall village?”
“Yeah actually, it does.”
Ino looked over at her friend as they walked side by side. “It could be a serious mission then. Do you think she’ll combine our teams?”
“I’m not sure, it’s entirely possible.” Sakura said, moving her gaze back to the dirt path in front of her. “Guess we won’t know until we get there.”
“Yeah, guess so.” Ino agreed, not saying anything else for a couple of minutes. They continued down the path in silence for several more minutes when something just popped into Ino’s head.
“You know, it’s been three years.”
Sakura, knowing exactly what she was talking about, nodded (more to herself). “Since Y/N disappeared.”
Ino hummed again. “I can’t believe how much time has passed. So much has happened.”
“I know. The hardest part is not knowing if she’s okay or not, or if she’s even alive. It reminds me too much of when…” Sakura began to say, but paused as she felt her throat tighten up. “When Sasuke left.” Ino stopped in her tracks, resting her hand on Sakura’s shoulder and forcing her to stop as well. Her green eyes whipped up to meet Ino’s, seeing a look of sympathy on her face.
If anyone understood that feeling of hopelessness (besides Naruto), it would be Ino.
“Don’t worry too much about it, okay? Y/N is nothing like Sasuke; she’ll come back one day. I have faith.” The blonde ninja ressaured.
This made Sakura smile, and her body language indicated that she felt a bit better. “Thank you, Ino.”
Ino patted her shoulder a few times. “No problem. Now let’s hurry to Lady Tsunade’s office, or kill us for being late.”
Sakura laughed in response before heading towards the Hokage building, near the back of the village.
It took only a little while, but eventually Ino and Sakura made their way to the Hokage mansion, and stepped inside Tsunade’s office. Once they did, they saw Shikamaru, Choji, Naruto, and Sai already inside.
“Oh I’m sorry, M’Lady. Are we late?” Sakura apologized, a tad bit nervous that they’d get chewed out.
“No, in fact, I was just about to explain the mission.” Tsunade assured, then leading into the details. “As you may already be aware you all are going to be heading to the Hidden Waterfall village.”
Naruto perked up. “The Hidden Waterfall village?”
Tsunade nodded. “That’s right. I know that three years ago you escorted Lord Shibuki to his homeland safely, and now I’m asking you to return.”
“Please tell me that this doesn’t have anything to do with escorting his son to become the next leader, who’s just as cowardly as he was.” Naruto sighed, clearly annoyed.
“No, there have been reports of the Akatsuki sighted patrolling the village.”
Shikamaru chirped in. “So that’s why you’re assembling such a big team.”
“That’s correct. I don’t want to be taken by surprise, so that’s why I’m assigning all six of you to go and see if there is any truth to these reports. And with that, I’m also assigning you as squad leader, Shikamaru.” Tsunade explained, hands propped up on the desk, fingers intertwined. “You have half an hour to get ready and head to the Hidden Waterfall village, understood?”
“Understood!” Everyone in the room agreed at once and quickly headed out of the office.
Meanwhile, Y/N stalked a rogue shinobi from up in the massive forest, surrounding the Land of Fire.
He had no idea she was there, no inkling at all which made her one of the most efficient ninja in the Hidden Leaf Village.
And the fact that he was distracted with a meeting in the middle of the woods kept him occupied. He was speaking with five other people, exchanging stolen information about the Leaf with them. Though the other individuals were handing him back scrolls of what she assumed was information on other villages as well.
At least after she took down these ninja, she could find out what information was being sold off.
After about ten minutes, the five other shinobi shook hands with the rogue ninja and quickly scattered.
She watched the rogue one sit down onto the ground, taking out a water canister and unscrewing the top.
Being confident that he wasn’t going, Y/N made a hand sign and produced five clones. All of them (including the real Y/N)looked at each other and nodded.
The clones disappeared while Y/N remained inside the thick foliage of the tree leaves.
Her eyes centered on the rogue ninja, relaxing against the tree she was currently hiding in and then abruptly jumped down, colliding elegantly with the solid ground.
The man jumped back clearly startled by her appearance. “What the hell?!”
From her crouching position, Y/N’s sharp eyes, black masked face whip up to make direct, face to face contact with him. She hears the man gasp and try to reach into his bag for a weapon.
Before his hand can even make contact with the pouch, Y/N throws long, precision needles into the man’s arm; pinning him to the dirt.
The man lets out a shout of pain and his arm is pinned at a 90o angle, and stuck behind his back. “What do you want?!” Y/N approaches the man, completely unphased by his screams. Her domineering stance and quiet nature makes the man visibly sweat, and he finds it hard to make any kind of rational thought.
This woman, this woman right here was unlike anything he’d ever seen.
Completely silent in her approach, beautiful figure, graceful in the way she moved with deadly precision, dark eyes locked on him, and an aura that reeked power; unadulterated power.
Never in his life had he ever met a woman that was able to combine beauty with danger; it was a combination he believed didn’t exist and yet here it was.
Should he be scared or impressed? He wasn’t sure.
He tried to reach for another weapon with his other hand, but another, foreign hand had wrapped around his wrist and pinned it there.
When he turned his head to look, he saw that it was a clone of Y/N, a flurry of black rose petals appearing as quickly as the clone had. It piqued his curiosity.
“Don’t try that again.” Y/N finally said, voice low and smooth.
“I asked you what you wanted.” The man grunted out, trying now not to move around too much.
Y/N walked forward, slipped her hand into the side pocket of his uniform and pulled out a seal scroll with the information he traded for earlier. “I want this.”
He watched Y/N neatly put away the scroll into her back pouch before speaking. “You looking for information on other villages too?”
“Actually, I’m looking for those documents you stole from the Leaf, but if I happen to gain a bit of an advantage over another village then so be it,” She softly explains, tone never fluctuating.
Without warning, the man burst out laughing. “Oh, I’m sorry! I’m afraid that those pretty little documents are already on their way out of the Land of Fire.”
Finally, Y/N’s voice changed when she hummed in amusement. “I wouldn’t be too sure about that.”
As soon as she finished, four clones then appeared at Y/N’s side. She raised her hand up just a bit and snapped her fingers; like that each of them, including the clone pinning the man’s arm, revealed the stolen documents he had just sold off to other rogue ninja.
More black petals floated down from the air as each one of her clones suddenly appeared before them.
His eyes widened in complete shock, air getting stuck in his throat almost preventing him from taking a proper breath.
They kept the documents out only for a couple of seconds then slid them back into their packs.
“Looks like this is the end of the line for you.”
“Wait!” The man screamed out, making Y/N pause for a moment to see what he wanted. When a couple of seconds passed, the man spoke again.
“There were rumors, started a couple of years ago. They were about a rogue assassin, killing other ninja left and right.” The man explained, the cold sweat rolling down his temples.
Y/N said nothing, it made him swallow nervously. “No one could find their bodies; all that was left were pools of blood and a single black rose.”
Then Y/N squinted at him, eyes narrow and fierce. “They called this assassin: Black Rose. I thought it was just rumors but…”
“You’ve changed your mind?” Y/N asked condescendingly.
“Well I’ve never seen anyone leave black petals lying around when they use clones or teleport said clones.”
There was a pregnant pause as both parties stared at each other, one’s heart racing and the other’s heart steady as drum.
Y/N clicked her tongue. “You should’ve believed the rumors, maybe you could’ve lived longer. Your complacency is what led you here.”
She saw the man tense up. “I believe them now so maybe we could make a deal.”
He tried to sound tough or unaffected by the aura surrounding this woman, but inside the terror was speeding over her nerves, up his spine, nearing choking him.
“I don’t make deals with rogues. I’m afraid that this is the end for you.”
“No!” The man screamed out, the panic now controlling him.
No please, I’ll do whatever you want. I’ve got resources, information; just tell me what you want.” The man pleaded.
Y/N took a step back, raising both hands to form a single hand sign. “I want you to disappear.” Then in a barrage of hand signs, too fast to keep, Y/N weaved her fingers together before landing on the final sign. “Ninja art: Black Flower Decay.”
A whirlwind of black flower petals swirled around them as if the wind was guiding their movements, eching their way closer and closer.
The man watched the petals coming his way and one single petal landed on his cheek; it was hot, burned even. But it was one petal, and for a split second he thought maybe he could take it, however that thought quickly left his mind when more petals started to collect on his skin.
Now the burning sensation grows in intensity until eventually the pain became overwhelming. The man again screamed out but this time it was more gutural; more real.
In a final blow, the wind directs the flower petals on every square inch of the man’s body. Then the petals began to completely break down the man’s body til nothing was left.
The man’s body was gone, the clones disappeared, the petals vanished, and the only thing left was a single black rose placed on the ground.
In seconds, Y/N was already miles away from the location of the rogue she’d just eliminated. Not to mention the other shinobi that she also killed when they took off with information that could’ve easily led to the destruction of the Leaf.
And no matter what she was not going to let that happen, not when she loved ones waiting for her.
Three years had passed since she was assigned on this mission, and not a single day went by that she didn’t think about her friends back home.
She wondered if any of them had made Chunin or Jounin, or if Lee had made a complete recovery from his surgery, or even wondered if Hinata had confessed her feelings for Naruto.
These were the types of things that wandered through her head, the things that kept her sane. Though after all this time, she wondered if they thought about her.
Maybe the first couple of months, sure since it was only a couple of months after Sasuke abandoned them all that she was sent away, but they were ninja; they had to focus on training, completing missions, trying not to die.
Truth be told, they most likely didn’t have the time to even wonder about her well being. Who would after three years? For someone who didn’t even say goodbye?
Oh well…
She was assigned a mission and had to complete it no matter what. That’s why Lady Tsunade entrusted this mission to her and only her.
Y/N was ripped out of her thoughts by a sudden and powerful burst of lightning right for her.
In a split second, she managed to dodge the attack in mid air and jumped to the nearest tree branch. From behind the sound of the lighting making contact with another tree causing the wood to splitter and blow apart.
The attack kicked up a bunch of dust to which nothing was visible for a couple of minutes.
Y/N waved her hand through the air to try to clear the area, watching as the dust only moved away from her general vicinity but nowhere else.
Her eyes darted around trying to fight the source of the attack, but before she could come to a conclusion she heard a voice from a somewhat short distance.
“I’m surprised you were able to dodge that so easily.”
That voice, that voice sounded familiar.
No, it couldn’t be.
As quickly as it appeared, a gust of wind swept away the debris, wiping the area completely clean of any signs of attack.
Her eyes widened, staring directly at the figure that stood on the solid ground twenty feet away. It was-
“Sasuke?”
“Most people would have been killed by an attack like that.” The Uchiha stated coldly.
Shaking the surprise, Y/N pulled herself back into espionage mode. “What are you doing here, Sasuke? Finally have a guilty conscience and decide to get over your superiority complex?”
Sasuke didn’t react. He didn’t smirk, or laugh sarcastically, he simply stood there with a cool expression. “You’ve caused Orochimaru some trouble; eliminating his line of resources and so he’s asked me to deal with you.”
“He’s still alive then. I’m surprised, I figured by now you would have killed him and taken control over his lackeys.” Y/N continued to retort back while on the inside she was getting nervous.
He hadn’t demonstrated his full power, however she’s always known he was strong. He was a Uchiha afterall.
“That will come eventually. Unfortunately, there is still something I need from him so until then I will do what I have to do.”
Y/N didn’t have anything else to say instead she stood there quietly, her right hand subtly reaching behind her into her tool bag.
Just as she had the kunai out of the pouch, she watched Sasuke vanish and his overwhelming presence was suddenly behind her.
She whipped her head around, eyes meeting a pair of crimson ones.
________
“This is so stupid!” Naruto complained very loudly for all to hear.
“Oh shut up, Naruto! You haven't stopped complaining since we left the Hidden Waterfall Village.” Sakura yelled back at him.
All Naruto did was huff as the entire team dashed across the treetops.
“It’s just if there are going to be rumors about the Akatsuki hanging around, they could at least do me the favor of actually being there.” Naruto added with a pout.
“Are you serious?” Choji chirped in from the back of the formation.
Then Shikamaru cut in. “Think about it; if the Akatsuki were actually there, we would’ve had our hands full even with the six of us.”
“Besides, you should know by now that rumors are not always true. So stop pouting.” Ino interjected as well, her own annoyance palpable in her tone.
Naruto grumbled in response, whatever words he was spouting to himself not audible to anyone else.
He remained mumbling for a while, even sprinting ahead of everyone without thinking about it.
“Stupid Akatsuki, stupid mission, stupid Shikamaru, stupid…” His vision caught an unusual color in the corner of his eye.
It wasn’t far so he immediately went to go take a closer look, oblivious to his team members flying right by only to stop once they noticed he was going in a different direction.
“Where do you think he’s going?” Sai asked, not expecting anyone to know that answer.
“Naruto! What are you doing?” Sakura from up on a tree branch as she saw Naruto jump down to the dirt floor.
He did not turn around to reply, but kept walking through the grass and bushes of the forest. “There’s something weird over here.”
Sai, Sakura, Ino, Shikamru, and Choji all exchanged looks of confusion before Sakura followed after him first and hopped down off the tree.
Naruto had a few feet on them as he stepped into a small clearing, seeing blood painting the ground.
He gawked at the sight for a second then focused on the next unusual thing, more unusual than blood in the middle of the woods.
In the middle of the pools of blood sat a single black rose.
Throwing caution to the wind, Naruto reached forward to grab ahold of the rose. His fingers had barely skimmed the surface of the dark petals when Sakura’s voice called out to him.
“What are you doing?! It could set off a trap.”
Naruto was too wrapped up in his own thoughts that his brain didn’t register anything his teammate was saying as he turned around to face them with the rose in the palm of his hand.
“Guys, what’s a rose doing out in the middle of nowhere like this and around all this blood?”
Once the gang’s eyes rested on the rose in Naruto’s hand most of them remained confused, but Shikamaru’s expression changed to one of knowing anxiety.
“Black Rose.” Was all Shikamaru uttered and everyone looked over at him now.
“What?” Choji questioned first.
“There’s been a lot of disappearances within the Land of Fire lately, all kinds of ninja gone in the blink of an eye with only their blood and a single black rose left behind.” Shikamaru explained, taking a moment to observe the battle field they were standinding before continuing.
“While there’s not a lot of tangible proof, the ninja that’s been doing this has been credited with over a hundred assassinations over the last three years factoring in they are even assassinations; but given the amount of blood I would say so.”
Ino couldn’t help but perk up at the mention of three years. She subconsciously mouthed them to herself, and her mind immediately jumped to the realization that her best friend had been gone that exact amount of time.
Is it possible-
There was a thud and a rustling within a tree off to the team’s right, about six feet away.
It took only a moment for each member to get into a defensive formation as they eyed the direction in which the rustling came from.
The tree leaves moved around a bit some more and then a figure fell out from the tree landing at the team’s feet causing all of them to jump back.
Even Sakura and Ino had gasped when this mysterious fell out of thin air.
From what they could see, it was a female; about their age, probably about average height with what looked to be a long scarf hanging around her neck and covering part of her face.
It was easy to tell that she was very unconscious even with her face covered. And she was injured.
“She’s bleeding!” Naruto pointed out as soon as he realized that fact.
He rushed over to her side while assessing her wounds, then reached to pull her mask off. His back blocked the others' view of the female and they waited for any kind of signal from Naruto.
“Uh guys?” He said, voice laced with shock and a slight tremble of anxiousness.
“What is it, Naruto?” Shikamaru calmly asked.
Without another word, Naruto took a couple of steps to the side revealing the woman to them.
There was lull in all sound, even the breeze that rushed against their ears suddenly went quiet. Everything that had once made sound now only sounded like the white noise coming from a tv, growing louder by each passing second.
It was almost too much.
“Y/N?” Ino’s voice broke them out of their trance right before she took a hesitant step forward.
Her mind seemed to catch up as she lunged forward, her best friend’s name leaving her mouth one more time. “Y/N!”
She bent down next to Naruto, violet eyes darting across Y/N’s body to see if they were more serious injuries. In her search, she saw a large laceration across Y/N’s back. The blood from the wound had soaked into the fabric of her uniform causing a clot to form there.
“She has a severe wound on her back, it’s big; probably eight inches in length.” Ino started to describe, weaving a quick hand sign then holding her hand over Y/N’s back, her hands glowing green as she began to heal the opening.
Sakura rushed over, appearing on the other side of Y/N. “Has it begun to clot?”
“A bit.” Ino answered curtly. “It looks like the tissue itself wasn’t. The blood soaked into the shirt, it’s acting as a sort of gauze.”
The others stepped closer to nervously observe Ino and Sakura’s movements.
Sakura then reached into her back pouch to pull out a black-brownish jar with a rigid lid. “Sai! Come over here.”
Sai reacted swiftly, making it to Sakura’s side in no time as she opened the jar in her hands.
“Now Sai, I want you to very slowly and very carefully peel back the fabric of her shirt; as you do I’m going to apply this paste to keep the wound from bleeding. It’ll act as a temporary bandage. You got it?”
“Got it!”
And just as Sakura had said Sai followed her instructions to the letter and as she mentioned as well, every inch of skin that was revealed under the uniform shirt, she applied a nearly transparent gel onto the surface of the wound to keep it from free flowing.
The moment that was finished, Sakura put the jar away and directed her gaze to Ino. “We have to go, it’s another couple of hours to the village at least. If she’s gonna make it, we have to go now.”
Ino nodded, stopping her healing and taking a hold of one of Y/N’s arms; the one closest to her. “Let’s get her up.” Sai then assisted with the other arm, and they both wrapped each arm around their shoulders.
“If we really push it, we can make it back to the village in less time.” Shikamaru suggested, his expression now back to normal with a subtle hint of concern.
“Well let's hurry then.” Choji added.
Naruto quickly stood up from his position, bringing a fist slamming into his other palm with a look of determination on his face. “Yeah the only chance Y/N’s got is if we stop talking and get on with it.”
All six ninja exchanged brief glances at each other then took off in the direction of the village with Y/N coming in and out of consciousness.
It felt like a lifetime but eventually they made it and as Shikamaru had said, they really pushed it and got there in only thirty minutes.
It was definitely a rough half hour, although it was a small price to pay for getting their friend the treatment that she desperately needed.
They all barged into the hospital, shouting several things all at once that it was hard for the front desk nurse to understand what they were saying. The point got across after Lady Tsunade showed up.
She’d heard that Y/N had returned to the village or rather had been dragged back because she had a serious injury to the back.
Sakura requested that she assist Tsunade in the surgery, but she denied it saying that Shizune would assist which left Sakura feeling helpless.
Tsunade understood that she wanted to help her teammate and friend, someone who had disappeared much like her love Sasuke, but even from a glance she could easily discern that Y/N’s injuries were serious.
Even though Sakura was a skilled medic ninja, she lacked the experience of delicate surgeries and Y/N’s condition required delicacy.
Sakura, Naruto, Sai, Shikamaru, Ino, and Choi waited with what could barely be considered patience, out in the waiting room.
Everyone sat down in an uncomfortable chair except for Naruto; he opted to pace.
Of course it set everyone on edge, but he has always been a fidgety person so add a bit of stress to that and he couldn’t sit still.
Though, Sakura did yell at him for not sitting like a normal person (her words). Normally Naruto wouldn’t have argued with the matter because she would’ve beaten him to a pulp for not heeding her word, but not this time.
He exclaimed that there was no way he could sit down since one of his friends was in surgery. Sakura remained quiet after that.
The silence permeated the very air they were breathing as they kept waiting for some sort of news on Y/N’s condition.
Until finally, Tsunade came out to meet them.
“She’s going to be just fine.” That was the first thing she said to them with a confident smile.
All the young shinobi had sighed in relief, the stress dripping off their shoulders to disappear forever.
“However,” Tsunade prefaced, “She’s in a medically induced coma so she won’t wake up for a while. The best thing she needs right now is sleep; this is also to keep her from moving around with that back injury so it’ll heal.”
Once more the young ninja exchanged looks of relief, happy to know that their friend was going to make it.
________
Nearly a week passed before Y/N woke up from her coma.
Her eyes felt the glare from the sunlight seeping in from the outside, and a warm sensation encasing her wrist.
When her gaze shifted to the presence of the warmth, she saw Lady Tsunade standing at her bedside while checking her pulse.
Honestly, at first, she didn’t recognize Tsunade for a few seconds until she spoke up.
“Well hello there, sleepy head. Finally decided to wake up.”
Y/N blinked a few times. “Lady Tsunade?”
The Hokage gently set Y/N’s hand back down to her side before crossing her arms and smiling down at the young woman. “Welcome back to the land of the living.”
“How-” She looked around the hospital room confused. “How did I get here?”
“I had sent several of your friends out on a mission to investigate rumors of the Akatsuki near the Hidden Waterfall village and on they’re way back, they found you lying in the middle of the forest.” Tsunade wasted no time explaining, her smile falling to a more casual expression.
Y/N’s eyes darted away to the hospital ceiling again, mouth gaped open subconsciously as her mind flashed back to that last thing she remembered.
“I vaguely remember somebody picking me up from the ground, but it’s all kind of hazy after that.” Y/N admitted.
Tsunade took a deep breath before speaking. “That’s not shocking, you were critically injured. It’s a miracle you were still alive when they brought you in.”
Both paused to gather their thoughts, the room becoming silent.
“What happened to you out there?” Tsunade asked with a startling seriousness.
She took some time to think through it, going back to every second stuck in her struggle against an old classmate. A classmate she actually used to know fairly well, and now he was nothing more than a stranger that she crossed unfortunate paths with.
“It was Sasuke.”
Tsunade didn’t even look surprised or shocked, it seemed as though she was already aware of who had almost killed her. After a minute or two, Tsunade nodded (more to herself).
“I see.”
“You don’t look surprised.” Y/N mentioned quickly.
The older blonde woman shook her head. “When I was performing your surgery, it was easy to make out the lightning pattern on your back. And not only that, upon taking a closer look I could see that the lightning had managed to barely sear the bone of your spine.”
She watched Y/N’s eyes widened at the revelation. Tsunade continued, “The attack was so precise that it scarred the bone, there’s one person I can think of that could use lightning like that.”
Y/N listened in horror, while trying to keep her mind from exploding with all the information coming in at once. “I am going to be okay?”
“Yes, luckily the scarring on your spine was superficial and there was no permanent damage that will affect your ability to walk or anything of the sort. The real problem was trying to close off the laceration, but that’s been taken care of too.”
“Oh thank goodness…” Y/N breathed a sigh of relief, holding her hand up to her chest.
Tsunade stepped forward, arms resting back at her sides. “However, you will need to rest as much as you can and you’ll need to start physical therapy.”
Y/N grumbled something under her breath; she would’ve rolled her eyes but her head hurt too much.
“Don’t get an attitude with me. It’s important to get your body back up to speed, that surgery took a lot out of you.” Tsunade scolded, her own brows pinching together in a frown.
“Yeah, yeah I know.” The younger ninja waved her off, choosing to now stare at the wall ahead of her as she sat up against her pillows.
She tried to suppress a deep rooted groan, unfortunately it proved useless, as the shock of pain in her back caught her off guard.
Her mouth let out a gasp before her teeth came clamping down on each other to soften any other noises that would try to escape.
“Try to move around slowly. Even if you were asleep for a week, you need to give yourself some time to heal.”
Y/N’s nearly popped out of her skull when those words processed in her brain. “A week? I’ve been here a whole week?”
Lady Tsunade opened her mouth to say something only to be interrupted when the hospital room door came slamming open.
“I can’t take it anymore!”
A familiar bright blonde haired male came bursting into the room with no regard for what anyone else was saying (Tsunade). He ran over to Y/N’s bedside, a now bright grin on his face.
“Hey Y/N, how ya doing?” He asked casually. It soon earned him a hard whack to the back of the head, a pink haired girl moving in.
“Naruto, you idiot! I told you to WAIT!” Sakura shouted quite angrily. Then she yanked Naruto back by the collar of his orange and black jacket.
Slowly, but surely several other people began to filter into the room, each other with their own unique uniform design.
And she knew every single one of them! Her face didn’t show it but she was glad to see them, it had been too long since the last time she saw them and now here they were.
Every one of them was taller than she remembered; particularly Shikamaru. Back then, she used to think that Shikamaru was kind of small but not so much now; he was fuller, broader.
He had grown up quite a bit.
Sakura had still been yelling at Naruto when Y/N shook herself out of her head, and focused on what was happening right now.
“Come on, Sakura…Cut me some slack okay? It’s been forever since I saw her last.”
“Ugh…” Sakura sighed as she placed a couple of fingers to her temple to dampen the oncoming headache. She switched gears in a few seconds as she faced Y/N, a small replacing the scowl.
“It’s been too long though, what have you been up to?” She nicely asked.
Y/N paused for a second as she thought of what to say; suddenly her throat felt unusable and her mind blanked. All the time she spent thinking of her friends, she never thought about what she’d say once she saw them again.
“O-oh…you know, finishing up a mission” She plainly answered, trying to sound like she used to.
What did she used to sound like?
There echoed a collective noise of surprise coming from her friends, their faces matching that.
“A mission? You mean the past three years, you’ve been on a mission?” Ino cut in, stepping forward to now be standing close by Y/N’s left side.
Y/N’s eyes danced over the faces of the people she once knew, to realize that they were different. It made her throat feel snapped shut.
She swallowed, noticing the soreness of it. “Yeah…”
“Why didn’t you tell us?” Choji asked, his voice taking on obvious sadness.
Y/N went to answer but Tsunade cut her off. “It was a stealth mission of the highest order. It needed to be kept secret. No one was allowed to even be aware of why or when she was leaving the village.”
“So that’s why you left without saying goodbye.” Ino voiced as she held her hand against her chest as if she were trying to keep herself focused on the now instead of thinking on what happened back then. She wouldn't admit it out loud, but when she learned that Y/N was gone and no one knew why, she feared that she had succumbed to the same darkness that corrupted Sasuke.
Y/N was her best friend, they told each other everything especially the dumbest of stuff. They always said “Hi” or Good morning, always trading a goodbye before departing on a mission. In some weird way, they felt secure in that. To them it felt like a guarantee that even though they said goodbye it would never be the last.
So when Y/N suddenly wasn’t there anymore, it left Ino afraid that she had been unable to stop her from following a path with no way to return.
Y/N hung her head in shame, now having a difficult time looking them in the eyes. All she saw was the lingering disappointment swimming in their eyes.
“You’re different than before.” Naruto added in the middle of the silence.
She knew all too well.
“Back then, whenever you were around us you were always smiling, always laughing with us. And even when we’d end up in the hospital after a mission, you were always there to cheer us up.” Naruto continued, his usual boisterous personality on the back burner as he spoke softly and sincerely.
“But now, you’ve got this blank look on your face like you don’t know what smiling is.”
He wasn’t wrong. Not at all.
Three years spent on a mission tucking away her feelings, forgetting how much she missed being home and being with friends, and forgetting what made her who she is would make anyone feel as if they didn’t belong in the very place they called home.
It wasn’t a revelation she was prepared for.
The moment she tied that headband to her head she thought the it would be in the middle of the battlefield that she’d feel the most on edge, never did she think that moment would fall on her when she was surrounded by those she loved.
“Don’t be so insensitive, Naruto.” Sakura scolded him again, though this time she spoke less angrily and more concerned for Y/N’s reaction.
“Look, what I’m saying is that you’re not the same as before. What happened out there?”
Finally, Y/N looked up. “A lot of things happened out there. And-”
“Okay, that’s enough for one day.” Shikamaru advised after several minutes of not speaking.
“But Shikamaru-” Naruto began but Shikamaru spoke over him.
“Remember she’s suffered a critical injury; she still needs time to heal and us bringing up details of a delicate mission isn’t helping.”
At that, Naruto’s blue eyes drifted to the tiled floor in a silent agreement.
“Shikamaru is right, the best thing you all can do for her is to let her rest. Her bandages need replaced anyway, so clear out.” Tsunade ordered gently while crossing her arms over her chest.
Silently, each member made their way out of the room, glancing back to Y/N a few times (collectively) before they were out the door. Y/N and Tsunade waited until they could no longer hear their footsteps to say anything else.
“He’s right.” Y/N uttered, staring down at her palms.
“That’s his other gift…” Tsunade said thoughtfully, walking around Y/N’s bed to face the window. “He senses changes in people, no matter how subtle. It’s easy to forget when he acts like a moron.”
Y/N felt her mouth quirk up into a sentimental smile. “It's because of that ability that makes him such a force to be reckoned with.”
“I agree.” Tsunade stood by the window for a few more moments then looked over her shoulder at Y/N. “Alright, how about we get those bandages changed?”
________
Time passed, at what felt like, a blink.
Another week passed before Y/N was cleared to go home, but it felt like time rushed by her. Even when her friends would visit her, the hours they’d spend trying to fill Y/N on what she missed, seemed like mere minutes; gone without a chance to turn around.
Maybe that was better.
Since that first visit, Y/N hadn’t been able to shake the feeling of guilt hanging over her. Every time any one of her old friends came to see her, she saw the sadness in their eyes.
She attempted to act like how she used to, happily-go-lucky, but it was all forced and definitely difficult to keep that up so she quickly decided to let it naturally come back to her.
Whenever that would happen.
It was hard; knowing that her friends expected her to revert back to the old days, and be who she was. And she wanted to be that for them, she truly did, it’s just being on a mission that negated any sort of humanly interaction or connection made it seem like it was all a dream to begin with.
And when she couldn’t deliver, the disappointment always returned.
Now she was a walking blank canvas; splashed with a coat of white to hide any unique colors and patterns.
It almost scared her how much she didn’t react or feel.
Would she ever be the same?
The thought lingered at the forefront of her mind while Y/N sat criss cross on her own bed.
Her back was slouching a bit which caused her to grunt in pain when she straightened herself out again.
Lady Tsunade ordered her to sit as straight as she possibly could to help the healing process, but she was a creature of habit so she’d start out with correct posture then slip back into a slouch then would quickly correct herself again.
It was causing a lot of unnecessary pain.
Y/N huffed as she forced her shoulders to lie straight and back up, being as perpendicular as she could. While she did so, she kept her eyes on the blue sky filled with an abundance of white, fluffy clouds.
Cloud watching was a hobby of her’s, particularly when there wasn’t a lot going on during her mission.
Any time she felt nervous or anxious or bored, she’d tilt her head back and watch them float.
There was something very relaxing about that process.
But she didn’t enjoy it for long when a knock came at her door. Y/N perked up, head whipping to the other side of her room.
“Who is it?” She asked aloud.
“It’s me, Ino.” The muffled voice said on the other side of the door.
Bracing herself, Y/N carefully lifted her aching body up from the bed to make her way to the front door.
She opened the door to find an anxious Ino, twiddling her thumbs. “Hi.”
“Hey, can you come with me somewhere?” Ino abruptly asked.
Y/N raised a brow at her. “I guess, but where are we going?”
Her answer visibly made Ino relax. She let out a breath she didn’t realize she was holding. “It’s a surprise.”
Then she turned on her heel, making her way down the apartment building hallway and in no time, Y/N followed close behind her.
For some reason, Ino chose not to make conversation on the way to wherever it was they were going.
Instead she quietly led the way, leaving the village houses behind with each passing step and ventured through some trees.
Something about the path they were taking looked familiar, so much so that it caused a warmth to center in Y/N’s gut spreading over her nerves like a warm blanket.
When it came to forests, three years isn’t enough time for it to change, and it looked exactly as it did back then.
Ino eventually stepped through the set of trees, and made it into a sunbathed clearing, completely lavished with a mass of flowers.
Y/N eyes grew wide at the sight; she couldn’t remember the last time she had been here even before she left.
Once she graduated from the academy there was never time to come back here, to relax and enjoy the simple colors of the flowers and their comforting smells wafting through the air.
It still looked like the small piece of heaven she loved so dearly.
“I can tell you remember this place.” Ino finally said, turning around to fully face Y/N; a soft smile on her face. “I know how much you used to love it here.”
“Why are we here?” Y/N asked, her own gaze observing every flower grazing her legs.
Ino stepped up to Y/N, laying a comforting hand on her shoulder. “Because we loved this place when we were kids, so let’s enjoy it.”
Then Ino lightly nudged Y/N to follow her again and this time they didn’t walk that much further when they met a slight slope slanting downwards from where they were.
Ino took a spot on the small slope, then again nudged for Y/N to sit down with her. She did.
As soon as Y/N seated herself onto a patch of grass, Ino reached out and pulled out a white flower with a yellow center. “Do you remember what kind of flower this is?”
Y/N let out a quick airy laugh, caught slightly off guard by the question. “Uh..a jasmine.”
Ino nodded with a smile. Still holding the jasmine, she plucked out another one. This flower was drenched in a bright pink, petals resembling lace. “This one?”
“A carnation.”
She picked another one; it had a long green stem with a bushel of tiny purple petals at the top. “This one?”
Y/N nodded. “Lavender.”
Reaching for one more, Ino pulled up a flower with a somewhat stringy inside, center white and the petals gradually from that bright white to a light pink.
“How about this one?”
To Y/N’s shock, she didn’t recognize it. It definitely looked familiar, but there were several other flowers popping in her head that matched the look of it.
Staring at the flower, Y/N cautiously shook her head as if she were afraid she would disappoint Ino.
Ino held the flower up to her nose to smell the fragrance, closing her eyes a second to relish it before opening them again. “It’s a gladiolus.”
Y/N sadly decided not to respond to that.
“It was your favorite one back then. When we were still in the academy, you told Sakura and I  that they could be all sorts of colors like pink..” she gestured to the pink one in her hand. “Or yellow or white. And you also said that they had healing properties used by our medic ninja. It was easy to tell how excited you were to tell us about it; how much you knew about flowers.”
“What’s going on, Ino? Why are we out here?” Y/N finally confronted the strange behavior of her friend.
Ino rested her hands in her lap, the flowers she’d plucked nearly falling from her limp hands. “I thought that if I could remind you of what you used to do, what we used to do together when we were kids, maybe it’d bring back the part of you that’s been hiding.”
“And you were the only one who wasn’t disappointed in me to try, huh?” Y/N laughed humorlessly.
Quickly, Ino faced her friend. “None of us were disappointed in you. We were all worried because you weren’t yourself anymore, and we could see how upset that made you.”
“Then why are you the only one who’s said anything? Why are you the only one out here?” Y/N began to feel the hopelessness grow in her chest like an infection.
Somewhere in the past week, she had rationalized that she had lost her friends because she couldn’t be there the same way as she could three years ago.
“I’m the only one out here because I asked everyone if I could be the first to help you remember. After this, Sakura and Naruto got their own thing planned for you.”
“What do you mean?” Y/N questioned, utterly confused by that statement.
“Well…” Ino began then recounted what happened only a few hours ago.
It was the middle of the afternoon when Sakura, Ino, and Naruto strolled down the street. Originally, Sakura and Ino were walking together but then Naruto saw them and caught up to them to talk as well.
There was some simple chatter going on between them when Naruto began to complain. “Don’t you guys think it’s weird that Y/N isn’t acting like herself anymore?”
Sakura and Ino stopped in their tracks, standing beside each other as Naruto took a few steps ahead before stopping himself, arms coming down to his sides after being held up in a casual posture.
“It’s not weird.” Ino answered somberly.
Sakura frowned. “It isn’t unusual for people to change when they’ve been alone on a mission for that long, especially if it was high priority.”
Naruto gritted his teeth. “I know, but it’s still weird to me. She used to be so happy back then, it was never boring when she was around, she had so much energy and now it’s like that person is gone. Like someone is impersonating her.”
“She’s not gone.” Ino was quick to add. “I can still see the cheerful girl we used to know, I think she’s just got lost along the way.”
Sakura nodded. “I think you’re right.”
There was a brief inter pause when Ino gasped, startling both Sakura and Naruto. “I have an idea!”
The other two ninja waited patiently for Ino to tell them what her idea was.
“We’ve been trying to fill her in on all that she’s missed the past three years right? Well if we instead we show her things of our past together, from when we were kids?”
Sakura’s eyes lit up. “Like when we played in the river together?”
“Or when we read comic books and played games together?!” Naurot chided, his voice grew louder than it was seconds ago.
Ino snapped her fingers and grinned. “Exactly! If we re-experience places we went, things we liked to do then maybe we could remind her of who she is.”
“It’s worth a shot at least.” Sakura smiled, looking between Ino and Naruto.
Naruto threw his fist up in the air. “Are you kidding me? That idea is awesome!”
“Alright, then from now on, each of us will try to remind Y/N of our precious memories together. Ready?” Ino closed her hand, and stuck a fist out to her friends.
Sakura and Naruto both bumped Ino’s fist, earning an excited cheer from all three at the same time.
“You see? That’s all we want, is for you to remember not who you used to be but who you are.” Ino explained, leaning over to a bundle of gladiolus flowers and extending them toward Y/N.
Her violet gaze could see the beginnings of tears gathering in Y/N’s eyes. “Like these gladiolus, maybe we could begin to heal you. If that’s okay?”
They fell, the tears that had been clouding her vision rolled down her cheeks, leaving a warm sensation in their wake.
For the first time in a long time, Y/N let out a relieved sob, taking the bundle of flowers from Ino’s grasp. Her head dipped down to stare at the colorful bouquet, watching her tears fall onto the petals and pool there.
The shame and guilt that hung off her injured back, finally disappeared, giving her the chance to breathe again, to actually breathe. Each inhale of air felt cold going down her throat but left her refreshed.
It was overwhelming.
Ino gave her space, letting her friend cry, to push out everything that she’d kept buried under a lock and key.
It wasn’t until Y/N had pulled her head back up and extended her arms out, that she hugged Y/N tightly to her and she reciprocated. Ino could feel her own tears begin to build.
Y/N cried a little while longer, then allowed herself to speak through the sobs. “Thank you; for not giving up on me.”
Ino pulled back, hands then resting softly on Y/N’s shoulders again. “That’s what friends are for.”
That caused Y/N to let out a tearful laugh and Ino mimicked that.
It was good to be home.

a/n: this was a long one, and I probably wrote more than I really needed to but honestly I do that more than people think. Regardless, if you're reading this thank you for making it all the way through this; it was a lot.

Under the Influence
Shikamaru Nara x gn!reader
Word count:0.9k
Warnings:making out, teasing
Summary: Shikamaru returned from his mission and seemed a little bit down, so you try to find him and cheering him up...
Masterlist
Tumblr media
My thoughts were racing. Shikamaru had just returned from his latest mission. I heard that it went semi-well, but everyone came home alive. But still, no one had seen Shikamaru since then. It was like he vanished and I was really starting to get concerned, so I decided to check his "special place", as he liked to call it.
It was a roof from where he could watch the clouds over the City, away from everything.
I was slightly panting after making my way up the stairs. I quietly stepped onto the roof and I spotted Shikamaru laying on his back, a few meters away from me.
"There you are", I mumbled and put my hands on my hips, intensely watching Shikamaru.
He however, only looked at me for a second before granting me a huff.
I sat down next to him and looked up at the clouds. It was a windy day, so they were moving fast.
"What do you want?", Shikamaru suddenly asked and sat up next to me.
I looked at him perplexed:"Nobody has seen you lately, I just wanted to know if you're fine."
He huffed again:"Fine is relative"
I sighed and nudged his shoulder:"What happened?"
Shikamaru looked down and closed his eyes for a second, before leaning his head against my shoulder. I felt how my heart startet racing at the close contact, but I forced myself to remain calm. I slowly raised my hand to brush through his hair.
"I almost lost a teammate...again. And I am starting to think, that maybe I am not a good Shinobi. If I keep getting people hurt, maybe I shouldn't be here."
I looked at Shikamaru shocked. How could he think that?
"Shika...",I mumbled and grabbed his hand, "Don't you dare saying that again! You're such a smart man, probably the smartest of us all. And you're a great Shinobi, there is no denying in that. I know that you think it's your fault that others got hurt, but you did your job, you protected them. You brought them back home!"
I smiled at him and carefully layed my fingers under his chin, making him look at me:" And for me, that makes you the greatest Shinobi of all."
I watched as a grin formed on Shikamaru's lips:" Really? I am your greatest? "
I felt heat rising to my cheeks, as he grabbed my hand, still laying on his cheek and pulled me closer.
"Am I, hm?", he mumbled, his face inches away from mine.
"Shika...",I wined, overwhelmed by his reaction.
"Come on, tell me", he teased, his lips next to my ear.
I sighed:"Fine, you win."
I watched him grin as he got closer and closer:"Oh Y/N, You don't know what you did to me."
I gasped at his words, before he pressed his lips against mine. My eyes closed and after overcoming the initial shock , I immediately responded. Shikamaru sighed against my lips and I felt him carefully pull me into his lap, his hands encircling behind my back.
As my hands closed around his neck, I watched as a moan escape Shikamaru's mouth and he pulled me even closer. His lips landed in my neck, working his way down. My head fell on his shoulder, as he found my sweetspot.
"Shika...",I mumbled.
"What is it, love?", Shikamaru asked, raising his hand to push away the hair that had escaped my bun, "Use your words."
He was watching me intensely, studying how I reacted to his actions, to his hands making their way under my uniform, touching every piece of exposed skin that he could find.
"I-I-...", I stuttered, unable to form a coherent sentence. My cheeks reddened, as I thought about how this little of touching already got me aroused.
"SHIKAMARU!? Y/N!?"
My face got even redder, as Shikamaru and I got off of each other as fast as possible, as Ino suddenly entered the roof. Choji arrived a few seconds after her, panting and leaning on his knees.
"What are you two doing?", Ino smirked and crossed her arms. She inspected our disshelved clothes and red faces.
"That's none of your concern.",Shikamaru sighed. An annoyed expression on his face.
"Whatever", Ino mumbled.
"Were glad, that we finally found you.",Choji now said, having recovered from running up the stairs.
"You were looking for us?", I asked.
"Uh yeah. We haven't seen you in a while.", Ino explained, rolling her eyes in fake annoyance.
"You found us now. And we're fine, so thank you.",Shikamaru said and got up. He granted Ino and Choji a lazy smile before turning back around to me.
" Bring it over to my place?", he asked.
I felt how my cheeks reddened again, as he held out his hand to me.
I sheepishly took it and he pulled me up against his chest. I looked down in embarrassment, as we walked past Choji and Ino.
"See you guys later", Shikamaru yelled, as the two of them looked after us perplexed.
Before we left, I could hear Ino whispering something to Choji.
"You owe me money, I knew they would end up together"

SAKURA 🌸 HEADCANONS (sfw)
Tumblr media
★ Sakura is a total sweetheart towards you. It's obvious she has a rough–and–tough complexion like Tsunade but anyone besides you, Kakashi, Naruto, Lee, and Sasuke can see that.
★ In my personal opinion she's the type of person to buy you anything you ask for. She's all out for shopping, eating at restaurants, and going to fairs and stuff. You both will have lots of fun.
★ Don't have any plans? That's completely fine! She'll set up her fire place, put some jazz on in the background, and boil some cocoa! She loves cozy vibes, anyways.
★ She loves to cook. Mainly full meals or desserts, especially for you. In your opinion her pies are the best.
★ Obviously, since she's a medical ninja, she knows how to take care of you when you're sick. She'll force the crap out of you to stay in bed and feed you (nasty) medicines and (delicious) soup!
★ You two like to dance together randomly in the middle of her living room tbh. I can imagine it. You're surprised at how good she is at doing the cha cha. She must've had too much free–time.
★ Training is not her ideal hangout time however she's down to do it with you.
★ She likes to hold hands whenever you two are in public. I can imagine it makes her feel are warm and jittery inside.
★ Whenever you kiss her on the cheek she blushes redder than the crate of tomatoes in Sasuke's kitchen. Sometimes she has to fan herself to calm down.
★ She also likes to spoon you, just saying. Even though it takes her awhile to sleep it's still cozy.
★ Whenever she's mad at you, she sounds like she's scolding a little child. For example, when you broke her vase.
★ "[name].." she would put her hands on her hips as she stood in front of you, her eyebrows creased to show her irritation.
★ It's extremely scary to you; you know what she's capable of doing. "Sorry, Sakura.." You looked down and swung your feet, the floor being the most interesting thing you ever did see.
★ She would sigh and pinch the bridge of her nose as if releasing all the pint up aggressiveness she could've displayed towards you, as if you were Naruto or Ino. "It's fine .. just, be more careful!" You're surprised to see the delicate smile on her beautiful face.
★ Though she scolds you for being clumsy, she's not too stable herself..
★ Whenever she's in the comfort of her own home, it's easy to scare her. You barely have to tap her shoulder and she's yelping, gripping onto the nearest thing to hold herself from falling. The embarrassed blush on her face is adorable.
★ She loves you so freaking much. If anyone messes with you, they'll be beaten to a pulp. Naruto/Sai says something that makes you hurt? He'll be walking home with a fractured skull, possibly in the hospital.
★ 10/10. Such a sweet and fun girlfriend.
Tumblr media
after years, it seems, of debating if the naruto fandom is deceased on here i decided to post this. removed the nsfw part for various reasons but i'll most likely post it on ao3.

Prompt #21 with Sasuke from Naruto please! 🥰 Surprise me!
Tumblr media
Part One → Part Two → Part Three
Pairing: Sasuke Uchiha x Reader
Anime: Naruto
Word Count: 3k
Synopsis: you hate him and he hates you, but when he shows up out of nowhere demanding to speak to you all of those years of pent up hatred come out
Warnings: this is the first smut I wrote in years so that’s a warning in itself, rough doggy, all characters are of age/aged up, dirty talk, angry sasuke, oral (female receiving), missionary for 2.5 seconds, angry reader at sasuke
Prompt: “This doesn’t change anything between us.”
A/N - look I actually tried really hard on this and I lowkey wanna make a pt2 to this so please tell me if y’all would want it! Feel free to request a prompt!
"Isn't he so cute!"
"I'm going to marry him someday."
"Sasuke is so cool!"
Hearing his name you couldn't help but roll your eyes. You couldn't stand his attitude even at your young age. It was always someone trying to one up the other, whether it be you excelling in your chakra control or him beating someone else in seconds in a sparring match. You hated him, you hated his attitude and you hated how every girl would throw herself in front of a kunai for him. You hated Sasuke Uchiha and he hated you.
Your feelings towards him weren't one sided either, he could've left you alone but no, he had to bother you any chance he got. Clearly he developed damage to his brain where he can't learn to develop the skills of empathy and self control.
The teasing wasn't that bad, it was the shitty tricks he'd pull and act like it wasn't him. If you wanna pull a prank on someone at least take ownership instead of being a pussy. Did you just call a 12 year old a pussy? Yes. Yes you did. Sasuke Uchiha at 12 years old was a pussy and you've told him that to his face too.
                                          ~~~
"You're leaving." You say as more of a statement than a question. You look at the brooding kid in front of you, his hand on his backpack strap tightening as he stares angrily at you.
"What does it matter to you?"
"It doesn't but-"
"Then shut up and mind your business." He interjects quickly causing you to stare daggers at him.
"You're a pussy." You push off from the wall you were leaning on and brush past him. "You were weak during exams and you're weak now." You begin to walk away past him when his grips the collar of your shirt and slams you back into the wall you were on. "Hey asshole!-"
"Shut. The. Fuck. Up." He cuts you off, his face only mere inches from you.
"You wanna kiss pretty boy?" You shove him away as hard as you can creating some distance between the two of you. "Just get the fuck out of the village already."
And so he did.
You couldn't feel any happier once Sasuke was out of the village. The pain in your ass wasn't there anymore and you felt like you didn't need to prove yourself as the top of your class anymore even though you have been graduated from the academy for over two years. You were perfectly fine without him, everyone else he supposedly made 'friends' with, if he was even able to make actual friends that is; they were worried, suddenly wanting to go out and retrieve him like he was taken. Once again Sasuke was the top priority to everyone minds.
You couldn't care less about Sasuke Uchiha.
                                      ~~~
He hasn't crossed your mind on your own accord in years. You hadn't seen him in years, you know he's still a topic around the village but you tend to zone everyone out when he gets brought up and at this point in time it's been working. Out of sight, out of mind, he could have gotten himself killed in a random battle and you don't think you'd shed a single tear for him.
You hear a bang at your front door which catches your attention immediately, you go to ignore it thinking it's the neighbor's kid across from your apartment kicking the ball they had against your door until the banging becomes repetitive, the more bangs coming from the other side of the door the louder they became. You swing the door open looking to see who or what was the cause of the annoying noise only to be shoved to the side into the door frame. "What the hell!" You raise your voice grabbing the wrist of who barged in, you get overpowered and pulled back into your apartment and the door gets slammed. You look up at the intruder who shoved his way into your home and see him. "Sasuke?"
Sasuke looks frustrated to say the least. He has the same signature scowl he's always had on his face and the same posture with his arms crossed over his chest while looking around your apartment. There doesn't seem to be a difference in the way he looks at you either, the same hatred behind his eyes as always, even with him being the one rudely shoving his way inside.
"(Y/N)." He said simply with nothing coming after. You waited a few moments if he was just trying to be dramatic with his entrance. He never said anything after that.
"Why are you back in the village?"
"I'm not." You roll your eyes and huff a sigh.
"Why are you here in my apartment then?" You mimic his body and cross your arms over your chest, his head turns to face you and his eyes stare at you intensely. You'd say you were used to this but after so many years you've grown unaccustomed to the look he used to give you because it was nothing like this.
"I'm here to talk, I need to-"
"Why am I supposed to care what you need?" You  insert before he's done speaking. He huffs a breath and soon enough his eyes shoot the daggers you remember.
"I don't expect you to I just need-"
"How about you tell me why you left the village in the first place?" You cut him off mid sentence once again. You don't care about his needs, you don't care about him at all, but you'd like some answers. "Was it like everyone was saying? That you just wanted to grow stronger? So did you find it? Did you get stronger like you wanted?"
"That doesn't matter I don't need to answer that right now, you clearly already know the answer to that." He rolls his eyes and let his arms fall from his chest.
Sasuke was never a man of many words, he was never a man at all he was just a little boy, but with his responses you can't help but bug him about it. Call it being nosy or call it you always zoning everyone out the second you hear his name so you never actually found out the reasoning for him abandoning the village.
"So you're still weak? You're still that little kid who does nothing but bitch and complain about wanting revenge. You may have grown up in these last few years but you're still that sad, pathetic, weakling-" Your shoulders are shoved and pinned to the wall behind you in a moment, you gasp out at the sudden jolt in your back and look up at the angry ravenette.
"Shut up." He growls lowly and if looks could kill, not that he could but you'd probably drop dead if he wished it.
"Make me you prick." You look at him, your stare unwavering as the pressure on your shoulders feels tighter.
There is no sound in your home but everything seems to be buzzing in your ears. Sasuke's face only inches from yours, seemingly just like when he left the village. You feel a sudden wave of nostalgia if you can even call it that as it wasn't a fond memory to think back on. You wait for his response, you look into his eyes and can't decipher what's going on in his head. His grip on your shoulders loosen before he crashes his lips onto yours, his hand now finding a place onto the back of your neck to pull you even closer to him.
Your eyes widen in shock as you don't kiss him back. The kiss surprising you but what is even more of a shock is who is kissing you. You feel him pull away and the look he gives you is mixed with annoyance and frustration. "Just kiss me back." He pauses and smirks, "Or are you too much of a pussy." Your eyes darken with anger as he used your insult to him against yourself. He doesn't wait for your answer before he pulls you back to his lips, you instantly kissing back.
The kiss was hard and the only emotion behind it was the hatred you feel towards him. Your lips molded together as you two kissed, his hand found it's way from the back of your neck to tangling itself in your hair while you felt his grip tighten sending a tingling sensation to your scalp. He took the opportunity to slide his tongue in heating the kiss up in an instant.
You could feel him press against you, his leg sliding between yours and pressing against your clothed core, a small sound comes out but is quickly swallowed down by him. His lips leave yours to slowly kiss down your jaw, it was excruciatingly slow the way he kissed you, from your jaw to your neck to the sweet spot he found almost instantly. You bit back a moan but he made sure to take his time marking up your neck.
The feeling of his thigh was hard to push to the back of your mind, all you could feel was Sasuke and what he was doing to you. You hate him, you hate how he's making you react right now and you hate at how good he is and neither of you have even taken a single piece of clothing off of each other yet. You hate even more the needy words that come out of your mouth next.
"Bedroom." You say almost breathlessly, you could feel the smirk he gives against your neck before quickly going back to your lips. His hands slide to your waist and pull you to him and walk you back not daring to break from the kiss. He pushes open one door and you feel your ass bump into something hard and cold, you pull away from him to see you backed up against your washing machine. "You idiot, this is the wrong room." You roll your eyes and walk past him going into your bedroom.
"How the fuck was I supposed to know that it's not like I've been in your apartment." He scoffs following you and kicking the door shut.
"Oh I bet you must've dreamed-" your words were short lived as he spun you around and kissed you quieting you down.
Kissing Sasuke wasn't like all the books you've read, it wasn't sweet, it wasn't like being with your ex's when you were in love. His kiss was full of passion, it's a kiss of desire and a feeling of pent up frustrations he nor you have been able to let out. Frustrations at each other, at the world, at everything. Sasuke was a damn good kisser too which annoyed you even further.
His lips left yours to tug off your top, the fabric quickly being discarded to a random corner in your room. His eyes ate your figure up, seeing how your breasts layed there perfectly in your bra you were wearing. A low groan left his lips as he went to kiss up your chest, his fingers hooking onto the waistband of your skirt and started to tug it down past your thighs pooling around your ankles. You quickly kicked them away and pulled at his shirt. "Off." You demand and he takes no time in removing his shirt before pushing you back to the edge of the bed and dropping to his knees."
"Spread." He now is the one demanding. You go to spread your legs before pausing and closing them causing a confused look to cross his face.
"This doesn't change anything between us. I still hate you." His confusion quickly deadpans before shaking his head.
"God shut up." He spreads your legs and pushes your panties to the side before slowly swiping his thumb along your slit and pressing it to your clit causing you to gasp. "You're soaked." It was more of a statement than anything but feeling his thumb start to roll little circles on your clit sent a shockwave up your body. You watched him as he stared at your pussy.
"Are you going to sit and stare or are you going to actually do something pretty boy?" Your words rang in his ears and he slowly looked up at you, the same irritation growing in him like it did all those years ago when you'd call him that name. His thumb left your clit and his index and middle finger slowly pushed it and curled causing you to let out a small moan. He could feel you already clenching around them as he started to pump them in and out of you. "Stop calling me that." His head dipped down between your thighs and licked a long swipe before settling on your clit making you let out another moan.
"I can't help it." You say running your fingers through his hair. "You're a pretty- ahh fuck..." Sasuke sucks on your clit harshly, his fingers curling and uncurling from your gspot making your mind go fuzzy with the pleasure he's giving you. Your fingers tighten in his hair tugging slightly, "Fuck Sasuke." You throw your head back taking in the feeling of his tongue and fingers working on you. You can feel the coil in your stomach tighten up and you screw your eyes shut feeling the pleasure hit you. You feel dizzy and can't focus on anything but Sasuke. He tugs your panties down past your hips and tosses them to the side before finally undoing his pants. You fall back against your bed, chest heavy as that was one orgasm that knocked the wind out of you.
You feel the bed dip down before you're turned over to your stomach, a harsh smack heard before you felt his hand come across your ass. "Ass up." He says, his voice low as he picks up your hips positioning them to his liking. You feel him bring the tip of his cock up and down your slit causing you to shiver. You can just feel the smirk on his face before he pushes in giving you no moment to get adjusted. You let out a mix of a moan and groan feeling him stretch you out, you not having any sort of sex in a while is the excuse you'd like to give but you also didn't expect Sasuke to be big in the slightest.
His hands gripped your hips and brought you back with each thrust, you arched your back and dropped your head letting out small moans as he hit a spot in you that you haven't felt before. "You ever felt this good before with anybody else?" You could hear the smugness in his voice. "You're so fucking tight, don't tell me, you weren't saving yourself for anyone were you?" He chuckles as he thinks what he's saying is funny, you throw your hand back ready to smack him but he quickly catches it and pins your arm behind your back pushing you further into the mattress as he slams into you at a slower pace. "Of course you weren't, you take my cock too well."
You could feel every inch of him with every hard thrust he gives you, feeling him deep in your stomach as you grip the bedsheets tighter and tighter.  "Please go faster." You whine out without meaning to. Sasuke pulls out and flips you to your back before slowly pushing back in making you moan. He leaned forward his thrusts picking up pace and making you look at him.
The close proximity of him making you nervous all of a sudden, missionary was for eye contact, kissing, all of that intimate shit. Doggy style is much more your style with Sasuke. You don't have to look at him. The smirk on his face makes you question him before he speaks. "Who knew you were such a needy sub." Your eyebrows furrow as you go to speak but the words died on your tongue when Sasuke brings his fingers to your clit again bringing you close to your second orgasm. "You're just taking my dick like a good girl, aren't you?" You shake your head refusing to listen to him. His fingers move faster on your clit giving you the perfect amount of pressure to send you back over the edge. Your eyes squeezed shut and head pressed back in your mattress as you orgasmed for the second time in the night. You can feel Sasuke's hips stutter as he fucks you through your orgasm, his pace quickening even more before you felt him stop and let out a low groan as he came inside you.
Your eyes shoot open as you smack his arm, "You did not! Not inside you idiot!" You shove him off of you as you quickly go to your bathroom that's connected to your room.
Sasuke chuckles to himself before letting out a small "oops." He sits himself up on your bed and gets himself dressed. He can hear you grumbling in the bathroom and the shower starting to run as he gets finished. He stands up and makes his way around your room walking to the door before his eyes laid upon picture frames on your dresser. He can faintly see pictures of your closest friends, some recent and some old but what catches his eyes the most was a picture taken when you were in the academy. It was when the top of the class got a picture taken and both you and Sasuke tied for number one. Both of you were upset that you had to take a picture together and it was evident on your faces. Your arms were crossed while glaring at the camera man and whoever had to have forced the picture and Sasuke was looking over to the side, his hand on his hip and looking as annoyed as ever.
Out of all the photos you put in a frame you put that one even as you hated him.
Hate. It's a funny emotion. Isn't it?

Scared To Live
They walked in silence until they finally reached her apartment. Sakura had cooled off during their walk and was much more relaxed by the time they reached her door. She turned to face Sasuke and looked up at him, despite her being in heels, she was still considerably shorter than him.

"Thank you, for walking me home." Sakura spoke softly, looking into his onyx eyes. Sasuke was expressionless as he looked back into pools of emerald. Her eyes shimmered beautifully under the moonlight, her pale skin was illuminated.

"Hn." Sasuke replied. He turned to walk away from the pinkette when she suddenly grabbed his forearm with her delicate hand.

Sakura had grabbed him before her brain could even process what she was doing. Sasuke's skin felt cool under her fingertips. He felt so strong, hardened to the world. She felt her stomach start to churn but the Uchiha didn't pull away, he allowed her to touch him.

"Wait," Sakura said, bringing Sasuke's attention back to her. He faced her once again and looked down at her, expectantly. A small blush crept to Sakura's cheeks under his intense gaze. Her eyes glistened up at him as she bit down on her full bottom lip. She looked beautiful.

"I just..." Sakura trailed off. She broke eye contact, feeling tense under his fierce gaze. Sakura looked down to where she was still holding onto Sasuke's arm. She loosened her grip but didn't let him go. "I just wanted to say, I'm glad you're back."

Sakura looked back into his dark eyes, her blush deepening. She didn't expect Sasuke to say anything, she just wanted to let him know how she felt, so when Sasuke took a step towards her, her heart began to race. He stood close to her, their bodies just a breath away from touching.

The pinkette internally panicked as Sasuke loomed over her. Her eyes widened at his actions and her cheeks burned with a blush. He finally moved his arm from under her grip as he brought his hand to brush against Sakura's silky pink locks. Sasuke allowed his hand to brush against her jawline and cup her cheek. With a calloused thumb, he stroked her smooth skin.

Sasuke began to slowly lean down towards Sakura's face. Her heart pounded through her chest and she desperately tried to control her breathing as the Uchiha inched closer. Suddenly, he leaned into her ear.

"I am too." Sasuke whispered. He pulled away from Sakura and glanced over her flustered face. He smirked at her and stepped away, his hand leaving the warmth of her skin. "Goodnight, Sakura."

With that, Sasuke left into the night, leaving Sakura very confused as to what had just happened.

Hi, I just love you writing 🥺 it's really amazing also I have a request reader ignoring Itachi and how would he react?!? I can't think of the reason maybe you can make something up 😃
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SYNOPSIS: It was supposed to be a day dedicated to you and Itachi, only, however a little child decided to want your attention more than his older brother's attention.
PAIRING: Uchiha Itachi x GN!Reader
WARNING(S): N/A
TYPE: Fluff
WORD COUNT: 1694
NOTES: So, I wasn't sure if this was supposed to be an angsty or fluffy request, but I decided to do a fluffy oneshot mostly because for some reason I'm just so obsessed with how cute and tiny baby Sasuke was. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!
Tumblr media
KNOCKING on the door, you stepped back from the welcome mat with a smile on your face as you waited for your dearest boyfriend, Itachi, to open the door. In a matter of seconds, you heard the clicking of the two locks attached to the door, and it opened inward, allowing Itachi to poke his head through the opening. Usually, his hair would be tied back in a simple ponytail, but today, he had his silky, raven hair out and splayed over his shoulders.
“You’re here early. I wasn’t expecting you until later, love,” Itachi spoke in his amazingly deep voice. He held the door open wider, allowing you to walk into his beloved home within the Uchiha compound. Immediately, you took your shoes off and gave Itachi a big and warm hug. “Well, this gives me more time to spend with you,” you replied, looking up at his ecstatic expression.
“My parents just left the house, so I have to watch Sasuke. But seeing as you’re here, we can both hang out with him,” Itachi said. You nodded and allowed Itachi to take your hand in his to show you the way to where Sasuke was. Seven year old Sasuke looked up from his ninja academy homework at the sound of footsteps, and his eyes brightened up when he spotted you entering the room. “Y/N!” he exclaimed, jumping up from his seat.
Sasuke ran up to you and hugged your legs, bringing out a laugh from you. You crouched down and returned the hug with your own warmth encasing the little boy, comfortably. After the quick five second hug, Sasuke pulled away from you and took your much larger hand in his tiny hand, beginning to lead to where he was sitting. Itachi, who was standing near the entryway to the room, crossed his arms and furrowed his brows at Sasuke’s sudden jump in mood.
Before you had arrived, the younger Uchiha was busily working on his homework with no care at what was happening around him. It was strange how his mood completely shifted gears upon seeing you, like he has not seen you for a couple of years.
Itachi shook his head and walked up to the pair, but before he could sit down next to Sasuke, the younger brother held up his tiny hand and puffed out his cheeks.
“I want lunch first!” Sasuke said, furrowing his brows at his older brother. You were puzzled at the scene playing in front of you. You have never seen Sasuke act in such a way, but seeing it happen first hand was tempting giggles to erupt from your mouth. “I gave you a snack five minutes ago,” Itachi mentioned to Sasuke, but the little boy wasn’t having it.
“My tummy is growling at me, and it hurts,” Sasuke whined. Itachi sighed and knelt down to Sasuke’s level. “Fine, but you have to behave yourself and ask nicely next time,” Itachi replied, reaching out with two fingers to poke Sasuke’s forehead.
Once that was said, Itachi got back up and made his way to the kitchen.
“Hey, Sasuke, I’m going to go help your bro—”
“No! Y/N! Please help me with my homework. It’s too difficult,” Sasuke shouted, holding out his notebook towards you, “Please?” This time, a light chuckle escaped from within you, and you nodded, not daring to say no to the precious child sitting next to you.
Up to fifteen minutes passed, and you looked up at the sound of footsteps coming into the room. A smile came upon your lips at the sight of Itachi walking up to the two of you with a tray in his hands. Resting on the tray were three plates of sandwiches and three glasses of orange juice. Itachi knelt down and set the tray on the table, and he attempted to sit next to you. However, in a quick second, Sasuke crawled to steal Itachi’s seat, prompting a confused expression out of the older Uchiha.
“Thank you!” he exclaimed, reaching for one of the plates. He took a big bite out of the sandwich and whilst his cheeks were puffed up due to the amount of food he took in, he looked up at Itachi with a closed eye smile. “Mmm, it tastes delicious, ‘Tachi. You really outdid yourself,” you commented as you also soon took a bite of your sandwich.
“I’m glad that you two enjoy it,” Itachi said in a slightly irritated tone. He sat down next to Sasuke, glancing over at you who seemed to enjoy the presence of the younger Uchiha. Itachi sighed and grabbed his own food, eating it slowly whilst listening to all the chatter happening beside him.
After the three of you finished your lunch, Itachi offered to clean the dishes to which you thanked him with a light kiss to his cheek. As soon as Itachi left, Sasuke groaned out in disgust at what he had seen transpire before him. You giggled and brought the little boy into your lap, looking down at the homework he has yet to finish. Together, you finished working on Sasuke’s homework with him just as Itachi had finished cleaning up the kitchen and washing the dishes.
“Y/N! Y/N! Can you show me your super awesome ninjutsu?!” Sasuke exclaimed, jumping up and standing in front of you with his hands raised above his head. You giggled lightly and looked over the little boy’s shoulder to find Itachi walking into the room with his arms crossed. The older Uchiha sighed and nodded his head, an indication to you to allow for you to show him your talent. “Sure thing, buddy. Shall we head out to the forest, then?” you replied, holding out your arms in front of you.
“Yes, yes, yes!” Sasuke shouted, walking up to you and allowing you to pick him up effortlessly.
— — —
By the time you were finished having a grand time in the forest by showing off some of your amazing ninjutsu skills, the mid afternoon light blue sky was replaced with an orangey hue as the sun began to set over the horizon. Due to the pure excitement of running around and trying things of his own, Sasuke ended up wearing himself out, and now, Itachi was carrying the sleeping boy on his back, holding onto him tightly. You were walking beside the brothers, and a little habit of yours prompted you to soft brush through Sasuke’s locks of raven hair, keeping it from interfering with his deep slumber.
The walk back to the Uchiha’s residence was the most silent walk you had ever taken, and it was slowly starting to confuse you. Whenever you and Itachi were alone, for the most part, neither of you would ever stop talking, it was like a routine for the two of you to confide in one another if anything were going on or just to socialize with one another. However, you were so blindsided by hanging out with Sasuke, it must have stirred something in Itachi, considering you were over to hang out with him and not his younger brother.
Once the three of you arrived back at Itachi and Sasuke’s house, you followed Itachi to Sasuke’s bedroom where you stood by the entrance, watching the older brother tuck in the younger one. He turned off the light and closed the door, not sparing a glance in your direction.
“It’s getting late. Let me walk you home,” Itachi quietly spoke with his hands stuffed in his pockets. You didn’t falter at all and quickly caught up to the Uchiha.
Soon, the two of you were walking along the paved gravel whilst the nightly moonlight poured into the navy blue colored sky. It didn’t take long for the two of you to arrive at your house, but before you decided to call it a night, you turned and stood in front of Itachi, looking at him with guilt.
“I’m sorry I didn’t pay much attention to you, ‘Tachi. It’s just… I’ve seen you overwork yourself to the point you have shut out Sasuke, and it felt like he just needed one day to feel wanted and acknowledged. I understand that with your new title in the ANBU that you’re busier than ever, but that doesn’t allow you to stray away from your little brother,” you spoke in a caring tone, reaching out to take Itachi’s hand in your own.
Your boyfriend looked down at your delicate hand encasing his own, and a soft smile perked up on his lips. He walked closer to you and wrapped his two arms around your body, bringing you in for a warm embrace.
Much like Sasuke, Itachi thrived in the light of attention, and he needed it just as much as his younger brother does. But after hearing you speak of such words, it settled in his mind that he truly could be focusing more on teaching and playing with Sasuke rather than wandering around with the rest of the ANBU.
“Do you want to come inside for a bit, ‘Tachi? To make up for today?” you questioned, hoping he wasn’t feeling too hurt. Itachi pulled away a little, bringing a hand up to caress your cheek with the same smile still implanted on his lips.
“Y/N, I hope you know that you are what both Sasuke and I needed in our lives. I know I work a lot, and I can’t be there for Sasuke at times. However, that’s where I can rely on you to fix my flaws and help me see things that I couldn’t see before. I don’t blame you for ignoring me the entire day because it is my fault it happened, but at the same time, it was wonderful watching you bond with Sasuke, even if I did feel a bit upset I couldn’t have you to myself for the day. At the end of the day, all that matters is that you are stuck with me, and I am grateful for having you in my life,” Itachi calmly said, now holding both of your hands, “Thank you for making my day.”

her brows knit together as she puts down her book and observes her boyfriend practically sway to the kitchen from her spot at the table.
"sasuke." the man turns towards his girlfriend, movement all sluggish and [name] is surprised she didn't notice his flushed look beforehand "oh gosh!" she's up in seconds with the back of her hand placed against his forehead.
"what are you doi-"
"why didn't you tell me you have a fever?" she inquires as she gasped at his burning skin.
"whatever, I just wanted some water." a pout involuntarily formed at his lips and [name] smiled at the sight due to his flushed cheeks giving him a cuter than usual look.
"baby, go rest, I'll take care of everything." she pat his chest and he looked down into her eyes, sniffing, before slowly nodding.

"baby, go rest, I'll take care of everything." she pat his chest and he looked down into her eyes, sniffing, before slowly nodding.
[name] placed her hands on his shoulders as she pushed him to bed, only letting go of the man once he was settled under the covers.
"give me a call if you need anything at all." she pressed a kiss to his forehead and sasuke scrunched his nose "ew."
"shush, you love my forehead kisses."
"no, I don't."
"of course, you do."
"just shut up and get me my water, already."
"no need to be so demanding, my dear." she shakes her head at him as her index finger wags at him in a scolding manner.
"can you get me tachi along with my water, please?" sasuke asks, politely this time as he gives you puppy dog eyes.
"see, that wasn't so hard, was it?" she pinches his cheek and pulls at it playfully and sasuke slaps her hand away.
"it absolutely was." he sasses "stop making me suffer, I'm sick."
"alright, I see how it is." she pulls away from him in a sulking manner and leaves the room only to return shortly after with a glass of water in her hand and a cute, fluffy black haired cat in her other.
"here you go, bitch boy." she hands him the water and completely ignores the way he's still holding out his hands to her.
"don't ignore me, you whore."
"I will do just that. tachi loves me more than you, isn't that right baby?" she asks the chubby cat which was yawning in her hold as she moved him to face her.
"he's literally so bored of you that he's yawning, give me my baby."
[name] sent her lover a glare before turning back to the cat "are you in on it with him?" she asks and watches as it crinckles it's nose.
"can't trust no one in this house." she huffs as she places him in sasukes open arms and fights the smile that's threatening to show on her face as she notices sasukes content look.
"you," [name] says out to sasuke as she walks to the door frame "go to sleep."
"don't tell me what to do, woman!" he calls after her but she merely ignores him as she knew he would comply with her words regardless.
he always did.

we await the floods
Read on Ao3
  For cherrytomoeto, by silentvoicescryingout
The sun is bright, the air warm and fragrant. The silence of the forest is hardly that at all; each second and the transient modicums in between are filled with ambient noise. Wind whistling through trees, water trickling over rocks. A bird cawing here, a wild hare snuffling through dry grass there. Creatures cooing, the earth singing its quiet, yet reverberant song.
In the midst of it all stands an imposing, lone creature. Tall, lithe and dark of mane, sharp-mouthed and fine-jawed. Eyes that glow deep red like burning embers.
“What brings you here, small one?” says the figure, voice rich and deep.
Sakura rises from her haunches, clutching her woven basket against her side. As she approaches, the light from the sun shining above beats down over her head, fractals of rose and gold reflecting off her pink locks, her honeyed face. Eyes green like the mountainside, green like the moss climbing up the trunks of towering trees settle first on the coastline and then upon him.
“I am small, among many things,” she says, casting her eyes over his face for a long moment. “Nameless, I am not.”
“Sasuke,” he offers, tipping his chin ever so slightly.
“Sasuke,” she repeats, full, berry-pink lips widening in a tiny smile as she dips her head. “Of the fire. The Fae King’s second son. I know who you are.”
“You do,” he says, blinking slowly as his red irises flicker over her face. “Who are you, then? Surely you stray far from home.”
“I am called Sakura,” she states, glancing away to peer at the small waves lapping against the sand. “And I am far from home.”
A small, dainty, bespeckled hand moves to lift the cloth resting atop the basket at her side. Spinly green shrubbery is revealed.
“I am here collecting these little plants,” she murmurs, voice soft, almost a coo as she runs her fingers lightly over the bristles. “Legend says that the best medicine could be found at the edge of the land, sprouting mere weeks before the floods.”
“And you would risk the journey and the waters for it?” Sasuke’s fine brow quirks, a quizzical glint in his eye.
They two, although separated by much distance, are both children of the Earth. It is impossible for them to cross moving waters (and how terrible would it be for the waters to cross them). Risk enough persists when one dares to even dip their toes in the swells.
Both have risked much coming to this place, daring to linger by the coast even as the sea prepares to swell.
Slender shoulders shrug, “The waters do as they must, and I know to keep my distance. I can mark the phases of the moons.”
“The waters obey no moon nor markings,” he mutters, a bitter note to the richness of his tone. “The floods come when they must, not necessarily when they should.”
“And yet you risk it,” Sakura smiles with another shrug. “I bet it’s not even for the best medicine in the world. Me , I will be helping many sick people by venturing so far.”
“Tch,” the whites of his eyes hide the red for a moment as they roll upward. “A healer, then. I should’ve known.”
“Pardon my station, great Majesty,” the elven woman responds dryly. “Pray do not burn me to ash where I stand.”
Another scoff is carried away by a strong gust of wind and Sasuke takes a long stride forward. The gentle tide laps mere inches away from his sandaled toes and as Sakura watches with a critical eye, his knees begin a slight tremble.
“The Fae must be in an uproar with their Prince away,” her soft voice muses.
“I go where I please.”
His legs start to shake in earnest. Green eyes bore into him as his chest rises and falls with each haggard breath.
“Ah, in that much we are alike,” she murmurs. Sasuke’s long fingers have curled into a tight fist. “Pray step away from the water, Prince.”
His eyes narrow until mere slits of blood-red irises are visible as he peers across the glittering waves, sunlight reflecting off his pinched features.
“Pray leave me to my solitude,” he mutters, but stumbles back a step nonetheless.
Sakura’s hands glow green and then they are pressed against his chest. Applying light pressure, she pushes him back one pace, then two, three. A coolness sinks into his over-hot flesh, a feeling like taking a seat in the cold, damp soil under the shade of a large tree after days of long-journey.
The aches of his body and his consciousness seem to slip away as they both sink to the sand. It is coarse, gritty against his palms but no more noticeable than the sensation that sweeps through him. Like a balm applied to his inside, it smooths over his muscles, below to the sinow, sinking deep (but soft, gently) into the marrow of his bones.
“The tide rises, Prince,” Sakura’s voice is weak and yet the wintry aura does not falter. “We must move elsewhere. It weakens you.”
“ You weaken me,” he slurs, eyes burning less brightly by the moment. A flickering ember rather than simmering coal.
“Come,” she breathes. Her small hands move to his shoulders, hauling him up to unsteady feet.
Her petite frame is bent nearly double under his weight, but she trudges forward.
Hours, she walks. Till sweat clings the fabrics of her clothes, and her breath burns icy in her throat. Yet her grip does not falter, her arms rigid with strain as she pulls them further and further away from the waters which siphon their strength. Sasuke is limp for much of the journey, hardly conscious until the distance between them and the shore is large enough that the sounds of crashing waves muffles.
The sun is falling steadily, but beats heavy still against Sakura’s brow as she crests a tall hill. A tiny hut sits deep within a cocoon of thin trees and hanging vines and it is at an overgrown path to the doorway that the elf falls to her knees.
“Small one,” Sasuke rasps. “Here you have weakened yourself and yet admonish me for the same.”
Pink strands spill toward the ground like silk when the fairy heaves Sakura into his arms. He stumbles the entire way up to the tiny abode, but keeps a tight grip on his passenger. Sweat beads at her temples, trickling slowly down the sides of her face and pooling in her exposed clavicle. The golden hue of her skin has turned grayish and wan.
There is a layer of dust on every surface inside and so Sasuke manages to cradle the small figure against his chest with one arm briefly enough to wave his hand and send a gust of air just strong enough to remove the thickest layers.
Her lips tremble and teeth begin to chatter as he lays her down upon the low-sitting, narrow bed in a far corner of the place.
“ Foolish elf,” says he, running his warm palms over her arms. “How can someone I’ve known for less than a day irritate me so?”
“Ah, such gratitude… for the one who has saved you,” her voice is weak but holds its snark. “And who is he that throws around the word fool after nearly diving in the ocean swells?”
Sasuke’s face hovers above her own and their gazes lock. His hands continue their motions over her goose-pimpled skin almost absently as they stare into each other.
“Your warmth has returned,” she murmurs.
“It is a good thing,” he scoffs quietly, applying more weight to his fingers as he strokes over the muscles of her arms, over the knobbed joints of her wrists. “Had it not, you would have collapsed and frozen.”
“I did not collapse the entire trek here,” green pupils peer at him through the narrowed slits of her eyelids.
“Another good thing,” he murmurs. “A thing I truly should show my gratitude for.”
“It is not necessary,” she breathes, flush returning to her cheeks. “Any other elf would have done the same.”
“Ah, kinder beings than mine,” he replies, voice low and rumbling. His skin burns hot, like a fever but not quite. “I shall thank you, nonetheless.”
Fae were well-known for many things, but above all their thanks. Self-sufficient creatures they were, and so rarely did they need to express gratitude; they were those that gave favor, hardly did they ever receive.
And so their thanks was a tangible thing, a gift bestowed only upon the special, the deeply appreciated.
“Are you familiar with the ways fae show gratitude?” he asks.
“I’ve heard tales,” she mumbles, staring as his face looms close.
Lips far softer than such a hard creature deserves brush lightly over her own. Pale pink lashes flutter as if taken by a breeze, and Sakura’s head lulls back against the flat and threadbare pillows. The rush of heat through her person causes deep pink to rise to the surface of her cheeks, for her pulse to quicken and her breaths to grow deep. No rejuvenating herb could have such an effect– she could have trekked down and up that hill again, three times, in this state.
“That was a fine thanks,” she huffs, sitting up slowly.
“Only the first one, for your company,” Sasuke says. “The second, for your labor.”
This time, his mouth presses firmly, his exhale seeping between the small space between her lips, sinking into the depths of her chest and warming it like a hearth. Large hands wrap around her waist, before one reaches to cup her cheek.
“A third,” Sasuke’s voice is gruff, his eyes soft and burning red like a blood moon, “for my life. Because who knows if I would have let the tides sweep me away on this day.”
Sakura’s mouth is soft and plush, tasting both of tangy herbs and sweet fruit. Her hands are dainty–they creep slowly from his chest, to his shoulders, to the nape of his neck. When his tongue dips inside to slide against her own, the soft exhale she elicits is cool like a sip of water from the deepest of wells.
They pull apart at the sound of clapping thunder, followed by the distinct patter of rain against waxy leaves.
“The floods,” she whispers. “They…are early.”
“It is safe here,” Sasuke murmurs. His lids rest low over his irises, gaze fixated on the warm flush about her mouth. “We must only wait until the waters pass.”
“That might take weeks, Prince,” Sakura shakes her head, fear creeping about the edges of her green orbs, darkening their hue. “And to journey around the area to my home…to your home-”
“I suppose home for both of us is here, then,” he remarks. No fire had ever glowed so bright as the one in his chest. “Until it is safe for both of us to return from where we came.”
The air feels heavy with a sense of timid anticipation, a slight foreboding. The waters are routine, but also unpredictable. It is unlikely the tides would climb so far up, but how long would they stay high and cover the land below this hill? How long would Sakura be far from her village and its forests, Sasuke from his kin and their fires?
“Sleep, small one,” Sasuke stands from the bed and sheds his long, inky-colored cloak. The fabric falls heavy and warm over Sakura’s waist. “I will ensure this place stays warm through the night.”
  ✣✣✣
Five days pass before the two reach a breaking point. The two stranger-companions attempt to make their shelter more hospitable. Sakura gathers the fabrics and washes them with water from an old well, refilled by her efforts to turn the soil deep below and reveal trickles of water from within. Sasuke sends gusts of hot air to force dust and debris out of the windows, through the open door. They stabilize the walls and ceiling, scrub at the dinghy floorboards and fuss at each other over temperature and ambience.
The towering, flame-eyed fairy would have them trapped in a dark, stifling heat day in and out. The petite elf prefers to leave the windows open to allow a whisper of cool breeze, to welcome the smells and sounds of nature in.
“You’ll freeze to your death if you do not draw these shutters,” Sasuke growls. His footfalls are heavy on purpose as he approaches where she stands, reaching around to tug the window shut.
Sakura hisses as he crowds her, her nose centimeters away from his chest, “Better than suffocating from heat and ash. Must you have a fire burning constantly ? We will run out of lumber soon enough.”
“Then you shall draw up more for us,” he says brusquely. The small creature before him vibrates, pointed ears burning red with frustration.
“ Oh , I do hope you are betrothed to an old, wrinkly hag,” she spits.
The scoff elicited in response is nasty at best.
“And who would be your betrothed? Some tiny little man with whiskers falling to his knees?”
“Not all elves are small!”
“And yet, you are the smallest intelligent creature I have seen,” as if to emphasize his point, the prince bends slightly at the waist to peer into her face. “Were you not so loud, I might tread on you by mistake.”
“I am loud, but I wager that is better than having the character of a stone,” Sakura retorts. Her arms cross tight over her chest.
She had shed her heavy dressings for a thin tunic to combat the heat Sasuke caused in the small shelter. It exposed much of her flesh in an irritatingly appealing fashion.
“This stone keeps you from freezing solid in the night,” Sasuke is deadpan, and he mirrors her stature.
“ Thank you, kind Prince,” she drawls with an eye roll so violent it is a wonder the green jewels do not fall from her head.
“If you intend to show your gratitude, at least do so properly,” Sasuke says.
With his arms crossed tight over his chest, his shoulders look broader, the muscles of his biceps sinewy and defined. His hair is long enough to brush his collarbones, locks swept wild about his head and falling haphazardly over one side of his face. The room feels small with him drawn to his full height and Sakura hates that she can feel the heat of him from where she stands.
“If you desire me, simply say so, Prince,” she snaps. “All this talk of thanks and gratitude tires me.”
A single dark brow rises and his jaw clenches tight.
“I desire you.”
“Your games exhaust me, truly,” Sakura steps around his imposing form and makes her way to the sorry excuse for a bed. “I feel not one ounce of guilt for you sleeping on the floor each night. If I must suffocate from the heat–”
“Sakura,” her name is nearly foreign to her for how little she hears it from his lips. A shiver crawls down her spine despite the heat of his breath behind her neck. “ I desire you .”
“You have been cruel to me since we began to shelter here,” she whispers.
“Have I been cruel?” he murmurs and now his palm is resting on her shoulder, heat seeping deep into her muscle, licking over the surface of bone. “Or have I disagreed with you on occasion?”
“Those things are one in the same,” she says, voice weak. His fingers are long enough to sweep over the flesh just below her collarbones, the heat of his body stifling as he draws closer.
“You have been the cruelest,” he breathes, grip tightening as his head lowers to level his mouth with her ear. “You lie inches away from me in the night, but do not allow me to share with you my own warmth. You shed layers of dress, but hide the best of you underneath such frustrating fabrics. Teasing, and taunting you are, but…”
Sakura’s mouth is dry, her voice hardly a rasp, “But?”
“But you do not want as I do,” he says tightly. “You do not suffer through a one-sided attraction. I am but a stranger taking up your space.”
“You speak so lowly of yourself, my Prince,” she mutters. “Perhaps a tonic for your mood.”
“Joke how you like,” he hisses and a shudder works through her at the way his chest vibrates against her back. “I will desire you no less, even as you annoy me so.”
Sakura can finally feel the chill of the night air as the prince rips away and stalks over to the old fireplace. She hears the deep exhalation and then the crackling and popping of embers. The fire roars to life, sending flickering shadows and licking silhouettes across the walls, but she still feels cold, freezing.
Sasuke lingers close to the hearth, unflinching as tiny sparks sprinkle across the skin of his feet and arms. A cool pressure at the center of his back pulls his attention away from the dancing flames.
“You have kept me warm each night,” Sakura says, so quiet it is as if he feels her voice rather than hears it. “And I should thank you for it.”
He turns, a scowl curling his features but is given pause by the shining of green that faces him. The shape of the flames dance across jade irises, cast shadows over high-set, freckled cheeks and plump, blossom-pink lips.
She beckons him and he bends so she can grasp his face, pressing her mouth to his. And he is lost, falling into her embrace as if he did not better her in size and stature. They sink to the floor, resting on their knees as small hands scrape through his locks and against his scalp, and strong, hot hands grip at her slender waist and full hip. Steam billows thinly between their mouths as their lips and tongues dance together, pulling and pushing, taking and giving in.
Sakura’s posture crumples slightly as her muscles tremble. Sasuke tightens his grip and guides her slowly to rest back on the floor, cushioning her head with one palm and cradling her back with the other.
Her fingers knot near-painfully in his hair and a small whimper spills from her mouth when he nips at her lower lip in response. He soothes the sting with a sweep of his burning tongue and then sucks it into his mouth with a deep groan.
“I could kiss you from sunrise till dawn,” he whispers, running his lips over her jaw, kissing at her ear before flicking his tongue at the pointed tip.
“Aren’t those the same, Prince?” she laughs. Her mirth turns into a shuddering gasp when he sucks at her earlobe before kissing wetly down her neck..
“The entirety of the day is what I mean, elf–from one sunrise to the next,” he chuckles. “And call me by my name, Sakura.”
“Sasuke,” she breathes.
“ Yes .”
His mouth covers her once more, pulling another whimper from her throat. His hand slips around her waist and slides slowly until he is palming her breast, kneading the flesh with a dizzying combination of heat and firm pressure.
“I wish to see you,” he rasps.
Sakura frees his hair from her grasp to tug at her gown with clumsy fingers. A shuddering breath expands his chest when her breasts are exposed to his gaze. He pulls back slowly, enough to kneel between her thighs and shrug out of his own tunic, before tugging her skirts away from her legs.
A deep flush rises from the top of her chest to her hairline when Sasuke grasps her knees and pushes them wide to stare down at her center. Her crevices are slick and plump with desire already.
“Bless the waters,” he chokes before lowering himself so his face is level with her stomach. He presses a deep, fervent kiss to her belly button before trailing his mouth lower, and lower still. “Bless them, for bringing you to me.”
“Pray they don’t rise high enough to submerge us now,” Sakura replies tremulously. The stroke of a wet, flexible appendage between her folds sends her squirming.
“There is no better place to drown than between your thighs,” he groans before kissing her intimately, his tongue lapping at her wetness and lips teasing the pearled nub at the peak of her mound.
A strangled moan spills from her lips before she catches them between her teeth, thighs trembling and flexing as she tilts her hips away from the hungry mouth, and rolls them back toward him incrementally.
“Be still,” he orders, voice thick and slightly muffled. A particularly invasive lick that takes his tongue from her clitoris all the way to her entrance and inside sends her bucking against him with a gasp.
The gasp turns into a sharp cry when the fingers gripping at her hip become unbearably hot for a fraction of a moment. Sakura is left reeling and panting at the residual sting as she stares down at the burning red eyes peering at her from between her legs.
“Still,” he repeats, keeping his eyes locked on hers as he treats her to another long, lascivious lick.
Any refute she has is swept away as the fairy feasting on her flesh doubles his efforts, sucking and laving at her with sinful abandon. One of his hands creeps down, a long finger pressing deep into her core, followed by a second before she can even wrap her head around the sensation.
His head pulls away ever so slightly as he thrusts the appendages into her at a building pace. A keening moan spears through the quiet and her hands fall to his head, pulling him closer.
“Wh-what manner of thanks is this, my prince?” she pants, words hitching with every stroke of his hand.
“The most pure form of gratitude,” he says, pinning her with his heavy gaze. His fingers curl on an outward stroke and her hips buck in his grip, rising just in time to meet his seeking mouth as he sucks at her again.
Climax rushes through her in an instant, and Sasuke seems to burn hotter for it. The heat is emanating off of his skin in waves, combating even the fire burning just alongside of them. Sweat slickens her flesh, trickling between her breasts and he catches it with his tongue as he crawls back up her body.
A tortured groan rips through his chest at the press of her cool hands to his bare abdomen. His trousers are kicked away in a rush, but he reaches for her slowly, drawing her shivering and glistening body to his chest as he rolls to his side. Small, slender fingers creep downward and brush lightly over the dampened tip of him before he grasps her wrist and loops it behind his neck. Brushing reverent fingertips over the smooth, silky skin of her calf, he grasps at her leg and notches it over his, aligning their hips and capturing her mouth with his in a searing kiss.
Rigid flesh sweeps over her soaked folds and they both moan deeply. One large hand spreads wide at the center of her back as the other grasps at her hip tightly, rocking her lower body such that Sasuke’s arousal slips against her, the head of him bumping against her pearl.
“I have desired you since the moment I first saw you, my prince,” Sakura breathes against his mouth, cupping the back of his neck with her hand and brushing the knuckles of the other against his flushed cheek. “My Sasuke.”
He smothers her with a kiss and a breathless moan she can feel , just as she can feel how he shifts their hips and lowers her slowly over his shaft. The muscles of her inner thighs tremble as her inner walls spread to accommodate his flesh. It feels like an eternity passes before her buttock meets the firm muscle of his thigh and they exhale deeply as one.
Sasuke gives her no chance to inhale before he is thrusting in and out of her, bottoming out deep inside with each sway of his hips. She is wrapped tight around him, sliding slick and heady and he feels as if his chest will burst, as if even he cannot tame his own flames as they roar in his chest, lick hot through every inch of his flesh and through his flexing muscles.
But then she is there, all cool, soft skin and refreshing breaths, cooling the simmering in his lungs and pulling him tight into her arms, between her legs. He sinks into her depths until he can drown himself no further, pulling back only to plunge in again. He rips his mouth away from hers to take the fleshy part of her shoulder between his teeth, panting steam from his nostrils and clutching at her with feverish palms.
Sakura clings to him as he pushes and pulls at her, knocking into her so forcefully her breath is taken and returned with each forward sway. When he begins chanting her name into the cradle of her neck, she digs her nails into his nape, anchoring herself as she tilts her hips against his onslaught, mimicking the passion of his movement to the best of her ability.
A slight adjustment of his flexing hand sends him careening against a spot deep inside that sets her mind reeling. Sharp pants and rough groans spill from his lips and she cries out, clutching at him as her body draws tight like a thread, a feeling like reaching a tipping point rising inside of her.
The thread breaks, the world falls away and she is floating, no, she is pinned to the earth, sinking into the soil and being wrapped up and pulled apart by deep-reaching roots, stretching her body to its limit until she finally snaps in a burst and a shrill cry.
Sasuke shudders violently against her and she is only just coming back to the present when she finds herself slammed onto her back, caged by his arms around her head as he drives into her, pistoning in and out faster than her body can keep up with as she weathers the aftershocks of her climax.
Green eyes stare upward, nearly cloudy with bliss and awe, locking onto his and Sasuke is burning, caught in the central blue flame of a supernova, melting into her so deep it would take an eternity to remove his remnants.
“Sakura,” he gasps once the breath comes back into his lungs. Her arms wrap tight around his shoulders and he buries his face into her chest.
They are lulled to sleep by the crackling sounds of the dying flame and the slowing of their own heavy breaths.
✣✣✣
Shallow puddles pepper the grassland, muddy divots already springing forth new plantlife. The tide is gentle against the coast, golden sand glittering under the increasing sunlight. A cool breeze tickles against their napes, blowing pink and raven strands into slight disarray.
“There are many small elven communities in the kingdom,” Sasuke says in a low voice, nearly overtaken by the whistling wind.
His face is drawn tight, reminiscent of how it was when they first happened upon each other. Features pinched and brows furrowed like the day he stood with toes dipping into the swells, his flames sputtering out in the sunlight.
A small hand reaches up, up until he is forced to bend. Just long enough for her to brush the pads of small fingertips over his jaw, bringing to life the softer expression she became so well acquainted with through many waning days and vibrant nights.
“I am needed,” Sakura replies with a tiny smile. “At least for a long while. No one else has the mastery over healing and medicine as I do. But…I will return here before the next flood season to gather my herbs.”
Her smile remains steady, even as the slightest tremble creeps about her words. Sand crunches lightly as the tall, lithe creature takes a step forward.
“It is my earnest hope that one day we shall be able to lie in each other's arms every sunset, every dawn” Sasuke murmurs, pressing too-warm fingers against his lover’s cool cheek.
A deep breath expands his chest, puffs hot over Sakura’s face. The edge of his lips tilts in a tiny smile and he moves his hand to prod the center of her forehead, a feather light tap.
“Until then, we await the floods.”
End.

Moving On...?
Pink locks and green apple eyes torment his mind at all hours of the day, when all he wants is to wipe them from his memory. And yet it seems the more Sasuke tries to forget about her, the more he can’t bring himself to.
It’s been three weeks since he returned from his journey of atonement, and in that time frame Sasuke came to wish he hadn’t returned at all.
Immediately passing through the village gates Sasuke makes his way to the hospital knowing Sakura would be there. Having sensed her chakra he’s able to deduce where her office was and knocks on her window. Sakura was the first person he wanted to see, and when she lifts the glass for him to enter Sasuke is greeted with an excited smile and a joyus “Welcome back, Sasuke-kun!”
However, his elation would be short lived when a man whom Sasuke does not recognize, with floppy brown hair and dark eyes, knocks on her open door to announce his arrival while he and Sakura are catching up.
“Sakura,” he says, looking between the two of them. “Are we still on for lunch?”
“Is it that time already?” she briefly glances at the clock on the wall. “I suppose it is. Keita, this is my good friend Sasuke-kun. Sasuke-kun, this is Keita, my…um…well we’ve been going out lately,” Sakura confesses without looking Sasuke in the eyes.
Sakura is dating someone?
Part of him feels as though he should respect that she’s choosing to put her own desires first, but the other part is hurt, angry even. Did she not understand what he meant by poking her forehead back when he left? He’s finally willing to open up and return her affection, and she chooses to find comfort in someone else? Just who is this man anyway? And why did she never mention him in any of her letters??
She stands up, “Anyway, we have plans for lunch,” she tells Sasuke. “Do you want to join us? I would love it if you two could –”
“Actually,” Sasuke interrupts and stands as well. “I should let Kakashi know I’m back.”
“Oh, then I guess I’ll see you around?” she asks.
“Hn,” he grunts. Sasuke honestly just needs to get out of that room, away from her and this newcomer so he can process what’s happening, ensure he didn’t get caught in some weird genjutsu. Walking through her office door, he passes by Keita, glancing at the man who’s roughly a few inches shorter than himself. He offers a nice smile to Sasuke, but the Uchiha doesn’t return the gesture as he continues to walk past him and down the hallway.
After meeting with Kakashi and cornering Naruto later that day, Sasuke learns that Sakura and Keita have been casually seeing each other for about a month, not long after she sent her last letter, and were set up by Ino. Of course Ino would have a hand in this, granted he knows she was only being a good friend to Sakura but that fact didn’t ease his crumbling heart. If only he had returned a few weeks sooner or sent any of those damn letters which now feel heavy in his pouch.
In the beginning Sasuke tried to act as if he’s unbothered by the knowledge Sakura is dating someone who isn’t him, going to the Team 7 reunion, training with her and Naruto, but the truth of the matter is that it does bother him. Everytime he looks at her, thinks about her, it feels as though his heart is shattering. Sakura is the only one he’s ever wanted to be with, to be by his side, and now that’s not an option.
The following days Sasuke did his best to avoid Sakura, keeping their meetings and conversations short, but he can see the hurt in her eyes when he suddenly announces his departure, declines invites to hang out, and doesn’t return her greetings.
He should have known better, he thinks, than to assume she’d wait until the end of time for him to get his shit together. It’s unfair to her, truly, to waste her youth on someone like him. Sakura deserves to have a partner who will make her happy, never make her cry or hurt her like he has. He needs to stop being selfish and consider what would be best for her.
Naruto invites Sasuke to train on grounds 3 on a Saturday evening, but he’s not into it today and the dobe can tell. “I can’t handle this anymore,” Naruto tells him. “You need to talk to her.”
“And say what?” Why didn’t you wait for me? I thought you would always love me, and I’m sorry I took that for granted. “Sakura has already moved on.”
“Listen, I think it’s more complicated than that,” Naruto sighs. “You have to understand that Sakura-chan hadn’t heard from you in over two years and didn’t know when you’d be returning. None of us did, Teme. Just be honest with her, tell her how you feel.”
“I can’t,” Sasuke shakes his head. “If she would rather be with someone else, then who am I to intervene?”
“Do you love her?” The dobe questions.
He glances at the ground with lips pulled into a frown, unable to answer, but it’s obvious isn't it? Otherwise Sasuke wouldn’t be avoiding her this adamantly. He loves her, been in love with her for longer than he’s willing to admit, that’s why this hurts so much for him. And yet despite all of it, he’d still do anything for her.
“Teme!” Sasuke looks up at the blonde only for a fist to connect with his face, catching him off guard.
“What the fuck!?” The Uchiha seethes, ready to retaliate.
Naruto shakes out his hand. “Shit, you’ve got a hard face!” he quips. “I think I might’ve broken your nose. You should get Sakura-chan to fix you up, she should still be at her apartment.”
“And what about you?” Sasuke asks, wiping the blood dripping from his nostrils. “Your hand looks bruised.”
“Yeah but I got Kurama, and unless you want to wait at the hospital I suggest you pay a visit to our very own medic.” Naruto exits the training grounds with a smirk, leaving his friend behind. In his mind Sasuke knows Naruto is right, he needs to talk to Sakura and clear the air between them. His feet start moving on their own, in the direction of her apartment.
Knocking a few times he flares his chakra to let her know it’s him, and hears a bit of shuffling from the otherside. The lock clicks and the door swings open, revealing the pink haired kunoichi staring at him with disbelief. She’s wearing a red long sleeve, off the shoulder top which stops just above her belly button and tight black pants, her hair is curled at the ends and make up is kept light and looks almost natural. She looks beautiful, and he would consider saying so if his breath wasn’t caught in his throat. But then realization hits him, she’s going on a date tonight.
“Sasuke-kun! What happened?!” she pulls him, lending him down the hall.
“Was training with the dobe,” he tells her.
“Ugh, you two always have to take it too far,” Sakura sits him down on her couch with her taking a seat on the coffee table in front of him. “If you look like this, do I even want to know how Naruto is?” She places her palms on his cheeks, leaning forward to examine the damage.
“He’s fine. A little bruised, but he made it out mostly unscathed.”
“Well your nose is definitely broken. It’ll only take a few minutes for me to heal,” pressing one hand delicately on the bridge, a light green glow begins to emit. “You might feel a bit of pressure.”
She’s so close that he can smell her strawberry perfume, finding the smell almost intoxicating. His eyes gaze into the jade he’s missed so much, watching her as she fixes him up. He’s an idiot, he believes, and needs to talk to her, apologize for avoiding her and clear his conscience, then no matter what her answer is he’ll accept it.
Sakura moves her hand away once she’s finished, “There. All done,” with the other still on his cheek, and Sasuke finds himself leaning into her touch. His eyes lower to her soft looking lips, wondering how they would feel pressed against his own, and it’s not until he hears her breath hitch does he realize he’s inching closer, stopping once their noses touch. “S-Sasuke-kun?” she whispers, his heart beating loudly in his ears that he almost doesn’t hear her.
Almost like she snaps out of her daze, Sakura pulls back, a rose tinted blush visible across her face, and stands. “I need to head out,” she says. “I have a date with Keita and I’ll be late if I don’t leave soon. I’ll walk you to the door.” Stepping away, she stops when his hand wraps around her wrist.
“Can we talk, please?” Sasuke quietly asks, looking up at her.
“I’m sorry, but I really need to go. Some other time?” Sakura pulls away from him and stands by the hallways leading to the door. “It was really nice to see you again though, we should get together sometime and –”
“Why didn’t you wait for me?” he blurts out.
Head tilting slightly to the side, she seems taken aback. “What?”
“Why didn’t you wait for me to come back?” Sasuke repeats himself. He stands up and takes a few steps towards her. “I just – I thought –”
“You thought what?” her tone is sharp, borderline insulted. “That I would wait around forever?” Sakura raises her brows and scoffs. “Sasuke-kun, I know your journey was important to you and I respect your decision to travel alone, but was it so hard to respond to even one of my letters? For over two years I waited for you to walk through the village gates again. For all I knew, you could have found someone else and I would’ve never known.
“So when Ino mentioned she knew someone who was interested in me and offered to set us up, I agreed, figuring it’s about time I finally let myself move on. That I at least tried. And guess what? I like Keita; he’s nice, respectful, and treats me well.” Sakura looks up at the clock on the wall. “I seriously need to go. Maybe now that you’ve decided to stop avoiding me, we can finish this conversation later,” she turns to walk down the hall, but halts at his next words.
“I came back for you,” Sasuke interjects, needing to get the words out in the open. “I came back to be with you. I never responded to your letters because when I tried, all I could write about was how I saw you in every little thing, and it was so overwhelming I didn’t know what to do. Trust me when I say I’ve never wanted to be with anyone who isn’t you and I never will.”
From where he stands Sasuke sees Sakura bring a hand up to her face, tremors running through her body, and hears small sniffles. She’s crying, the last thing he’s ever wanted to make her do again. “Sakura, I – I’m sorry,” he says in earnest.
“You need to leave,” she tells him and this time he does without hesitation.
He should’ve never listened to Naruto, Sasuke thinks laying in his bed and staring up at the ceiling two hours after leaving Sakura’s apartment. He should’ve kept bottling his feelings because now he’s made his situation with Sakura even worse. Perhaps he should’ve never returned, let her believe he moved on so she could’ve done the same, like she was trying to do. Maybe he should leave again, he considers, since he seems to be so good at it. Even if he never stops caring for Sakura, if he leaves the village then he’ll never have to hurt her again. She would probably be glad to see him go this time.
There’s a few knocks on his door, making him groan and roll his eyes at the thought of it being Naruto. Who else could it be at this hour? The hard taps persists, forcing him to get up with the intent of telling the dobe to fuck off because he’s in no mood to entertain him. However when he gets closer to the door the chakra signature on the other side isn’t Naruto, but someone he never expected to visit him especially after what transpired earlier.
Opening the door Sasuke finds the pink haired woman standing there, puffy eyes and still wearing the outfit from before, hating himself for still thinking she looks ethereal, and causing him to wonder if she came straight here after her date ended. He opens his mouth to ask why she’s here but Sakura brushes past, the sound of her heels clack against the floor, and walks into the main room of his place.
“I don’t know who you fucking think you are to just show up at my doorstep after weeks of ignoring me, knowing I wouldn’t turn you away because you were injured, and just drop all of that on me out of no where,” she starts chastising and swivels to face him, crossing her arms. Sasuke stops a few feet away from her, wanting to apologize for everything but lets her keep going uninterrupted. “I honestly believed I could finally move on. I thought I could grow to love Keita as much as I do you,” her voice begins to waver, losing the edge from earlier.
Sasuke feels guilty knowing once again he’s made her upset, but also catches the tense she’s using. “...you thought?”
“I ended things with him tonight,” she confesses. “I didn’t think it was fair to keep seeing him when I’m still in love with you. At least he seemed understanding.” Sasuke’s eyes widen, heart swelling at the knowledge she feels the same. Yet Sakura looks the opposite, dejected that after all this time she can’t move on from him. “Pathetic aren’t I?” she says bitterly, shaking her head. “Ino is going to give me an earful when she hears about this.” Tears start rolling down her face, Sakura bites her bottom lip and glances away.
Sasuke’s body instinctively moves on its own, wrapping his arm around Sakura and pulling her into his chest, his hand rubs small circles between her shoulder blades trying to bring some comfort. “You’re not,” he whispers into the crown of her hair. “You’re anything but pathetic.”
Hearing a muffled “annoying”, he narrows his eyes and looks at her.
“What?”
Jade irises meet onyx and amethyst, Sakura repeats herself more clearly, enunciating each word. “I said, ‘you are so annoying’.” She grasps his shirt and pulls him down, their lips crashing together. Once getting over the initial shock, Sasuke closes his eyes with his hand moving down to the small of her back feeling her smooth skin against his calloused fingers, and angles his head to deepen their kiss.
And over all too soon when she pulls away, letting go of his shirt to rest her hands on shoulders. Sasuke opens his eyes and it met with her flushed cheeks, as he assumes his are too, their panting breaths intermingling together in the aftermath. Pressing his forehead against hers, Sasuke kisses Sakura one, two more times before telling himself to be patient.
“I should probably go home,” Sakura breaks their silence. “I have work in the morning.” He nods in agreement, but doesn’t want her to leave just yet. He has lost time to make up for.
“Let’s go on a trip together, just you and me,” he says.
“Huh?” she pulls back to look at him fully. “What brought this on?”
Sasuke shrugs. “You used to talk about wanting to see the world, let me show you.”
“That was when we first became genin. You remember that?” she says with astonishment, and he nods.
“I didn’t act like it, but I was always paying attention to you,” Sasuke tells her.
“I-I don’t know what to say,” she’s blushing a little harder, and he can’t help but fall a little more for her. “I’ll have to talk to Tsunade-shisho and Kakashi-sensei about getting the time off.”
“You focus on Tsunade and I can talk to Kakashi.”
“Alright then,” Sakura smiles, a genuine one reaching her eyes that he hasn’t seen since he first came back to the village. She wraps her arms around him. “I missed you, Sasuke-kun.”
“Ah,” his lips curve up. I missed you too.
