HELLO!!! Hope you've had a great day!!
I've beeen having this thrist stuck in my head...hear me out...
Naruto sneaking into your room at night to fool around with you 🙈 but trying to keep quiet and not wake up your household??? Oof....SEND HELP SOS.
Wow this spoke to me on a spiritual level
~~~~~~~~~~~~
“What’re you—“
Naruto shushes you as he continues to slither in through your window. You sit up in your bed, watching him as he lands quietly on his face, way more gracefully than you’re used to for the boisterous blond. “Had to come see you… Missed you…” He murmurs as he crawls on your bed, his body hovering over yours without preamble. He’s already nuzzling at your neck, forcing your head back to give him access to the bare flesh there.
“Gotta be quiet, baby,” he mutters before beginning to trail open mouthed kisses over your neck, making you sigh in pleasure. “Don’t wanna wake anyone up, do we?”
The feeling of his lips has whatever questions or protests you may have had. His hands are already moving up from your hips over your breasts, and god with that low, raspy instance, how can you deny him?
You nod in agreement, and Naruto takes the invitation without hesitation. He nips at your neck before harshly sucking at the skin there, making you gasp and hiss, but he’s quickly shushing you with a kiss. His mouth presses against yours, hot and needy, and he doesn’t even bother working up from something slow and sweet. His tongue is quickly forcing its way into your mouth, and its all you can do to keep up. Just as your hands are threading into his hair, holding on for dear life, his hands are forcing their way up your shirt. His fingers quickly find your nipples, pulling and tweaking in the way that you like, and it has you mewling into his mouth.
“Quiet, baby,” Naruto shushes you, but you keep feel the way he smirks against your lips. He’s doing it on purpose. Does he *want* you to wake up the whole house?
“Want you,” you whisper, unthreading your fingers from his hair to try and grope him over his basketball shorts. “Wanna touch you…”
Naruto removes one hand from where its playing with your hardening nipples to grab both your small hands in his large one. He pins both your hands above your head. His movements are aggressive and rushed. He’s needy, *really* needy, and he doesn’t want to waste anytime.
“Nu uh,” he growls against your lips. “Don’t want foreplay… Wanna be inside you.”
The hand that’s no holding yours trails to your pj bottoms. He shoves them down and his fingers return to play with the string of your thong. You think he’s going to pull it down next, but he doesn’t bother. Naruto’s gotten his own shorts and boxers kicked off, and he only pulls your thong aside before he’s shoving his cock inside you.
You moan out instantly, but Naruto’s big hand goes over your mouth, muffling the noise. “Shh,” he hisses as he begins shallow, rough thrusts that have your breasts bouncing against the confines of your shirt.
“Be quiet…” Naruto grunts with another hard thrust, his head dropping down to the crook of your neck. “Be quiet, and. Just. Take. It.”
Each word is emphasized by his hips smacking into yours with such force that your head board is hitting the wall. All you can do is moan and whine behind his hand that’s forcing you to stay quiet.
“Take it, baby. Take my cock. *Fuck,* you feel so fucking *good.*”
Naruto’s the one who’s telling you to keep it down, but he’s making all the noise. His whispers are getting louder, the headboard hitting the wall with *smacks* now.
“Yeah baby. Good. So good. So fucking good… Fuck baby, I’m gonna cum. Do you want me to cum? Tell me you wanna cum!”
The hand over you mouth moves down to your neck, and his fingers wrap around it, squeezing.
“Y-yeah,” you gasp the best you can, your eyes rolling back as he angles his hips upwards. His dick hits that spot that has you seeing stars, and you’re practically begging now. “Yeah, baby. Cum. Please cum, I want it!”
You’re cumming as soon as the words leave your mouth, spasming and clenching around him tightly with a cry.
Naruto’s hips stutter against your own. They stop as he bottoms out, then pick up again. One, two, three more thrusts and he bottoms out one last time, hips resting completely against yours as he cums. You can feel him pulsing inside of you as spurt after spurt fills you up. The pulsing lasts seconds, and until it finally stops. Warmth fills you, and you can feel him beginning to leak around where he has you plugged.
Naruto is panting hard, catching his breath. He picks his head up finally to look down at you, and he gives you a sheepish, goofy grin, so different from the harsh, dominant figure he just was.
“Fuck,” he breathes out. You grin back up at him, but before either of you can say a word, a banging comes at your door.
Naruto freezes, eyes wide, as you flush with embarrassment.
“Can you both be quiet!”
Hello! Im not the pimple request anon but can I ask for Neji and Shino too? I also go through periods where I get addicted to those videos, they are so satisfying 😂
Part 1
A/N: I know its been a long time but here it is. Part 1 (Kakashi, Itachi & Madara)
Naruto Characters & Reader Popping Their Pimples
Obito
Tumblr media
Obito will be so surprised that you just don't let them be.
He'll be more excited than you to do all this. He will be asking a lot of questions and to your excitement, you will be happy to answer all of them.
Even if you make a mistake he'll take it down as a "don't" in the little mental list that he is creating.
The next time he'll do it will be when you'll be sitting right next to him. He'll want to show off to you how he paid attention to all of that and is basically an expert now.
But once you tell him that YOU like to do it he will let you know and may even let you in on a few tricks that he figured out himself!
Naruto
Tumblr media
At first, he'll be excited about it as well. Just like Obito, he had no clue that this was a THING.
So he'll lie down, bring your all the things you'll need. But as soon as you apply rubbing alcohol to his pimple and it starts to sting he'll sit right up, "YOU NEVER TOLD ME THAT IT WAS GONNA HURT."
You tried to laugh it off and said that this hurts because of the alcohol and only this step hurts.
The poor guy believed you but when you squeezed it, he was in the other corner of the room, "I think it is better if we let it be." with a "YOU LIED" face hahaha it'll be so funny that you won't be able to stop laughing.
Although your puppy face is all he needs to endure all the "Pain". Even though his training hurts like 100X times he'll be so sensitive which will be the funniest thing for you to watch.
Secretly you made a video that you showed to Sakura.
Sasuke
Tumblr media
He'll be disgusted right from the start. First of all, he doesn't even touch it why would he let YOU touch it?
But after you gnaw at him for HOURS he will let you do it.
Still, be very disgusted the entire time.
Once it is all done and you asked him to take a look in the mirror he denied it and went on with the day to get rid of all the weird feelings that process gave him.
But when he'll see the mirror later he'll be a little impressed and might ask you to do it again depending on how bad it is. If it is too bad he'll NEVER in the world would let you touch it. Not because he is insecure or anything but he just hates the entire idea.
Neji
Tumblr media
Just like Sasuke, he'll be against the whole idea.
But unline Sasuke he WILL BE insecure about it which is why he is insecure about it.
What if you came closer and realized how bad it actually is. Because let's be honest, Neji is the sort of guy who must be very hygienic and cautious about his looks even if he doesn't show it but I can imagine that he does a lot.
So the fact that you even noticed that he has a pimple made him a bit insecure.
But once you said, "What is wrong with it, you too have them and it is better to get rid of them rather than them leaving a mark later." He was a little convinced.
But was asking you to be very careful while doing everything.
Shino
Tumblr media
He won't be against it but might feel a bit uncomfortable because after the whole process is done he cannot let his insects touch it.
He never stops them from anything but this was a bit odd for him.
He will be his quiet self as you start but just like Naruto, he'll jump out of his place as soon as it stings.
"You said it won't hurt." he'd say without sounding angry even though he is a bit caught off guard.
He'll still agree to do it since you want him to. But would complain a lot like a baby.
Part 1
Okay this is a very *spoiler* draft of a *future* chapter of my Isekai OC x Naruto fic called "If It Kills You" that may go through changes in the future. I just like to write future chapters when I'm having writer's block/procrastination lol. Here it is! Pairing: Uchiha!fem!OC x Naruto Words: 4831 NSFW -- it gets a lil zesty ________________
"Happy Birthday, Naruto!" The dark haired Uchiha smiled brightly at her best friend, kneeled down in front of a cake on his coffee table.
The blond stared at her from his front door in surprise and astonishment. No one had remembered Naruto's seventeenth birthday today, and he didn't even think Kotone had remembered. But she did.
Naruto expected to come home to an empty apartment with no family to greet with. Normally, Iruka-sensei would treat him to some ramen but his academy teacher was dealing with the flu and was overwhelmed with grading, so that was postponed. He had expected to simply eat a depressing cupcake with a candle he bought for himself before going to sleep like every other ordinary day. He didn't expect much, even though Kotone had remembered in the past, she had already gone through so much lately. So many things have been happening with the constant threat of the Akatsuki, Kotone’s recovery, Sasuke, the village attack…
But here was Kotone, his precious friend with a cake that he knew for sure was homemade. Even with all the issues he knew the girl was dealing with, she was right here in his home with a smile as if everything bad never happened.
Before he could collect himself, tears rolled down his warmed cheeks as he sniffled.
Kotone looked at him, surprised, "Naruto…?"
Naruto quickly wiped away his cheeks with the sleeve of his jumpsuit, feeling slightly embarrassed having been caught so vulnerable.
Kotone quickly got up from her spot on the floor and met him halfway in his room. She smiled, her purple eyes a bit somber at seeing her friend cry right in front of her
"It's okay to cry, Naruto. Especially after all the times I've cried in your jacket, I think I have to pay up to you somehow," she joked.
Naruto smiled warmly, "It's fine, I'm just really happy, ya know? I've never really had anyone to celebrate my birthday with other than you. I'm glad."
Kotone felt her cheeks warm up a bit, grabbing Naruto’s calloused hand to sit him alongside her in front of the cake. The cake was a two-layered circular cake with white icing as a base. It was decorated with black and orange Uzumaki symbols, a design she had made out of dyed white chocolate. "Happy Birthday Naruto!" was written with bright orange lettering on the center of the cake. Three orange and black striped candles were placed in an arch above the message. Kotone was proud of her work, the cake looked like it was professionally made.
She grabbed the pack of matches from underneath the table, swiftly dragging the match across the side of the box before lighting the candles.
When Naruto finally collected his composure as he watched Kotone light the candles, he noticed her. He saw her.
Naruto noticed the dark purple dress she wore, which was just about knee length. It had a low square neckline and was covered in lace that was a lighter shade of purple that matched her eyes. The lace extended across her shoulders up to her wrists, the skin showing underneath. The lace had a slight sparkle to it as well, which gave a nice touch to the overall style.
The blond also saw that Kotone’s eyelashes were a bit darker, contrasting against her light skin tone. She was wearing black eyeliner and mascara, which complemented the pink gloss she wore on her lips.
Her long dark hair was fully let down, some strands framing the sides of her face. She looked like a princess.
Naruto's breath caught in his throat when he realized she dressed herself up for him. She considered his birthday a special enough occasion to put effort into her appearance. While Kotone honestly didn’t need to do anything to alter her appearance for him to love her any more than he already did, the thought made his chest warm and his stomach twist in knots. While he knew Kotone did like to fancy herself up for special occasions, she was the type of person who tended to be a bit more practical and he knew that if she put in effort, there was an ulterior reason behind it. It seemed a bit too good to be true for Naruto, though.
He sometimes wondered if Kotone would ever reciprocate his feelings, and there were some days where he wanted to tell her bluntly that he loved her. But Naruto was scared. The jinchūriki was scared of ruining one of the best friendships he's ever had. He was scared of losing the one person he loved the most.
But then he remembered all the good times they had together. Kotone always put her friend's wellbeing over her own. Their relationship was different compared to others. It was closer, more intimate. A tragedy brought them closer than ever, Kotone became her near-most vulnerable self with the blond ninja.
Naruto knew that Kotone was keeping certain things to herself, but he was fine with the current vulnerability that she shared with him. He felt honored to be the one that she trusted the most.
Kotone Uchiha made Naruto feel like he mattered. She was the only one who believed in his goal of becoming Hokage, she was the only one who believed in his capability to be strong. She was the first person to give her full respect and care for his well-being. Naruto felt like he was her one and only and he loved her for it. He loved Kotone for her kindness, ambitions, friendship, and generosity. There were so many qualities about her that he loved that he couldn't find any words to describe how and what he exactly loved about Kotone. He loved all of her.
She always cheered him on in full confidence, even before he defeated Pain and proved his worth to the village. Every time Naruto felt bitter about not getting respect and recognition until he saved the village, he thought about Kotone to feel better. And it worked. Naruto always felt guilty about feeling this way.
He was ridden with guilt over Kotone dying when she tried to defend him from Pain. For the next several weeks he kept having nightmares about her death, her lifeless eyes staring back at him as her final breath left her body. He remembered how he felt the moment she passed. He felt like a part of him died. Even after gaining control over the nine-tails, Naruto had a very difficult time holding back his rage when he found Nagato.
Naruto finally experienced the pain Kotone felt. He knew he did. It was an unimaginable agony compared to when he found out “Ero-Sennin” or Kakashi died. Naruto didn't even know how he would have coped with her death if Nagato hadn't sacrificed his life for the deaths caused by the attack.
And when he finally saw Kotone again in her designated tent, a bit beat up but alive and well, he lost it. He embraced her, Kotone just as eager to hold her best friend in her arms as well. They held each other for what seemed like hours, too comfortable to let go.
Kotone finally lit the third candle, waving the match in her right hand to put out the small flame. She locked eyes with Naruto’s. Glazed over ocean eyes locked onto hers.
"Naruto? Are you okay?"
His blue eyes snapped in focus. Naruto smiled sheepishly, "I'm okay."
Her frown turned into a smile, "Alright, make your wish!"
"Not even a birthday song?" Naruto asked a bit jokingly.
Kotone's pale cheeks flushed red in slight embarrassment, "I don't know, I feel a bit put on the spot with just me singing. It's kinda awkward."
Naruto decided to be a bit bold, "Eh, maybe, but I like your voice. It's pretty."
Her eyes widened, not expecting him to answer her like that. Pretty? The way he looked at her when he said it with a slight smirk on his face felt like she was being flirted with.
Her chest tightened and her stomach twisted, "Ah… thanks."
Naruto grinned at Kotone’s response, "No problem!"
Kotone watched the blond look at the cake before lowering his face a bit closer to the flames, pursing his lips to extinguish the candles.
Afterwards, Naruto looked longingly at the cake as Kotone picked up the serving knife to cut slices for the both of them. After placing one good sized piece on a paper plate, she placed it on the table in front of Naruto.
The cake had a strawberry and raspberry cream filling in between the white cake layers. Taking a fork and cutting a good piece from the slice, Naruto took a bite of the cake.
The cake was heavenly.
A long night of chatting and eating cake together made the night go fast. Kotone looked at the time from the clock on the wall and realized it was already past midnight.
It was one of those nights where they were both starting to get tired, causing them to have more and more ridiculous conversations as time went by.
"Do you ever get impulsive thoughts that make you think about doing ridiculous things to strangers, even if it doesn't make sense?"
Naruto furrowed his eyebrows in confusion at the girl slouched against the couch next to him and shook his head.
Kotone sighed, thinking up examples. Her eyes lit up, "Oh! Like sometimes I think 'What would happen if I randomly slapped this person right now?' Or if I randomly hugged or said something weird to someone? You get what I'm saying?"
Naruto’s expression lit up in understanding, "Ah, just like getting the urge to jump off a cliff even if you don't want to?"
The dark haired Uchiha nodded.
He hummed in agreement, "I guess so. Never thought of doing something specific like that, ya know?"
A pause.
Kotone smirked, "Ah, how’s your progress with Sakura-chan going? You still like her, don’t you?"
Yea, it stung a little to be reminded that she wasn't going to be that person, but it is what it is. He was meant for Hinata, and if Kotone’s presence messes up the course of nature, then at least Sakura could be used as back-up.
Naruto blushed, thinking of a certain female Uchiha instead, "No, actually. Not anymore."
Huh. That's concerning. She was sure that the protagonist still had a thing for Sakura through the fourth war.
Her thoughts got cut off by Naruto's lowered voice, "Have you… ya know, liked someone before?"
His tan, whiskered cheeks were a bit more flushed than usual. His blue eyes stared at hers, almost as if he was looking for something while acting as if he just asked her a simple question about the damned weather.
Kotone was many things, at many times even a bit stupid, but she was no fool. This wasn't the first confession she's had. The past life experiences with romance caught up to her for this moment for her to realize something she never noticed until now. The body language gave it away.
Naruto liked her back. Everything made sense now – the meaningful glances, the slightly flirtatious remarks, the way Naruto seemed to just treat her so differently compared to everyone else.
How was she this blind? Their dynamic was so different and intimate and yet Kotone didn't want to accept that maybe her feelings were reciprocated. This was also unfair to Hinata and could mess up the course of things, on a grand scale.
She was in love with the main protagonist. And she tried ignoring it. Tried pretending it was just a silly crush she developed. Tried to convince herself that it was all in her head just because they were closer than anyone else amongst their social circle.
And this scared her. She probably had to pretend she didn't like him for the sake of the timeline. Or what if she decided to be honest and was wrong and humiliated herself and made things weird and awkward and-
"Kotone-chan? Are you okay?"
Naruto looked at her lavender eyes, worried that he might've gotten too personal with his question.
Her cheeks flushed pink in embarrassment, "Uh… yeah? I was just trying to think but I don't think I've had anyone I've felt romantic for." She mentally slapped herself for making her answer sound like a question. Gods, Naruto could probably tell she was lying and could see right through her inner turmoil.
Feeling both relieved knowing that Kotone didn't like anyone else but disappointed that she didn't like anyone at all (himself), he sighed.
"So you've never kissed anyone before?"
Kotone shook her head, "Nope," her frown turned into a small smile, "But when the opportunity comes, you could probably give me some tips from your experience with Sasuke."
Naruto almost gagged, his face turning bright red, "It was an accident! I swear, ya know!"
She snorted, "Okay, okay. It's just too easy to tease you about that."
He whined in embarrassment, "Kotone-chan…!"
Kotone gave the blond a cheeky grin before she sat herself up on his couch, laying her head back against the wall as she stared up at the ceiling.
She didn’t really expect the next words to come out of her mouth, “Is there anyone you’re interested in right now?”
It seemed like they were dancing around the topic. Naruto looked up at her from his spot on the floor, almost as if he was trying to test the waters, “You could say I might have a thing for someone.”
Her mouth became dry and her face heated up as her heart raced up into her throat.
“You know, I hate beating around the bush. But it feels like you’re implying something here and I don’t want to sound like an idiot for it-”
“Then say it, Kotone-chan. I won’t judge you for it.” Naruto stared intently at Kotone, almost challenging her.
She looked down at her hands, anxious, “It… can’t be me.”
Kotone looked back up at Naruto in a moment of bravery, but nearly lost it at Naruto’s look of despair.
He smiled the type of smile that didn’t reach his eyes, like he was accepting defeat, “I understand. I’m glad that you know how much I care for you and I always will.”
She felt her hands shaking. She wanted this. She wanted this so bad, but it wasn’t right. It wasn’t right to Hinata, to the future, to everything she worked so hard for. Kotone didn’t deserve a happy ending like this. She was here by accident. Kotone was never made to be with Naruto, and she needed him to know that. Kotone was an imposter. A mistake.
“Naruto… you need to get over me. I want you to move on, find someone to love, get married, have kids if you want, and live a peaceful life. But that can’t be with me.”
Naruto furrowed his eyebrows, “Kotone-chan, I can’t and never will get over you. And I’m fine with that. I’m fine with being alone for the rest of my life if you’re not in it. So don’t tell me how I should feel,” Naruto gripped the front of his shirt, trying to enunciate his point, “It’s not something that’ll easily change. You know me. I never go back on my word.”
The Uchiha looked at him in disbelief and shook her head. She wanted to cry.
“But you don’t know me, Naruto. There’s so many things you don’t know about me. How could you say something like that? How do you know what you’re really feeling?”
He smiled, a look of absolute admiration across his features. A look Kotone was familiar with from her past relationships.
“I know you’re hiding a lot of things from everyone, including me, but I would like to know when you’re ready. Maybe then you’ll have your answer. Maybe you’ll never tell me. But that doesn’t change the type of person that I see in front of me right now, ya know.”
Kotone couldn’t put a finger on the reason why she suddenly felt so angry and wanted to deepen the wound, “I’m the reason Jiraiya is dead. I’m the reason Asuma is dead. I could’ve stopped Sasuke, could’ve told him monumental details that would’ve brought him home, but I didn’t. I’m not the person you think I am, Naruto.”
Naruto looked confused, and worried at the same time. Did Kotone really blame herself for things that were out of her control? Even if she somehow knew the future, he trusted that Kotone’s judgment was for his and everyone else's sake.
His eyes glinted knowingly, “Kotone-chan, there’s nothing you could’ve done-”
"I vaguely remember a bit of the conversation we had right before I woke up from when my mind was stuck in that torture seal," blue eyes widened at Kotone’s confession, "You know, don't you?"
Naruto held his breath, having been caught for not bringing this up to her. "You were already going through enough as it was recovering… and I trusted that you would make the right choice, ya know?"
While feeling a bit conflicted, Kotone knew the poor jinchūriki was only trying to help with the purest intentions. She brushed it off with a sigh, "I wish you would've told me sooner, but it's fine, I guess.”
Kotone paused as she let her thoughts sink in, “What did you see? When you were inside my head?”
“The memories you had from your past experiences… it was like I was right there, in real time,” said Naruto as he crossed his arms behind his head and leaned back against the couch.
“You were speaking a weird language I couldn’t understand, ya know, but judging from what I saw I was able to have some sort of idea of what happened. A lot of what I saw were…” Naruto stopped himself, not knowing how to best describe the events in the easiest way possible.
Kotone cut him off, “So you saw me. How I used to look back then. And I’m assuming you saw a lot of my trauma, right?”
Naruto nodded, his expression taken by a gloomy overcast.
“I remember… begging you not to tell anyone about this. About what I know of what’s to come,” Kotone paused, almost frightened by the next words she would utter. It took a couple tries as she opened her mouth to speak, yet she couldn’t produce a single sound. It was as if all the fears she had were finally crashing down on her, and she couldn’t do anything to stop the wave.
She pushed through, “I know you saw me reading about you. Your story before it even began. Of how I had the knowledge about so, so many people’s deaths and tragedies I could have prevented. And I lied and kept this secret from you all these years.”
By the time she finished her sentence, her tears started trailing down her cheeks. Naruto clenched his fists, seemingly angry as he looked down towards the floor. Kotone knew at this point that he definitely felt betrayed by her now. It was only a matter of time until he would throw his love for her out the window.
That was what she wrongly assumed, as Naruto suddenly got up and put himself on the couch beside her, and grabbed one of her hands between his own.
“Naruto…?”
His eyes were glossy with a fresh set of tears, “You were suffering this whole time. Please, let me help you so you don’t have to be alone anymore. I don’t want you holding this burden on your own. You’ve been helping me with my burdens, and I want to help you with yours. I… feel angry at myself for not having noticed what you were going through sooner. ”
Why? Why did Naruto care so much about her when she basically lied to him and used him? She didn’t deserve him.
She sniffled, “You? A burden? If anything, I’ve been burdening you with all my problems.” Which was true, after all Naruto was the one who literally helped save her, took care of her, watched out for her every second of her recovery. All while having just found out that Kotone wasn’t entirely who she said she was.
Naruto gave out a dry laugh, “I saw you die right in front of me, Kotone. You could’ve died because of me. You knew you didn’t stand a chance against Pain, and yet…” You sacrificed yourself for me. Naruto felt his chest tighten in agony, almost as if he were choking on the images of a dead, glossy-eyed Kotone.
Naruto’s shoulders shook as he gripped her small hand tighter in between his, the warmth enveloping her hand.
“Naruto… I’ve been meaning to ask, but I wanted you to tell me yourself. When you defeated him… you didn’t just use your rasengan, did you?”
Kotone didn’t recall a lot of things, but she did remember that Pain was originally dealt with swiftly before Naruto tracked down Nagato in the anime. But when she saw him in person… his knuckles were split open and stained with blood. Badly. There was something off about the look in his eyes, like there was a hidden darkness that could potentially take over.
Naruto looked down, hair cast over his eyes as if he were trying to hide himself in shame.
“After all that time I spent talking to Nagato… I lost it. I beat him. I punched him, over and over. And he let me. And… it felt good. In the moment, it did, ya know. Eventually I just stopped and became even more miserable knowing that you weren’t going to come back.”
Kotone parted her lips in shock, not knowing how to process the information. This was nothing like she remembered. She remembered a Naruto who was able to hold in his hatred in honor of Jiraiya, and used the power of his peaceful words to save the village.
“After I was able to calm down, I somehow was able to talk Nagato into saving the village. He almost didn’t change his mind. I don’t know what I did, but it worked,” he finished. Naruto sighed, looking back up at Kotone with a sorrowful gaze.
Kotone gave the Uzumaki a small, comforting smile, “It must’ve been hard for you. But don’t feel bad for yourself, we all have our ugly moments. And I literally just died. I can’t even imagine how I would’ve reacted if it was you instead of me.”
At this point, Naruto and Kotone were both leaning against each other on the couch, tired yet lively enough to talk about the elephant in the room. Kotone told him all sorts of things from her past life including the different types of innovations, politics, war, culture.
“Ne, who was your favorite character from my story?”
Kotone flushed a little, “Well… I liked Kakashi-sensei a lot.” She really didn’t want to bring up the fact that she might’ve had a bit of a crush on him, too. Now, of course, she just saw Kakashi as her teacher or even a family member of sorts.
Naruto frowned in disappointment, “Hmm… Kakashi-sensei, eh? I wasn’t your favorite character?!”
“Hey now, I fancied you a lot as well. I thought you were very inspiring. And funny. You showed a lot of resilience that I wish I had back then.”
Naruto raised an eyebrow before giving a small grin, “And who's your favorite character now?”
Kotone hummed, “You, probably. But I'm afraid you're a close second to Shisui-nii.”
Naruto’s grin grew wider as his cheeks flushed, “Really?”
She nodded, “Duh. You're my best friend. And you were always there to support me after my rescue. I was a mental wreck and was too scared shitless to even sleep in the dark.”
Kotone turned her torso to face Naruto, smiling at him in appreciation, “I don't deserve your friendship, and you are there for me anyway.”
Choosing to use actions over words, she quickly placed her right hand behind Naruto’s neck and brought him closer as she leaned over to give the blond a hug.
“Thank you.”
Naruto immediately froze. Unlike other times, they were now truly alone in the comfortable silence of his apartment. Her embrace was warm, and he felt the heat emanating from her soft hand on his neck to the warmth that radiated from her torso. The heat made the blood in his sternum pump rapidly as he carefully placed his left hand on Kotone’s upper back and his right hand on her lower back. With the way they were situated on the couch, Kotone was practically leaning most of her weight on top of him. He could practically smell the mixed scent of cherries and roses with their close proximity.
Feeling the reciprocated touch of his hands on her back, Kotone blushed, realizing the type of act she initiated after Naruto confessed to her. She was only grateful that her face was hidden from his sight over his left shoulder.
Fully processing her words, Naruto finally responded after a long pause, “Ya know, you don't have to say that about yourself. Whether you think you deserve other people's friendship and happiness.”
Kotone pulled herself slightly away from him to look him directly in the face, “Naruto, I am a terrible person. I'm selfish. I'm the last person that–”
The blond repositioned his hands on her shoulders as he told her firmly, “You deserve everything, and I don't care what you say about yourself because I'll always stick to my word. I'll do anything to make you happy.”
She gaped at Naruto in shock. “What?! I've done horrible things. How can you keep saying that?!”
In a moment of confidence Naruto blurted out, “Tell me every terrible thing you ever did, and let me love you anyway!”
Kotone’s purple eyes widened at Naruto’s audacity. Her heart leapt into her throat as she processed his words. Naruto himself gaped at his own words, furiously blushing as his thoughts raced at a million miles per minute.
“I mean, uh… I-I don't know,” Naruto stuttered as he averted his gaze away from the very close girl in front of him. His hands awkwardly dropped from her shoulders.
He nervously looked back at Kotone, noticing how both of their faces were pretty close to each other. Kotone continued to stare directly at his face, eyes dropping down to glance at his lips.
With her raw emotions getting the best of her, she slowly drew her face in closer to Naruto’s, breath fanning over his own. His lips were slightly parted as he struggled to think clearly. Inching closer, she lightly brushed her lips over Naruto’s before giving him a light, tentative peck.
Naruto’s lips felt like they were tingling at the sensation, and he knew he was hooked on her touch. Kotone lightly kissed him again before shifting her position to straddle his lap as he laid back on the couch.
His hands lightly touched the sides of her waist as he reciprocated the kiss. Kotone had her right hand placed over his chest while the other held the back of his neck.
Kotone pressed her weight into him, kissing him with a fervor she didn’t realize she had. Naruto lightly sighed, feeling the pressure of her lower half against his hips. Kotone’s dress rode up her thighs, dangerously close to revealing  His entire body felt very hot and his pants started to uncomfortably tighten. Kotone moved her right hand to unzip the collar of his jacket, fully opening it to reveal bare, taut skin underneath. She traced her hand on his pecs which caused him to slightly shudder. Slightly pulling away, she left a trail of open-mouthed kisses across his jawline and down his neck. She gently nipped his skin before dragging her tongue along his clavicle.
Naruto gasped at the new sensations, gripping the sides of her waist tighter and trying to create more friction between their lower halves. His better judgment wanted to stop this before things went too far, but his thoughts were too foggy by thoughts of Kotone’s exposed thighs tightening around his waist. His thoughts raced of how much he wanted to risk it all and wished things would go further–
Kotone immediately froze, breathing heavily against his neck. In response, Naruto also froze. The Uchiha moved her face to look at his blue eyes in shock.
“Oh my god. Oh my god.”
Kotone jolted right off from Naruto’s lap, embarrassed. In her rushed motion to do so, she accidentally kneed him in the groin, causing Naruto to yelp in pain as he placed his hands over his sensitive crotch.
“Oh god, I’m sorry! I’m so sorry,” Kotone repeated out as she pulled her dress back down to make herself look somewhat decent.
Naruto swore in pain as Kotone cringed in mortification. _____________ That's all I have written so far :)) I added the ending since it's so relatable for me personally, I'm always accidentally hitting my boyfriend's crotch lmao
“Papa....” Umeko quietly whimpered, gripping onto her fathers pantlegs in fear. She didnt wanna go to school!voice squeaked out. Satoru looked down at Umeko and sighed, his eyes were red and puffy under his blindfold.  “Umeko, what's wrong?” He asked in A gentle voice squatting down to be next to her. Usually Satoru was the type of Dad to be constant fun, he wasnt the best with emotional support. But he couldnt cop out anymore, Kei was gone. And he had to step up.
Umeko jumped into his arms and refused to let go. “Umeko I know you're nervous about this but trust me. You're gonna make some great friends.” Satoru attempted to comfort her, his voice still slightly Hoarse. “But you didn't go here when you were little… Why do I need to?” She asked. Satoru sighed looking down at the red-eyed girl.
“Thats because my parents werent cool,they didnt let me do fun stuff and ruined my fun!”  He gave Umeko a small smile, hoping his little act would cheer her up.. Umeko looked up and nodded shyly, still clinging to his jacket.
He sighed picking her up and approaching the building, the swirly symbol on the front was carved into stone and the large imposing red doors made Satoru internally roll his eyes.
As he opened the doors he looked around for the main office, once he found it he rang the bell. When A Kunoichi rounded the corner he gave A small wave to which the woman ran away in fear. He sighed “Drama queen…”
“Sir?” A meek voice asked. He looked back to the main office desk to see A young woman standing there. He smiled and waved at her, walking closer. “Hello, I'm here to sign my daughter in.” He explained. The woman nodded and pulled out A small book flipping through the pages.
“Name and daughter's name?” She asked.  “Satoru Gojo And Umeko Gojo” He smiled. As soon as the words left his mouth the woman looked up in fear. She gulped down and attempted to keep her composure
“A-ah yes, I- uhm…” She stuttered attempting to find her voice once more. Satoru’s expression quickly turned sour, he was hoping this wouldn't be taking too long but clearly, the people of this village still feared the mention of the Gojo clan's name.
Satoru didnt like his clan either but it got tiring to have everyone look at him with such fear and disdain. He just hoped it wouldnt effect Umeko too much.
Either way, the Gojo clan was full of pretentious assholes that wanted to further their own agenda and could care less about the rest of the world. Satoru was ashamed to say he was even related to them but sadly he was. They even called him the clan's paragon when he was younger. By some miracle he didnt become A sociopath like the rest of his family.
“Im sorry but could you hurry up please? I don't want my daughter to be late to her first day of school.” Satoru sighed as his patience was beginning to run thin. Usually Satoru was cheerful and happy, often preferring to goof off and have fun rather than be formal all the time. “Ah- yes sir!” The woman squeaked and handed him A small form, it was the regular ninja academy spiel. He quickly signed it and handed it back over to the woman.
“You read it that quickly?” She asked in disbelief.  “You got A problem with that?” Satoru shot back with A smirk.  “N-no sir.” The woman stumbled over her words like A baby fawn learning to walk. Satoru rolled his eyes and began to walk away with his daughter gripping onto him like A baby Koala.  “Oh sir! We usually don't allow parents to drop their children off directly at their class- '' The woman attempted to catch up to Satoru leaving the office. “Well make an exception.” He groaned, not wanting to argue with A poorly paid school secretary at the moment. The woman gulped and looked away in fear. “Y-yes sir.” She mumbled and walked into the office once more.
Satoru walked away now supremely annoyed and considered just enrolling her the following year. And as much as both of them would like that it would be easier on the poor girl's social life to go to the academy at the same time as everybody else.
Satoru knocked on the classroom door and was met with A brown-haired man with A small scar across his nose bridge, and A leaf headband brandished across his forehead. “Ah you must be the missing student! My name is Iruka Umino” He asked in A rhetorical fashion, Umeko ducked her head into Satoru's chest to avoid eye contact with the man. “Sorry she's always been A bit shy…” Satoru sighed, stroking her hair.
“It's alright, I deal with shy students all the time.” Iruka assured him. Satoru began to pass him Umeko who began to cling onto him harder. Satoru sighed and set her on the ground. “I promise i'll be back, okay?” He promised to hold out his pinky. Umeko sniffled and held out hers. “But i dont want you to be back! I wanna stay with you…” She whimpered. Satoru nodded and grasped her pinky. “I promise youre going to have fun. Just trust me on this one Ume.” He assured her, giving her a goofy smile to make her happy.
Umeko shyly nodded and inched over to Iruka giving her father A little wave, Satoru giggled and waved back. “I'll see you after school, Ume!” He cooed happily. As soon as he left the door frame Umeko felt her fears begin to swirl in her stomach like an angry tornado. Her emotions quickly calmed when she felt A hand ruffle her hair, she looked up to see Iruka patting her head with A kind smile. She smiled back feeling A little better.
“Alright everyone! Since our missing student is here we can finally start introductions!” Iruka announced. He kneeled down to Umekos level and gave her A small smile. “Go sit up there next to the girl with the dark purple hair.” He pointed to A desk in the corner of the room to which A girl was sitting. Umeko nodded and got to the desk mentally doing gymnastics as her stomach flipped at the feeling of eyes watching her.
“Uhm can I sit here..?” Umeko asked in A meek voice to the other girl.  “O-oh, yes of course…” She mumbled out. Umeko sat down and gave her plenty of room not wanting to be A bother. “Alright everyone! Let's do our introductions!” Iruka announced
There were A few excited gasps from students and small chatter before Iruka silenced them by putting his hand up. “Alright first up-Aburame Shino?” Iruka asked, looking around the class, A boy meekly raised his hand. “Ah there you are Shino, now come on and introduce yourself!” Iruka said cheerfully.
“My name is Shino Aburame… I like bugs…” Whatever else the boy mumbled out it was too quiet for the class to hear. “A-ah, that's very nice Shino. Ehm Akimichi Choji!”
A brown haired boy got up with A large smile spread across his face.  “My name is Choji Akimichi! I like eating!” He cheerfully announced. Umeko was less confused by his declaration and more impressed at his social skills. ‘He just got up and did it… He didn't even hesitate…’ she thought.
“Alright thank you Choji, Next up is-'' Iruka paused and looked up to Umeko with A scared look. Umeko had hoped he already knew her last name and did not fear her but it was the same look she had always gotten. “U-Uhm, Next up is Gojo Umeko.” As Iruka called out her name she internally cringed and got up. She was pleasantly surprised to see that nobody in the class looked scared or angry, some were suspicious but most just looked at her like A real person, it caused A small smile to grow on her face.
“My name is Umeko. I like cats!” Umeko plucked up all of courage and spoke. She immediately sat down  as Iruka slowly continued. She began to tune the introductions out, becoming tired of the same old formula. And then suddenly an annoyed voice broke through her foggy daze.
“My name is Sasuke Uchiha.” The boy was annoyed and he clearly didn't want to introduce himself in the first place. “Okay Sasuke, could you tell us something you like?” Iruka asked. Sasuke huffed and turned away, refusing to say anything more. Iruka sighed and decided to move on to save his brain cells. Umeko looks over at Sasuke with A curious glance to which he glares back. Umeko shrinks back into her seat and all of her curiosity leaves her body as her anxiety returns.
“Alright, Uzumaki Naruto.” iruka called out A small tint of disdain laced in his voice. Despite the hate evident in the teacher's voice, the boy jumped at the opportunity. “My name is Naruto Uzumaki Believe it! And I'm gonna be the hokage!” His voice was happy and full of  determination, a stark contrast to the boy who came before him. “Seriously? We don't even know you yet and you already sound like A jerk! A pink haired girl shouted. “Yeah.” Another girl huffed. Umeko looked down at the unfolding conversation with intrigue as she watched the group argue.
It was almost fascinating to watch people interact in Umeko’s eyes, an intrinsic dance as you glide through topics like an elegant form of Ballet. However, she was aware it wasn't exactly A common thing that most six year olds enjoyed. That's exactly why she never shared it, well if she had friends to share it with in the first place.
As the introductions finished they had moved outside to start with A lesson. Umeko was A bit nervous since she had never been all too good at controlling any form of chakra. She knew she had the ability because of A few lucky tries but besides those parts of her kekkei genkai would just activate on their own. It was really troublesome for any form of training.
“Alright, so we can see how everyone fairs were going to do some basic duels. Nothing intense just to see where you all stand in the form of skill.” Iruka explained.  ‘Well atleast Mister Iruka won't be scared when he sees how weak I am…’ She thought. Umeko was never all too skilled in the self confidence department. “Alright, let's start with drawing lots.” Iruka pulled out A small box full of paper slips with the students' names.
Iruka reached his hand into the box and pulled out two small white slips of paper.  “Shikamaru Naara and Choji Akimichi, please step forward.” As Iruka called out their names the two stepped forward.  “So uh, Sensei?” Choji called out it A nervous voice. “What is it?” Iruka answered. “The thing is… I really dont wanna have to fight against my friends. Y’know?” Choji confessed. “Well… look Choji this isn't like A fight. This is traditional shinobi hand to hand combat. Even our hokage and those before him participated in such drills and became stronger by sparring!” Iruka explained. Shikamaru began to walk away from the dueling circle rather uninterested in the prospect of fighting his friend. “Yeah, Look sensei. Just go ahead and put down that I went out of bounds, Okay?And then we can move on to the next pair.” Shikamaru sighed. “Hey wait-” Iruka called. “You might be calling this training or whatever but if there's gonna be A winner it's actually A match.” Shikamaru explained. “And since that's the case wouldn't it save you some trouble to decide who wins from the start?” Shikamaru asks.
“Boy he really has no motivation. He's never gonna make chunin like that!” Kiba exclaimed. “That's not entirely true…” Shino mumbled. Kiba looked over at the hooded boy, intrigued by his words. “It's because people can change over the course of A lifetime, a lot can happen…” He pondered. “You are so hung up on minor details!” Kiba whined.
“COME ON SHIKAMARU!” Ino yelled.  “YOU ARE THE LAZIEST KID I'VE EVER MET! AND CHOJI YOU'RE JUST A COWARD!” Ino berated the two boys disappointed in their lack of drive. “Hey Ino do you know those two boys or something?” Sakura asked, curious at the girl's outburst. “Yeah, sort of. Our parents are friends.” Ino explained.
“Forget it. Shikamaru, Choji. Give the unison sign.” Iruka sighed.  “Oh right, I forgot.” Shikamaru yawned, walking towards Choji. They stood in front of each other and each curled their thumb and folded their pinky and ring finger, making the sign towards each other. “I'm really sorry Shikamaru.” Choji apologized. “Nah it's okay. I know you stink at stuff like this. And it's A drag for me too…” Shikamaru sighed. Iruka looked on with A smile, at least the two had learned something.. “Good. Unison sign complete.” Iruka sighed.
“Next up is… Naruto Uzumaki!” Iruka called.  “YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT!” A loud voice yelled from beside Umeko, she jumped a bit not realizing the boy was there earlier. Part of her wanted to talk to him. Make friends with him or do anything but her mouth wouldn't move. She just looked shyly at the boy. She really wished she wasnt so shy, maybe then she could actually be friends with some of them
“Wait, is he the one..?” One kid whispered.  “My parents said I wasn't allowed to talk to him…” Another continued. “Out of everyone here I want to be paired with him the least!”
Umeko looked over at him and A small smile fell upon her face. Maybe there was somebody else who the adults of the village feared. “And Sasuke Uchiha! Step forward you two.” Iruka called.
Umeko felt A pang of fear. Sasuke Uchiha, wasn't that the boy who glared at her earlier? “Sasuke get him!” One cheered
“Go Sasuke!” Another added “I wish I could do the unison sign with Sasuke…” Another dreamily sighed.
Umeko was A bit confused, all of this for A boy who was more threatening than kind? Honestly it appeared that he hadn't even spoken to any of them. What had put them in such A trance-like state for A boy? “You got this Sasuke!” Ino called. “You're totally gonna win! I'm sure of it!” Sakura cheered.
Umeko looked over to Naruto and saw him walking into the dueling circle. He seemed rather upset, Umeko couldn't blame him. If she had everyone cheering against her she’d feel pretty bad too.
“LETS GO! I'M GONNA WIN THIS FOR SURE!” Naruto yelled.
“Uhm- best of luck Naruto-” Hinata attempted to cheer the boy on but was immediately interrupted by another student. “TAKE HIM DOWN SASUKE!” Umeko smiled at Hinata, at least there was one other girl who wasn't affected by whatever poison seeped into the others minds. “Alright it's Naruto Uzumaki versus Sasuke Uchiha-” Before Iruka could even finish his introduction he was interrupted by the spikey haired blonde. “COME ON LETS JUST DO THIS IDIOT!” Naruto yelled. “Hey, stop that Naruto. You need to make the proper spar sign before you two begin.Its simple etiquette” Iruka demonstrated.  “I don't care about any of that stuff! I just wanna hurry it up and defeat this jerk already!” Naruto declared.
“It's time for A new mister popular around here y’know!” Naruto yelled. “Whatever loser, but I'll make it quick if that's what you want.” Sasuke teased. “Enough. Both of you, good grief.” iruka rubbed his nose bridge. As both got into A fighting stance there was A small pause of silence before Iruka called out.
“BEGIN-”
It took Almost no time at all. Sasuke struck Naruto to the ground holding his fist over his face. There was A small pause as Sasuke stood over Naruto's body, but before it could get too odd, Iruka put an end to it.
“Sasuke wins, now make the unison sign so we can move on.” Iruka explained. As Sasuke began to walk away Naruto flew up onto his feet quickly. “H-HEY COME BACK! You weren't even looking at me, that didn't count!” Naruto called itching for A re-match. Sasuke looked back at him and smirked. “GOT SOMETHIN TO SAY TO ME YOU HARD AND RUNNY CRAP TURD!?” Naruto yelled, he probably had more insults too but it was ended by A swift punch to the head from Iruka. “I TOLD YOU HAND TO HAND COMBAT IS A SACRED TRADITION! NOW MAKE THE UNISON SIGN!” Iruka yelled. “AND YOU TOO, DO IT SASUKE!” Iruka called, making sure to not leave either of the boys out of his reprimand.
Naruto got up and huffed walking towards the center of the circle. As they were in their proper standing spots they both grabbed each other's shirts with glares.
“You wanna go another round you loser?” Sasuke asked with venom in his voice. Iruka ran towards them getting fed up by their incessant bickering. “Hey enough! Quit it, both of you!” Iruka groaned.
“Narutos just the worst!” One student bitterly insulted
“Yeah what's up with him?” Another added. As Naruto began to run off Umeko ran after him, stopping him just before he reached the fence and catching his arm. He looked back at her with an angry glare. Umeko suddenly realized she had probably gone too far and retracted her grip and began apologizing.
“I-Im sorry… I just thought that you were pretty cool. I- I just thought that you needed some company…” She looked away now feeling A bit ashamed by her outburst. Naruto looked at her for A moment before the cogs in his head clicked into place.
‘That's where I know her from!’ He thought.
It was always better to sneak around, more efficient. Naruto was huddled in an alleyway corner behind A stack of boxes to stay out of anyone's sight. He had stolen A piece of bread from A stall. He didn't have any allowance money left from the third but it wasn't like the villagers would actually give him food in return anyway.
As he sat huddled with some bread he heard A passing conversation.
“I still can't believe the third is allowing them to stay here…” One sighed.
Naruto's curiosity immediately dropped. From the way they were speaking he automatically assumed it was about him. But before he could tune it out his assumption was proven wrong.
“I mean really? That family has done nothing for us, the Gojos act as if they are better than us in every right! They stay out of village affairs in their stupid sanctuary they hide in.” A woman granted to the other. Naruto's curiosity rose listening to the two. He had never heard of the clan. Everyone knew of the Uchiha, Senju, and Hyuga but he had never heard of the Gojo.
“I'm sure lord third has A reason for letting them stay here, he wouldn't compromise our safety more than he already has letting the monster stay here.”
There it was. The obligatory mention of Naruto under the odd  pseudonym that he never could fully comprehend. What did he do to earn the horrible name? Nobody would ever give him an answer, not even the Hokage himself.
“Whatever lord thirds plan is. I'm sure of its sound. We just have to deal with them as long as it's in motion.”
‘I knew I heard her name before!’ He thought. A large smile spread across Naruto's face. Umeko smiled, hoping at least something she did made him feel better.
“You're A Gojo. Right?” He asked with excitement. Umkeos smile dropped, it seemed that the boy she had temporarily found solace in felt the same. She frowned and looked away. Naruto's eyes widened as she began to inch away.
“Wait! I promise it's not anything bad! I- I heard people around the village talking about your family and I guess I'm just curious.” He attempted to explain. Umeko smiled and walked back towards him.
“I'm not really sure why so many people don't like us… Dad never really likes to tell me. He says I'll understand when I'm older.” She said Naruto's smile didn't falter, in fact it might have grown bigger.
“That's okay! Uhm do you wanna maybe- be friends?” He asked, trying not to come off too strong. Umekos' smile grew, her little eyes sparkling like never before. “Yes! I- I would like that.” She accepted A smile spread across her features.
“Naruto!” Iruka's voice called out. The two children looked over to see Iruka running over to them.
“Umeko, was he bothering you- I can call your father if you would like-” Iruka seemed to be panicking looking at Umeko as if she was A shard of glass.
“I'm alright, I just wanted to make sure Naruto was okay.” Umeko answered, trying to come off as confident when she in reality came off closer to her fathers threatening aura. “I- yes right…” Iruka stuttered out. “Just come back this way, we still have duels to go through.” Iruka instructed. Naruto and Umeko followed him back to the rest of the class who were impatiently waiting for their return. “Seriously Naruto? Did you really have to run off?” A kid groaned.  “Yeah now we had to wait for Iruka to drag you back over!” another scoffed.
Naruto frowned and looked away. Umeko held his hand and looked at him with A warm smile. Naruto smiled back, maybe the academy could be fun…
Satoru stood waiting for the bell to ring and dismissed the students. He was nervous about Umeko being teased or being lonely but he held out hope for her to at least make one friend. He noticed A presence beside him and smiled. The man's dark brown parted hair was unmistakable along with his dark black eyes.
“Youre Fugaku Uchiha, right?” Satoru hummed in acknowledgement. The man looked over and gave him A curt nod. “You got A kid in the academy too?” Satoru asked. Fugaku nodded with A small smile. “Yes, my eldest actually just left the academy. My youngest just joined today.” He hummed. Satoru smiled.
“My daughter joined today as well. Maybe they are in the same class.” Satoru pondered. Fugaku chuckled. “I would hope so, it would be nice for my son to have A Gojo as A rival.” He jokingly said. Satoru smiled over to him, “You know you're the first person i've met here other than the Hokage who doesn't fear me irrationally.” Satoru observed, Fugaku shrugged and let out A small sigh. “Most of the people of this village have never been welcoming of change.” Fugaku explained. Satoru nodded and adjusted his blindfold atop his eyes to make it feel more comfortable.
“What's your son's name, if you don't mind me asking.” Satoru asked, looking over to Fugaku, tearing his eyes away from the academy doors. “Sasuke.” Fugaku answered quickly, leaving an air of silence. Satoru nodded as if to approve. “My daughter's name is Umeko.” Satoru sighed. Fugaku chuckled and looked over to Satoru with A genuine smile. “That's A lovely name for A young girl.” He smiled. “Thank you.”
Their conversation was interrupted by the loud ring of the academy bell. Students poured out the doors and rushed to their parents excited to tell them about their day. Much to Satoru’s surprise it seemed that Umeko wasn't one of the first ones out. However he saw A young boy run into Fugakus arms, presumably his son.
When Satoru looked back to the doors he was surprised to see that Umeko was walking out with another child. They had spikey blonde hair and small whiskers on their cheeks with bright blue eyes. Satoru recognized the appearance, it was the exact same as the description of the young jinchuriki boy he had heard of.
As soon as Umeko spotted him she ran full force into his arms. Satoru laughed and lifted her into the air laughing, as she giggled excitedly to see her father.  “Umeko! How was your day?” Satoru asked, a large smile on his face.
“It was really nice… I made a friend! His name is Naruto!” She exclaimed Satoru smiled and set her down. Umeko ran back to her friend and pulled him over, Satoru frowned when he realized the boy's expression was far more fearful than excited. Once Umeko had dragged him over she seemed to make the exact same observation as her smile dulled into A frown.
“Naruto what's wrong?” She asked looking over to the boy. Fugaku looked at Satoru with A judgemental expression. Satoru looked back with a blank face, as if to shove the man away. Satoru crouched down to Naruto's level and gave him A smile.
“Hello Naruto. It's nice to meet you.” Satoru attempted to keep his tone leveled so as to not scare the young boy. Naruto's face morphed to shock. He had met adults before that didn't hate him, like lord third or Teuchi. But he had never met anyone else. And it especially shocked him as the man seemed to brandish a leaf headband across his eyes. “You… you don't hate me?” Naruto asked, his voice full of disbelief. Satoru laughed and looked back towards him.
“Why would I? After all you're my daughter's friend, why wouldn't I like you?” He asked with fake curiosity. The boy was clearly self conscious and not exactly emotionally healthy if that was his first instinct.
“No-it's not that I just-” Naruto attempted to stutter out any form of reasoning for his question. However Satoru just ruffled his hair. “Here. How about you and Umeko go out tonight? I could treat you guys to some food. I mean as long as your parents dont mind.” Satoru offered. Satoru was well aware that the boy had no parents, but he didn't want to come off like A stalker so he asked anyway. “Y-yeah they wouldn't mind!” Naruto answered excitedly at the prospect of free food. Umeko smiled looking up at her father. “Thanks dad.” She said, giving him A hug.
“No problem Ume.Now come on! Where do you wanna go?” Satoru asked. Naruto knew exactly where he wanted to go. But in the moment he didn't mind where they went. He was just happy he made A friend, a friend that wouldn't disappear because of their parents warnings. He was happy, maybe the academy would be nice after all…
the thing about happy endings {1/7}
welcome to the serenity verse!!
(beautifully named by @justmyownreality)
i believe this is my first time actually posting a full story with my OC so this is very exciting, but also very nerve-wracking for me! i'd love to thank my beautiful friends @justmyownreality @mortyvongola2-0 and @therantingfangirl for motivating me and encouraging me through the creation of this fic. this is not hotaru's canon verse, so it's a bit odd this is the first official piece i've posted with her, but i just couldn't keep it to myself.
(the other oc's in this fic belong respectively to my beautiful moots above: rukia, masa, and kuro)
i'd like to also thank @itsyoursunshinebabe because i am almost positive that they sent me a request forever ago that inspired the plot of this fic.
please enjoy!
A man whose history was lost to time stepped through the gates of Konohagakure six months after the Fourth Great Shinobi War. He had watched his home from a distance for many years as it was attacked and even once destroyed and rebuilt. What he could have done in those years seemed insignificant to him. Who would accept a failure like him? He was simply a man who couldn’t keep away for much longer. He no longer had a reason to hide. Guilt ate away at him.
He prayed for a second chance. He prayed he would use that chance wisely. Hopefully, time had washed away his failures.
-
Hotaru Sarutobi was coronated as the sixth Hokage five months prior. Her leadership was greatly celebrated, though many raised a brow at her due to her age. But no one was more panicked about her new role than Hotaru herself. She began her work frantically. Her new position and persistent training left little time for real social life. There was too much to be done, too much that needed to change in her village.
She was rarely seen outside of her title as Lady Hokage, but as much as that ate away at her, she knew it was necessary. She couldn’t laze around and watch her village crumble before her. She had to be stronger than all her predecessors… but how? There were many days she caught herself staring at the portraits of the other Hokage hanging on the walls of her office. Most notably she would look at her father’s photo, wondering what he truly thought of her having this title. He had always been hesitant of his children pursuing their dreams as shinobi. Hiruzen would much father have had Hotaru living a simple life, but he also wasn’t one to hold back his children, no matter his wishes. Hotaru wondered if she did the right thing by not listening to her father.
She wondered if the early mornings and late nights were worth it. Normally she would go for a five mile run in the morning and then drag herself straight into the office after a shower. Office work started at 6:30AM sharp. Then meetings, then traveling around the village if she was needed for anything, then more paperwork, then her own personal training. She tried to push herself until at least 6PM if not later, but usually she would tire herself out before that to the point where she could barely walk. The next morning she would start all over again.
Her struggle didn’t go unnoticed.
-
The morning that marked her fifth month anniversary as Hokage, she was greeted at her desk by a young kunoichi, Rukia Hatake. The girl casually slid an envelope across her desk before placing her hands on her hips, giving her Hokage (and aunt) a stern look.
“Your closest advisor has sent you a request- no, not a request, a demand. He told me it was a demand.” Rukia’s lips were a thin line. Hotaru thought it was cute how stern she was trying to be but was also confused by the letter.
“If your father wishes to speak with me, he can just come in here himself and do so,” Hotaru said as she rubbed at the bags under her eyes. She hadn’t even looked in the mirror today to apply any makeup, it would just get ruined somehow. “But if he wants to be so formal and make his daughter do his bidding then so be it.” She let out a little sigh as she tore open the envelope. Inside was a crudely put-together document. Kakashi hadn’t been known for his handwriting. Hotaru squinted at the words.
Dearest Hokage,
I hope this letter finds you well.
It has come to my attention that you haven't been taking care of yourself. As the leader of our village and as a shinobi that the future generation is to look up to, I find your general irresponsibility rather alarming. How are you to lead us properly when you won’t even perform proper self-care?
Through this letter I ask that you take the next seven days off, starting from the moment you crumple up this document and throw it in my daughter’s face. I have already cleared out my entire schedule to allow myself time to get through any admin work and other priorities while you are gone. And I assure you, things will get done.
I have also assigned you several escorts to make sure you follow this week’s itinerary properly.
Rukia Hatake
Masaki Uchiha-Kamizuru
Kurono Uzumaki
Our guards of the Hokage tower have been informed to not allow you access unless an emergency falls upon the village.
Please treat this as official business. This is not a request.
The letter was promptly crumpled up between Hotaru’s hands and thrown directly at Rukia’s forehead.
“Hey!” The younger woman shrieked.
Hotaru grinned, “Sorry, missed the trash can.” She stood up and retrieved the paper, actually placing it into the trash can this time. “I’m not sure how good of an idea it is for me to be taking so much time off… It isn’t Kakashi’s job to be taking on my responsibilities.”
Rukia hopped up on the desk, causing some papers to shift around. Her feet were nowhere close to touching the floor. Hotaru wanted to make a comment, but instead she just silently bonded with her niece over their shared height deficiency. “You’re right. It’s not his job to take over for you, but it is his job to make sure you don’t kill yourself. I haven't seen you in weeks other than to get mission assignments. Masa and Kuro are worried too… You always cancel on our dinner plans.”
Hotaru’s chest stung lightly. Rukia wasn’t wrong. She couldn’t remember the last time she had been out to eat, or over to someone’s house for a proper meal. She usually had one of the guards get her meals for her. It wasn’t that she was actively avoiding her friends, she just couldn’t bring herself to not put her all into her work. It was more than a job, it was the livelihood of her village on the line. Hotaru had experienced too much to make a mistake. But what was the cost? She was now losing time with one of her only blood relatives. She had been so far removed from Rukia when they were younger. She missed out on so much. And Hotaru was someone to clung to guilt like it was an old friend.
She let out a sigh. “You know how much I hate disappointing people. I’m sorry.”
Rukia gave her a soft smile. “I’m not here to make you feel bad, but there’s a time and place for.. all this,” she gestured around the room, “Everything will be exactly where it needs to be when you get back. No more passing out at the training grounds either, you always scare my dad half the death when he just finds you laying on the ground.”
Hotaru covered her face and shook her head. “That’s always really embarrassing…”
“It really is! So now that that’s all out of the way, we have a spa date in less than an hour.” Rukia leaped off the desk and opened the window directly behind her. “Okay, hop on, all aboard the Hatake Express.”
“Excuse me?”
An instant later the pair was soaring through the air (rather slowly, but soaring nonetheless). Hotaru clung to Rukia’s forearm as she was dragged through the air.
“This doesn’t seem very safe! Couldn’t we have just walked?!” The older woman looked down, her legs flailing about.
Rukia laughed, “This is faster. I can’t remember the last time I got a massage, not to mention one paid for by my dad.”
“Your father is a very generous man. It’s super kind of him. Yup, definitely.” Hotaru laughed maniacally, trying to hide the nervousness in her voice. She wasn’t afraid of heights, at least she didn’t think she was before this day. As their ride came to an end Hotaru held back the urge to kiss the ground beneath her feet.
“Hey stranger, nice to see you finally crawl out of that hole of yours.” Kuro’s voice rang through the room when they entered the spa. Both her and Masa were already in their robes, their hair fell beautifully down their shoulders. It was at that moment that Hotaru realized she hadn’t truly looked at another human being for anything other than business for months.
“Both of you are gorgeous, and I’m sorry I’m not here to say that more often.” Her cheeks were flushed as she looked away from her friends. Rukia was shoving a robe into her arms.
Masa giggled, “See, you’ve been cooped up for so long that the first thing you do is flirt with us! That’s how you know you need to get out.” She took Hotaru’s arm, leading her back to the locker room. “Chop, chop, we have the entire day booked here.”
-
Time seemed to slow down inside the spa. Hotaru almost felt like she was in a genjutsu. She couldn’t remember the last time she felt so at peace. Well… maybe she could. She was a child, standing beside Itachi and Shisui as they discussed some adult matter that was way above all their heads. It was before their village seemed to crumble from the inside out before she had truly lost her innocence.
In a perfect world, she would be laying next to Shisui while he told her about all his future dreams, what his family would look like, what his house would look like, and what time of year he wanted to have a wedding.
Hotaru always wondered if he had eyes for someone. He spoke as if he had this fantasy future always picked out with another person in mind. She wasn’t a jealous person, no, more likely to be happy for him no matter who the lucky person was. But he spoke so enthusiastically to her about his perfect life, is that where he saw her?
He was the most bittersweet person in her life. He was a fragment of hope ripped away from her that she never thought she would get back. She shared so much of herself, of her love with other people, and yet, it didn’t seem complete, no matter how hard she tried.
It was a stupid childhood crush… get over it.
If anyone felt emotions as deeply as an Uchiha, it was Hotaru.
-
“Lady Hokage…” Hotaru felt a cool hand press against her back. She must have fallen asleep. She couldn’t remember the last time she awoke feeling so refreshed.
“My apologies… I must have dozed off.” She lifted her head giving her masseuse an apologetic look. The woman simply smiled and shook her head.
“Not to worry, I only wanted to let you know that your friends had made their way to the hot spring. I’ve brought you some fresh towels so you can join them.” She bowed her head before leaving the room to give Hotaru privacy.
Hotaru undressed and wrapped a smaller towel around her hair and then a larger bath towel around her body. Hotaru had been too distracted by her own thoughts to even notice how beautiful the interior of the building was. It was minimalistic with small details. A beautiful landscape was carved into the marble wall along the entire hallway. Birds and flowers danced along a river and through trees leading up to a great mountain in the distance. It was truly breathtaking, she should ask who created the piece. Hotaru wondered when the last time she noticed art on the walls was. What art was on the walls in her office? As far as she knew the only things hanging up were the photos of her predecessors, nothing overly personal, nothing to give a second glance at without feeling guilt.
Hotaru let out a sigh as she exited the building out to the woman’s side of the hot spring. She heard the chatter of her friends and gently folded her towel before stepping into the steaming hot water.
“Sorry to keep you guys waiting, I think I fell asleep. That woman’s hands are magical.” Hotaru blushed as she took a seat next to Rukia.
“Oh you didn’t miss much,” Her niece smirked, “We were just interrogating Kuro about her date with Gai.”
Hotaru perked up, looking at Kuro who looked rather confused.
“A date? We just… ate food together. Is that what people are calling a date now?” Kuro crossed her arms over her chest. Her face was a bit red, but that could have been from the steam.
“Are you sure he didn’t think it was a date?” Masa asked grinning from ear to ear, poking her friend’s arm teasingly. “You can be kind of oblivious sometimes.”
“Oblivious?!” Kuro pouted, “The only oblivious one here is you. Have you seen how that Lee guy looks at you?”
Masa almost gasped, “Lee? Wh-what? No! He just looks at people super intensely. It’s the eyebrows. Yeah, the eyebrows!”
Off to the side, Rukia was trying not to laugh. “This is almost painful to watch,” She whispered to Hotaru.
The oldest of the group cleared her throat lightly. “Kuro… Gai is a very passionate man, and maybe you don’t see his advances as such, but it’s not commonplace for him to take out a beautiful woman. He’s usually too busy bothering Kakashi..”
Kuro winked at Hotaru, “You think I’m beautiful, Lady Hokage?” She asked with a smirk.
Hotaru sighed, “You know I do.” She blushed before looking at Masa. “I’m not sure if this changes anything for you… But Lee has asked about you. Just in passing, I’m sure it’s nothing serious.” She grinned knowingly. Her heart felt warm knowing that her friends were finding a home here in the village, even after their tumultuous relationship with the Leaf.
Masa sank deeper into the water, blowing bubbles along the surface.
“And how’s Suigetsu?” Hotaru raised a brow at Rukia who had been conveniently dodging the awkward romance talk.
“What? Oh, he’s fine…” Rukia looked away from Hotaru, shrugging her shoulders. Out of all the girls she was the least shy about her feelings, but she was still a strong kunoichi, trained to oppress feelings from a young age. It was in all their natures.
Hotaru didn’t press her futher. She would ask Kakashi about them from time to time. Rukia’s father seemed less than impressed by the young man, but then again it would be hard for anyone to get Kakashi’s approval, especially anyone trying to win his daughter’s heart.
Rukia cleared her throat. “What about you, Hotaru? When are you finally going to go on a date?”
“Hm…” Hotaru shrugged, “I don’t really see that in my future, or a relationship at all really.” She tried to smile. It shouldn’t make her sad. She chose a life where her personal feelings and needs weren’t her first priority, and that was fine. She never wanted to put herself first. There were more important things in life to her than who fell asleep next to. Hotaru loved with her entire being, but she didn’t expect anyone to return those feelings, romantically or not. She’d be lying if she said seeing all her close friends find their loves didn’t make her the tiniest bit jealous. But at least she wouldn’t have to worry about them as much. They would have people always watching over them.
“I would much rather help plan all of your weddings than think about my own one day. You know mine would somehow get out of control and every single official from all the nations would be invited. That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.” She waved off the idea, hoping the topic would change.
The topic did change and the girls moved on to talking about the most random things. Food, literature, jutsu, the meaning of life, Kuro and Masa’s future in the Leaf. Hotaru wondered how much of this type of quality time she had missed out on, all because she was too stubborn to put down her pen and live. There was still the small amount of anxiety in her mind that Kakashi would quickly become overwhelmed with the work, or that the work just wouldn’t get done. But she tried not to be distracted by her own thoughts and just enjoy.
-
After the spa, the girls went their separate ways, Masa with Kuro and Hotaru with Rukia.
As Hotaru walked with Rukia to their side of the village, she noticed her niece’s tense nature. Her fists were slightly clenched, eyes narrowed, chakra level slightly heightened than normal. Hotaru reached over, gently touching her arm. “Is everything okay?”
Rukia shook her head, letting out a deep breath. “I feel like someone’s following us…”
Hotaru blinked, looking around, trying to pick out anything out of the ordinary. Nothing seemed out of place. If someone had been on their tail they were long gone. She moved closer to Rukia, wrapping an arm around her shoulder as they walked. “Hey… I think maybe you’re just starting to simmer down. Last week you had a lot of tough missions before your dad sort of forced you into this break.” She smiled, rubbing her arm soothingly. “I’m sure it’s just that…. And everything from the war still creeps up on me sometimes too. We’re not exactly sane people anymore.”
When they reached their crossroads, Rukia reached for Hotaru’s hand before she could walk away. “Are you sure you don’t want me to walk you the rest of the way?” She seemed eager, like she didn’t want to let her go.
Hotaru raised a brow, “Are you sure you don’t want an escort home? I don’t mind, it’s not out of the way really.”
“It’s literally the opposite direction.” Rukia snipped.
“Yes, but I don’t mind.” Hotaru assured her niece.
Rukia pulled away, “You know I’ll be fine. I’m always fine.”
Hotaru sighed, “If you’re fine, then I’m fine.” Sometimes that was how they had to end things, or they would be stuck in a spiraling argument for hours. She waved a goodbye to Rukia before walking toward her apartment. It was early afternoon, but Hotaru had decided she would spend the rest of the day in her apartment, maybe napping, maybe reading, definitely snuggling with her cat Jonathon.
When she stepped inside, she spotted something rather peculiar: a bouquet of pink tulips.
Heated... because it’s summer time? Enjoy, friends <3
Tumblr media
The fresh smell of saltwater engulfed Naruto’s senses as he and his two friends approached the front door of their waterfront bungalow suite.
“I can’t believe we have this whole resort to ourselves for Spring Break!” Naruto beamed, tightly gripping his luggage.
Shikamaru, too consumed with reading and re-reading the resort map and information packet given upon check in - simply grunted in response as his attention was already on pinpointing the closest bars.
“Yeah, well. When your step-dad owns the place, it comes with awesome perks.” Kiba winked, jiggling the keys to unlock the door.
The three boys stepped inside, admiring their surroundings. The room was filled with wonderful neutral tones and pops of teal around every corner. Upscale seascape paintings hung up over every bed, accompanied by seashell accents scattered across the suite - really solidifying the feeling of being on a tropical getaway.
Naruto dragged his luggage inside the double doors, claiming the second largest bedroom farthest from the front door of the suite, being much too modest to try and claim the Grand Room that was reserved for Kiba.
“Alrighty boys, what’s first on the to-do list?” Shikamaru yelled from the main living room area, unusually eager to get the trip started.
“Drinks!” Kiba peeked his head out of his bedroom, grinning like a fool - fist pumping the air.
“Starting the day off right, eh?” Naruto asked cheerily as he walked into the living room, scratching the back of his head.
“Yup, and you’re gonna go to the bar and grab us a round before heading to the pool.” Shikamaru said with his head down, rummaging through his suitcase, digging out a pair of olive green swim trunks.
“Me?!” Naruto shrieked. “Why not Kiba?!” He frowned and pointed a finger at the shaggy haired brunette.
“Just go, you idiot.” Kiba planted his palms on the back of Naruto’s shoulders, shoving him towards the front door. “Need I remind you who scored this sick vacation spot for us?”
Shikamaru rolled his eyes and sighed, “Your old man. We get it.”
Naruto had slowly begun making his way to the Sunset Tiki Bar that was only a few minutes walk from their bungalow, taking in the beautiful resort sights around him. An incredible sense of gratitude washed over him as he absorbed every bit of luxury and elegance that surrounded him on the island.
As the Uzumaki slowly walked the sandy path, his head fell backwards, face pointed to the sky - focused on the luscious green palm trees that swayed above him, doing their job of keeping him cool. He thought about what wonderful friends he had for allowing him to experience such a beautiful place and he truly felt unworthy. As someone who grew up with practically nothing, never having experienced anything so amazing - he just knew, this Spring Break trip would be one he’d cherish and remember forever.
Seagulls squawked. The sweet and salty smell of the ocean air consumed him as the early afternoon rays beamed down on his sun-kissed skin. Naruto approached the tiki stand that was adorned with vibrant accents of reds, teals and yellows, throwing up a finger gesture to get the bartender’s attention.
“3 Pineapple Ginger’s please! 2 frozen, 1 on the rocks.” Naruto requested as he slammed his credit card down on the wood below him, sliding the plastic in the bartender’s direction.
As Naruto propped himself over the bar counter awaiting his drinks - he caught a glimpse of another resort guest settling onto the stool next to him, not initially caring much about this other individual’s presence.
“2 Pineapple Gingers - both frozen. Thanks.” The higher-pitched voice said to the female bartender not far from where Naruto was leaning.
The familiar yet uncommon drink order made Naruto perk up immediately - forcing him to take note of the individual sitting next to him. His head slowly turned to the left, being careful to not make it obvious he was people watching while waiting for his drink order; however, what he saw - took his breath away.
Naruto’s sky blue eyes grew wide and doe-like as he got a glimpse of the woman propped on the stool next to him. Her warm, tawny beige skin looked as rich and smooth as sea-salt caramel - beautifully contrasting with her stark white bikini top. Light brown freckles peppering her nose. The young woman could sense a pair of eyes ogling at her from the right side, causing her to shift uncomfortably before she dared to stare back.
“Can I help you?” The young woman sighed and she glared at Naruto - her high ponytail whipping to the other side of her head. His mouth fell completely open as her sparkling emerald-green orbs met his own sea of blue.
“Can you stop staring at me? You’re being weird.”
The bartender slammed 3 glasses in front of the blonde who had his sights set on who he believed to be the prettiest woman he’d ever laid eyes on.
“Thank you ma'am.” He nodded, graciously thanking the bartender for the drinks before turning back to face the female. “Sorry, I uh.. just noticed you ordered my favorite drink and I’m impressed - it’s not very common.”
“Regardless, you were still staring.” The female replied, sounding slightly annoyed.
Naruto ruffled the back of his fluffy blonde locks, nervously grinning. “I’m really sorry for that - I couldn’t help but recognize your awesome taste in alcohol and the fact that you’re absolutely gorgeous.” A slight blush crept across his whiskered cheeks as he said the second part in a much quieter tone of voice.
“Dammit, I probably sound like a rambling idiot right now.” The blonde thought to himself - slightly insecure at his inability to effectively flirt.
The woman’s eyes briefly softened at the compliment, still cautiously eyeing the young man, not sure what to think of him just yet.
 “Thanks…” she said, finally sporting a full white grin - now turning to face Naruto head on after taking a small sip of the drink sitting in front of her.
As Naruto got a full frontal view of the mystery woman who sat before him, his eyes immediately shot wide once more, awkwardly shifting between her emerald irises and the profound amount of squishy flesh on her chest that protruded from her bikini top.
“Fuck, she’s so hot!”
“No! Stop it, Naruto. Keep your eyes above her chest. Don't be that guy.”
As Naruto gave himself a small pep talk, he could feel himself starting to grow hard in his swim trunks. He tried to shift slightly to keep his growing hard on from being painfully obvious. She already thought he was being weird - so, if this random woman at the bar knew she was turning him on from doing practically nothing but existing - he’d definitely solidify the title of “Weirdo Pervert” in her book.
To Naruto’s defense, it had been a long time since he’d had sex with any girls on campus, so encountering a beautiful woman on a beautiful island was more than enough to get him going.
“Helllooo?” The girl waved her dainty hand in front of the Uzumaki’s face, trying to catch his attention as it was obvious he was in his own world. The poor boy was shook.
“S-Sorry, what’d you say?”
“I asked what your name was?” The girl sighed, already slightly exhausted that his attention was elsewhere.
“Oh!” He exclaimed, feeling a bit embarrassed. “Naruto. Naruto Uzumaki!” He said cheerfully.
The girl smiled as she hopped up, clutching 2 frozen drinks in hand that she'd previously ordered, turning on her heels, starting to walk away.
“Wait!” Naruto called after her.
“Yes?” She whipped back around to face him.
“Can I at least get your name?”
“Well, seeing how you’ve spent the last few minutes gawking at my tits, I’d say you have to earn that.” She smirked.
Naruto opened his mouth as if preparing to say something - pausing, feeling flustered that his sudden horniness had been exposed.
“Fuck. She most definitely thinks I'm a creep.” He thought.
“Well, will I get to see you again sometime?” Naruto asked hopefully, slight desperation spilling from his lips - walking towards the curvaceous woman as she trekked backwards in the white sand towards her destination.
“We’ll see.” The woman gave a playful wink as she turned back around, walking away from where the awestruck blonde stood, leaving him speechless once more.
>>>
“Damn girl, took ya long enough to grab those drinks!” A brunette woman called out as she watched her best friend make her way back to the lounge chairs near the pool that they’d specifically saved just under the shade of a large colorful umbrella.
“My bad! I met this guy and he kinda distracted me.” The green-eyed beauty huffed as she plopped down on the chair after trekking through the thick sand, handing a glass to her friend which now dripped with condensation.
Kai rolled her eyes and chuckled. “Not sure how I’m supposed to exist in this sweltering heat with a watered down frozen cocktail but I guess this will do.”
“Now, spill it. Who was the guy that caught your attention?” Her hazel eyes twinkled with delight at the piping hot tea that her friend had brought her.
“His name is Naruto. Really tall. Hot. Blonde. The most stunning blue eyes you’ll ever see.” She began. “However; he’s a bit weird. I could tell he was ogling at my boobs for a good part of the conversation.” she continued, now sounding slightly less enthusiastic.
Kai couldn't help but burst out laughing hearing how her friend had described the interaction between her and this mysterious hot blonde.
“Shocker.” she replied, now placing down the Murder Mystery book she’d held onto replacing it with her cell phone.
Kai pushed out her plump lips, slightly pouting as she scrolled through her Iphone messages before tossing her phone back in her beach bag.
“What’s wrong?”
Kai huffed. “That dumbass Sasuke hasn’t texted me once since we arrived in Key Largo.”
“Kai, chill. We literally just checked in yesterday and besides, you know Sasuke is spending time with Itachi traveling Europe!” she said, digging her sunglasses out of her own bag - shoving the aviators onto her face, shading her green orbs.
“You’re right. Not even going to stress it.” Kai said, picking up her watery pineapple cocktail taking a sip from it, proving to be unbothered. “Do I wish our spring break plans hadn’t fell through? Sure. But I’m here in paradise with my best friend - what more could I ask for?” she beamed.
As the two young women continued their pool side chatter, a familiar face came strolling in from the other side of the pool entrance. She immediately recognized Naruto and sat up in the chair she was laying in. Naruto let out the most infectious boisterous laugh as he exchanged conversation with two friends, a brunette and a dark-haired man with a ponytail.
“Omg. Omg, Kai! That’s him. That’s the guy I met.” She quickly slapped Kai’s arm to get her attention. Kai peered over her shades that were resting on the bridge of her nose, pushing her blonde highlights out of her face to get a better view of the eye candy.
“Woah. He’s annoyingly beautiful.” Kai snorted.
Meanwhile, Naruto and his buddies were preparing to play a water game as Shikamaru made a detour to the Excursions and Activities stand to rent a volleyball while Naruto and Kiba headed straight for the water. Both Kiba and Naruto ran at the same time to the edge of the resort-style pool - jumping off, trying to flaunt their skills. Naruto did a front flip and Kiba made a huge splash with his cannonball - doing whatever they pleased, ignoring the frustrated glares from other resort guests.
Naruto came up from the sparkling pool water, shaking the excess water out of his hair and with his firm chest muscles glistening under the afternoon sun, it was hard for either of the women to ignore.
“Naruto! Heads up!” Shikamaru yelled as he threw the volleyball towards his two friends before kicking his sandals off and diving into the pool head first. Naruto caught the ball and began volley-ing it back and forth between him and his boys.
As the two girls watched the game go on from the comfort of their loungers, Kai nudged her friend who had now thrown on a floppy tan sun hat, trying to conceal her identity.
“Why do you look like you’re hiding?” Kai leaned over to her friend who had sunk down in her chair much further than before.
“Because I am hiding.” she said, tipping the hat further in front of her eyes. “I don’t want Naruto to see me!”
“Ok, but why? That guy is totally hot so what’s the problem?” Kai asked, unsure of why her friend was acting exceptionally shy.
“I don’t know! It’s just… I’m not here for some stupid spring break fling. I’m here to spend quality time with my best friend! Nothing more.” she declared, more so trying to convince herself.
“Don’t be such a scaredy-cat.” Kai responded dryly.
Before another word could be uttered, the volleyball that the boys were playing with flew right over Kiba’s head landing right in the girls’ vicinity, crashing into the green-eyed beauty’s nose causing her aviators to fly off her face.
“Ouch!” she yelled, gripping her nose, trying to soothe the dull ache that now consumed her senses. Her hand was quickly filled with warm blood as her nose began to gush.
“Fuck! Em, are you okay?!” Kai yelled before turning her sights onto the blonde who was now hoisting himself out of the pool and running over. “Why don’t you idiots watch where you’re throwing that damn ball?!” Kai spit at the reckless trio.
“Sorry ladies!” Kiba called over as he stood frozen in shock in the middle of the water - Shikamaru now climbing out to grab his vape from his bag, too anxious to get involved. Plus, he wasn’t a huge fan of blood.
“Wait here.” Kai said, turning her attention back to her friend who sat nearby holding her aching nose and did a sprint over to the 24 hour Guest Services desk to find a first aid kit. Naruto immediately took Kai’s spot, looking completely gutted.
“I’m really sorry! I didn’t see you here!” Naruto began to profusely apologize, obviously panicked that he’d decked the hottest girl he’d ever seen in the face with a ball, giving her a bloody nose.
“Perfect. Great second impression, dumbass.” Naruto thought, mentally smacking himself in the head for practically taking her whole head off.
The young woman glared up at Naruto, a scowl across her face, her eyes meeting his big, apologetic ones. “Are you just intentionally being a menace?” sarcasm and annoyance laced in her tone of voice. “And if so, are you gonna do this all week?”
Naruto sighed, feeling flustered and a bit defeated. As he tried to gather his thoughts, Kai walked back over with towels and a first aid kit ready to assist her friend.
“Sorry it took so long, babes.” she said, sitting down on the lounger, handing Em an additional towel to dab the dried blood from her nose.
Kai suddenly exchanged a mischievous glance between her friend and the tall blonde that stood in front of them - his puppy dog eyes were hard for anyone to resist.
Naruto shot Kai a half smile and a little wave. “Sorry about your friend. Should’ve been more careful.” Kai awkwardly stood there, unsure of what to do as there was a lot of thick tension coating the summer air.
“Uh, I-I’m Naruto.”
Kai slowly nodded, suddenly feeling a bit out of place as she usually felt uneasy around new people. “Kaiya.” she responded. The silence was deafening and fortunately for her, the strong vibration of her phone broke the tension of the uncomfortable situation she found herself in. As she reached into her bikini top and pulled out her Iphone, her heart leapt as she read the name that lit up her phone screen.
“It’s Sasuke!” she gasped. “I gotta take this.” She said before shooting her friend a “I’ll kill him if he tries anything” look, before clicking the green answer button and walking in the opposite direction of where Naruto and her best friend stood.
Boldly enough, despite not having made the best first impression on the ladies he’d just met, Naruto grabbed the chair pulling it closer to where his mystery woman sat.
“Look, can we just start over?” he asked, trying to ensure his desperation wasn’t too evident.
Emiko Haruka was more than just a pretty face. She was passionate about what she believed in, not afraid to speak her mind yet wore her heart on her sleeve. She was a lover, not a fighter. An advocate for all people - but more specifically underrepresented and marginalized groups. Despite the confidence she carried that was often mistaken for bravado she was a huge softie who struggled with depression and anxiety just like any other college student trying to find their way.
Deep down, she wanted to blow off the handsome man she’d met at the bar earlier and tell him to ‘fuck off’ because she could have anyone she wanted but she was drawn to him. Something about his energy. His spirit. Emiko was big on vibes and shockingly enough, she could see that Naruto had the biggest and most kind heart.
Emiko sighed. “Sure.” she said, smiling, flashing Naruto her freshly whitened teeth.
“I’m Emiko.” she said, stretching her dainty, manicured fingers out to shake Naruto’s hand. When Naruto saw that he’d somehow broken her wall down, the biggest grin fell across his face. She could almost hear him breathe a sigh of relief.
“Emiko. I like it.” The blonde’s eyes twinkled as her name rolled off his lips.
The boy felt starstruck. Emi was evoking emotions in a matter of hours that he hadn't felt in 21 years of his life. She was bold. Unapologetic. He loved it and he loved the challenge it brought him.
“-But, you can call me Emi.” she quickly corrected herself, now - grinning like a fool herself.
She didn’t plan on going weak at the knees for some random boy on Spring Break but Naruto’s confidence, his gentleness - his boyish features yet smoking hot body was plenty for Emi to self-indulge in a temporary hook up. What was the worst that could happen?
“Spend the day with me tomorrow.” Naruto declared, hopefulness filled his eyes, praying that his confidence was enough to score some one on one time with Emi.
Emi slyly side-eyed Naruto while trying to suppress a smile. “Is this you asking me out on a date, blondie?”
Naruto erupted into the cutest, raspy fit of laughter. “Yeah, let’s call it that.” That adorable smile never left his face. It was incredibly contagious.
“Meet me on the beach at 11am tomorrow?” he continued.
Emi nodded, more eagerly than she expected to. “What are you planning, Uzumaki?”
“You’ll see.” he said, winking - immediately standing from the pool chair leaving Emi where she sat to reunite himself with his group of friends.
“What about this one?” Emiko held up a neon pink 2 piece string bikini that wrapped around her midsection, trying to persuade Kai to help her make a decision. Kai however, was still buried under the plush white comforter - head under a mountain of pillows.
Kai rolled over, peeking a single light brown eye out from her pillow fortress. “Emi, it’s literally 9am. Why are you like this?”
Emi flopped down on the bed next to her sleepy friend who was clearly not awake enough for her antics. “Because I’m supposed to be meeting Naruto in 2 hours and I want to look cute!”
Kai groaned, forcing herself to sit up in bed, pulling herself out of the depths of the luxurious goose down comforter she’d peacefully been sleeping in 30 minutes prior. “Babe, you’re cute regardless. Don't stress about this date.”
“You’re right. I’m totally just going to go and have 1 date with this boy and call it quits. I will not fall for some random college kid who I’ll probably never see again after this week.” Emi confessed as she stood up to go change in the bathroom, finally settling on the pink bikini.
“That’s the spirit, love! Go with the flow.” Kai encouraged.
Moments later, Emi rejoined her friend in the bedroom, bending over to flip her long, dark brown hair in front of her, being sure to smooth all the edges to capture the perfect messy bun. Emi was a huge fan of her “skunk” style hair and wanted to be sure to show off the light blonde that perfectly contrasted her dark hair.
“Well?” Emiko asked, doing a small turn, showing off for her friend.
“You look HOT and Naruto’s going to think so too!” Kai chirped, who was fixing her own messy bed head from the night before.
“Ah, thanks boo! And you’re sure you don’t mind me spending the day with Naruto?” Emi held her small pinky out towards her best friend, making her swear that there’d be no hard feelings for using their vacation time to hang out with a boy she’d just met.
Kai immediately latched pinkies - no hesitation. “Absolutely. Go and have fun! But! Not too much fun - however; if you do - Use protection, please.”
Emi squealed excitedly at getting Kai’s blessing once again and pulled her friend into a quick hug. “You’re the best, Kaiya!”
“Tell me something I don’t know.” Kai smirked. “Besides, other than spending the day at the Zen Garden Spa with a good book - I’ll be sexting Sasuke while he’s on an evening tour of Big Ben. Casual.” she chuckled.
“Omg, Kai! What if Itachi is nearby?” Emi asked, giggling - overly amused by her friend's obsession with her boy toy.
Kai always had the loner type of personality to begin with, but Sasuke Uchiha made her do things she never thought she would and she’d spend a good majority of time with him if she could.
Kai dismissively waved her hand, “I doubt he’ll be snooping over Sasuke’s shoulder.” she said, shrugging. “Honestly, I’m just hoping it turns into phone sex.” The hazel-eyed beauty snorted. Emi laughed giving her friend one last hug on the way out the door.
>>>
“You made it!” Naruto said cheerily, leaning onto the wooden counter of the Water Sports Rental stand, watching Emi approach him from across the beach.
Emi smoothed the high waisted distressed shorts she wore as Naruto’s beautifully tanned, whiskered face came further into focus. Emi felt her heart flutter as she got closer and closer to Naruto’s tall, sculpted figure.
“Naruto, hi!” Emi lifted an arm to wave to the boy but without a moment’s notice, Naruto outstretched his arm pulling Emi into a large bear hug. Naruto’s strong but gentle arms wrapped around Emi’s neck as her face pressed against his chest - deeply inhaling the scent of fresh rainwater shower gel & sunscreen.
Naruto slightly pulled her out of the hug -  still gripping her shoulders and peering down at her with the goofiest grin on his face, his eyes not daring to tear away from hers. The beautiful mixture of emerald and chartreuse danced around her irises, vying to compete with Naruto’s baby blues.
 “It’s good to see you, Emi!”
Emi swallowed hard under Naruto’s intense, fixated stare, not saying a single word until the stand attendant returned just in time to shake her out of the daze she’d fallen into. Most men didn’t attract Emi in this way. She wasn’t usually left speechless or flustered as men came easy to her. She never had to beg for it or do much worrying about her appearance. Naruto, however; only having known him for 24 hours had the most profound effect on her. There was something about him that pulled her in. Magnetic. She found herself wanting to know more and more about the mystery man who’d caused her Spring Break trip to take an unexpected turn.
After a bit of pleading and a vow to pay for dinner, Naruto had convinced Emi to try stand-up paddle boarding. As the two waded out into the warm, clear Caribbean waters, Naruto instructed Emi on how to get on her board.
“Ok, so you’re gonna want to start on your knees.” Naruto took Emi’s arm ready to help her onto the 11 foot teal and orange board they’d rented.
Emi immediately smirked, furrowing her brows together. “I bet you’d like that, huh Naruto?”
Naruto’s face began to heat up, corresponding with the rosy shade that had washed over his cheeks. “I- I didn’t mean it like… I…” he stuttered.
Emi laughed. “Dammit, why is he so cute when he’s flustered?” She thought.
“Just messin’ with you, Naruto. I’m ready for real this time.” Emiko spoke up.
Naruto spent the next 45 minutes in awe watching Emiko master the art of the paddle board while occasionally falling into the water over and over after both him and her had finally gotten good enough with the board to stand up and explore the surrounding reefs a bit. Naruto was seriously impressed at the way she’d picked up a new skill in less than an hour. He couldn’t help but get totally and completely consumed in her presence. Her spirit was electric - like something he’d never experienced before and he just couldn’t pull himself away.
“You’re really awesome Emi. Ya know that?” Naruto said as he watched Emi pull her two toned hair out of its high bun as it fell in thick waves down her back. He even studied the way her pink puffy lips would pout forward at the effort it took her to wring her locks out. Everything she did enticed him.
Caught off guard, Emi looked shocked at Naruto’s seemingly random compliments. “I’ve been told a time or two, I suppose.” Emi said as she jokingly flipped her hair over her shoulder. “But for real, you are as well Naruto. If you weren’t so cute, I’d never let you ruin my hair on a date like this.” She joked, feet still dangling over either side of the paddle board.
Naruto slid off his board, splashing into the warm, shallow water - wading over directly in front of Emi, settling next to where her right leg hung over.
“You... think I'm cute?” He asked, genuinely perplexed yet excited to discover the feelings were mutual.
“Of course I do.” She said, slightly leaning forward on the board letting her blonde bangs frame her face as she got closer to Naruto’s.
Naruto couldn't hold back the grin that seemed to never leave his face in Emi’s presence. “Cute enough to continue this date? I’m having such a blast with you!”
“Oh, absolutely. You aren’t getting rid of me that easily.”
Emi & Naruto had completed their first activity of their all day date and proceeded to spend the rest of afternoon attached at the hip. Around 3pm, immediately following their lunch date - Naruto had finally mustered the courage to hold Emi’s hand as they walked along the beach talking and getting to know each other. It was nothing shy of a cheesy romance cliché but neither of them cared. They just enjoyed each other’s company as they began to learn the basics of who they were as young adults navigating life.
>>>
As nighttime fell and the once sweltering daytime sun had turned the sky into dark hues of purple and orange, Naruto made sure to let Emi know to change into something suitable for dinner but nothing too over the top as he was planning something particularly special.
“Okay, open your eyes when I count to 3.” Naruto said as he held both hands over Emi’s eyes slowly guiding her across the plush sand to the spot where they’d be having dinner.
“1…2…3!”
Naruto released his hands from Emi’s line of view revealing a beach front picnic setup that was to die for. A large woven burgundy blanket was sprawled across the sand being expertly illuminated by the orange glow of the tiki torches that were lit nearby. Grapes, shrimp cocktail, a cheese platter, and a bottle of red wine were the few things Emi picked out at first glance as she stood, mouth agape, in pure disbelief at the picnic Naruto had taken the time to put together.
“Naruto, oh my god…” Emi was practically speechless. No one had ever put this amount of thought into any date she’d ever been on. “You did all this for me?!” She exclaimed.
Naruto nervously chuckled. “Well, I had a bit of help from the staff.” He shrugged and grabbed Emiko’s hand as he helped her sit down on the blanket.
Emi sat still for a moment, taking in the elements around her - the beautiful, carefully selected spread, the smell of the ocean water and the melodic sound of the waves crashing against the shore. She certainly didn’t fail to notice how handsome Naruto looked in his crisp, white linen button down tee and khakis. His eyes were as stunning as always, even the way his blonde hair was just long enough to tickle his lashes. Emi thoroughly enjoyed taking in every bit of the handsome man that sat in front of her.
“You look really beautiful, by the way…” Naruto said, clearing his throat - feeling slightly uncomfortable at Emi’s extended amount of silence.
Emi snapped herself back to reality long enough to give Naruto a much deserved response this time. “You’re so sweet Naruto. You look amazing yourself. Sheesh.” She said, fanning herself playfully.
Naruto filled her ears once more with that wonderfully infectious laugh of his. “Ya know, orange is my favorite color.” He said, pointing at the flowy sundress that Emiko had chosen for the night. “It looks really good on you.”
Naruto found his view to be a delight as Emi’s dress hugged the upper part of her body, causing her cleavage to slightly spill over - cinching at the waist. The rest of the dress flowed outward from her body, stopping just above the knees. Naruto pushed his intrusive, horny thoughts to the back of his mind. He genuinely enjoyed Emiko’s presence and didn’t want to scare her off by making her feel like he was only interested in her appearance - as this was far from the truth.
Emi’s hand instinctively flung to the gold chain she was wearing, fidgeting with it as she never quite knew how to take compliments despite being such a gorgeous girl.
“Is that so?”
“Sure is.” He replied.
“Hm. So what else is there to know about you?” Emi asked, genuinely intrigued, popping a green grape into her mouth.
“Well, what do you want to know?”
“Who is Naruto Uzumaki?” Emi pressed.
Naruto scratched his chin, pondering - being sure that the next words that came from his mouth were careful and accurate.
“Loyal. The most loyal guy you’ll meet.” he began, before sucking the cocktail sauce off of a shrimp and shoving it in his mouth, being mindful of the tail.
“Go on…” Emi replied, eyes glued to Naruto, now completely invested in wanting to know every bit of the boy who’d consumed her mind for the past few days.
“I’m a bit clumsy. Stubborn. I can be pretty loud. I eat way too much cup ramen and I’m not the cleanest guy in the world.” Naruto awkwardly scratched the back of his head, slightly worried about the unintended word vomit - as if he’d shared too many traits that didn't exactly paint him in the best light.
“However” he continued. “I’ll give you the shirt off my back. I’ll never give up or go back on my word. I’m more of the optimist type and If I care for you - I care deeply, wholly.” The blonde boasted, grinning proudly.
Emi was slightly taken aback by Naruto’s realness but she appreciated him so much for it. “Sounds like your mama raised you right.” Emi gave Naruto a look that radiated warmth.
Naruto paused, staring down at the plate of food in front him as if he was rewinding every memory he had of his childhood right then and there, pondering how to respond.
“Er. Not exactly. Both my parents died when I was a baby.”
Emi’s eyes blew wide open hearing the confession, letting out a silent gasp. Time felt as though it had stopped at the realization that she may have unintentionally brought up a touchy subject.
“Naruto…I-” she paused, gently placing her hand on top of his.
Naruto chuckled. “It’s okay. You didn’t know.” Naruto squeezed her hand a bit tighter signaling that there were no hard feelings.
“Way to ruin the mood, Em.” she thought to herself.
“Um - we can talk about something else.” Emi eyed Naruto carefully, trying to read his emotions however, his expression never wavered. His eyes captivated with hers, full of wonder.
“No. I like this. It’s real - raw.” he shook his head, letting out a hoarse laugh. “Besides…If I want to pull back every layer of you. It’s only fair I start first, hm?”
“I suppose so, I just feel terrible.” Emi looked down, self pity coursed through her whole body.
“Don't.” Naruto assured her. “I had a lot of pretty amazing teachers & mentors growing up, so - I think I still turned out ok.” he winked at Emiko causing her to blush. She was so thankful for the way the night sky hid her flushed cheeks.
“What about your family?” The Uzumaki asked.
Emi sighed, mentally preparing herself for the conversation to come. “I don’t have much of a relationship with my mom. She struggled with alcoholism for as long as I could remember until one day - the visits just stopped and I never saw her again…” Emi’s beautiful green eyes immediately fell at the few distant memories she still held of her mother.
Imari Tomo was once a kind, ambitious young girl who dreamt of changing her circumstances to help provide for her family - giving them the life they deserved. She persevered just enough to gain her first job at a small farmer’s market at the age of 15. It didn’t provide much but it prolonged her family from falling into even worse financial ruin. Imari quickly met a young man named Daiki Haruka who was visiting Japan for the summer and made it a point to buy whatever groceries he and his family needed from Imari’s fruit stand.
Despite having never married - Imari and Daiki connected instantly, which eventually led to the birth of Emiko at the rare age of 16. Imari’s family - having extremely traditional views, decided that they didn’t want to be involved with helping raise their teenage daughter and her new baby. The pressures of having dropped out of school to raise a newborn baby with a man she’d quickly fallen for had evoked a dangerously negative response over time - causing Imari to turn to alcohol. Desperate to numb the pain, she let the demons of her past trauma win, ultimately affecting the way she could show up for her daughter. Unfortunately, Imari later lost custody of Emi around the age of 2.
“Emi…That’s a really difficult situation.” Naruto’s eyes filled with sorrow as he learned the rocky upbringing of the girl who seemed to be so confident - so well rounded and put together.
“D-Do you know what happened to her? Why the visits stopped?” Naruto winced slightly, unsure if this was a question that was even appropriate to ask. Now nervous, he picked up his wine glass, throwing back a huge gulp of the deep red merlot that sat atop the bamboo serving tray in front of him.
“Mhm. When my dad finally had enough of her stumbling into our scheduled visits completely plastered out of her mind.” Emi spat out, the words sounding bitter as they rolled off her tongue.
“Emi…” Naruto began.
A small smile crept upon the Haruka’s lips. “I’m fine, really. Fortunately, my dad has been a rockstar over the years and of course, lots and lots of therapy.”
Naruto slid on the burgundy blanket to settle himself closer to where Emi sat. He really admired her bravery. Her vulnerability. Her strength to confide in him the way she just had. Something about the confession made him feel - special. As if he’d broken down yet another wall.
“Thank you for sharing that. It means you’re getting comfortable with me, yes?” Emi giggled at Naruto’s ability to be completely upfront, honest and 100% himself in any given situation. His boldness continued to draw her to him.
“You could say that.” Emi replied just above a whisper as her smile began to grow bigger than before.
Naruto, now sat practically hip to hip with Emi, their crossed legs brushing against each other as he slowly leaned in - the warm ocean breeze slipping through his hair with ease. Naruto prayed that Emiko would pick up on the obvious gesture that he’d wanted to try landing a kiss. To his pleasant surprise, Emi followed suit by leaning in, following his lead. Their faces were mere inches from each other - Naruto’s warm breath tickling her top lip when suddenly the whirring of a beach golf cart could be heard. The cart sped up next to their blanket, practically out of nowhere - startling the two, causing them to jump backwards, breaking the intimacy.
“Sorry, you two. The private beach access closes after a certain time.” The man on the golf cart peered down at the lovers on the blanket, completely unbothered by the fact he’d clearly interrupted a moment. “Safety thing.” he shrugged.
Both Naruto and Emi let out soft sighs of frustration as Naruto quickly hopped up, shaking off any sand that had gotten on his pants. “Sorry sir, we’re leaving now.” Naruto complied with the beach security guard, simply to not further ruin the vibe of the night and cause any unnecessary issues due to his stubbornness. As the golf cart whisked away, Naruto turned back to Emi - his tall, built physique hovering over her.
“Wanna do something fun?” Naruto’s face lit up - determined to not let the rest of the night go to waste.
Emi crossed her arms, shivering from the slight evening beach chill. “Depends. It’s getting kind of late and I should probably get back to my friend, Kai.” she said, staring down at her freshly painted white toes that were casually settling themselves into the soft white sand beneath her.
“Swim with me.” He looked down at her - his light blonde hair falling forward, letting his doe-like cerulean orbs pierce Emi’s sparkling emeralds.
“Right now?” Emi inhaled sharply, surprised at Naruto’s spontaneity.
He nodded his head. “Mhm! My friends are going to be at the Casino for at least another hour and we have a small private pool.” he beamed, eyes full of desire in hopes that Emi would take him up on his offer.
Emi stood staring up at Naruto momentarily as she weighed the pros and cons of spending just 1 more hour with the man she was now head over heels for. She knew, deep down, that Kai would understand and that she encouraged her to have her little rendezvous without feeling guilty for it. Besides, she knew that her best friend had probably gotten Sasuke to agree to the phone sex she’d been looking forward to. Emi couldn't help but to giggle at her thought process and her friend’s undying love for Sasuke Uchiha.
“You’re lucky I keep a spare bikini in my bag at all times.” Emi finally said as Naruto’s smile stretched from ear to ear, grateful that his persuasion proved to be successful.
“YES! Let’s go. It’ll be fun, I promise.” he smirked, grabbing Emi’s hand, intertwining his fingers with hers.
>>> Emi was pleased that she’d allowed herself one last adventure on her extended date with Naruto. Adorned in a fiery red thong bikini, she sat on the edge of the pristine pool, dangling her feet into the slightly chilly water waiting for Naruto to come out of the Bungalow to join her. A loud slam of a wooden door was enough for Emi to turn around, her eyes meeting a shirtless Naruto.
 As he padded across the concrete, Emi’s exceptionally slow sex life was enough to have her sweating bullets as she watched Naruto carefully. Not only was his chest firm and lean but his abs were chiseled to perfection. Emi licked her lips ever so slightly as her eyes followed every ridge and curve on Naruto’s God-like body. Her eyes continued to fall lower and lower as she spotted light brown tufts of happy-trail hair that disappeared into the depths of his swim trunks that hung low on his waist. The orange colored trunks he’d put on were slightly tighter than the previous ones Emi’s had seen him in. This time, there was an obvious outline of his bulge that one couldn’t miss if they’d tried.
Naruto stood, smirking - amused at the way Emiko was admiring his figure, much like he’d done to her many times in the past. “Hey - my eyes are up here.” he used two fingers to gesture to his blue eyes and back to Emi.
Emi burst out laughing knowing she’d been caught, but seeing as she’d caught Naruto gawking at her tits the first day they met, she figured at this point - they were even. Naruto erupted into laughter with her before running and jumping into the cool pool water in front of him. Emi slid down from the concrete into the pool, gently wading, trying to get accustomed to the temperature.
Naruto waded towards Emi who had laid flat on her back - simply floating, staring at the large, dark green palm trees that enveloped the pool in all its lush goodness. Naruto, being the man-child he was - sunk under the water once more and began blowing bubbles. He was so eager for Emi’s attention, the poor boy would’ve tried anything.
“You done checking me out now?” he joked, turning his head towards Emi who silently floated nearby, resting his elbows against the cool concrete - back on the edge of the pool.
“Are you?” she spit back.
A raspy laugh left Naruto’s lips. “Never that.”
Emi eventually broke out of her floating position and slowly walked towards the edge of the pool, settling herself next to where Naruto stood. “Thanks for such an amazing date. It’s the best I’ve ever had.”
Naruto cocked his head to the side, brows furrowed; perplexed. “Thank me? No. Thank you for even giving someone like me the time of day.” he said, now standing face to face in front of Emi.
Emi batted her lashes peeking up at the striking blonde that stood over her. She really felt as though she’d been living a cliché teen summer rom-com for the past few days but it didn’t bother her as much as she thought it would. Naruto was special and what she started to feel for him wasn’t as fleeting as some summer box office teen movie that would be forgotten about the following season - her feelings were there to stay and while that left her terrified, she vowed to stay fully present in the moment rather than trying to plan 10 steps ahead, the way she always did.
“It’s not hard because… I really, really like you, Naruto.” Emi wrapped her arms around Naruto’s neck, pulling his body closer to hers than before.
“I really like you too, Emi. I haven’t stopped thinking about you since the day we met.” Naruto pressed his body flush against hers, her back flat against the pool wall. His head hung slightly lower than before, much closer to her face.
“It scares me…” Emiko whispered as she rested her forehead on Naruto’s chest, arms still wrapped around his neck, caressing the slick, blonde hair that laid flat at the base of his skull.
“It scares me too…” Naruto began. “-But, I don't shy away from things just because they get a little scary, you know?”
Naruto could barely get the last word of his sentence out before Emi stood on her tiptoes, clinging onto Naruto’s cheek pulling his face to meet hers. Without a second thought, she feverishly pressed her plump lips onto Naruto's, who quickly melted into the unexpected kiss. His tongue darted into her mouth, swiping against every corner he could reach - His strong hands wanted to explore every inch of her, as he tightly gripped Emi’s waist.
The two of them got lost in the heat of the moment, savoring every needy touch. Their makeout session growing more intense by the second. Naruto pulled his lips away from Emi’s and attached them to her jaw bone - boldly gripping onto the round, jiggly, flesh that her thong left deliciously exposed for his pleasure. Emi inhaled sharply - gasping, letting out a soft moan that the forcefulness of Naruto’s hand on her ass and the overwhelming sucking on her neck pulled out of her.
Naruto was now painfully hard in his swim trunks and wanted nothing more than to discard them, sliding her thong to the side and filling her pretty cunt with him in one hard swoop. Naruto grabbed Emi’s plushy thigh, guiding her leg around his waist and she quickly followed suit by wrapping her other leg around Naruto.
“Fuck.” Naruto breathed out now feeling Emi’s core pressing firmly against his large member - only a small sliver of fabric keeping her from being completely exposed.
Her large breasts pushed forward in her tiny red swim top which made Naruto go feral at the way they gently squished against his own chest. Boldly, he slipped his large, veiny hand under her swim top giving a firm but gentle squeeze, causing Emi to arch her back at the sensation of it all. Naruto wasn’t ready to let up as he leaned in once more, gently nibbling her earlobe. Desperate panting filled the bungalow’s backyard as Emiko was now flesh against the pool wall once more trapped in between the concrete siding and Naruto’s hard body as he began gyrating his hips into Emi’s aching core, creating friction between both their privates.
Emi didn’t hesitate to attach her lips back to Naruto’s, now filling his lungs with her lust-filled moans. Growing more and more impatient at all the teasing that had quickly begun to feel like torture, Emiko’s hand darted in front of her, fiddling with the strings on Naruto’s swim trunks, trying to undo them, eager to wrap her hands around his evidently large cock.
Suddenly, the wood creaked on the bungalow door causing them to pause immediately, snapping their heads towards the back door - their eyes both met Kiba Inuzuka’s chocolate ones.
“Woah there!” Kiba yelled in pure shock at the scene he’d just walked in on.
Embarrassed, Emi quickly jumped down from Naruto’s midsection and backed away.
 “Kiba, what the hell?!” Naruto roared, annoyed that his friends seemed to appear back at the room much sooner than he expected.
To make matters worse, Shikmaru popped his head out of the door as well to see what all the commotion was about.
“Daaammnnn, our bad.” he said shrugging before his black pony tail disappeared back into the living space.
Naruto groaned and hoisted himself out of the pool, turning back to help lift Emi out as well, who scrambled to grab her coverup. “I thought you guys were gonna be out much longer..” he said through gritted teeth.
Kiba shrugged. “We got bored. But I see someone was here getting busy enough for ALL of us.” he smirked, nudging Naruto’s shoulder.
Naruto smacked his forehead, “Just go. I’ll be inside in a bit.” frustration clear in his tone.
“I’m so sorry about them…I- I didn’t know they’d be back early.” Naruto pleaded to Emi who was now already fully dressed, bags in hand.
Emiko caressed the faint whiskers on Naruto’s cheek, lovingly - full of care, as she watched him look down at her- baby blues filled with guilt.
“I had a great night. Text me, ok?” Emi pleaded before planting one last kiss onto Naruto’s cheek, turning to walk the path away from him and his friends’ shared bungalow, leaving the blonde standing frozen in his tracks - filled with admiration and awe.
>>>
The final day at the beautiful Key Largo resort had finally come and the realization that Naruto would be going his separate way from Emi had him tossing and turning in his sleep the night before. While the two sets of friends began to spend as much time together as they possibly could during the remaining days of Spring Break, it didn’t change the fact that Naruto and his buddies would be staying in Florida and Emi and Kai would be traveling back home to Nevada. Nothing they did changed the harsh reality that they faced this Sunday morning. He knew it may have been a bit silly to have gotten so invested in a girl he met on holiday but Emiko did things to him that he never knew were possible. He felt so at peace in her presence, dare he even say - unworthy of her care, attention or affection.
Naruto was particularly quiet this morning as he’d promised Emiko the night before that he’d say goodbye to her before she and Kai left for the airport. As he carefully sat on the edge of his bed and packed his bags, Kiba didn’t hesitate to pry into his friend's emotions that day.
“Naruto, chin up buddy!”
Naruto glared up at Kiba, clearly unamused by his lame attempt to shift the mood. “Can you leave me alone for a bit? Naruto begged, causing Kiba to frown as Naruto’s normally cheerful demeanor was nowhere to be found.
Kiba sighed, “All this moping around over a random girl you met on vacation? You’re better than this! We’re going to go back to FSU and get you connected with some babes on campus next semester.” he beamed, quite careless with his words.
“Dammit Kiba, can you shut the hell up?!” Naruto fumed, a scowl plastered across his face - immediately seeing red.
He knew his friends always meant well but he wasn't in the mood for any cheer up tactics. He wanted to wallow in his sadness a bit longer, something he was rarely afforded the opportunity to do.
Kiba looked shocked at Naruto’s outburst which caused Shikamaru to peek his head in, always curious of what was going on between his two unhinged best friends.
“Chill out guys. It’s barely 10am. You’re doing too much…” he said as he dragged a hit from his vape.
“Kiba is being obnoxious as usual and I’m not im not in the mood.” Naruto growled. Kiba rolled his eyes, giving his friend the middle finger and walked across the bungalow to his own room to continue packing.
Shikamaru sighed and took a seat next to Naruto knowing that Kiba wasn’t equipped to handle such a serious topic. “Wanna talk about it, man?”
Naruto let out a raspy groan, letting his head fall into his hands. “Dude, I’m all messed up. I can’t shake this feeling and I just… I don’t wanna see her go.” Naruto immediately poured his guts to Shikamaru, already expecting a more logical, level headed response from him.
“I can tell she means a lot to you… so why don’t you try to make it work with her?” Shika asked, voice as monotone as ever, nonchalantly taking another hit from his vape pen.
“I really want to but… she lives across the country! With her being at university in Nevada and me in Florida, I’m not sure if it’ll work. We won't even be in the same time zone.” Naruto groaned once more, head hanging low feeling full of defeat.
“Look. I don’t know much about all this romance crap, but there’s a little thing called Facetime. If you care about this girl, put your big boy pants on and do what you have to do to make it work.” Shikamaru replied, leaning back on his hands on the plushy bed, savoring the comfort of it one last time.
Naruto’s eyes looked dead and a little sunken in from all the worrying he had done. No other girl could pull this kind of emotion from him. He was used to quick fucks and one night stands that only satisfied a momentary need but Emiko completed him in a way that no one else had. It’s like, in a matter of 7 days she’d filled his heart perfectly, in which no other woman accomplished prior to her.
As silence filled the room, Shikamaru let Naruto sit with his words for a bit before patting him on the back and escorting himself out of the room. Naruto checked his watch and realized that Emi and Kai’s shuttle would be at the resort entrance to pick them up in 10 minutes and raced outside the luxurious bungalow, desperate to make it to the front gates.
As Naruto got closer to the front, he spotted Kai sitting on top of a bulging suitcase trying her best to zip it closed.
“Kai! Where’s Emi?” Naruto asked in a panic.
Kai laughed. “Calm down, lover boy. She went to the bathroom.”
Naruto chuckled uncomfortably as he shoved his hands in his shorts pockets, staring at the ground. Suddenly, a beautifully familiar voice graced the Uzumaki’s ears.
“Naruto!” Emiko raced out of the nearby bathroom stall and jumped into Naruto’s arms burying her head in his neck. She kept getting whiffs of his musky cologne which made her head spin with delight. She did her best to relish in all of Naruto Uzumaki’s glory once more for what may be a long time.
“Emi! I’m so glad to see you!” he replied cheerfully.
 It was as if all the sadness in his heart had temporarily dissipated. Naruto pulled Emi out of the hug, gripping her shoulder blades with intent.
“Em. We really need to talk…”
Emi nodded her head, bracing herself for this conversation and reveling in what the last 10 minutes of vacation would mean for them. “Go on…”
Naruto inhaled, letting out a deep breath. “This has been the craziest, most magical week of my life and whatever happened past those gates-” he paused, turning to point at the resort entrance behind them. “-I don’t wanna let it go.”
Emi’s eyes began to overflow with the tears she swore she wouldn’t cry. Naruto pulled her head towards his chest, gently caressing her scalp - not caring that her tears would stain his shirt as she quietly sobbed on him. “I don’t want to let go either… so. What do we do? Because in 3 hours I’ll be on a plane to Nevada.”
Naruto sat still, arms still wrapped around Emi’s body that was much smaller than his own. He held onto her so tight, he was afraid he’d crush her. Naruto grabbed Emiko by the chin, tilting her head to look up at his sky blue eyes that were now filled with tears of their own.
“Take a leap of faith with me. Be my girlfriend?” Naruto's eyes maintained contact with Emi’s, practically burning a hole in her irises. He held his breath, terrified he wouldn't receive the answer that he so badly wanted to hear.
“Long distance, Naruto?” Emi asked hesitantly.
Deep down, she wanted to trust Naruto and place her heart on a silver platter in his hands to have and to hold but the logical part of her brain worried that doing long distance with a boy she’d practically just met was nuts and she would have no way of knowing if he was being loyal to her.
“How can I trust you?” she continued, her arms resting casually around Naruto’s midsection.
“I never go back on my word.” Naruto plastered a toothy grin on his face.
“He’s such a charming motherfucker.” Emi thought, feeling Naruto’s pleas tug at her heartstrings once more.
“We’ll Facetime every day. I’ll even fly you back out to Florida so we can spend time together. Just please - give me the opportunity to prove to you that I can be the man you need me to be.” Naruto’s puppy dog eyes were hard to resist and Emi wasn’t used to having a guy fight so hard for her. It was certainly different and she loved it.
“Don’t let me down.” Emiko said as she pressed her head back into Naruto’s chest once more, trying to get all her final hugs in. Naruto smiled ear to ear at the realization that this was Emi’s way of saying she’d take him up on his offer.
“So…that’s a yes?” He asked for certain reassurance.
Emi nodded her head excitedly. “Yes, you goofball! Let’s try it.” Naruto roared with laughter as he picked Emiko up, twirling her around.
 A black shuttle bus finally pulled to the front gate which signaled it was finally time to go. Kai gave Emi space to say her final goodbyes to Naruto and loaded the bus with both their luggage.
“Well, this is it.” Emi said, wiping a tear from her eye.
“Yep, but I’ll see you soon Emiko.” Naruto smiled and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
“See you soon, Naruto.”
Naruto stood back in awe as he watched Emi load onto the shuttle bus to the airport, letting a thousand emotions wash over him at once. Emiko Haruka had changed his world for the better in a matter of days and he was eager to see where their adventure would take them.
After all, she certainly gave him the Spring Break he’d never forget.
Love me Mercilessly
Chapter 9: Smoke
Akami is forced to recount her past to Minato (and the council). Unveiling the truth about her father only adds to Orochimaru's long list of crimes. In doing so she has to admit to her own disgraceful acts; the ones that keep her up at night.
Warnings: mentions of trauma, manipulation, canonical character death.
Word count: 3k
Catch up here! Ao3
Minato wanted to give her time, but they didn’t really have time. They needed any lead on Orochimaru they could find.
Minato knocked on Akami's door early the next day. Kushina sent him with food. She said it was hard to talk on an empty stomach. Akami was hesitant to eat. Minato had told her that his wife made it especially for them and he couldn’t wait for them to meet. He convinced her enough to take a bite. It was nothing special really, just some Onigiri; something she had a dozen times. But she had never eaten anything that tasted so good, she swore she could taste it with every fiber of her being. So they ate and he listened as she recounted everything she tried so hard to forget.
**
Once Orochimaru had come across Hashirama Senju's DNA a new pet project was born; he would have a child.
Mold that child in his image and create a new God of Shinobi. First he needed to find a mate with a strong Kekkei Genkai and a weak resolve.
He found that in Umiko Ketsueki, a Konohagakure kunoichi crushed by the weight of this unforgiving world. Umiko was a descendant of the Yuki clan from the Land of Water. Her family had escaped the Civil war years ago, finding refuge in the Hidden Leaf Village but she was all that remained. The Yuki clan had a rare Kekkei Genkai, the yielders having both Water and Wind nature; granting them Ice release.
Orochimaru was a cautious man. He wasn’t sure if a body could unnaturally withstand the stress of maintaining two Kekkei Genkai. So he tested his theory on Umiko first.
She didn’t seem to develop any sort of abilities, not mokuton and certainly not regeneration. In fact she was dying.
Well maybe he needed to start earlier, introduce the foreign bodies to the immune system in childhood, children were much more adaptable after all.
Orochimaru was cross when his daughter was born, he had coveted a son.
Since Umiko had fallen ill it seemed Akami would come to be his only child. He didn’t want to waste such a rare specimen. Orochimaru managed to capture many children for his experiments, but none seemed to work. The children were dying too. It didn’t matter their age, or weight, the level of chakra they had or didn’t have. They all died.
He continued to train his daughter, but his interest was waning. When they moved further into fire country, he thought of a wonderful new use for his little girl.
**
Orochimaru heard rumors of a clan that could turn to smoke, the Iburi clan. He needed samples, he needed to understand how it worked. He needed to gain their trust.
And how wonderful for him that there seemed to be plenty of children in this clan.
What purpose would they have to fear a child? He supposed his daughter was cute. She resembled her mother quite a bit, but not nearly as beautiful as Umiko.
**
Orochimaru returned to their hideout late one night.
He knew exactly where to find his daughter at this hour. He slithered into his study and as predicted there she was. Sitting cross legged on the floor leaning against the bookcase reading about the History of the Land of Iron. Akami liked his study, and so long as she stayed out of his lab Orochimaru didn’t mind her reading through his collection.
“I have a task for you, my pet.” Akami closed the book as her father spoke, keeping a finger squished between the pages to mark her place.
“You see there’s this clan, I need them. And they certainly need me. I want you to...get close to them.”
“Get close?” She questioned.
“Yes, I want you to make some friends. There are plenty of children in the clan. You can play with them, gain their trust. Learn from them.”
“I can go play?” She asked, masking a smile and making sure she had heard him correctly.
“Yes, but it is important that you not tell them too much about us, not until I tell you. For now just play nice. No, no you won't’ be needing those blades, hand them over.”
She had become attached to the blades her mother had given her. They had this beautiful emblem engraved in the metal just above the hilt. She didn’t want to part with them, but nonetheless she listened to her father.
**
Akami was apprehensive but excited. She sat by a tree day in and day out, watching the kids play too shy to confront them. They played in a ditch, corralled in by earth. She was sick of being hidden in the earth.
After watching them for a few days one of the boys had come over to where she was sitting.
“Do you want to play with us?” He gestured towards the group of kids. Akami nodded. The boy extended his hand to her, she looked at it confused. When she made no motion to take it, he grabbed her hand and hauled her to her feet. He asked for her name.
And supplied his own with a smile. “Tenzo.”
They taught her a game they had made up, she learned the rules quickly and won the third time they played and every time after that. She found she quite enjoyed winning. Tenzo was nice, and she was having fun: so much so that she forgot why she was there. She didn’t really care much, not even when her father had been cross with her for learning nothing more than Tenzo had a little sister.
**
Tenzo brought Akami to meet his family. She quickly took note that many of the adults would wince in pain, and that no one in their clan looked very old at all. The first time she saw one of them turn to smoke she gasped, not from fear but from excitement.
Tenzo’s father seemed hesitant to reveal their clan's secrets, but she was just a little girl afterall. So he explained.
Their clan had a Kekkei Genkai that would allow them to turn to smoke, it was stronger in the youngsters of the clan, but it was incredibly difficult to control.
Akmai wanted to know more, but she kept the rest of her questions to herself. When she returned home she thought maybe father would know, he knew a lot of things. So she told him what she learned.
He smiled at her and patted her head, “you’ve done well my pet.”
**
Akami continued to play with Tenzo,  and he became her friend. Her first and only friend.
While the two played near his home they overheard sounds and voices coming from the nearby town. Tenzo sighed.
“I wish we could go into town.” Akami knew she shouldn’t go anywhere without her father, but why couldn’t he go.
“The world is dangerous for me and my people. If we turn to smoke and get blown away, we could die. So we have to stay here.”
“So that’s why you live underground?” She mused. “I can’t go either, father makes me stay at home.”
“We should leave! We could run away, go anywhere!” Tenzo took her hands.
“My clan doesn’t get it. They’re happy to wait here to die. I’d rather travel the whole world!”
She thought about the things she read in Orochimaru’s books, scrolls of  jutsu he had taken from villages all around the world. She wanted to see those villages some day...
Akami laid awake that night imaging what the rest of the world was like. She and Tenzo could run away and have adventures like the main character from her favorite book. Tales of Gutsy Ninja. This book was different. Her father didn’t have any others like it.
When Orochimaru found her reading it he had been furious, she didn’t understand why.
He was so angry that he threatened to feed her to Manda; she knew he wouldn’t or rather couldn’t as Manda far preferred her. Still it was frightening when he was angry.
When he eventually left her alone again she went back into his study and took it down from the top shelf, she needed to know how it ended.
Tenzo would like that book too, maybe she would sneak it out for him.
**
“Akami my pet, I’m going with you today. I think I can save their clan.”
If he could fix them Tenzo and her really could leave!
Akami introduced her father to the Iburi clan leaders; she admitted that she had a Kekkei Genkai as well and that he had been the one to help her control her abilities. She boasted endlessly of his knowledge and Orochimaru so generously offered to help his daughter's new friends.
He had taken blood samples from most of the adults. He knew it wasn’t enough, but he had to be patient. As he suspected, their blood reacted well to the samples he had gathered from [Jugo’s*] clan.
Orochimaru was right, the curse seal helped stabilize their Kekkei Genkai. It didn’t fix the problem but it helped. They trusted him more. This was good, everything was going to plan. But Akami was getting too comfortable. He had to fix that. She belonged to him. This Tenzo boy was a bad influence.
**
Orochimaru had spoken with Tenzo’s father for quite some time. Tenzo would be coming home with them. Akami was so excited, she couldn’t wait to show him all of her favorite books. She'd finally have a friend to talk to; she wouldn’t be alone anymore.
It was late when they returned home and Orochimaru sent the children to bed. Akami was too excited to sleep, she crept out of her room and retrieved her beloved book from her father’s study. She knocked on the door of the spare room and when Tenzo didn’t answer she went inside. Only Tenzo wasn’t there, she searched for him but couldn’t find him. There was only one place left to look.
Akami stood in the doorway of her fathers lab and found Tenzo cowering in the corner of the room crying, she clutched the book tighter to her chest.
“Tenzo..?”
When he looked up at her he looked angry. “I want to go home!” He cried out. “I don’t want to be here anymore!”
Why was he in here?
“Tenzo, let's go back to my room, I brought you this.” She pulled the book from her chest to show him.
“We can run away and have adventures like-”
“I don’t want to go anywhere with you! I want to go home!” Tenzo recoiled further away from her.
Akami was upset, confused and angry. Why was he saying this? This wasn’t supposed to happen, they were supposed to run away!
She heard soft clicking coming from the other side of the room. Orochimaru leaned off the wall shaking his head and walked towards his daughter.
“Such a shame my pet.”
What was going on?
“It would appear that this whole time he was only using you.”
“Using me..?” She whimpered under her breath.
“Yes.” He hissed. “He wanted your help. He wanted to save his clan. He’s not your friend, my pet. He deceived you. He doesn't care about you.”
Akami let the book fall from her hand. Tenzo said nothing and refused to look at either of them.
“He got what he wanted, I helped his clan. Look at him, he fears you now. He knows it's the truth. He doesn't truly want your friendship. He was only nice to you because he needed you. He played with you because he saw how weak you were. He just wants to cling to his measly life. But we both know he doesn't deserve it, not when he deceived you. Kill him, my pet.”
Orochimaru placed a knife in her empty hand where her worn beloved book slipped from her grasp. She looked down at the knife. Its weight was comforting, the cold steel consoled her.
But...she didn’t want to kill him. He was her friend? Or he wasn’t? He lied to her this whole time? But father…he wouldn’t lie to her would he? He had taught her everything she knew, about ninjutsu, about the world, about who she was. Mother was gone, father was all she had left.
Her mother was weak and now she’s gone.
“He’s beneath you, my pet. You’d be doing the world a favor.”
Akami looked again at Tenzo.
“Tenzo.. Is it- is it true?” He was looking straight ahead and didn’t say a word. If not for his body shaking she would have believed he was frozen solid.
“Aww he can’t even admit his treachery." Orochimaru hissed.
"You know you really should have seen this coming....All of this could have been avoided, but you were so desperate for a friend…and he knew it.” Orochimaru came to stand behind her, encouraging her.
“It’s okay, he deserves it. Go on, just like I showed you. You can end him quickly if you like.”
Tenzo had lied to her. She was stupid to think she could have a friend, this was her fault. She had to fix it. What if father got rid of her too. No he wouldn't. She wasn’t useless, she made a mistake but she could fix it.
“Akami do I need to fix your mistakes?” Orochimaru’s voice had a bite to it now. She thought of what he had told her when her mother died,  “I have no use for the weak.”
And she found that she was angry now, the blade being squeezed in the palm of her hand.
“No.” She growled back. “It’s my fault Father. I’m sorry. I can fix it. I'm now weak. I can fix it…”
**
Akami didn’t remember slicing his throat.
She did remember watching the blood spill down his neck, like a slow steady stream. She remembered her fathers voice, “that’s my girl” whispered with a low chuckle. She remembered going back to her room, her father said he would take care of the rest. She remembered looking in the bathroom mirror, some of Tenzo’s blood was on her face. That didn’t surprise her, what did surprise her were the tears spilling from her eyes much like his blood. Killing him was easy, a lot easier than expected. She was so angry. She didn’t know why. She couldn’t stand to look in the mirror anymore when all she saw was her father's face staring back at her.
She went to bed. She didn’t leave her room for three days. She didn’t read and she didn’t train. Her father came to check on her but she didn’t recall a word he had said and eventually he let her be.
When she finally left her room she found that she was yet again all alone.
Akami tried her hardest to ignore what had happened, what she had done, it was all her fault. But she couldn’t get the scene out of her head, him laying there lifeless, the look in his eyes. Her feet carried her to her fathers lab, like always the door was locked. She needed to go inside, she needed to see what she’d done. She broke the lock and opened the door, the lab looked the same as it always had. There was no blood staining the ground, no body, nothing. The only thing out of place was her book on the counter. She went to collect it walking around the table on the far side, she glanced at the papers haphazardly strewn about. There were symbols and texts she didn’t recognize. She skimmed it when she saw ‘Iburi. ’ A few words stood out to her, ‘senjutsu’ ‘white snake’ ‘Ryuchi cave’ ‘smoke. ’ Akami glanced at his supply closet. It was like an otherworldly force had called her to it. She clutched the book to her chest, opened the closet and stepped inside. She had never been in it before, only seen him grab things from it on occasion. There was yet another door in the back, curious she opened it as well.
The room was impossibly dark, the only light seemed to emit from dozens upon dozens of tubes. They all had an ominous green glow. She stepped closer only to realize that there were bodies floating inside, hooked up to tubes and wires. She walked towards a back wall and there were tons of jars each one labeled with care. She found some vials of blood bearing her name, her mother’s name too.
It felt like she had stepped into a whole other world. There were strange looking drawers under the shelf of oddities. She pulled one open and gasped. It was her mother’s body, but parts of her skin were stark white paler than her and even her father; so pale it didn’t look like skin at all. Why hadn’t he buried her? He told her he had. She stood at her grave- or what he had told her was her grave. She didn’t want to be here anymore. She backed away from the drawer and bumped into one of the glowing green test tubes. The bodies…they were all children. Akami was horrified, this couldn’t be real. What was he doing? She tapped on the glass but got no response. Were they.. No. Why would they be dead? Father didn’t, he couldn’t. Akami looked around the room, there was blood staining parts of the ground and the wall, there were chains suspended high up. Her eye passed over one of the tubes and she saw a familiar face. She ran to it.
“Tenzo..” She brought her hand up to the glass.
“Tenzo!” She screamed, the shock had worn off and now she was terrified.
“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean it! Wake up! Tenzo please! I’ll-I’ll get you out and we can leave, we can run away right now! I can fix it !! You have to wake up!” She banged on the glass, but he didn’t budge. She was pleading to a corpse. She pounded on the glass again, crying out her apologizes. Tenzo never lied, Father had lied. How long had he been lying?
The boy opened his eyes if only for a moment, she stopped and gawked at him, choking out a sob. This wasn’t Tenzo. He was too small, his eyes were too dark. Tenzo was gone, he was dead. She had killed him. She couldn’t fix it. Wherever he was wasn’t here. He had left this world. She was alone and it was all her fault.
Can you pls do a jealous naruto?
A/N: This idea is so cute because the though of it makes me giggle because I can see him doing some innocently dumb things if he's jealous hheheh. Sorry for the delay but here it it!
Naruto Uzumaki X Reader | Jealous Naruto
Tumblr media
So it all started when you were asked to move to the sand village for a long mission that might last up to an year.
You both have been dating for a few months now and just when both of you got a hang of being in a functional relationship and each other's schedules, this happened.
The man work hard and it was something that did bother you because one, you wanted him to not overwork himself each day and two, because you wanted to spend more time with him.
But then you both made a few compromises and settle in middle and just then you were assigned for the mission with Kiba.
Which did hit a nerve in him. Kiba was his competition since the very beginning to get your attention. But now that you were going out on a mission alone with him it really put him in an insecure position.
At first he was whiney and asked if you can select someone else. Oblivious to all this competition you were super confused as to why he was acting so weird. Weren't these two close friends or something?
They were, but not when it comes to you. And you were oblivious to this.
And what didn't helped was the fact that Kiba was also looking forward to this opportunity and didn't even spare a minute to rub it in Naruto's face, as soon as Kiba got to know about the mission.
Naruto tried everything, without you knowing of course, to either get you off of the mission or to be on it as well.
But considering how Akatsuki were out there he never got the permission to do so. And time came and you left. It all happened so quickly and he never felt so helpless.
He didn't even explained this all to you as it will imply that he doesn't trust you, which wasn't the case at all. But since you knew something was up you pushed him to fess up ultimately.
He randomly showed up one day and it felt to you like he missed Kiba more than you with the amount of time they both spent together, you were happy to see him having such good friends when then both were actually bickering the entire time.
Naruto x OC: Kotone Uchiha
If It Kills You Kotone Uchiha didn’t need to be a destined genius to realize the type of situation she was in–being strapped down to a horrid fate of violence and terror in a fictional world of flying ninjas. Slight AU. Hi y'all! I have a story posted up on both ffnet and ao3 and it's a Naruto U. x OC pairing! And this is the best image I have to picture my OC. Since I'm absolutely horrendous at artwork, I used one of those anime avatar makers lol. My idea was inspired by Reze's (Chainsaw Man) design meshed with the design of Mikasa's new hair style at the end of the AoT finale.
