I HOPE YOU KNOW YOU HAVE MY HEART (EVEN IF I DON'T REALLY SHOW IT)
synopsis: co-workers to enemies to friends...? no, that's not right. they skipped the friends part entirely. so, the benefits are... what, exactly?
a/n: wrote this years ago and decided to bring it back to life! with a few edits and revisions, of course. i know some people were disappointed that i took this off the internet, so here it is!
i plan on reposting majority of smutmas at some point throughout the year, so if it's anything to look forward to, i hope you keep your eyes peeled!
— 💓 —
The repetitive ringing tone in Inuyasha’s ears made him grip his steering wheel harder. “Come on, Kagome,” he hissed. “Pick up, pick up, pick up.”
Finally, the tell tale sign of a click resounded. “Hello?”
“Thank fucking God,” he breathed out. “Where are you?”
“I’m out,” she said, and he could hear the bass in the background. “What’s up?”
“Where? I’m picking you up.”
“What? In—” She let out a sharp breath. “No! Are you crazy?”
“Halfway there,” he muttered under his breath. “Look, I’ve had a shitty day, and I need you to blow off some steam.”
“Should I be flattered?” she said sarcastically, then softer, as if she pulled away from the phone. “Just work. I—Hey, Sango, wait—”
He was halfway to the business district and decided to pull over at an emergency bay. The sounds of a scuffle was heard on the receiver, short puffs of wind and rustling. Sooner than later, a new voice floated into his ear. “Hello? Who is this?”
“Kagome’s boss,” Inuyasha snapped.
“Wait—Inuyasha? Why is Inuyasha calling you?” That last part was softer, said to Kagome. She came back. “Why are you calling Kagome?”
“None of your business!”
“Sango!” Inuyasha heard, in various volumes. She must’ve been struggling to snatch her phone back. “Give me back my phone!”
“Of course it’s my business,” Sango said. “She’s my best friend and you’re garbage. Why are you calling her?”
“Garbage?” Inuyasha exclaimed, affronted. “I thought we were friends!”
“The amount of sex you have is unhealthy and every relationship you’ve had has been a dumpster fire,” she pointed out.
“I’m twenty-nine,” he snapped. “The amount of sex I have is just fine, thanks. And it's not my fault all my exes were psychos!”
“Don't call them psychos when you're part of the problem!"
Inuyasha held himself back from flinging his phone. "Ju—"
"The reason why they ended so badly was because you’re an emotionally constipated asshole incapable of communicating and you know it!”
He tried to not break the phone in his grip. This was not the time nor the place to deep dive into his personal issues. "Not the time, okay, Sango? Just let me talk to Kagome."
“Are you gonna have sex with Kagome, too?” she needled.
Sango didn’t have to know the honest answer to that question. “No, for God’s sake. We have an emergency deliverable on Monday.”
“It’s Friday night! Well past office hours!”
“Ask Kagome if she wants to work on it over a full weekend or start tonight and finish tomorrow to get Sunday off,” he snapped.
Sango was evidently Not Happy. “Fine. Ugh, fine. The one time I actually manage to get her out of the house… Kagome, here.”
More rustling.
“Thank you,” Kagome said. “Hey, sorry. So what was that?”
“Sango thinks we’re having too much sex.”
“I heard her little tirade. I know it's a you problem."
Jesus fucking Christ. “Whatever. Message me where you are as soon as I hang up,” he demanded. “Every second longer will make me want to fuck you rougher.”
“You’re so impatient,” she complained. “This is why you don’t have a girlfriend.”
He ignored her and ended the call. His phone darkened as he waited, then lit up again a full minute later, her name popping up on the screen. It took her a full minute. He smirked as he shifted gears and sped away.
As soon as he picked her up, he sped over to a fairly full parking lot and parked in the darkest corner he could find. Before she could ask, he unbuckled his seatbelt and practically assaulted her, pressing his lips to hers and palming her breast over her shirt.
“Inuyasha,” she gasped when he pulled away.
“No bra?” he grinned wickedly. “I should be so lucky.”
“Wasn’t for you,” she snapped, and somehow that irritated him. She pushed him off her. “And what gives? I thought we were going to your place.”
“I’m impatient.”
She shook her head. “No. If I’m gonna be a booty call, I’m gonna get the whole nine yards. That means sex on a comfortable bed and a shower immediately after.”
“Jesus, you’re demanding,” he grumbled, strapping his seatbelt back on and reversing out of the parking lot. “Even my exes didn’t make me work this hard.”
“That explains why we’ve been having sex longer than you’ve been in any relationship,” she quipped.
He didn't respond. Was it Psychoanalyze Inuyasha Night? What the fuck?
His house was a bit of a drive from the central business district, maybe around thirty minutes, and normally Kagome liked to fill the silence. When she wasn’t chatting up a storm like she normally would, he reached over with one hand to push her skirt upwards as he caressed the inside of her warm thigh. “What are you thinking?”
That pulled her out of her reverie. “Huh?”
“Normally you’d be halfway through your tenth conversation topic by now,” he said, flicking on his turn signal. His eyes darted to his mirrors before switching lanes. “What’s up?”
“Oh. Uh, nothing. I just… I guess I didn’t realize it’s been over a year.”
“Since we started having sex?”
“Since your last relationship.”
His face soured. “Can we not talk about that? I wanted to get laid tonight, and you’re killing my boner.”
“Sorry.”
“No, you’re not.”
“You’re right, I’m not.” Kagome reached over and twirled a silver lock that escaped the bun on his head around her finger. “I did this because I wanted to help you, you know.”
Inuyasha scoffed. “And the fact that you also broke up with Kōga around the same time had nothing to do with it?”
“Well, I didn’t say I wasn’t also doing it to help myself.” She shrugged, more nonchalant than he liked. “I’ve always found you cute. Didn’t expect you to say yes to this kind of… arrangement, honestly.”
“Didn’t expect you to propose it,” he said, glancing at her. “Given our… history.”
“You mean you being a complete asshole to me every time you saw me?”
He winced. That was deserved. “I said I was sorry.”
“I know.” She trailed her finger along his jaw. “But… I don’t know. I think I’m not… I think I’m not helping you, anymore.”
His hand stopped the motions along her thigh. “Care to elaborate?"
"Maybe this whole arrangement is just a band-aid solution for your actual relationship problems?" she mused aloud.
"What?"
“Are you even seeing anyone? Like, at all?” she asked, nose wrinkling as she spoke. “Wasn’t that the deal? We blow off steam through sex, go on with our lives. We see other people, and stop this as soon as we do. That’s what we talked about.”
“So? What are you trying to say?” Something clicked in his brain that made him stiffen. “Have you been seeing someone else?” Inuyasha asked, unreasonable rage simmering beneath his skin. “Is that what you’re trying to say?”
“Can you not freak out?” Kagome snapped. “You’re overreacting.”
“I’m not—” he huffed, pulling his hand back and setting it on the steering wheel. “Just give it to me straight. Are you seeing someone else? Enough to make you—make you want to stop… whatever this is?”
“What if I said yes?”
He didn’t know what he would feel—that was a lie, he knew exactly what he would feel, but the unpleasant way his stomach curled, like he was just punched in the gut; the intensity of it wasn’t something he was expecting. He turned to a familiar emotion, instead. “Then why the fuck are you here, then?”
“You called me, remember?” she shot back.
“You didn’t have to say yes!”
“That’s not the point!” she snapped, adjusting herself in the passenger seat to fully face him.
“Then what is your point?!”
“My point is is that maybe this—this—this arrangement is starting to be harmful rather than helpful!” she shouts, throwing her hands in the air and narrowly missing the ceiling of his car. “Just being fuck buddies is becoming a problem! We’re both not in relationships but regularly see each other, and it’s stopping us from seeing other people!”
“We don’t stop each other from seeing other people!” he shot back.
“Inuyasha, I’m not wearing a bra, I have a condom in my purse, and I was ready to get wasted in a club. Yet I’m in your car on my way to your place because I will have sex with you.”
Despite the sheer irritation that manifested itself on his face, Inuyasha took the time to deeply inhale, then exhale. Dealing with Kagome was a true exercise in patience if he’d ever had one, and he’d since learned that she was more receptive when he was visibly calm, or at the very least not shouting, mainly because he’d observed that she felt dumb for screaming her head off when he was calm in the face of her wrath.
And besides, this was not a conversation to be had while driving.
Silently, he drove on and stopped at the first emergency bay he came across. He punched in his hazard lights and took off his seatbelt for a second time, before turning to look at her.
“So what do you want?” he said, looking her straight in the eye. “Tell me what you want.”
Kagome’s gaze was steady, but she breathed in. Her hands shook as she took off her own seatbelt to mirror him; she was nervous.
“Do you want this to end?”
“I don’t know.” She shook her head. “I don’t know. I was just… Someone asked, and I thought—”
“Asked what? Who asked?”
“Yura, from Marketing. She said she was interested. She asked me if we were dating.”
Yura? Who’s that? He deemed it insignificant and barreled on. “And what did you say?”
“What do you mean what did I say? I said we weren’t dating, and that you were single. What else would I say?”
“So you’re okay with me dating her? Is that what this is about?”
“Yes. No. I don’t know.” She gingerly rubbed the underside of her eye, careful to not smudge her makeup. “Do you?”
“I’m not interested in Yura,” he said flatly.
Kagome groaned. “That’s the problem, Inuyasha. You’re not interested in anyone. It’s been over a year! This has to end at some point.”
“Why?”
“What do you mean why? Didn’t you just hear what I said? You’re not interested in anyone!”
“Jesus Christ, Kagome. I can’t believe I have to spell this out for you.” He ran a hand over his face. “I’ve been having sex with you steadily over the past year because I’m interested in you.”
She blinked, then gaped, then stared back at him, horrified. “What?”
He glared at her. “No need to look so disgusted.”
She fixed her face. “Sorry, I didn’t—I mean—What?”
“I’ve been asking you out on a proper date for the past year,” he said exasperatedly. “You were there. You shot me down every time.”
“I thought you were kidding!” Kagome cried, frantic. “You don’t do emotionally available—or anything emotional, for that matter. That’s not you! You don’t ask people out! I had to ask you, the first time!”
“Yeah, well,” he mumbled, “It’s different when it comes to you, apparently.”
"I mean, Sango said you had a communication problem—"
His ears twitched. "Don't listen to her—"
“—but I could disagree, but you’re sure as hell not patient. I’ve been turning you down for a year and you didn’t get the slightest bit pissed off?”
“Like I said,” he continued, looking every bit as perturbed as she was. “It’s different when it comes to you.”
Her cheeks burned. “Wh—Wh—” She struggled with her words, before deciding to simply stare at him, jaw unhinged.
Inuyasha reached over to gingerly close her mouth, before taking her chin in his hand and brushing the corner of her mouth with his thumb. Her lipstick smudged in the slightest. “Look, you’re right. I don’t do feelings. That’s not me, that’s never gonna be me. I'm bad at talking about them, too, because I didn't see the point. It’s why all my past relationships went down in flames; I never made the effort to try, because I didn’t think it was worth it, or that it mattered.
“But I—I don’t know. I’m just not interested in anyone except you. I haven’t been interested in trying on making anything work, except when it comes to you.”
“Because of the sex?” she asked, so innocently that it made him want to laugh.
“Maybe. I don’t know. The sex is good. But spending time with you isn’t so bad.”
"'So bad'?"
He rolled his eyes. "It's not bad. At all."
“Because of the sex,” she repeated flatly.
“Look, I’m not going to dissect whatever the hell I’m feeling, okay?” he snapped. “All I know is that I like you, I like having sex with you, I like spending time with you, and I’m not interested in anything with anyone else. I’m not going to further elaborate because that means talking about my feelings and I’m not gonna do that.”
“That’s fair,” she said thoughtfully. “I mean, I won’t ask that from you. I know you and that’s not who you are.”
See, this was why he liked Kagome. She wasn’t the type to demand stuff of him, unlike all his former girlfriends, who demanded flowers and birthday celebrations and grand, romantic gestures—which, ultimately, led to the demise of all those relationships. Because, as they said in one way or another, he didn’t give enough.
But he was a giver. Ask Kagome, even. He was so giving. But these women wanted things that he didn’t give, didn’t want to give. Never planned on giving, because he either didn’t see the point or just didn’t find them worth giving. With Kagome, it was different. What he was was what he was and that was fine. No pressure, no expectations.
Maybe it had to take a friends with benefits situation to realize it, but regardless, it worked; they were happy, there was no pressure, and he really, truly appreciated that. “Thank you,” he said, and meant it.
Her pondering continued. “But…”
He raised an eyebrow. “But what?”
“You’re going to have to ask me out properly.”
He violently rescinded his earlier thought about her not being the type to ask stuff of him. Inuyasha stared at her, unamused. “You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me.”
“Look, if we’re gonna date,” she said shortly, “I expect the whole nine yards. Dinner. Maybe a movie. A romantic walk somewhere, preferably by the beach. A kiss when you bring me home. That kind of stuff.”
“There’s a pattern with you,” he mumbled under his breath. Louder, he said, “Fine. Anything else?”
“Yeah. No sex on the first date.”
“What?!” His jaw dropped. “Kagome, we’ve been having sex for over a year! I think we’re past that point by now!”
“Rules are rules! No sex on a first date!” she insisted.
“Rules are—” Inuyasha dragged his face down in one sweep. Was this even worth it? “You know what? Fine. Fine. Jesus fucking Christ. But what else? And are you sure?”
“What do you mean, 'am I sure'?”
"I know you're siding with Sango about me having a communication issue? You really wanna get into a relationship with me?"
The corners of Kagome's mouth turned down in a frown. "Hey, I never said I agreed with her. You never had a problem telling me what you wanted, or what you expected."
Looking back at it, he really didn't. Maybe because they stepped into the arrangement with no expectations, that he didn't feel like he needed to hide or think about anything.
"Why are you asking?"
His cheeks flared up with heat. "Um. Nothing."
"Seriously? Just tell me."
"I'd really—"
"Inuyasha," she said sternly. Inuyasha took in her expression and decided that no, she was not being stern, she was being stubborn, which was worse.
“Fine." He cleared his throat. "I... I don’t know, I just—I want this to work out. I’m not gonna be the reason why another one of my relationships fail because I’m—as Sango said—emotionally constipated. So I’m going to… try.”
Her face went from shocked to incredulous then straight up teary-eyed. “Inuyasha,” she whimpered. “You want to try for me?”
Oh, good fucking God. “This is why I’m not a feelings person.”
“No, no, no,” Kagome said, pressing a hand to her chest and sniffling. “That was just really sweet. I didn’t think you had it in you."
His eyebrow twitched. “You’re baiting me and I won’t fall for it.”
“I won’t be too hard on you,” she placated, leaning forward. The hand that was on her chest went to pat his knee, then moved to cup his cheek. “And for the record, I don't think you're emotionally constipated. You're just bad with feelings. and you're too shy to talk about them.”
"Okay, enough,” he declared, ignoring the giggle Kagome let out just as he closed the distance to press a deep, wanting kiss to her lips, her soft lips parting under his careful attentions. When he pulled away, something made him ask, “Are you sure you’re okay with this?”
“Yeah,” she said, a little breathy. “Yeah.”
“Okay.” He kissed her lightly. “Are you free tomorrow for dinner?”
She laughed in a way that made his heart swell. “Yes, of course.”
He pulled away and resituated himself in the driver’s seat, driving out of the bay as soon as Kagome had strapped back in. His hand made its way back to the inside of her thigh and they drove the rest of the way in comfortable silence.
“To make things clear, tomorrow is the only day I’m going to hold off on sex with you,” he said with finality when he pulled up into his one-car garage. “Got that? All bets are off for date number two.”
“I figured,” Kagome said with amusement. Inuyasha hopped out of the car and met her on the other side, helping her out. “And tonight?”
“Like I said,” he said, smirking. He slammed the door to his car behind her and pressed her against it, his lips starting to work on her neck. He relished the sound she made when he wrapped his arms around her thighs and hoisted her up to carry her into his house. “I’m impatient.”

Hearts Returned
A fluffy InuKag reunion oneshot for @superpixie42.
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOOOOU!!
Summary: A sweet moment alone after a long day of welcome backs.
Also read on: AO3
——————————————————
“Inuyasha?”
His eyes widened and his heart stopped, and he peered over the edge of his tree branch into hazy blue eyes made brighter by her soft blush.
He gulped when he noticed what she was wearing- a simple yukata that had once been Sango’s, just one more sign that today had not been a dream.
She was back.
And she was staying.
Carefully he slid from his perch and landed in front of her with a soft thud as his feet hit the ground, and she smiled, her heart fluttering nervously in her chest.
“H-hi.” She said, and he finally felt his gasping awe and aching disbelief slam into his heart all at once.
From the minute he’d pulled her from the well, they’d been swept up in a whirlwind of reunions.
Shippo, Sango, Miroku, the twins, the new baby, Kaede, Kirara, and every last blasted villager took up every spare second as he took a step back and allowed to her bask in the love and relief of everyone else at her return while he tried to keep his feet on the ground and his head out of the clouds.
He’d hovered like a shadow, keeping her in his sights but giving her space, half scared to stake a claim on her time lest the illusion of her presence shatter and prove he was alone again, and then he’d snuck away when new clothing was passed her way and she slipped inside to change.
But now it was dark.
And now she was here.
And now they were alone.
And gods, she was here.
His breath left him in a single whoosh of air, and he placed his hand over his wildly beating heart as she stepped closer, her scent flooding his nose, finally not diluted by the smell of everyone else.
“Inuyasha… are you alright?” She asked, and he nodded, unable to form or find a word to even inadequately express what he was feeling and thinking.
She was here.
She was here.
“Kagome…” he forced out, blushing at his incoherence, silently raging that all the times he’d hid in the tree tops to practice what he’d say to her when she returned (when, not if) were for nothing, but she smiled again and took another step.
She was so close now her breath brushed against the skin of his neck, and he could see clearly the delicate wash of pink spreading across the bridge of her nose.
“I thought we’d never get a moment alone.” She whispered, averting her eyes as she gripped the length of his sleeve and thumbed the fire rat fabric, grinning in remembrance as she reacquainted herself.
“Oh?” He choked out, a thousand different lines he’d crafted and rehearsed spinning round and round inside his skull and then spilling out of ears, scattering across the forest floor and under leaves and dirt and sticks.
He’d never find them again if his life depended on it.
“But I’m happy we did.”
“Y-yeah?” He was stuttering now and dammit this was the one time he wanted to have the words, the ones she deserved, the ones he’d never been able to say before but knew she would want, especially after all this time.
“I missed you,” she sighed, and she leaned forward, resting her head right over his heart.
“I… I uh… Um. Kagome, I-“
“Will you just old me?”
His jaw clicked shut and his arms wrapped around her snug and strong, a means of both affection and protection, and he sighed in relief that she’d given something tangible to do instead of scrambling to explain these things he felt so strongly but just couldn’t pin down long enough to explain.
She lived right there in the heart she snuggled against, she’d rooted there and bloomed and filled all the cracks and gaps that life had left there, until the emptiness was gone and he could just breathe and just be.
That was her.
That was Kagome.
But saying it out-loud made it seem so small, so paltry, reducing it to something palm sized when it was bigger than the goshinboku in his time or hers.
And so he hurried his face in her hair and wrapped his arms even tighter around her.
“Kagome.” He sighed, releasing even more tension and disbelief, even more of the dark nightmares that plagued him with promises of centuries alone as he waited- maybe even in vain- to get back to her side.
That wouldn’t happen, now.
“Kagome I… I have a hut.” His face burned, and he tightened his hold when she tried to pull back to see him.
If he was going to communicate this much, he would not be able to look her in the eye when he did it.
“You do?”
“Yeah. I do. I… will you… if you like… we can-“
“Can I live there with you?” She asked, and he pinched his eyes closed in both relief and shame.
She was not supposed to be taking the lead here. He was supposed to have scraped up enough courage and determination to plow through a proposal so she knew without a doubt what he wanted and needed from her.
But as usual he stuttered and stumbled, and as usual she reached between the bluster to find his true heart.
“Yeah that’s… what I’m trying to ask you.”
She giggled, but her humor didn’t sting.
Instead he grinned and finally pulled away, looking down at her upturned face as she remained in the circle of his arms. “Gods I missed you, too.” He said, his tongue finally loosened now that the major talking point was out of the way.
“You did?”
“Of course I did. Did you really think I wouldn’t?”
“No. I didn’t think that. But I’m glad I wasn’t wrong.”
“Feh. Silly woman,” he nuzzled into the hair that brushed across her forehead, and she sagged into him, closing her eyes and shocking him still with a soft kiss on his jaw.
He stiffened, and when he looked down at her again her lids were half closed and her blush had deepened.
“Inuyasha, how much did you miss me?” She whispered, and he once more felt his heart race and his tongue turn to lead.
“Uh… how much? Uh, it was-“
“Will you show me?” She asked, pushing up on her tip toes, her eyes sliding more firmly closed, and he decided to once more take the bone she was throwing him.
“Hell yeah I will,” he replied, and with no more hesitation he met her waiting lips with his own.
Like rushing headlong into battle, he set out to conquer her with a kiss that would lay his heart out plainly before her, spelling out every last corner dedicated to her and all the wonderful things she’d been to him since the moment his eyes had opened on that tree and she’d been standing in front of him.
His hands swept up her back until they tangled in her hair, and she stood up even higher on her toes, sealing their mouths more firmly together, gripping the front of his clothes and whimpering with want as her scent surged and her heart tried to burst.
His tried to burst, too.
She tugged him forward, spinning them so that her back rested against the Goshinboku, and he caged her in, a growl building in his throat that vibrated through his chest and into hers.
She whimpered again, pressing herself against him, wrapping her arms around his neck to keep him near, and he broke the kiss despite her whine of protest, resting his forehead against hers and gasping for breath.
“Do we have to stop?”
“Probably, it’s getting late, and we are outside.” He said, the reality of the roughness of tree bark or grit of dirt pouring over him like a bucket of cold water.
“Then take me inside.” She purred, voice warm and alluring, and his eyes widened.
He could take her inside.
That was something he could do now.
And everyone had been giving him knowing looks all evening.
And Miroku had gestured in the direction of his house and waggled his brows like the lecher he was.
And Sango had stopped long enough to remind him of the bundle of hand me down dishes and cloths he absolutely needed to come get from her at first light.
And he decidedly did not want to walk her back into the village and spend his first night with her back in his era trying to sleep alone and fend off the nightmares that would convince him he’d been dreaming.
“Okay. Then let’s go home, Kagome.”
Her answering smile was so bright she lit the night forest, and the smell of pure elation was followed by the hint of sweet and salt as tears filmed over her eyes.
She threaded her fingers through his and brushed a kiss across his cheek, fitting herself against his side so perfectly, as if they’d been carved from two halves of one stone.
“Yes. Let’s go home.”

Kagome opens her mouth and says the first thing she thinks of. She’s not proud of it. “You realize you have to be nice to a girlfriend, right? Or is that why you’re still single?”
Kagome and Inuyasha aren't exactly friends. Friend-adjacent, at best. And yet, when Inuyasha's mother comes to town, he comes to her with a proposition. Date him, get paid. It does not go as planned.

Thirst Impressions by @fandomobsessions016 (E)
"He didn’t need to dress well to look like the sweetest sin the devil could create. He often opted for t-shirts or hoodies with well-worn jeans but on that terribly wonderful day, he was wearing sweatpants.
That’s right.
Sweatpants.
Loose, soft to the touch - she assumed - and unrestricted sweatpants.
Sweatpants that looked like they were just hanging off his hips in the most provocative way making her skin feel hot to the touch. Sweatpants that languidly fell around thighs she knew were well crafted because she’d seen him running around campus a few times and just knew he was an avid runner by how fluid his movements were. Sweatpants that did nothing to hide the delicious outline of his… well… his splendid endowment that swung so lusciously as he walked."

Even If It Kills Me by @thisdumbbitchcantspell (E)
Becoming an assassin wasn't what Inuyasha had planned post-college graduation. Nor was leaving his best friend, Kagome, behind. 3 years after abandoning her, they're brought back together, but everything has changed. Kagome still holds a grudge, and for good reason. Can they put the past behind them and work together? Will history repeat itself, or will they write their own fate?

Chasing the Vortex by @fawn-eyed-girl /@mickisketch /@neutronstarchild /@ruddcatha (E)
Inuyasha knew what happiness was. It was him alone with a tornado, because tornadoes were predictable, and simple. And being alone meant no more getting hurt. Then Inuyasha’s Ph.D. advisor dropped the ultimatum on him: to host a plucky photographer from Chicago to help get their weather institute funded, or else.
Kagome Higurashi, for her part, couldn't wait. She’d always wanted to chase tornadoes, and wanted to see how close she could get to one, to get that perfect shot. And lord knew the chaser needed the help! And for that week stuck together in tornado alley, it’s not just the debris that’s flying.

Casper Basketball Team Headcanons
(Because Wes needs friends who support his interests)
-Unlike most of the football team, they aren’t bullies who pick on nerds, geeks, and band kids for they too are nerds. They’re just athletic enough that you don’t want to pick a fight with them.
-The basketball team and football team don’t like each other for this reason. However, the school cares more about football than basketball, so the football team gets all the favoritism.
-In their free time, they research ghosts and talk about Phantom. They have various theories on who he was, how he died, when he died, etc. Wes just happens to be the only one who’s right.
-Finding candidates for Phantom is difficult because they can’t get a lot of records of people dying in industrial accidents that are young enough to fit the bill or match Phantom's description.
-(Sidenote: I found a list of ~400 industrial accidents that Google claimed was on the internet mid-2000s. The youngest person I could get a name and age for was 21 years old. The team will share my pain. Here’s the link: https://www.icheme.org/media/7141/causes-chemical-details.pdf)
-A few members started with only a passing interest in ghosts since the first attack by the Lunch Lady, but after Cujo showed up during a game, the entire team got on board researching and documenting ghosts.
-Wes provides most of the photos and footage of ghost fights for study.
-Wes is the only freshman on the team (affectionately called “rookie” since he’s the youngest) and thus the only one who sees Danny semi-regularly and how weird he is.
-Wes thinks the team doesn’t believe him only because they don’t see Danny as often as he does, and that he’ll convince them with enough evidence.
-Meanwhile, quite a few of them are in Jazz’s grade, and are just like “dude please stop picking on Jazz’s little brother that’s not cool.”
-Wes doesn’t really try to convince Dash because Wes doesn’t respect his intelligence.
-2 other basketball members were given the names Percy (nicknamed “Prince”) and Tyrone in this post: https://monotype-on-phantom.tumblr.com/post/162529101771/decided-i-wanted-to-pick-out-the-members-of-the
-Tyrone’s preferred go-to for Phantom’s identity is Viktor Kibenok, the youngest firefighter (age 23) to die in the Chernobyl disaster, citing that being a firefighter matches Phantom’s heroism.
-Yes, Tyrone’s aware of the many problems with this theory. He's just happy he's one of the few whose theory includes a name.
-Percy thinks Phantom is more ancient, citing descriptions of a minor god of judgement from the Roman Empire that matches Phantom. He has a relative in a cult that’s latched onto Phantom as this god of judgement returning to the mortal realm.
-He’s not a member of the Stars of the Heavenly Judge. (cult’s name from @goliath-de-senfina-sango ) He’ll only consider joining if Phantom himself confirms the cult’s claims and endorses them.
-Dash isn’t part of the basketball team. He was subbing for Captain, who isn’t present during the basketball team’s one appearance in the show due to a skiing accident.
-The basketball team captain has been captain for so long everyone just calls him Captain and because I couldn’t think of a name for him.
-Captain thinks it wasn’t an industrial accident at all, but a skiing accident. (reference to @floralflowerpower’s post: https://floralflowerpower.tumblr.com/post/681555740988768256/zephyrantha-if-it-makes-you-feel-better-we-all )
-Captain’s theory has some weight to it, but the main reason Captain thinks this is because his parents own a ski resort.
-A basketball team needs 5 players on the court and usually has about 10-12 players, so there are at least 3 unseen, unnamed players with their own theories for how Phantom died.
-One is the Great Chicago Fire because 1) Chicago is thought to be near Amity and many of the ghosts lived nearby and 2) kids died in the fire so the problem of not finding kids who died in industrial accidents is avoided. However, Phantom doesn’t talk like he’s from that period.
-The second is the Bhopal gas tragedy because 1) kids died in it and 2) it’s more recent so Phantom’s modern speech is more plausible. Unfortunately, it’s not that much more plausible than the Chicago Fire theory since Bhopal is in India.
-The third is that he died before child labor laws and safety regulations were a thing. Points for vagueness, but points taken off because of Phantom’s modern speech and for the sheer number of documents they have to go through to find and eliminate candidates.

The Flame Hashira and The Priestess (2)
There were certain types of crows that Kagome quickly learned to avoid. Over the years she noticed that crows she later learned were associated with the Demon Slayer Corps, had unique auras about them. Once she started taking care of the demons herself, she knew she was under the Demon Slayer corps radar.  She’d have to be very careful when the unique crows were around. Kagome was not ready to entangle herself with the Demon Slayers.
She let out a sigh as she sipped her tea, “Man, demon slayers sure have changed over the years,” she looked up at clear blue sky, recalling the days of her travels in the Sengoku Period. Demon Slayers were well known throughout the country and the people of Japan knew of them and the existence of demons.
Those who were fortunate enough to never had an encounter with a demon didn’t know of their existence or believed them to be myths and legends, just like that of the Sacred Jewel. She tried to find out more about the demon slayer corps, but when she brought it up to random passbyers, they looked at her like she’d grown a third head and brushed her off.
From what she could tell, they were few and far between.
After finishing her tea and paying, she strolled through the village, making her way to one of her many homes scattered across the land. She had accumulated a large good amount of money throughout her long, long life. She would consider herself well off, but didn’t use her wealth for luxuries. Her homes usually consisted of the same things: Medical supplies, a bed, a small kitchen with a fire pit, herbs and ingrediants. She only kept the things she needed.
Miroku had built her a hut somewhere outside the village of Edo where she stored her most important things. The monks staff along with Sangos boomerang, Tetsusaiga, and Tenseiga mounted on the wall of the hut along with a trunk that contained items she deemed most important to her. Inuyasha’s subjagation beads were one of the items in the trunk. Sesshomaru had a powerful priestess put a spell on the hut where only she and Sesshomaru himself could access the hut.
She had asked the demon lord why he left his fathers sword to her. He never answered her and she was left wondering why. That had been the last time she had seen him. Sometimes she thought she could sense him, but it was gone just as quickly as it had arrived. Was he dead or alive? It seemed like she would never know.
As she entered the hut, she heard a groan coming from her newest patient, A boy wearing the demon slayer uniform with a yellow kimono with white triangles on it. She came across him in the forest moments before a demon was ready to deliver the final blow. Kagome wasted no time in eliminating the demon with a purifying arrow. After it had disintergrated, she quickly kneeled down to assess his wounds. He had cuts all over his body, but the worst was the gaping hole in his stomach.
Beside him was a sparrow crying frantically and squeaking. Kagome gently scooped the bird into her hands and smiled at it, “Don’t worry, little sparrow, I’m going to save him, you may rest easy.” Kagome gave it a tap on its small head with her index finger before she quickly began performing basic first aid.
On the outside she was calm, focused on the task before her, but on the inside she was slightly panicking. She could feel his aura slowly begin to fade. “Dammit, I’m losing him.” She gasped when he stopped breathing. Kagome quickly tore pieces of her clothing to tie around his more serious wound to stop the bleeding or atleast slow it down enough.
Without missing a beat Kagome tilted his head back and pinched his nose. She took a breath of her own before placing her mouth over his and then performed the chest compressions. She silently thanked the Gods for that basic first aid class she took in school. She continued this pattern until he was finally breathing on his own.
“That was a close call, little Sparrow,” She gave a nervous laughter. She made sure that the yellow haired boy was still breathing on his own before setting to work on the stab wound he received. She placed her hands over his wound and a pink glow emitted from them and into the wound.
“Little Sparrow,” Kagome glanced at the bird who had its beady eyes on her hands, “I know you’re associated with the Demon Slayer Corps.” She could practically see the bird tense, “I must insist that you keep everything you see a secret.” She stared the bird down until finally it let out a meek squeak, as if agreeing to her terms.
Getting him back to the cabin was a lot harder than she thought it was. She was drained from healing his wound. It wasn’t completely healed, he wasn’t in danger of dying, but he would be if she didn’t get him back to her hut and treat it properly and continue her treatment.
The swallow perched itself atop her head as she dragged his body through the forest and off the main roads. She didn’t want to risk a stranger stopping her as she dragged his unconscious body throughout the land. She was sure someone would stop her and she couldn’t afford to stop or he would certainly die.
(Chuntaro’s POV)
Chuntaro could only watch helplessly as he watched Zenitsu run from the demon. He was clearly no match for it and help was still too far out. He feared Zenitsu wouldn’t make it through this battle as the terrified boy ran for his life, dodging as many as its attacks a he could manage while crying.
The swallow let out a loud squawk as the demon thrusted its hand through Zenitsu’s abdomen. It laughed as he ripped his hand out and watched him drop to the forest floor. Chuntaro didn’t even notice as a young women rushed onto the scene. He was busy crying for Zenitsu and watching what could be his final moments. This was the one time where the sparrow wished he was human so he could save Zenitsu.
He helplessly watched as the demon picked Zenitsu up by his throat and lifted him from the ground. “Die demon slayer!” he laughed.
The next thing Chuntaro knew, the demon had disintegrated in a flash of pink and ash. Zenitsu’s body dropped to the forest floor and the bird flew down by his side. “Please don’t die!” he cried over and over and over. Suddenly he felt himself being picked up by gentle hands and he was face to face with a beautiful raven haired woman. He stopped crying instantly as he stared into her blue eyes with awe and confusion. She smiled at him, “Don’t worry little sparrow,” she said to him, “I’m going to save him, you can rest easy now.” and she tapped his head with her finger and set him back down. He could only watch in awe as she quickly set to work closing aiding him.
“Who is this girl?” He had never seen her before. She was definitely someone he would never forget.
He almost didn’t hear the gasp she let out and he focused on Zenitsu. He noticed that he had stopped breathing and began panicking again. “Please save him, lady!” he cried out knowing that she couldn’t understand him, but still, he begged her to save him.
Chuntaro felt himself freeze when he saw her lean down and put her mouth on his. “What are you doing kissing him like that!” he was angered by her actions,”You’re supposed to be saving him not kissing him!” he wanted to peck her.
But then she started pressing down on his chest and she repeated both these actions for what seemed like an eternity.
“That was a close call, little Sparrow,” she let out a nervous laugh. Chuntaro was still a little mad at her, but his anger soon melted into astonishment as she placed her hands over his stomach and began to glow. “Is she even human?” he couldn’t tear his eyes away from the glow. He watched as the bleeding stopped all together and slowly.
“Little Sparrow,” she didn’t look up from her task, “I know you’re associated with the Demon Slayer Corps,” He tensed, now THAT caught his attention, “I must insist you keep everything you saw a secret.” when Chuntaro looked up, she was staring right at him. Right into his very core.
He didn’t know what her reasons for wanting all of what he witnessed a secret, but he was sure she had her reasons. “I suppose since you saved his life I will keep it a secret for you! As thanks.” To her, his response was a squeak.

Shango, also called Chango, major deity of the religion of the Yoruba of southwestern Nigeria. He also figures in the religion of the Edo people of southeastern Nigeria, who refer to him as Esango, and in the religion of the Fon people of Benin, who call him Sogbo or Ebioso. Like all of the Yoruba gods (orishas), Shango is both a deified ancestor and a natural force, both aspects being associated with a cult and a priesthood.
The ancestral Shango was the fourth king of the town of Oyo. Oral tradition describes him as powerful, with a voice like thunder and a mouth that spewed fire when he spoke. When a subordinate chief challenged his rule, many townspeople were impressed by the subordinate’s feats of magic and deserted Shango. Defeated in the eyes of the majority of his subjects, Shango left Oyo and committed suicide by hanging himself. His faithful followers, however, claimed that he really ascended to the heavens on a chain. They claimed that his disappearance was not death but merely the occasion of his transformation into an orisha. He later took on some of the attributes of a preexisting deity, Jakuta, who represented the wrath of God and whose name continues to be associated with Shango in Cuba. Shango’s followers eventually succeeded in securing a place for their cult in the religious and political system of Oyo, and the Shango cult eventually became integral to the installation of Oyo’s kings. It spread widely when Oyo became the centre of an expansive empire dominating most of the other Yoruba kingdoms as well as the Edo and the Fon, both of whom incorporated Shango worship into their religions and continued his cult even after they ceased being under Oyo’s control.

Custom Toonami Block Week 105 Rundown
Inuyasha: The gang is still at Renkotsu’s shrine thing and because Renkotsu’s playing 5D chess here he actually stole a living monk’s clothes AND buried people to mix Inuyasha’s nose up enough between the scent of life and death and whatever incense he has Shippo and Kirara smoking that he actually bullshits his way through the conversation and catches Inuyasha completely off-guard. Apparently Naraku didn’t give the Band of Seven the memo and just told Bankotusu ‘idk guys just kill Inuyasha and take the jewel shards’ and after Inuyasha tells Renkotsu about Naraku he rightly decides Naraku is the shadiest person in the world and not to trust him. Meanwhile Ginkotsu’s back and all being Wind Scar’d into a hole did was annoy him really Inuyasha takes him down AGAIN but Renkotsu’s already set fire to the shrine with everybody inside, not really capitalizing all that well on taking Inuyasha by surprise but they do have a neat little fight where Renkotsu and Ginkotsu have Inuyasha tied up in a tug of war between them on the stairs. Also Jakotsu fights Koga but nothing much comes of that since Koga’s moveset is specifically designed to not get fucked up by fast attacks and once he hears Kagome’s going to die he books it out of there. Inuyasha takes out Ginkotsu for like the 3rd-4th time this time with a direct Wind Scar and the guy STILL ISN’T DEAD like the strike that can kill a hundred demons seems to be having a huge problem taking out one metal boi. Renkotsu’s kinda pissed that Inuyasha ignores him to go save his friends but he has the 411 on Naraku and Kagome’s jewel shards so he’s good with carrying the 25% of Ginkotsu that’s left back home. Turns out Shippo was actually able to block the regular fire with his Fox Fire which I’m not a fireologist so I guess that works so nobody burned to death but the poison’s taken over so Kagome, Sango and Miroku have all stopped breathing, so show’s over I guess, see you guys next week for Yashahime with Inuyasha’s kid with… some girl.
Yu Yu Hakusho: So yeah, this it, the big one, the heavy episode. The Death of Genkai, it really kinda makes me laugh how little they do to hide that’s what’ll happen in this episode, like obviously Genkai doesn’t intend on throwing the fight with Toguro and we have a mountain of foreshadowing that it’ll happen but they just fucking named the episode that to remove all doubt. But yeah this episode is pretty cool as we’re drip-fed Genkai and Toguro’s backstory with small snippets during Genkai’s desperate fight against Current!Toguro and only get the full picture once Genkai reveals it to Yusuke on her deathbed. Toguro basically had Lysandre’s mindset from Pokemon and is like ‘man old people suck so much’ which seems to be a running theme for the arc. And instead getting old and bowing out gracefully once he and Genkai won the Dark Tournament he wished to become a demon which Genkai is understandably pissed about (though idk it’s not like demons in this series are literal evil we see a lot of them are chill dudes so him ‘selling his soul’ seems to be less about actually being a demon and more about the corrupting influence his obsession with youth and power had on his soul) Idk how Elder Toguro factors into this but I assume he was also on the old Team Toguro and when his younger brother made the wish he was like ‘sure, ditto’ and Genkai was just like ‘Oh my fucking god I knew you two were gonna pull this shit, none of you ever talk to me again’ and presumably Genkai and Toguro fight and Genkai beats him since it seems to mirror the final shot of their present-day fight exept this time Toguro wins and punches a hole in her. But after their past fight no one bothers her until the Dark Tournament committee is like ‘Hey Genkai I know you said never to talk to you again buuuut we’re blackmailing your pupil into fighting and he’ll prolly die without your help bye’ and it’s really kind of a cool message because Genkai found a way to continue living through Yusuke while Toguro is obsessed with physically staying alive forever himself, ever since she was introduced Genkai’s philosophy has been passing down techniques makes them stronger and she urges Yusuke to not be afraid of the fight against time because it’s the only way people really find their place and share things with each other and if you keep hiding from it and want just yourself to persist you close yourself off from what you can give to and receive from others just like Genkai was able to give Yusuke her wisdom and was in turn surprised by the kind of purpose and joy she was able to find in training and connecting with him.
Fate Extra: This episode probably has one of the highest Navelgazing/Plot Actually Happening ratios in Fate which is saying quite a lot. Nero and Hakuno are sent down to the bottom of Moon!SAO and Moon!Kayaba’s all ‘man you guys suck’ but Hakuno finds a bookmark left by F!Hakuno which legit just acts as a savestate and lets them go straight back to the fight. Hakuno does a lot of wishy washy bullshit but says fuck it, got nothing better to do, might as well save humanity’ even if it kills him which honestly if he doesn’t save humanity won’t the Moon Halo just kill everyone anyway? Doesn’t seem like much of a choice. They get back and Hakuno basically burns up his own body to just dump as much mana as he can into Nero (giggity) as he can and Leo’s all ‘the fuck dude why you wanna save humanity?’ which is a question that gets asked surprisingly often in the Fate series like the answer should be obvious, for most people would be like ‘sure humanity not dying would be great’ Apparently Discount Kayaba told Leo that even if he used the Magic Moon Cup he could only prolong humanity’s end and Leo’s like ‘well fuck that, let’s everyone just die’ so Hakuno’s like ‘that’s objectively the wrong choice in that situation’ and Nero cuts through Gawai’s Sun Getsuga Tensho and it’s pretty cool, Nero uses her Unlimited Coliseum Works to press the insta-win button but Gawain sets fire to it before she can form it and you know what happens when you set a fire in front of Emperor Nero? Nero Lets Rome Burn and because of the sacrifice of her Noble Phantasm she’s just allowed to channel it all into one hit and take it out, defeating the fatalism of stagnation with the desire to live through sacrifice which is pretty neat thematically for all the shit I give Fate for being pretentious. Anyway time to fight Moon!Kayaba and his Space Whales or whatever the final boss of the moon is.
Bakemonogatari: It’s the final episode! Black Hanekawa’s basically like “Okay, two options, you dump Hitagi and go out with Hanekawa, you two bang and you’ll never hear from me again, or option two, I fucking murder you.” Which idk how murdering the guy she has a crush on will REDUCE Hanekawa’s stress, like in the long run I guess so if she manages to get over him but right away that might just be enough stress to short circuit her. I like how fucking long it takes Araragi to take Hanekawa liking him seriously like he has just not adapted to the whole harem protagonist thing yet. But yeah he rightfully points out that 1. He’s kind of a masochist so he’s actually grown to really like Hitagi and 2. Breaking up with her to go out with Hankeawa just to stop a serial killer cat spirit from murdering him isn’t exactly the best way to start a healthy relationship, which are both fair points. So Black Hanekawa goes for Option 2 and just straight up decides to murder him but he’s a vampire so even for an energy-absorbing murder cat that’s not exactly an easy task. (Also idk where we actually get the story for what happened with Araragi vs Shinobu to turn him into a vampire but we get constant references to it and I was kind of hoping for the full flashback but it didn’t pan out so I’m hoping it’s not just in the books or in a movie that’s only for Japan or something). She says the only way for him to survive now if someone from his harem comes to save him since he’s helped enough people to have a karmic debt anyway, but he says everyone he’s helped over the course of the series has saved themselves rather than him really saving them, but there isn’t exactly anything he can personally do to beat her so he does the only thing he can to save himself on his own… he asks for help. I think that’s pretty cool honestly, the whole series has had a theme of the only way for the hosts to beat their apparitions is to acknowledge their weaknesses that caused the curses in the first place and in Araragi’s case that’s always been him diving into things to help someone else without regard for his own safety and feeling overly indebted to anyone that helps him, so the contradiction is the only thing he can do to be self-sufficient is ask for help. He learns he can’t do everything on his own and at the same time that his life matters because if he were to die he’d upset the very people he’s trying to help, it’s a really cool way to bring his character full circle the more I think about it, it’s like the exact opposite of Shirou’s character arc from UBW where he’s a self-sacrificing asshole and is validated for it. Anyway because he calls out to Shinobu, apparently she’s just been living in his shadow this whole time because that’s apparently something she can just do and she punts Black Hanekawa and succs the cat right out of her. Araragi gets the gang back together one more time to find Oshino’s gone and has left the care of future apparitions in Araragi’s hands and also Shinobu’s just gonna chill out in Araragi’s shadow from now on like some kind of demon loli peter pan shit. Overall I really liked this show, there was a lot of shit that got on my nerves particularly with Nadeko’s arc and the weird loli shit this show pulls sometimes and in general some of the harem vibes are weird but it’s a lot less egregious than some other shows and there was some great character work here, a lot of fun the whole way through and I’m glad I watched it. That being said I know the second season is on Funimation too but I’mma hold off on that for now and take a bit of a break shortening down the block next week. Between Sailor Moon, Fate and Monogatari I’ve got a lot of shows ending back to back so I’m going to let the block shrink down a bit for a few weeks until all those shows end and decide what new stuff I want to watch from there, sort of rebuild the block from scratch and decide how much time I want to devote to this each week instead of feeling like I have to fill out seven shows just because.
Sailor Moon Crystal: Only three more episodes left in this series too, looks like we’re speeding right along! Evil!Hotaru has the Inner Guardians in barriers and shit and the black goo shit is gonna do stuff to the planet except the Outer Guardians make a rainbow anti-goo barrier to keep it inside but basically can’t do anything else in the meantime. Sailor Moon tris to fight Evil!Hotaru but it doesn’t work and so Evil!Hotaru is like ‘okay fuck it, having a human body sucks, gonna molt’ and Sailor Moon’s like ‘Oh no, Hotaru’s body, she needs that to live and shit’ and Hotaru jams Evil!Hotaru back in like ‘oh no you don’t I need that to live and shit’ but because Evil!Hotaru is powered by the Legendary Silver Crystal she’s like ‘fine I’ll just rip everything out’ but Hotaru cuts off her connection to the crystal and guards Chibi-Usa’s soul so Evil!Hotaru has to grab the Inner Guardians’ souls for more soul juice but Hotaru grabs their souls as she’s swallowing so Evil!Hotaru’s like ‘oh come on I stole those souls fair and square’ so now Hotaru knows if she leaves she can give everyone their souls back and get Chibi-Usa her Silver Crystal back but if she does Evil!Hotaru’s gonna molt off her body which, again, she needs to live and shit. Hotaru does the selfless thing, reflecting on how she’s never had the strength or determination to protect anyone before but she met and loved Chibi-Usa and wants to protect her even if she’s basically already dead. She yeets everyone’s soul out of her body and goes to see Chibi-Usa and give her her crystal but gets molted before they can touch and it’s really kind of genuinely fucking sad. Like I don’t have any particular confidence in this series to have the balls to kill someone off for real after Pluto (come to think of it Pluto was also into Chibi-Usa, this is basically the same arc all over again) but the way it’s executed is pretty good and sad and maybe it’s just because my friend who died recently’s favorite character was Hotaru but it legit made me really sad to watch. Chibi-Usa is pissed and she and Tuxedo Mask go to fight the goo creature and she gets her own Moon Chalice which you’d think would split up the powers of the guardians stored within so they’d each be half-super but I guess it doesn’t work like that and it just multiplies so they’re both Super Sailor/Chibi Moonses.
Durararax2: Everyone’s still trying to figure out what to do about Ruri’s cat and also her stalker but mostly the cat. We get a little backstory on said stalker being the son of one of Ruri’s sponsors who she murdered (no hard feelings he’s just yandere) and how Ruri basically got yoinked up by Yodogiri for being a Wolverine Speed-healing freak with super strength who just also happened to be good at practical effects and idoling and killed her dad and made her turn into a movie makup-themed serial killer. They have some kind of Eyes Wide Shut party cutting her open and watching her heal back up and I’m not sure if there’s any scientific endgame to that or if it’s just rich people being assholes as they’re want to do. Mikado has a totally not sketchy at all conversation with Kadota about how since the Dollars are freedom then he’s free to force people to not be free and Dota-chin’s just like ‘Oh god I’m watching a villain arc right now aren’t I?” Ruri tells Kasuka about his past and he’s like “Maybe give me the info dump when you’re not being stalked like I love you and wanna find out about you but if you’re only telling me in the hopes I’ll validate your past you might wanna work yourself out first before coming to me with that shit’ which is kinda harsh but understandable I guess. They call Mika over for a security check and she breaks into Celty’s house in like five seconds and it’s hilarious. Learning nothing from this Shinra opens the door a bit later and gets decked by the stalker who proceeds to beat the shit out of him because he wants to attack everyone Ruri knows so he can break her spirit before he does whatever he’s gonna do to her.

If you could cross InuYasha over with any movie, what movie would it be? Oh and don't worry, I don't mean like, the couples change or anything. But if Inu and Kag had to fall into a movie and live in that movie or vise versa, what movie would you pick?
OH GOD so many choices!! I mean I could call forth my Inner Smut Slut™ and say something like Magic Mike for….obvious reasons ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) hNGGGG but then again that’s not very original huehuehuee so I guess I’ll go with something more action packed and sorta romantic (BECAUSE OT FREAKING P) and say…Idk Speed?  Honestly one of my fav movies. lotta action, captivating plot, romance.  also, Inuyasha as a hot cop is 👍👍👍 ugh I am not very good at these kinds of questions lol I literally can never think of like any movie i’ve ever watched ever hahahahaha.  and Idk why fucking deadpool just popped into my brain wtf LOL CAN YOU IMAGINE RYAN REYNOLDS AS INUYASHA OH GOOD LORD

Prologue
It began in a forest at midnight. It was supposed to be a peaceful night, but suddenly a beam appeared in the forest. It’s a huge fire. The forest was on fire. People who lived in the village nearby ran to the forest to see what happened. It was a wrecked airplane that just fell from the sky. People used hammers to dig the airplane to see whether there are any survivors.
Suddenly, a man walked out from the airplane. He seemed fine, but the crowd was shocked.
‘Apologies for my courtesy. In accordance with civil society, I should introduce myself,’ said the man. He pulled out a badge on his chest. The badge was black and words on it were engraved with silver. One of the teenagers from the village read off the words on it
‘I am a detective from Europole (Europe Detective and Police Organisation), which I am an office equipment. Category number 98F78195, made by ability technician Dr. Wollstonecraft. The first ever humanoid computer that serves for worldwide police facilities. Code name is Adam, Adam Frankenstein. It is my pleasure to meet you. I should carry out my mission now, see you.’
Before Adam left, he asked ‘Do you know a person called Nakahara Chuuya?’
-
Code:01 A programme with 2383 lines, just an idea from a group of researchers
Chuuya couldn't see his dream. Everytime he woke up, he felt like he was in a swamp of mud. Today, Chuuya woke up in his apartment. Just like other’s morning routine, Chuuya took a shower, cleaned himself and left his home.
Chuuya was 16 years old. Since a year he had joined the mafia, Chuuya excelled in his job with the most outstanding performance, and was well recognised in the organisation.
However with all the money and status he got, Chuuya was not satisfied. The thing that he wanted the most was to know his past. Chuuya knew nothing about it. The earliest memory he had was being kidnapped to a military facility 8 years ago.
There was already a branded black car waiting for Chuuya outside his apartment with a group of men in suits and sunglasses. ‘Please go to the regular store,’ said Chuuya.
Chuuya was in charge of supervising the jewel/gemstone transaction within the Mafia and black market, which had been an important source of income for the mafia.
He arrived at the store. Before entering it, a gun was pointed on Chuuya’s head, while there was another gun pointed onto his chest. Bang! What a big sound. Yet there was no blood, but a bunch of colourful ribbons came off.
‘Congratulations to your 1st year since joining the mafia!’, said those men.
Today was the first anniversary for Chuuya joining the mafia, and his friends held a party for him. People who joined the party all belonged to the ‘young club’ of the mafia, which were all 25 years old or younger.
The party-planner was called ‘Piano Man’. He was called Piano Man not because of his black and white outfit, but his way of killing. He liked using the strings of piano keyboards and strangled people to death. Piano Man was very tall, his fingers were long and thin, and always put a smile on his face. He was by far the man who was closest to the position of the Port Mafia executive.
The second man who came to congratulate Chuuya was called Albatross, a man with golden hair. He was a teen that loved smiling and was very talkative. Albatross was in charge of the transportation aspect of the mafia, and was complimented as very efficient and speedy in completing the missions, and was currently living in the same neighbourhood as Chuuya in a high-ended area. He previously belonged to an organisation called ‘Wheelman’.
Albatross proposed a toasting, but Chuuya was not in a good mood. “Did you have a nightmare?” Albatross joked, but Chuuya turned furious after hearing the word ‘nightmare’. Everyone was horrified. ‘No I wasn’t!’ Chuuya shouted. When Chuuya was about to leave the shop, yet another man came in. He was holding a champagne glass, and on his other hand, he was holding a medical drip stand that had a drip injected into his arm. His name was Doc.
Different from other doctors in the gangster industry, Doc graduated in a Northern American university and was awarded with a Doctorate formally. Doctors were highly demanded within the mafia because members could not simply walk into regular hospitals with injuries that were caused by gunshots. Doctors in the PM were treated nicely and respected, thanks to the boss, Mori-san, who was also a former doctor. The reason why Doc became a doctor was because he wanted to get closer to God. ‘The more lives you save, the closer you get to God’ is the motto of Doc. The Bible once wrote that God saved two million lives, so Doc’s goal was to save a similar number of people, which was why he joined the Mafia.
Chuuya still wanted to leave.
“The first year was the toughest, so we need to celebrate that you got through it,’ a gentle voice said. It was a man who had an extraordinarily beautiful appearance. The first year of joining the Mafia was the so-called ‘Deadman Curve’, so a celebration is needed,” said Lippmann, the guy with a pretty face. The work of Lippmann was probably the most unique one out of all of them. He was in charge of the public relations of the Mafia, such as negotiating deals with enterprises, or having meetings with the government. It is more difficult to kill him than killing the Boss of the Mafia because Lippmann was also a famous actor, thus every single action he made would be reported by the media. Hence it was really difficult to get him.
Another man came in, and his name was Ice Man. Unlike Chuuya’s other friends, he was quiet, and wore a simple outfit. Ice Man did not show much emotion, and was low profile. His job was simple, to kill. He did not use an ability, guns or knives to kill. Instead, he used objects that were nearby to kill. Anything, regardless if it’s a pen, wine bottle or the wire of light bulbs could become a murdering tool, hence Ice Man could kill anywhere.
The gathering continued. Chuuya was gradually having a better mood, until Ice Man asked Chuuya ‘where were you born?’ Chuuya immediately grabbed Ice Man’s shirt, and there was such a tension among the guys. Piano Man then revealed that he knew why Chuuya was mad, because Mori told him about Chuuya’s past that he was just an artificial ability experiment that was created by the military. Hence Mori asked Piano Man to invite Chuuya into the younger’s club, in order to have a surveillance on Chuuya. Piano Man pointed out the reason why Chuuya was mad today because he was actually not able to dream. Suddenly, the tension was back. Everyone had their weapons already, but Piano Man took out a present for the 1st anniversary from his coat, and gave it to Chuuya.
It was a photograph, a picture of two people, and one of them was five year old Chuuya.
Tumblr media
The picture was taken in an old village in the Western region, Piano Man said. The area was abandoned afterwards but Doc found this picture inside the medical record of the village. Lippmann then added that he had asked a woman to check all the military-related databases, in which she found out that the military once held a recruitment experiment in the Western region. Still, Chuuya’s friends were able to find the family tree of Chuuya, his school, his report card and his birth record. However, such an investigation must not be known to Mori because Mori thought that if Chuuya’s background remained a secret, Chuuya would not betray the Mafia.
Chuuya did not understand why his friends did this for him. Lippmann said because they were companions. He then proposed why not they name the younger’s club as ‘Flags’.
The Flags then went to a billiards bar. All of a sudden, apart from the six people playing the billiards, there was the seventh person who joined the game. He had long arms and legs, and of course very tall. Black hair with brown eyes, and was standing by the table seriously.
All of a sudden, Albatross used his Kulric knife and sliced on the seventh person's head, which produced an uncomfortable noise. Yet, that person escaped from the attack. A fight then broke out because the Flags thought this seventh person was an ability user, and suspected his intention for coming to the Mafia’s facility. However, Ice Man pointed out that this person was not an ability user, but the fight continued.
During the fight, Adam grabbed the legs of the table, and something grew from his hand. It was a small-scale dinosaur, that grew from Adam’s hands as if it were a plant. The battle was intense. Someone shouted Chuuya’s name out of nowhere, and Adam noticed something.
‘Chuuya-san’, Adam greeted Chuuya politely.
‘I am here to protect you,’ Adam replied. Adam introduced himself, and explained his mission. Adam was sent here to arrest an assassin called Paul Verlaine.
When Chuuya heard the name Verlaine, his facial expression changed.
‘Why do you know this name?’ asked Chuuya
‘Chuuya-san, you cannot defeat Verlaine on your own. That’s why I am here. Verlaine was not only an assassin. He is the king of assassins. He is your brother.’ said Adam.
The misconception was relieved, and the Flags, together with Adam, played billiards happily afterwards.

A Midnight Gift
So I’m a horrible person and this is SUPER late, but I hope you can forgive me for that @clearwillow
Surprise! I’m your Secret Santa! I wanted this to be so much better for you than it turned out, but I hope you still enjoy it, love!
@inusecretsanta
“Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, and since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!” Kagome sang the old tune joyously as she moved about the apartment, decorating every square inch with garland, lights, tinsel and what ever else she could fit into the small space. Unbeknownst to her, her husband leaned against the doorway between the hall and the living room, his arms crossed over his chest and a small smirk playing at the corners of his lips. InuYasha truly enjoyed watching his wife get into the holidays like she always did, though admittedly this year she was going a little more overboard than normal since this would be their daughter's first Christmas.
Moroha was 10 months old but despite the young age, Kagome had purchased no less than 75 presents for their little girl. She had proclaimed with each one that this would be the last, though InuYasha knew better. He didn't mind, though. He wanted Kagome to be happy and if showering their baby with endless gifts on Christmas morning would do that, then by God he wouldn't let anything stand in her way, least of all himself. He continued to watch her move about the room, completely oblivious to his presence, all the way up until she was struggling to reach the spot above the faux mantle that she always placed the sprig of mistletoe.
Her toes were stretched as far as they would go and she still couldn't quite make it. Pushing himself away from the wall, InuYasha came up directly behind his wife, reached up to pluck the plant from her hand and placed it in it's designated place. Without turning around, Kagome asked, “And just how long were you standing there watching me?”
Wrapping his arms around his mate, InuYasha replied, “Oh, just long enough to know that you can't live without me.” Kagome giggled and turned to face her husband. Her caramel colored eyes met his amber and just like the force of two magnets coming together, their lips met in a sweet and tender kiss full of all the love the couple shared. The spell was soon broken by the sound of Moroha waking from her nap with her typical loud wail, demanding that she be paid attention.
Pulling away just slightly, InuYasha whispered against his wife's lips “I'll get her, you finish up in here,” before planting a soft kiss on her forehead and turning to tend to the newly awakened child.
Kagome watched her husband go, admiring the view of his backside in the form fitting jeans that hugged him in all the right places. Shaking herself free from the hold that her hanyou always seemed to have over her, Kagome returned to her decorating, humming various holiday tunes as she worked.
After about an hour more of continuous work, Kagome was finally able to stand back and admire her handiwork. The tree was in the corner by the window surrounded by beautifully wrapped gifts of all shapes and sizes, garland hung from the walls, lights twinkled, and she couldn't help but smile to herself that she had created this beautiful setup as a backdrop for tonight's little gathering. Their best friend's, Sango and Miroku, were coming with their three young children to spend Christmas Eve with them and Kagome couldn't be more excited for this tradition to start with their baby girl. Speaking of which, Kagome realized it was entirely too quiet in their apartment, especially since InuYasha had been with Moroha for over an hour and she hadn't heard a peep from them in almost that entire time.
Making her way down the hallway to their daughter's bedroom, Kagome stopped at the barely cracked door and peeked inside. The sight that met her eyes made her put her hand over her mouth to prevent herself from bursting out laughing. In the middle of the room Moroha was sitting watching her father, absolutely captivated by what he was doing. InuYasha had tied one of Moroha's blankets around his forehead, his shirt lay forgotten on the floor and he was using the baby's toy broom as a sword, pretending to fight off hoards of demons. He held the broom in both hands, facing the closet with a very intense look on his face. “Come face me, demons!” he said with false anger. “No one is going to hurt my precious little girl!” Swinging the 'sword' wildly, he moved into the closet and attacked the hoards of demons pretending to be baby clothes. Moroha squealed in delight and clapped her hands together.
No longer able to hold her laughter, Kagome snickered loudly, causing her husband to step out of the closet. He turned and looked at her, his eyes holding a gleam of mischief as he pulled one of Moroha's onesies off of his head. Kagome just laughed even harder, leaning against the wall to support herself as the hilarity of what she had witnessed tore through her. Moroha turned to face her mother, giggling when she saw how red her face had gotten. Slowly, Kagome brought her laughter down to just a light snicker every few seconds and InuYasha used this opportunity to confront his wife.
Using his demon speed, he was in front of her in the blink of an eye, a move that never seemed to fail to steal Kagome's breath away. His eyes narrowed down at her in mock anger as his fists found their way onto his hips. Biting her bottom lip to stop herself from beginning another laughing fit, Kagome looked up at InuYasha's face and feigned innocence. Instead of keeping up the game, InuYasha fell into his own laughing fit after seeing that look.
Kagome never budged as she waited for the hanyou to compose himself, which he did almost as slowly as she had. “Are all the closet demons slain?” She asked him in faux seriousness. Smirking down at her he replied, “Yessum, all closet demons have been properly disposed of and Princess Yashahime is free to move about.”
Moving to lift her child into her arms, Kagome turned and said, “Good, because this Princess is supposed to help mommy make Christmas cookies in the kitchen.” She lightly poked her little girl's nose and Moroha giggled. She stopped to give her husband a quick peck on the cheek as she passed by him on the way to the kitchen.
An hour later, Kagome was lifting Moroha up out of her high chair and informing InuYasha that he would be bathing her and getting her dressed for the party set to begin in just over an hour. Staring down at his flour, sugar, and lord knew what else covered baby, InuYasha simply smiled, tucked his daughter against his side, gave his wife a peck on the cheek and turned to do as she had asked. He had seen the state of the kitchen after her experiment with making Christmas cookies with a 10 month old. He knew when to just shut his mouth when it came to his fiery tempered wife.
Surprisingly, InuYasha managed to get his daughter and himself bathed, dried, dressed and presentable just in time for Kagome to burst through the bedroom door, one hand holding the towel around her body and the other attempting to keep the towel on her head in place. He silently took Moroha to the living room and placed her in her playpen. Kagome had never been good at time management, but he knew she would somehow still manage to make herself ready by the time their friends arrived in roughly 15 minutes.
Sure enough, 15 minutes later she stepped out and InuYasha couldn't help but stare at the woman before him. She stood in the doorway to the living room putting her pearl earrings on. The tea-length emerald green dress flared out from her waist forming a delicate A-line figure, the straps hung off her shoulders, framing her neck for the simple rose pink jewel on a silver chain she always wore. Her long, ebony locks hung beautifully in loose waves around her shoulders. He knew she was wearing makeup, but it wouldn't be anything more than mascara, blush and lipstick. Kagome liked to keep things simple but she still knew how to make his heart stop in his chest.
Smiling at him, she took in his own appearance, having not noticed on her rampage to finish getting ready. He wore dark jeans, something she knew she could never have talked him out of, but they were his nicest pair. The long pure white hair she had always found to be among the most beautiful things in the world was tied high on his head in a fashion he only wore on special occasions. His shirt was a long sleeved button up in a color of burgundy she had always liked on him, though he had already rolled the sleeves up to his elbows and unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt, revealing enough of his chest to ruin the effect of his 'nice clothes' appearance. But Kagome didn't care. She honestly kind of wouldn't have minded if he just slipped that shirt right off so she could run her hands all over his chest while he held her in his arms and pressed his lips firmly down on hers.
The sound of Sango knocking and calling through the door to them broke Kagome from her daydream. She shook her head once and giving InuYasha a knowing look, made her way to the door to let her best friends inside. Sango greeted her by wrapping her arms around her and holding her tightly for a moment. Kagome had always adored that her best friend always seemed to want to show affection, so she accepted the hug as Miroku made his way in behind his wife with his 18 month old son slung over his shoulder and his twin 3 year old daughters each holding one of his hands.
InuYasha shook his head at Miroku as he snatched Hisui from his shoulder and greeted the boy with a high five before placing him in the playpen with Moroha. Before he could turn around, he felt his legs become trapped by a pair of arms wrapped around each one. He looked down and saw Kin'u and Gyokuto staring up at him.
“Uncle Yasha, daddy says you and Auntie 'Gome got us presents and we can open them up!” Kin'u asked excitedly. Bending down and grabbing a girl in each of his arms, he replied, “Oh he did, did he?” The girls nodded in unison. Chuckling, InuYasha whispered to the girls, “Well, your daddy is right, but you have to wait just a little longer to open them up. Can you girls be good and wait so your Auntie 'Gome and mommy can talk a little?” The girls faces fell slightly. “Tell you what,” he whispered to them, “if you two can wait a little while and let your mommy and auntie have some time together, I'll give you each a Christmas cookie before dinner. Deal?” The girls both smiled and nodded emphatically.
He carried the girls into the kitchen and set them both on the counter next to the sink. Reaching up onto the breakfast bar where Kagome had placed the plate of cookies, he snatched up three of the biggest cookies on the plate and gave one to each girl while taking a sizable bite of his own. The girls giggled at him as they enjoyed their treat. Their attention was drawn by their father walking into the kitchen and grabbing a cookie of his own.
Miroku leaned against the counter across from InuYasha and looked at his friend before speaking, “I see my two troublemakers have already conned you into an extra cookie,” he said, smirking at his daughters knowingly.
Waving his hand dismissively, InuYasha just said, “Bah, it's Christmas Eve. They can be spoiled a little, can'tcha girls?” he asked the pair as he winked at them. They only giggled in response. Miroku snatched them off of the counter and set them both on the floor.
“How about you two go play with your toys we brought in the living room until dinner?” he told them. “Ok daddy,” they said in unison and trotted off to do as they were asked. Miroku shook his head at the sight and stood to face his best friend. He clapped the half-demon on the shoulder and spoke quietly, “Those two are simultaneously the cutest little angels and pure demon spawn, I swear it.” Letting out a deep laugh, InuYasha joked, “Well, they are yours, so that explains the demon spawn!” Miroku glared at his friend, but only for a moment before he gave a light chuckle. “I suppose I could've been a bit of a hellion in my younger days,” he admitted.
“I think your mother would definitely agree with that assessment, considering she had to deal with your endless string of horrible phases in high school and your obsession with every girl you crossed paths with until Sango knocked some sense into that head of yours.”
“Some sense is right,” was the surprise response from the doorway. The men turned their heads towards Sango as she continued, “Some days I look at him and wonder what the hell I was thinking, but then I remember that I love the idiot so I just shrug and keep beating a little more sense into that thick skull every now and then.” She smiled up at Miroku as she stepped in and planted a kiss on his lips. “You two go do something useful and set the table while Kagome and I finish up in here.” She said as she shooed them out of the kitchen with the tableware in their hands.
Before long, both families were seated around the dining room table, joyously sharing their holiday meal with eachother, sharing stories from their past, and reveling in the miracle that was their children. Kagome felt like she was the most blessed woman on the planet to have such beautiful people to share her life with. Her eyes brimmed with tears as she watched her family laugh and smile. She truly could not have asked for a better way to spend the holidays.
As the evening progressed, the children each got to open one gift, as was tradition in their families. The twins each got a new doll, Hisui got a toy truck, while baby Moroha received a white stuffed cat with twin tails and red eyes. She immediately latched onto the toy and refused to let it go, all the way up until she fell asleep next to Hisui in her playpen, holding it in her tiny arms.
The adults spent a few hours talking and enjoying the quiet after the twins also fell asleep in the reclining chair in the corner of the room. But before long, it was after 11 and they began to say their goodbyes to eachother. Sango hugged Kagome and InuYasha and wished them both a wonderful Christmas before she lifted her son into her arms and carried him out to the car. Miroku hugged Kagome and InuYasha as well before he grabbed a daughter in each arm and started out to the car with them. InuYasha opened the door for his friend and watched as he walked down the hallway. He closed the door behind him and silently began helping Kagome clean up. The pair worked in companionable silence for several minutes until the apartment was back in order. By the time they were finished, it was nearing midnight.
Kagome stood in front of Moroha's playpen holding a small glass of wine, just watching her daughter sleep. InuYasha came up from behind and wrapped his arms around her, kissing the top of her head. “Everything was so perfect, InuYasha,” Kagome said quietly as she leaned back into her husband's embrace.
“Oh?” he whispered. “Well, then I guess I shouldn't give you this then,” he said as he held a small navy blue velvet box in front of her. Kagome gasped and turned to face him, holding the box in her hands.
“What is this?” she asked him.
InuYasha kissed the tip of her nose and simply said, “Open it.” Kagome opened the lid and stared down at the object inside. It was a simple silver banded ring with a rose pink jewel in the center that matched her necklace perfectly, on either side was a jewel, one emerald and one ruby, which she knew represented InuYasha and herself. On the inside of the band was engraved My red string. Tears brimmed Kagome's eyes as she looked back up into the face of the man that she had loved for more years than she hadn't.
Taking her face into both of his hands, InuYasha wiped the tears and spoke softly, “Kagome, you and Moroha are my everything. I would marry you everyday if you'd let me, but I'll settle for you saying yes to renewing our vows. Marry me again, Kagome. Marry me forever.”
Smiling through her tears, Kagome responded, “Oh, InuYasha, of course I will!” as she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him with every ounce of love she had for him. Without breaking the kiss, InuYasha lifted her up in his arms and carried her to their bedroom, preparing to show her just how much he loved her well into Christmas morning.

Light Me A Lantern Chapter 40. Finale.
Tumblr media
Rating: T Pairing: Inuyasha/Kagome Summary:  Picking up the pieces after being separated for three years isn’t as easy as it may seem. A quiet, burning kind of chaos sweeps through Feudal Japan, and it’s going to take a lot more than a fairy tale ending to put things back together. They defeated a man who would become the Devil. Can they survive a man who would become a God?
Excerpt:
When the cool light faded, the dark was quick to take its place. It swallowed him whole, leaving no trace of the beach, the burning moon, the God beneath his palm - or the slender hand clasped in his. Sensation vanished, consciousness retreating  to the place behind his eyes, settling back within himself. The all-consuming shadow receded, and with its absence Inuyasha slowly became aware of a flickering, orange light pressing against the dark, not quite able to penetrate it. He became aware of the soft palate underneath his back, the scent of lingering smoke - not the smoke of a battlefield. The smoke of a hearth. Over the crackle and roar of a fire came the soft pelting of water running off a roof. A crack of thunder rumbled gentle and deep overhead.
All at once it slammed into Inuyasha. He bolted upright on his pallet with a gasp rough enough to tear at his already aching throat, torn from grief-stricken screams. The air dragged like fire down into his chest as his eyes struggled to adjust to the room. He’d been on that grassy hillside what felt like only moments ago, his body scrambling to keep up with the shock of the loss of grass beneath him and empty stars above. He saw the fire in the hearth first, its light searing into his eyes and blotching out his vision as he stared wildly around the room he found himself in.
“Inuyasha.”
The firm hand suddenly gripping his shoulder nearly had him turning to attack. Miroku instantly let go and raised his hands, knowing better than to test Inuyasha when he was like this, as if he was feral with his own fear. Gradually, the adrenaline rushed away and left Inuyasha feeling the weight of his exhaustion. His vision cleared to the familiar interior of Miroku and Sango’s home. As he sat there, his chest heaving, he took in the weary faces surrounding him; Miroku next to him, his eyes steady and reassuring. Rin, Shippo and Sango sat on the other side of the flames. The kitsune boy had removed his battle dirtied clothes and was wearing a spare robe that was still too big for him, wringing a rag into a bucket of dull, rusty water as he cleaned himself off. He’d stopped, rag dripping into the pale, when Inuyasha sat up. Rin had been wrapping a strip of cloth around a long gash on Sango’s bicep, already cleaned and topped with a sweet ointment. The youngest child, the one Inuyasha had not even met yet, lay in the cradle of Sango’s free arm, while the other three children all piled together sleeping in the far corner of the room with Jun and Kei watching dutifully over them.
Miroku reached a tentative hand to Inuyasha’s shoulder again. “Inuyasha,” he repeated, “You’re safe.”
“Where is sh-” the question was burning on his tongue with rising panic, but as Inuyasha searched manically around the room, he found the answer laying out beside him; Kagome, washed of any trace of blood in a clean white kimono.
I’m so not ready to say “the end” but this is it. The End.
It’s everything I’ve fantasized about for the past seven years, and I hope it is for you too. Thank you all so much for coming on this long journey with me. All my love 💕
