My best buddy watched Legion a while back and laughed at how absurd it was before we both started comparing it to AHOS’ Michael.

For those who don’t know, Legion is a completely insane movie where Michael becomes a fallen angel and resides on Earth, trying to keep this one chick safe because she’s pregnant with… I guess the equivalent of Jesus? Like a savior of the world type deal. And he’s doing that because God apparently got PISSED at all of humanity and decided to send ALL OF HEAVEN to destroy the Earth. It is… SO whack, and SO sacrilegious, but it’s also very very funny to think about. Just imagine you’re a Christian watching this and all of the sudden Saint Michael the mfing Archangel starts sweeping angels with a GUN, I can’t. It’s so funny to me.

Anywho, I decided to draw AHOS’ Michael and the rest watching Legion, with some extra tidbits. Michael is just very infatuated with human creation, appreciating a lot of what they do even if it seems weird to other people. He ESPECIALLY likes food. Angels don’t need to eat to survive, so they haven’t made much in terms of food. But humans, being hungry hungry creatures, decided that if we were going to need to eat, we were going to make it YUMMY. And Michael really really likes that. Especially junk food. Like how dare something be THAT good and THAT unhealthy for you, it’s such a counter-intuitive thought that racks his brain and he loves it. In that regard, he also doesn’t share food. It’s his. Not yours.

To add, he also like a lot of art that they produce. I’d imagine that he’d really like Legion just because it’s so backwards and stupid, and because the actor portraying him had a hot bod. He just thinks it’s flattering.

The four horsemen of the apocalypse are actually my OCs and I wrote a play about them conducting an interview for a 5th member of their crew. Also archangel Uriel is my OC and he’s a transmasc poet. Working on solidifying a more angular look with my art style, decided to use Uriel for it :) I also just wanted to draw him with his hair down and his stupid sweater thing. I love this bastard

And then, a small lore post

Had a fantastically morbid idea to make one of Beata’s hobbies be de-winging angels. Anytime she can catch an angel alone on Earth, she wastes no time in ripping their wings off, or at least attempting to. She then takes them back to be taxidermied. She’s done this enough to where she has an abundance of angel wings, switching them out by the season. Uriel would be the first angel to see her office with all these wings, due to a very specific plot point that I won’t reveal just yet >:)

Also, I wasn’t able to draw it, but I had another idea where there’d be an empty plaque on her wall. Uriel would be curious enough to ask why she doesn’t have any wings on that one, and she’ll respond with, “I’m waiting to get a pair of white ones.” That’s significant because only archangels have white wings (besides Uriel). She wants archangel wings. That makes Uriel fear for his brothers’ safety, obviously.
