This is an idea I’ve had in the back of my mind for a while but only committed to just recently thanks to the cult server. Ego has a perfect opportunity to use their metal hands for something so fun in terms of combat, so I wanted to focus on that aspect completely. Away with the axe, they are now a hand-to-hand combat mage — a spellbrawler! :]
Along with being able to punch people real hard thanks to their hands, they have a few other perks. They cannot feel anything in the metal portions of their limbs, meaning extreme cold and heat doesn’t affect them. Warming their hands to a piping hot burn in a fire makes for a nasty punch. Or, they could block pretty much any attack without pain to their limbs, making close-quarters combat very fruitful for them.
And, if bludgeoning isn’t their speed that day, their claws are always available to cut and slash with.
They still use spells heavily, mostly shock-destruction spells and conjuration spells
And don’t mind the brand on their chest for now ;]
Not entirely sure about how canon this is, but I wanted to try it out for design purposes anyway. What if the Shivering Isles started to physically change Sweetheart as he ventures through them? Or maybe this is a stage of Sheogorath’s mantle? Unsure, consider it non-canon for now
Workshopping how Mankar Camoran fits into Sweetheart’s story. Also working toward writing an Oblivion fic to post between The Dez Illusion and Salt in the Wound. If you’ve seen the tag “Mortal Intentions” on my Oblivion posts, that’s what it’s referencing.
Gonna keep any ideas I have with this concept close to my chest for now, at risk of spoilers for TDI. Unsure how far I want to commit, but we’ll see :]
“Eerily beautiful, right? There’s something so serene about being in a place so calm compared to the rest of the Isles. But you’ve noticed it too, right? The walls listen, the roots pulse, and the water speaks. Mind your reflection, now. This grove will show you things you may not be ready to see.”
Ancano has a long while to think in the Grove of Reflection.
