Hi! An idea (if you haven't already done it) of the rfa + saeran, v and vanderwood reacting to an mc who doesn't have a good relationship with her father, stepmother and (Maybe quite childish) 1 year younger stepsister?
(Maybe due to the being rude and making comments about mc and the mystic messenger characters relationship?)
And mc gets in a fight with her dad at a family dinner over comments they both make or how they act towards her and [mystic messenger character]?
I know it's specific sorry for all the writing. I hope it makes sense! I love your writing for the mystic messenger characters <3
RFA + Minor Trio with a Mc who has a bad relationship with her father and step family
TW!! Mention of family issues, bad family relationships
Hello there! I loved this request! Hope you will like reading it! Please tell me about it!
Have a nice day!
Jumin
Your husband knew what you thought of your family, especially about your step-sister who was, although, only six months younger, kind of childish.
He remembered the wedding way all too well.
Despite you telling him that you didn’t want anyone from your family, your father, and his wife to be an inclusive child on your special day, Jumin thought you would regret your decision one day.
But as it turns out, he was the one who regretted everything.
You ended up crying in a corner. Jaehee was trying to comfort you while a bodyguard had to hold back Zen from punching your father.
Jumin, who was attacked by your family first, was bad-mouthed, then you were put in the role of smut and at some point, Zen couldn’t hold his anger anymore.
Jumin was more than happy that his friends, even his father, quickly tried to soothe the situation.
This, however, left a huge scar.
Right now you and Jumin were on your way to your father’s home.
Two years after not speaking to each other, you thought that you should try to get things together. After all, you were expecting a child.
But Jumin promised himself that in any stress-related situation that would happen, he wouldn’t hesitate to drag you away.
,,Mom! I want to sit next to Oppa~’’ your sister whined.
You rolled your eyes and just sat down next to your husband, ignoring your sister and the death glare your father gave you.
,,You can never behave, can you?’’ he hissed.
,,No, I indeed can’t. I can’t let go of my husband, especially not in the house of the tiger,’’ you hissed back.
,,Guess he does you well,’’ your step-mother laughed.
,,DAD!’’ you hissed at the woman’s comment.
Jumin was rubbing your hand, he was holding back for you. You begged him.
But the next time they would say anything, he would snap.
The lunch went on with an unpleasant atmosphere.
You barely touched your food as your stepmother made sure to prepare every dish in the world you were allergic to.
But it was always like that and to know this made Jumin’s heart ache.
But then Jumin saw black. ,,Is the child even his? Are you sure you didn’t marry him for money? I don’t believe that a woman like you can ever be a parent,’’ your father said.
This hurt, especially because Jumin knew just how self-conscious you were.
With his cold face, Jumin stood up, and before a single tear could even slip from your wonderful eyes, he took your hand. ,,We tried, we gave our best, but we realize now that this is impossible. Mc, my love, your time, nerves, and happiness is too precious to try talking to them. If you allow me to, I would gladly bring you out to eat with my father instead,’’ Jumin said, glaring at yours.
,,Jumin, as of today, the only father I have is yours,’’ you said, not looking at your father.
With that, hand on your swollen belly, the two of you left.
And despite the ride being a rollercoaster of emotions, Jumin hugged you and kissed you until you calmed down.
Zen
The withe haired man always thought that his family was toxic and that he was the only one who had to go through so many hardships.
At that time, Zen still didn’t know what your family was like.
Your mother died when you were young, unfortunately, and your father remarried quickly after her death.
Zen observed all those family pictures, none containing you, only your father with his new wife and her daughter.
,,They were pretty childish, and never wanted me in the pictures, not that I would have wanted one together, but I don’t have any pictures together with my father.
We didn’t even talk ever since he got remarried. I was just…a bonus,’’ you whispered so that no one could hear you.
,,The bonus maid, I mean,’’ you said, to make it clear what your task was.
You lead him upstairs to the darkest little room.
,,This was my room after they moved into our house. My step-sister wanted two rooms, one to sleep and the other one for the toys,’’ you explained. Telling him about your past made you shiver and become emotional, but you managed to keep your tears away.
Zen hugged you, his warmth giving you courage.
But the courage disappeared as soon as you were downstairs eating.
,,Did you guys forget my plate?’’ you asked annoyed, and quickly took a fresh plate.
,,You didn’t say that he would eat here,’’ your stepmom said.
,,Yuri, get up so that Zen can sit on the good chair. The two of us can’t sit on these…cubes,’’ you mumbled.
,,Noooo, mom! I live here!’’ your sister insisted.
,,Princess, don't worry,’’ he told you before he quickly acted.
Indeed, she was childish even though she was only one year younger.
The dinner went on and no one talked to you or Zen. You were basically ignored until Yuri looked towards Zen and asked him the most impossible thing.
,,How much does Mc pay you?’’
At first, the two of you thought that she meant the agency, but when none of you responded, your father kept asking.
,,I guess my daughter pays you for some actions in your fake relationship,’’ he insisted.
You were too hurt to say anything, but Zen acted. ,,I’m sorry, but what the hell are you implying? Do you really have this kind of thought when you look at your daughter?! I won’t let her stay here to hear this kind of thing!’’ he hissed.
You already had tears in your eyes when Zen grabbed your hand and went out without looking back once.
,,Hyun…Thank you,’’ you said, once you stood next to his bike.
,,Princess…I promise you, I will give you a much better family than mine or yours, I promise…we don’t need anyone’s blessing…just the two of us…’’
Yoosung
Yoosung knew the reason why your parents, better said, your father and your stepmother and your stepsister, weren’t invited to your wedding.
And he also knew the reason you always only called your father and never went to visit him.
For you, your family wasn’t your family anymore.
But honestly, it didn’t matter as Yoosung’s mother welcomed you like her own daughter and made sure that you always felt comfortable.
Although, your dead mother was a person none could ever replace.
But Yoosung’s father, despite being kind of strict, gave him a wonderful father figure.
You were once again, eating at your in-law’s place with Yoosung, when his mother suddenly brought up your family.
,,Don’t you think that they have a right to know your daughter and the son who’s on its way?’’ she asked you.
,,Mother, don’t make her do things that make her feel bad!’’ Yoosung said, feeling immediately protective of you.
You, however, placed your hand on his shaking leg and nodded in agreement.
And that’s how the three of you found yourselves in front of your old house.
A lot of emotions were brought back as you placed your hand on your moving belly.
,,We don’t have to do it if you don’t want to,’’ Yoosung said. Your daughter was holding his hand.
,,It’s okay. As soon as they say something, we will go immediately,’’ you assured him.
Indeed, this was the right action.
No one welcomed you with a smile and the only thing your father could do as soon as he saw you was argue with you about why you couldn’t call before coming.
Your stepmother was only glaring at Yoosung and his daughter while Yoosung’s ,,Sister-in-law’’ was arguing with a six-year-old about the cookie she took.
When your step sister, however, pulled the cookie out of your daughter’s hand, everything was over.
,,You are… I have no words!’’ you hissed as you took your daughter in your arms.
Yoosung pulled you back as he tried to hold back his anger. ,,I am a father myself and I can’t understand how it’s possible to make a child feel so…so unwelcomed! I am happy that she at least has my family!’’ he hissed and with that the both of you left.
,,The first thing we will do now is go to Seven’s and take some Honey Buddha Chips!’’ Yoosung decided, driving far away from the house you would never ever see again.
Jaehee
Your soft lips brushed Jaehee’s lips and the two of you parted the hot kiss the both of you shared, looking deep inside each other’s eyes.
Before the both of you were actually making out, you were planning and organizing the little party you wanted to hold to make your relationship official.
It was your little, unofficial wedding.
Just for the two of you.
,,I was wondering… I know that you don’t want to invite your family, but I want to make an attempt to meet them. I want to be brave and keep going for the things I chose!’’ she said, making your heart skip a beat.
The first one the two of you were going to meet was your mother.
She was always a very supportive woman and loved your character and always tried her best to support you.
She was the only one you would have wanted to come to the party you were throwing.
Jaehee felt blessed to get to know her and honestly, your mother resembled her, something that made Jaehee feel even better.
The next stop was your father and his family.
Jaehee knew that you guys didn’t have a good relationship.
In fact, your father never forgave you for moving to your mother’s place.
As soon as the door was opened, Jaehee could sense the unhappy atmosphere.
She wasn’t welcome. No one looked at her and all you received was disgusted looks.
,,You came five minutes too late,’’ your father hissed.
,,I’m sorry, Father,’’ you sighed and took Jaehee’s coat, trying to put it away.
,,Don’t touch our things! I don’t want to become like you!’’ your step-sister whined, making gagging sounds and opening the closet for you.
Jaehee shivered.
It was even worse than at her aunt’s place.
But this was nothing.
As soon as you took your seat, you and your father began to argue.
You told him that Jaehee was your girlfriend and this was something he couldn’t accept.
Your stepmother even began to cry. ,,I knew that sending her over to her mother would make her a slut!’’ she whined.
,,FATHER! THIS IS A NO GO!’’ you screamed at him.
,,LOWER YOUR VOICE!’’ he hissed at you, knocking the knife on the table.
Jaehee was shocked but not scared and if it was necessary, she would use her judo moves.
,,You’re sick, sleeping with a woman! It’s not normal!’’ he mumbled, glaring at Jaehee.
Jaehee could see that you were trembling and she suddenly remembered your mother’s words: to protect you and take you away from him if he should ever say something against you.
At that moment, Jaehee knew what she had to do.
She took your hand, pulled you up, and smashed her lips against yours. You returned the deep kiss, making everyone else gasp and as soon as you guys parted, Jaehee smirked.
,,If we’re sick, you guys don’t even know what you’re missing,’’ she said and then she left the room with you following behind her.
Just when she was outside, she realized what she had just done, her face totally red in shame.
,,Woah! That was so cool!’’ you laughed and hugged her.
Saeyoung
,,We don’t have to do this if you don’t want to. If you feel weird or scared, let’s just stay at home and enjoy our day,’’ your fiancé said, rubbing your arm.
However, you already decided what you wanted to do.
You didn’t get along with your father. Honestly, living with him was hell ever since he remarried and let that woman and her daughter move in.
Nonetheless, he was still your father.
You loved him, despite the pain he let you go through. Despite the nights you had to cry yourself to sleep, you loved your father.
And you wanted him to be part of your happiness, at least you wanted to try it out.
You put on your shoes and Saeyoung followed you. His hand was scratching his head as he was about to close the door, waiting for Saeran to put on his shoes.
You wanted your family to meet everyone, meaning Saeyoung and his brother.
The ride was pretty exciting. You were nervous, scared and different scenarios went through your head, along with different kinds of answers.
But whatever your father did and said while the three of you sat around the table, was beyond whatever you played out in your head.
,,Which of them is the one that bewitched my daughter? How could you be so naive? I read what this is about in the press. Do you know that you put me and your mother and sister in a difficult position?’’ your father hissed.
Something in your heart suddenly broke down.
It wasn’t that he put his safety and his new wife’s before yours.
It wasn’t the fact that he named those two people your mother and your sister, it wasn’t his mean voice, or his eyes that were always judging you.
It was the fact that this triggered Saeyoung and Saeran, your new family.
He triggered them, he didn’t respect them, and by disrespecting them, he lost respect towards you.
,,I’m even scared to go to school. Mom said I should stay at home for a few days,’’ your step-sister said, looking as if she was about to cry.
,,For God’s sake, your brain is like the brain of a donkey. Of course she lets you skip school, it’s embarrassing to see you even trying!’’ you hissed.
,,And you!’’ you pointed at your father. ,,For God’s sake, if you knew the media, I guess you didn’t understand anything or either watched the wrong show. Whatever, I won’t stay still if you go against my relationship,’’ you hissed.
,,And Sir,’’ Saeyoung said, ,,I am the one who fuck’s your daughter. This boy here is just my brother who imprisoned her in an apartment with a bomb,’’
,,SAEYOUNG, this was so - just, please let’s go out,’’ you sighed.
The day ended with Saeyoung laughing about whatever he said and you being angry at him for saying something so embarrassing.
But for Saeran’s luck, the three of you went to the best ice cream shop.
Saeran
You weren’t really worried about your father’s comments or about the childish behavior of your step-sister.
You were more worried that the words they could throw at the both of you that could trigger Saeran.
There was something even worse than you getting hurt - Saeran getting hurt.
You wanted to protect him just like he protected you and you didn’t want the person to hurt him to be your father.
No one at all, to be honest.
But this was a step you had to take.
,,I’m nervous,’’ Saeran whispered. He was holding your hand as the two of you walked towards the house.
,,I never had a father figure, you know. Sometimes I thought that a father should behave like Saeyoung in the past when we were younger or like Jumin right now, who takes such good care of us,’’ Saeran said, ,,but I am excited to see how your father will be,’’ he smiled.
You pressed your lips together and before you even rang the doorbell, you looked into your boyfriend’s eyes.
,,My father isn’t anything like your parents, but he still isn’t the father figure you imagine. I just don’t want you to get disappointed,’’ you said, making him nod.
He was holding your hand even tighter now.
A woman opened the door, who looked as if she was your age and made an odd grimace.
,,Hello to you too. The first thing you should do is to invite a person in and then tell them who you are,’’ you tried to correct your step-sister.
She just kept looking at the both of you. ,,Did you at least bring me a present?’’ she asked you, not doing what you told her.
Of course you prepared something, but not a present for her.
Your step-sister just walked away, and without hesitating, you stepped in and invited Saeran to follow you.
The wine you brought was quickly opened and almost poured completely in your father’s and step-mother’s glasses.
Saeran chose the flowers himself, for showing deep gratitude and happiness towards your family. They were just placed somewhere and not even put into a vase with water.
This hurt your feelings as Saeran’s feelings were literally destroyed.
Soon after this, you and your father began to argue. ,,Father, I am paying for mom’s grave, you can’t just decide to dissolve it!’’ you screamed with tears rolling down your cheeks as you heard your father’s words.
,,This behavior of yours is rude towards your mother,’’ he said, looking at your stepmother.
,,SHE ISN’T MY MOM!’’ you hissed.
You were panting in rage, you were so angry…and no one except Saeran understood.
Saeran decided to stand up and hold your trembling body in his arms. ,,Let’s go. We can ask Jumin to do something about the grave and just…forget these people here.’’
That’s exactly what you did and you even took Saeran’s flowers back with you.
Jihyun
,,So, this leaves the both of us without the blessing of our fathers?’’ you asked him, pressing your lips together as you had Lucy sleeping on your lap.
He nodded.
He too had a bad relationship with his father. Oddly enough, his father was never this odd towards Jumin, who wasn’t even family.
Some part of Jihyun was somehow happy to see that you, too, had the same problem.
He was sad to know that you were in pain and that your father hurt your feelings, but he knew that you also went and were still going through the same thing.
Jihyun knew that the two of you were close and whatever happened yesterday at your father’s house made you two grow even closer.
Suddenly, someone rang the doorbell, making Lucy open her eyes as Jihyun opened the door.
A woman who looked just like you stood in front of the door. It was your mother.
,,Hello, please come in, Mother,’’ he said, in a very friendly tone.
,,Handsome and friendly as ever, Jihyun. I’m still over the fact that my age is double yours,’’ your mother joked.
,,Mom!’’ you warned when you walked out, holding your back and lower abdomen.
,,Hello, my cute little snowball!’’ she quickly said, approaching your belly to kiss it.
You rolled your eyes as you patted her head.
You were happy that she at least supported you.
,,Now tell me, what did your father do and say, and Yuri - isn’t she just a year younger? Why is she still so childish,’’ your mother asked, holding Lucy in her arms.
You told her what happened, how your father began to argue with you, especially because you and Jihyun decided to go and take your mother’s last name and her father’s name for the boy you were giving birth to.
You also told her how childish your step sister was, arguing with Lucy and even throwing her out of her room.
Your mother nodded. ,,Well, I can understand his feelings. He realized how shitty his name is,’’ she laughed. As she said that word, she covered Lucy’s ears.
,,Don’t get worked up on that, just ignore him. I know he’s your father, but if he does any harm or stresses you and your baby, just take a break from him,’’ she said, this time in a serious tone.
You and Jihyun by now felt much better and were glad that, except for the RFA members, you had at least one person who supported you.
Vanderwood
,,Don’t worry and don’t be nervous,’’ you smiled as you helped Vanderwood with his necktie.
,,You wouldn’t be enough in my father’s eyes even if you were the president of South Korea. I was always a burden so, don’t worry about anything. It will be a shitty evening no matter what we do,’’ you told him.
,,You really know how to support someone who’s nervous, huh?’’ he smirked.
Regardless, you were right.
You and your father never had a normal conversation together so you didn’t expect much of it today either.
You and Vanderwood both went out towards his car. The ride there was probably the most comfortable thing about the whole evening.
As soon as you were seated in your seats, your step-mother began to talk about herself, ranting about her hair and how stressed she was and that you never came to help her.
You just listened to her, but deep inside you were so annoyed with her.
Your step-sister quickly joined your mother and behaved so childish that at some point, Vanderwood asked you in a whispering tone about her age.
Your father thought that this was pretty rude and began to argue with you.
Of course, you defended Vanderwood.
,,He just asked me something about the food! Stop implying something that isn’t even real!’’ you hissed.
,,You never could choose your boyfriends wisely!’’ he hissed at you, something that made you shiver.
Such mean words.
,,I always knew that she would end up as a slut, daddy,’’ your step-sister commented.
You were in rage.
,,VANDERWOOD IS MY FIRST BOYFRIEND!’’ you hissed.
,,And even if she would have been fucked by the world, I wouldn’t care,’’ Vanderwood suddenly said, making your father even angrier.
,,Sir, you were the first one who began. Your daughter is such a special person and all you can do is destroy the relationship? I’m a bit disappointed,’’
You and Vanderwood didn’t even finish the not so well cooked food and just went away and never came back.
,,So, were you really a bad girl at choosing your boyfriends?’’ Vanderwood asked you, massaging your body.
,,Yes, I made the biggest mistake with you,’’ you answered in sarcasm while the both of you shared a long, sensual kiss.
