Introduction

Hey, welcome to the roleplayfinders blog. You can call me Cherry, I go by he/him.

This blog is primarily an ask/submission blog to help find other roleplayers. Please remember, I am just one person running this blog so be patient with me. Understand that asks/submissions that do not follow the rules will be removed.

Rules

1. Use the basic layout provided below for asks. It does not need to be exactly as listed but must follow a similar format. The examples are just some ideas on what an ask submission could look like, again, doesn't need to follow it exactly.

18+ looking for a kurokos basketball roleplay! I'd like to write my oc x kagami or kuroko. Please also be 18+! I'm a short lit writer (1 to 2 paragraphs) but can try to do longer. I roleplay on discord and tumblr. Please reach out if interested!

Example 3: (non fandom)

2. Submissions are for group roleplays only. Please only use the page submission when advertising for a roleplay group via discord or other group roleplays.

3. Do not spam my ask box. I am one person and it will take time for me to go through asks and submissions. I will do what I can to get all of those that follow the rules posted.

Headcanon du jour: What if most Vulcan’s aren’t massively bigoted space racists?

The majority Vulcans we’ve met have essentially been Vulcan Royalty. You know, the institution which, here on Earth, is notorious for being bigoted, backwards, and inbred. 

Tuvok and T’Lynn aren’t like that. 

But then, they’re not direct descendants of Surak, son of a galactically famous ambassador, born and raised in the capital city of Shi’Khar, heirs to a massive estate on the homeworld, and educated in schools where admission to the elite Vulcan Science Academy is taken for granted. 

Spock is the adult Vulcan equivalent of Prince Archie, if Harry hadn’t left The Institution.

Of COURSE we get flashbacks of Vulcan kids bullying Spock! The Learning Center is equivalent to the sort of British Boarding School where they sent King Charles. These places are meant to break kids. They’re all about exclusivity and maintaining the elite status quo. After all, maintaining tradition is only logical, and holy shit do Vulcans love their rituals - even if those rituals include hardcore school bullying. 

Look at how the British royal family and media treat Meghan Markle. Now look at how all the Vulcans in Spock’s orbit treat Amanda Grayson. If Amanda had married a nice Vulcan biologist somewhere out in the colonies no one would have cared, but no, she married the single most high profile Vulcan Royalty of his generation. Plenty of Vulcans were no doubt jealous she snatched up that prize of a bondmate, then masked it as criticizing his choice for being “illogical in the extreme.” 

I like to think that most Vulcans are just out there living their best IDIC lives. 

Meanwhile, the S’chn T’gai family is out there living by Royalty Rules in everything they do. 

Mutiny? Pshaw. Our great grandmother T’Pau knows a guy who knows a guy who will make the paperwork disappear. Stealing a ship? Well, the family could buy it outright, but that would be gauche. Starting a cult? Sybok is a direct descendant of Surak himself. Who better to lead a revolution?

Probably more the other way around if we're talking about their day-to-day outfits. I have a very strict rule when it comes to outfits I think Wednesday would wear, and I doubt she'd wear Vaggie's short and tight pencil skirt. It would make more sense for her to wear Charlie's suit.

But! If we're talking about their battle gears tho then I agree.

There's a lot of Voy Crew & DS9 Crew crossovers for good reason but what about Voy Crew meets the TNG Crew so they can confuse and alarm them at every turn? Most Normal Crew Ever vs Most Fucked Up Weirdos Ever - let's go!

#& the best part is that the voy crew DID used to be normal too and it'd be fun (angsty) to see them be like 'ah yes finally a normal ship #with people just like us!' only to find they're nothing like each other anymore #I'm picturing this still happening in the delta quadrant somehow. It ends with a portal to the alpha quadrant opening up somehow #and VOY crew lets the TNG crew go through (knowing they'll lose their memories of them) bc they know they wouldn't be able to survive #the delta quadrant & also VOY crew wouldn't want to doom anyone else into trying #VOY: Yes!!! CHARACTER SUBMISSIONS HAVE BEEN CLOSED

PROPAGANDA INFORMATION

Propaganda will be in the form of boxes you can check for a character, and you will be able to elaborate on some parts. This will appear as a list of bullet points that will be on the character's poll. During the tournament, if more information pops up, or people argue against a point, the character's propaganda can change.

if you have propaganda that doesn't fit into these (or more to say on the character in general), you can reblog their poll and add more information IN TEXT, and I will reblog it. You can also send in asks.

GENERAL SUBMISSION RULES

You can submit multiple different protagonists, but no repeats. You can encourage other people to submit the character. This tournament WILL DO SEEDING. (If a character gets more nominations, they will be put on the bracket away from other highly nominated characters, and against lower seeded ones.)

You can nominate characters in sets (like M/F options in video games), but I'm going to be a bit harsher on if groups can get in (ex. previously, [Kris+Susie+Ralsei] could be submitted together, but in this one only Kris would be able to continue)

RULES FOR THE TOURNAMENT

There will be 128 Characters. If there are more characters that are submitted, the lowest nominated characters will be put in preliminary polls. Characters with the most amount of votes will get in (NOT vote percentage. If a Character A gets 5% of the vote, but 60 votes, and Character B gets 15% of the vote, but only 50, Character A will go in)

If there is an 50/50 tie (including if its something like 49.9 v 50.1), then both characters will continue, but there we will not have teams this time.

If you are insulting a character, the media they're from, or the people that like it, or being a general asshole, i WILL block you! (completely biased of me but I'm banning Buffy bc last time genuinely annoyed me that much) HYPE UP your favorite characters instead of punching down on ones please!

All polls will last a week. Brackets will be split into four 32 character brackets.

during round 3, characters that lost will return in teams in each bracket

Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip) Who remembers the hurdle of doing this! I can just say it was harder than it looks to change a lieutenant's unifom to the one of an captain (different colors of collar and other details). While it's very hard to find decent pics of young Anjelica Huston to work with, a more recent Anjelica is easier so this wasn't much hard.
