Both Eponine and Cosette are sometimes ' at war with themselves '
While Eponine's ' war ' is external - scraping for her siblings, literally often physically fighting against her abusers, often resorting to violence as a form of self defense ( and that includes biting and stabbing ), carrying defense weapons wherever she went, even dressing up as a man to sneak into the June Rebellion barricades to help protect Marius
Cosette's ' war ' is internal - battling the trauma demons inside her head at times, fighting to keep peace with herself, literally passionately choosing a more peaceful lifestyle, and sometimes internally battling her inner demons
Both Eponine and Cosette also have a teetering danger to repeat a similar cycle as their biological mothers
Madame Thenardier is one of cruelty and hate
Fantine is one of suffrage, love and martyrdom
Luckily for many, Eponine and Cosette don't have to repeat a similar cycle as their bio mothers
Going over this story again. In it Silver decides that he wants to become a hero because it means being someone that can protect smiles. This is why Silver is now an aspiring hero.
I didn't notice before but Silver smiles/people's happiness have always been important to Silver along with the blue sky. This is his motivation.
As this tweet says, Silver can't help but smile when he sees people's smiling faces.
Eponine sadly thought she was ' ugly ' for quite some time
Yet she is actually quite pretty, albeit in a ' non conventional ' way ( similarly with Grantaire's appearance )
It wasn't until she has her big coming of age and self discovery arc and she and her sibs be working to flee from Monsieur and Madame Thenardier
Did Eponine eventually and FINALLY realize that she is definitely NOT ugly and is actually beautiful in her own way
Cosette isn't really aware of her beauty for quite some time
In fact, when she first entered the convent, she is literally convinced, sadly, especially thanks to the horrid abuse and bullying she endured at Thenardier, thar she is, in her words, ' Absolutely downright hideous ' ( man that literally caused Valjean and ALL the nuns and gardeners in Petit Picpus to feel heartbroken for her especially THAT )
It wasn't until through a series of therapies and recovering from her malnutrition did Cosette eventually and FINALLY realize that she is most DEFINITELY not ugly. At all
And that one's inner character can improve or soil one's appearance
And then sometime after she and Valjean left the convent and moved into that house in Rue Plumet, Cosette soon discovers her own beauty
And that is an extra push to often wear feminine accessories and flowers on her hair and all CUZ SHE NEVER EVEN FUCKING GOT TO DO THAT DURING HER HORRID TIME AT THENARDIER INN
the rose/ewan/logan trio paralleling kendall/roman/shiv theory is haunting. which one of these pathetic rich nepo kids are going to die and which one is going 2 become possessed by the spirit of their evil fascist dad
happy 4/15! whats the significance of that day? well, its two days after 4/13, which was the day i Intended on getting something like this done, but life occurred and i didn't get it done until then.
so basically i'm like two days late but. lets not worry about that!
here's to way too many years of this silly little webcomic about a silly little game a few silly little friends played that one time.
