what are your top 4 movies im curious
oooh my favorite type of question!! (also the hardest tbh)
• corpse bride (2005, dir. tim burton)
my favourite film of all time!! heartbreaking & beautiful at the same time. when i get married, im gonna use the exact same vows as this movie.(johnny depp + helena bonham carter = perfection)
• coraline (2009, dir. henry selick)
the stop-motion cinematography is pure art, as well as the aesthetic. coraline jones is my comfort character. also, “wybie-why-were-you-born”
• edward scissorhands (1990, dir. tim burton)
tim burton could do shakespeare, but shakespeare couldn't do edward scissorhands. johnny and winona almost stirred a bisexual awakening in me.
• the green mile (1999, dir. frank darabont)
adapted from the novel with the same name by stephen king. really holds a special place in my heart, being the only film that has ever made me tear up. michael clarke duncan you might be gone but definitely not forgotten.

Rereading the Green Mile by Stephen King and I forgot how absolutely beautiful that man can write. I know it gets lost in the carnage of his horror stories and gore but my goodness does he know how to weave a story!
And now I'm thinking about how people say he sold his soul to the devil to get this talent..... I get it
