"I interviewed the very excellent actor Taylor Russell (‘Bones and All’, ‘Waves’) and liked her immensely, especially when she answered my inanest question about “having short hair” thus: “Having short hair makes you feel really powerful because there’s nothing there, there’s no safety blanket there to protect you. You can’t hide behind anything. So yeah, I like short hair a lot. And every time a friend or anybody asks me, should I cut my hair, my answer is always, Yes! Yes! Don’t listen to your boyfriend!”
Also, on the delayed gratification of being a film star in the age of instacontent: “Sometimes it’s years before a film comes out, and by the time that happens, you might feel like you’re a different person,” says @tayrussell. “Or not! I like that aspect of doing films: just when you’ve forgotten about something, all this beauty springs out, sometimes years later.”

Mr. Smith: Given that EVs are mostly bought by affluent eastern urban dwellers to commute to work and given that an EV simply isn’t practical for a rural Albertan because of the distances we have to travel, their limited battery range, and too few recharging stations and given that you cannot trust the Trudeau Liberal-NDP alliance, whose support for EVs is an attack on hard-working Albertans under the guise of carbon reduction, to the Minister of Energy: how will the Alberta government balance the need to reduce carbon while still maintaining their support for Albertans’ jobs and our economy?

An Unleavened Believer
During this Feast of Unleavened Bread, we can continue to humbly examine ourselves to root out ungodly behaviors, pride being a common issue.
Presented by Mark Smith, April 23, 2024, at United Church of God in Northwest Arkansas.
