been obsessing over this musical project lately.

Can't stop imagining the moments Odysseus missed. Little mischievous joys, teaching moments etc. In this scene, Odysseus teaches Telemachus how to braid hair and Athena shares profound wisdom with two of her favorite mortals.

For some reason yesterday it seemed really important to draw naked kissing instead of getting any actual work done. But look! I drew her hands totally without reference. Actually I drew most of this without photo reference (I did use ref for his head angle), which means it took me hours (this sketch is my third attempt) but I think it was time well spent because I learned a few things :)

Hello, Hi, made one of those cool flexagon zine thingies 👋

Maybe I'll post a gif of the actual flipping of the pages since that's the whole point of making it, but right now just pictures because I don't have a way of setting up the camera so I can use both hands. ;)

We're kind of interpreting Tim and Brian's backstory since there's not much known about them, and V and I decided to explore the idea of them being drug dealers before they got caught up with the whole Operator thing.

As you can see things did not end well for them. :)

A first pass at Metis, trying to get down a design for Athena but she is quite tricky. I've considered blonde or even red hair for her, but I'd like for her to be a cooling contrast to Ares, hence her blue tones.

* little Athena and Metis... inside Zeus.

* Metis forges Athena's first set of armor and helps her escape from the fore head of Zeus.

* Athena and Owl - Because of the unusual and traumatic rebirth, Athena loses most of her memories and no longer remembers her mother or the time spent growing up inside her dad.

This comic takes a while to draw and I appreciate every comment. <3 :_; This chapter was originally going to be much shorter, but then I realized this would be Bilbo’s last moments in Bag End for a very very long time. I thought it was important to put a lot of detail into the backgrounds, to make it clearer what is tempting Bilbo to stay and what he will lose and feel nostalgic for if he leaves. Anyway, people who recognize what the little decorative horses are will win my respect. Some of you probably noticed this, but the white borders of this chapter are a reference to the line “maps made in the Shire showed mostly white spaces beyond its borders.” This line is from FOTR and referenced in chapter 15 of this comic. Another note! In the original book, Bilbo is pressured into leaving by Gandalf; in the movies/fanon, he makes the decision alone. I mixed the two! In a previous chapter, Gandalf gave Bilbo a deadline ("meet us here by eleven"), but Bilbo ultimately makes the decision alone. The next chapter, “Over the Hill and Across the Water,” will arrive….eventually!
