If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)

At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.

Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.

I hate how sometimes as a transmasc guy I feel like I'm betraying the cause kind of. Like I end up feeling awkward about stuff that's supposed to be great for women because it's not for me anymore.

Most recent time came when I stumbled upon some reddit drama over women only parking spaces which are in better lit areas close to the exit. I don't want to side with the "I guess I'll identify as a woman for ten minutes while I park" types but sometimes I feel like I'm forced to shove myself back into the woman box if I want that safety.

Also the many "girls in STEM" opportunities. Like it's good that they're there, but I hate having to either feel really uncomfortable but still get the opportunity or try and navigate that world how a man would while I still look and sound like a cis woman.

Also this one orchestra I'm in, where a while ago we were trying to pick a composer to commission, and the director noted that he decided not to put any white male composers on the recommended shortlist. Again, I get where he's coming from, but then I worry that once I transition I'll be just another white male. Maybe that would net me some opportunities if I pass well, but it hurts a bit knowing that in some people's eyes I'll fade into the boring grey amalgamation of suits and ties oppressing everyone else.

I think this is a pretty common experience.

This is what happens when feminism fails trans men & other gender-oppressed people who are not women. Cisfeminism in general forces trans people to fight over who gets to count as a woman & therefore be deserving of feminist support, because the feminist framework being used was never made for us. The fact that trans people who aren't women- or aren't exclusively women, or are read as cis men- are vulnerable and under-represented goes ignored & we struggle to have our voices heard.

Its also part of the harmful ways trans men are expected to act in order to have our identities respected. We are expected to pass, go stealth (or at least not bring up being trans "too much"), and never talk about how our experiences differ from those of cis men. Nonbinary & genderqueer transmascs are expected to either dissociate themselves from men or never talk about being NB/GQ. We are told we are othering ourselves when we point out that groups in which cis men are heavily represented have never featured trans men to any remotely similar extent. It sucks and its part of "affirming" transmasc erasure: instead of being erased through misgendering, we are erased by having our transness ignored so no one actually has to confront societal & individual bigotry against trans-men.

There's Bon Clay/Bentham from as early as Alabasta in March of 2000, 3 years after the initial publication of OP

Bon's powers let him transform into other people, and he's the only member of a bad guy group with male/female partners who doesn't have a female partner bc he's both the male AND female partner in his rank

He doesn't need one bc he's both

Bon is also consistently one of the best characters who helps Luffy, and who deeply respects the bonds of friendship, and he deeply admires Ivankov (next in the list)

Plus, Bon Clay is only one of two in the villain group to become good guys and befriends the main characters

There's fucking Ivankov, Queen of Kammabakka Kingdom an island full of drag queens and trans people, with his hormone powers that lets him trans all the genders for himself and everyone around him (aka the Newkama in Impel Down- a literal army of trans people who help Luffy break out of prison so he can save his brother)

AND he's the second in command of the Revolutionary Army, a group actively against the World Government that controls the entire globe, and is fighting against it's corrupt politics and ideals, such as allowing slavery for the higher classes, fighting the racism against Fishman it's held up for centuries, and all that stuff

Ivankov is one of the most important characters in the series in regards to the world politics and the fight for freedom against the oppression of the WG, and he works with what are unambiguously the Good Guys in the world, who are headed by Luffy's father

There's Okiku in Wano, who its 100% trans and even gets the horny Sanji treatment

(which is kinda important bc there was some Bad Trans/Queer rep earlier in the series involving Sanji running from drag queens who were harassing him and for a while Sanji was pretty transphobic and it was a whole thing, but Oda seems to have learned or educated himself by this point, so yay)

Plus Okiku is a super strong samurai, fucking powerful girl go off, and everyone treats her as one of the girls and she's the best tbh she deserves the world

She's so sweet and kind and strong af and is just as much a warrior as the rest of her group

Plus there's Yamato

Who, to be very clear, is not CONFIRMED as trans, but has a lot of gender fuckery going on that he belongs on this list imo, come to your own conclusions ig

Yamato is 100% confirmed as the biological daughter of Kaido, which is backed up in several other sources and even a colorspread with only biological women, but everyone in the story itself refers to him as he/him, Including Luffy who calls him by Yama-guy/Yamao

(something Luffy only does for men- he calls Ivankov and other more genderfluid or femme leaning queer folks by -chan)

and Yamato calls himself the Son of Kaido multiple times

Yamato saw someone be so awesome that he wanted to emulate that person and become them-

but as an apparently separate decision, he decided he also wanted to be a man, too! Not just because of Kozuki Oden, but because holy fuck look at that gender, I want that for myself!!!

His identity as Kozuki Oden and his identity as Son of Kaido seem to be separate things, bc Kaido, Kaido's forces, Luffy (our main character who helps us understand how to treat situations), and everyone else around him at least acknowledges that Yamato, is, in fact, the SON of Kaido, and everyone, regardless of which side they're on in the war, respects that and treats it as fact

Meanwhile, absolutely no one treats Yamato like he's actually Kozuki Oden

And there's no sign of Yamato being forced to become a man because Kaido wanted a son- 1), he was called Oni Princess fairly consistently as a child by Kaido's forces, and 2) he only became known as Son of Kaido after Yamato himself decided he wanted to become a man

Yamato has refused everything forced on him by his father, and has run away, hid, and fought back at every moment he could, and his gender and pronouns were the only real decision of his own that have been respected as all his other freedoms were taken from him

(Which doesn't say much about his horrible father- Kaido was guided by an incredibly strong female pirate at a young age, and he has plenty of strong women among his crew. Kaido doesn't care about what gender his kid is, or gender at all)

So yeah while Yamato is not confirmed in the text as trans like many other characters are in much more obvious ways, and several sources confirm that he's biologically female, he still goes by Son and he/him by the other characters and by his own choice, so make of that what you will

Little Moments in S2E2 of Heaven Official's Blessing

San Lang's jewelry sparkling when he's amused (?) by something. This one happens when the ghost gambling bets his daughters life. Reminds me of an anime glasses character's glass shine. this happens several times through the episode and is usually accompanied by a high pitched metallic sound. Like the chime of a sword unsheathing.

The green deer demon girl is adorable. Loving the frog man too.

The wind master genderbending back into a man after being dragged to a ghost spa with the undead women and freaking out about what kinda of products they used on his precious skin.

Xie Lian physically grabbing the wind master to keep him from slipping away to find a mirror. You're on a potentially life or death mission my guy. Bring a compact mirror on your next adventure. Fast thinking on an excuse by Xie Lian though!

This guy having zero points in stealth on a mission that the emperor himself said must be handled discreetly to avoid conflict with the ghost realm.

I love how they both panic, than immediately accept Qianqiu's imminent death at Hua Cheng's hand after he continues to insult the man in his own establishment.

Which isn't surprising because they all stand out enough as is, even if his husband wasn't with them and standing within within eyesight.

Respecting the demons/ghosts for calling out Qianqiu when he said they're lacking humanity and decency. Like 'Bruh, We are literally NOT human. We don't share you're morals or sense of decency at all. Just let us live our lives.' Like, I'm actually in agreement with them.

Getting into an air bender battle, while San Lang is barely flicking his wrist at him. I like how San Lang crushes the table and sends the shards flying at him. Showing he could easily impale Qianqiu before pulling him up at the last moment. It felt like San Lang was trying to teach him. He might have recognized that Qianqiu was young and foolish, but was trying to do good. So San Lang warns him by showing him what could happen if he keeps running his mouth without knowing who he's threatening. That or he decided not to dice Qianqiu because Xie Lian was watching... could go either way

It was incredibly sweet how when San Lang approaches Xie Lian asking for the bet he's owed, Qianqiu steps between them and holds his arm out to protect Xie Lian from who he perceives to be a threat. Qianqiu knows he wouldn't win, but he moves to protect Xie Lian anyway. He's so foolish but so brave.

San Lang would eat stale pringles off the floor if Gege touched them,

Prince being to good for his own good again by telling Xie Lian not to lie to Hua Cheng. Despite himself not liking him at all for treating him like a pinata prize in front of everyone.

This was a very cute episode and there were so many enjoyable moments.

Since GOT they’ve been using rape and abuse to humble or break a woman/Girl because they aren’t the “right” kind of woman. They don’t ride a dragon or yield a sword. They don’t fight against their period typical role in life that they were born and raised in. They’re not “A guys girl” or the “I don’t have any girl friends, they’re too much drama” types who prefer the company of men to women, who would rather train with a sword and not learn embroidery. They don’t have dialogue that vaguely sounds more 21st century than Middle Ages.

These women are seen as of less value than our little dragon riding, sword and fist fighting tomboys. So they need to be taught that if you had just been more like this or more like that you wouldn’t have been brutalized and abused. The things that were done to you by other people is all your fault and you deserved it.

This show/franchise is not even in the same room as feminism.

The sad thing is, this is not what I got from the books of asoiaf at all. Women's experience was never told in juxtaposition to others. There is no humbling or brutalizing other women as a "punishment" for not being better, more rebellious, or bolder than others. The books tell stories of suffering and that's it. The way shows and fandoms decide to try and force other characters into another one's story for the sole purpose of comparing them so they prove that stanning one means having a moral high ground over another character's stans is the most idiotic thing to ever have happened among fandoms, to say the least. Especially when the two characters in question don't even know each other.

Just look at the way Sansa and Dany are treated in the fandom. Have a shot for every time Sansa in King's Landing is called a tradwife as if this wasn't a girl in middle school trying to survive they're talking about, or for every time she's called jealous of Dany. Imagine if a stranger girl with three dragons cames knocking on your door demanding that you and all of your people and their mama bend the knee to her and you are the jealous one and the villain because you just... Don't? Also, you deserve to be threatened with death when you pose a reasonable question, and you need to take it and be better and shut up. Then you're a "girls' girl" deserving of respect, etc.

We want strong female characters to think for themselves, except when that "thinking for oneself" isn't the same thing as kissing the ground the fan favourite girl walks on.

If only fandoms paid more mind to what makes a character likeable or unlikeable in their eyes BASED ON THE CHARACTER ITSELF, and not on their perspective on their faves, interacting with them would be way more fun. Books/shows like asoiaf/GOT or F&B/HotD aren't places where you just choose a character you like and that's it, she's an icon she's a legend and she is the moment. If it was, it would either be a story for kids or a hell for Mare Sues' fans. As long as you treat asoiaf characters like deities that can do no wrong and everyone else as villains in need of redemption, you should step back and read something else.

This is something that needs to be accepted even between writers and directors, btw. Just look at what F&B was turned into. Girlboss vs Girlfail. Blacks got the Girlboss, the virtuous rightful heir, good mother fine ruler, Greens' got the Girlfail, the rape enabler, the boy mom, the tradwife, you name it.

No, it doesn't matter that the latter is doing everything she can possibly do. She was a piece of shit the moment she stopped toiling behind the former because everyone is meant to be like or kneel before girlboss with dragon. Only then are your ambitions respectable. If not, fuck you, you're nothing. Everything that happens to you is your fault. I'll be in the front seats cheering for when everything you love is ripped brutally from you.

Even when your grown-up son rapes a maid. Even when girlboss with dragon threatens to put your people to the torch because you won't bend the knee.

TL;DR: There's no need to compare/stone certain female characters for being what they are instead of a completely different type. If all of them were tomboyish with swords or feminine with embroidery, it would be boring. You aren't better than anyone for having preferences. Also, learn how to blame men when they fuck up. Sungchan feels like the bro that wants children from you yes or yes, he'd practically see you as his own incubator instead of his wife, and would also always talk about it, how many BOYS he wants to play with, and how a little girl would be perfect to complete the team (but just one, not more), he wants children so much that would forget that you're a person with feelings and that you should be the one deciding how many you want too. On top of that, he'd really complain about how low the birth rate is, saying how sad is that women have lost the desire of fulfilling their role in the world as mothers.

Seunghan is the kind of guy who wants his girl pure, and that means, virgin. Just the idea of you opening your legs for someone that's not him makes his blood boil, like, where's your respect to yourself? Oh, and don't even dare to tell him that he has to be a virgin too, he'd firmly affirm that it's not the same, even trash talking about divorced women because they're already "used". He'd also convince you, to not say gaslight you, into thinking men can't only be with one woman since it's in their nature to cheat.

Shotaro has this artsy vibe, he's a dancer, he's grown up in this free of judgment space, I just don't think he'd ever judge a woman about her career goals and her choices about family, unless she's his girlfriend. He'd pressure to look pretty and skinny, making you lose weight with sutil but hurtful comments like "uhmm, are you sure about dessert?", making you always judge how you look and compare yourself with the girls he works with. Also, like I said, he wouldn't mind if you worked, however, he'd totally hate that you didn't take care enough of the house if you worked too much, he doesn't care that the two of you have exhausting jobs, when he arrives he wants his dinner hot and his bath ready.

Sohee wouldn't have any problem with you working and not having children, but he'd support the idea of women taking care of the household, he'd wash the dishes and leave everything else to you (from buying the ingredients, cooking, to serving the meal), and he'd affirm to everyone that he's always helping around the house. It's not that he doesn't how to survive on his own, but if you were his wife, he'd just leave most of the work to you, and would probably choose to marry you with that in mind too (the idea of having practically a servant). Also, he'd hate if you earned more money than him, probably making you quit or convincing you to have an "easier" job that paid you less just to not feel his position as the house head in danger.

I don't feel nothing from Anton, he'd love a bad bitch with thick makeup, a different style, that felt passion for her career and never cooked. He's still dumb with household chores, he wouldn't be able to survive on his own, but he'd never pressure you into doing everything on your own, and he do wants children, but if you don't then there's no pressure neither, your body your choice.

i get annoyed when people gloss over Yosuke's more negative traits (i.e his homophobia, sexism, immaturity etc etc). it's important parts of his character! yes, they're nasty. he's nasty. he sucks! but it's okay! let Yosuke Suck.

with Yosuke, the way he acts is essentially just what he thinks a guy "should" do to be a guy. the swimsuits debacle. the "up close and personal" plan. the beauty pageant. it's all performative. it's him going "look at me! i like girls and boobs! i'm not gay! see?!"

he's as trapped as Kanji is by toxic masculinity. like when you go in for the famous hug he just conplains that "it's for girls".

his first thought is essentially "but what would people think?". Yosuke is incredibly concerned with what other people think. like his Shadow yells at him about how he's terrified of being alone. and he is terrified! he's terrified that Yu and everyone else would leave him if they knew the real him.

And i think there are times where he stops thinking about it but immediately regrets it like at the group date.

he plays along with everything but immediately snap back when things get "too gay". see also below the "good with your hands comment".

gay thoughts are constantly rummaging around in that brain of his. and he hates it! he tries so desperately to be the kind of guy who doesn't have gay thoughts! and he does it by taking it out on women, on Kanji, being a bad role model for Teddie, and on himself!!!

is this justification for the shit he does? no! is it mental gymnastics? maybe! did ATLUS accidentally write the most tortured closeted take on a dudebro best friend character? it'd be funny if they did!

My least favorite part about Lore Olympus is how they handled be loved characters in the myths like Demeter and Apollo. Both were powerful and highly respected Gods who weren't always the best, but had good intentions.

But Demeter is meant to be this controlling and emotional abusive mother when the most she did in the myths was not trust men? Like it's bit her fault she was just Zeus' side chick and she didn't want her daughter to have the same fate, but with that dude's brother.

Apollo was anything but a rapist. Sure he was not the best with love, but he mostly rolled unlucky with either people who didn't love him or people who died young. And Rachel makes him out to be some villain bad guy who doesn't understand boundaries instead of some god who represents ignorance. Greek mythology was MADE to explain why things happen the way they do and to explain human error, like Zeus having the human error of not keeping his dick in his pants.

BUT ZEUS CAN BE MADE MORE SYMPATHETIC, YET TWO GODS WHO WERE ALREADY SYMPATHETIC CAN'T BE?

honestly I've mentioned it in other discussions, but RS seems to just like... have a huge issue with women wanting to be anything other than a trophy wife.

Minthe doesn't want to "settle down" with Hades even though that was never her intention in the relationship and Hades is the one pushing the boundaries of the relationship? She's a gold digger taking advantage of a King and doesn't deserve to be loved.

Demeter wants to become Queen without the need for a husband and fights for the votes needed to be elected even though not a single other ruler has had to campaign for their position? She's just "jealous" of her daughter for becoming Queen through marriage and "salty" at Zeus and Hades and Poseidon because they're all rulers and she isn't.

As for characters like Apollo, they're always framed as villainous or manipulative (or outright abusive) when it's with the intent of making Hades look better. They never did this with characters like Hermes or Hephaestus because they were never interested in Persephone, but Apollo and Ares are both depicted as idiotic scumbags for the sole purpose of making Hades look like the 'better option' for Persephone. When you remove Apollo and Ares from the narrative though, and purely observe Hades based on his actions, Hades... isn't good for anyone, either. It's just really easy to make Guy A look good when Guy B is a r*pist. It's the lowest possible bar.

Basically so many characters are demonized far from their original versions for the sole purpose of pushing Persephone and Hades together, because RS doesn't know how to write a real story with real character progression. She's too afraid to give Persephone and Hades legitimate, deeply-rooted flaws or traits that would have to be challenged by the narrative in any way, so instead they're these boring self-insert projections that need everyone else to be on their worst behavior to make them look better. It takes effort to write main ship characters with real depth, whereas it takes zero effort to just make every character outside of the main ship an asshole to make the main ship characters look more redeeming by comparison.

Okay so you are in the right places but you are not really meeting people. I am going to give you some suggestions. I don't know which you do or don't do currently. So maybe try incorporating what applies.

Look the part. Make sure your style fits in aesthetically with everyone else. If you are under dressed, they know you wont belong. You have to show them you deserve to be there too. (I can write tips on this in s separate post if need be.) Grooming included. Make sure your nails and hair are done. TRUST ME people notice.

Don't only focus on talking to guys, especially if the main reason you're there is for networking. This is also obvious and looks not only distasteful, but it can make people respect you less. If you want to fit in, make sure to connect with the women too. When you talk to them, remember to be polite, charming and focus the conversation on them. Try to find common interests in the conversation and focus on that. Make sure you truly like and care about this thing. If you don't, it will be obvious.

Show confidence and pride in who you are. When you feel good and proud about how you look and what you've achieved, it will be clear in how you act and talk. This also matters when it comes to getting the attention of good guys. You probably already know that people like being around those who are happy with themselves. By showing that you're proud of who you are, you're telling everyone that you feel sure of yourself and deserve their notice.

Being kind and graceful is also super important for any woman. it will show in your aura. Treating yourself, others, and the world around you with kindness can help you feel more sure of yourself and strong, which will attract guys who like positive vibes. No matter what you choose, just make sure it lets your inner beauty shine through.

As you are scanning the room or walking around the venue, make eye contact, walk tall and SMILE :) This way you will look more approachable, confident and open to interactions. Remember, guys often observe a woman before they decide to talk to her. If they see you being unfriendly, they might decide not to approach you at all. It's like they're crossing your name off the list before you even get a chance.

Meeting people might seem tough, but it's actually quite simple. Just say hi and introduce yourself to those nearby. When you're around unfamiliar faces, reach out to the people next to you, shake hands, and say, "Hi, I'm..." It's a small step, yet lots of folks find it hard. Try doing this a few times during the evening. You'll be amazed at how nice people can be when you take the first step. And remember, the more folks you meet, the better your chances of finding the right guy. I would personally try to find something I like about the person that I can compliment or find a similar interest I can bring up " I noticed that you...". Don't spend your time going after guys who aren't interested in you, and don't keep chasing them after you've shown your interest. You've already let them know you're interested. The pursuit is what keeps their attention. If you're always available, there's no challenge, and guys might lose interest. It's good to be approachable, but you also don't want to seem too simple or uncomplicated.

Certain type of men look for certain type of women. It is important you reflect that. ( I can write a separate post on this as well as I don't think anyone on this platform even talks about this lol )

1.1.9 "The Brother Portrayed by the Sister"

not much to say about this chapter that hasn't already been said, but for posterity, I'll bullet point my thoughts.

Myriel not seeing or casually ignoring how his asceticism affects Baptistine and Magloire is Bad - he takes care of everyone else, and it's all fine and good to deprive yourself of luxuries, but these two women are not part of him. would I go so far as to call Myriel a hypocrite for this? no, because they're adults who can make their own choices, but there's a difference between making a choice with no reservations and making a choice because there really isn't any better option. and for all Hugo's insistence that they Like This, Actually, it's a little chilling to see Baptistine write about growing thinner. and speaking of which, the womens' tacit acceptance of these conditions and their lives ending with the bishop's is hypocritical in the same way Combeferre lecturing the insurgents about their surviving relatives while abandoning his own mother is.

Hugo is, as usual, Not Normal about women. "these two good women", "subordinated their actions", "easily disturbed womanly instincts", "conform to the bishop's way of life", "waited on him passively", "if to obey was to disappear", "charming and instinctive delicacy", "that womanly talent"... I think I wrote "ew, Hugo" in my margins at least four times. it's at least nice to see that Baptistine can rebuke Myriel sometimes, although I don't love that she can only do it when no one else can hear.

the epistolary style isn't Hugo's strength. "the Faux" family gave me a good giggle - it felt like when I'm writing and can't think of a good name so I just wrote "John Fakename", tell myself I'll fix it later, and then never do. the unintelligible words add to the verisimilitude as well, but it overall just doesn't work for me.

they have guests?? like, little kids included? first of all, how - surely they can't all sleep in the little alcove bed or on one of the 11 chairs - but also I very much want to see Myriel interact with little kids.

there's a sense in this chapter that Baptistine in particular, but also Magloire, sees Myriel as having two discrete roles - one as brother and one as bishop. she can rebuke her brother, but when he's The Bishop, no one can question him. it calls to mind the Catholic idea of the Pope's infallibility; I wonder if Hugo did that on purpose or if it's just your garden variety 'the guy I respect can do no wrong'. I'm leaning toward the former, as there's a definite air of deference to an authority about it. feels icky!!

Baptistine saying Myriel "has no fear of darkness or of dangerous roads" as well as her later "what is there to fear in this house? [...] the good Lord lives here" reminded me of Psalm 23 (the Lord is my shepherd, though I walk through the shadow of the valley of evil, etc.)

Baptistine assures her friend that her brother is "still a good royalist" - foreshadowing the next chapter! I have Lots Of Thoughts about royalist!Myriel but those are for tomorrow.

to be clear: although the treatment of Baptistine and Magloire makes me feel Yucky especially in this chapter, I'm placing the blame for that on Hugo and not Myriel - I doubt Myriel truly thinks these two women should be silently subservient to him, and I'd be surprised if that angle even occurred to him. I'm willing to pin a bit of their general material hardship on him, but really none of the three of them actually seem to be too bothered by their living conditions (others have pointed out that Magloire is a comic character, which puts her grumbling in a less serious light), and is it fair to blame him for something the others involved don't see as harmful? lots to consider here!

Liking the first season of 'Torchwood' BUT...

See, I knew of the show 10 years ago. Watched some of it. Hated it. Forgot about it. But was watching like top 10 most shocking tv deaths (or something like that) and they had season 4 (did NOT know they had that many) of 'Torchwood' on there, saying how the latter two seasons were SOLID AF compared to the first 2 seasons.

And I am getting into it. On the 1st season finale. But I gotta say this show has so many plot holes (record setting for just 1 fucking season), and characters who make the wrong call EVERY TIME, you wonder...who am I supposed to cheer for? Cuz, by the numbers, Torchwood has hurt far more than it helped so far.

The lead-she cheated on her boyfriend (with EASE. It felt weird how easy it was for her being in a committed relationship), drugged him, erased his memory, lied to him, and then (Spoilers) got him killed. Also thru negligence, released an alien that killed a BUNCH of dudes.

The butler-he literally chanced cyber men taking over the world, and got an innocent genius doctor killed, cuz he was too much of a COWARD to let his clearly dying gf go.

Tech lady-She reads everyone's deepest darkest thoughts, then got mad when Jack sent an alien who had been murdering for centuries into the sun. She's not bad, per say, more...neutral. She's harmed the least, for sure. That's such a low bar, tho...

Captain Jack-The original reason I watched the show. I LOVED his character on Dr Who. But...this is not him. Not the same guy. Not the free spirited, happy, goofy, witty, always ready, near-god. No. This is an immortal having a mid mid mid life crisis cuz he's lived so long and WANTS to die. Seriously, cuz of his shit, and the lead's, this is like a partial drama. I will say, tho, he has had to make some TOUGH calls which did not make him well liked, but I respected him cuz you knew, deep down, it had to be done, and no one else was gonna do it*.

The doctor-In the finale I am on, he was fired. And I hope his character dies. I fucking hate him. I hate his face, his voice, his actions, his brain; everything. He convinces the noobie to cheat with him, after he basically mouth rapes her. He's angry ALL the time, yells at people thinking he's a genius when he's like the 3rd smartest. He 'falls in love' with a women, tries to demand her to stay, and gets all pity party after ONE WEEK WITH HER. Can you fall madly in love in a week? Sure. But suicidal and a threat to others cuz 'you're sad'? Go fuck yourself, you bitch. Oh, and he basically openly chooses to chance ending the world NOT because he wants to save his team mates (tho he claims that) but because he's tired of being a bitch to the time tear (or whatever the fuck they call it).

So...WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU CHEERING FOR? Jack is the only semi cool character, and he's still kinda an ass. They're ALL kinda...selfish, short sighted, fuckers.

But I will finish this series. Because, storywise, the themes and plots they got going, are HIGHLY original and almost always have 1-3 good twists I don't see coming. You don't understand: I have been exposed to so much media, I can predict most things I see within a short period of time (even whole movies from trailers). I'm SO good (or writing is THAT predictable) I actually can, based on context, guess, WORD FOR WORD some lines. Sometimes in real time. Not usually. But not too far off, either.

*I will say, the call the writers/show/characters are supposed to hate was Jack giving the child to the faeries. NO. GREAT call. Best call you could make. Every other call would have sucked. See-the girl was fucking evil. Sociopath. Straight up. Like the faeries. She hated everyone. Talked to no one, but the faeries. She was borderline evil. And the faeries straight up said if you don't give us the kid, we will kill en mass, starting with HER ENTIRE SCHOOL. And the girl WANTED to go. So...where's the problem giving up the kid? Her mom's sad? Who gives a shit. You just saved TONS of lives, an evil fucking kid is gone, and the fairies disappeared. Only one who really lose was the mom. Her long time boyfriend (he was an ass) and her kid: BOTH GONE, SAME DAY. That is cruel, but long run, genuinely, it's even best for her. Her boyfriend was abusing her kid behind her back, and her kid was cheering on the torture of kids. It's a win-win-win. Fuck you for trying to make me feel bad for him giving up the kid. She wanted to go, and I wanted her to go. Fuck her.

continuing to think about the wrestling au instead of doing anything productive

Guy leans heavily into the ridiculous asshole characterization. He's too good at pissing off the crowd and too easily entertained by getting a reaction to give it up when the rest of the team turns face, and ends up splitting to be a full-on heel for a while.

He cuts a promo that's just this. I don't care if it fits, I thought about him saying "fuck you, Baltimore!" and now I haven't been able to get it out of my head for days, it's his now.

Barda's a lot more famous than the rest of the group, since she's an unbelievably skilled face who has an elaborate long-term rivalry with the biggest heel faction and is valued for her mentorship skills. She still shows up sometimes, but she's too busy defending the women's championship to be getting deep into League shit.

That said she teams up with the Crimson Foxes occasionally because they're able to look at least a little dignified when she chucks them at her opponents and they don't have much else going on.

Obviously Ted + Booster and Bea + Tora are tag teams, but there are a lot of ways to pair everyone up. Nate is the most conventional beefy guy, so he's used to contrast Ralph's contortionist gimmick. Ted, Nate, and Scott are a pretty consistent trio whenever they just need three guys who can work together. Rex and Guy are completely insufferable. Tora has a weird intense thing with both Kara and Helena.

Lobo is there.

Unfortunately the stupid Countdown/Generation Lost plotline is very important to me. Max is dedicated to making sure his friends get the respect they deserve and that means going evil mode so they can kick the shit out of him.

Ted is so, so bad at retiring, and the only way he's able to fully step away from the industry and not just hang around doing promos and being on podcasts and feeling sad about not doing more is if he's overcommitting to the bit of being dead. He bleaches his hair to be less recognizable and it looks like shit and he never lives it down.

today i clicked on sgc's ig profile and saw that they use they/them pronouns now. and it makes me want to cry.

bc even tho we Literally went to high school together-ish (they were 3yrs after me?) we had such different experiences.

i was a Girl who hung out with guys who didn't respect me, went out with a boyfriend who was nice to me, and was too shy / awkward / busy being that shy nerd stereotype [1] that i had no "deep friendship". you could ask anyone anything about me and they wouldn't know the answer! and i wouldn't know anything about them!! [2] bc we were a small class (169) and everyone in town was a mix of neighbor and cousin, i got my invites to parties and dances, but i overall felt like i was on autopilot. i don't remember my life until i was ~16 [3]!! why!!!

i think a lot about how dr uju anya had a whole husband and child but over time realized she was a lesbian. not to parasocialize too much with this academic weapon, but i feel like i also had this experience (to a much smaller / younger degree). and i feel so sad thinking about how i could've saved so much pain in high school if i had just known i wasn't wired to like guys like that [4].

and i remember lindie [5], someone who's ~30 now and has been with her now-husband since she was ~13. one day we had a good phone call (post-hs-graduation) and she told me that for literally everyone else she could possibly see romantically / sexually, she's a lesbian. but she and her husband have literally Grown Up together. her love for him is something that goes beyond platonic / romantic / sexual attraction. it's a life partnership in every sense of the term.

this phone conversation lit a lightbulb in my summer 2019 brain. i knew that this high school bf of mine could be a life partner. we started dating when i was 11 or 12 and !!! we both saw each other grow up (at least to some degree). but something in the pit of my stomach told me i couldn't live a lie like that. it wouldn't be fair to him for me to have this self-discovery and just .. continue as if it didn't happen?

and so when someone said that dr. uju's pre-lesbian marriage was "sad" bc she didn't know she was a lesbian, i got (in my head) defensive. bc "it's totally possible to be happy and ignore this part of yourself!" (it's not).

for the longest time i told myself that being bisexual was the easiest sexuality to have bc i knew i liked women and i could always just end up with a guy to make my family happy, if i had to, ya know? i got mentally defensive when ppl online said that "invisibility is not a privilege" and "biphobia is real" bc i was subconsciously using this label as a way to hide the fact that the mere thought of a life with a man made me anxious / nauseous / scared.

and boy did that fear kick into overdrive anytime i was around a guy. if he even smiled at me, i'd go a little silly. it didn't even matter if he was straight, bi, ace, gay, or anything, i'd just latch onto the fact that it was a Man talking to me and i couldn't stop thinking about them and any comment they made that made them seem bored / annoyed at me made me spiral about my self-worth. but if there was ever a case that i Thought they even Maybe had an interest in me, i'd get nauseous again. to this day i feel like i still put guys up on a pedestal so i just have ... no guy friends [6].

Alliqui is also a huge womaniser who has a big crush on the crew's nurse, Lena. (She isn't interested because he is behaving like an idiot, asking her if he could touch her boobies! IDIOT!) He enjoys pranks and loves to prank others. He is brawling, bragging and enjoys to challenge his Capt'n to fist fights. If you have seen the series "Jackass" you can imagine what Alliqui did all day long together with the others. Stunts, silly things, idiotic things and nothing but nonsense for the sole purpouse of shits and giggles.

"When Nemo was born, our beloved mother died and our father turned into a monster. He had been ill for a long time, taken over by something we only call "the madness". A rare disease which sorely seems to be contagious for the King (A) - Class Lunarians. As the illness went on and our mother died, the madness took him over fully and turned this man into a demon. He hated Nemo. That's why he dubbed her "No one". In his twisted mind it was her fault that mother died giving birth to her, but I saw things differently. I loved my little sister from the very start and I thought that I've gotta protect her no matter what.

Father tried to kill my little sister on many occasions and I always stood between him and her. I took the punches. I took the rage. I took all the pain so I could make sure that Nemo wouldn't be harmed. I was awake every single night, every single day. I didn't sleep and made sure that my eyes were always on her. But when Nemo was a few months old, still being an infant, she suddenly began to speak her first words. I will always remember what she said when she was pointing at a book about quantum physics, which also was the first word she has ever said. Shortly after she began to read, then calculate, and then she walked and broke her first physical law. She began to screw around, braze metal scraps, build things and I began to realise what extreme intelligence she was gifted with. THIS WAS INSANE! There was no way anyone could ever comprehend this and despite me being aware of the fact that the extremely rare C-Class mutation is gifted with incredible wit, this was way beyond anything anyone could've imagined.

I knew she was special! I just knew it and when I closed my eyes, I saw her guiding us to a better future!

When I was seven, father had his last strike on her. That fateful night I fell asleep, despite trying to keep awake for years and when I woke up, I heard her cries and screams, begging father for mercy. I can't remember precisely what happened. I snapped and all I saw was black. There is this huge gap in my memory, but eventually this outburst turned into murder. I killed our father... I killed this man... and I don't know if I can ever forget what I've done. To protect Nemo, I told her that father abandoned us and grabbed himself a pack of smokes from the asteroid-belt. I told her that from now on, it'll be only her and I...

Shortly after we left home and wandered the streets of Fairy Vearth, we met my idol sitting in a bar, punching people who dared to tell him that he wasn't cool. Man! That was Capt'n Zekka!! The coolest man in all of the universe and the biggest badass I've ever heard of! I was erratic, going bonkers! My Idol! He just sat there and only looking at him was like looking at a real life superhero...

And when he suddenly talked to us? Dude! That was like a dream come true!

He asked where our parents were and I didn't know how to answer that question really. So, I lied. Telling him that they both went on a venture to the Blue World. Zekka knew that this wasn't true. He recognised me, but he didn't tell me. Our father, Sev, used to be a friend of Zekka and as I later found out, Sev had been dealing with mental decay for a long time.

When I finally told Zekka what really happened, he hugged me. It was the first time anyone, ever, besides my little sister... gave me a goddamn hug.

That this day would be a big turn-around for us was something I couldn't have dreamed of. Zekka adopted us! We now had the coolest, strongest and most badass of all Fathers in the entire universe and if that isn't the best thing ever, I don't know what is!!!

Zekka himself also quickly realised how smart Nemo was and when he saw what that little Mouse could do, his vision of the future changed quickly. She is it! She is the one who will be guiding us to the future! Who will advance our civilisation! And today? Today - The Jackpot Space Pirate Crew is the strongest and most successful Crew on the Moon. This is not because of our Capt'n. It's because of her. Because of my little sister and I couldn't be any prouder! She built our weapons, our security systems, our ship, our camp, our electrical chargers and everything we needed to become truly successful on the harsh, dire and dusty surface of the moon."
