💕Animus Vox - The Voice of the Free Mind/The Voice of the Soul

Animus Vox is one of the themes close to my heart, alongside my cosmos tide theme. It's rather canon in the story, as it also explores one of my favorite tropes: soulmates! 🤍🐭🔥

I’m not entirely satisfied with the outcome of this piece and might consider a re-draw at some point. Nevertheless, I focused on practising lighting, aiming to capture an artistic expression. ⚠

This artwork symbolises the profound bond shared between Ace and Nemo, illustrating the intense love and care they hold for each other. I depicted Ace and Nemo as the focal points of the solar system. (Or in other words, you might argue if they are representing the metaphorical centre of their universe) Like a magnetar, they are drawn to each other, their hearts aligned like two poles.💫🥰

“It’s not irrational. It’s not foolish... and maybe it's not meant to be understood. I used to stare at the moon, often feeling like I heard that same voice. I'd brush it off as my mind playing tricks on me, yet deep down, I felt like something, or someone was calling out to me, too. No matter how absurd it may seem, I don’t care if this is illogical or not - I want to believe it was you.” - Ace; Animus Vox Chapter.

👽Welcome to the Jackpot-Portraits series, fam!👽

We 'bout to drop some dope pics featuring the sickest Space Pirate Crew in the whole universe. And what's our vibe? Think old internet-trash, pixels, glitches, webcore, vaporwave, and retrostyles - we got it all!👾

First up, we got Stellato Lena - The Medic holdin' it down for the crew. This Skypiean Refugee got mad medical skills, patchin' up the "crazies" who be throwin' themselves into plasma-bomb fires, crashin' against asteroids, or chillin' in radiation baths. Lena stay grindin' - every damn day! With a crew like ours, there ain't no chillin', no peace, just constant chaos. Picture this: it's 7 AM on the moon colony, and Alliqui's screamin' for help 'cause he got his jaw busted messin' with the Capt’n. Lena gotta fix him up, all while he starin' at her like she the only thing he ever seen. Soon as she done, some garage explosion rocks her world, then Nemo hollerin' 'cause our pilot got major burns. Ain't no rest for the wicked, huh?

Least Jax ain't makin' creepy moves on her or droppin' lame date requests every five seconds. Lena got a heart of gold, though, can't stand seein' the crew suffer or her fam gettin' hurt. So, after takin' care of Jax, she got Ghyst, the nightwatch, lurkin' in the shadows, covered in blood. "Please don't tell me that's yours," she says, 'spectin' the worst. But Ghyst’s just pointin' at Mace, also lookin' like a murder scene. Turns out Mace went all out and broke his knuckles when he and Ghyst been punching some scallywags in the outskirts - and he ain't even explain why! Damn, can a girl catch a break!? “I swear they provoked it like a bloody martian hornet!”

Let's give it up for Lena, the only one with sense in this whole circus act. Constantly dealin' with these lunatics, like it's some kinda twisted game or a bad hobby. *sighs*

I might whip up a sequel someday and sketch out a few more moods. These are her most common emotions, though; I just love playing around with expressions and need the practice. So, let's break it down from left to right: #happy: That's Nemo's default setting. She's typically a cheerful soul (even if she can be a big grump too!) , and even when she's feeling blue, she doesn't broadcast it. Instead, she's all about lifting others' spirits. There were only two times in the storyline when she was genuinely down. Nemo always claims she's no fighter, but deep down, she's got spunk, just not the physical kind. #coconuts: They're right up there with happiness. Hand her a coco, and you've got yourself a gleeful Nemo! It's simple maths! ヾ(•ω•`)o

Totally not drunk: No prizes for guessing this one! I just had to draw her tipsy face again because it's a riot. Flustered or blushing—jeez, it's not a common sight, but it happens. And when it does, watch out—anger's just around the corner! >< Though anger usually arrives in stages. (She can snap in a heartbeat, but consider this your early warning system.) // Side Note: Nemo loves order just as much as chaos and sometimes she is morally grey, twisting rules to her favour! Be warned LOL 🤍😂

It kicks off with flustered; then, someone has to go and call her cute, so Nemo ditches the flustered act and slips into grump mode. "I'm not cute!" Say it again, and you're officially clueless! "Scram!" And if you're feeling bold enough to push the matter further—brace yourself for a full-blown Nemo rage. Hope it was worth it. You might wanna seek refuge on another planet. 🚀👾

Happy Birthday, Nemo! 💌🌭🍰 (6.04 - Aries) //Ah I nearly forgot t_t

Today is a special day, she gets to kick Firecracker’s Ass on the console all over! 👾👾👾

Ain’t no better way than spending the day gaming, trolling, cake-eating and chips devouring. ✨🖤⚠

This cheeky Space Pirate is physically rather weak; no mentionable muscle mass is present at her dainty frame. Through increased gravitational circumstances on the Blue World, she often moved a little slower than others as well. That ain’t the case for her fingers though - Pullin’ Triggers and smashin’ complicated finisher-move combos is a speciality of hers. Beating Nemo in games has become a hard challenge for the Fire Fist; however, she actually does teach him some combat tactics through those button-smashing lessons. ☠🐭

“Observe your enemy. Don’t head into it without knowing what you do! Analyse the situation for a moment, watch your opponents moves and create a pattern for their tactics. Learn what they can do and how they do it; always a step ahead, Firecracker!” 💥

Besides that, having a bit of a challenge is always fun; especially when you get to spent all day with your family and your most favourite things. 🙈💕☢

Shortly before Nemo officially joined the Whitebeard Crew, there was a breakdown that led her to trust the first “Blue World People” she got to know. Wanting to give Nemo time and space, the Crew often watched her behavior, not wanting to push her to talk about things she wasn’t ready to discuss. However, as her behavior and actions grew increasingly worrisome, the Crew couldn’t stand by and watch any longer. Especially Ace didn’t wish to see his new friend destroying herself, drowning in sorrows. He recognized a lot of her behavior from himself before he met Luffy and Sabo. And since he recognized this pattern of behavior, he understood where Nemo was coming from.

One morning, after a sleepless night filled with worry, loud screaming echoed across the deck as Ben, her assistant droid, caused alarm. Its Boss hadn’t been asking for help, refusing to absorb thermal energy, not sleeping, constantly working, and pushing everyone away. The night before, Nemo learned how quickly the weather can change on the Grand Line, and while everyone was asleep, a quick blizzard froze her solid, effectively threatening her life. When the Crew found her after Ben alerted them, they brought her into her parked spaceship, where Ace quickly heated her up, thawing her out and helping her regain consciousness. Once again, Nemo pushed him away, telling him to “mind his own damn business” - But this time around, Ace wasn’t having any of it! He wasn’t willing to keep watching, hence, he didn’t let her go this time around. Ultimately, this is how Nemo also finally accepted him, as a true friend.

Author’s Note: Ace prevented Nemo from running away, keeping her close, eventually causing her to fully snap. The Space Pirate first began to clench her teeth, tighten her fists, resolving in punching against the Firefist’s chest over and over again, yelling, screaming… and ultimately, crying. Despite the Crew already knowing bits and pieces of what happened to Nemo, they hadn’t realised the full scope of what she had been through.

During her complete breakdown, Nemo told him that she and her crew were just having a party and did some maintenance, resulting in security systems being shut down. No one could’ve expected this massive blast from the Blue World annihilating pretty much everyone within a second. And those that survived were on the brink of death. Ultimately, the next unfortunate circumstance was Enel’s appearance on the moon shortly after the destructive killing-blast. This self-proclaimed god wanted them to bow, and when they refused, he wiped the rest of them away. Only Zekka was still strong enough to defeat this opponent, but the Capt’n lost his life trying to save at least two of his kids: Nemo and Alliqui.

The siblings couldn’t comprehend what happened. Suddenly their whole world was gone, everyone was dead and they were the sole survivors of an apocalypse. Struck by grief and overcome by emotion, the siblings quickly finished the Omnis, and despite the ship not being ready, they still used it to dive into the Blue World and enter Mariejois, demanding answers for this genocide. You can imagine how this turned out. Nemo and Alliqui were captured, tortured and used as guinea-pigs. Eventually they managed to make their escape, but Admiral Kizaru now stood between them and their freedom. Knowing Ben restored the Omnis so much that it could at least fly them away, they knew they only needed to make it to their spaceship in order to flee. However, Kizaru wasn’t willing to let them go, resulting in Alliqui sacrificing himself so his baby-sister could live… Nemo had to watch… And ever since, she refused to sleep or rest, afraid of the nightmares and pictures that kept haunting her. Completely broken down into tears, she kept wondering what the Lunarians did to deserve all of this. What justified such genocide? Were they monsters with no right to live?

This breakdown served as a character-development and bonding scene. After the “worst is over” - Nemo joins the Whitebeard Crew, knowing that the Jackpots would’ve wanted her to live and be happy again. Ace helped her to see that and overcome this extreme grief, helping her to cope and showing her a new path. Ever since, these two have become best friends that weren’t able to live without each other for a single day.

Boooya! Nemo’s bounty develops over time, starting with 250 Mil; rising to 442 Mil, and ultimately ending up with 1 Billion after the TS. The government's reasoning? Nemo is a dangerous terrorist distributing weapons of mass destruction. LOL: Like… the gamepad, ya sayin’? Or the headset, bro? Fine, alright, admittedly her guns are dangerous and she can build the means of mass destruction, but no one ever considers that she doesn’t pull triggers unless she has to!…Or you said that “cute” word to her *sighs* And mass destruction? Seriously? Yes, there are weapons of such calibre that were built by her, but these are means to defend the solar system from interstellar invasions; an emergency precaution in case a highly developed hostile species were to cause harm. So - how about a damn “thank you” to the Mech from outer space, aye?! 😂

What people might misunderstand, possibly so due to Nemo’s bad temper, is that she is actually rather peace loving. That’s why it pisses her off if you tryna piss her off, duh!! Her dreams include the interstellar travel-net, alongside other projects such as the local dyson sphere. Free energy for everyone, a highway allowing anyone to travel among the stars and visit other planets, cultured farms on habitable and uninhabited rocks that could feed people real food, and bloody hell - have some good old adventures. ✨

The only real threat is that Nemo could expose all of their dirty secrets; and maybe this also is the true reason behind the massive raise after roughly a year.

Her bounty on the local gaming cloud is drastic though; exceeding a few trillion points of terror. This cheeky mouse is also known as a camper’s nightmare, a cheater’s horror and a master of button-smashin’! 🖤👾

JACKPOT SPACE PIRATE CREW! ™ OC-Interactions! 👾👽⚠

Well, what can I say? Meet Alliqui, Nemo’s big brother, who obviously is all muscle but no brain. Meet Mace, very annoyed and angry at this id*ot! Meet poor Lena, who’s trying to fight her eternal headache because of that guy. And lastly, meet Nemo, who has abandoned all hope! 😂

Every day, Lena does her work, gets greeted by Alli who then compliments her on her… looks. Well, it’s mostly her looks. I’m not going to be specific in this text, fill in the blanks yourself. He’s catcalling! Every day Lena rolls her eyes at him and tries to ignore him; and every day Mace snaps, punching this idiot, tryna teach him some sense of respect! And every day, Nemo is fighting to urge to not lose her mind, throw a fit of rage and help Lena to prevent Mace from hurting Alliqui… even if they all get why this escalates all the time. 😂😭

In the end, if Mace were to punish Alli, it would be Lena’s job to fix and stitch him up and since Lena is the true “sufferer” here - they just slap that guy and hope that it’ll somehow fix whatever is wrong with him! … Truth be told, just like Nemo said: “You can’t fix stupid.” 🙄

#speedpaint : 4 hrs 7 mins. ☠👾💙 Legit, I wanted to test how fast I can draw if I really put my mind into it on a very good day (physically and mentally) - On bad days, something like this might take over 6-8 hrs, that may need to be split to two or three days of work. On a really good day (also containing THC LOL) I can rush it real fast! OFC I could’ve added more detail and light, but this would’ve destroyed the purpose of a challenge!!! I think it turned out well nuff! 🐭

AMO! Loving. Wholesome. Affectionate…. And ofc, PARTY ANIMALS! Shown in this picture, see the day the Whitebeard regretted giving an allowance to his “kids”. Stunned, Fire Fist Ace couldn’t believe how easily Nemo persuaded a merchant for a huge discount on water pistols. Stocked up, delivered to the Moby Dick, this little, cheeky brat distributed the guns to her drones and droids, staging a war on shore, the town and the deck of the ship! The target? POPS! Why? BECAUSE THEY CAN! Since Ace wanted to be on the winning team and knew that “Cheeks” is a tactical genius, he joined her without hesitation, helping to distract the old man before dozens of droids, armed with water guns, opened the liquid volley! 😅😅

Pops, wet and not so happy, consulted his first mate: Marco. “Get them!” He said. “Gotcha!” The Phoenix replied. And that’s how the war started! The crew quickly gathered more water guns until everyone was equipped, armed and ready to fire. Neither Nemo nor Ace were willing to give up, delivering a battle the crew would never forget. Ultimately, the force that stood against them & the small droid squad was too numerous - delivering defeat to the challengers! 😂

Nemo: “We might have a problem… I’m sorry, man. It was nice knowing you.” Ace: “Ahhh. Don’t sweat it. It was fun.” Nemo: “.... - …. - I’d totally do it again.” Ace: “Yeah, me too!”

Follow this conversation of endless sighs when they were tasked with the losers' chore: Washing ALL the dishes after a huge buffet served to the winning party! 😂

Fashionsheet // OC Referrences

🤍There’s a bit of a difference between Nemo during her time with the Jackpot Crew, and Nemo as you see her in these pictures. Whenever the Jolly Roger on her thigh is present, it means that Nemo is the Mecha of the WB Crew and the Jackpot Crew is long gone; sent to a gruesome demise caused by a chain-reaction of unfortunate events.

🤍Nemo has a few things left from her family, such as the “Omnis” on which she worked with her big brother. Or the steering wheel which Jax, the Jackpot pilot, gifted to her. She still carries some equipment she once borrowed from Jango and Ben is still at her side; resembling her trusty droid-sidekick.

🤍What Nemo also has left of her former home is a wardrobe with a quantum field to store the endless amounts of fashion the twins designed for her. Even with the Jackpot Crew gone, their couture is lit and lives on! *pls insert sad noises here, I can’t even*

🐭Since I wasn’t happy with her old fashion sheet and I wanted some new designs, I made a re-draw. I wasn’t happy with some outfits anymore and I improved, so I wanted to do better.

⚠⚠⚠ And this time around, I made it mix and match! Of course these are far from the only fashion items she has, but it’ll do for now. Technically speaking, this is a MIX AND MATCH CSP File! Via request, you may acquire the file and play around, change colours of items, mix and match items, or design fashion for Nemo as well. There will be a “rules” document on the drive folder, pls read!!!

Nemo’s Quantum Hack Ability may be mostly useless skill in the Blue World; but against Machines, any Computer or Tech, it’s like a natural counterpart. Pacifista? Scared? PAH! These guys are hacked faster than you can bat an eye! ✨

Whereas a candle could never beat an ocean of water, Tech can never beat the Mouse. Oh, yeah! Mice! They know how to bite dem cables *puns intended* Do not forget, according to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy which heavily inspired my Lunarian Guide to the Blue World (OBVIOUSLY!) - Mice are the most intelligent species on earth! And since Nemo is lovingly dubbed a mouse too - GUESS WHAT?! (* ￣3)(ε￣ *)

Honestly, I just wanted to draw my cheeky lil’ space pirate doing some hackin’ work in cyberspace; breaching security systems like a pro. And dem glasses are just HAWT! 💥⚠

I also wanted to play with some lighting, give it some neat cyber effect and make it pop.

This was so much fun to do; like I might do a few more of that. Hope all ya’ll enjoy some cyberpunky Nemo.
