For those in separation. ❤️‍🩹
I have a few tips for those in separation with their spouse.
Establish clear boundaries: limiting your time, energy and affection with your now ex.
Give yourself space to feel your feelings.
Focus on yourself and your needs.
Do what you like to do for fun as self care. [exercising, meditating, journaling, dancing, etc]
If reconciliation is a possibility: list your "musts" for the relationship to continue and discuss them with your partner. If reconciliation is not up for debating, cut off communication with your ex. (If kids are involved only discuss matters about the children.)
Remember, sometime fighting for your marriage means separating to allow the relationship to heal. Never feel bad for doing what’s best for you and your peace. 🖤

Emotional Bank Account
One of the most common struggles I encounter while giving marriage therapy to couples is constant bickering with no underlying theme. Oftentimes, couples will seek counseling because they are tired of fighting and feel so distant from each other. There is an analogy that I use regularly to help couples understand what is going on in their relationship.
The analogy:
Imagine in any given week your tire blows out, your refrigerator burns out, and your washing machine stops working. Also, imagine what it would feel like if you only had $200 in the bank. How stressful would this feel? Think about how easy it would be to become triggered over any little thing. Now imagine those same events occurring with one difference…you now have $25,000 in the bank. What’s the difference? There is plenty of money in the bank to absorb the unexpected expenses.
How does this relate to a relationship?
Each of us has an emotional bank account. When each other’s bank account is running at or near a zero balance, it becomes easy to flip out, become irritated or aggravated with our partner. Subtle inflections in our partner’s tone, body language, or mood can easily trigger us. Not only is the couple distant due to a lack of meaningful connections, but they are driving a further wedge by the crazy cycles of bickering they keep repeating.
Consider the alternative. When individuals connect with their spouse or partner in meaningful ways, they’re effectively making a deposit into each other’s emotional bank account. The more this occurs, the higher their balance. When there is a higher balance in each partner’s bank account, grace (or the benefit of the doubt) is more readily given to each other. Each of their emotional bank accounts has plenty to absorb each other’s imperfections and unexpected foul moods.

The Importance Of How You End Your Day For The Management Of Mood Disorders
Tumblr media
Think for a few minutes about how you usually end your day. Are you “doomscrolling” through news websites, watching an endless queue of suggested videos on YouTube, binge watching a Netflix series, ruminating about a problem at work, getting into an argument with your partner, playing a video game, or texting excitedly back and forth with a friend?
“The end is important in all things.” – Hagakure: The Book of the Samurai, Yamamoto Tsunetomo
Now think about how you feel, emotionally and physically when you are doing these activities. Are they relaxing? Comforting? Calming? Do they bring a sense of closure to your day? Do they focus you upon your values, goals, or priorities? Do you have a chance to feel gratitude, pride, or to attend to any unmet needs prior to bedtime? Do they prepare you for sleep?
If the answer to these questions is “no,” then you may want to reconsider how you have been spending the hour before your bedtime.
Having a relaxing wind-down routine prior to bedtime can help to stabilize mood and to improve the quality of your sleep. Paying attention to and prioritizing these activities can help you to cultivate restfulness and to activate your parasympathetic nervous system (your “rest and digest” mode).
Activities that are known to help with this wind-down process are:
meditation or contemplative prayer
journaling expressively
deep breathing exercises
thinking of things and people for which you are grateful
thinking of things you accomplished during the day that enacted your most closely held values
thinking about the intention of your values that you want to set for the next day
preparing meals and clothing for the next day
reading a dull book (a physical book, to avoid blue light, which is activating)
gentle stretching
massage
a hot bath
Things to avoid:
Thinking about problems from the day or problems for tomorrow
Intense conversations
Screens that emit blue light, which will signal to your brain that it is not yet time to sleep
Shopping
Thinking about what you don’t have, don’t like, or regret
Entertainment or news
Any exercise that is more intense than gentle stretching
To make a change, first observe what you do in the hour prior to sleep and record how you feel about it, both physically and emotionally. Also, record the quality of your sleep the next day. Then, institute the changes suggested above by eliminating those things that are activating and by replacing them with activities that calm and soothe you. Record how the changes make you feel and how they affect the quality of your sleep. This will help you to track to the effectiveness of the changes (and perhaps help you to remember when you feel better why you made these changes in the first place so you don’t start to relapse to your old behaviors!).
The changes in mood and sleep you notice may be modest, especially at first, but remember that when managing a chronic mood disorder, any improvement in the quality of baseline mood and sleep can make a new mood episode less likely to occur and less severe and shorter-lived when it does.

Stages of Pornography Addiction
Pornography addiction or sex addiction are not officially recognised as a mental illness or disorder in American Psychiatric Association (DSM-5) or by WHO. Although the behaviour lacks a classification, it does not change the reality of the experience for those who suffer from it themselves or for those who see their loved ones go through it.
Path to pornography addiction
No addiction happens overnight. Most of them start out as harmless experimentation. Sustained use with unfulfilled emotional needs often create the circumstances in which the seemingly harmless activity becomes a compulsive behaviour or an addiction. The “harmless” activity carries a reward in its wake. Often this is an illusion of feeling in control during the consumption.
No drugs required
Unlike alcohol or drug addiction, you don’t need to consume any drugs to reach a climax in pornography addiction as your body will manufacture the endorphins that you need to get the high. Unfortunately, as with every addiction, coming down from the highs is often accompanied with feelings of shame and guilt. This is contradictory to what you feel during consumption. The behaviour continues despite these feelings.
Stages of pornography addiction
Stage 1: Early Exposure
Viewing pornography at a young age starts out as a harmless exploration of sexuality perhaps. It exposes you to images and acts at a very young and impressionable age. This does not automatically create an addiction, but it does lay the seeds for it. Seeds that can go on to bear fruit if they are nourished with repetition of behaviour and emotional coping strategies.
Stage 2: Formulation of addiction
Viewing pornography is the creation of a fantasy. It creates an escape from reality and becomes a way to get away from your problems. The sexuality part is lost and is replaced with a spectacle. People who turn to porn, keep coming back to it again and again.
Stage 3: Escalation
Having settled into your pornography use, your appetite for risk increases. The pornography addiction has also become stronger, and you crave a new high and thrill. The pornography you used to watch becomes boring and you start to look for more graphic stuff. You start to consume what used to disgust you at one time.
Stage 4: Desensitization
The graphic stuff starts to become ineffective and can no longer satisfy you. You start to become numb and seek a new thrill. The desperation to find the thrill grows and the frustration grows with it.
Step 5: Acting out
Separating reality from fantasy become difficult as time goes on. An increase in boredom and risk taking is playing alongside this inability to separate perhaps. Playing out scenarios and story lines you have seen on screen starts to become a reality for many. Your behaviour can become risky and dangerous, potentially to yourself and others.
Are the stages compulsory
Not everyone gets to stage 5 of their addiction. Not getting to later stages does not mean that there isn’t a problem or that it will not become one in the future. It just means that you have not got there. The stages are usually linear but don’t have to be. Wake up calls or being caught out can reduce risk taking ability and you can remind yourself to “behave” and therefore return to an earlier stage. This can be temporary, and you might return to the later stage as time goes on.
How is Counselling helpful
You might be aware of the habit but lack the objectivity to understand your pattern of behaviour or what purpose pornography addiction serves for your emotional needs. We work together in our sessions to understand the behaviour, the pattern of use and the reasons for it. And then we replace pornography usage with more healthier means of meeting your needs.
I provide counselling services online through Zoom, and in my therapy room in West London in Hampton. Visit for more info: https://www.gurpreetsingh.uk/stages-of-pornography-addiction/

How much does online marriage counseling in near me
Tumblr media
Marriage is a beautiful journey, but even the strongest relationships can hit rough patches. If you and your spouse are experiencing communication difficulties, recurring arguments, or a general feeling of disconnect, seeking professional help can be incredibly beneficial.
Traditionally, couples counseling has involved in-person sessions with a therapist. However, the rise of online therapy platforms has opened up a new and convenient way to access marriage counseling. But with this new option comes a question: How much does online marriage counseling cost compared to traditional methods?
This blog post will delve into the world of online marriage counseling, exploring its cost, benefits, and how to find the perfect fit for your needs.
The Perks of Online Marriage Counseling
There are many advantages to choosing online marriage counseling:
Convenience and Accessibility:  Perhaps the biggest advantage is convenience.  Online sessions can be conducted from the comfort and privacy of your own home, eliminating the need for travel and busy schedules. This can be a lifesaver for couples with hectic work schedules or childcare needs.
Affordability:  In general, online marriage counseling tends to be more affordable than traditional therapy. This is because online platforms have lower overhead costs, which they can pass on to their clients.
Wider Therapist Pool:  Online platforms often have a wider pool of therapists available, allowing you to find someone who specializes in your specific needs or who shares your cultural background.
Flexibility:   Many platforms offer flexible scheduling options, allowing you to find sessions that fit your busy life.
How Much Does Online Marriage Counseling Cost?
The cost of online marriage counseling can vary depending on several factors, including:
Therapist Experience: Therapists with more experience typically charge higher rates.
Session Length: Sessions typically range from 30 minutes to 60 minutes, with costs increasing for longer sessions.
Platform Fees: Some platforms charge a subscription fee in addition to the therapist's fees.
Here's a general range to give you an idea:
Individual Session: $60 - $120
Couples Session: $80 - $150 (per session)
Here's a tip:  Many online platforms offer free consultations, allowing you to discuss your needs and get a quote before committing.
Cost Compared to Traditional Therapy:  In general, online marriage counseling can be significantly cheaper than traditional therapy. Traditional in-person sessions can range from $100 to $200 or more per session.
Finding the Right Online Marriage Counselor
Now that you know more about the costs and benefits of online marriage counseling, here are some tips for finding the right therapist for you:
Research Platforms: Take some time to research different online therapy platforms. Consider factors like cost, therapist qualifications, user reviews, and the features they offer (video chat, messaging, etc.)
Therapist Qualifications: Make sure the therapist you choose is licensed and experienced in couples counseling.
Read Therapist Bios: Many platforms allow you to read therapist bios. Look for someone who specializes in areas relevant to your needs.
Schedule a Consultation: Many platforms offer free consultations. This is a great opportunity to get to know the therapist and see if they are a good fit for you.
Remember, Marriage Counseling is an Investment
While the cost of online marriage counseling is certainly a factor to consider, remember that it's an investment in your relationship.  The skills and tools you learn from a qualified therapist can benefit your marriage for years to come.

Finding Peace Within Therapist for Anxiety
Anxiety disorders affect millions of individuals worldwide, impacting their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. A therapist specializing in anxiety provides vital support and guidance to those struggling with excessive worry, fear, and stress. Through evidence-based techniques, compassionate care, and personalized treatment plans, these therapists help clients manage symptoms, cultivate resilience, and reclaim a sense of peace and control in their lives.
One of the primary objectives of a therapist for anxiety is to help clients understand the root causes of their anxiety and develop coping strategies to manage symptoms effectively. Anxiety can stem from various sources, including past trauma, genetic predispositions, environmental stressors, or imbalances in brain chemistry. Therapists work collaboratively with clients to explore these factors, identify triggers, and gain insight into the underlying mechanisms driving their anxiety. By understanding the roots of their anxiety, clients can develop targeted interventions to address their specific needs and challenges.
Moreover, a therapist for anxiety employs evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help clients manage and alleviate symptoms. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is one of the most widely used and effective treatments for anxiety disorders. Through CBT, clients learn to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop coping skills, and gradually confront feared situations in a systematic manner. Exposure therapy, a subset of CBT, involves gradually exposing clients to anxiety-provoking stimuli in a safe and controlled environment, allowing them to desensitize to their fears over time.
Additionally, therapists may integrate mindfulness-based techniques into treatment to help clients cultivate present-moment awareness and reduce reactivity to stressors. Mindfulness practices such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, and body scans can help clients develop a greater sense of calm and relaxation, even in the face of uncertainty or discomfort. By incorporating mindfulness into their daily routine, clients can learn to respond to anxiety with greater resilience and self-awareness.
Furthermore, a therapist for anxiety provides clients with practical tools and strategies to manage anxiety symptoms in their everyday lives. This may include stress management techniques, relaxation exercises, time management skills, and boundary setting strategies. Therapists help clients identify healthy coping mechanisms and self-care practices that promote emotional well-being and reduce the impact of anxiety on their daily functioning. By empowering clients with practical skills, therapists enable them to take an active role in managing their anxiety and reclaiming control over their lives.
Moreover, a therapist for anxiety recognizes the importance of addressing the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, and physical health. Anxiety can manifest in a variety of ways, including physical symptoms such as muscle tension, headaches, gastrointestinal distress, and sleep disturbances. Therapists work holistically with clients to address these symptoms and explore the mind-body connection. Through techniques such as progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, and biofeedback, clients can learn to regulate their physical responses to stress and promote overall well-being.
In conclusion, a therapist specializing in anxiety plays a crucial role in helping individuals overcome the challenges associated with anxiety disorders. Through evidence-based approaches, compassionate care, and personalized treatment plans, these therapists empower clients to manage symptoms effectively, cultivate resilience, and reclaim a sense of peace and control in their lives. By addressing the root causes of anxiety, integrating therapeutic techniques, and promoting holistic well-being, therapists provide clients with the tools and support they need to thrive in the face of anxiety.

☎️One day we received a call from a young man in his early 20’s whose boyfriend left him for another woman. He was not only emotionally devastated, but he was also under huge financial stress. In their 4 Years of relationship, he has developed a complete financial and emotional dependency on his partner. Now, a breakup with his ex is not only a loss of love for him but also a loss of his livelihood.
✍️Based on our observation we can say that - “Lack of money destroys more relationships”. Many couples just end their relationship because either one is not financially independent or both are not financially independent. Love itself is never enough, which is the harsh reality of every romantic relationship.
✍️In our #NoMotivationOnlyInformation campaign, we are sharing many such trends in society, whereas few trends are ironic and on the other hand few are disturbing. We are also in the process of organizing online meetup events to offer safe socialization scopes where people can encash their collective potential.
