Himeko

Honestly, i think that in the Astral Express it's a bit cold, since y'know, you're in space and stuff.

Let's be honest, the way she wears her jacket, doesn't really provide her warmth, so, she sits closer to you for warmth. <3

You finally came back from a mission on Jarilo-VI, to Himeko greeting you. She was sitting on the sofa, as usual, sipping out of her warm (burning hot) tea. "Welcome back, [Name]. How was your mission?" You look at her, move your hand in a waving gesture and answer. "Well, it was alright." You speak as you walk over to the sofa and sit next Himeko, not too far, but not too close. A few seconds later you notice Himeko, moving closer and closer, to the point she was leaning on you. "Himeko? Is there something wrong?" She looks at you and shakes her head. "No, not at all."

An evil idea popped in your head, you changed your body heat to freezing cold. Making Himeko flinch and stop leaning on you. "Pff, sorry sorry." You giggle, as you then change your body heat back to the warm one, and let her lean on you. <3

Gepard

Jarilo-VI' temperature is COLD. Very very cold. So, your body heat is usually really warm.

So, despite all the thick and warm clothing that Gepard wears, including his armor, he still tends to lean in closer to you because of your warmth.

You and Gepard were taking a walk through the District while he was off duty, stopping here and there once in awhile. "Geppie?" You call out for Gepard whose mind seemed to be in the clouds, as he was focusing on enjoying your warmth. "Huh? Oh, yeah what is it?" You then turn your attention to a cafe. "Let's go to that cafe!" Gepard turns his attention towards the cafe you were looking at. "Alright, sure." Once arriving at the cafe, you sit in the corner at a table that had a sofa which looked big enough to fit you and him, so you pat the sit next to you for Gepard to sit next to you, and he does just that. You both order hot cocoas, and Gepard ends up leaning so close to you, and became so comfortable that he fell asleep with his head on top of your own!

Jing Yuan

Ah, the big sleepy general, this man would slack off from work each time he had the chance. Such as, taking naps, doing ANYTHING but work.

Imagine being Jing Yuan's cuddle buddy. Even better that you can change your body heat, he'd do anything for a cuddle session with you especially during winter.

Jing Yuan pulled(dragged) you out of work, just for a cuddle session which he masked as an important buisness matter! So you had to go, all that it actually was... Was just his need for his cuddle. You ended up laying on top of Jing Yuan, who laid against Mimi. He was hugging you so tightly as if you were a warm plushie! Can you blame him tho? At some point he was hugging you so tight that you had to wake him up cuz you almost couldn't breathe! "'Yuan.." you poke at his face, yet he doesn't budge. "JING YUAN!" You had to yell at him to wake him up. "Huh? Hm? What is it?" He speaks as if he isn't squeezing you alive. "You're squeezing me!" He released his grip, but just dozed of back to sleep.

Legend says that he never heard the end of it from Fu Xuan, not only did he slacked off from work, but also dragged you!

Dan Heng

Imagine you and Mr. Grumpy sleeping together. And your body temperature dropping as you were sleeping!

Poor boy would be scared thinking you died, he had to shake you awake!

When you were tired, it was easier for you to let your temperature drop, as it wasn't consuming too much energy. Dan Heng didn't know that yet. You two were laying in bed. He was scrolling on his phone and holding you close to him, while you fell asleep, and your body temperature was slowly dropping, at some point, it started dropping so quickly that you scared him. "[NAME]! WAKE UP!" He shook you awake. "Danny..? What's wrong?" You looked at him confused. "Oh thank aeons, i thought you were dying!" That statement left you even more confused, as you were trying to process everything, Dan Heng hugs you. Soon after you hugged him and dragged him back to sleep, while running your fingers through his hair. "It's alright, i'm alright, go to sleep..." With a yawn you fell asleep and he did aswell a few seconds later.

When the teacher asks you to partner up with someone for an in-class activity or a chemistry experiment or a little fun game in class, it's only logical for you to pick your close friend, right?

Cater wishes that could happen to him.

Sure he's cool with everyone and everyone thinks he's a fun guy to be friends with, but no one considers him a close friend. Neither did Cater.

Oh how jealous he was whenever he sees people partnering up with their friends. He always end up either alone, with the teacher, or with someone else who also doesn't have a partner. Why can't he have someone who'd consider him irreplaceable? Oh how jealous he was of those people with close friends.

Of course he'd never show that jealousy to anyone. Why, that would not be very Cay-cay of him to be that way. Everyone knows that good ol' Cay-cay doesn't show who he really is; not that he knows who he is himself. Always changing personalities and ways he treats that person depending on who's in front of him now; all so he could finally understand what it is to be a 'friend', or the meaning of 'friends' for that matter.

it’s honestly quite simple, i’ve just been losing interest in most aspects of kpop aside from the music, which makes writing for it a lot harder than before. i also dealt with a lot of burn out for months and still forced myself to write which only made it worse. lastly, i’m an executive of two clubs at my school this year on top of all my classes, so finding time to write would be even worse than it was before :’) !

welcome to the very first installement of Winnow Weekly!!

today we meet the (once) noble Den Daev’yana, (Seed of Rebirth version), and Winnow's blood family. EXCEPT! since nine months the Den is considered missing, excepting two people - Zyn, whom Winnow likes the least in the family (he's the most pathetic meow meow but in a deragatory way), and Winnow, who had been in Dwendalian Empire in the time of the Disappearing. AND!! in the first session, upon Winnow returning to Xhorhas, we attend a ball and hear the announcement from the Bright Queen that Den Daev'yana is now officially dissolved since no progress has been made in finding them :') winnow did Not take the news well & now is even more determined to find them. exceeept he is wanted in Rosohna, where the family was last seen, for the murder his mother framed on him. (the family is messy to say the least).

Eala Daev’yana, she/they, drow (blue), 279 (Misuthar 11th 557 PD)

sweet mother go puhpuhpuh. OG Daev’yana. her favourite snack is toffee and their favourite artform is sculpture. has a very businesswomany clothing style and long hair (with a marriage bead) she keeps mostly free or does a sleek tight braid for Business ™ times. had a very strong tea-fortune-telling phase where she bothered everyone with not throwing away their teas. murderer (accidental? we simply dont know)

Luathi Daev’yana. she/her, drow (lilac), 301 (Cuersaar 20th, 535 PD)

mean toxic mom go brr. winnow always tried to impress her more than Eala & rogued mostly for her. only drinks black iced coffee. very goal-driven. loves to read in her armchair. if she had discord or a mobile phone it would always be on do not disturb. 

Zyn Daev’yana, he/him, drow (lilac), younger sibling early 220s

Sareil Daev’yana, he/him, drow, 98 (738 PD), oldest sibling / adopted into Den

Luathi’s younger brother. He must spend a good fortune on hair bleach and an hour a fortnight to buzz it short again (blasphemy in the family who cares about hair traditions above any others, if you ask Winnow). writes embarassing poetry (in canon it's just taylor swift lyrics). Regularly shows up for family board game nights, and yet almost never wins (because he’s a loser, one could argue).

Sareil is a classic gay romantic whose first love is academia, and probably always will be. He likes to read poetry while looking out of the window in his favourite spot in the tower - especially on rainy days-, and drinking mugs of tea gone cold and magically reheated over three to five open books while hectically noting down questions to his own theories. Winnow and he have a softly quiet friendship, the kind where you talk to each other more through book annotations than with face-to-face words and make the other cup of tea when you make yourself one. Winnow's nickname for him is 2D PhD (cause his previous last name also started w D and he’s a nerd) or Reirei. 

Orlas Daev’yana, she/they, drow, 77 (Thunsheer 1st, 759 PD), older sibling  

FAVOURITE NPC!!! As far as being the firsborn and the oldest child of a noble Den (for a while, at least) goes, Orlas dealt with the expectations placed upon her quite graciously. They were an A student in all aspects and institutions, an excellent notetaker and moderator of meetings between Den Thelyss and Den Daev’yana, and even brought Winnow back home (more on that another time). Coincidentally, they are also the one who told him the truth, and losing a couple of points in their mothers’ eyes along with a promise braid.  Not that it mattered - only those who knew her before Winnow entering their life could see that she had changed since he moved in. Something about them was opening slowly, like a kitten’s eye for the first time, something like happiness and relief.

If Winnow would ever write his own book, he most certainly would start with a small collection of short stories, dedicating each one to Orlas. He calls her l'Orla and cydan (undercommon affectionate term for big sister), or page Orlas in mock fancy tone And an accent, turning it more into Pajeeeh Orleeeh when he teases them. Gender-wise is a sister but not a daughter. 

Garle’as Daev’yana, they/them, drow, 51 (785PD), older sibling

Somehow, from the very first day, Winnow never really liked Garle’as, and neither did they like him back. For the entirety of Winnow’s life in the Den, the relationship between the two was tensely taut, fuelled by mutual jealousy of each other - the new attention Winnow was getting versus the comfortable history Garle’as shared with everyone, the disinclination to share inside jokes, the coldness of shoulders turned to each other in sharp contrast of the warmth offered by the others. With finally more than enough people in his life to love, Winnow was not worried about their mutual annoyance with each other - if anything it’s kind of fun to have a relaxed nemesis, and no efforts were made from either to warm their relationship (except of course, staying civil during dinners and family trips. That mostly involved the mothers strategically placing the children out of each other’s sight and hoping for the best after they learned that chastising Garle’as publicly wasn’t doing any wonders, and it worked surprisingly well). At no point did Winnow think about giving them a nickname, not even a shitty one. 

Ta’nuil Daev’yana, he/they, drow, 17 (819 PD),  younger sibling

Ta’nuil - like most members of the family - has ADHD, except it’s multiplied by being a kid. In the Den, he is famous for changing hobbies every two to six business weeks (well, at least at the ripe age of being 7). Whenever Winnow’s ADHD alligned with Ta’n’s, he accompanied him in adventures of learning new crafts: through vicariously changing hobbies, Winnow has learned about himself that he likes to work with paper - like  scrapbooking, paper sculting, and origami. Winnow’s nickname for them is spindle (cause he likes to spin) and Nui.

Elossu Daev’yana, she/her, drow, 8 (828 PD), youngest sibling

Winnow left when she was only 2, and before her appearance in his life thought himself to hate all babies - until she was the first exception. As a baby she was quite fussy and looking for undivided attention. Winnow liked to read to her. Winnow’s nickname for her is peacheeks (for her soft pinkish cheeks). 

I even came up with Undercommon writing to transcribe everyone's names, but more on that later,,,

Part 2!

Asta

Asta knew you were gentle and calm, but she didn't know of what you were capable of.

Someone was spreading bad rumors about her, the second you found out, you didn't let the person go until they weren't apologizing on their knees, crying.

Asta was shocked when she saw you walking, and dragging the person by the wrist towards her, forcing them on their knees and apologize.

"Oh jeez, someone is spreading rumors about me again..." Asta cried as you peeked and looked on her phone. "Leave it to me." She looked a bit confused at your passive aggressive tone.

A few minutes later, Asta saw you, pulling..? Someone towards her? "[Name]? What are you-" forcing the person on their knees, made Asta squeal "Eek!" You glared at the person who was on the ground signaling them to apologize. "I'm so sorry Lady Asta, i promise i won't ever spread rumors again! Forgive me please!" The person begged Asta for forgiveness. "I- i-it's alright, i forgive you."

After the person left Asta hugged you so tightly. <3

Arlan

Poor boy, he wanted to help you and protect you, yet you ended up protecting him!

He was SPEECHLESS, all he could say, were just stutters.

"Arlan? Are you alright?" You asked him, poking his cheek. "I- Uh.. y-yeah.." He was starstruck by your sudden change. "You look like you're seeing stars." His next statement led you to giggling. "Am i not tho?" Raising your finger up your lips you spoke. "Can you keeps this a secret?"

Argenti

He loves the way you look as a Glitter Warrior, and actually asks you to join him on his travels.

He even thinks you were either blessed by Idrila or are Idrila's child, he made it his mission to protect you no matter what, even if you're fully capable of doing it. <3

"Oh my, you are more than blessed with this beauty!" Argenti kneels down, takes your hand within his own and kisses your knuckles, you remained silent due to his action. "I promise you that i will protect you with my life! Please, join me on my travels!"

Kafka

She already knew your secret, Elio forseen it.

Her knew hobby was to tease you about your secret around the others, hinting at it but never actually giving it away.

"[Name], do you mind showing me that clover shield again?~" You slowly looked at her, your smile fading, trying to play dumb. "What shield..?" The others looked at you confused. "Oh, y'know, that shield. Oh wait, my bad, wrong person." The others still looked suspicious, but they didn't bother asking.

Kafka came close to your ear, whispering. "You secret is safe don't worry, i won't give it away..."

Blade

He didn't like it. Too many bright for him. He also thought it made you childish and immature.

Yet you were an even better sparring partener, but he still went easy on you, he doesn't want to hurt you. <3

You both couldn't speak about it through texts, since Silverwolf likes stealing his phone and going through his texts...

"Tch you look so immature and too bright.." Blade scoffed as you finished your transformation. "Oh shush you grumpy man."

Dashing towards you, Blade was ready to strike you, but you manage to perry by using your Clover Reflection, he kept slashing at your shield forcing your to backaway, you managed to get a small opening, and kick him, knocking him to the ground. "You.. you're getting stronger." Blade spoke while getting up.

Silverwolf

She literally thought you were either a video game character, or a hologram made by the IPC, you had to reassure her.

She liked the dynamic of your team, she would be the one hacking systems, making portals, and you would be defending her and fighting.

When Silverwolf saw you as a Glitter Warrior, she panicked. "H-hey! Where's [Name] what did you do to them?!" She was panicking, until you detransformed. "'Wolf it's me! Don't worry!" You reassured her. "Oh, i thought you were a hologram made by the IPC, i was almost gonna send you into the galaxy.."

Ruan Mei

Ruan Mei, this is a hard one, you can't tell if she is curios or if she doesn't care...

She carefully inspected you, your Glitter pad, Glitter charm, EVEN YOUR CLOTHES, it gave her a new idea for a new critter..

"How interesting.." she lifts up your arm, checking out your new outfit. "Can i look at your Glitter pad?" She looks back at you, waiting for approval. "Uh, sure go ahead." Grabbing your Glitter pad, she carefully inspects it, then hands it back to you. "I have an idea, i'll get back to you about it in a few days."

As promised she texts you to come visit her for a bit. "Ah, here you are. Come. I have a surprise." Ruan Mei gestures you to follow her. She then shows you her new creation, a critter that looked like you.

Dr. Ratio

Hates everything about it, it makes you look even more like an "idiot" in his eyes, and even immature. But you knew he didn't ACTUALLY mean it.

He secretly likes it, and makes him like you even more, especially after you helped him defeat a stinger...

"you look so childish. It accentuates your idiocy." Dr. Ratio scoffs, crossing his arms. "Oh.." it made you a bit sad. It didn't take long for him to "apologize", he doesn't apologize through wrods, rather through affection.

As you were looking down at the tip of your boots, Veritas walks closer to you, and embraces you. "Huh..? Veri-" Dr. Ratio cuts you off. "Shut up.. don't tell anyone about this and i won't tell anyone about your secret.

Me and @sweetheart-weeb-33 came up with the best TLG au ever. Listen to this:

TLG Actor Au where all the animals in the Lion Guard is a Zootopia-esque actor

Imagine all the villains are actually super sweet irl and I do mean ALL of them

Kiburi’s an actual rapper who had a hand (claw) in helping write the villain songs, especially with Janja’s lyrics. Kiburi also wanted to do a solo in “Run this Dump” but his record label wouldn’t let him

-He probably writes his own version

He and Makuu are pretty good friends irl

Oh speaking of which, it’s one of the songs that won an award. Jasiri, Ushari, and Kiburi all collaborated on it and it was legit their greatest masterpiece

-The other songs that won an award were “Sisi ni Sawa” and “A New Way to Go” (both songs Jasiri wrote herself)

-They got the news during the shooting of a scene by someone shouting “WE FREAKING WON”. There was a huge party at Janja’s afterwards. Kiburi has picked up Makuu during the excitement

-Kiburi wasn’t allowed to speak during the ceremony due to the fact that he gloats to the other nominees. Reirei offers to do it instead

They got Kenge as a guest star from another show and he accidentally keeps mixing up the two. “Oops, wrong show” is something he says a lot

This one’s my favorite: Tamka is actually English as opposed to the New Yorker accent he does in the show

“Oh! How dreadful! I have been defeated!”

“Cut! Hey Tamka, can you say that in like a New York mobster kind of voice?”

“Oh, like this? OHHHHH! DE AGONY! YOU HAVE BEATEN ME!”

“Perfect.”

Believe it or not, Sumu’s really shy and introverted off-camera. He gets so awkward when someone recognizes him in public. He gets even more surprised when people are positive about it like “Wait, you LIKED my part? You think I’m a good villain? Really?”

-He’s even apologized profusely about what his character was about to do and if he was being too scary. He swears he would never sting out of malice

Bunga gets along well with his “enemies” offscreen. He and Ushari’s friendship is so wholesome and Mama Binturong freaking loves him. She is THE mom figure ever. You know how Danny DeVito took care of Mara Wilson during the filming of Matilda? That’s Mama with Bunga

Mama’s the mom figure to everyone, honestly. She’s interrupted filming just because Ushari or Janja didn’t have breakfast that morning

Ushari doesn’t need to act much he’s already done with everybody’s shit

He and Shupavu are married irl

Njano got a part due to being the director’s son. Yup, good ol nepotism. He sometimes needs help with his lines

Bunga’s the best with improv. 98% of his stunts are improvised

Makucha has a friendlier, higher pitched voice irl. Sometimes doing his gravelly voice hurts his throat

Ora plays his part so well, everybody’s genuinely scared of him

The cloud and fire used for Mufasa and Scar are done with special effects and puppets

The bloopers are golden. There’s a lot of cursing done backstage for a preschool show lmaoooo

I want to start with the bestie / long lost twin aka Lofty! @wolperkinger on here.

We met like…back in 2014? 2015? I don’t know anymore but it’s a friendship of long years that I cherish.

I still think the way we met was hilarious. I was like “the person from deviantart made it fit their personality and I do like their take on it” and Lofty, who has been following me for a while was like hi I am that person and I was like oh.

So it’s just really funny because I know had I never made that post we would not have gotten to know each other since I don’t have a tendency to follow folks on my personal blog.

So from there on the friendship kinda started, shared pretty much a braincell to a point where we could be considered long lost twins.

I think what I like the most about Lofty is that talking to them is just, I don’t know, comfortable? They understand easily being drained from a conversation no matter how close you are with someone.

We go from months without talking and there are no hard feeling on either side and that is what makes talking to them not as stressful as with others. We can just pick up where we left off or start a new conversation because we don’t have anything to add and again, no hard feelings on either side. It’s okay not to repsond to something when you don’t know how!

We don’t even need to talk every day. We can just like or reblog from each other on our personal blog, maybe the occasional comment on a post.

But aside from being a great friend, Lofty is an amazing writer who knows how to get into a characters head!

From Splat, Makini, Janja, Nduli, Reirei, Hapi, Orchis, Silverweed and many others, Lofty adds a charming touch to them while writing these characters.

And while I always loved their writing, I think it’s astounding how much they have improved as a writer over the years as well!!
