Week 5 The write-up of Chapter 2 and Discussion for programming languages
Tumblr media
On September 23,2021, we started to gather related literature and existing systems to be use as a references for our proposed project. Luckily, we found lots of related literature and systems in a credible sites such as Research Gate and Google Scholar.
One of the related literature we found was the study of Jamhar and Hastuti (2019) , entitled Parents Involvement on Children’s Education at Elementary School in Omesuri, Lembata Regency. This study aims to ascertain how parents involvement in child's studies can affect their academic performance which resulted that, parental involvement in child's school performance has positive effects in their academic achievements especially for elementary students.
In addition, the study of Gomathy, Kumar, Manesh, and Reddy (2022), Agarwal, Joshi, and Naib(2021) and Samuel(2018), pointed out that having a Student Information System(SIS) can help institutions to maintain students' data efficiently. Moreover, SIS can also lessen the institution's time-consuming process of student activities, storing students' data, and searching students' records. This can also reduce the cost spent by the institutions to buy papers, files, and other stationary stuff that will be used for manual storing of students' data. As  the  school  increases in  its enrollees  every  year,  the  harder  it  becomes  to  deal  with, particularly in  public  academic  institutions  wherein  the population of the students is massive. Additionally, the Student Information System(SIS) can be deployed to maintain and secure the students' records(Samuela, 2018).
After constructing the write-up of Chapter 2, which is the Review Related System and Review Related Literature, we decided to conduct an online meeting through Google Meet to discuss what programming languages should we use to build our system. After a few minutes of discussion, our hacker Mr. Riemann Villaroza decided to use HTML 5, PHP 8, CSS, JavaScript, Visual Basic.net, and XAMPP, and instead of using MySQL, he decided to replace the later with Oracle Database.
Generally, we are looking forward to include the systems interface on our next update.
Project Title: A Student Information System for Patag Elementary School at Naawan, Misamis Oriental
Client: Patag Elementary School
Proponents: MADRIDANO, Charlyn- Hustller VILLAROZA, Riemann - Hacker SIJALBO, Princess Dawn - Hipster

Reddie Regency AU: Edward Kaspbrak was born into wealth, providing him with everything he could have ever wanted and all the security he would need to be successful in 19th century Britain. He hasn’t been happy in a long time.
Richard Tozier is the son of a shoe shiner and a scullery maid, set up to continue a life of poverty just like his parents. Society looks down upon him, assuming his worth based on his status. He finds happiness in everything he does.
When Richie is hired as one of the Kaspbrak’s domestic servants, he doesn’t expect much. It’s a lowly job he takes only to make money as he tries to figure out how to evade his reputation as an impoverished man and pursue an education. However, when he meets the sole heir of the household, Eddie: a young man whose disposition does not reflect his surroundings, Richie makes it his purpose to show Eddie what wonders life has to offer. The Noble Heir & The Stable Boy
Tumblr media
Reddie Week 2021 - Regency AU
(hmm in this case... it is more like a historical ID)
Hmmm I just loved the idea of a noble Eddie and Richie is working in the stables for Eddie’s family.
Eddie loves to sneak out. It is there favourite thing to chill on the hay.

Reddie fans, get ready!
Tumblr media
This will be the third annual Reddie Week! It is a prompt-based challenge designed to encourage creators to create, and to show appreciation for those in our fandom. There will be a week’s worth of prompts, and a two-week posting period starting 12 September 2021 - 25 September 2021 with a total of 21 prompts (3 per day) to choose from.
In order to avoid fatigue, this year you will have two full days to post content pertaining to that day’s prompt. Which should hopefully give you plenty of rest time in between creating!
All types of fanworks are welcome (writing, visual art, fanmixes, etc.), the only criteria is that they must feature both Richie and Eddie. We ask that you properly warn for anything potentially triggering. Please have the warnings at the top of your post somewhere, and in your tags.
Please feel free to follow this account for reminders, and to see reblogs of everyone’s work. You can share you work by tagging it #reddieweek or tagging @reddieweek in your post.
Any questions? (See our FAQ for extra info!) Concerns? Ideas you want to share? Send this blog an ask or message the mods: @eddieeatsass and @fuji09
For ease of planning, the prompts are as follows:
Day 1&2 : Accidental Dating / FBI Monitor AU / I'm Your Biggest Fan
Day 3&4: Whump / The Chosen One / Regency AU
Day 5&6: Doppelgänger / High School Sweethearts / De-Aging
Day 7&8: Ancient Egypt or Greece / Space AU / Tunnel of Love
Day 9&10: Mythical Creature / Shop AU (coffee shop, bakery, florist, etc.) / Bachelor Auction
Day 11&12: Dark AU / Game Night / Spaghetti Kiss
Day 13&14: Boarding School AU / Blind Without 'Em / Underwater Ruins
We also have an AO3 collection which we encourage you to add your fanworks to! Where to keep up to date outside of tumblr: Discord and AO3 ♥  We hope you’re all as excited as we are! Happy creating!   ♥

Headcanons for ghosts listening to music by artists that are from the same time period as they were from? Eg Pat with Queen, Thomas with Beethoven and maybe Kitty with Handel or Bach.
This has been sitting in my ask box a long time and I finally decided it was time to give an answer I consider unsatisfactory rather than leave it there forever. The primary answer is that I don’t actually know a lot about music history outside of the periods of 1930-1990 in the US (the only bits I’ve ever had to teach) and 1960-1980 in the UK, concentrated on rock in that case (the only bit I’ve researched for myself),which are precisely the bits that don’t apply to this question. So it’s difficult for me to give specifics.
For the ones I can answer: Julian I think likes the sort of sexy R&B and Hip Hop songs that were popular in the early 90s. He sings Boyz II Men’s ‘I’ll Make Love to You’ for Music Club (which I’m pretty sure actually came out the year after he died). I feel like he would have really liked R. Kelly (yuck, but I doubt Julian would have minded), but Julian died a few months before his first album was released. If you want to go into some earlier stuff, in the 70s and 80s Marvin Gaye was probably a big one for him. “Sexual Healing.” “Let’s Get It On.” There are lots of options for him with Marvin Gaye.
Pat I feel like is one of those people who is really into pop music- see his excitement over Kim Wilde- and pop everything- see his movie tastes- and so you’d probably find his choice of music on the Top 40 charts of when he was alive. So there probably was some Queen in there. Probably Wham! Phil Collins. Stuff like that.
The Captain’s musical interests I think run between show tunes (see the Major General Song) older songs that were popular with military bands in his time (see It’s a Long Way to Tipperary) and the sort of jazzy music that was popular in the thirties and forties, which you hear a sort of hint of in the score in Reddy Weddy. I personally headcannon that he has a hit-or-miss soft spot for jazzy romantic songs and he can’t figure out why he likes some and not others, but if he was capable of that much introspection, he’d realize that he only likes the ones where the genders of the parties involved aren’t mentioned. I particularly think of Frances Day singing “Did You Ever See a Dream Walking?”
Once we get before 1930, though... I really don’t know. There was popular music in Edwardian times, but I don’t know anything about it, so I can’t speculate much on Fanny. I feel like Thomas and Kitty both would have been covered by what might be considered ‘parlour music,’ so there would have been the big classical composers in there, the Handels and Bachs, but also a lot of regional music, thing ‘traditional English song’ type things, and also classical composers that are less well known than the Handels and Bachs now but where were popular at the time and then before that... Kitty seems to have been very sheltered, so I doubt she probably ever saw any of the large orchestral pieces, because I doubt anyone ever bothered to take her to the sort of place where you might find an orchestra, so she’d be limited to the sort of think that might be played by a pianist or a string duo/quartet that could be brought in-house (in the sort of event we saw in the Thomas Thorne affair, which were common enough through the Georgian/Regency period). Thomas could have seen the larger pieces, but I don’t know what either of them would have preferred.
And then as for anyone one who came before that, I have no ideas at all... music-y people, do you know any of the answers???
Sorry, I wasn’t able to give a better answer!

What do you want in an historically accurate reddie fic? (I ask this as a person who likes to fill requests and also a person who screams every time a fic isn't tagged as 'modern AU' and someone pulls out a cell phone or mentions a modern song/movie or the internet)
well, i was thinking about just a good old fashioned regency au, set in victorian times, but i don’t know much about that because it’s a bit past what i’ve learned so far, but i would still be super into it if someone decided to write it.
i was also thinking about an ancient rome au, but i don’t know how that would work because i don’t necessarily want a slave au, which is how i feel that would turn into?
i’m just open to any ideas, as long as the gang is set in a different historical period and everything makes sense. like you said, a cell phone in a victorian set fanfic is not it.

Wellington Govt House
the principal residence and workplace of the Governor-General, currently Dame Patsy Reddy (since 2016) who lives there with her husband.
main venue where the governor-general entertains members of the public, and receives visiting heads of state and other dignitaries and the credentials of ambassadors to New Zealand.
is likewise the location of many award presentations and investitures, and where prime ministers and other ministers of the Crown are sworn in, among other ceremonial and constitutional functions.
bit of histooooraaaay:
when auckland was capital from 1840-65, an official residence for the govt-general wasn’ta priority. it was only during the period of nz’s fourth governor, george grey, that an offical property was provided.the first government house was colonel william wakefield’s villa, located where the beehive now stands. wakefield was the agent for the New Zealand Company; he built the house in 1840 but died in 1848. the residence was then used as a hospital after the 1848 marlborough earthquake. the house was a very plain regency styled building with verandahs on a hill overlooking the harbour. there’s a record of the first Government House Ball being held in it (10 February 1849) during George Grey’s first period.
grey was succeed by robert wynyard, then by thomas gore browne but it’s possible that neither of these men ever visited or resided in wellington thus the official status of the wakefield villa is uncertain. when grey became governor general again in 1861 he certainly used the wakefield house as his official wellington residence.
in 1865 the capital was made wellington. the need to provide accomodation for all the various branches of government prompted a more appropriate building rather than the plain one. in 1968 a new house began to be built, in an italianate style, probably because it was the cheaper option as opposed to a neo-Gothic style similar to the parliament buildings.
even though built of wood, the second government house was imposing, distinguished by a tower,it was one of the several mid-century houses influenced by Queen Victoria’s Osbourne House. designed by william henry clayton it was completed in 1871 and had extensive views over the city and harbour and provided a picturesque contrast with the gothic styled parliament building complex. it’s first occupant was sir george ferguson bowen in 1873.
all the succeeding governors resided in the clayton building, from sir james fergusson to lord plunkett from 1904. social climate of the late 19th century required the governor to spend parts in other parts of the country predominantly auckland, although for awhile a third govt house was maintained in christchurch. relatively little furniture and other items were provided by the government - each successive governor had to provide the household with furniture, linen, china etc. from his own pocket. today it is quite different and each new governor only provides personal items. during its 34-year career as Government House the Clayton building was redecorated and added to but it entered the 20th century largely unaltered.
following the fire in the wooden parliament buildings in 1907, the then governor general lord plunket offered the use of government house to house both houses of parliament until a replacement building could be built. in the interem the plunketts resided in palmerston north in a house now called caccia-birch. plunkett had been lobbying for a larger more up-to-date residence to be provided by the government, hopefully more distant from parliament with more private grounds. the parliament building fire nudged the government into commissioning the existing government house to be built.
Current govt house:
The current residence, in Newtown, was designed in an eclectic style in the manner of a half-timbered Tudormansion. As it was intended to evoke a large English country house, the house's rooms were designed in a range of styles—from Elizabethan to Tudor, to Georgian and Regency. Throughout the house are examples of what was considered good taste at the time: marble fireplaces, parquet floors, oak panelling, Mahogany doors, leadlight windows, bronze electric light fixtures and neo-Georgian plasterwork ceilings. Various portraits of successive governors and other significant people are displayed along with a collection of New Zealand art, some of which has been donated by previous governors. The house covers 4,200 m2(45,000 sq ft).
Many of the rooms are set aside for official state occasions—for example, two dining rooms, a ballroom, a conservatory and drawing rooms. Government House is where the governor-general confers with the leader of the New Zealand Government, hosts foreign dignitaries, and performs the functions of New Zealand's head of state, as the representative of the monarch of New Zealand. The residence is also open to the public, running free tours of the state rooms throughout the year.
2008 refurbishment:
Government House closed in October 2008 for a major NZ$44 million conservation and rebuilding project, and was reopened in March 2011.During the refurbishment the Governor General lived at Vogel House in Lower Hutt while in Wellington.
As part of the refurbishment, new carpets were provided for the public reception rooms. These are large artworks in their own right. The Carpets and rugs were designed by several New Zealand artists; Gavin Chilcott, Andrew McLeod, Tim Main and John Bevan Ford. The weaving was done by the carpet manufacturer Dilana, in association with Athfield Architects. The design of the Drawing Room carpet by Gavin Chilcott is derived from the silver fern. Of particular interest is the spectacular kowhaiwhai pattern, composed into a huge single composition 4 metres (13 ft) x without a repeat, was designed by Andrew McLeod and inspired by Theo Schoon's drawings of Māori designs. This pattern was produced in three different colour-ways and appears in several of the Reception Rooms.
