Request from anon: hey could you do a dad!rdj x reader, where he catches her smoking weed? thanks!
A/N: Sorry if this isn’t good. I didn’t really know what to do with it... I hope you enjoy it though anon!
-No picture-
You arrived home after a particularly stressful week. It was your last week of you first year in college, which meant there was nothing but exams. Although those were the easy part of your week. The stress came when your dad was doing Avengers things. It wasn’t the worst it had been, but things got pretty bad from what you’d heard about the mission. Which meant that you had more bodyguards than usual, which stressed you out for those exams more because instead of one guy sitting in the back of the room there was one outside the door, and three other guys in the room with you, which stressed all your classmates out, and well that was just more stress on you.
It wasn’t something you did everyday, but you did have an outlet to help you relax. And since you had the extra guards it was becoming increasingly difficult to partake in said outlet. Normally you wouldn’t think to do it at home. You would sneak out at night, or go to a friends where your guard had to sit in another room, you needed some privacy afterall, or you’d find another way. But you were getting desperate for a way to calm down and you knew you only had one choice.
Once in your room you shut your door on the men that had been stuck following you around to your boring tests. You grabbed the small box you kept hidden in one of your dresser drawers under some clothes and took it into your bathroom.
After locking the door, you turn on the air vent and proceeded to set everything up.
The first drag already had you in it’s grasp. Sure, there was slight discomfort in your lungs, and you knew the risk of lung cancer. But you didn’t care. Weed was your saving grace in stressful times. It worked better than any kind of anti-anxiety you’d tried and it let you be a little more care free.
It was just nice to relax. You sat there smoking alone. Right as you were about to stamp it out your bathroom door was unlocked and opened.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Your father was stood there, eyes wide with shock.
Your eyes widened in surprise, “Dad!” You were scrambling to make it seem like you weren’t just doing what he caught you doing. “You can’t just come in my bathroom like that!” Your face was beet red.
Tony shook his head. He couldn’t believe this was happening. You were just like him, why did you have to be just like him? Tony held his hand up. “Pardon me for being told that the smell of marijuana was drifting from your room. Did you really think you wouldn’t be caught? I don’t care if you want your privacy. I knew exactly what you were doing in here and I’ll enter any room I please when I have a damn good reason to. Get that shit out of here now.”
You wanted to argue back, but you knew that it would only upset him more. So, you scrambled to get everything cleaned up before you were throwing it into a bag and leaving to discard of it outside in a dumpster. You returned upstairs, slowly, as the fear crept in of what your dad was going to say or do.
You found him waiting for you in the living room. He waved you over, knowing you’d continue standing there if he didn’t. You went and sat across from him. You knew your anxiety would be through the roof if you hadn’t just gotten high, because even being high you were freaking out.
“So?” Tony asked, expectantly.
You didn’t answer.
Tony sighed. “Sunshine, I’m not… okay well I’m a little mad, but probably not as mad as you think. So just talk to me about this.”
You couldn’t even look up at him.
“Okay look, I just want to know how you got it… what if it was laced with something… do you even know who the person was you got it from?”
“I got it from a friend it’s fine…” you finally offered, hoping that could be the end of it.
“Can you trust them? Where did they get it from? Some drug dealer off the streets? How did you even get it, your bodyguard slacking? Because if that’s the case-”
“Dad stop, it’s really not a big deal, it’s just weed. You don’t need to fire anyone because I sneak around. You know I wouldn’t even do it if it wasn’t for you and your annoying bodyguards! I’m 19 I don’t need a babysitter in my college classes. Especially 4 of them when we’re taking finals!”
Tony pinched the bridge of his nose. “You know you could have just talked to me about that. You know how Happy gets-”
“Happy?! You mean how you get, right?”
“I never told Happy it had to be 4 guys watching you, Y/N. Yes, I wanted to make sure you were properly protected, but you could have said, dad I just don’t want people in my classroom or maybe just 2 guys instead of 4. I’ll talk to Happy, but that doesn’t mean you should be smoking, especially in our home!”
“What?” You asked, and he knew you were about to challenge him. “Would you rather I do it at someone else's house? Or how about in an alley somewhere? Hey how about the school library, would that be better?”
Your father rubbed his forehead. “I’d prefer you to talk about your problems and not resort to drugs,Y/N.”
“Oh my God, dad, it’s only weed. There are way worse things out there than-“
“I don’t care about the worse things. It’s this right now. Do you even know how dangerous it can be?”
You rolled your eyes. “Oh my God, dad, why is this such a crazy big deal? It isn’t like it’s illegal!”
“It’s a big deal because I don’t want you to be like me!” He all but shouted.
You flinched at his raised voice and looked away from him.
Tony sighed as he looked at you, “I’m sorry for yelling… but I need you to understand.”
“I get it just fine, dad. I can’t make my own decisions because you don't want me to be like you… well I’m sorry you got stuck with someone that is exactly like you.” You left him there, rather shell shocked.
It was a few hours later when your dad finally tried to confront you again. He knocked on your door and waited for a response.
You wanted to ignore him but you knew he would not go away until you answered. So, you told him to come in.
He went and sat beside you on your bed. “Sunshine, I hope you knew that if you really need to smoke as an outlet, it’s fine. But please at least bring it to the lab first so we can make sure it’s alright.”
You stared at him surprised, but you nodded in response.
He kissed your head before bidding you a goodnight.

Dear Peter Parker - 3 - The Letter

Dad!Tony, Mom!Pepper, Brother!Connor

A/N: ARE YOU ALL READY FOR ME TO START CHANGING SOME SHIT? Because you came to the right place! Please let me know what you guys think because I don’t want to fuck the story up too much but I like where I’m going with it right now.
Previous Next
Tumblr media
The rest of the day was pretty terrible for Peter. All he wanted to do was go home, lock himself in his room, and stay there the rest of the year.
Well, his day got a little better when he found out that you had the same lunch as him. Even better you decided to sit with him.
“H-hey Y/N,” He stuttered out, the surprise on his face was evident.
You smiled kindly at him. “Hey, you don’t mind me sitting with you right? None of my friends have this lunch period, and I really don’t want to go sit with the fake cheerleaders.”
“Uh, y-yeah. I-I mean no, no I don’t mind at all.” He wanted to beat himself in the head for his awkwardness.
“Thank you.” You said, pulling your lunch from your bag. “So, how was your summer?”
Peter shrugged. “It was alright,” He lied. You didn’t need to know about how summer for him meant the torture of working part time jobs, nor about his anxiety and depression. Especially not about him trying to commit suicide. “What about you? Do anything exciting?”
You smiled, “It was nice, we went Amsterdam for a couple weeks, that was about it though. Just saw some sights and relaxed. But of course Connor had to ruin it like he does everything.”
“I’m sorry to hear that, but Amsterdam sounds neat. I’ve never been out of the country,” in fact he was jealous, but he wasn’t going to say it like that. He would never have a life of luxury like that. Even if you didn’t like your brother.
“Oh, hey I’m sorry about Connor earlier this morning… He’s such an ass.”
Peter rubbed at the back of his neck, his cheeks tinged red. “Oh, d-don’t be sorry… That was my fault.”
“You’re too kind, Peter,” You offered, reaching across the table and placing a hand on his arm. “But really, I am sorry.”
Even his ears turned red as you touched him. “Th-th-thank you.”
You smiled and went to eating your lunch.
Peter started to read way too much into that small gesture. He already had a crush on you, but just the thought of you possibly liking him back was invading his mind now. And suddenly, he found a small light in his darkness. He found himself a reason to want to keep going.
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
The rest of his day was not good at all compared to his lunch.
Of course his favorite bully Flash found him. That ended in him getting beat up, a bloody nose, making him late to class and ending himself in detention.
But, at least he was allowed to use the computer during detention.
Dear Peter Parker,
This year’s going to be a great year and here’s why… what a joke. This year is the last thing I want to get through. Between the work that I know will be coming. Having to help Aunt May with bills still, which means another part time job. Trying to not piss off both Flash Thompson and Connor Stark, yeah like I’ll manage that. Here’s to another great year of getting the shit kicked out of me for no other reason than that I’m a freak.
I would love to know if anyone would even notice if I wasn’t here. Would anyone care? I’d lighten Aunt May’s struggles of having to be a single parent to a kid that was dumped on her doorstep. I wouldn’t be the school’s freak so they wouldn’t have to waste their time making fun of me. Flash would probably notice just because he wouldn’t have anyone to beat up but it’s not like he’d really care. MJ definitely wouldn’t. Ned maybe.
But, at least there’s Y/N. Maybe she would notice.
God, I know it’s stupid to even think I could have a chance with her… but… I want one. She’s the only thing in my awful life that isn’t terrible. She’s beautiful and kind. I couldn’t believe when she sat with me at lunch today. Granted, I really think it was so she could apologize for her brother. He’s such an asshole. He has the world handed to him having the city’s richest parents. He’s terrible to his sister. I just can’t imagine being like that when you literally don’t have any problems.
If I ever get the chance to be with Y/N, I really don’t know if my anxiety would be enough to stop me from saying something to him. But until then, if it were to even happen probably not, I’ll avoid him as best I can and try to act more normal around Y/N so that maybe she’ll like me too. She’s the only person that remotely makes me feel something other than this terrible pain in my chest.
He hit print and got up to go get the paper. As he made it to the printer he noticed Connor sitting at the table right beside it.
With his hand holding his head up he eyed Peter sideways. “What happened to your arm?” He asked, eyebrow raising.
Shock was all Peter could feel now. He was trying to avoid being noticed by the older boy, but luck was never on his side.
Connor dropped his hand and looked at Peter expectantly. “Well?”
“Oh, uh, I uh I fell… out of a tree,” he lied, sending a glance to the printer which had finished. If he grabbed the paper now Connor might ask about it.
“That sucks,” he commented. “Sit down, Parker.”
Peter visibly gulped but he obeyed. He shot a glance at the printer hoping no one would take it. He sat across from Connor, hoping this wasn’t going to end badly, but it was him so it probably would.
Connor dug through his bag and pulled out a black marker. He reached for Peter’s cast.
“What are you doing?” Peter asked, pulling his arm back.
Connor rolled his eyes. “I’m gonna sign it. Obviously no one else wants to.”
Peter looked at him skeptically before extending his arm.
In big black letters Connor wrote his name before recapping the marker.
“Uh, thanks,” Peter said, looking at it.
Connor nodded. “So, you like my sister, don’t you?”
A blush shot across Peter’s cheeks, neck and ears. “W-W-”
Connor smiled a tight lipped smile at him and shook his head. “Course you do, who doesn’t? Even us miserable people have to have something, right?”
The bell rang, signaling that they could finally leave.
The two stood, Peter quick and Connor slowly.
“You know,” Connor started, making Peter pause in his escape. “Life sucks, but you could make it suck less if you tried harder.”
Peter wanted to comment about how Connor had a great life that he purposely ruined everyday by acting the way he does, but he didn’t.
“Falling out of a tree? You got a lot going for you and you don’t even see it.”
Peter knew then that Connor knew he’d lied. He turned back around and continued out of the room.
Connor gathered his things. He glanced at the printer, Peter’s reason for coming over in the first place. The paper was still there so he grabbed it. He hated himself more as he read over Peter’s letter to himself. Of course, he didn’t blame Peter for accusing him of having no problems. Not even his fucking parents wanted to notice. They just wanted be believe he liked to act out. He may have had the chance for the world to be handed to him, but he wasn’t perfect. It hurt, he hated being this way. He didn’t want to be the family disappointment. He didn’t want to be cursed with the broken light inside him. His real problem was he hated himself for not being able to do anything about it.
He couldn’t even be honest and just tell his family he loved them, that he would kill for them, die for them if it meant they’d be happy. He couldn’t even look Peter in the eyes and tell him he thought he was perfect. That he was jealous that of course he had eyes on his sister. He crumpled the paper up and threw it in the trash. The words burned into his mind as he made his way home. He always contemplated it, and maybe Peter had the right idea, he still wasn’t sure.
Peter on the other hand made it two blocks away from school before he realized he forgot his letter. He ran back, and discovered it gone. He knew it had to be Connor’s doing. When he made it home he prayed that the next morning wouldn’t start with a beating from him for the horrible things he’d said. He hoped Connor wouldn’t show you and ruin any chance he could even dream of.

I’m Your Daughter - Part 2
Dad!TonyxReader
Word Count: 1,205
Request by @missrowle: I’m your daughter more parts. Teams reaction if or when they meet her
Part 1
Tumblr media
“You ready?” Tony asked.
You looked over at him, your nerves were through the roof. It had only been three weeks since you first set foot in the tower and since then your life changed dramatically. You see, today was move in day. After telling your dad that you were planning on getting out of your mother’s house, he offered you one of the extra rooms at the compound. This way you wouldn’t be living in the city all alone.
However, you would have been fine with moving in, if it weren’t for the fact that all of the Avengers were in and out of the place. And it’d be better if you didn’t have to meet the rest of them today.
According to Tony they were all pretty excited to meet you. You would probably feel that way too, if you weren’t about to start living with all of them. It just… seemed weird.
Tony could tell by the look in your eyes, you were far from ready. He could practically feel your anxiety radiating off of you, but then again maybe he was just feeling a little bit of that himself. “If I didn’t think that this was a good idea in the long run, I wouldn’t have suggested it,” He told you. “I promise, things will be alright.”
You nodded. “It’s just… going to be weird… and I don’t want to get in anyone’s way… What if they don’t like me? What if-”
“Sweetie,” Tony said, putting a hand on your shoulder. “I may have only known you for a couple weeks, but I love you and they’re going to love you too. Now, let’s get in there and you can get yourself settled. All your stuff should already be away, so you can just take some time to personalize your room. No one is expecting you to just jump in an start socializing. They know it takes time. After you’re settled I’ll introduce you to everyone, alright?”
His little speech did make you feel better, and it was nice that he felt comfortable enough with you now to call you cute names. You nodded and took a deep breath. “Alright, I’m ready.” You said it, even if you didn’t fully feel that way, it was better to just push head on.
You took your time settling all of you stuff that hadn’t been put away in your new room. It was nice, much bigger than the one you had before. When you were done your dad took you on a tour of the compound. His room wasn’t far from yours, which you were thankful for, it also wasn’t far from the lab. Which both of those things you were thankful for.
The compound was so large, and it wasn’t just the avengers that were there. People actually worked there. Which kind of surprised you, there were quite a bit of people, and they all worked in the place that the avengers pretty much lived most of their off time.
Your first avenger meeting that day was the Black Widow.
“Nat, this is my daughter Y/N,” Your dad introduced, placing a hand on your shoulder, hoping it would comfort you in some way.
She eyed you up and down before offering a sort of half smile. She stuck her hand out.
You politely shook hands with her.
“Well, it’s nice to finally meet you. Tony’s been talking everyone’s ears off about you the past few weeks,” She told you, smirking at your dad.
“Excuse me,” Tony scoffed.
You blushed lightly and looked over at him. You didn’t think that would be a thing he would do, but you supposed you didn’t exactly know him well enough to be the judge.
Nat rolled her eyes. “If you need anything, I’m two doors down from your room. If I’m not there just ask F.R.I.D.A.Y. where you can find me if you need anything.”
You smiled softly at her, “Thank you.”
She nodded before heading off.
“See?” Tony asked. “Not so bad, right?”
“That was so scary,” You told him, following after him as he started to a new location.
He let out a soft chuckle.
Your next run in were Captain America and Falcon, who were in the gym.
“Is that Tony’s daughter I see?” Sam questioned, pausing in his work out.
Steve looked over towards the entrance of the gym as you and Tony entered and made your ways towards them.
“Guys, this is Y/N, Y/N Steve and Sam,” Your dad introduced, much like he had with Nat.
“It’s nice to meet you,” Steve offered.
“You too,” you replied, a somewhat shy tone taking over. He was a lot more handsome in person than you thought was possible.
“Wow, Tony,” Sam started. “She looks nothing like you. You got lucky,” he directed the last part to you.
Your dad rolled his eyes. “On that note. We’ll be going, try not to torture Y/N too much with your awful jokes all the time, Sam.” He guided you back out of the gym.
You let out a soft chuckle. “They seem nice,” you stated.
Tony shook his head. “They’re good people.”
Your next stop was the living room, where almost the rest of the gang was. Clint cracked some joke, and you really hit it off with Wanda. Vision was a little strange, but you liked him. Bruce offered a nice hello and a glad to see you again. Thor was excited to meet you, glad that you would now be apart of the group. And Rhodey, well he refused to let you call him anything but ‘Uncle Rhodey’, which you accepted because he was your dad’s best friend after all.
You definitely felt welcomed once you met everyone. They all made you feel comfortable, which you were glad about.
“Hey, where’s Pete?” Tony asked once everyone had settled down a bit.
“Said he had something to work on at home,” Wanda answered. “But he’d be back tonight.”
“Who is Pete?” You asked.
“Peter’s Spider-Man,” Tony informed you.
You nodded.
“You’ll love him,” Clint started. “He’s a great kid. Super smart too.”
“He’s your age, thought you might enjoy having someone around your own age.” Tony offered. “Think the kid could use some friends himself besides us.”
“Wait,” You started, surprised. “Spider-Man is the same age as me?”
Tony nodded. “Yeah, he’s a pretty great kid.”
You nodded slowly, you never imagined that any super hero could be so young, but you supposed that there was a reason he was.
None of them were wrong, you really did hit it off with Peter once the two of you met. It was like you’d been best friends for years. You were certainly glad you fit so well with him, it made adjusting to your new life easier.
Your dad was definitely happy you were fitting in with everyone though. He’d been so afraid you would hate it at the compound. He guessed fate was on his side. Because you were glad to be there with him, and he was glad that you were willing to be there with him. You really brought something to the makeshift family.

Roasted
Dad!TonyxReader
NOT Peter ParkerxReader (I didn’t feel it was necessary)
Word Count: 629
SO When I asked for requests I got two that could work together. I hope you guys don’t mind me combining them. They were both from anon’s: The reader being Tony’s kid, and all the avengers thinking they are super sweet, until one day they sass/roast the avengers. And tony is like I told you guys… AND…  Would you write an image about Tony’s kid hardcore interrogating all the avengers. Peter does that stuff really come out of you. Captain are you really old. Wanda why are you crushing on an android. You can take it how ever you want to. I’m sorry I kinda changed the second one I realized after writing… if you want a rewrite alone I can do that.
A/N: I’m sorry it’s short, and for future stories they might also be short because I don’t know if I have the ability right now to write my normal amount so I do what I can. Sorry if this is shit.
Tumblr media
You absolutely prided yourself on your ability to at least act like you had respect for people. That you could be as sweet as possible to anyone, not matter what your mood was or if they’d wronged you.
The amount of compliments your dad had received about you being a million times nicer than he is was insurmountable.
However, your dad was the only one to know your secret. You hated just about everyone and you were not so kind behind closed doors or in your head.
You were currently stuck in an Avengers meeting, and everyone was beyond on your last nerve. Why? Because you were here to help with new tech for them. And everyone was having problems with it. The only reason you were even here was because your dad was running very late and had asked the favor.
Someone was really going to die today. Whether it be by your hands or from someone incorrectly using their new tech, you weren’t sure. But you were leaning towards it being by you.
After what felt like the 30th time someone called your name you very calmly put down what was in your hands, your smile turning blank. The room eerily turned quiet.
“Y/N, are you alright?” Steve asked, worry creasing his brow.
“Cap, why do you like to pretend you don’t understand this stuff?” You found yourself asking.
Everyone was surprised, he went to answer but you pressed on
“And Peter, I swear your webs come out of you, I don’t believe you actually made that awful stuff. Also, it’s really weird that you’re fucking a robot. You should probably think about your life choices. And speaking about life choices, Bruce you should really try some anger management classes Mr. always angry.”
You knew you were being cruel but you were beyond irritated and you just wanted to leave, but you started this now, you had to finish.
“Nat, you should really stop acting like you’re best friends with people when you keep way too many secrets. Vis, I hate when you speak because it reminds me that I lost one of my best friends and your voice is literally his. Sam, stop being a little puppy following Steve’s every command, it’s not cute anymore.”
No one even knew what they could say to get you to stop. You looked so mad, they couldn’t even figure out what brought this on.
You went to continue on the last few members, but your dad finally walked in.
“What’s going on guys?” Tony asked, confusion on his face based on his teammates faces.
None of them answered him, but you did.
“I’m so sick of these guys!” You stated. “Like, I love you guys, but holy shit use your brains!” You stormed out of the room past your dad.
His gaze followed you in surprise, but then again he knew this would happen at some point. “Well, I guess I can finally say it. I told you she wasn’t as sweet as she let on.”
“You weren’t kidding,” Nat answered.
Tony shrugged and went to join them. “Sorry if she got out of hand. Haven’t seen her go off on anyone like that in a while.”
“She’s done that before?” Steve asked.
“Yeah, quite a few times. She really knows how to give sass. I think she got it from her mom.”
Most of the group rolled their eyes.
“Hopefully, it won’t happen again. I won’t leave her alone with you guys anytime soon.” Tony told them. “Now, what was going on before that?”
The team proceeded to go over their new tech with Tony. All of them taking note to be weary of you from now on. No one wanted to be roasted by you again.

Secret Admirer
Peter ParkerxReader
Dad!Tony
Word Count: 3,306
Request from anon: OMG dad!tony freaking out that his not so little girl having a secret admirer
A/N: I may have slightly deviated. So, sorry anon if you don’t like!
Other Valentine’s Stories:
Not So Lonely Valentine’s, Dadentines Day, Steve’s Valentine’s Mission
Tumblr media
You were working in the lab with your dad in the late afternoon. It was cold as anything out, New York winter’s were the devil in late January. You were glad you didn’t have to go out there again once you got back from your classes for the day.
“It’s freezing out there,” Peter said as he entered the lab.
You smiled spotting him. “Hey, Peter.”
He smiled back and made his way over to you. He looked over at your dad. He seemed distracted enough, so he pulled a small bouquet of flowers from behind his back and offered them to you.
“What do you think you’re doing Underoos?” Your dad asked, not even removing his gaze from his work.
Peter rolled his eyes. “I was about to say that Judy at the front desk asked me to bring them up. Someone left them for Y/N.”
You took them with an even happier smile and smelled them. “They’re beautiful,” you said. “Thank you,” you told Peter, then added. “For bringing them up.”
He smiled a charming smile and winked at you.
“Who would be sending you flowers?” Your dad asked, moving over to you to try and see if someone left a card on them.
You shrugged. “No clue, dad.”
“Maybe Y/N has a secret admirer.” Peter suggested as he shrugged off his coat and started to get to work.
Tony frowned at Peter’s comment. “Oh no. Absolutely not.”
You rolled your eyes. “Come on, dad. It’s just some flowers. Completely innocent.”
Tony laughed. “Flowers aren’t innocent. They a device guys use to cover a girls eyes to get in bed with her. And you’re certainly not old enough for that let alone having some random person leaving you gifts.”
Peter and you exchanged a look. Your dad was nuts sometimes. Also super over protective.
“Mr. Stark I think it was just someone trying to brighten up Y/N’s day since it’s been so cold and gross out.” Peter offered, it was true that was his intention.
Tony shook his head. “If that’s what you want to believe. But my little girls not going to be swindled into something like a secret admirer.”
You rolled your eyes. Of course that’s how your dad saw it. So, you kept quiet trying to end the conversation. Luckily it worked.
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
“He’s gonna find out,” Peter said, as the two of you got on the bus. It was the following tuesday and you and Peter were lucky enough that you were both done classes at the same time so you could go back to the tower together. He had just given you an adorable stuffed (your favorite animal).
You rolled your eyes. “He’s not going to find out until I tell him, Mr. secret admirer.”
“What was I supposed to do? He told me he was going to be out of town!” Peter shot back at you.
You bumped his shoulder with your own. “I was afraid he was going to see right through you.”
“Hey, I might hate lying but I’m not actually bad at it.” He countered, wrapping his arm around your shoulders. “I can’t believe he’s still against you dating let alone having a secret admirer. I thought he was gonna throw out those flowers.”
“Well I’m glad he didn’t, but really as sweet as it is that you do this Peter, maybe right now isn’t the time to be doing it…”
“Look, I like doing this for you. I’m not gonna stop. So either tell him, or keep going with the secret admirer thing.”
You looked at him skeptically. “You’re really fine with that? With pretending it’s not you and going under my dad’s nose like that? I don’t think you can handle it, you’re gonna get caught and then we’re both screwed.”
Peter smirked as he stood so you could both get off the bus. However he blocked you in as he bent to be face to face with you. “I think that sounds like a challenge.”
You laughed lightly and shoved his shoulder. You stood and Peter gave you his hand as the two of you got off into the cold. “If you’re up for it,” You finally told him.
“This is either going to go fine or super bad.” Peter stated.
“Oh,” You started. “Definitely.”
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
“Why are you carrying a stuffed toy around?” Tony asked as he spotted you and Peter stepping off the elevator from his spot in the kitchen.
“Must be from that same admirer,” You lied.
Tony rolled his eyes. “You know they shouldn’t be clearing that stuff to come up here. What if the scanners aren’t picking everything up off of this stuff? It could be dangerous.”
“Dad, you built those scanners and they said it was fine,” You lied again. Of course it was fine, it came from Peter, they didn’t even need to check the thing, but you figured you’d keep up with the charade if that’s what Peter wanted. You certainly weren’t ready to tell your dad the truth.
“I’m going to go double check that. Maybe let the ladies at the desk they shouldn’t be accepting these things while I’m at it.” Tony said, making him way towards you.
“Come on, Mr. Stark, it’s not really a big deal. It’s not like she’s seeing whoever’s doing this,” Peter said.
You almost elbowed him, but refrained. He was totally trying to get caught.
“First off, that’s not funny. Second, don’t even think about falling for something like this, Y/N. If whoever this was really liked you they wouldn’t hide behind a secret like this. I refuse to let you fall for something like this. If anyone tries anything, you tell me and I’ll handle it.” Your dad scolded.
God, you wished he wasn’t like this. You were way past old enough to date someone. Even though unknown to your father you did know who these things were coming from, and you were dating them, and you fell even harder for Peter with every sweet thing he did for you. Besides the point.
You raised your hands in defense. “Dad, I think I’m old enough to make these kinds of decisions on my own.”
“Oh, no.” Tony argued. “I don’t think so.”
His words stung, but you didn’t let it show. “I’ll be in the lab.” You said, before going off downstairs.
“What was that about?” Tony asked Peter.
Peter didn’t want to speak for you, but he felt bad your dad was being this way. “Sir, I think she might feel a little…,” He paused searching for a word that wouldn’t offend Tony. “Like you’re babying her.”
“I’m not babying her!” Tony shot back. “I don’t trust someone coming into our home and giving her gifts when she doesn’t even know them!”
Peter sighed. “Then how come when she said she can make decisions about dating, you told her she’s not old enough?”
“That’s not what I said,” he countered, trying to cover his mistake.
Peter frowned at him. “It kind of is, sir.” He didn’t have the heart for this, he felt bad enough, but he wanted Tony to try and understand you better. He couldn’t stand when you were upset, especially over your dad. He pat Tony’s shoulder as he passed him to go down to the lab. He made sure to hug you extra tight and let you know if you wanted to talk about it, he was here for you.

Tony was furious.
He had just returned from back to back meetings out of state, only to find a note stuck to the fridge that read ‘Y/N, still on for our date friday night?’.
“F.R.I.D.A.Y.!” Tony called.
“Yes, sir?” The a.i. answered.
“Who’s been in the kitchen today?” He asked.
“All members of the team with the exception of Thor with the addition of Miss Potts.” She informed him.
Tony was so mad he didn’t even think to ask F.R.I.D.A.Y. who had put the note there. He snatched it off the fridge and made his way to your room. He knocked loudly.
You jumped, being startled by banging on your door. You didn’t waste a second in going over and opening the door.
“What’s this?” Your dad asked, holding the note in your face.
You pulled back slightly in order to read it. You shoved down the blush that threatened to peak on your face. “Where was that?” You asked, taking it from him.
He took it back, not wanting you to have it. “The fridge. Who put it there?”
You shrugged. “Looks like someone’s messing with you now, dad. I haven’t been in the kitchen all day.” You figured Peter put it there this morning after you left for class, you had grabbed lunch with a friend so you didn’t go into the kitchen when you got back like you normally would have. He probably thought your dad would be gone later than he was.
“Oh really now?” He asked, even more upset that someone was going to play games like this. If someone on the team wanted to play games with him, they were not going to use you like this. He turned on his heel and started away from you. “You’re not going anywhere friday night,” He had to be sure someone wasn’t stalking you after all.
“I-I have plans,” You started, poking your head out the door.
Tony stopped and turned back to face you. “Oh do you now? You don’t seriously think that I’m letting you go out with some creep that does stuff like this, do you?”
“I’m just hanging out with Peter.” You shot back at him, crossing your arms over your chest. “Can you relax, this is getting out of hand.”
“No, I’m not going to relax about this Y/N. This isn’t happening.”
You rolled your eyes, you weren’t going to keep arguing about this. Because you knew you would until you were both blue in the face.
“I’m going to go find out who left this. It was someone on the team and whoever did it’s going to get an earful. If you want to hang out with Peter so badly, you’ll do it here.” Tony said, going to move on his way again.
You calmly entered your room, closed your door, and took a deep breath in attempts to calm your nerves. You prayed that whatever your dad decided to do that no one would tell him the truth. You weren’t ready for that fight yet.

“Tony, you’re being ridiculous,” Steve stated, once every member of the team, and Pepper, were seated in the meeting room.
“No, I’m not. Now I know it was one of you, so someone fess up and take the fall like you know you should. No one should be playing games like this, especially with my kid.” Tony stated.
Peter knew better than to speak up. If he was going to get caught he was not going to have this argument in front of the whole team with Tony. Everyone in the room knew it was Peter. He knew no one would rat him out. So, they were all fine with Tony wasting their time. They all agreed Tony was way too overprotective of you when it came to you having any type of relationship. So, they were all content on roasting him about it, while he tried to slueth out who it was doing this.
“It was just a joke, Tone,” Rhody said. “It’s not like she takes it seriously, why should you?”
“I second that,” Nat added. “She’s not a child, she deserves to be able to make her own choices.”
“Nat’s right,” Clint cut in. “She’s in the prime of her life and you’re trying to keep her from dating.”
“Was this just a set up so you could all lecture me about my parenting?” Tony asked.
“No,” a few of them answered.
“I put it there,” Steve lied. “I wanted to get under your skin.”
Tony glared at him. “Well Cap, you did a fantastic job.”
Peter was thankful to Steve for lying for them. However, he felt terrible about the lecture he knew Tony was going to try and give him for it.
Steve rolled his eyes. “Everyone you can go.”
The members of the team, and Pepper, stood and left. With the exception of Steve and Tony. Steve sent Peter a look before he left, and Peter knew he’d be in debt to the Cap for quite some time.
Peter quickly made his way to your room. He needed to fill you in on what happened.

After that little mishap Peter laid off for a few days, not wanting Mr. Stark to really start looking into things. So, when Valentine’s Day finally came he was glad when you told him your dad and Pepper were going out. That meant the two of you were free to do as you pleased.
So, once you had given Peter the word that your dad and Pepper were gone, he arrived. You were dressed cute and waiting in the living room when he entered the penthouse.
You smiled at him, happy that you were getting to do this and for once not be stressing out about your dad.
Peter met you halfway and offered you a bouquet of flowers. He kissed your cheek. “You look beautiful, like always.”
You let out a soft chuckle and took the flowers. You quickly brought them back to your room and once you returned the two of you left for your date.
Suffice to say your date with Peter was special and you would hold it dear to your heart.
And everything was going great, until you were on your way back to the tower and your phone started to ring.
Your stomach knotted. You knew this would be your final straw. It was time your dad let this go and as nice as it was to have him thinking you only had a secret admirer, you knew soon enough this would start affecting your relationship. So, you decided that once you were both settled back home you would calmly talk to him. You tried to not let that plan go out the window as you offered Peter an apologetic look and answered your phone.
“Where are you?” Your dad immediately asked.
“Y/N, I’m sorry, I tried to stop him,” Pepper called in the background. You could tell she was pissed with him, which only upset you more because she deserved to have a nice holiday too.
“I’m hanging out with Peter,” You told him. It wasn’t a lie at least.
“Oh really?” Tony asked. “Those flowers from him?”
Your eyes widened. “Are you really snooping through my room now, dad?”
“I knocked, you didn’t answer. I wanted to make sure you were okay. Low and behold there’s no you and the same type of flowers your admirer left last time. So, call me skeptical.”
“Peter and I will be there in 3 minutes. You and I need to talk.” You said, before hanging up on him.
“Are you okay?” Peter asked, releasing your hand in favor of wrapping his arm around your shoulders.
“I’m telling him when we get back, enough is enough.” You told him.
Peter sighed and brought you just a bit closer. “Well, it was nice while it lasted.”
You nodded in agreement.
When you were finally upstairs you found your dad impatiently waiting on the couch.
“Thanks Peter. I’ll call you later,” You said quietly.
“Oh no, Peter you stay,” Tony said.
“Dad this is between you and me.” You told him, not even casting a glance his way. “Get out of here before he forces you to stay,” You said to Peter.
“You sure,” Peter asked as your dad began to argue.
You nodded.
“Sorry Mr. Stark, but Y/N’s right, you and I can talk later. I told Aunt May I’d be home soon.” Peter hoped you’d be okay without him. He left without any more argument.
You took a deep breath, and went to sit on the other couch. Your dad went to speak but you stopped him. “I’m going to talk to you like the mature young adult that I am, and I ask you to please speak to me as so. Or we won’t have this conversation and you can be upset all you want.”
Tony went to argue but once again you stopped him.
“There was no secret admirer. It’s been Peter.”
“Absolutely not,” Your dad finally cut in.
“You don’t want me to date because in your eyes no one is safe or good enough. And that’s fine for you to think that. You’re my dad, you want what’s best for me. However, what I don’t understand is why, as an adult in college, you refuse to accept the fact that I am more than old enough to start dating.” You were trying to stay calm, but your voice started wavering at the end. You hadn’t realized how upsetting this was until you were finally voicing this to him. You didn’t want to cry, but you could feel the stinging in your eyes begin from your frustration.
“Because, no one is ever going to be good enough for you. I don’t want you getting hurt when it can be avoided. There’s no reason you need to be dating. Worry about school, then we can come back to this after that.” Tony argued.
You rubbed your forehead in annoyance. “Dad, I’m dating Peter and I don’t care what you want to think. You and I both know how amazing he is. I’m sorry, but if you don’t like it, there’s nothing I’m willing to do to accommodate you.”
Tony was even more taken aback now. Not only were you actually with Peter, but the two of you had been keeping it from him. Lying to him. “And you think that lying to me about this was a good idea to get me to be okay with this?”
“No!” You countered, tears beginning to fall. “I thought it was stupid. But I wasn’t ready to talk to you about this, because I shouldn’t have to. I think I’m old enough to have a meaningful relationship with someone that isn’t just my dad!”
He knew you were right, it was finally hitting him. It took you crying for him to finally admit it to himself. Those tears weren’t the child’s tears he knew so long ago. They were filled with so much more than just not getting your way. And since you were being honest with him, he knew he had to be with you. “I-I’m just, not ready,” He admitted quietly.
You were surprised for sure.
“I don’t want to lose you. You dating means-”
“All it means dad, is I have another person that will love me and take care of me. Don’t you want that? Don’t you want me to have someone, like Pepper, that’s here to love and take care of me?”
He had never really thought of it that way. But he did agree, so he nodded. “You’re my little girl, and I know you’re not little anymore, but it’s so hard to let go.”
You sighed and moved over to sit next to him. “I love you, I’m not going anywhere, and Peter’s not going to do anything to change that.”
Tony nodded. “I’m sorry, sweetheart.”
You cuddled up into his side as you kicked your heels off. “I forgive you, dad. Just one more thing?”
“What’s that?” He asked.
“Please don’t be mad at Peter.”
“I can’t make any promises that I’m not going to at least pretend to be mad.”
You sighed, “Fair enough.”
