So, I heard your asks were open, and wanted to drop in for one request myself - this one's for Soldier Boy.

In the same BMD background, what if there had been a mishap in one of the cases and the Reader happens to lose her memories in temporary amnesia. Ben finds out, and is her emergency contact. He takes her home, takes care of her, tries to jog her memory. And just when he's about to lose hope that she'll never remember him again, she does - and he expresses his relief?

If it's not too much trouble, I would also love if it were from his POV.

So I know you requested this several months ago, and we talked about it privately. The second I saw this request I was hooked. However, I knew that it had to be more than a one-shot, and it was going to take some research to do this prompt justice.

I reached out to my friend @deans-spinster-witch with a few medical questions, and she gave me some great info and guidance on my research. Now I'm happy to announce that this story will be a Break Me Down mini series, which I'll release after Calculated Risks.

So likely in beginning of May.

This will be slightly different from the original prompt, but will have many of those elements you requested. And we'll be going back in time! This one will be set shortly after Love Actually.

(Also, I'm by no means a graphic designer, so perhaps I got a little too bold with Canva on this one. 🤣)

2024 !

another year passes, and I’m still, only obsessed with Dean, awesome 😃👍🏻

I started off writing silly stories for school and for myself since I was a kid, and I always got praise from teachers and my family, but I never thought I could do actually anything or that anyone would like what I write

turns out I was wrong ! which is great, lol. writing is everything to me, as are the fictional characters I write about. (damn, I know I write Dean the most, but I have daydreams, and WIPs of other characters 😭)

there are so many writers who have inspired me, so many blogs that have made me laugh, and so many readers that have kept me motivated to continue writing. I’m so grateful.

I was 11 when I started writing for supernatural and doctor who (to myself), never brave enough to put myself out there. [even though my stories were a bunch of ridiculous nonsense half of the time]

I’m 21, which doesn’t feel any different from my previous ages, lmao, I’m still so… raw and unstable, not gonna lie. But I’m happy? Somehow. I feel ancient, and tired, and kind. It’s the strangest thing. And writing has really helped me out in a million meaningful ways, and so has supernatural (up until 15.20), but anyway… I really truly appreciate all of you, even if we’re not mutuals, even if we never talk

Rereading the TMI books.

Alec and Jace suck as a parabati pair. Their parabati bond only seems to actually be active when it's relevant for the plot, or for angst. Alec didn't even care when Jace literally died. Jace is constantly saying insensative things about Alec.

This is why your Jalec fics, or even your non-Jalec fics with either of them at the center, are so refreshing to read.

Yeeeah, that's a huge ass problem called "amatonormativity"! :D

Because the author can't possibly fathom any bond being deeper than the Main Romances. So Alec and Jace are deeply devoted soul-bonded best friends. But like. It's not actually that deep because obviously Alec/Mags and Jace/Clary need to be valued higher because they are romantic relationships. Without soulbonds.

But romance is valued higher than any form of platonic love, even in a world literally created with a built-in non-romantic soulbond existing, because the author still suffers from amatonormative thinking.

I'm happy to hear that I'm doing a good job on it though! <3

Sorry, I'm a little emotional right now and am about to be effusive and thankful for a bit...

Since we're getting closer to 2024, I've been reflecting. I think I've probably written about 200,000+ words in the past year alone.

It's more than I've had the creative energy to produce in a long time, and that includes the two and a half years in grad school. (Though to be fair, one of those years was 2020 lol.)

But I genuinely don't think I would have written half as much if not for the wonderful support and feedback I've gotten on Tumblr and Ao3.

To all the amazing people I've been able to "meet" and interact with on here (shoutouts below), your kindness and encouragements have helped me — whether you knew it or not — through stress and grief and moments of apathy, and times where I didn't feel passionate about my craft.

I've also had my original book set aside for a while because I literally didn't have the mental strength to be creative. Jumping into Tumblr has revived that passion for me.

I think it's also made me a better writer (practice makes progress, after all). And for sure, it's made me richer in friends. 💕💕

I was being a handler at a con most of the day on Saturday (in some, tbh, terrible con conditions). Every once in a while, I'd check my phone and see a new set of notifs from Queen because they had finished reading another chapter of TMSA. I cannot tell you how much this warmed my already over-heated-from-the-lack-of-AC heart.
