Deltarune Text Project Update #3

After far too long, here’s another update to the Deltarune Text Project - 99% Complete edition!

To Recap:

- There is actually several pieces of dialogue that I have tried to get, but otherwise cannot get anymore because I don’t know the conditions, or some sort of internal data prevents me from getting it again:    - Kris’s name on 1st save file: If I remember right, this has to do with getting completion data on Chapter 1, so since I’ve finished Chapter 1 several times by now, I can no longer get this.    - Green File Select screen in Chapter 1: Essentially the same as the above.    - The last Weird Route Save Point dialogue won’t show up again, presumably because it’s already been completed once before.

There is also several pieces of battle dialogue that I’m not sure can actually be gotten, or I otherwise don’t know how to trigger them in-game:

- Rudinn:    - Rudinn is alright with not fighting. [Spare conditions met]

- Hathy:    - Hathy's beat slows. [Tired]    - Hathy is skipping beats. [Spare conditions met]

- Jigsawry:    - Jigsawry looks happy about its life. [Spare conditions met]

- Ponman:    - Ponman is sleeping soundly. [Sleepy]

- K. Round:    - K.Round looks weak. [Tired]    - K.Round's shuffle becomes lethargic. [Low HP]

- Rabbick:    - You and Ralsei warned Rabbick about Susie. The enemy went on guard... [Warned]    - Rabbick is now nice and clean. [Spare conditions met]

- Clover:    - Clover seems to be getting along with herselves. [Spare conditions met]

- Lancer 2:    - Huh? What was that? [After Susie blocks Lancer's ears from "The Final Blow of Kindness"]

(By the way, if you’re [rightfully] wondering why this took so long, it’s a couple of things: one is that both chapters put together are surprisingly long, two is that I don’t have useful tools like an in-game script, save file editing, and room/event numbers like for Undertale, three is that so far I’m going at this completely alone instead of having a group effort, and four is that at one point I kinda just got burnt out and needed a temporary break after so many replays lol)

(By the way #2: For SOME reason, updating the Chapter 2 folder is claiming there’s “upload problems” with 9 out of the total 10593 files and I have zero idea which files those are, so if someone manages to find a spot where some images are clearly missing, please let me know!)

I don't think Capsei was made in retaliation for Kralsei, because afaik the meme monarch just really likes the music trio, and they don't outright hate Kralsei, just "I don't see myself liking this ship," which is valid. (I might be wrong cause I stopped following them months ago and they could have said something else lol.)

Other than that, I think Capsei is really cute imo. It shows meme monarch's passion for the music trio, and it's the only other Ralsei x Darkner ship that I know of. The first being Ralsei x Clover, which is equally as cute. :3

In my version, they were created as adults already!

I was discussing this with some friends the other day too but like, aside from Lancer and King, I don't think we've seen any other children darkners or "parents" so to speak?? (As in biological parents, so I'm also not counting Queen and Rouxls here hahaha)

We only have two chapters so far but I thought it was interesting...

We have Ralsei as a teen, and also Sweet Capn' Cakes and Clover who some folks also interpret as teens, but I don't think their ages were ever confirmed??

idk, I could be missing someone, but I haven't seen that many people bring up the lack of children :O

Back to Swatch and Spamton though, my Swatch was a prototype Swatchling, so they look a bit smaller than regular swatchlings

And Addisons are I guess manufactured?? Think Steven Universe Pearls which I'm 90% sure was the inspiration for them They're just built all after the same base model, Spamton just happens to have been born defective, so he's smaller

But they weren't children ;v; Maybe they'd be a bit new to the world and need some time to adapt, but they spawn as adults x)

Suselle - 10/10 precious gorls, love their development so far and excited to see there it goes in later chapters :'>

Seavil - not into it personally, but they do have shared history so I can see why people ship it. not bad but not for me!

Capsei - ...this exists???? I've never ever seen it ghsdfjh my only thought about it is that I've never once considered the SCC's ages until now and I sure hope Cap'n isn't an adult

while I'm at it I'll add a few more that come to mind:

Kru/sie - I. get why it's a thing and basing it solely on the actual game content there's nothing wrong with it! but some of its shippers are so uncomfortably weird about it between misgendering Kris, sexualising Susie and warping Noelle into a completely out-of-character yandere that I cannot stand anything involving the ship anymore. people who are normal about it are fine, I would just rather not see it at all @_@

Kri/selle - look I get why this exists as well but when a random NPC goes "you two look like you're dating" and one of those two characters awkwardly replies "no you've got it wrong", in my mind the ship has already sunk

Kra/lsei - I don't think I'd ship it even if we had the answer for Ralsei's connection to Asriel but as long as that remains a mystery I am staying Far Away

anything involving Spamton - why. genuinely why I do not understand. you cannot convince me this scary little man has romance on his mind

I saw Ralsei x Clover art once or twice based on how two of Clover's heads talk about liking fluffy boys, but Clover doesn't seem like she'll be important in future chapters so. welp 💔

I forgot that I should've posted the rules and characters on the announcement post. So it would be posted here. Anyways, I will start with the rules.

Rules

No NSFW Questions.

No asking characters about characters they don't know yet.

Try to keep the questions tied to Deltarune and Digimon. Asking other fandom questions have to be portrayed as it's a game, book, movie, or TV show to them.

Only ask general digimon questions. Not like anything tied to a specific human character in Digimon or a specific rendition of a Digimon.

Avoid mentioning things tied to other AUs and Undertale. None of the characters would be allowed to answer questions about those because they don't exist in this.

Use Kemonogami when referring to Digimon in questions for Susie, Kris, Ralsei, and those of the Card Dark World. You may use the word Digimon in questions for Noelle, Berdly, and those from Cyber World. As only those in the Cyber World actually call Digimon as Digimon.

As long as you keep these things in mind while writing your question, the characters are willing to answer anything.
