Your bag hit the floor of Brian’s room sitting next to his own one as the two of you slipped off your shoes. Brian fussed with the sheets on his bed attempting to flatten them a little before sitting on it looking up at you, “you can sit y’know” he said awkwardly shuffling along to leave you space. You nodded gently taking a seat on his bed alongside him. Brian’s eyes flickered across the room looking out for…something. You weren’t sure what.

“Sorry, mind the mess I know it’s a state in here right now” he laughed awkwardly. You looked around confusion. “What mess?” You laugh gently. Brian looked towards you before pointing to a small basket of clothes on the floor, you laugh at him playfully hitting his arm “oh Brian that’s not mess! Just an undone chore” you giggle out. His face flushes as you laugh.

The night went on and you found yourself tangled up in Brian’s arms head resting on his chest listening to his heartbeat as you lay there. “Are you comfortable?” He asked every now and then just making sure he’s not holding you to tight. You laughed replying with a “Yes” every time. “I love you Brian” you mumble tiredly. His heartbeat sped up, cute. “I love you too” he whispered

im so glad swordhaven update has npcs mentioning dreadhaven. before it was just prior knowledge from df robina, aqw drakath telling hero his backstory before he nestle crunches them in chaos saga finale, and seppy’s past the saga. it was like everyone (except drakath) collectively decided to move forward and avoid opening old wounds even though what happened needs to be remembered to avoid a repeat. until the update i headcanoned that they wouldnt mention dethrix’s rule to minimize the impact he made on them.

i would think about my ocs’ pasts and realize how much happens in less than a century. dethrix ruled for 30 years and gets overthrown, and drakath was only 10. by the time aqw main story starts, most characters we know save for a few are adults and it’s like years after df’s orb saga/book 1. by the time chaos saga starts, everyone who is an older adult had grown up in dethrix’s rule and the elders would have to have known a time before he took over and the humans vs monsters conflict. the younger adults and children didn’t grow up under dethrix’s rule but their parents did. but until chaos saga started, both generations also had the good vs evil conflict to deal with. they went from living under dethrix’s rule to trying not to die at seppy’s hands to dealing with chaos to queen of monsters to malgor, and that’s without the sidestories.

and irl, theres a lot of changes like rights made that seem like it was a long time ago since they were made but it really isn’t.

the pizza place needs a health inspector. badly. and that requires swordhaven to have a food health and safety administration
