what color pallet do you use for Swap Grillby

had to throw this together on the spot since I don't keep most of my palettes organised, but here's the colours I use for him!

I realise the fire colours aren't much help as is, so here's a very rushed guide on how I use those colours (using paint tool SAI btw):

(since I draw his fire lineless, the dark orange line colour is only used for his eyebrows)

a couple details not shown here:

I usually put a faint orange overlay on him to make everything slightly warmer, but the colours I use for those aren't consistent between art pieces

I forgot to include shading his glasses but I use the same flat colour on a luminosity layer to give them a little shine ✨

there aren't any highlight colours in the palette bc these days I tend to just use a very low opacity luminosity layer rather than pick out individual lighter colours for highlights

anyway hope this helps at all :]

So, in Water Under the Bridge (the underswap take by Moonster) Goner Kid is swapped with Ralsei. Is that also the case in your Underswap take?

ooh I'm not familiar with that take but that's a cool swap :0

it's not one I'm using though; an idea I had pretty recently (haven't properly thought it through yet, it is just an idea right now) is that since I leave Gaster unswapped (because there's so little character to work with while Deltarune is incomplete, so until then I'm avoiding committing to any designs or headcanons for him) and most of the fun value events are in some way connected to Gaster, it'd probably make more sense to leave those unswapped too? aside from minor differences like referring to Undyne as the next Royal Scientist instead of Alphys, of course

in this case Goner Kid would remain unchanged, which I like more than making a Goner version of Asriel just for the sake of it when I don't have any inspiration to do so. plus if Temmie had access to some of those events during their resets, the thought of them potentially having encountered Goner Kid is fun :] (for me. incredibly not fun for them)

generally calm and low energy, but not outright lazy

loves holiday music, although it tends to lull them to sleep

also likes eating flowers, much to Asgore's initial horror. but he started growing edible flowers just for them to eat safely :>

their nose glows when booped, a trait inherited from Rudy

considering their dads' appearances, probably grows up to have a majestic beard and terrifying antlers

unfortunately for Tragic Dad Reasons, they do not have a main UT universe counterpart and only exist in Underswap 💔

I swear that pack had something against my toriel sim for the longest time #bc the pack introduced a bunch of new pie recipes and a pie competition every few weeks. so Obviously toriel needed to win that #except the game absolutely refused to let her win for real life months on end #I have a screenshot where all 3 pies entered one time were the same type. toriel's was excellent quality vs 2 townies' normal quality pies #she still lost to them. and then when she finally Did win first place several tries later it happened in the dumbest way possible #she entered a pie. waited for hours until the competition ended. no result appeared so I gave up and sent her home #two in-game weeks pass. frisk is hanging out at their high school's football event. a notification pops up as the event ends #the result from the pie competition finally appears. during the wrong event and two entire weeks late. and then my game crashed #luckily everything turned out the same way and she still got the first place result but god. it was So Much #anyway this kind of nonsense is why I love the sims gjhdsfjgh

Out of Summer and Autumn, which twin was born first (if either)? And do they constantly bring it up?

oh both of them they wish they were the older twin and had an immediate "I'm older so I win" card to hold over the other, but unfortunately for them they were magically born in the exact same moment :']

however Autumn does get to constantly bring up being taller than Summer, who gets to constantly kick him in the knees for it

the short answer is my headcanon for how monster children happen is non-sexual and involves magic and souls, so None Of That™ is required for him to have a kid 👍

Question about Underswap MH: since Dandelion/Asgore was the one to declare war on humanity, only to back off and leave Orchid/Toriel to do the job, how would the; "The king decided it was time to end our suffering" line in the story go?

I think I'd just switch it to "the royal family decided it was time to end our suffering", since from the monsters' perspective Asgore called for war and disappeared, while Toriel simply continued with his plan. they're aware that she's reclusive, but it's not common knowledge that she wanted to call off the war but felt she couldn't destroy her people's hopes, so to anyone not close to her it would've seemed like she was on board with the plan all along.

wording that part more vaguely feels appropriate since just plain swapping it to "the queen decided x" would be incorrect, and at that point the original game was still keeping a few more details hidden until after UT Asgore's fight. not that there's a game for this but you get what I mean ahah

Out of curiosity, since Gerson and Riverperson were swapped, what's Riverperson's Swap version like? Also are they still called Riverperson?

they're called the Caveperson here since they run a shop in the same Waterfall cave UT Gerson does, and they're very similar to their UT self in the way they make a lot of silly comments as well as cryptic clues in their dialogue :] they're also an old friend of Toriel's, and were a sort of mage/prophet during the war.

also design-wise they're completely unchanged except for having UT Gerson's hat over their hood, so that's gonna be fun to draw ahah
