I DO think it's important that most of James Somerton's subscribers don't watch EVERY video by a creator they like, unless they're the most diehard. Even as a devoted fan of several essayists I can't even say I've definitely watched all of their videos even if I've watched a sizable majority. A lot of people probably saw some very good content he stole and liked it, not watching other content where he added his own thoughts. I know even as a detached casual viewer, he'd say weird shit, I'd make a face, and I'd forget about it. And I think it's something people miss in this. I'm someone who noticed he was a little off,but decided it's good to hear a different perspective and I don't have to agree with every word he says, unknowingly giving a liar money.

I just see so many people saying "HOW DID PEOPLE GIVE HIM MONEY? LMAO" most people didn't sit there absorbing every single word he's ever thrown at a screen. I would put video essays on for background noise and such. It's so easy to miss these things, unfortunately.
