Any headcanons about peni and miles and Gwen.
A few!
I have a fondness for young characters who end up gaining a bunch of surrogate older siblings, so Peni now holds that honor as well!
I think the events that (further) traumatized Peni are the incident with Addy Brock and VE#m and the death of her Aunt May. The comic issue didn’t really have the time to dig into that, but I’d love if Spider-Verse changes it so that Addy and Peni get to be friends before the disaster with VE#m happens. And then after all that, it’d be like the end of that story where she’s talking with her Uncle Ben before Spider-Ham portals to her to invite her into the Society.
At some point she learns about Canon Events and is Devastated. Like, she really Couldn’t have saved her aunt and Addy even if she’d Tried? Her dad was Meant to Die?? She gets comfort from the older Spideys; but I think especially Gwen, who’s absolutely avoiding thinking about her own dad and what him being a Police Captain means. Once things have (hopefully) settled in Beyond, I like to imagine Miles also gaining the older sibling status.
Anyways, headcanons!!
- Peni Canonically Loves Music, even going so far as playing it while she fights crime, so her and Gwen and Miles (and obviously Hobie and Pavitr and Margo) enthusiastically share their musical tastes with each other
- In the same vein, I just want them to hangout as friends so they have like weekly game nights sharing different card and board games and Pavitr keeps trying to convince everyone to let him run a ttrpg he really likes
- Peni and Margo figure out how to make inter-dimensional Wi-Fi so the teens also play MMOs together even when they’re in their respective universes
- Peni watches Hobie and Gwen play a gig and is enamored by the drums so she asks Gwen to teach her and oh Wow what a great outlet she should’ve tried this Sooner (please imagine Spider hanging from a cymbal as Peni plays and doing that cartoon zaggy vibration whenever it’s hit)
- Lots of hopping between each other’s universes cuz I want them to spend even More time together and have like cultural exchanges and stuff
- When Peni eventually divulges how she got her powers and what happened to her dad and the whole Oscorp technically being her employer thing, the protective older siblings instincts come out and one day her Uncle Ben looks up from his work to see his niece flanked by several angry looking teens
- I know this is supposed to be a Peni Gwen Miles friendship dynamic ask but Peni would get along so well with the other teens like if you’ve seen Peni’s room in the comics she’s a big fan of punk rock and would absolutely be besties with Hobie. Then there’s Pavitr and their sunshine personalities would elevate each other! And, as I’ve mentioned before Peni and Margo are Tech Buddies!!!
- A sign of trust from Peni is if she lets you hold Spider. A high honor! Miles doesn’t get it when she just drops em on his shoulder one day when she goes to do something, so when Gwen tells him he tears up a little bit (a lotta bit)
- okay, and finally, if you’ve read the Spider-Verse Unlimited: Infinity story with Peni, you know she wants to be Normal very Badly and does the usual awkward kid thing of trying to fit in with the Popular Kids’ interests while keeping her secret identity safe during the inevitable calls to hero duty interrupting her time with friends. She doesn’t have to do that with her Spidey buds/siblings!! An alert of trouble while hanging with them means some epic team-up fights!!! Chosen family, My Beloved…

carrying on the trend of discussing our shadow knight headcannons as started by @xerith-42 :))
i’m gonna start tweaking here we go. prob will think of more later
- to begin— SKs have a different look to them than most. they tend to have duller hair and skin; paler than their natural tones but in a grey/dead way. this is amplified when in their SK form. additionally, their hair kinda floats while transformed.
- to add on, the actual armor is not really armor. i’ve seen multiple people talk about this— i think it’s like a hardened second skin in a formation similar to armor plating. it flows from them and hardens instantly, almost like blood. when caught of guard, say somebody strikes from behind or something, the armor may activate/materialize in that specific area first, before the response of the entire body’s transformation is triggered.
- the eyes. many people have mentioned this and i even tried to include it in a drawing, but the whites of their eyes turn black in their forms, and their red irises glow. depending on the intensity of power of the shadow knight, the irises will emit a sort of red smoke/aura. additionally, when the form is taken, the scars below the eyes literally rip open. it’s pretty violent and quite painful, although the entire process of taking the form is, so this part goes largely unnoticed by the SK. to bystanders, the blood that spills from them at first gives the illusion of tears of blood.
- back to the armor thing— i also thing the flowing of the armor originates from their death scar and coats the entire body. if that makes sense.
- i think that SKs body temperature is quite the interesting feat. they can typically regulate it, but as the calling onsets it begins harder to tolerate anything cold, as their body begins to prepare itself cruelly for its return to the hellishly hot temperatures of the shadow realm. cruel.
more calling stuff
- the calling is painful. extremely so. it starts as a dull headache. as time passes, the entire body of the shadow knight begins to experience a dull, burning ache. it intensifies and can even become unbearable in the presence of whoever the calling has latched onto. also, if an opportunity arises, such as a knife on a table near them while their back is turned, their hands and head with alight with a unique burning that cannot be cured unless they manage to remove themselves or follow through. each scar will throb as a reminder of their mortality without answering the calling.
- once, when the calling was particularly bad for laurance, this sensation hit him very suddenly. he was with aphmau, discussing important matters, when suddenly his speech was cut short, only a gasping cry managed to creep from his mouth; his eyes simultaneously glowing red. his jaw dropped, and silently, nearly sick with the shock of such pain, he braced one hand on the table and almost fell. he couldn’t speak. he could hardly think, over the ringing in his head and the insistence of the shadow lords mantra in his head to ‘kill her’. his other hand uncontrollably jerked to the hilt of his blade, and he managed one small word to aphmau. “go”. somewhere inside her she knew not to argue, and she exited, despite her fear for his well-being, and promptly informed the nearest (likely vylad) of the current situation. laurance spent the next few hours, alone, huddled on the floor of that study; shaking, sweating, grappling with reality. after that too-close incident, he truly started to distance from the group, becoming entirely terrified of losing himself.
- the SKs also have a sort of hive sense—only activated when something is happening with a portal in the overworld. if one is opened, a panging pain will be felt by the SKs, the intensity of it reflecting the closeness of the portal. usually, this continues as a headache until the portal is shut, or they move far enough from it. this is naturally much worse during the calling, and they will feel an additional pull to the portal.
- adding on, i think it would be interesting if SKs could physically see a certain purple, snaking aura leading to a portal if it is nearby, that no regular, non-SKs can see. this comes in handy if they are searching for the portal, and allows them to direct people precisely if needed.
my take on @adepressedgaydragon ’s doll hc
first off i think this hc is so interesting
- the sort of dissociation that occurs is quite frightening for the SK themselves
- i like to think that this paralyzed state is a way of the shadow lord reasserting his fear into the SKs. as a way of reminding them of his power over them. perhaps when they are paralyzed like a puppet with cut strings, they are living out some brief hallucination in their head.
- sometimes are worse than others, and these spells can sort of be used to determine the current strength of the shadow lord based on frequency and intensity. sometimes the SK will snap out of it and come to as if nothing happened, other times they snap back and suddenly they collapse into a heap of panic because they are so extremely terrified.
- these hallucinations that occur are similar to those that gene inflicted on laurance during his initial transformation. furthermore, it would be interesting if gene (due to his mind control abilities) had some sort of minor power involving these doll-like episodes. his manipulated version would be fightable tho, something others could resist, unlike the organic ones that are largely unavoidable.
- another scenario because i’m fueled by angst: once, during one of these episodes, garroth was keeping an eye on laurance. this was not much long after his transformation, and was one of the first doll-like happening he had. garroth was sitting nearby, having moved laurance to a sitting position near him. all was usual until instead of blinking back to reality, laurance went from being motionless to launching from the chair he was in, stumbling, gasping in bone chilling fear as he tried to wipe the hallucination from his mind. garroth, although unable to understand his struggle, tried his damndest to comfort laurance, practically catching him when he sprung from his chair, holding him steady as he struggled to breathe out of fear. ‘i’ve got you; it wasn’t real’ repeated frantically into his ear.
alright that’s all for now folks, please give your thoughts/ask any questions!! i love discussing these ideas!!

Now the question is, if adventure-swap!LU met normal!LU, what would their reactions be, and who pairs up to cause the most chaos?
I’m so excited for this question because I have SO MANY ideas for the classic LU cast meeting the AS group
One of the big scenarios I had in mind was some weird portal shenanigans resulting in one of the LU group being swapped with the AS group, but I have a whole writing idea for how that would go. Let’s say that the full groups met one another for this one (I’ll save the single person getting swapped for another post).
(Just for clarity’s sake, I’m gonna use the alt nicknames for the swap guys. Sky is Cloud, Four is Champ, Time is Lily, Legend is Cryptid, Hyrule is Bard, Twi is Soul, Wind is Addie, Wars is Barren, and Wild is Loft)
Firstly, the two groups would be very suspicious of one another. Why wouldn’t they be? There’s nothing not suspicious about seeing yourselves but slightly to the left. Assuming the two groups manage to figure out what’s going on before they resort to blows, though, here’s how I think everyone would get along:
Sky and Cloud get along swimmingly! Cloud is tired and just wants to get away from the chaos for a little bit, and Sky is content to just chat. Cloud mentions his engagement to his Sun, which makes Sky a bit flustered (he and his own Sun aren’t quite there yet). They also show off their woodcarvings! Cloud is enamored with the carvings Sky’s done of his loftwing, and is delighted to hear about life in Skyloft. In return, he talks about his time living in his era’s Castle Town!
Four and Champ get along pretty well too. Champ is admittedly much more impulsive than Four, but Four recognizes a lot of Champ’s odd behaviors as things he used to do before his own colors were more in sync. He wishes he could give advice to him on how to deal with it, but in reality it’s a matter of time. There’s no instant solution for feeling like a single person again, it just takes time and cooperation. Despite how well they get along, Four almost throttles Champ after witnessing him shatter a blade just like Wild does. Poor Four is despairing at the loss of the poor innocent blade that was lost at Champ’s hands, meanwhile Champ is just like “yeah, I’m cursed. I hate it too.”
Lily’s first impression of Time was not great. Lily wouldn’t be caught dead in full plate, no siree. Enchanted clothes only. Thankfully, Time is not a snob like he feared, and they have many more similarities than differences. They spend 5 hours straight talking about their own Malons and how much they love her. Lily also shares some eyepatches with Time, just for fun. They bond over their love of the simple farm life and the joy of occasional chaos.
Legend and Cryptid start bantering right away, making fun of the other and bonding through that. Cryptid teases him for not committing to the pink hair and compares him to a dragon with all that jewelry. Legend mocks how impractical Cryptid’s refusal to wear shoes is and starts calling him “dolphin boy” after he makes a strange inhuman sound. All of that comes crashing down when Cryptid offhandedly mentions his girlfriend, and when Legend asks he admits that it’s Marin. Seeing his reaction to the name, Cryptid hesitantly asks if he has someone named Ravio (he does). The two promptly stop talking, not wanting to face the feelings that come with the other getting to keep the person they’re mourning.
Hyrule and Bard wander off together and have a grand time together, just exploring and pointing out things. The Twilights end up having to track them down and bring them back later, but it’s worth it! Bard also teaches Hyrule some songs. Hyrule’s not very good at it, but he’s having a great time playing along! Hyrule, in return, teaches him how to brew all sorts of teas with herbs he can forage. They wander off again and fly around together as fairies, and are even joined by Proxi (much to Barren’s worry, he doesn’t like having her gone when he’s dealing with so many unknown factors).
Twilight and Soul spend a lot of time trying to keep the Fours, Hyrules, and Wilds from wandering off (and Soul is annoyed that Barren isn’t helping him like usual). They do talk about their families back home, and about life on the ranch. They also go for a run together as wolves when they track down the Hyrules. It’s great, but it did give Twilight a scare when Soul transformed way too close to the rest of the group. What if he’d gotten seen!? As it turns out, Soul’s entire group already knows he can turn into a wolf, whereas only a few know for Twilight. That adds some stress to Twi’s shoulders, since he knows that any one of Soul’s group could let his secret out. Soul asks Midna to tell the others not to mention it, and she gets Proxi to help for those who can’t see her. Speaking of Midna, he doesn’t bring her up to Twilight. Twi brings her up and proceeds to angst about his broken heart and Soul is awkwardly sitting there while his own Midna is just vibing on his shoulder.
Wind and Addie start telling each other stories immediately. Everyone else is relieved, because if those two weren’t so entertained telling one another stories, then they’d undoubtedly be causing trouble. Unfortunately for everyone, they do get bored of storytelling eventually. Pranks ensue. Nobody is safe. They accept no alliances with the Wilds or Times, the only partner in crime is each other, everyone else is a potential target.
Warriors and Barren are cautious of one another. The others are so similar to each other, but Warriors is clean and pristine and Barren has tattered clothes and a near permanent smudge of dirt on his face. Warriors can see that the rest of the swapped group behaves very similarly to his own team, but Barren seems so different from himself and the uncertainty keeps him on edge. Barren meanwhile is already on edge from all the new factors he has to account for, and this pristine version of himself has him on extremely high alert. The two do talk and ease up a bit. They might be outwardly very different, but they find that they’re actually not so different once they get chatting. Warriors does get backhanded across the face after trying to give Barren a friendly pat on the back, though Barren apologizes and has Proxi heal it (not that it’s needed, but it’s more a way to show he’s sorry for hitting him). Needless to say, the rest of the group is made aware of Barren’s strict no-touching policy very quickly.
Finally, Wild and Loft! They are so prepared to cause chaos together. They run off but are eventually herded back to the group by the Twilights. They have a great time comparing weapons. Mostly it’s Wild showing off, since Loft won’t even hold a sword other than Fi. Loft even gets to play with his slate, and is very excited to discover that the Fours are magnetic. He spends way too much time flinging Champ around with the magnesis (which Champ doesn’t actually mind, he and the colors fling each other around on the regular). Wild and Loft make a game of seeing how high they can fling Champ into the sky (don’t worry, he can glide down). It only ends when they try to rope a very unwilling Four into their competition (and when Addie gets caught trying to pickpocket Wild’s slate to give it a try himself). The Times put a stop to it.
Now, what about the interactions between people who share the same adventures?
Sky and Loft talk about home, mostly. They’re curious about how different Skyloft is between the two of them, and find more similarities than differences. Loft is also very curious about how Sky’s early adventure went, seeing as he doesn’t remember pulling Fi. All he remembers is waking up on the surface, aching and confused. They also talk happily about their loftwings, and Loft is amazed by Sky’s crimson loftwing! Back in his era, it’s actually Flora who has the unique crimson loftwing!
Four and Soul complain about Vaati, but Four is also enamored with Midna. He’d seen her resting on Soul’s shoulder from the moment they first met, but now he gets to interact with her personally! She’s absolutely hilarious, a little bundle of sass and nonstop comments. Four is impressed with Soul’s poker face, he doesn’t think he’d be able to stand it! They have a very tiny adventure together, though it’s mostly just walking around. The world seems entirely different when you’re so small!
Time and Bard have a long talk about what they faced. Bard already really looks up to Lily, so meeting a version of him that has lived through the same adventure is incredible. He really looks up to Time, and wants all sorts of advice. How does he handle full moons after what happened? How does he sleep without magic helping him? How did he heal? How did he get through the nightmare of being 17 again and feeling like every cell in your body is wrong? Time does his best to answer, but sadly some of it is just waiting. He does try to offer some coping techniques, and insists that Bard try to find some people he can talk to. It will be hard, but it’ll help.
Legend is pissed at Addie for messing with him and his stuff during his pranks earlier, but eventually relents and the two compare items from various adventures. They compare the look, feel, and abilities of their various weapons, rods, and rings. They don’t talk about their adventures (though Addie does try to bring it up at one point), and instead stick with the much safer topics of items. They’re both enchantment enthusiasts, after all!
Hyrule and Barren don’t really have much to talk about at first. It’s kinda awkward. Barren does ask Hyrule about having visions, but is disappointed to find that Hyrule doesn’t have anything like that (and he proceeds to not bring it up again, recalling how Bard was very concerned about his visions and not wanting to have Hyrule worry about him either). Words don’t work so well, but you don’t really need words to go adventuring. They head off to explore the area together, with Barren’s team assuring Hyrule’s that Barren will bring them back without incident and before dinner. Out in the wilderness there’s no awkwardness, just their own wanderlust and love of nature.
Twilight and Cryptid don’t really have much to share about. Cryptid is already defensive and unwilling to talk about his adventure after learning Legend still lives with Ravio (and by the golden three, that hurts. He can’t help but imagine the little Twili living with him and Marin in his home). Trying to find a topic that won’t make Cryptid tell him to fuck off is tricky. He doesn’t want to talk about his family, he doesn’t want to talk about his adventure, he doesn’t want to talk about his transformations… Finally they settle on talking about their houses. Twilight talks about his ranch, and Cryptid opens up about the modifications he plans to make to his own home to allow Marin to live there more comfortably. That leads to some comfortable conversation that bounces between topics, going from their homes to their Zeldas to their future plans and more.
Wind and Lily both agree that all the walking they’re forced to do sucks and that this whole ordeal would be better if they travelled by boat. They talk about their families, about their respective Zeldas (Wind is enthralled by the stories of Captain Sheik and their particular brand of craziness, while Lily is intrigued by the similarities and differences between his own captain and Captain Tetra). They also talk about their sisters. Wind raves about how awesome and fierce little Aryll is, while Lily fondly recalls how sweet and cheerful Saria is. They share trinkets they have from their families (Wind’s telescope, Lily’s embroidered eyepatches), and all in all have a great chat! (And maybe they sing a sea shanty or two, since nobody else wants to do it with them)
Warriors and Cloud avoid talking about the worst parts of their respective wars and keep it to the lighter side. Cloud happily talks about his engagement (though Cia does briefly come up in this conversation, though the topic is quickly buried because neither really want to talk about her). They have a sort of camaraderie together that reminds them of the army! Warriors talks about his general Impa, and Cloud talks about how incredible Groose was by his side. They talk about their Zeldas and how they fought alongside one another, and talk about their hobbies outside of their job. Cloud does woodcarving and tends to his cuccos (which Warriors thinks is crazy). Warriors, meanwhile, is a big fan of sewing and has started working on embroidery. Both know they need to get more hobbies, and bounce ideas back and forth. They also take some time to spar one another, which both builds that sense of camaraderie, and is overall just really fun!
Wild and Champ hit a roadblock pretty quickly when Wild learns that Champ retained his memories. He loosened up a bit when Champ explains that the shrine of resurrection split his soul into pieces (though he doesn’t elaborate on what precisely that means). Once they get past that hurdle, talking about their absolutely batshit shenanigans is a blast. Shield surfing, trying to ride a molduga, jumping off mountaintops, and all sorts of other wacky things. A lot of the insanity Wild has done, Champ has also done in some capacity (and vise versa). Anyone listening in silently agrees to never let these two run off alone together.

Maddie and Jack Fenton were biased, terrible scientists, and they knew it; but most of their inventions worked! The portal turned on, the bazookas hurt ghosts, the Fenton Fisher bound ghosts, the Fenton Weasel could suck ghosts out of people, so they clearly weren't all wrong either.
Maddie sat at her desk, head propped on an arm as she stared at the massive pile of papers she and Jack had published; she knew at least some of their theories were sound, but which ones were wrong? She couldn't get it out of her head, nothing lined up perfectly with their theories; the ghosts were aggressive, sure, but they hadn't killed anyone; Phantom was playing at being a hero, but it had been years and he hadn't destroyed them yet. Where had they gone wrong?
"-addie, Mads, honey, sweetie, honey drizzled fudge with fudge syrup on top?"
Maddie shook herself from her daze, "Huh? Oh, what do you need, honey?"
"I can't get this thrice cursed, spook infested thing to work! Could you take a look at it?"
Maddie looked back at the stack of erroneous theories, "Sure honey! This can wait," it always could; it's not like anyone's life depended on it.

Hi! I love your art and just had a question about our favorite malewife Addie! So I was thinking about what the Ouroboros symbolizes and all the dif interpretations of it and it got me thinking. The Ouroboros symbolizes infinity, the constant destruction and creation of things. I remember from your art that if Addie succeeds his body would be a portal, destroying him. Using the infinity logic would it be possible tho for him to come back together, or would the snake use his body to take form? 🤔
Ah...no not really. the entire universe would be consumed and then reborn as a part of the ouroboros, and Addie would just be the first in line (he is very excited).
It's like....SORT OF everyone gets to live forever in a constant cycle of death and rebirth....but this cycle of self-consumption and regeneration is homogenous. Your individual consciousness is annihilated by becoming part of the ouroboros, so there isn't really a "you" anymore....Listen have you ever seen the original ending to Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Book Review: The Unmaking of June Farrow by Adrienne Young
Tumblr media
The Unmaking of June Farrow is precisely the type of book I look for to usher in the cozy-spooky-quiet of fall time. Not only is there a quaintness to the setting, which nestles itself comfortably amid the farms and the flower fields of a small town in North Carolina where everyone knows each other, but there's also a magical realism element that frays timelines, blurs ancestral ties, and unravels family secrets and curses.
As the story opens, June Farrow is waiting to be claimed. For madness to take her like it has taken all Farrow women before her. She is determined to be the last of her name, to never fall in love, to never pass the family curse onto another generation. However, after her grandmother's death, a flurry of clues arrive that are connected to her mother's disappearance, leading her to step through a mysterious red door in search of answers. What she finds on the other side is both unbelievable and uncanny, but it also reveals something she's secretly always wanted.
The journey June embarks upon challenges every belief she has about herself, her family, and the history of her beloved town, Jasper, that she thought she knew. It's an intricately plotted and suspenseful tale with a slow unraveling that'll keep readers hunting for answers right alongside June.
The story itself is a bend of different genres and tropes - from murder mystery to fantasy, from time travel to thriller to unconventional second chance romance - which gives it an unorthodox pulse, making it both offbeat and comfy all at once.
If I had to categorize the book as a whole, I'd say its themes and cadence lie somewhere between Practical Magic, The Time Traveler's Wife, Dark Matter, and The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue. Reading it is like stepping through a door and into a portal world where an unsolved mystery shadows the town and love can cross any boundary of time. Perfect for anybody who likes atmospheric reads in the autumn!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Ballantine for the ARC in exchange for my review.
4/5 stars

Well hello there
Hey, hi, hello. I'm Elspeth. Elsa or Els work, too. Or Chrismerle if you just wanna stick with usernames. There have been a few iterations of my pinned post, but I figured it was about time to put together a new one.
I'm in my 30s. Greyromantic asexual. Nonbinary. I prefer they/them but honestly I'll take whatever pronouns you lob at me. I crochet. I make jewelry. I do tarot readings. I write (mostly ghostwriting lately, but sometimes I have time to write something I can actually share on tumblr). I edit. I do a bunch of things.
This blog is mostly a mishmash of fandom stuff, art stuff, some political stuff, and cute animals. I don't try to stick to any one theme in particular. Theoretically, I'm a writeblr blog, and I'm open to tag games or answering questions about my WIPs, but I'm very inactive as a writeblr because of work. My queue spits out 30 posts a day and is generally loaded for at least 10 to 15 days out, and I also periodically reblog random shit on the spot.
My WIPs:
#wip: threshold: Portal fantasy of mixed/indeterminate subgenre, wherein a bunch of young adults from the regular world get lured through a portal and stranded, and need to be guided back home. Complications occur. (Smells a bit like Fallen London.)
#wip: brothers: Short story exploring what it means to find your own identity when you've only ever been part of a package deal before.
#wip: eigengrau: Vaguely European low(-ish) fantasy dealing with gods and fae being fickle, zombies, cults, and a zombie cult.
#wip: ties that bind: Honestly I don't even fucking know. I've started it over twice and haven't liked it either time. It's vaguely about people finally getting to tell their own story after the world has silenced them and made up a story for them, but the story itself keeps falling to shit.
#series: rags 'n' addy: It's an oddball series of one shots primarily following the characters Ragnarok and Adam. Sort of horror, sort of fantasy, sort of rustic sci-fi. Happy to accept one shot prompts if you want to give one.
Most of my original, non-reblogged posts:
#actual journaling: Mostly me yammering on about my day or my pets.
#elsa liveblogs nonsense: My running commentary on whatever I am watching, playing, or reading at the moment.
#writeblr: All of my original fiction writing stuff, including my WIPs and some things that otherwise weren't tagged.
#jewelry drop: Stuff I've made for my Etsy shop. Not all of it is actually jewelry, but I didn't want too many tags just for the shop.

PINK KKOMAS 134
Spoiler for my stories
"come out, come out little bastard."
Kuma can hear that person called out to him as he lick his paws, he look down at the pinky that's trying to catch him again today. He rolled his eyes before he pick Kitty who's sleeping soundly. His red eyes glow as his shadow shutter around him and soon create a distraction in five different direction. Before he run away again, once again escaped that crazy pinky.
While walking, he saw other pinky walking around the place, one of them give him some food which made him glad there's only one lunatic from all of them, while eating in a safe place. He transform back to his human form while kitty in his arms yawn.
"another normal day..." He mumble as he eats the sandwich. While doing so, he heard someone approaching the direction. He look up and saw that new pinky, the undead one picking up sticks under the tree his in. With nothing to do, he watch Hallow as others called this new pinky. form a square in the ground and tap the squire and a portal appears, through only the size of the squire.
Hallow proceed to take out dishes from the squire, it look like well prepared food and a whole table dishes at that before he put it to a cart that he always take out.
"can I help you?" Through before the undead left, he look up to Kuma direction up in the tree with a soft smile in his face, he have long notice the cat darling doll presence with his sight but he have priorities he first take care of-- like taking out food from the kitchen from the estate! Since ghost always left food for others to eat but no one usually touch them so it's a waste! Since he never feed his friends. Might as well do this skill his practicing for a while, which is making small portal to location he know.
"meow..." Kuma lazily meows pretending his just a cat. "Oh. It's the cat from before... Friends of Addy... Do you want more food or an items?" Hallow thought that he still did not apologize enough for what he did last time to Kuma so he offer some item and food that will help him sometimes in the future before he went back to Doll and sea who's starving as Reaper is yet to come back from his garden to pick some fruits.

So how do you think peni joined the spider society.
I think I’ve already offered two possibilities at this point:
It could've happened like the comics. Spider-Ham (maybe with Noir, too) portals to her dimension while she’s talking with her Uncle Ben in the aftermath of Addy and Aunt May’s deaths. In the comics, it's cuz they needed her for a Big Fight with some Dimensional Vampires, but for Spider-Verse I'd say it's probably cuz they need her tech genius to further improve the Society's ability to catch anomalies.
OR
Gwen comes to Peni after the recent tragedy and brings her in because, again, she’s a genius and would be useful to the Society. I'd want it to be Gwen just cuz this'd probably be another step in convincing Miguel to let Miles join. But also Peni is her friend, too, and she Missed her. And of Course, Peni would jump at the chance to be with them, again!

What's the leadership like in the AS!Chain? Is it still Lily, Barren, and Soul? Is it adventure-coded with Bard, Cloud, and Cryptid? Secret third option??
Great question! The main leadership group is still Lily, Barren, and Soul, though Addie is also considered part of the leadership team with his adventuring expertise. Occasionally Cloud will chip in, but that’s mostly by calling out commands or warnings in battle, otherwise he tends to stay out of leading.
This did get me thinking though, so here’s how everyone would go about leading
(And a small reminder for anyone who wants an easy reference for the au nicknames: Sky is Cloud, Four is Champ, Time is Lily, Legend is Cryptid, Hyrule is Bard, Twilight is Soul, Wind is Addie, Warriors is Barren, and Wild is Loft)
Cloud can say with certainty that he didn’t enjoy his position as commander of the army. It felt more like a necessity than anything else: something he needed to step up and do because he was the chosen one and nobody else could. Learning that Cia’s main motivation was him above all else cemented that idea in his head. He hasn’t had much time to rest since the war, and he’s almost eager to let the others take the leader role. He’s tired of strategizing and was never very good at it anyway (Groose was always the brains of the operation). If he does take charge, it’ll usually be in the midst of battle. That’s where he feels the sharpest, and he often calls out things in his “commander voice” as the others call it. Despite not wanting a leadership role, Cloud’s the one who insists everyone do practice drills and has really helped them all learn to fight alongside one another (something that only he and Addie have proper experience with).
Champ doesn’t want to be on the leadership squad. He knows full well how much energy it takes to keep the colors in line enough to be a competent person, he’ll pass on leading everyone else. If it comes down to it, Champ is pretty good at leading. That is, so long as there’s someone with him to help make decisions. See, he’s good at the compromising part, but just because he can help the others compromise with one another doesn’t mean that he can compromise with the colors. He’d prefer to get his own head in order first before he tries leading everyone else. He’s an excellent potion brewer, though, and is always prepared to distribute elixirs and headpieces of his armor if it might give his companions a boost in whatever they’re doing.
Lily never intended to be a leader figure. He’s the youngest of many siblings, and he’s a subordinate on Captain Sheik’s ship (and he doesn’t want to undermine their authority unless he has to). He was genuinely startled to find everyone else looking to him for leadership. Was it because he’s the oldest? He’s guessing that’s why. He accepted the role given to him even if it was unexpected, because it wasn’t unwanted. The others generally listen to him, after all, and them seeing him as the stoic leader type makes it so much funnier to see them react when Lily acts like the gremlin he is.
Cryptid could lead, but quite frankly he won’t. At first he didn’t want to be a leader because that would put him in charge of them, and in the early days he had absolutely no intention of getting attached. See, his trauma around portals lead him to believe that he’d once again lost everything, and he kinda blamed the others for it even if they were victims as much as he was. As it became more obvious that the portals were taking them through time and would eventually return them to their own eras, he loosened up a bit, but also feared getting too close. They’ll be taken from him soon, he knows it. Eventually he decides he’ll enjoy having them while they’re here and grieve them when they’re gone, but in the time it took for him to reach that point, the leadership squad had already been established and Cryptid was perfectly content with it.
Bard doesn’t like the idea of leading. He’s got all sorts of magical songs to suggest when the others make plans (to the point that it’s a running joke that he has a song for any occasion), but beyond having them help with that, he doesn’t want to be leader. He doesn’t consider himself a hero like the rest, but not in a self deprecating way. He simply sees himself as a person doing the right thing. Bard firmly believes that any good person in his position would have at least tried to do what he’s done. Sure, he’s proud of his accomplishments and knows not just anybody could succeed, but he doesn’t think just doing the right thing makes him a hero. In a team full of heroes, he doesn’t think a simple adventurer would have much to contribute to the leadership squad. Besides, they seem to have it handled! Admittedly, Bard’s extended isolation throughout his adventures makes it hard for him to plan for a group, though he’s getting much better at it. He’ll leave the leadership to the others (and he has immense faith in Lily and really looks up to him!)
Soul is part of the leadership squad and is proud of his role in it. Where Lily is the voice of the group (so to speak), and the one the others typically look to, Soul takes on a slightly more passive role in leadership. He’s the one constantly doing a head count, making sure nobody’s wandered off, checking to be sure nobody’s hiding any injuries, and calling for snack breaks whenever he notices someone falling behind. The group’s welfare is his main priority. Midna is a second set of eyes and is always quick to update him if she notices anything he might’ve missed. He’s also usually the one who herds the wanderers back to the group, assuming Barren hadn’t gone with them (he’ll make sure they don’t get too lost).
Addie’s experience with both adventuring and fighting alongside others makes him a prime candidate for leader. He is kinda impulsive, though, and having the others also in a leadership position helps keep him from getting off task. He may be the youngest, but he’s been adventuring his whole life! Being so young meant he’s had many companions travel and fight by his side throughout all of them. Cooperating with and fighting alongside others is pretty natural for him. He’s also familiar with a lot of things, and knows how to handle being thrown into new situations when he isn’t. (Having the others respect him enough to consider him a leader is also really nice, even if he’s long since stopped caring about how people disregard him due to his age)
Barren is a strategist and a survivalist first and foremost. He’s always making plans. Part of it is anxiety drilled into him from a life on the run, always drafting up plans to help him survive. Part of it is his natural affinity for planning and strategizing. It’s a double edged sword. He may be able to whip out 6 different plans of attack for any given situation, but it also means he lays awake at night thinking and planning how he’d wake everyone up if they were to be attacked. He’s got a sort of charisma that helps him explain his plans to the others and helps him take charge in a more intense situation. All that being said, he does need someone like Soul to tell him when it’s time to rest before he works himself into a frenzy trying to account for any and all possibilities.
Loft isn’t the best fit for leading the group, and he’s perfectly fine with that. With amnesia that leaves him with many gaps in things others wouldn’t think twice about, a big helping of untreated adhd that makes understanding how others think difficult, and a general tendency to get distracted and wander off, Loft would not be the ideal leader. Could he do it if needed? Absolutely, but he knows others would be better suited for it. That won’t stop him from chiming in with a brilliant idea from time to time (though these ideas are also often referred to as “batshit insane”).
Some other little things about the group dynamic that I wanna note:
Cryptid’s mermaid form gives him perpetually dry skin, which also means frequent nosebleeds. Every time, without fail, Soul’s sensitive nose will pick up on blood and he’ll panic for the few seconds it takes before he realizes that there’s no hidden injuries, just Cryptid’s nose again.
The problem children are considered to be Champ, Bard, Addie, and Loft, but all for different reasons. Champ is impulsive and prone to getting roped into the others’ shenanigans (especially Loft’s). He can be the most responsible person there one moment to a lover of arson and chaos the next. It really depends. Bard isn’t usually the prankster and doesn’t tend to get into any particular trouble, but he does often wander off. He has a slight disregard for his personal well-being because “oh, I can just heal myself”, which stresses everyone else out. Addie can be trusted in dungeons and in the middle of battle. He knows his limits very well, and has shown that he’ll come to the group if he needs something. When there’s no adventuring to be had and they’re all resting? He can quickly turn into chaos gremlin supreme. Loft, meanwhile, is on the list of problem children for obvious reasons. Bard’s tendencies to wave off injuries pale in comparison to the absolutely buck wild stuff Loft gets into on the regular. Is it because he doesn’t think before he act? Did losing his memories mean he also lost a sense of pain? Who knows! The point is, he’s eager to run into danger and also eat random plants he finds. Somehow he hasn’t gotten sick yet, and despite the chaos he dives into headfirst he’s yet to earn any particularly serious injuries.
Lily tends to take a backseat when in his own era, though he doesn’t do it consciously. He’s pretty much never the leader back home. He’s the youngest of his siblings and gets absolutely 0 respect, Captain Sheik is obviously is captain of their ship, and he’s eager to do whatever Malon asks of him. He doesn’t really notice he’s doing it, admittedly, he’ll just take a step back even among the chain because back home he’s just not the boss.

i would like to know more about elisa dtr because they have the same name as my sister and i see you tag them a lot on posts!!!
!!!! ok! (also what a coincidence! I actually named Elisa that because it was what my parents were going to name me, and I thought giving the main character a name I was almost given fit the multiverse premise of the story!)
so, Elisa’s full name is Isabela Elisa Cantarla, but she goes by her middle name instead of her first. She is Puerto Rican American, genderqueer, pan, and uses she/they pronouns. Their birthday is February 10th, and they are 13 at the beginning of the series.
Elisa’s original universe is a tween-focused show called “The Astronomy Club” and the main character is Marcy. The show is…not that good. Elisa is a background character, which basically means impermanence and unimportance is her whole existence. However, she’s also a narrator, which gives her more awareness than the other extras. This makes them miserable, because they KNOW how hopeless their existence is and how trapped they are in their role but they can’t change it. They’ve tried, and has done everything she could think of to be more than just someone in the background, but alas, her universe’s story is not about her.
Until one day. While watching her favorite show, “Hephaestus Smith,” a supporting character, Addison, came up to Elisa for a chat. Turns out, this Addison is also a fan of “Hephaestus Smith,” and they get to talking and end up kind of becoming friends (a first for Elisa). Though, in all honesty, Elisa mainly jumped at the chance to be Addison’s friend because Addi is a supporting character, and that’s just the person Elisa needs to be friends with if they want to break out of their boring life.
One day, Elisa is hanging out with Addison at the matter’s house, and after talking about the first episodes of the new season of HS and what the future holds for Kalani’s character development, Elisa opens up about a story she’s been writing: Chromatic, about two nations at war and how main character Jaden gets caught up in it. Addison expresses an interest in it (also a first for Elisa), and after Elisa leaves Addi’s house, they end up falling through a mysterious portal and meeting both Kalani and Jaden. Cue fangirling.
Elisa’s main hobby is writing, both stories and songs (her original universe is a musical, after all). She also writes HS fanfic, and ships Ellani (Elle x Kalani). They also are mostly fluent in Spanish and committed to learning it after their first ever trip to Puerto Rico. Elisa is a very anxious person and tends to overthink and freak out over small things. That being said, she is a bit of an adrenaline junkie, partially because they face no real dangers in her original universe. They admit to occasionally triggering panic attacks on purpose just out of sheer boredom. Elisa’s favorite way to de-stress is to make origami.
Before Addison, they do have one friend: Roberta, Elisa’s backpack. The backpack does not speak, but it does have the cartoony ability of being able to hold an infinite amount of stuff (perfect for an anxious hoarder type like herself). Still, Elisa has developed a bond with it and considers Roberta a close friend.
so yeah, that’s just some basic overview stuff. :)
