i never knew what's inside me

i asked myself what all these feelings mean

the shooting stars always knew what I wished for

but darling I did not know,

that you have to be careful what you wish for

because suddenly I understood what I was made of

and now I know why unknowing people are the happiest.

I know it is a lazy excuse to say it wasnt meant to be instead of facing the fact that we just didn't know what to do, we were young and we didn't understand what was going on, so if people ever ask why, I'll stick to 'it wasnt meant to be' because thats what I'm telling myself so I dont hate myself for not fighting and I don't hate you for just going... I tell myself it was the best for both of us to let each other go, but still, it hurts
