Little ramble about a personal project I'm starting! SO if you know me, you probably know that I'm slightly (very) obsessed with a song artist called Jonathan Coulton, AKA JoCo! I've been a fan of his stuff ever since around 2006 when Spiffworld on YouTube started making World of Warcraft Machinimas of JoCo's songs. I used to listen to his music a lot on my little mp3 player that couldn't shuffle (I prefer to shuffle when I can) so I'd memorise all the songs and the order they were on that mp3 :D Then 2007 comes along and a little game called Portal comes out, with of course, the classique Still Alive that was written by JoCo himself! I was more hooked then ever, lol. I've been lucky enough to catch him live twice when he was in the UK, but that was over a decade ago now :O (JoCo pls come back to UK!) ANYWAY, flash back to half a year ago - a project by the user @baalzebufo pops up on my dash called the Weird Al-Cana and HOLY HECK is it awesome!! (please check it out!) I'm instantly inspired, and with their blessing, I decided I was gonna do a silly personal project called the... *drumroll* JoCo Tarot! I rarely get such an urge to do personal projects as a freelance artist nowadays. I love my job but sometimes the guilt for spending art energy not on work is tuff! So to have such a big spark for this is so refreshing, and one my my own personal resolutions this year is to spend some time each Saturday doing something for myself! :D This project will be the Major Arcana only (to save my wrist). I've gotten all of the song choices 99% fleshed out, and I'm still in the process of deciding what sort of style I'm after for the project. I'm not well practiced in inanimate objects, so it's some will definitely be a challenge in that regard lol! I will say that some of my picks aren't the most obvious of choices, and I'd love to explain my thought processes with WIP's! In fact, the point of making this post is to give you guys a tag to follow (JoCo Tarot) if you're interested in seeing the WIP's and stuff!~ It feels weird to put my heart on my sleeve regarding self-indulgently things, but GOOD >:D I hope that this can find it's audience somewhere (I know u JoCo fans are out there!) And that in turn will inspire me to keep going with it! My dream would be to get this thing printed and give out some copies if I ever one day get to go on the Cruise!

DP Tarot Project (Minor Arcana)

Okay, this got a lot of attention over the past day. For less confusion, I’ve made google sheet so that people can sign up for which card they want to make.

recap: We’re making DP themed minor arcana tarot cards to complement oceankat8′s DP major arcana tarot cards (our end goal is to have a full DP tarot deck :D). There’s 56 cards total. The cards are grouped into 4 suits (Wands / Pentacles / Cups / Swords), 14 cards each (Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Page, Knight, Queen, King). Each card is associated with a meaning (you can look up the meaning on google)

what we do: 1) Click on link below, 2) pick a card(s) you want to do, and 3) type your tumblr name in the area next to the card’s name. You can look up the card’s meaning on google for ideas. I don't want to limit imagination so you're free to design however you want while keeping to the suit's theme (such as ace of wands = the card contains 1 wand/stick/baton/some type of stick that fits the theme).

You can sign up one or many, up to you (but try to keep it to the amount you can handle pls). If you feel like doing more, feel free to revisit and sign up for more :)

art guidelines: 

card dimension: 3.5 inches by 6 inches

resolution: 400 pixel per inch (optional but preferred)

You can tag finished artwork under [ #dp tarot cards ]  so that it’s easy for everyone to find :) Also it would be really great if you can add your art link to the sheet :D

Len is definitely big sister material! The other's have their moments but she's probably the most caring, nurturing, mature one of the lot

I don't have much info about the others cause Eliza is just easier to make things about because om gave us lots of titbits about MC (and me being the sucker for canon that I am) just built off it.

But here's what I have so far, from oldest to newest (the info in some might be contrasting depending on how old the post is (eg: their backstory got slightly modified), purely because I forgot shit)

1. Obey Me! -> Eliza (it stands for A-Lizard) (they/them) 25 (23 in S1), somewhere between 5'9 & 5'10

* Their birthday is on the 21st of April cause I downloaded OM! on the 20th of April and yeah I didn't realise I'd missed 4.20 until it was too late💀

• List of who does what in the relationship with Mammon (this was written for general MC but since Eliza is heavily based off them it fits)

• Short fic about Eliza & the brothers' birthdays (since I base Eliza off MC so much even when writing general MC fics I keep Eliza in mind so that I have a consistent characterisation and writing is easier but outta my 20 om! fics this is the only one that I actually wrote about them)

• Obey Me MC tag game (Eliza's favourite things)

• Questions specifically about Eliza (the picrew in this was the closest I had at the time but the one in the recent ask is more accurate)
