Furina's Guide to Valentine's Day

author's note; pumped out a quick Valentine's day drabble for you guys 🫶 Here's some flowers for you 💐

0. Before anything, check target's interest

Furina picked at her lunch as she watched Neuvillette and you talk. With the way you were rambling on and on while Neuvillette nodded his head with a soft smile, Furina knew.

She chuckled under her breath. You two were too obvious! But, a little check wouldn't hurt.

Furina stood up from her seat and made her way over to the two of you. She planted herself next to Neuvillette and sent you a beaming smile.

You sent her one back before asking her about her day. She gave a simple response of fine before adding:

"But Papa isn't." Furina faked a sniffle before laying the back of her hand on her forehead. "Papa's been so lonely! I want him to be happy, especially with Valentine's Day coming up."

Furina settled her forehead against Neuvillette's arm with a sigh. She subtly glanced at your expression. Your brows had furrowed as you looked at Neuvillette to confirm what Furina had said.

"Ah, Furina is exaggerating-"

"Nu-uh! He always ends up watching these weird crime documentaries on Valentine's Day! It screams loneliness-" Neuvillette covered Furina's mouth with a strained smile.

"Please excuse Furina."

You waved off his concern with a smile.

"Well, Furina shows a lot of concern for you. You're lucky to have such a considerate daughter."

Now he had to marry you. No way Furina was gonna let you get away.

1. Make sure your target is free the day of

When Furina approached you one fateful morning, you weren't exactly sure what to expect. You definitely didn't expect her to ask about your availability on Valentine's Day.

However, you couldn't deny her an answer because of the puppy dog eyes she pulled on you. It's not like you had any reason to hide your plans for Valentine's Day, not that you had any plans to begin with.

Furina's bright, mischievous smile made you slightly regret your decision to spill about your plans to just stay home and do nothing for Valentine's Day.

Her slightly evil giggle made you worry more.

2. Plan and consult about your confession with your amazing advisor!

When Furina stormed into Neuvillette's room with a large roll of paper and colorful supplies, Neuvillette already had an idea of what she was planning.

"Furina.." Neuvillette watched as Furina placed the large paper on his desk. The pens and markers in her fist rolled onto the table as well.

"Please, please, lemme help?" Furina asked with her best pout.

"Furina-"

"C'mon, I think you two would be a great couple! And I know I can help! Not to brag or anything, but I happen to have an unbroken streak of getting people together!" Furina lets out a proud huff, hands settled on her hips.

Neuvillette sighed, subjecting to his fate. He moved aside his lesson plans and motioned for Furina to come around the desk.

With a beaming smile, Furina skipped around the desk and picked up one of the markers.

"So, first-"

3. Go for it! Make sure it's bombastic with a capital B!

Furina tugged on your sleeve, rambling about how much you were going to love her surprise. Her last surprise had been filling your classroom with balloons and streamers for your birthday. You appreciated the thought, but you did not appreciate how much cleaning you did. You could only guess the surprise this time. The megaphone and poster in her hand only concerned you more.

She dragged you to the field near the back of the school where you spotted a big group of students surrounding someone else. From the white hair you spotted, you assumed it was Neuvillette.

"Alright, formation!" Furina shouted into her megaphone. The group did some sort of messy dance routine before moving aside to show Neuvillette. You watched with confusion (as well as concern when you saw some of them bump into each other).

Furina turned to you and moved you closer to Neuvillette, whose face was just as confused as yours. Once you were face to face with him, she began speaking.

"Alrighty, now, you must be wondering why I've brought the two of you here today."

"Furina-"

"I'm here to convince you guys that you are perfect for one another and why you should get marri- I mean, go on a date!"

Furina cleared her throat, holding out her hand to one of the students nearby. The student handed her a large bouquet of flowers, which she handed to Neuvillette.

"First, he got you flowers! I mean, who doesn't appreciate flowers? If you guys date, you get flowers every day. I mean, that's pretty great, right?"

"Well-"

"Second," Furina motioned for a different student to hand her what seemed to be a photo album, "He takes the best photos! If you date, then, you never have to worry about a bad photo ever again."

"Third," This time Furina did not ask for anything. She simply moved to Neuvillette to hold up his arm, "He's very strong! He can carry you anywhere, whenever. He's got muscles."

"Fourth." A small tissue box was given to Furina. "He has feelings! He can be emotional, so you never have to worry about expressing yourself!"

"And fifth, and last reason." There was no object. Furina simply put herself next to Neuvillette with a smile.

"You get to have the bestest, smartest, most amazing daughter ever, me!" Furina let out a proud huff. "I think I'm the best reason, so please-"

Furina motioned for the other students to surround the three of you and throw some confetti at you. Furina unfolded the poster she had been holding and showed it to you. It read:

'Please, please, please, take my dad as your boyfriend! Also, please get married soon!'

Neuvillette sighed as he picked out some confetti out of his hair. He carefully moved Furina, so he could step towards you.

He extended the bouquet of flowers to you and said,

"I apologize for all of this, but if you would allow me, I would love to take you out this evening."

You chuckled and with a smile, took the flowers from him. You nodded to which he smiled and Furina cheered.

hey yall :D since it's disability pride month and i am a Local Disabled TM i wanted to spotlight the d&d 5e homebrew i've done featuring disability mechanics!! they're all FREE / PWYW and available on itch!!

autism & adhd mechanics

traits for mechanically emphasizing a character's autism and/or adhd!! there's 11 traits total, with 5 shared between them, and 3 each that are specific to autism and adhd. the traits are beneficial, detrimental, and a mix of both, intended for 1-3 to be chosen for a single character. includes traits like sensory processing disorder, time blindness, and rejection sensitive dysphoria

service monsters

service animals - monster edition! you choose a customizable base for your monster, a statblock, and origin, and then get to choose your service type: guiding, hearing, mobility, medical alert, trauma, schizophrenia, or autism! each service type has a unique monster with different abilities, strengths, and magic. service monsters can't be used in combat but they have resistance to all damage and go to a pocket dimension upon dropping to 0hp

trauma mechanics

10 traits for panic disorder, ptsd, and cptsd, with an included definitions section and suggestions for trait application. includes mechanics for triggers, as well as for traits like panic attacks, insomnia, hypervigilance, and trust issues. the traits include different outcomes for meeting the dc or failing by different margins, and the aftereffects of failing a save, as well as ways that allies can help

my inspiration for making these was that i'm an autistic, mentally ill, traumatized disabled person who's been an active and leading disability advocate for the last 9 years and a disability-specialist social worker for 2.5 of those. definitely still room for improvement with my homebrew but i think there always will be when trying to put the incredibly varied human experience of disability into a crunchy numbers&rules format :o)

The Ultra Stage 3 English subtitles for DVD

(musical 2 subtitles are here)

Here are the English subtitles for the DVD of the third stage musical of My Hero Academia: "The “Ultra” Stage Symbol of Peace" and it covers the forest training arc and Kamino (chapter 70 to 95). The Japanese title is: 「僕のヒーローアカデミア」The “Ultra" Stage 平和の象徴.

The subtitles are in .ass formats and were synced using Aegisub.

Musical3_MP4 is for the main show in disc 1. Instead, Musical3_PanoramicMP4 is for the panoramic camera view of disc 2. (I am still syncing this version!)

These subtitles are synced with the officially released dvd but can be used only after transforming the dvd (which has multiple vobs files) into a video file. This is the main dvd (non panoramic) version, panoramic version will be added soon!

In order, this is what you need to do to fully enjoy the musical with subtitles:

1) Buy the dvds: where to buy the dvds

2) Transform the dvd into mp4 format + add subtitles: how to transform your dvd into a video file and how to add the subtitles to the dvd - guide

Family Formation - T W E N T Y

A/N: To the nonnie who requested this I just wanna say ily sm. count this as a stand alone and a sequel to primal !!

The car pulled into the driveway of the school as Gojo, Geto and Shoko were sitting outside eating lunch, awaiting their classmate’s return from what was meant to be a standard, in-and-out mission. You were already an hour late, but that didn’t concern any of them. You were almost as strong as the boys, and it was only a Grade 3.

However, when the car pulled up, screeching into the parking bay and skidding to a stop with the driver lurching out of the seat and pulling open the back door – shouting for Shoko, three hearts climbed into three throats.

They all stood and raced over to the open car door, expecting the sight of blood, broken limbs and a mangled you – and what they found shocked them even more. Satoru’s face had paled and his speed to the car could have won a record. Now would have been a great time to tease Satoru about his obvious feelings for you, but the other two were just as worried.

You, curled up, sleeping peacefully. Satoru noticed you had your hand tucked under your chin with your jacket acting as a blanket, the exact way you usually slept.

“Ieiri-san! Please! Help!” The driver said, flustered.

“All this fuss to wake her up? Jesus, I know she’s bitchy in the morning, but this seems –” Shoko begins, rolling her eyes as she ducks in to shake her best friend awake.

“She won’t! I can’t! She will not wake up! I’ve tried everything.” The man was shaking.

Sure enough, as Shoko poked your face and tried to rouse you, you didn’t move a muscle. There was no blood, no visible injuries – the driver said you hadn’t reported any injuries to him as you got into the car, you just fell asleep. However, he did mention, in between mumbles, the words ‘special grade’, which made Geto spin on his heel.

“What do you mean special grade? This mission was Y/N’s solo mission to exorcise a grade 3?” His eyes narrowed.

“It was a special grade, exceptionally powerful – it was meant to be grade 3. The information must have been wrong.” He babbled.

Even Satoru and Suguru weren’t sent on solo missions for special grades yet – they were only second years. Satoru’s brain was spinning and spinning like a spinning top, and he couldn’t hear any more words.

“We need to get her into the med bay, Goj – Geto, can you carry her in?” Shoko says.

“I’ll take her.” Satoru pushes past but is quickly stopped by Shoko.

“No - you’re shaking like a leaf, Geto will carry her.” Shoko knew that Satoru’s feelings for you were sending him into a panic, Geto at least had some physical stability.

So Suguru swoops you into his arms (Satoru hates the sight) and begins following Shoko to the infirmary – Satoru beside him, eyes never leaving your frame.

As he leaves you on Shoko’s medical bed, Geto grabs Gojo’s shoulder and ushers him outside.

“C’mon, man, let’s let Shoko work. She’ll be okay for a minute.” The curse manipulator wraps an arm around his best friend’s shoulders and guides him outside.

Or attempts to.

“I’m not leaving her.” He says, with such finality in his usually jovial voice that his classmates don’t question him.

“You can stay, Gojo.” Shoko nods, secretly finding this all sweet.

After about 20 minutes of tests, vitals and physical checks. Shoko concludes that you are, truly, just fast asleep.

However, there is not an ounce of cursed energy left in your body.

At that moment, Yaga steps in.

“I knew you’d all be here. Joined at the hip, all four of you. Shoko, how is she?” He questions.

“She’s – literally sleeping.” She starts and fills in their teacher.

“Yaga – the driver said it was a Special Grade.” Geto asks.

“Yes. It was. What I’m about to say does not leave this room, is that understood?” His dark eyes serious as he leans on the desk near him.

They all nod.

“The mission was assigned to Y/N specially, saying that the curse was well suited to be exorcised by her with the nature, no pun intended, of her cursed technique. She was dispatched this morning, and according to what I’ve found it – it quickly became apparent that the curse was a special grade. The curse trapped her to prevent escape or contacting us for back up. She fought and fought, and eventually managed to defeat the curse, but only while using an extremely powerful Technique inherent to her bloodline. Sunburst, they call it. It takes the remainder of a sorcerer’s cursed energy and expels it from their body in a blast of golden light – evaporating whatever is in their path.” Yaga explains.

“Why was she there alone?” Gojo asks, through gritted teeth. It should have been him; he could have done it – or at least been there to take the brunt for you.

“I believe it was deliberate.” Yaga replies and three heads whip to look at him.

Geto seems to be the one it clicks with first.

“The higher ups.” Geto concludes.

Yaga just nods.

“I suspect this was a ploy from them to find out whether or not Y/N does indeed possess the Sunburst technique, it hasn’t been seen in 300 years, the last wielder was the same woman who wielded her nature spirit conjuring technique.”

Satoru doesn’t think he’s ever felt rage quite like this. An ugly, bubbling, white hot sensation snaking its way through his body, making his hands curl into fists at his sides. His silence is what alerts his teacher and classmates. Satoru is never silent.

The crazed look of murderous intent in his eyes sends a wave of fright into the hearts of the other three, they’ve never seen Satoru look like that.

He moves to stalk out the door, like a wolf hunting its prey. He’s the Gojo clan head, he’s got influence – maybe he can get them to lay off you, stop sending you to your death just because they’re scared of what you could be. Maybe, if he bides his time – if he grows and gets even stronger – he can kill them all. Him, Suguru, you – all of them.

A body gets in his way.

Suguru.

“You’ll only make it worse for her, Satoru. She needs you here, stay with her.”

And he listens. He’ll stay. He’ll always stay.

He’ll always stay for you.

He collapses into a chair beside you and completely gives up caring that there are others in the room as he takes your tiny hand in his and just lays his head beside you on the bed.

The hours blend into one another like paints on a palette as Satoru drifts in and out of sleep, maintaining his position beside you. He’s woken out of his daze by a flick on the forehead, courtesy of one Shoko Ieiri.

“I’ve figured out what’s going on. I rang her mom, who rang her grandma – and I talked to them and went over all of her charts. First of all, good luck to the higher ups because every single member of Y/N’s clan is on the warpath now. Second, it’s actually painfully simple what’s going on - I’m shocked I didn’t see it sooner.” She says, as she softly tucks a strand of hair behind your ear.

“You gonna tell us or just keep blabbering?” Suguru says.

“Fuck off Geto. But yes, I’ll tell you, but only if Satoru admits it.” She smirks.

“Admits what?” The boy in question retaliates.

“That you’re in love with her.”

Satoru blinks.

He’s – what?

A moment passes.

“Holy shit.” He screeches.

“Dude - didn’t you not know? Seriously?” Suguru laughs.

“No, I always react like this to everything! Of course, I didn’t know, Suguru!” Satoru hisses, blue eyes wide.

There’s a beat of silence.

“Whelp. No hiding it now. Yep - I’m in love with her and I’m gonna marry her and we’re gonna have a whole army of babies. Thanks guys!” Satoru smiles, shooting two thumbs up at his friends.

“You’re a fucking idiot, Satoru. What’s up with her, Sho?” Suguru rolls his eyes.

“She’s hibernating,” Shoko shrugs.

“What? Like – a bear?” Suguru asks.

“Shoko, I hate to break it to you, but I don’t know if you’ve noticed but Y/N isn’t a bear.” Satoru adds.

“Jesus you’re both idiots. But yeah – like a bear. Her sunburst technique uses the remainder of her cursed energy. Now Suguru, you’re a curse manipulator, Satoru you have the six eyes and limitless – what do people call Y/N?” She explains, as if explaining math to a 6-year-old.

“The Dryad.” Suguru says, with his hand up like he’s in class.

“Yeah – her clan are meant to be descendants of nature spirits, really ancient ones. Her whole technique is based around nature, yeah? So, when she’s out of cursed energy or her body or spirit is completely exhausted – her body turns to a recharging state.” The brunette girl says as she combs your long H/C hair and settles it into a loose braid.

“So… like a phone? When you use all the battery and then plug it in to charge and it takes a few minutes to turn back on?” Satoru puzzles, head cocked to the side like a curious puppy.

“N- actually, yeah. Good job, Gojo – you said something smart.” She pats his head, and he smiles, Suguru just laughing at the scene.

They all just sit as Shoko finishes your hair, then takes out a small pink bag from beside her – one the boys recognise as yours. A small tin is opened, and she dabs a finger into the creamy gel inside it and applies it to your lips, then takes out a tube and squirts some onto your face, rubbing it in gently.

“This bitch would kill me if she wakes up without her skincare done I swear.” Shoko giggles.

There’s a beat.

“How long?” Gojo asks, shoulders slumped. It had only been hours and he missed you already, your silly jokes and your enthusiasm for everything – his partner in chaos. Fuck, he really was in love with you.

“A few days, probably.” Shoko shrugs, she doesn’t seem worried – but Shoko never seems worried.

They sit and chat for a while, and then Shoko checks you one final time as her and Geto prepare to leave. Satoru stays put.

“C’mon, Satoru. It’s late.” Geto squeezes his best friend's shoulder.

“What? No. I’m staying with her. I’ll stay in the other hospital bed.” His eyes were steely. The other two knew there was no dissuading him, not when he decided he was doing something. Spoiled, maybe – In love with you, definitely.

The days went like that, Satoru would only leave to eat or bathe or train. Then he’d be with you, Suguru would be there 70% of the time too – his honorary baby sister wasn’t gonna wake up alone. Shoko would fuss over you, in a very Shoko-esque fashion of pretending to be calm.

Then on day three, you stirred – lips curving into a smile as you saw both of your hands were occupied on either side – Satoru’s fingers entwined with yours on your left and Suguru’s hands encasing yours on the other side. They were both asleep. Suguru had his head on the bed beside your legs and Satoru was snoozing on your shoulder. You let out a small laugh.

“Good morning, sleeping beauties.” You sang.

They both jolted up.

“You’re awake!”

“Don’t ever do that again, you had us worried sick!”

Satoru basically flung himself at you while Suguru pressed a kiss to the crown of your head, before grabbing Shoko.

When he left and it was just you and Satoru, you thought for a second maybe you’d died and gone to heaven because of this angel beside you – hair alight in the fluorescent gleam of the infirmary and a look in your eyes that you would have seen reflected in your own had their been a mirror. Pure, true love.

Still sleepy, you squeezed his hand.

“Hi, ‘toru.”

Your words were slurred with sleep but his heard had never swelled more than hearing this new nickname.

“Say that again.” He smirked.

“Hi Satoru?”

“No, say it how you said it first.”

“Hi, ‘toru.” You smiled, realising the smile on his face was from your impromptu nickname.

“There we go. If we’re doing new names, then you need one too.” His eyes lit up.

“What’s it gonna be then? Suguru already calls me lil’ lady.” You smile, rubbing your eyes free of sleep.

“Only thing it could be. So, how you feelin’, Princess?” His smile as he christens your new name would make your knees weak if you weren’t laying down. His princess. You liked that. It fed into your delusions that maybe, just maybe, he might be as in love with you as you are with him.

You let out a giggle and the flush of your cheeks send Satoru spiralling.

At that moment, the other two come back into the room.

“There’s my girl, how you feeling?” Shoko asks.

“Kinda stiff, but not too bad. What happened?” You ask, stretching your limbs which are heavy with sleep.

“After the special grade – a whole other issue, which Yaga and your mom are dealing with –” she rolls her eyes.

“Oh no.” You interject, your mom is gonna be pissed. You nearly pity the higher ups.

“That’s what I said. Your use of your trump card caused you to lose all cursed energy – and given the root of your technique, your body decided to hibernate.” She said, checking your vitals as she spoke.

“Oh – so like, a phone recharging?” You ask, and the other three descend into howls of laughter that your brain immediately saw the same correlation as Satoru.

12 Y E A R S L A T E R

The strong arms clad in white still held onto you with a vice like grip – the smaller hands, smelling of smoke were acting as the comfort, petting your head and shielding your eyes.

The sons shaking your body were enough to cause an earthquake if you hadn’t been so utterly exhausted already, nothing was registering.

There was only word thought, one word, one feeling circulating your body right now.

Satoru Satoru Satoru Satoru Satoru Satoru Satoru

You vaguely felt cold hands cup your cheeks and guiding your head to look at the so far nameless and faceless person.

Dark brown eyes stared back at you.

Shoko.

“He’s okay. Satoru is okay, Y/N. He’s fine. He’s alive. Don’t look at the screen, but I saw him heal - he’s alive.” Her own usually steady voice sounded breathless.

Satoru Satoru Satoru sa-

Alive.

You registered the words. You tried to turn your head to where the screens are but a larger hand keeps your head facing away. Big hands, soft, warm.

Kento?

No.

Dead.

Suguru?

No.

Dead.

You try to look up, and a face you know looks down at you.

Choso. Yuuji’s brother Choso. Safe.

You trust him. You trust Shoko. You sit there, you can’t move, imprisoned and most of your fight was gone. You couldn’t look. One of them would die.

Nobody wanted you to see that.

Your empty eyes and shallow breathing and shivering form would terrify onlookers, if they weren’t busy facing the screen.

Just as your body began to come down from its fight or flight reaction, it happened.

A gut wrenching, deep, blood curdling scream that shook the very foundations of the building once more.

The arms around you slackened and left altogether and you collapsed to the floor, your head following the bodies movement. It stopped and scooped a crumbled heap of pink into its arms.

Pink. Pink.

Yuuji?

No. No no no no no no no.

Your body knew first before your brain did, and the chorus of the incessant song began again with different lyrics.

Megumi megumi megumi megumi megumi my baby megumi megumi my baby meg

You scrambled to your feet and physical intuition took over and you just about made it to the door before your body froze and wouldn’t move no matter how much you fought.

‘Stop.’ That voice.

You could turn around, and what you saw felt like betrayal.

Inumaki.

Just as your body slackened as his words effect faded another pair of arms caught you. You knew this time who it was, Yuuta held you close to him. You fought and screamed and kicked and scratched to try and push your way out.

“Yuuta let me fucking go! Let me go! I have to – I have to get out! I have to get to them! Fuck Yuuta let me go, now!” You roared, but the figure didn’t budge. He could hold you himself, he’d gotten stronger over the last year, not that he needed it – your fights seemed fierce in your head but all ferocity had been expended in your earlier attempt to get to your husband. Hakari, Maki, Kusakabe and Choso were all trying (and failing) to restrain Yuuji.

The world was getting fuzzy.

You kept going, and struggling until he felt you slacken. Broken sobs. That’s all you had now. Just empty, hollow sobs.

It was haunting. He tried to comfort you, but what comfort could he be when he himself had no idea what happened.

That was, until the opposite door swung open.

Through the ringing of your ears, you didn’t hear the cacophony.

But you felt the hands.

The hands.

Your eyes dart up the arms, scars, scars?

Pale skin, trailing up to bloodied black fabric – shredded.

Pale neck, also bloodied.

Eyes. Crystal blue eyes. Those eyes.

Your whisper, unsure if this was a hallucination.

“‘Toru?” You reach fingers to his cheek.

“It’s me, Princess.” He smiles.

“Are you real, ‘toru?” Comes out in a breath.

“I’m real, ‘Princess. I’m here.” He presses his hands to your face, kneeling on the ground beside you.

You let out a wail, because he was here, and he was alive. Your beautiful boy. You run your hands all over his face, his blood mingling on your skin, and his neck and his arms – torn flesh freshly scarring. Scarred, bloodied, alive. You wail into his skin as your glassy eyes reach to meet his, and his smile is the last thing you see before it all goes dark.

Satoru feels you go limp in his arms, he doesn’t panic, your eyes are closed – he knows what’s happened. His pretty girl, so tired.

A dark-haired body is cradled across the room by his pink haired love, with his oldest surviving friend providing the best medical attention that can be found.

He lifted you into his arms, your tiny form nestled against his chest. He motioned for the other boy – another one reunited with his love, to do the same. You all needed rest.

The warmth of your temporary home enveloped the people who entered it. Touches of you, everywhere. Even a vase of what he know to be Tsumiki’s favourite flowers (daffodils) on the windowsill.

He separated from Yuuji and Shoko, and their bundle of limbs and blood and took you into one of the bedrooms, carefully laying your sleeping form into the bath, stripping your bloody clothes, covered in ashes away from your scratched skin. He hissed as the water touched some freshly healed wounds, as sat with your back between his legs, against his chest. He could have just wiped you down. It would have been easier. But he needed your closeness, even in your sleep. Your comfort, your heat, your scent – he needed it. Fighting your adopted son to kill the demon inside him would never be easy. He thinks how far you’ve come together, from your first hibernation when he refused to leave your side, to now.

The door swings open, and shameless as ever, Shoko walks in and without care for water or any of her usual exterior, wraps both him and you into her arms.

“Thank you, Satoru. Thank you for coming home.” She whispers. She then helps him clean your wounds, and assesses his scars as you both continue to soak. Shoko had delivered your son, there was no worry of lack of clothing here.

She then excused herself to return to the spare room, the other couple also resting there’s a mirror image. Both exhausted, one awake, one unconscious.

Satoru lays you in bed, wraps you in blankets and then kisses your head before leaving to go to the next room over. He had duties to attend to now, he needed to check on our boy.

You felt a crack of sunshine creeping through your eyelids and groaned a little at the brightness, you turn in your half-asleep state and your arm meets a solid plane. You jolt, remembering where you are, why you’re here and who this is.

He’s already looking at you.

Crystal blue eyes smiling down at you, and you are jolted twelve years into the past.

No words need to be said between you.

“Hi ‘toru.” You whisper.

“Hi princess.” He replies.

You lunge at him and wrap your arms around his neck, feeling every flex of every muscle and huff of every breath as you capture his lips in yours.

“I thought I’d lost you.” You croak, through fresh tears.

“Impossible, did you forget? I’m the strongest.” He winks, which makes you let out a breathy laugh.

You kiss and when you pull away you look him in the eyes.

“‘Toru. I’m scared to ask. Just please know, if – if you had to do it. I don’t blame you. Just, tell me the truth.” You whisper, voice broken.

He smiles at you; glad he’d sent the text to the other bedroom as he felt you stir.

“Come with me, Princess.” He says, guiding you to your feet.

You follow him along, coming to a stop at the next door over the hallway.

He puts his hand on the handle, and as he pushes, he leans down to you.

“Now, try not to smother the kid, sweet girl.” He lets out a laugh at this.

The door opens.

You nearly collapse again.

On the bed, awake with a book in his hand and almost a mummy with bandages around him, free hand entwined with the boy beside him – is your son.

You let out a sob and just sprint across the room, tossing yourself onto the bed with complete abandon, all cognitive thought flying out the window because your boy, you little boy was alive and well and Satoru fucking did it.

Arms wrap around you as a book fall to the floor and two baritone laughs echo out, one from the bed beside you and your son and the other from the doorway.

You pull away, tears cascading like Niagara Falls down your face, you clutch the boys' cheeks in your hands around examine him, still sobbing.

“I’m okay, mama.” Megumi’s hands grab your wrists to reassure you.

“Oh my baby boy, I didn’t know – oh god. My sweet boy. I should’ve never let you out of my sight. I’m so proud of you. My strong, amazing boy.” His head is pulled into you chest, and for once he doesn’t argue, just breathes in the scent of his mother, and the feel of her sweater on his battered skin.

“Thank you, mama. You and dad. You kept your promise. You came for me.” You suck in a breath, you’ve no idea how he heard your promise you and your love had made that night on the balcony to get your boy – but he did.

Yuuji goes to stand up to leave you two alone, but your hand reaches out like a cobra and with unnerving strength for someone your size you pull him down to join the cuddle pile.

“Satoru get your ass and all of them eyes over here.” You manage a laugh as you pull him to you.

He lets out a booming laugh and joins you all on the bed.

Farming Guide for SoS:AWL

Decided to make another save file for testing purposes. Mostly focusing on 1st year crops and fields and trying to see exactly how long certain crops needed to grow. I found out some nifty stuff! Please note that I might end up editing some things if I find better data.

The different soil qualities have NO EFFECT on crop quality/speed

I believe it's something that only determines which crops can go in whichever field (all 1st year crops can grow in any soil quality, I think hybrids need good quality and up)

Fertilizer lasts for 10 hours

I believe the countdown starts once the animation is finished

4 bags of Fertilizer for A rank 8 bags of fertilizer for S rank (crops only)

This is at least consistent with tomatoes and watermelons. I tried logging how many bags of fertilizer for tree crops but I got through about 40 on the free apple tree and didn't get A rank by Fall Yr1 so I'm a liiiitle intimidated.

Crops only advance to different stages at 12:00pm and 12:00am

From what I can tell the game checks at 12pm and 12am if the crop has been in the ground/watered for enough time to grow to the next stage. I'm going to refer to these 12 hour chunks as "cycles." Due to this particular system, even if you plant crops a few hours apart, they will naturally sync up to the closest cycle. For example:

It's Spring 1 6:00am. You plant a Tomato seed. The game checks at Spring 1 12:00pm if the seed has been planted/ watered for long enough. 6 hours is not enough for the Tomato seed to progress to the next stage so it stays in the "planted" growth stage. The next time the game checks is Spring 2 12:00am. The Tomato seed has been planted/ watered for 18 hours, which is enough for it to progress to the next growth stage

Water lasts ~ 21 and 1/2 hours (from "just watered" to "bone dry" )

Haven't fully tested if the different water amounts impact growing time. If they are kept bone dry they won't progress to the next stage even if the plant goes through multiple 12 hour cycles. There's four levels of watered:

Dark Brown -> Brown (Takes around 6 hours and 45 minutes) -> Light brown (Takes around 5 hours and 30 minutes) -> Tan (Takes around 8 hours and 15 minutes)

Crop growth (Spring)

Tomato

Seed: 10 hours (1.75 hours water) (1 cycle)

Sprout: 24 (9.5~10 hours watered) (2 cycle)

Small trellis: 24 hours (2 cycles)

Big trellis: 24 hours (2 cycles)

Flower: 24 hours (2 cycles)

Green Tomatoes: 24 hours (2 cycles)

Harvestable

Total Time: 5.5 days (11 cycles)

A HELPFULL GUIDE TO THE RAMPAGE FROM EXILE TRIBE BY CHU-CHU

Hi Guys! I see that there are many new Rampage fans - Ravers - among us and I would like to introduce the members to you. Other than formal group information, some of it will be my own opinions. You can easily find other official informations about the group on the web. Rather, I want to share with you how I see each member, what impression they made on me, and what I liked or found interesting about them. So please keep in mind that these are my opinions. And of course, I'm not a very old fan either. There may be things I don't know or misunderstand. You can share with me what you want to add or correct 💜

The Rampage

A Japanese dance & vocal boy group formed and managed by LDH JAPAN.

16 members: 3 vocalists and 13 performers.

They made their major debut on January 25, 2017 with the single “Lightning”.

Fandom name: Ravers ( RAmpage loVERS)

Formation: September 12, 2014

Debut: January 25, 2017

Genres: J-pop, hip hop, dance pop

Leaders: Likiya and Zin

16 Members: Likiya, Zin, Riku, Kenta, Rui, Yamasho, Kazuma, Hokuto, Iwasho, Shohei, Itsuki,Kaisei, Makoto, Ryu, Takahide and Takuma

And yes they have a hip-hop sub-unit : Ma55ive the Rampage (Likiya, Kenta,Yamasho, Shohei, Takahide)

I also didn’t know this part;

At the beginning it was unclear how many and which candidates would be chosen for the group's final line-up, the members later described the time as a desperate, harsh and stressful "survival situation". According to Kawamura Kazuma, the three vocalists were especially tense and taking the situation very seriously, thinking that one of them was going to be cut, due to the fact that LDH only had a two-vocalist system for all of their boy groups at that point.

But luckily they were all chosen :’)

However, while they were training for their debut in the public eye, the members later revealed that the group had been struggling behind the scenes and actually went on a hiatus the year after they were formed until their debut. Several members mentioned that they considered quitting during that time as it was mentally and physically difficult.Also Fujiwara Itsuki revealed that the members had also been working as staffs of the company behind the scenes in that time period, for example as tour staff for senior groups, or in Fujiwara's case, as staff of EXPG schools.

June 16 had been chosen as "RAVERS DAY". This specific date was selected because it is the only month out of the year that does not have a member's birthday, and because the number "16" is important to the group :D

During the first five years, all members of the group lived together in a dormitory.There were four rooms, and four members lived in each room, sharing bunk beds. Each room also had a room manager.

-I don't plan to mention TV series, movies, awards, songs, albums or tours. I get most of the information from Exile Tribe Wiki, you can read more there :’)

HELLO & WELCOME ♡ to an all inclusive giffing guide, which includes: - vapousynth installation on windows / mac - how to source giffable material - resizing / deinterlacing / denoising / sharpening on VS - step by step breakdown of how to use VS - giffing after you've used VS - giffing using only photoshop - simple colouring guide - watermaking and blurring captions

( a better and updated version of the previous one )

GIFFING USING VS + PS

1. VAPOURSYNTH & ITS INSTALLATION

VS is free to download and use. it is truly an amazing tool which allows you to resize, denoise, sharpen your gifs all at once and save the output in gifs, frames , mp4 and mov.

You can install vapoursyth from here. The site has download software and installation guide for both MacOs and Windows. Please watch and read the installation guide thoroughly, it is a very well written one and if you follow along, installation will be done easily.

It is best to use a video with minimum resolution of 1080p but a good 720p would work sometimes. This is how gifs look after sharpening a normal 1080p video:

2. SOURCING GIFABLE MATERIAL

➞ You can start with downloading a 4K Video downloader. It will allow you to download clean and best available resolution videos from youtube. ➞ If you don't want to download a software, you can use screenrecording. - Windows : windows key + alt +R - MacOs: shift + cmnd + 5 ➞ .TS files - for seventeen .ts files, you can go to rosebay

3. TUMBLR SIZING

Tumblr has it own resizing rules so that your gifs aren't blurry after you've uploaded them. Keep this in mind when you're using VS resizing tool.

4. USING VAPORSYTNH

After you've installed the VS properly. You'll have a VS script shortcut on which you'll drop your video file for giffing. Once you drop your video file on the VS shortcut, a window like this will pop up:

After you've put your timestamps and gif duration, a resizer will open up in chrome ( or your default web) along with a VS Script Window (sometimes it’ll take a min to open).

GIF Size: WIDTH (left space) and HEIGHT (right space). Use the bottom left triangle to adjust you clip. Make sure 'Preprocessor' is set to 'None' and "debilinear'.

Use KNLM for denoising and FineSharp for sharpening by selecting them and ticking the small check box beside them. DONOT mess with the denoise and sharpening cursor on the resizer tab, we'll adjust setting on the VS Script.

There are CCs who use BM3D for denoising but it never worked for me. Always gave me an error. KNLM has worked without an error for years for me.

NOW, there are CCs who like to set frame per second ( qtgmc) on the resizer itself but qtgmc is designed to work with interlaced video. Don’t waste your time with fancams, it won’t do shit.

[ Interlaced content: live performances, variety shows. Typical formats: .ts/.tp/.m2ts Progressive content: fancams, vlive/instagram videos, some variety shows (basically 1080p/720p/480p/…, anything with a p. Typical formats: .mp4/.avi ]

Copy whatever code that comes on the top right.

YOUR VS SCRIPT:

First, remove the # on line 9 to increase your cache size so that your VS doesn't slow down or crash. It is already removed in mine, but you'll have to remove the # on the start of line 9.

Remove everything from line 17 till before "video = core.fmtc.bitdepth(video, bits =16)" and paste the code you copied from the resizer on line 17.

After you've pasted the code, we put in our denoise and sharpen settings by changing these things. denoise: 2, 6, 4 , 2 finesharp: 2

Now, Encoding aka Saving the output. Script > Encode Video and another window will pop up which allows you to select in which way you want to save your ouput.

I would highly suggest using the PNG sequence because it is easily editable and is saved in hd from. GIF output can often be dithered.

Ensure that header in in Y4M mode

Click on Start to start your encoding process. Don't close any of the window tabs before the encoding is completed.

Your output will be saved under "D:\VapourSynth64Portable(200722)\gifs\output".

Before you start encoding another batch of frames or a gif, please cut and paste the previous output in another folder because each new batch of output gets saved in the same folder with the same name, thus, automatically replacing the files.

after you’re done with accessing your output PNGs, close all the windows and repeat the same for a new set of PNGs for another gif.

TRIMMING GIFS

If your saving as PNG sequence, you can simply trim your gif by removing the unwanted frames!

If you're saving as a GIF output, after loading your gif and converting it into a smart object, you can cut it using the 'scissors' button on the timeline. Place the cursor thing from where you want to cut the gif from and press the scissors button. It will split the gif in two. Select the unwanted one and press delete.

REMOVING FLASES FROM GIFS

To remove flashes in gifs in a simple and easy way is to save them as a PNG sequence. With that you can clearly see which frame has a flash and simply delete that before loading in photoshop as stack.

5. LOADING THE GIFS IN PHOTOSHOP

Firstly, turn on your timeline mode. WIndow > Timeline

To LOAD GIF FILE IN PS FOR COLOURING File > Open > Select GIF > Enter ( a normal gif output will have a 0.02 FPS delay )

(if you want to sharpen or add any effects to the gif then:) - Click the small button on the left bottom of the timeline to convert into into video timeline.

Select all frames on your right and convert them into a Smart Object (select all > right click > covert to smart object)

Add whatever filters you want.

Add your colouring and save.

TO SAVE AKA EXPORT GIF

File > Export > Save to WEB

6. LOADING PNG SEQUENCE FRAMES FOR GIFFING

File > Scripts > Load into Stack > Browse Browse will open your File Manager. Select the frames you want to be loaded as a stack. Let them load and click OK.

After PS is done loading your frames, Follow these steps:

Click create frame animation. It’s show only one frame so you have to click this ≡ symbol on the top right of the timeline.

Then click Create Frames from layers and it’ll make all frames.

Then click ≡ again and click “reverse frames” because ps loads stacked frames in reverse so you have to un-reverse it.

4. Most importantly, we need to set frames per second because we didn't set anything on the resizer. Frames per second can make a huge difference in how fast or slow you want your gif to be. 0.05 FPS is just my preferred setting.

To input your desired FPS settings, select all frame from the timeline, right click on any frame > Other > Input your desired setting. ( anything above 0.08 will make the gif too slow )

5. Click on 'Create Video Timeline' to turn this into a video timeline. (bottom left of timeline)

6. Then select all your layers from the side panel and convert it into a smart object so that you can sharpen it and add other filters.

7. Add your adjustment layers for colouring and save it!! Saving process as same as before. (File > Export > Save to WEB)

GIFFING USING ONLY PHOTOSHOP

If you don't want to go through hassle of installing and using vapoursynth, you can use this photoshop only method. You can simply cut the video and load them as frames.

File > Import > Video Frames to Layers

A window like this will pop up:

Use the triangle cursors to set the start and end of your clip. Make sure Make frame Animation is check. Press OK.

IMP: After you frames have loaded, you'll see the frames have loaded at a 0.04FPS. You can change it according to your preference but the speed is different (slower) for these gifs even if they're both at 0.05fps, that is because the number of frames is different than number of frames from a VS png sequence for the same clip.

You can adjust the fps the same way mentioned above.

You can see the difference even with the same FPS settings. The frames in the second gif are VS generated whereas the first one is PS generated.

After setting you desired FPS, click on the Make Video frame animation button at the bottom left on the Timeline tab,, Select all frames/ layers on the right and convert them into a SmartObject.

Now comes the main part, Resizing the gif according to tumblr. For this, Image > Canvas Size. Input your desired dimentions and press OK.

Then, Click of CTRL + T (Free Transform) and adjust the gif along the canvas. like this:

Press Enter. You gif is set. all you need to do is, add your sharpening (filters > smart sharpen).

BLURRING CAPTIONS IN GIFS

For this you only need a gif in a Smart Object, Marquee Tool and Gaussian Blur.

Marquee Tool is the small dotted rectangle tool. Click on it and then make your selection around the caption by clicking and dragging your cursor.

Add to selection (to the normal selection) ( best for multiple captions, it lets you select in multiple places at once) Example:

after selection, go to Filters > Blur > Gaussian Blue > 3.0

IMP: If you want to add Blur using marquee tool on a smart object that already has a smart sharpen filter (or any filter) on then you need to convert that smart object into a smart object again.

after you've added your colouring adjustment layers, save your gif. File > Export > Save for Web

WATERMARK

BASIC COLOURING

Start off Curves. Click and drag the curves from the middle to upwards. This will increase the brightness .

For skin, we begin with Selective colours. Messing with Reds and Yellows, give the skin more even saturation. You can accentuate blacks and increase brightness + contrast too.

NOTE: There are significant errors in Ed Chang's translation (& possibly in Aegis High's & Volcanic's, which worked off of Chang's text), the biggest of which is the infamous "Johnny Sfondi" last name mistranslation. Character Designer Issue 1. 2003 (キャラクタデザイナー ISSUE.1 2003年秋) - Has SUPER early concept art for a lot of characters in it, including concept art for Baiken when she was initially planned to be male. - lesbiangiratina is currently scanning this; Sol Radguy translation of the GG pages is in progress.

The EU special edition release of GG Accent Core Plus. Came with what's likely to be an official English translation of the 10th Memorial Book OR a book called The Lost Archive, which seems to include artwork for Overture but additional information is unknown. Which book it came with depended on which version of the SE was bought. These were limited to 200 copies (100 each) and are very expensive (>us$450). (thanks to Renexuz & Tillman for this info)

Arc System Works 25th Anniversary Memorial Booklet - A Japan-exclusive limited-edition artbook that was available at the Arc System Works Festival 2013 to commemorate the company's twenty-fifth anniversary.

Guilty Gear 2 Overture Secret Gig & Secret Gig Neo - Two different booklets given out at Tokyo Game Show (2006?) that have some Overture art in them that wasn't included in the GG2Overture Material Collection art book, mostly of Valentine and Chimaki. Neo has art by guest artists, including a Valentine body pillow... Neo also seems to be the rarer of the two, but both are pretty hard to find.

Manga:

A Beginner’s Guide to Tokusatsu

Hey, I know some of you are probably wondering about all these hero shows I’m constantly posting about. Maybe you want to try watching them too, but don’t know where to start? Well, look no further. I’m here to go over some accessible, and legal, means of checking out some of my favorite things!

for the OTHER means, you’ll have to DM me or send me an ask. I’m not getting my favorite sites shut down. You know the drill.

This guide will mainly focus on the big 3 Toku franchises, Toei’s Kamen Rider and Super Sentai as well as Tsuburaya’s Ultraman.

What Is Tokusatsu?

Tokusatsu is a genre of Japanese shows and movies that literally translates to “Special Effects”. Usually using a combination of monster or hero suits, practical effects like explosions, and light CGI.

That’s a REALLY wide net, so we’re just gonna focus on 3 shows today.

Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, and Ultraman. Thanks to @urotandersentai for drawing this neat little guide to the Visual Design of each of these 3 shows.

With that out of the way, let’s look at some individual seasons of these shows. Each one has a link to where you can watch it!

Please remember that at the end of the day, the best way to pick a show to watch is “Whatever looks coolest to you”. As such, I’ve included pictures!!!

Super Sentai

You might be saying, “This looks like Power Rangers!” And you’d be right!

Super Sentai, created by Shotaro Ishinomori and produced by Toei Productions, is kinda like Power Rangers’ Dad. PR has been using suits and even fight footage from Super Sentai to tell its own stories for 30 years. All this time, though, Sentai has been creating lovable and memorable casts of colorful heroes.

Generally, Super Sentai is about a team of heroes in colorful costumes that fight monsters every week to protect people.

There’s tons of shows in this series that are available FOR FREE.

CHOUJIN SENTAI JETMAN (1991)

The Earth is under siege from the Dimensional War Party Vyram. A special squadron is selected for an experiment to turn them into Super Humans with the powers of Birds, the Birdman Squadron Jetman. Vyram interferes with the experiment and kills all but one of the Jetman recruits. Instead, civilians are transformed and tasked with defending the Earth. The surviving recruit, Ryu Tendo, must convince 4 normal people with drastically different backgrounds to fight with him.

Jetman has the typical monster of the week format for Super Sentai, but when the team isn’t battling monsters, there’s some serious drama going on. The five of them are all drastically different individuals. It can make it hard to work as a team. Especially when it comes Black Condor. Dude’s a loose canon and an absolute bastard of a man.

KYORYU SENTAI ZYURANGER (1992)

“From hundreds of millions of years ago, in the age of the dinosaurs, five warriors revive in the present time!”

When the Evil Witch Bandora awakens from her slumber, intent on terrorizing the Children of Earth, Five warriors from Dinosaur Times are unsealed to undo her schemes!

This one is where the suits for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers came from, which might tempt you to watch it first. I kinda recommend against that, though. It’s a fine show but I personally found it a bit boring. The characterization of the main cast didn’t stick out as much compared to other Sentai.

GOSEI SENTAI DAIRANGER (1993)

I haven’t seen this one, but it’s focused on martial arts and one of their mechs is a cool dragon? so uhhh? Check them out? Their theme song fucks

NINJA SENTAI KAKURANGER (1994)

Ok listen I didn’t watch this one either. HOWEVER, I know that it’s about the descendants of 5 legendary ninja who have been fighting yokai for 400 years.

CHOURIKI SENTAI OHRANGER (1995)

This is the last sentai in the “I didn’t watch it” category. uhhh, watch it if the suits look cool. Sorry.

GEKISOU SENTAI CARRANGER (1996)

Five Mechanics use the power of Car Magic to protect the earth from the Universal Reckless Driving Tribe and teach children about Traffic Safety. This one’s a tad bit goofier compared to some of the others, but it’s a good time.

Also There’s a Yoda.

DENJI SENTAI MEGARANGER (1997)

Five High School Students are friends and pals! Together they investigate the mysterious goings on of a technologically advanced evil empire. They literally surf the net in order to bring peace to their city and the world!

SEIJUU SENTAI GINGAMAN (1998)

The warriors of Ginga Forest, the Gingamen, have protected nature for 132 Generations. This series follows the 133rd Generation of Gingamen, who battle alongside Starbeasts to stop the resurrection of the Demon Beast Ditanix!

KYUKYU SENTAI GOGOFIVE (1999)

This time, the rangers are an experienced team of rescue workers given super human power! They fight back Literal Demons From Hell that endanger the public. There’s a lot of focus specifically on rescuing civilians in this one, so if you’re an especially big fan of watching heroes... SAVE people, this is a great choice.

MIRAI SENTAI TIMERANGER (2000)

In the 30th Century, a gang of super criminals escapes to the year 2000. They are tracked down by the Future Sentai Timeranger, agents of the Time Defense Force. There, they encounter the Great(s) Grandfather of their departed leader and must convince him to fight alongside them for the sake of humanity.

HYAKUJU SENTAI GAORANGER (2001)

Veterinarian Kakeru Shishi can hear the hearts of every animal! He swiftly becomes enraptured in the adventures of the Gaorangers, who battle living embodiment of pollution. Also they live on a flying turtle! How cool is that?

NINPUU SENTAI HURRICANNEGER (2002)

What if there was a polycule of ninjas SO BAD at being Ninjas, they showed up to Ninja Class Late and were the only survivors of an attack on their school? These guys are the silliest little slackers, but they’ve got hearts of gold. Check them out? For me? :)

KAMEN RIDER

If Super Sentai is Power Rangers’ Dad, Kamen Rider is Power Rangers’ Uncle.

Kamen Rider was ALSO created by Shotaro Ishinomori.

Usually focused in on a smaller cast of heroes. A common theme in Rider is that the heroes are created by their villains and choose to rebel against them for the greater good, or will use the villain’s own powers against them.

Most Riders have a signature attack where they leap into the air and do a flying kick. These get INCREDIBLY flashy over the years.

Unfortunately, there’s a lot less Kamen Rider legally available than there are of the other two shows here. Don’t fret, it’s Easy Enough To Find Anyway.

As for the shows I can link you to, there’s

KAMEN RIDER (1971)

This is the original series.

Takeshi Hongo is an augmented human being created by the evil organization Shocker. Escaping before his brainwashing can be completed, battles for humanity’s freedom as Kamen Rider.

Being such an old show, the effects can be dated and cheesy. It’s a bit of an acquired taste, but if you stick with it, I’m sure you’ll love it. You can watch most of the show in almost any order. The only really confusing part is that eventually, Hongo tags out with fellow escaped cyborg Ichimonji Hayato as Kamen Rider. (This was due to a real world injury to Hongo’s actor during filming. Don’t worry, he’s still kicking and he comes back later in the show!)

It’s also the longest Kamen Rider show, so I don’t fault you if you decide not to watch ALL of it. Even I haven’t yet.

KAMEN RIDER KUUGA (2000)

Kuuga was the first season of Rider after about a 5 year break on TV. It’s something of a return to form.

It follows Yusuke Godai, a world traveler with 2000 skills, visiting his home town for the first time in years. He finds himself in the middle of an ancient civilization’s ritualistic murder game. Donning the mantle of Kuuga, Godai fights to protect the smiles of the city. He has a wonderful supporting cast around him including Detective Ichijou, who he goes on to share a rather homoerotic bond with.

Kuuga was my first Rider Series and to this day, it represents the Bread and Butter of Kamen Rider to me. This one’s a bit of a slow-paced Drama, but its focus is on what it means to help others. Every episode, I felt like I was actively being encouraged to be a better person. Godai’s got this infectious positivity that can’t help but make you grin.

KAMEN RIDER RYUKI (2002)

Ryuki takes a rather different direction from the other shows on this list. Instead of being about a single hero battling monsters, it’s about Plucky Young Journalist Shinji Kido being wrapped up in an all-out war between Kamen Riders. Donning the mask of Ryuki, he seeks to put an end to the bloodshed. The other Kamen Riders aren’t nearly as cooperative, though.

Don’t think that this plot means these characters don’t get tons of humanizing moments though. They’re all delightful to watch in action and you’ll end up truly questioning who will win? Is it possible to end the Riders’ battle? Will Shinji have to take a life after all?

I cannot recommend Ryuki enough. A lot of the Rider series from the early 2000s are Dramas that feature super heroes and Ryuki takes that drama up to a 10. (Plus, if you wanna ask where to find it, there’s plentiful side content for this show.)

KAMEN RIDER ZERO-ONE (2019)

In the far-flung year of 2019, Hiden Intelligence has revolutionized AI technology. The company manufactures Robot Assistants called Humagears. People in all walks of life and profession benefit from their aid. Unfortunately, something is causing Humagears to go berserk and attack humans.

With the death of Hiden Intelligence’s president, Failed Comedian Aruto Hiden inherits the company. He’s given the Zero-One Driver, which allows him to fight the corrupted Humagears as Kamen Rider Zero-One. With this new power in hand, Aruto seeks a way forward where Humankind and AI can exist in harmony.

Come to think of it, this one’s kinda topical. “AI” is a subject we really aren’t gonna be getting rid of any time soon. This show is one of the more recent rider productions you can find legally and it SHOWS. Every suit is sleek and clean, the visuals are striking and flashy. If nothing else, Zero-One LOOKS incredible.

KAMEN RIDER GEATS (2022)

Kamen Riders compete in a game called the Desire Grand Prix. By fighting monsters and saving people for points, the winner can have their greatest desire granted. Ukiyo Ace, the titular Kamen Rider Geats, looks to unravel the mysteries behind the Grand Prix and reunite with his long-lost mother.

Things get a bit more complicated than that, but I think you should see it for yourself. I can’t recommend Geats enough. its visual style is a direct evolution of Zero One’s sleekness and flashiness. It’s main 4 characters are some of my favorites in recent years.

SHIN KAMEN RIDER (2023) (Paid)

Wait, that sounds really familiar. That’s because this is the latest in a series of Tokusatsu Reimaginings by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi. This is a new take on the story of Kamen Rider 1971, modernized complete with sleeker suits and stunning music all wrapped up in a 2-hour movie. It also has plenty of Easter Eggs for those of us who are fans of the 1971 series or the Manga it’s based on!

Be warned, this one’s gorier than the other stuff on the list. It’s mostly exaggerated blood splatters, though. I hate that kind of stuff and I’m able to rewatch this movie.

KAMEN RIDER AMAZONS (2016) (Paid)

Amazons is another adult reimagining of a classic Kamen Rider show, but it’s so far removed you don’t really need to know much about the original to enjoy it.

Amazons follows a group of exterminators who have been tasked with eradicating escaped cannibalistic experiments called, well, Amazons. The catch is that they work together with 2 Amazons, Momoru the Mole Amazon, and Haruka, the titular Kamen Rider Amazons. Both of them are tasked with asking themselves ethical questions. Is it so wrong for Amazons to exist? Is it possible to avoid eating people? If it isn’t, then is it WRONG to eat people to survive?

ULTRAMAN

Ok, look, I’m gonna have to make a separate post covering all the free Ultraman stuff there is. Theres SO MUCH OF IT available that I don’t know where to start. We’re about to hit the image limit. If that post is done, it will be linked HERE.

But for a basic idea, there’s tons of stuff on Tubi and the official Ultraman Youtube Channel posts new episodes of the currently airing show.

Since I've been talking about it so much I thought I should make my own post, for people that might be curious, on how to modhack/homebrew your 3DS system!

EDITED ON 3/4/2023- Some information has changed since I made this post! All the old information will be crossed off (but not removed) and the new information amended in its place. Please reblog this version!

This process is extremely safe nowadays and it's essentially impossible to brick a system using the guide that I'll be linking- since you kind of have to be going out of your way to brick a system as long as you're using common sense and not going out of your way to try things you don't know how to do.

3DS Hacks Guide- This is the guide I have used multiple times with complete success and relative ease. It is also the only guide I recommend using. With this guide, your best judgement, and patience, you will unlock your system and provide yourself the tools needed to further mod and homebrew your 3DS, download games and applications without the use of the eShop, and even download and create custom themes.

You'll need a few things for this process:

-A working DS system with no prior firmware/homebrew ware installed, preferably, and a computer you can connect an SD card to. This process works with any system in the 3DS line and, once finished, will allow you to download applications from past systems such as Pictochat and Flipnote Studio as well as a vast collection of proper games and games from select systems playable through Virtual Console. You will need to do some fiddling with the files on your SD card, so a computer is strictly necessary.

-An SD card with at least 2 GB free. This is the space you will need to store the files for the firmware and associated applications. All files can be transferred wholesale from one SD card to another, so if you begin the process with a low storage card and find the need for a larger one later, this won't be an issue. HOWEVER, any card you transfer data to will, ideally, have to be first inserted into a 3DS in order to format it properly for use. This is true for any SD card that you use in relation to the 3DS, so if you are using a fresh card you will have to insert it into your 3DS for proper formatting. (For reference, the format name is FAT32, and you can check your card's format when inserted in a computer using the 'Properties' option)

-A working connection to the internet and the eShop. The latter is not strictly necessary if you already have a copy of Pokemon Picross and the latest system version (11.15.0, You can check this in system settings on the bottom right corner of the top screen). Technically speaking, using Pokemon Picross is not the only option, but it does provide the easiest route to modding- which is the main reason I'd recommend modding before the eShop closes in May 2023. Edited 3/4/23: As of writing this a new method has been developed due to the closing of the eShop that makes the older method using Pokemon Picross obsolete. This is extremely good news! Even if you forget or see this post (and others irt the subject) after May 2023, you can still accomplish this process!

That's it! The entire thing will only take an hour, maximum, but can take less time depending on load times and your personal pace. I would recommend not rushing the process. Although it is difficult for it to go catastrophically wrong, it's still a hassle to fix mistakes and it is best to double check if you're uncertain and generally taking your time.

A few other things I've found that come in handy once your system is unlocked:

hShop- A one stop shop for official games and romhacks of games, as well as all the virtual console applications, DSiWare, official themes, and unofficial virtual console games (plus some extras) from every region the 3DS was released in. After using the guide provided above, your system will no longer be region locked so go nuts! Downloads can be done using a QR code download over an internet connection or by downloading files and installing them manually (a process the site explains and one that will feel easy to accomplish once you've gone through the process of hacking) Edited 3/4/23: hShop itself no longer hosts unofficial content outside of a few translations. That said, there are numerous sites you can acquire the roms from and applications to convert those roms into playable files for the 3DS, and hShop links to a site called Myrient where you can download the files of pretty much every game ever from every console ever. Not all of these can be played on 3DS, but it's cool that they're there :]

Theme Plaza- Custom themes created by users around the world. Tens of thousands of themes to choose from, with no limit to how many you can download. As with hShop files, these can be downloaded via QR code or manual download (manual downloading elaborated on here)

CFW Tips- A general masterlist of some things to do with your new firmware. Ranging from as simple as themes and games as mentioned above to customizing your cheats and hacks for games to information on how to copy a physical game cartridge to your system's storage to customizing your experience using the system itself!

The Nintendo eShop is set to close in May of 2023. Don't get left hanging if you still have a 3DS console you love and hope to use for years to come. Hacking your system is low risk and opens up a realm of possibilities even past access to the apps and games Nintendo will be cutting off in less than a year. Hack your 3DS, commit some piracy, and have fun!

A Guide to Tagging on Tumblr: Types of Tags

This was meant to be part 3 of my Tumblr guide for Twitter refugees series, but I figured old Tumblr users could benefit from it as well. I’m also writing this for myself because even after years on this site, there’s still so much I could learn to tagging.

Types of Tags by Purpose

General (for global categorization)

Communal (for identifying with a community)

Considerate (for other users’ safety)

Descriptive (for describing how the post is formatted)

Promotional (i.e. tag tracking)

Systematic (for blog-level organization)

Fun (your little side comments)

Above are categories I’ve come up with after looking through the tags on my own post, and I think they should cover all the tags mainly used on Tumblr. If you think there should be another category up there, just share it in the notes.

Before I explain what each of those types are, here’s a heads-up that most of my examples would be tags used in fandom spaces. After all, this is a multi-fandom blog.

General

General tags are also what I would call Topic tags. They make your post easier for your target audience to find. Like, if you post something about a certain topic, then a #topic name would be appropriate.

Example: Posts about the anime Blue Lock would be tagged with #blue lock.

Topic names can even be abbreviated to make it faster to type. Mob Psycho 100 can be #mp100. Archive of our Own is usually tagged as just #ao3. Blue Lock can be just #bllk (the actual acronym should be #bl, but people are cowards asfhddgfzh).

General tags also include sub-topics.

Example: If you’re posting specifically about the Blue Lock manga and not the anime, then you may tag it with #blue lock manga.

Sub-topic tags can also work as Considerate tags. People may be interested in posts under the parent topic but would like to avoid the sub-topic. Don’t want to intentionally spoil people about a certain media? Tag it with #media title spoilers.

Example: #mp100 spoilers, #little mushroom spoilers, #blue lock spoilers

Extra example: If you post x reader fanfics for a certain media, then you may must tag it with #media title x reader.

[Don’t wanna sound like a tyrant on this blue site, but for the love of god please include a general tag for your x reader fics to make them easier to filter out. Some people (me) don’t want to read them at all, and it’s tiring to come up with all #character name x reader variations out there. I end up just automatically blocking those who don’t use general tags the moment I come across their fic.]

Examples of some non-fandom General tags:

Communal

These are tags used to identify yourself as part of a certain community here on Tumblr. Such tags are often suffixed by “blr.”

Examples:

#bookblr

#writeblr

#studyblr

#artblr

#birblr

There are no hard rules, but these -blr communities often contain specific kind of posts in the tag. For example, in #studyblr, you would find a lot of photos of aesthetic notes and people’s desks. If tagging with a -blr tag, check out the community first to see what kind of posts fit under the tag.

Considerate

Considerate tags are the most important. Primarily, these tags contain the trigger/content warnings for your post. I’m not gonna include a list of all possible triggers on this post though coz that would be quite long. You can just look that up on your own.

From observation, warning tags affix a tw or cw to the base tag to differentiate them from neutral discussions of said tag.

Example: A post tagged with #depression may be an informational post containing tips on how to manage one’s depression. A post tagged with #tw depression or #tw: depression, however, may contain extremely depressing rants that could negatively affect others’ moods.

It’s different for posts that may be harmful to epileptic people, though. If your post contains flashing gifs and the like, tag it with #flashing and NOT #tw epilepsy or just #epilepsy. A more in-depth explanation as to why can be read here.

You may have also recently seen the #unreality tag in Goncharov posts. I just learned about this tag myself, so I cannot explain it well. Here’s an old post by @ whethervane though that explains it:

an unreality warning is a warning that something (media, discussion, etc.) will deal with themes of unreality and false reality—which can be very stressful and triggering for people who’ve gone through feelings of unreality or disassociation before.

Another kind of Considerate tag would be one used in fandom spaces, especially in big fandoms. These are what I would call anti tags, and they’re used to contain fandom discourse or prevent fandoms from becoming toxic spaces.

If you spout hate about a certain character, do not tag your post with #character name. Instead, prefix your tag with the word “anti.”

Example: If you hate Mu Qing from Tian Guan Ci Fu for whatever reason, tag your hate post with #anti mu qing.

Believe it or not, regardless of how hateful you think that guy is, some people in the fandom actually like him (me, for one) and would be upset at seeing your hate posts while browsing under the #mu qing tag.

Moreover, anti tags are not just for characters. They can also apply to ships you hate.

Examples: #anti mileven if you don’t like the Mike x Eleven ship from Stranger Things. #anti byler if you don’t like the Mike/Will ship.

I see a lot of people censoring anti tags (e.g. #anti mil*ven, #anti milkvan, etc.), but I think such tags would be easier to filter out if they’re just spelled completely.

Descriptive

Descriptive tags describe how the post is formatted. In a way, they also work as Considerate tags, as they allow people to filter out posts that may be too stressful/painful for them to read or look at.

Most common example would be #long post, which is used for posts that are, well, very long. I reckon such a tag became necessary because in the past, Tumblr didn’t have an option to truncate long posts on the dashboard. It was all up to the original poster if they’d be kind enough to cut their posts under a Read More/Keep Reading block. Scrolling past a long post was hell, especially for those on mobile. The color of the sky post was quite notorious for this.

Another example would be tags informing users on whether images in the post contain an alt text (aka image description/image ID): #image id, #image described

Or, if the images don’t have an ID: #undescribed, #no image id, #no id, #no id in alt text.

Other Descriptive tags:

#caps lock

#large text

#small text

#colored text

#eye strain

#bright colors

#flashing

#fast gif

#transcribed (for audio/video posts including a transcription)

#unmute (tells the viewer of a post to turn on the sound of a video)

Promotional

These are tags that are tracked by other blogs and often use the name of the blog that tracks them. By adding Promotional tags on your posts, you are guaranteed a reblog from the blog tracking the tag.

Examples:

@ bluelocksource tracks the #bluelocksource and #bluelockedit tags

@ anisource tracks #anisource

@ dailyanime tracks #dailyanime

Systematic

Tags are a great way to organize your blog. Since Tumblr is a reblogging site, people often use tags to differentiate their original posts from reblogs. Some would tag their originals with something like #my post or #mine. Another trend is to use #your-url.txt.

I tag original posts on this blog and across my side blogs as #lznk. It's from the consonants of my url, but I also chose it because it's unique throughout Tumblr. Whenever I want to view my posts across all my blogs in one place, I just use the dashboard search. Nobody uses the #lznk tag aside me, so all posts that come up would be mine. Hopefully it stays that way...

And from your own originals, you can categorize it even further: #my art, #my edits, #my writing, #my cats, etc.

Of course, you can also categorize reblogs. Some people add #reblog or #rb. If you blog about a certain topic and would like to post/reblog something unrelated to that topic, you may add a #not topic tag. The popular @ one-time-i-dreamt blog uses the tag #not a dream.

Fun

I don’t really have to explain this, do I? Fun tags are basically your little side comments/footnotes. They are things you wanna say but don’t really want to be too out there.

I'm not gonna include examples of this, but I’d like to talk about the mentions of “prev” in Fun tags.

Prev stands for the user you reblogged a post from—the previous person, so to speak. Some people just prefer to speak to someone in the tags instead of saying it loudly in a reblog; hence, the need to say “prev.”

“Prev” is also used when one is copying a person’s tags [on the mobile app]. To give credit to the person who came up with the tags, you may add something like #<- prev’s tags (the arrow would be pointing to the copied tags).
