Kid, Killer, and Law Friendship HCs
Rules Word Count: 1.0k Spoilers: Wano
Tumblr media
Kid
Kid is hard to get close to, but once it happens, you've got a friend for life
If he catches anyone messing with you in any way, he'll beat the absolute shit out of them
He's ridiculously protective in that way, especially after what happened with Killer in Wano, he's gonna make sure none of his other friends experience pain or humiliation without him intervening
Despite what his reputation suggests, he's fairly decent at comforting people in his own special way.
He'll hand you a bottle of bourbon and the weapon of your choice, and the two of you will go blow off some steam in the area nearest to you.
If you ever asked him to build you something, he'd reluctantly go and do it. Even if he muttered a few curses under his breath as he did it, he'd secretly be really happy you asked him. He takes great pride in what he does.
If you're friends with him, it'd almost be expected of you to be a part of his little crime sprees. Killer is a good accomplice on his own, but imagine having two accomplices. The three of you would be unstoppable.
He'd almost be magnetized to you, following you around wherever you go. He really likes being around people he trusts, and you happen to be one of them. Even if neither of you say anything.
He might yell at you sometimes, but he doesn't mean it in a mean way. It's kinda like his love language. He gets loud to show he cares about you. It's another one of the weird quirks he shares with people he likes.
Arm wrestles anyone??
I could see them being one of his favorite past times.
Kid is really open-minded. You could bring up almost anything and he wouldn't judge you for liking or hating whatever that thing might be.
He wouldn't mind helping you put on makeup, he actually really likes doing it for his pals.
If you manage to get him to open up to you about his emotions and how he feels, just know you're at the very peak of affinity with the redhead.
Just you, him, and Killer, dressing horrendously and causing problems.
Killer
If you're friends with Kid, you're friends with Killer. You either get both of them or none of them.
He's so thankful you're here, he desperately needs someone to help out with watching Kid
Do you like cooking? He likes cooking. Maybe you could do it with him? There are a lot of people to feed and he'd really appreciate the help.
His way of comforting people is WAYY different from Kids. Some might even say more humane.
He's more of a hugger in these situations. Not much of a talker but he can comfort you physically.
He and Kid are horrible to have as enemies, but if you somehow manage to become friends with them, they'll be the most loyal friends you've ever met. Whatever you need, Killer is there to help you out.
You two are the therapy friends for the crew.
He's really good at calming people down, so if you're ever mad, stressed, or upset in any way, it's probably best to go to him instead of Kid.
He's really knowledgeable about random things within the One Piece world and will be very internally excited if you ever wanted to sit and hear him ramble.
He likes to check in on you and the other members of the crew as often as he can. You've all been through a lot together and he likes to make sure you're all good.
He has a great memory and hardly ever forgets important dates. So if no one else shows up for your birthday or whatever niche date you might find important, just know Killer would be there.
He really likes doing things for others. It wouldn't be much of a surprise if you woke up one day to breakfast already made, or errands you were meaning to do already done.
Killer has such a great adoration for graffiti art and likes to go out with you to spray abandoned houses or broken walls with paint. He likes the artistic expression that graffiti holds.
Law
He's really big on quality time so he'll frequently invite you to sit with him in his office or out on the dock depending on if you're underwater or not.
He wouldn't mind it if you rambled on about something, in fact, he'd almost encourage you to do so.
He'd constantly ask for your feedback on a lot of his plans or thoughts he has.
The absolute dryest sense of humor. All. The. Time.
He'll try to solve just about all of your problems. Your noticing you have slow reflexes? Try this. Coffee's giving you headaches? Let him try making a pot. Something about your eye is bugging you? Let him take a look.
I hope you like cheap doctor visits, cause this guy will gladly treat you for free.
Sure, he's normally a private guy, but he'd be so honest with you. If you ask, he'll tell you. You're probably the only person who's seen him smile, or laugh for that matter.
He'd let you draw on his arm with a pen while he worked.
He's pretty strange himself, so if you had any out-of-the-ordinary hobbies, he wouldn't be the one to judge.
He wouldn't ever admit it in front of the Strawhats, but he really does like to explore, especially if it's just the two of you.
There's just something about wandering a new area with someone he finds endearing that's just so pleasant to him.
He loves to have mini-debates with you. Something about his thoughts being questioned makes him fall into a welcomed rabbit hole of new ideas and stronger plans.
Your lawyer in times of trouble.
Most nights it'll be you, Law, and the rest of the crew, sitting around below deck and playing whatever board games y'all got on you at the moment. Chess, Monopoly, Uno. Sometimes you guys'll even do puzzles.

“Okay, okay, okay,” Penguin ushered his hands in a swatting motion downwards, his lips curling into a broad smile, “Me next, me next.”
All sat at the dining bench, food trays laying scattered and emptied at the edge of the lengthy metal table, the Heart-Pirates gathered on the pews and sat swapping ridiculous jokes all in the hopes of getting a rise out of their Captain: Trafalgar D Water-Law.
It was no easy feat: gaining one of Law's very rare smiles. The entirety of the crew were dedicated to making the dark-haired man crack a small smirk, but the sought after grin would take more than a simple joke to break it into his lips.
“What did the Fishman say when he swam into a wall?” Penguin’s snicker made it all the more difficult for him to conclude the joke, but he teetered it off by clutching at his collar.
“What?” you asked in return, eyebrow arched and grin beginning to crack over your lips.
“Dam,” he squawked, his outrageous and overemphatic laugh was more contagious than the hilarity his joke managed to produce. Penguin snuck a glance over to his captain, noticing his frown and subtle click of his tongue was all Penguin's joke managed to invoke.
Shachi clapped a hand over Penguin’s shoulder, leaning forward and smiling over at you and Ikkaku across the table.
“What's red and bad for your teeth?” he did his best to stifle his growing smile by sucking in his bottom lip. The room shrugged, Ikkaku’s shoulder bumping your own from your position beside her.
“Candy?” Bepo offered with a single, fuzzy, pointed digit, his voice contemplative and reflective.
“A brick,” Shachi concluded, Penguin’s squawked laughter only growing in volume, much to the delight of your crewmates around you. Shachi snuck a subtle glance to his captain, Law's back now turned to face away as he rose to his feet - returning his tray to the kitchen bench.
“Oof, he's tough to crack today,” Ikkaku whispered through gritted teeth into your shoulder, “You reckon we should up the anti?”
“I don't see why not,” you confessed, lip down turned and eyes wide, “What have you got?” She cleared her throat, prompting the crew to bring her their undivided attention.
“Two guys walk into a bar,” she states in a loud and booming voice, prompting Law to halt in his tracks as his ears pricked up.
Ikkaku smirked, crossing her arms and sucking in her bottom lip, her delivery concluded with, “The third guy ducks.”
Shachi and Penguin roared with their laughter, Bepo offering a polite chuckle as your giggle and shake of your head joined in with their chorus.
“Okay, that was bad,” you reached for her forearm and gave it a gentle squeeze, “But I am so glad you're actually participating this time.”
“Hey, you all involved Berry,” she clapped her hand over your own and braced herself against you, “Like I was gonna turn that offer down.” Law reached an inked finger over the counter, collecting a steel canister of water and returning to his space away from you all.
“What did the janitor say when he jumped out of the closet?” Bepo asked the crew, each member turning over to meet his beady, dark eyes with anticipation. Bepo held his paws beside his face, giving them a gentle shake as his brows upturned.
“Supplies!” he shrieked in glee. Shachi clapped his hand over Penguin's chest as Penguin threw his head back against Shachi’s shoulder: both laughs far more entertaining than the delivery of the Bepo’s joke. You snuck a glance at your captain, his cup raised to his lips and eyes remaining serious and unmoving.
“Fine,” you utter to yourself in a quiet whisper, cracking your neck within your palms and fingertips, “Have it your way.”
“Heart-Pirates,” you shot through the air, your manner scolding and serious, “You all know it is inappropriate to be making ‘dad jokes’ when none of us are actually fathers. We all know better than this.”
“What do you mean?” Bepo’s pale, bear face was knit with concern.
“Yeah, what's the big idea?” Penguin asked, his brows furrowed and defensive, “I thought we were all enjoying the dad humor. Why can't we make 'dad-jokes'?”
You remained serious, glaring at your crewmen as your eyes sparkled with delight and mischief.
“It’s a faux pa.”
The silence was broken by a sound none were anticipating. The hummed chuckle cut through the air like a slash of a blade, prompting all of you to snap your heads over to seek out the source.
Trafalgar D Water-Law and a smile painted on his lips, his eyes closed and his cup clutched firmly within his inked fingers. At that small chuckle, the crew laughed in glee: each of their melodical ulations harmonizing in unison.
“Hah! I got him!” You exclaimed, your joy evident in your eyes as you pointed your index finger at the crew around you, “Pay up, you lot.”
Slaps of Berry were scattered on the table in front of you, your subtle bounce on the balls of your feet and squeak of joy responding only had Law's smile rise further up his face.
You shot your captain a winning smile, offering him half of the Berry you collected from the crew. His palm upturned before him, a shake of his head was the refusal you needed to keep the hoard of wafer papers all to yourself.
“Alright, crew,” you offered to the Heart-Pirates around the table, “Next time we make port, drinks are on me!”
Cheers scattered amongst the crew, new joy found at the promise of fresh ales frothing at the brim. Law's eyes searched his crewmen, halting over each of them individually before his eyes settled on your form.
While his crew always managed to bring him support and had his back no matter what; the memory of his own ‘faux pa’ prompted Law to chuckle.
Donquixote Rosinante, Corazon, would be proud of the crew Law had surrounded himself with: his spectral laugh echoing in his mind as Law's smile only stretched wider.

Duty At The Expense Of Desire
Pairing: Trafalgar Law x reader
Content: mild cursing, lots of arguing between reader and Law, reader is nervous to be in a relationship, platonic luffy and reader <3, reader loves the strawhats a lot :)
Word Count: 2.2k
A/N: i spent so long just rereading this, i don’t know why but it feels kind of hard to understand? so i might revise it again in the future idk yet! i hope you enjoy reading, again this is very very loosely based on kate and anthony’s season in bridgerton! it was originally going to be 2 parts, but it’s looking like a full on series now… lmk if you want to be tagged in future parts! enjoy! <3
Part 2
Now that your feelings for Law have been revealed- not only to him but to yourself- you find the tension between the two of you is undeniably different from before.
What were once looks of contempt now harbor some quiet desire. Chances of accidentally brushing shoulders when you pass by each other are avoided altogether, for fear of fueling a fire neither of you know how to deal with. And any crass or biting quips are cut out of your minimal interactions completely, as you both now feel they come off as flirtatious rather than standoffish.
A few days have gone by since you confronted Law and he admitted his true feelings for you, all of which have been spent at sea. Nami says there won’t be an island to dock at for at least another three days, given how the weather is slowing the ship, so your crew’s only source of entertainment is each other.
“Y/n,” she asks while the two of you along with Robin relax on the deck, “what happened between you and Traffy the other day?”
Your breath hitches and you cough unnecessarily, already giving away your nervousness to the two very observant women. “Uh, not much.”
“Well, what did you two talk about? You didn’t come back to the table after, so I thought you must have stayed together…” Robin smiles softly, baiting you to reveal more.
“What? No, no, oh my god no… We just…”
Nami urges you on with a sing-song voice; “You just?”
“We… talked.”
“Talked about what?”
“I don’t know. Our issues with each other.”
“And you resolved them?”
“Come on, y/n, tell us what happened!”
“Nothing happened.”
You stand up then, too annoyed to continue talking to your friends. It’s not even their fault really; you would want to know what had gone on too, if the roles were reversed. Maybe you’re just annoyed with yourself for not being able to face your own feelings.
~
With no particular destination in mind, you find yourself in the Thousand Sunny’s library. When you open the door, you see Law browsing the selection of books your crew has accumulated throughout your travels. You shouldn’t be surprised to see him, but you are.
That’s what it must be; what other reason could there be for the sudden raving of your heart and your breath hitching? Any feelings you ever had for him were buried deep inside after last night; too deep to allow yourself to feel them to the extent you were currently, and so these must all be signs of surprise.
You steel yourself and walk in, letting the door close behind you. Law looks up to find out who the person intruding on his studying is, but his eyes are blown wide when he makes eye contact with you. Neither of you speaks as you turn away and cross the room in quick strides to another section of the library.
“Stupid Law,” you think as you try to calm your mind- an impossible task when he’s standing anywhere in the same room. “Stupid weather,” preventing you from getting to an island so you can get some damn space from him. “Stupid library, ” because of its shelves that make it all too easy and tempting to peak through and catch a glimpse of him.
Actually, maybe that’s not too risky of an idea. Cautiously, you bend down slightly and pretend to scan the titles on the shelf. You allow your eyes to slowly wander off the books until you can see Law by peering upwards. But low and behold, he’s staring right back at you.
You gasp and stand up straight, silently cursing your silly plan.
“Y/n.” He walks over to you, 2 books tucked under his arm. “l was under the impression you wanted me to keep your distance from me.”
“I do.”
“I find that hard to believe with the way you’ve been acting around me.”
“It’s just weird. You made me admit that I had feelings for you, and now things are weird.”
“I made you? You didn’t have to say anything, you could’ve rejected me and we both would’ve moved on.”
“I did reject you.”
“By telling me you feel the same? That’s some rejection.”
“You shouldn’t have said anything in the first place.”
“I had to, you told me that you thought I hated you.”
“But I didn’t make you say that you have feelings for me, and so now you’ve made it impossible to ignore.”
“Believe me, I tried to ignore it. To ignore you. It was pointless.”
“Then you weren’t trying hard enough. I could’ve gone a lifetime without bringing up the way I feel for you if it means my crew will be able to continue this alliance for our goals.”
“Don’t give me that shit, your captain made this alliance because he thinks we’re friends. You seriously think he had a goal in mind while doing so?”
With a roll of your eyes, you cross your arms over your chest. “Maybe not, but Luffy is the captain- I trust him, and so I follow him in any endeavor he believes in.”
“Well, I’m the captain of my own crew, and I believe that whatever we have going on is a little more than ally-ship.”
“Regardless of whatever is going on between us, is it really a smart idea to complicate such an important alliance?”
“…No. I suppose it’s not.”
“Then drop it-” You turn, ready to forget about this conversation and continue hiding your feelings away when he grabs your wrist.
“But they wouldn’t care, y/n, and you know that. Your crew thrives on-” he gestures vaguely with his free hand, “-friendship and rainbows and joy.”
Shaking off a smile, you bite back. “That might be true, but you know what’s even more important to my crew? Protecting each other. They wouldn’t like me being with you; even if we are temporary allies, you’re a Captain of another crew and one of the Supernovas. So don’t tell me what they would and wouldn’t be ok with.”
Law seems to think for a second before he releases your wrist. “Hmph.”
Finally, you take your leave to find somewhere- with no Law and no watchful friends- to just think.
~
You settle on the bow of the ship. If you had an ability like Luffy’s or any guarantee that you wouldn’t slip right off and into the sea, you would like to sit on the masthead of the Sunny. A clear, unobstructed view of the world ahead, and the breeze to keep the hair out your eyes could be so peaceful. But, this has some sort of charm to it as well; you do seem to love a challenge (even if it’s one as simple as having to lean over the railing of a ship to see the horizon).
With a cheerful call, the man you had just been thinking of joins you on the railing by the ship’s bow. Luffy speaks animatedly of his plans for all sorts of things, but during a lull in conversation, he asks you something unexpected.
“Do you love him?”
“What?”
“Traffy! Do you love him?”
“I…”
“You’ve said how much you hate him, but that just means your feelings for him are strong. So you love him, right?”
You’ve never been more bothered to hear Luffy say something so uncharacteristically observant.
“I love you guys.”
He hums. “But that doesn’t mean you can’t love other people, too.”
“…I won’t ever leave this crew, Luffy.”
“Of course you won’t!” He latches onto you in an iron-grip hug, and you smile ever so slightly. “But, y/n.”
“Yeah?”
He releases you and instead grabs your shoulders to talk to you face to face. His face seems especially serious- the same way it does when he makes a bold declaration of his dreams or beliefs. “If you love someone, you tell them. You don’t hide it, because you never know when they could be gone.”
Finally, your barely-there smile opens into a full grin. “When did you get to be so wise?”
Luffy shrugs. “Shanks told me that once, I just felt it made sense for you too.”
You and your captain stay there a while longer, giggling over this and that until the sun starts to set on the horizon.
“I'm gonna go sit on Sunny- you wanna come with me?”
Though you’d been fantasizing over what it would feel like up there just a few minutes ago, you shake your head. “No thanks. But, uh, Luffy?”
“Yeah?”
“Could you… not tell anyone about what we talked about?”
“Huh? Oh, yeah, for sure!”
You would come to regret being so vague with your captain, even if he does occasionally display astonishing emotional intelligence.
~
At dinner- where there’s always something going on- you make an effort to sit far from Law. Your attempt is in vain, however, as he ends up right across from you. Luffy sits to your left, and while he takes a small break from stuffing his mouth, he nudges you with his elbow.
Your eyes meet your captain’s as he winks at you, then looks over at Law, and back to you. You can practically see the gears turning in his head as he had some sort of… plan in the works. With a wide grin, he asks, “Soooo Y/n, when are you and Traffy going to get married?”
A moment of silence passes before laughter erupts around the table from everyone except you and “Traffy.” The latter covers his face with one hand and pinches the bridge of his nose while you look simply horrified.
What had happened to not speaking of your earlier conversation? Admittedly, you had spoken of several subjects after your discussion of your feelings for Law… and knowing Luffy, he could have mistaken your vow of silence to be for any one of those subjects.
Since you’re sure your captain didn’t mean to embarrass you with his straightforward view of relationships, you just shake your head and give a muttered response. “We- we’re not, um, going to….”
Law, on the other hand, appears too bothered to stick around and listen to any more jokes. He stands abruptly and disappears in a flash of blue light.
You stick around long enough to finish your plate, then thank Sanji and leave quietly. Some unknown force draws you to Law, when you see him in Nami’s little grove of orange trees. Cautiously, you approach him.
“…Law? I- I’m sorry about that. I don’t know why Luffy said that.”
“It was embarrassing.”
“Okay, Law, they were all just joking. And I can’t even really blame them, because this entire situation is pretty fucking ridiculous.”
“No, y/n, it’s embarrassing that everybody knows how I feel and that you feel the same, and they’re all happy with the idea of us together, but you still don’t want to be with me.”
“It’s not personal, you know that.”
“How can it not be personal?”
“Everything I do is for my crew. I have a duty to them, and not even you or my own feelings will get in the way of that.”
“Do you seriously still believe that they would care if we were together?”
You purse your lips.
“I took your word for it at first, because you know your own crew better than I do, but clearly they have very little regard for what we do. Now I am inclined to believe that you made it up when you said they wouldn’t like us being… being something. And as foolish as I feel after believing that ridiculous excuse, I still want you, y/n. Tell me you want me too.”
“How much?” You ask with a fierce look.
“How much what?”
“How much do you want me, Law? You keep talking about your feelings for me, but you haven’t even said what they are.”
Again, you seem to find any way to continue arguing with the man before you as a means of releasing pent-up feelings. Just kissing him might be easier, but also a whole lot more terrifying and uncertain.
“Desire, attraction, whatever you want to call it-“
“Well, I’m not going to put everything on the line for someone who is attracted to me.”
“It’s more than that, you know that-“
“You know what I think?”
“…What?”
“I think that you can’t even admit to yourself- let alone aloud- the extent of your feelings for me. You want me to say it first so that nothing bad will happen if you put yourself out there, and that’s not going to happen.”
“I-“ He starts to speak, but can’t think of a rebuttal. You have him pegged. “I may not know exactly what my feelings are yet, but I can feel them, y/n. You remain on my mind constantly- so if you want me to stop feeling for you, then you need to stop.”
“Oh, I need to stop?”
“Yes, you-“
“You’re the one constantly making me reconsider everything I tell myself. You are the one who needs to stop.”
“Before what? Before we give in to this… obvious desire, and put aside duties to do something for ourselves?”
Heavy breathing fills the silence. He always manages to rile you up, and you can’t stand it.
“You should go. No, in fact,” you raise your hands in a gesture of surrender, “I’ll go.”
Without giving him the chance to respond, you flee down the stairs to the main deck and through the doors to the cabin hall. All this back and forth with Law is giving you a headache.
You can’t deny it any longer though; now that your captain knows too, it’s like you’ve spoken it into permanent existence. You’re in love with Law, and there’s next to nothing stopping you from being with him in the way you truly desire. Not even your sense of duty.
You should never have counted on the Strawhats to hold you back from something- or someone you love.

The amount of faith Law has in Luffy is absolutely astounding like he’s out here making bets on his miracles and saying he’ll die with him—if that’s not a declaration of love I don’t know what is

The trees cried like they understood your pain. The leaves scattering from their branches but the tree itself never leaving, you were certain that if they could you would be rooted into the Sunny never setting foot off of it again. They wouldn’t even bat an eye at this idea.
The story was getting repetitive and you were simply so tired. Tired of it all. Questioning your sanity every night, wanting to trust but never knowing who was fully honest with you.
Going to Law and asking him a single thing about what Sanji just told you would be a dangerous mistake as of right now. You trusted Law but when you really sit with yourself— you trust no one in this world, you could only trust your own judgement.
Right then you decided what you were going to do, and you couldn’t fight the smile that spread across your face, along with the tears finally falling over your tear duck running a stream down your cheeks. Anyone passing by would see this as a mental break down. You probably looked like a lunatic although at this point nothing mattered.
You laughed to yourself, you’d been taking everything so seriously for a while now. This feeling you felt right now felt like freedom, and you were overjoyed knowing you finally made a decision for yourself.
You endured so much for so long, you were desperate for a break. This has turned into something unimaginable and as more of your story unravels you were bound to either completely shatter or, finally just up and go for it.
Pondering to yourself and the woman you’ve molded into these last few months it was hard to differentiate whether you grew or shrunk. Did this entire experience make you stronger? Was everything that transpired worth it? The heavy bags under your eyes and constant frown etched onto your face portrayed multiple things.
Your pain was ignored of course, and Law never did say anything if he noticed. It felt like your heart was being squeezed thinking about him, you were conflicted but only because you didn’t want to make the wrong decisions regarding him.
You wanted to laugh at the high standards you held him in. He was a stroke of color in your bleak life and he made you feel like everything was going to be alright no matter what.
So why is it that your soul is telling you that he is in some way lying or keeping a secret from you.
You shook your head violently and pushed off the tree heading back towards the capital. You had already made up your mind, there’s not going to be any changes… no matter what.
Walking through the streets seeing the joy of the children and the fear on the faces of adults was surreal- now that you were paying attention. The children being taught propaganda and the adults who knew and were forced to keep the truth hidden reminded you of yourself as well. You wanted to scream for them, let them know that they would be free of burden in less than a week but you kept silent.
You had bigger fish to fry and fortunately as irrational and weird the straw hat crew has become, you knew they would do good for this country so you needn’t worry.
You passed Sanji's booth again, Robin and Ussop had joined just as they did on screen and you hoped that you could pass through the crowd without notice. You were going back to Law's base, thankfully he wouldn't be there because Luffy was going to make his first mistake of letting his presence be known to the animal pirates.
This would give you more thinking time, you needed to think of how to approach Law. You didn't want him to think that he lost your trust or that you were going to leave his side anytime soon.
You had seen from your peripheral vision that Robin’s head snapped your way so you dunked down and bit trying to blend in with the crowd.
In Sanji's booth Robin was nibbling on her noodles getting ready to notify the boys that you had swiftly passed by without saying a word. They let her know that they were aware, you were hard to miss of course.
Sanji told them about the conversation you had earlier but kept bits and pieces to himself. He held back his facial expressions when Ussop all but leaped for joy thinking you would no longer be spending all your time with Law and his crew. Robin was gleeful as well but she knew that your relationship with Law wasn't shallow enough to be completely torn apart by the revelation of him reading One Piece.
Nevertheless, the Strawhats were all on the same page about keeping you here as a crew member, they also had unspoken personal agendas pertaining to you.
They were all too smart in different areas for their own good, that is the main reason they mesh well together. They were the ultimate crew in this universe and after reading the manga that brought their universe to life, inflated egos befall clouding even the most rational aboard the Thousand Sunny.
Law stomped his way back to his base after dealing with the obnoxious captain who blew their cover. Cursing to himself until he saw you sleeping soundly next to Bepo. His heart rate sped up, seeing you look so peaceful and calm made him forget his anger and worries.
The rest of his crew welcomed him and continued their conversations and he sat next to you leaning into your side. when you woke up he was going to tell you what he had held back for a while, of course, it wasn't completely intentional and he was prepared to take on your anger.
He stroked Bepo's fur thinking about the way you would most likely yell at him, scream, cry, or any other form of anger he would receive from you. He wanted to regret what he had done, but at the end of the day Law was still a pirate. Not even just a pirate he was Captain of a crew with twenty loyal crewmates, He was also very aware that by the end of wano he would have a bounty of three billion.
He couldn't feel completely remourseful for reading the manga and entering your world. As he ponders he realizes his best bet at not completely shattering the trust built between the two of you he would keep that last part to himself for a little longer.
He didn't do anything criminal when he visited your world, although you and anyone else would consider it an invasion of privacy due to him being in your home. He scoffed at himself, when has Trafalgar Law ever felt regret for gaining knowledge, and this was other worldly knowledge at that.
Your universe was up to date with Vega Punk's technology and brain, in all honesty he was overjoyed at the opportunity he had been given. His sorrowful thoughts were mainly because you were his friend and his newfound lover.
He knew you would question everything about your relationship with him and his crew but he was ready to fight for you. He was still going to get you home safe and sound and he was still in love with you.
You woke up to the smell of food, the crew was setting up the table and Bepo started shuffling beside you likely smelling the savory meal as well. You trudged your way to the table helping Shachi and Penguin with plates and napkins.
The room was lively as you all ate and laughed, you almost forgot what transpired earlier till you noticed Law was eeirly quiet next to you.
" You're quiet tonight, something happen?"
He shook his head not saying a word. You'd leave it alone, either he didn't want to talk about it or he was in the process of orchestrating a plan. You weren't going to press him for information, so you continued on enjoying your food and speaking to the rest of the crew.
When dinner was done you sat outside the base drinking in the clear sky filled with stars you weren't able to experience at home. Law joined you after a few minutes, neither of you knowing how to spark up a conversation. There was obvious unspoken tension from both sides, little did the both of you know it would be about the same situation.

A/N: I like this one a lot ☺️! I was thinking of doing a one shot in the future and calling it Romance Dawn. It would basically be how I originally wanted this story to go and more. I hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather, toodles <3

Big brother
─Luffy, Law & Kid x sister!reader (platonic)
─Summary: Some headcannons about Luffy, Law and Kid with a younger sister
─Warnings: none
Tumblr media
Luffy
He feels so special to be someone's older brother, he will be proud of each of the things you do, however silly, simple or even if they are poorly done, he will smile at you giving a thumbs up in approval.
Needless to say, he's pretty protective around you, like, he knows you're safe and you know how to fend for yourself, but he'll always be there to let others know that they'll have to deal with him if they do anything to you.
He doesn't really care who you decide to pair up with unless that person makes you cry.
Very, very clingy, he loves to sleep cuddling with you because he says you are a perfect pillow. Lots of unexpected hugs because it's always a good time for a hug.
There is no discussion, he will not let you stay on your home island, you are being part of his crew whether you like it or not, because he wants to live adventures by your side.
An accomplice in his food thefts directly or indirectly, he always gets you involved in his discussions with Nami, he uses you as carte blanche to get out of Nami's blows unscathed because she wouldn't hit you, she knew when you got into trouble and most of the time you were just dragged.
You got your first wanted poster (because of him) and he hung it next to his, Ace and Sabo's.
Tumblr media
Law
Well, you weren't really his biological sister, but he treated you like one, he met you after Corazon's death. You were only a few years younger than him but you helped him when he came to your island, he was a tough nut to crack, but he needed someone's help to survive and you opened the doors of your house to him, well, those of the orphanage.
He found himself more attached to you during those teenage years because you were the only person who took care of him when he passed out from exhaustion after so many hours studying medicine.
Then, years later, he asked you to be part of his crew, you had no connection to the island, so you accepted.
Now, he's not the cuddly type, you'll just get a hug from time to time, maybe when you're sick.
You don't get special treatment, at least not in the eyes of the crew, behind closed doors Law can be more open with you, be prepared for nights talking about his concerns.
Say goodbye to having some kind of simple and fleeting romance, this man will glare at anyone who seems to have the slightest interest in you, first of all he has to do his research on that person.
Very afraid of losing you, considering you family, he doesn't want you to suffer the same fate as Corazon, so the 'Doflamingo topic' is completely out of your hands.
He keeps you hidden from all danger so you won't get a bounty on your head, at least not so soon, the last thing he wants is unwanted attention towards you.
Tumblr media
Eustass Kid
Being related to Kid implies being related to Killer equally, the only difference is that you and Kid shared the same blood, but the three of you were basically raised together.
Unlike them, you weren't a fan of fights, but you had to get involved in them because of them, at least you learned how to punch.
Kid is a proud asshole and he can't let his image and ego get spoiled by someone weak, so put on a tough stance because even if you're not as brutal as them, you'll have to look it.
Facing the public, he is totally closed to any type of contact, the rude boys don't give hugs. You've had so many arguments with him because of it, sometimes you think he just doesn't love you because it's hard to show his love for you.
Killer always solves these fights between you two, he knows that you love each other but if you have something alike it's that you're just as stubborn, neither will give their arm to ask for an apology. He is the voice of reason for both of you.
Anyway, say goodbye to anyone who tries to conquer you, he will scratch out the eyes of anyone who wants to try to make a move with you, he is not going through those things, he knows how most relationships end and the least he needs is to see you cry for any useless bitch.
This leads to more fights because he's not even willing to negotiate if you can go out with someone he's been watching for a while for doing something suspicious.
The redheaded idiot cares about you, but none of that will come out, unless you're dying, because if he lives to see you dying he'll be on his knees crying like a fucking baby.

GN Reader X Law SFW
Tumblr media
You had been dating Law a little while, a few weeks and it had recently started to become serious which meant it was time for him to meet your brothers.
Not by blood, but the three men always acted like your older brothers, always being over protective and keeping an eye on you.
You hoped Law would do well, pass their critical judgment.
“So, anything I should know?” Law asked as you stood outside the apartment door, you looked at him for a moment, you didn’t think anything would prepare him for how the three were and you also didn’t want to scare him off.
“Nah, just take your shoes off when you get in,” You saw the puzzled look on his face when you nervously chuckled and fumbled with the keys.
Once inside you saw the three. Luffy was at the counter stuffing leftover pizza into his mouth while Sabo made himself tea in the kitchen area.
Ace was flopped on the couch, watching TV.
Law soon found all eyes on him, like he’d stepped foot into a raptor enclosure.
He kept his cool, he didn’t falter under the gazes of all three.
“Tra-guy!” Luffy yelled, spitting out pizza as he recognised Law.
Law winced and you could tell his balls jumped back inside his body at the shrill greeting from Luffy, seemed they already knew one another and that was going to be a story for another day. One huge wall at a time.
“Ace, Sabo, Luffy, this is my boyfriend, Law.” You introduced as you slipped off your shoes, watching Law do the same as he eyed up Luffy with an annoyed expression on his face. Oh yeah, he for sure knew Luffy.
In a blink of an eye Sabo and Ace descended on him. Both slapping a hand hard and firm on each shoulder, giving Law a scrutinizing gaze.
“How did ya both meet?” Ace started the interrogation, looking down his nose at Law, or trying to. Law was taller.
“We both go to the same coffee shop and got talking.” You explained.
“How long have you known each other?” Sabo asked, making sure Law could see all his scars  along his face and neck, trying to come across as intimidating but to his credit, Law held fast.
“Like two months?” You replied and looked from Ace to Sabo and back at Luffy who was still eating.
“Tra-guy is a good guy, he won’t do anything to them, you don’t need to worry!” Luffy stood up for Law, whose shoulders sagged when Sabo and Ace looked over at Luffy, processing what he’d said, backing off a little.
“Really?” Both asked and Luffy nodded, mouthful of food.
“Alright, Law,” Ace said, sniffing and backing down, folding his arms over his chest, still trying to size him up as Sabo also backed down “But if anything happens to kiddo here, we will be the first to know.” Ace added and Sabo nodded.
The killing intent behind the smiles that Ace and Sabo both plastered on their faces was enough to make Law agree to anything.
Once out the apartment Law sighed and looked at you.
“They were joking right?”
“Oh? Ace maybe, but not Sabo. My exe still doesn’t trust his breaks.” you said like it was nothing, taking his hand and pulling him down the hall.
“W-wait? What?”
“Don’t worry! Anyway, how do you know Luffy?” you simply got a groan in reply.

Hii! I loved the request of the kid with Law and if that's okay i would asks something similar!
Like the kid (it's okay if the gender is neutral) is really shy and has trust issues around the crew but when it comes to Bepo something changes and they feel more safe. So one day Law and the crew finds the kid sleeping on Bepo who's sleeping as well (i don't know if you ever saw the scene of totoro where the little girl sleeps on his belly, i thought something like that!)
ANON THAT'S SO CUTE PLEASE 🥺🥺🥺 a follow up/installment of [this]
[Heads up!: platonic/parental relationship, child!reader, Bepo looks so soft and warm pls]
Tumblr media
When it comes to taking care of a kid, Law is completely out of his depth. He's accustomed to the wants and needs of fellow adults, looking after his crewmates ㅡ a child is not in his area of expertise.
But he's trying for you, he really is ㅡ the unfortunate thing is that the rest of the Polar Tang are as inexperienced about taking care of a kid as he is.
At the very least there are dozens of eyes to keep watch over you despite the fact that you're a smart kid, if more than a little guarded. Understandably so, but it's been months with little progress in terms of trust from you.
So when the Polar Tang finally surfaces for both much needed sun and supplies, the general consensus is that a venture off of the submarine will be good for you.
But then they can't find you.
A problem to be certain given that the Polar Tang is only so big, but you're not in any of your usual places. Until at last, Clione finds you ㅡ and goes to tell the others where you are.
A handful simply sigh in relief that you haven't somehow managed to disappear completely, but then there are a few that go to see for themselves, including Law. (He just needs confirmation for himself, that's all.)
You're fast asleep, eyes shut and breathing steady ㅡ that isn't the outstanding thing about it. It's the fact that you're asleep on Bepo, who's also dozing.
Law isn't sure how comfortable the thick fabric of Bepo's jumpsuit is, but you look far from concerned, and the peace of your face makes him reluctant to wake you.
So he wakes Bepo instead. It takes the mink a second to rouse, stifling a yawn as he rubs at his eyes. "Captain?"
"Careful," Law intones, "or you'll wake your passenger."
Bepo blinks, confused ㅡ and then spots you. "Oh, right," he says, looking bashful. "They said they wanted a hug and I didn't want to say no, then they ended up falling asleep like that. Guess I did too. Do you want me to move them?"
Law studies your face, the relaxed expression ㅡ not a hint of wariness or hesitation that's been so often present. You look like you feel at peace, that you're safe.
Law reaches out to stroke the top of your head gently. "No," he answers, small smile tugging at his lips. "Let them sleep. Leaving the ship can wait."

CW: Mentions of death, tooth rotting fluff(?)
| Series | <<back next>>
✶⊶⊷⊶°.•☆•.° ✶⊶⊷⊶⊷❍⊶⊷⊶⊷✶ °.•☆•.° ⊶⊶⊷✶
- Everything was so dark. Dark and warm. Warm. Was he dead?
- He had to be. Yet, something wasn’t right. Something was moving beside him. It felt like scales.
- Scales. Smooth like a shield. As pretty as pearls in the moonlight.
- The sound of purring met his ears. His body felt so warm, cozy even. This- this had to be a dream!
- “Pppprrrrrr~ Pppprrrrr~”
- You were sleeping soundly, wings tucked against your side. The nights had become frigid, many lakes and rivers freezing over in such extreme temperatures. You were okay, your internal fire keeping you at the perfect temperature you liked it.
- You hadn’t eaten much, from the fish sunken to the bottom of frozen water, but that was also okay. You could tough it out for quite a while without a proper source of food.
- However, her nubby ears perked up at the feeling of shifting within one of your wings. Oh, had the yo- child awoken? He had!
- “H-huh? Where…where am I?”
- The poor human child was so lost. But what could you say. You’d grown weak for him.
- A forked tongue merely swiped at his head, his fluffy hair spiking up as he was covered with saliva. He sputtered in surprise, not expecting the sudden action.
- You didn’t know why you had returned. In fact, it seemed almost unnatural for you to have returned.
- Sensing the change in weather, you fled to another island with lesser snow. The lakes over there were still liquid, the fish swimming about and plentiful as the humans in that tiny town didn’t like traveling so far just for fish.
- Though, you still had the habit of fishing too much. During the weeks you stayed on that island, you pondered to yourself about the extra fish lying about. Your instincts told you to hunt.
- But why did you still hunt so much? There was extra fish just right there! Yet you kept diving into the water to retrieve more…almost like you were hunting for another.
- And then it hit you.
- You had earned the habit because of the child. The child you had left behind.
- You spent a few days, eating the fish and restraining from hunting anymore so as not to waste the fish.
- You knew how horrid the blizzard of Swallow island would be, but your nerves were itching to fly back to that tree. To perch and hang from that tree where he’d be sitting under. He’d stare at you all day, following you like a lost duckling.
- Like a lost youngling.
- Like you once did before ‘that’ time.
- Before you were the only dragon left in the Grand Line. In the Red Line. In the New World.
- But when you did return, you were horrified to have found the child sitting still, covered in snow, in that same spot he always had.
- This was your fault.
- You left the youngling behind. You were the one responsible…when had you considered him a youngling?
- Oh well, that didn’t matter now. You had to take care of him!
- It’s not- It’s not like you cared. It just because your habits were too strong to break, and all that fish would go to waste if someone didn’t eat it.
- The humans meant nothing to you!
- Ah, but, maybe this young- child, this young child could be an exception.
- It wasn’t like any of his kind took him in.
- “Why?”
- What?
- “Why did you…whe-cckh! Where were you?”
- Oh. Uh. You drowned out his question with your saliva, literally.
- Lapping at his face, he coughed as tried to retreat back under the safety of your wing. Then again. It was your wing.
- You easily tucked your head under your wing, following him to try and clean off the dirt and grimy stuff stuck to his head.
- “Ack- wai, pppbblltt! Hhhuu, gah! Stop, kkhhh, stoop! Pfft, pppbbfftt! H-haha!”
- Huh. His laughter sounded so different in comparison to his cries…was it weird you liked the difference? Like, your ears didn’t hurt! That’s why you liked his laughter. Your ears were spARed from his, uh, horrid cries.
- You’d hate it if you found him crying- BEACause of your ears! Your ears were sensitive.
- Ya.
- The youngling wouldn’t stop laughing, trying to get away from you cleaning his face. It was the least he could do! You always noted how dirty he was whenever he was extremely close to you.
- You were just doing this for yourself! The youngling could go clean himself in the lake when it…wasn’t…frozen over. Maybe he’d die from the cold like you’d seen others in the pas- NO you were doING THIS FOR YOURSELF.
- He was covered in drool, yet he was somehow cleaner than ever! His face didn’t feel dusty to the touch. But he did understand how cats felt when they were bathed. Aaand he also smelled like the Light Fury’s saliva now.
- He wasn’t sure that smell would wash out if he tried.
- “Gahk, ckh. Oookay, a-are we done now? Please? PleASE-“
- You stopped at his pleas, finding him with a strange expression on his face. It was like he was smiling…yet still so annoyed. Oh well. At least he was clean by your standards.
- You watch him crawl out from under your scaly wing, shaking his head like a dog. Your head flinched back, eyes closed as some of your slobber landed right back on your face.
- “hhCCCHHH!”
- “B-bless you?”
- The youngling looked amused. Confused, but amused. He tried wiping his face of what remained on his face, groaning at the feeling that just spread to his hands. You crooned back at his groaning, the youngling looking up at you before snickering.
- “Ay! This is your fault!”
- His voice sounded harsh, but there was not a single trace of animosity behind it. If anything, he was being playful with you.
- You just flopped over, gurgling as if you had been shot.
- “Wh-hey! Don’t you act like you didn’t do this! I smell like your breath!”
- Your ears flipped straight up, your electric blue eyes wide, as you stared straight at the youngling. You. were.
- Offended.
- How dare he. How dare this- this youngling! This chILD. How dARe he!
- The snow fell harshly, the villages outside buried under piles of frost. The night continued on.
- Human vs dragon.
- The two play fought in their cozy little den, hidden away in the cliff side.

Rosinante's Trip Down Under
Masterlist Here
Oh my goodness, Miss Vita! How gorgeous is it, though? Art by @rainnartt (CHECK OUT THEIR OTHER ART, IT'S AMAZING!!)
Synopsis: Modern AU, Rosinante visiting your hometown in Queensland Australia. He is overwhelmed by the cultural differences, but loves to learn the slang.
I did go a little crazy in the tags, definitely ran away with me a little here.
Could you imagine, though? As an Australian, I can confirm: if it looks like it can kill you, it can kill you. If it looks like it can’t kill you, it absolutely can kill you. Our poor, clumsy man never stood much of a chance, did he?
In this picture, he looks like could be in Bondi, the Gold Coast or Surfers Paradise by the looks of it. I am going to put him in the Queensland region for the sake of the plot. This is how I see it going.
Drabble Fic Word Count: 1,800+
Themes: rosinante x gn!reader, platonic fic, crack fic, modern au, reader is Australian, Rosinante is Spanish, Au he lives.

Taking your new friend Donquixote Rosinante to your favorite sights in Surfers Paradise. His eyes widen in wonder, staring at sights that come so naturally to you, but are so out of the norm for him. You are happy to play tourist in your hometown, marveling at the sights as he experiences them for the first time.
Outside of your local McDonalds and picking up a common comfort breakfast food for his adult adoptive son, who elected to remain back at home in the hotel as he adjusts to the time difference, Rosinante’s shriek prompted you to turn to meet him.
“What the hell is that?” he remarks, extending his pointer finger towards the large waste bin adjacent to the doorway.
“Oh, that’s a skip, Corazon. The red is for rubbish,” you continue, pointing at the other bin, “The yellow lid is for recyclables, and the green is for food and biodegradable-.”
“No! The thing with the massive beak!” he shrieks, watching as the dark-head bird pokes its head above the bin. The large hooked beak elevates a half-consumed cheeseburger before it gulps down the burger in a single motion.
“Oh!” you laugh at your blonde friend, clapping a hand over his shoulder, “That’s an ibis. We call them ‘bin chickens’ or ‘tip chooks’ depending on your region. They’re scavengers, they won’t hurt you.”
“A bin chicken, skip bin,” he hums, his brow furrowed in deep thought as he commits the name to memory, “And you call McDonalds ‘Macca’s’, right?”
“That’s right,” you hum your confirmation with a curt nod. He hums in response before ushering you along the pathway towards the hotel.
As you continue walking along the sandy coastline, you notice he’s halted outside a petrol station. A large truck is parked beside the building: checkered blue and white painted on it’s side and large font titled “POLICE” and “0.05: DRUGS”.
“Is this your local law enforcement?” he asks you, tilting his head to the side.
“Yeah, that’s our local booze bus parked next to a divvy van,” you nod in affirmation, “They do regular drug and alcohol testing for drivers to ensure their safety on the road. Weird that they’re outside of a servo, though. Usually they’re on the main roads.” He nods his head and hums.
“Booze bus. Divvy Van,” he looks over to the petrol station, arching his brow high, “Servo?”
“I know, it’s a lot,” you confirm with an apologetic smile, “I promise it gets easier to adapt to the slang the longer you practice.” He nods again.
Passing a local park with a children’s play area, you manage to see your friend David from work, his two children playing together on the looped climbing frames and plastic slide.
“Davo!” you call out to him, waving your unoccupied hand in front of you - considering the other contains a paper bag filled with the fruits of your labor.
“How the bloody hell are’ ya goin’, Darl’?!” his nasally voice cracked to you, “Who’s the fella ya got there with ya?” You smile at him, walking to embrace him.
“This is Rosinante Corazon, the friend I mentioned was visiting from Spain,” you informed him, “How’s the missus back at home? How’s the kids?”
“Mate! Howzit goin’?” he extended his hand out to Rosinante, who placed his hand within and gave it a gentle shake who mumbled a soft ‘pleased to meet you’ in response.
“Ah, and the ankle biters are doin’ great. Givin’ the missus a bit of a reprieve here at the park, tough gig bein’ an ambo driver.” He glanced over his shoulder at his children, ensuring they were safe now they’ve climbed to an elevated height.
“Oh I’m glad she’s managing to take a break. She’s a tough lady,” you nod to him, smiling over at the two children who wave at you while playing with a make-shift telescope.
“Well, I shouldn’t keep you,” he confesses, gesturing down to the brown bag clutched in your hands, “Don’t want that brekky gettin’ cold now, do we?” You laugh at him, waving him off before waving at his children.
Rosinante remained silent, only muttering a few words that stood out to him: “Darl’, fella, mate, missus, ankle biters, ambo driver, brekky,” on a perpetual loop.
“You okay there, Rosi?” you quirk up at him, a soft smile pulling at your cheeks.
“I’m alright, Darl,” he attempted, his voice falling to his nose and emulating the accent he heard moments prior, “Is that a common term of endearment here? ‘Darl’ and ‘mate’? How do you go with gender neutral titles?”
“Both of those titles can be used interchangeably, regardless of gender,” you inform him, “It all depends on context and the way you say it.” he hums again, nodding along and muttering several phrases he learnt. He reaches into the circular cup cardboard and pulls out his coffee and takes a small sip.
Your feet finally carry your way over to the lobby of the hotel where he was staying with Law, his body immediately halting in front of the surf, dive and ski shop. His head cocked to the side, staring at the large, rectangular basket outside the shop. You follow his line of sight, which remained locked on to a large, canvas sign attached to the basket.
“Ah,” you click your tongue, noticing they’re focussed on a common shoe worn in this area, “Do you and Law need a new pair of thongs? I know the bottoms melt a little when the bitumen gets a bit hot.”
“You want me and Law to wear what?” he turned towards you with his eyes wide and jaw dropped. It took a moment for you to understand the miscommunication, your eyes growing wide and your nervous laughter propelling your anxiety further.
“No, no, no, no, no!,” you managed to choke out, “No, we call ‘flip-flops’ ‘thongs’ here. Is that what had you a little confused? A basket full of shoes where you thought lingerie should be?” Rosinante laughed alongside you, shaking his head from side to side.
“You got me,” he chuckled, raising his coffee to his lips once more, “Our differences are quite vast, aren’t they?”
“I suppose they are,” you acknowledge with a shrug and a broad, tight-lipped smile. He hums once again, muttering several phrases as you step into the elevator.
Clicking the button to the appropriate floor, the doors open wide to reveal the carpeted corridor of the hotel room. You offer to hold the coffee tray in your unoccupied hand as Rosinante clumsily attempts to fish out his key-card from his pocket. He thanks you, his hand getting stuck in his pocket as he shimmies his shoulders to break it out.
Finally clutching the key card, he places it in the door and swings it wide to reveal Law sitting on the plush bench beside the large window. His left knee was bent, his right leg extended as he reclined against the window. His gray orbs draw away from watching the gentle crash of waves towards you both as you enter the suite.
Before you had a moment to greet the younger man, Rosinante’s broad grin and best nasally voice interrupted your train of thought. Rosinante gently took the brown paper bag from your hands and offered it to his son.
“Howzit goin’, Darl’! Brought you some Brekky from Maccas!” he walked forwards, thrusting the bag into Law’s hands, “Saw a bin chicken eating some scraps from the red skip, and passed a booze bus outside the servo on the way back.”
Law chose to remain silent, wordlessly taking the brown bag from Rosinante and maintaining unbreaking eye contact. Rosinante took that as his queue to continue relaying his adventure.
“Saw Davo being a good fella at the park with his ankle biters, his missus has been working hard as an ambo driver,” he continued, biting his lip as he attempted to relay the trip back to his absolutely unamused son, “Then we passed a shop on the way up. Was gonna get us a pair of matching thongs for the trip, but thought you would get embarrassed to be matching with your Dad.”
Law’s fingers stuttered their descent into the bag, choosing to take a lengthy breath instead.
“Dad?” Rosinante quirked his head up, turning to look at you over his shoulder. You were doing your best to stifle your laughter by clutching your lip in your palm, “Do you still call parents ‘mum’ and ‘dad’ here? Is there an Aussie term of endearment he could use for me instead?”
“‘Cunt’ comes to mind,” Law murmured, prompting Rosinante to snap his head back over to his son. His heart shattered as Law drew up a hashbrown and began nibbling at its golden exterior.
“L-Law-?” Rosi’s heartbreak was depicted in the quiver in his tone. You walk over to your friend’s side and offer him his forgotten coffee with a smile.
“-Rosinante,” you broke him away from his sorrow with a soft giggle, “‘Cunt’ is also a term of endearment here. Law and I had a little conversation about cultural clashes last night when we were playing cards. You fell asleep early, remember?”
“It is my favorite Australian term of endearment,” Law admitted with a soft hum, reaching up his outstretched hand to wordlessly ask for a coffee, “But your insults are far better. Quite original.”
“Okay, Champ,” you mock Law, passing him his cup of coffee, “Big words coming from a guy with a face like a smashed crab.”
“Coming from a Drongo with the personality of a dropped meat pie,” Law smirked in return, taking the cup from your hands. Your joint laughter ricocheted from the hotel walls, prompting Rosinante’s prior sour mood to pick back up.
As you all ate your brekky in comfortable silence, you gazed out onto the beach below. Law followed your eyes, looping at the large swell of the waves. The choppy waves crashed against the golden waves, the vendors beginning to set up their canopies to sell their wares along the boardwalk.
“You did well, Rosinante,” you complimented the tall, blonde man, “Using our words in the appropriate context, I mean.” Rosinante smiled at you, placing his paper rubbish in the brown paper bag.
“Thank you, Mate,” he said with a soft wink, “I appreciate the praise for my efforts.”
“No wakkas, makka,” you smile at him with a shrug. Both men quip their head up, their ears pricking and confusion written on their face.
“We’ll get into that later, I guess,” you chuckle at the two of them as their confusion deepens.
The large Australian crowd began to take out their surf and boogie boards, set up nets for volleyball, and their wickets for beach cricket. The variety of populus below in various designs bathers, placing sunscreen on their bodies to protect from the deadly UV rays.
“Beach day?” you ask them, smile drawing up over your features once more.
