Today was my first full day in the garden so far in 2020! Our bare root tree order arrived and so into the ground went a purple lilac, a southern magnolia, a mimosa, and a cold-hardy Salvatski pomegranate. I'm pretty excited to see how they settle in.⁠ ⁠ Digging holes is hard work! We're pretty exhausted but happy to have some work time in our yard. My trial run of a pair of @Digzgardening gloves went really well. It's been hard to find a pair of gloves that fit my small hands comfortably - most gloves are too big and make me clumsy. These are also pretty nifty because they're touchscreen compatible for those of us still plugged in out in the garden.⁠ ⁠ I'm feeling sore and tired but really grounded and happy from spending time outdoors, putting down roots, watering the greening world, and watching Alia nibble on pine cones and squawk at the birds in the trees.
