Pidge watched Keith jump on the motorbike and rev it up. Sighing, she knew there was no talking him out of this. She glanced over at Griffin who looked just as determined. She didn’t see a good outcome no matter what. Yet she tried. Foolishly. Again.

Moving over to Keith she tugged on his sleeve. “You know it doesn’t mean anything right? I don’t like him like that.”

Keith slid his hand around her neck and pulled her close, kissing her deeply and jumbling up her thoughts. “Yeah, I don’t care. I don’t trust HIM. And he needs to know, no, I need to show him! You and me~there’s no room for him. I know you wouldn’t do anything but fuck him. Mine. Just like I’m yours.”

Sighing, she stated, “I don’t like the two of you using me as an excuse to do this.”

Keith nodded, “Yeah, I know. And I’m not jealous, really, I just need to put him in his place.”

Moving back Pidge looked at her brother, seeing the question she readily replied, “I’m with him. For better or for worse.”

Matt laughed as he slung his arm around her. “It’ll probably be worse.”

“I knew that the day I met him.”

Surprised kiss

The warmth of her blanket provides a much more welcoming environment than the rest of their empty house. Over the past week, she's practically migrated to the living room couch. She's never liked when Keith has to travel for weeks, but she knows that the work he does is something he loves. She really ought to drag herself to bed, but she misses having him there.

The door creaks open, pulling Pidge from what would otherwise be a dreamless sleep. Blearily, she opens her eyes to a familiar face staring back at her. Bolting upright, she crashes her forehead against an equally hard-headed skull.

"Ouch, Pidge," Keith complains, rubbing his forehead.

"You're back?" She asks, confused. "It was supposed to be another three days!"

"We got done early, so I thought I'd surprise--"

She cuts him off, pulling him down for a quick kiss. "I missed you."

He smiles back, "I missed you too."

. You know what annoys me? That people always assume that Keith and Pidge can barely flirt to save their lives. I, for one, don't think that's true. OK, they're definitely not the types to flirt as much and constantly as Lance, but if they want to, they can and will

. They had their first kiss right before Keith left with Krolia

. They shared a few more after that but never had a chance to actually go on a date till a few months after Honerva had been defeated

. Keith had been working up the courage to ask Pidge, but in the end, she asked him out first after getting tired of waiting

. He said yes obviously

. It was a simple date really

. A nice walk and a picnic. They kept chatting about nothing in particular and everything at once

. After that they watched a movie (or four) in Pidge's apartment

. And that's when Keith's flirty side made an appearance

. Wrapping his arms around Pidge's waist, burying his face in her hair, whispering stuff just to see her blush

. After a while of this, Pidge finally had enough

. Turning to face a smirking Keith, she glared at him

. Then kissed him

. Keith kissed back, pushing her against the bed as A Million Dreams played in the background (no hate on the song, 'kay guys?)

. When they broke apart for air, they just smiled at each other before going back to their movie

“Get OUT! NoW!”

Pidge or Dr. Holt as she is now known blinks and turned towards the door. She sees her lab assistants scurry around the room, frantically putting away their materials and saving documents. Unfortunately, the man outlined in the the doorway was out of patience.

“Do you not know what NOW means? GET OUT-leave the room, this very instant.”

He ended up slapping the door and it hit the wall as it slammed open further. He moved to lean against it and stared moodily at her assistants. Shaking her head, she watched as they literally bumped into each other on the way out. All except David. He was resolutely ignoring the commotion as well as continuing to clean up. I wanted to nicely thank him and urge him to leave but before I could utter a word, a growl emerged from near the door.

Keith stalked forward, heading straight for David, “Look bud, I’m sure you cleaning up seems really important to you but in the grand scheme of things - it doesn’t even register. SO-get the hell out and let the grownups deal with some real issues.”

David blinked and turned to her. She hurriedly interjected, “David thanks for your diligence. But, I think you better leave.”

Pidge leaned quickly put away the materials at hand and the silence in the room was overpowering. She heard the door close and then the soft snick of a lock. Suddenly she was scooped up and the world tilted until she felt herself being sat on the edge of her desk in the corner-strategically out of the camera view.

She grinned, “So Keith, are we going to talk about some real issues?”

Keith gazed down into her upturned faced. “Yeah, my issue is that we don’t have any time to be together. You’re busy. That fucking puppy following you around. I’m done.”

Her heart stuttered…done? She froze, done??? Oh my~

Keith seemed to realize how that sounded, and he kissed her soundly, his one hand cupping the back of her head and the other pulling her tight to his own. Slowly, lifting his head, he softly continued, “Yeah done, hiding. Done sneaking around. I want everyone to know you’re mine … and I’m yours. I wanna go all in, Katie. Bet on me.”

Katie smiled, “Always.”

Pairing: Keith Kogane x gn!reader

Summary: You are scared of heights, but Keith promises to catch you. And he keeps his promise.

Warning: Reader scared of heights ig?

A/n: I thought of the words "you gotta jump" and immediately heard his voice in my head 😭

"You gotta jump y/n!!" Keith yells.

"I-I can't!" You yell back, looking down at big drop with anxiety growing in your stomach like weeds would in a garden.

"I will catch you!" He yelled slowly and carefully, making sure you understood and heard what he's saying.

"I'm scared, Keith!" You yell.

Your bottom lip quivered as you shuffled your foot forward and stared over the edge you froze when a small pebble fell off the side of the small ledge you were on.

"What if I can't jump that far!?" Tears started to well up in your eyes. "Or what if you-"

"I am going to catch you!" Keith cut you off quickly. He knew exactly where you were going with that sentence. "Just trust me!" He held a hand out to you.

You gulped. He was so serious. Keith had looked directly into your eyes, no hint of hesitation in his voice what so ever. You looked down the mountain one more time before backing up to the rocky wall behind you.

Pidge was behind him piloting the Green Lion, keeping it in the air so you could jump onto it from the cliff you were on.

You looked up at Keith, and he nodded.

You took a deep breath before unlatching your hands from the wall behind you and taking a step forward. You took a deep breath before you leaped off of the edge. You stuck your hand out as far as you could reach it. You had closed your eyes tightly, in case you didn't make it.

You felt a hand grasp your own, nothing beneath your feet. You still didn't dare to open your eyes.

Keith pulled you up into the Green Lion. He let out a breath of air he didn't know he was holding and circled his arms around your waist, holding you against him. Keith was sitting on the ground, watching the Green Lion's mouth close.

He regained his composure before looking down at you in his arms. You still had your eyes tightly shut, and you were now holding onto Keith for dear life.

Keith smiled softly, his eyes softening. He stroked your back gently with his hand. You had calmed down with his soothing movement and opened your eyes slowly. You looked up at him with tears welling in your eyes. You quickly threw your arms around his neck, hugging him tightly as you buried your face in the crook of his neck.

"Thank you.." You said quietly into the crook of his neck.

"Anytime." Keith responded, still stroking your back gently.

Both of you are still determining when you got close as well. You protected him once in battle, and since then, you’ve just stuck together.

And he of course protects you when he can because he's grateful you saved his life.

So you guys became friends,,, that was news to Lance btw.

Slowly you let each other into your lives, and now you train together often.

You were never ‘better’ than him at fighting (you actually just made yourself lose sometimes) and Keith sometimes ‘lost’ to make you just a little happy (little did he know hehe)

But today? Oh, you weren’t playing that’s for sure. He was super confused at first, then he was impressed, and then he was turned on. Which is fair because you looked straight out of a magazine, the ‘hot’ sweaty and perfectly messy hair.

When did you get so hot?

And boom. He felt he was on earth again because realization hit him like a TRAIN.

Confused hunk

“It’s just for us” and you hold up an ice cream sandwich for him

His face LIGHTS up and he gladly accepts it

Then you guys sit on the floor and just talk about life and how both of you feel

All night.

It's freaking adorable

He realises how much he adores you, and how he absolutely loves you and all of your little quirks

It doesn’t even matter when the ice cream starts melting, he’d much rather focus on you and talk. Only occasionally taking bites when you do

Pidge

Pidge always knew you were datable

And an amazing person

But she started falling for you when the paladins were trying to tell her to not go find Matt

You stepped in a stood up for her, gaining Shiro’s support.

And then when she was ready to leave she saw you putting your stuff into your lion

“You don’t think I’ll leave you alone, do you?”

She knows it’s because someone will need to be there for her in case Matt is gone

But she doesn’t complain

It’s a silent brewing of love and appreciation

And she’s so grateful to have you in her life

Shiro

When Keith was confused and stuck without Shiro, you stepped up and found him

He was surprised at first

But you took care of him and helped him out as he got better

You were there for him to lean on. Always.

Literally and figuratively

His appreciation turned into adoration and then his adoration turned into pure, genuine love

Once he was fully healthy again

He’d try to pay it back to you

By protecting you when you went against any threats

ESPECIALLY when you were out of your lion

And then it just becomes a thing where you protect each other

It’s adorable
