I have to say, Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel would be better if Loki was in it. Granted, I say this about a lot of Marvel stuff but I really think I’m on to something here.

I just need to see Loki and Doofenshmirtz interacting. They could bond over both having annoying goody-two shoes brothers!

Loki should have been in Mission Marvel. He and Doofenschmirtz would so vibe! Loki has what the villains in Mission Marvel didn't: a tragic backstory. He's got the Overshadowed By Brother story, he's the Unfavorite of his father, and he likes his theatrics, just like Doofenschmirtz. If Doofenschmirtz had gotten to team up with a villain he actually understood, then they could have been more successful.

Can I ask out of curiosity, what’s people’s issue with Mission Marvel? It’s not my favorite episode either, but people seem to really dislike it and I’m not really sure why?

I can't answer for everyone, but I think the biggest reason is because of just how out of character Phineas and Ferb are.

PnF have ALWAYS included Candace and Isabella in things. Always. From the very first episode, Isabella was always included in and often in charge of their big ideas. There's never a question to her competency or strength. And Candace, though she doesn't participate in their ideas (willingly) until much later on, is always encouraged by her brothers and invited along, and her intelligence is also never questioned by her brothers, even though it's canonically not on their level.

And then....they're both sidelined for the fight. Because they're girls. And that just....didn't sit right with a lot of the fans. Because Phineas and Ferb have NEVER excluded Isabella (or Candace) on basis of them being girls. They've never excluded ANYONE on basis of gender, so them doing it in this special was really out of the blue. Hell, the Fireside Girls have saved their lives more times than I can count.

And we know that when Phineas loses his temper, he snaps fast. But he always bounces back JUST as fast, and aside from his feelings towards Perry in ATSD, he has never held a grudge for as long as he did in MM. He was downright nasty to Candace, which just isn't in character for him, and Ferb just...let it slide, which isn't in character for him either (thinking again of ATSD, where even though Ferb was hurt too, he at least calmed Phineas down when he started getting too snappy. He didn't even try in MM).

Phineas and Ferb just felt so fucking mean the whole special, and that combined with the straight up misogyny just rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way.

It's still better than anything the MCU has ever done though.

Mmm, yes, the Phineas and Ferb Marvel crossover episodes were better than Infinity War and Endgame.

Perry got to be a superhero and save all the marvel superheroes #4. The marvel superheroes were more in character than they have been for years in the “canon” marvel movies #5. Doofenshmirtz shooting the villains with waffles which was not only funny but an effective tactic?! #6. Baljeet Hulk #7. Candace writes marvel fanfiction #8. Stan Lee being the equivalent to the cabbage merchant #9. The villain song and dance number where Doof is leading them around getting them to commit petty crimes and they slowly die inside #10. just generally the marvel villains having to seriously go to Doof. Evil Inc and get his help albeit VERY begrudgingly #11. the humor was on point and actually clever #12. did I mention Perry being a superhero #like seriously when will marvel ever have the guts to make a platypus a superhero? #anyway #point is it was funny I had fun this was enjoyable and lighthearted and I miss when marvel was like that too #ah well #at least it spawned stuff like this
