ALSO I just … NEED to mention this creature. LOOK AT HIM. WHAT IS HE. WHO IS HEEE? So this is what is supposed to be Beta Hunter or whatever. Interesting, but even more so that apart from his familial connection to Obron and his eventual bond with Luz (that starts off a bit antagonistic) he is SO different to what ended up in comparison to the other characters. But you know who he does remind me of though?
Red overalls. Blue eyes. JAGGED KNIFE SWORD. Avid witch HATER. ENGLISH?? ANYWAY-
This kiiiind of convinces me that Belos and Philip were originally different characters because ?? What is this. BECAUSE HE JUST STRAIGHT UP SOUNDS LIKE HOW I’D IMAGINE TWEEN PHILIP TO BE LOL a bratty witch hater who is too proud to ask for help, but will happily accept it. Except he would have gotten to actually interact and bond (EEEEP🥹!) with Luz as humans out of place. What a tragedy !!
Tumblr media
He sounds like such a little shit. But he’s cute! I ADORE HIM. All this time I thought William was the original Hunter… but this sounds more like he was the original Philip 😆 but contained in a time capsule instead of allowed to grow into a menace.
Alas, poor William went from witch lunatic, to knight prince, to being eradicated from existence. Such is fate. But parts of him live in Hunter and Philip. But just like the non existent Wittebane story… Won’t stop me from wondering what if !

The Haunted Hayride scene in Thanks to Them implies that Philip and Caleb have become a part of Gravesfield's local folklore.
That means there's a decent chance that the Witterbane brothers' story was made into a bitching murder ballad at some point.

(Sorry for any spelling or Grammar mistakes)
(Spoilers)
An idea I have for Belos'/Philip Witterbane's eternal punishment
(Based heavily on the episode Judgment Night from The Twilight Zone)
It always happens on a day Belos hurts people.
Sometimes it's the day his brother was murdered. Sometimes it's the day he first tested the sigils. Sometimes it's a day he killed a Golden Gaurd. Sometimes it's The Day of Unity only things went entirely in his favor that day.
I think you get the point.
Each day he wakes up knowing nothing but one of his names, Belos if he was commonly known as Philip at the time, Philip if he was commonly known as Belos at the time, and the knowledge that something bad will happen. Whatever that horrible thing is, he knows it will also affect him.
He somehow knows Caleb's brother is going to kill him, and he will end up killing him too. He somehow knows the sigils will hurt or kill people, and he also has a sigil.
Each day he meets people and tries to warn them about what's about to happen, but he doesn't know the details of the event nor how to avoid it. So people don't take him too seriously about said events he claims will happen.
Despite this, all the people he has met are still kind to him. He ends up bonding with them. He learns about their hopes, their fears, their families, etc. This furthers his attempt to try and somehow stop the horrible event, not wanting these people to face the horrors he knows will come.
But he is never able to stop it. He witnesses death and people being left for dead, right before he meets his own horrible fate.
And each time he sees the person responsible for all this, and he sees his own face. Each time he is left in complete shock, horror, confusion, and guilt before he finally dies.
And each time he dies, he wakes up on another day with no memory other than his name and the knowledge that something horrible is about to happen.
Belos/Philip will live these days over and over again. Dying with the people he killed or almost killed. Never knowing until the very end that he is the one responsible for all this suffering.
So how do you like my idea?

IT'S JUST KIND OF FUCKED UP
I'm just traumatized in a new way after the first episode. Belos didn't die, the guys found a way to the titan's blood, Halloween, new friends of Luz. BUT OTHER THINGS ARE JUST SO TRAUMATIC. POLICEMAN LUZ HASN'T HATCHED YET. SHE BECAME MORE ANTISOCIAL. AMITY, WILLOW, GUS, AND HUNTER LOOKED AT THE FATHER AND CHILDREN. THE HUNTER ALSO MENTIONED DARIUS. WE LEARNED A SMALL PART OF THE STORY OF CALEB AND PHILIP. VI HAS A LIKING FOR MASHA.  THEY FOUND THE TITAN'S BLOOD, BUT AT WHAT BITCH PRICE???? BELOS IS A FUCKING ASSHOLE, I HOPE THAT YOU WILL DIE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND PREFERABLY AT THE HANDS OF IDA, CAMILLA AND DARIUS. YOU'VE BROUGHT TOO MUCH SHIT INTO THIS FUCKING WORLD AND I HOPE YOU DROWN YOURSELF IN THAT SHIT AND FUCKING DIE. THE HUNTER HAS NEW SCARS AND I'M SURE DARIUS WILL WANT TO BREAK PHILIP'S FACE WHEN HE SEES THIS. FLAPJACK SACRIFICED HIMSELF FOR THE HUNTER AND THERE IS A THEORY THAT THIS LITTLE BIRD HAD THE SOUL OF THE WITCH THAT CALEB WENT AFTER. AND NOW THE HUNTER HAS AN OLD HAIRSTYLE, BUT AT WHAT FUCKING COST??? PEOPLE WHO HATED THE NEW DESIGN - ARE YOU HAPPY? THESE CHILDREN DESERVE MUCH BETTER AND I HOPE THAT THEY ALL, LIKE THEIR PARENTS/PARENT FIGURES, GO TO A PSYCHOLOGIST BECAUSE IT'S JUST SOME KIND OF FUCKED UP. BELOS IS A FUCKING CONCH THAT NEEDS TO BE PUBLICLY HANGED, DISMEMBERED AND GENERALLY TORN TO FUCKING MAGICAL ORGANS. I FEEL VERY SORRY FOR CALEB, CONSIDERING WHAT A MORAL FREAK HIS BROTHER/FRIEND IS.

Toh Theory: Will the Titan aid Luz in the Final Battle, and has he been helping her?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Throughout the course of the Owl house (especially after the revelations from S2b) a question has been in the back of my mind. Has the Titan of the Boiling Isles been secretly helping Luz this whole time?
Tumblr media
A major element of season 1 and early season 2 was Luz’s uncanny ability to discover and utilize glyphs, something witches and demons didn’t know existed until then. In a matter of weeks, Luz had mastered all four glyphs, and would eventually learn to combine them in only a few months. While this also stems from her artistic ingenuity (and reading some of Philip’s journal), it’s almost like the Titan itself had been guiding her as a sort omniscient second mentor. On the opposite, it took Belos/Philip Witterbane years to figure out the gylphs even requiring Luz to teach his past self the light spell (her first glyph). He even speculated that Titan would have such knowledge to begin with and was actively sabotaging him to prevent him from threatening the people of the isles. It’s fitting that the self-proclaiming “Humble Messenger of the Titan” was actually a false prophet despised by the being he claimed to serve where as Luz was unknowingly the Titan’s true champion.
Tumblr media
Another interesting thing in “For The Future” of all the Hexsquad, Luz was the only one to stuck in the rift (a place she had previously visited in Yesterday’s Lie). The spiritual figure (who I presume is the titan’s soul) is desperately trying to reach, even waving at her to get her attention. Whatever the reason, the Titan clearly wishes to speak with Luz specifically as if he needs her for something important.
Tumblr media
This is mostly just a guess on my end, but I’m starting to wonder if Dana has been hinting this connection from the beginning. During the countdown for the season 2 premiere, Luz is shown resting inside the skull of a giant beast which seems to greatly resembles a Titan’s head. Another art piece shows Luz playing with a massive paper mache King’s skull, wearing it and even sitting inside of it.
Tumblr media
In the show proper, in the episode “Thanks to Them”, Luz and Hunter adorn themselves with a King and Owl mask respectively to face what they think is Belos returned. While this was mostly helped to give Hunter a much needed confidence boost, it might also serve as a symbolic function in the narrative. Hunter is revitalizing a part of his former identity as the Golden Guard whereas Luz wears the likeness of someone she views as a younger brother for emotional support. It also may foreshadow Luz drawing strength from the Titan itself in order to be on par with the Collector as what Lilith mentioned in “For the Future”, Titan’s magic can negate Collector magic. (Makes you wonder if instead of a CollectorLuz, we got TitanLuz, but that’s probably just me.)
Tumblr media
.Before we get into Titan’s plans for Luz, we need to take reflect on elements on the small tidbits of information revolving around the Titans in general. As we can recall, the Titans were once the ruling species of the Demon Realm for an unspecified amount of time. One day, the Collectors arrived on their crusade of capturing and taking over other planets for their own agenda. The Titans stepped forth to oppose the Collector and drive them back, with the latter alongside the witches and demons who worshiped them and sought their extinction. This would lead to a long and bloody war which ended in both sides wiping each other out, save a youngster from each opposing species (King and our Collector).
Tumblr media
During this period of time, it helps to shed a small light on the Boiling Isles Titan likely as a person. While we don’t know much about King’s father, it’s in the face of the war and the slaughter of his kin, a he sought to protect his son (the last Titan) at all costs. He created an island hidden away from the Collector through a protective sigil inside a massive tower which King’s egg would be nurtured. As a last line of defense against any intruder seeking to harm his son, the Titan created an army of golems made from flesh and bone to protect and care for King. This proves to us that regardless of circumstance, King’s father loved and cherished his son more than anything in the world, even before his own life.
Tumblr media
This leads into the reason for the Titan seeking out Luz, the answer is as simple as it is profound, to be there for King. Ever since Luz arrived on the Isles, she’s had a massive positive impact on the island and it’s inhabitants (despite her believing the contrary). She helped Eda reconcile with her curse and her sister, she helped Willow, Gus, Hunter, and Amity overcome their personal struggles, reforge their friendships and come into their own, as well as play an important role in stopping the Day of Unity. But one of major accomplishments was with King, at the start of the show, he was self-centered attention seeking child lost in delusions of grandeur who often caused a lot of trouble her and others around him. But thanks in part to Luz, King not only learned that actions have consequences and to appreciate what he has, but also resolve his own identity crisis and discover his nature as a Titan. If not for Luz’s influence would’ve never become the mature, responsible, empathetic boy he is by season 3. Through that, it’s easy to see why the Titan would see Luz as the perfect person to watch over King, as well the world he created in his own death.
While the idea of prophecy and chosen ones does not fit the themes of the owl house, but take away the Titan’s preconceived divinity to the witches and demons of the BI and a new picture is formed. A father who in death left behind a world for his son to call home and a family to cherish, with Luz serving to guide him into becoming a good person in a way he could not.

Man-Made Men— How “The Owl House succeeds where “Miraculous” Fails:
SPOILER WARNINGS FOR TOH AND MLB
To be completely honest I’ve seen the leaks but I’m avoiding discussing any and all of them that haven’t officially broadcast. So this is mostly just info for miraculous up to “Exaltation” in season five. As for Owl House, if you’re new to the fandom, this is a major story spoiler, so avoid it.
I wanna talk about Grimwalkers and Sentimonsters, from the respective shows listed in the titles. For those who are unaware—
Grimwalkers are artificially made humanoids from The Owl House. They’re basically clones meant to be a replacement to Emperor Belos’ brother, Caleb, who the former killed and used this method to create someone who’d support his… “questionable” decisions.
Sentimonsters are magical beings created by the Peacock Miraculous. They’re formed by strong emotions, take on a variety of forms, and fall under the absolute influence of whoever is holding the object that contains an Amok, a feather imbued with magic that gives the creature being.
In this specific post, we’re gonna talk about these two blorbos, Hunter
Tumblr media
And Adrien
Tumblr media
and how the Owl House handles their inhumanity almost perfectly, and how Miraculous fumbles the bag.
I don’t really support the theory of Adrien being a sentimonster but at this point you gotta roll with the punches.
In "The Owl House," we're introduced to Hunter pretty early on in Season 2 tells his story as the Golden Guard, and when we meet him, he's a stuck-up, cocky little bastard that Xeno Robinson portrays PERFECTLY. The audience is groomed to have a sort of dislike towards him, but thankfully, Dana and the writing team make him just likable enough for a slow redemption. Zuko went from a character who's just a straight-up complicated antagonist to a great main character, and in this set of circumstances, Hunter's the guy who acts bad but as we come to find out, is doing it sheerly for a semblance of parental approval from this dick.
Tumblr media
"Hunting Palismen" elaborates on his nature and personality and gives us a bit more insight into everything. He can't naturally do magic, so he relies on artificial staff mechanics and physical ability to match the strength of typical witches. He wants to look into Wild Magic more, showing a curiosity the original Caleb had towards the Demon Realm, which led to Belos wanting to handle him in the first place. He opens up to Luz, our protagonist, and for the first time in his life, he meets someone who legitimately wanted to know him not as the Golden Guard, but as who he really was.
Tumblr media
"My name is Hunter."
And so we get a complicated character in both personality, motivation, and backstory! "Eclipse Lake" presents him more as an antagonist because that's the point! He's doing this entire convoluted search for Titan's Blood just for the sake of proving himself to his "uncle." It's not necessarily his fault. Philip Witterbane/Belos is a manipulative little piece of garbage that actively grooms the people who work for him into getting them to their full levels of usefulness and promptly trashing them once they've outlived it. Lilith literally references this in "Elsewhere and Elsewhen!"
And then we get the good parts of "Hunting Palismen" in "Any Sport in a Storm!" He meets Willow, Gus, and the rest of the Flyer Derby team. He makes friends! He legitimately gets close to them!
So naturally, the good times promptly die with the next major episode.
Hollow Mind.
Tumblr media
*Heavy sigh*
Personally, this is one of my favorite episodes of the season. And in this context, it serves perfectly for the reveal behind Hunter's true purpose. He's not meant to naturally exist. He's a literal clone. We see him go from the pompous jerk putting on the front of maturity
Tumblr media
and deteriorate into his true self; a scared, insecure little dude, brought on by years of being abused by Belos coming out like a tidal wave with all the wild revelations making him question everything so much that he has a panic attack.
Tumblr media
But Luz and the others are there and support him and it's GREAT. The way the show handles his existential crises and with writing to support this effectiveness, we get arguably one of the most strongly written characters in the show.
Which is why Miraculous warrants this post.
"Adrien Agreste being a Sentimonster" was a theory I heard of when I first started getting into the show when season 3 was actively airing. I didn't like it! I thought it was ridiculous, cause Adrien being a literal magical creation makes this entire situation complicated and arguably unnecessary.
 And then they went there.
And I was sad.
On one hand, the way they went about it is about as subtle as a bright red "F" on a test. Hawk Moth/Monarch/Shadow Moth/Jackass Agreste fiddling with the ring to manipulate Adrien and using words like "OBEY" made it pretty clear, and I feel like the show's track record isn't gonna be effective with proper reveals? Like even now Juleka and Rose haven't canonically called each other girlfriends before, but it's PRETTY OBVIOUS given the scenes we SEE WITH THEM! They're not gonna elaborate on this any more than we've been getting.
The way the show handles this is absolutely abhorrent, especially considering there are so many interesting fanfictions/art pertaining to it. A prime example would be @buggachat and their works—Drowning(In plain sight)" or even the comics they've drawn(you know, the one with Luka and the others) about it. It handles the idea of someone having the realization that their existence being a lie pretty well! It can be related to the subtle themes of parental abandonment and complications pertaining to birth in quite an interesting way!
And the icing on the cake is that with these two characters, it's a matter of their epiphany that their life and the value it holds isn't something dependent on where they came from, but instead, everyone around you giving you support and showcasing their love, independent of an abusive situation. Hunter has the Hexsquad, Luz, and Camila, all of them giving him the support to have a happy found family, far from the Sticky Icky here.
Tumblr media
But Gabriel and Adrien don't really have that dynamic. It feels like they're tangentially related. Like it'd be better if they had it be a circumstance where Adrien directly motivated Gabriel in some propensity, but nope.
He’s doing this for himself.
Tumblr media
Gabriel could care less about his son or his personal opinions. He's a douche.
I feel like this stems from my personal gripe towards his characterization cause they flip-flop between him being a (slightly) sympathetic dude and a sociopathic nutcase who repeatedly endangers children and threatened to start WORLD WAR THREE just to bring back his wife.
I feel like Emilie Agreste as a McGuffin works, but if it actually affected the family in some way. If Gabriel was actually concerned about his son's happiness and doing what he's doing for HIS SON, then he'd be legitimately concerned about his well-being. Present the circumstances reflecting an actual broken family, not a straight up abusive situation.
Y'know, doing what he does in Season Five, but out of the legitimate goodness of his heart?
Adrien as a Sentimonster adds no value to the plot whatsoever. I feel like a better method of writing him would have him be human, but just really dependent on the idea of a parental figure, which is why he's really subservient to his dad, which would warrant him listening to what he says and getting akumatized all the time in the bad timelines. So, naturally Nathalie and the Dupain-Cheng family are more welcoming to him!
And as a PARALLEL to him Felix is the actual sentimonster, explaining why they happen to look super-similar, and giving a bit more of depth to this show's writing- The boy who is free to do what he wants but doesn't out of fear of disappointing his father, and the boy who desires his true freedom but is at the risk of getting eviscerated. It would make lines like Felix saying "You always do what your father tells you?"  Matter more and hit harder. What we got is like if in My Hero Academia or something there was a character who had some super overpowered ability like Time manipulation or something and the story never used it.
And I know I said "No Spoilers" but this is the closest thing to one- Adrien doesn't have a role in the Finale, that's all I'll say. It'd make sense if he DID stuff! It's Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, not "Just Ladybug."
Hunter's a deep character and the fact that he's artificially made makes him all the more interesting!
Adrien's a shallow dude with barely any personality and a "tragic backstory" that doesn't bring anything interesting to the story. He’s a prop.
I could go on, and if you wanna debate/hear more, message me, I’m here for whatever.

A The Count of Monte Cristo AU with Eda in the role of Edmond Dantes and Raine in the role of Mercedes. The setting is mainly the Demon Realm, so most characters are Witches and Demons, but there is contact with the Human Realm by way of trading. The Covens exist, thought there is no mandatory joining and branding with Coven Seals - at least it’s not widely done.
Eda Cawthorne is accused of treason and sent to a horrible prison on the same night she was going to propose to her partner, Raine Whispers. The people who framed Eda are Odalia Bright, Terra Snapdragon, and Phillip Witterbane.
Philip wanted to discredit the respected Cawthorne Family, so he could get enough power and influence to become the ruler of the Boiling Isles, and one of them being accused of treason would ruin their reputation; Terra wanted control over Raine and felt that it would be easier without Eda’s influence on them, and because she wanted the two to suffer by separating them; Eda and Odalia were once friends but Odalia was secretly jealous and resentful of her power and skills, so she joined forces with Phillip and Terra to frame Eda.
Eda spends almost 12 years in the prison (losing an arm), until she learns about a great treasure and escapes. Not sure who could be in the role of Abbé Faria, but they help Eda escape at the cost of their life.
On her way to the island where the treasure is (Titan’s Hold), Eda meet Luz Noceda, an orphan human whom Eda takes in as her apprentice. Arriving at the island, they find baby King, along with the treasure.
Once they have the treasure, Eda and company return the the Boiling Isles. Eda reunites with her Lilith Clawthorne, her sister, and discovers that her parents are dead and that people think Eda died in prison. She also learns that Raine cut contact with Lilith/seemingly forgot about Eda to become Head of the Bard Coven.
(Terra is Head of the Plant Coven and seemingly a confidant to Raine, Odalia has achieved prestige due to Blight Industries (it’s thanks to her husband) while Phillip is well on his way to become Emperor, and fulfill his secret agenda).
Betrayed, Eda swears to destroy everyone who had a hand in sending her to jail. She spends the next 8 years plotting her revenge with the help of Lilith, Luz, King, even recruiting some other young witches who have been hurt by the elite (Gus, Willow, the Detention Track Kids).
20 years after her arrest, Eda infiltrates high-society as Marilyn, the Countess of Titan’s Hold. As she works to full-fill her revenge plans, Eda is reunited with Raine who doesn’t recognize her. Eda is surprised that Raine doesn't seem happy with their Coven Head position and that they still fondly remember Eda, even playing their song from time to time. Eda tries focusing on her anger at Raine, but she still has feelings for them.
Meanwhile, Luz (presented as Countess Marilyn’s daughter) becomes close with Amity Blight, Odalia’s youngest child. At first, it was to get some dirt on Odalia, but then Luz fell in love with Amity and helped her break free of Odalia’s control. Amity eventually discovers the truth about Luz, and decides to help her clear Eda’s name by finding evidence of her mother’s dirty dealings.
Eda discovers that the reason why Raine became a Coven Head was to the find proof of Phillip’s, Terra’s, and Odalia’s corruption to clear Eda’s name. Raine still loves Eda, and her apparent death nearly broke them, but they used it to fuel their determination to bring the corrupted elites down. Witnessing Raine’s devotion to her, Eda reveals her identity to them. Cue tearful reunion!
The rest is kind of predictable: they find evidence of corruption and destroy Phillip, Terra, and Odalia in satisfying ways. It might involves intense battle sequences cause these bastards won’t go down without a fight.
Eda and Raine finally marry, Lumity becomes official, everyone lives happily ever after. The end.
I’m changing the characters ages a bit to fit in with the story.
Eda is 24 when she’s imprisoned, around 36 when she escapes, and 44 during the main events. Raine is the same age as Eda. Luz, Amity, and the kids are all aged up to around 20-22 years. King is his canon age of about 8 years old.
People don’t recognize Countess Marilyn as Eda because of her now silver hair (she has orange hair the last time most people saw her), and because she hides her distinctive golden eyes behind sunglasses.
Eda still has her curse, but she made peace with the Owl Beast sometime after she escaped. Lilith still cursed Eda, but it was an accident instead of purposely.
I've never read The Count of Monte Cristo but I'll share this anyways

Sometimes I do really think about the story of Witterbane brothers.
It's like a confusing ball - nothing is clear, with each theory there are a bunch of more logical theories and so on.
Tumblr media
It seems to me, although this is a controversial judgment and I realise some people won’t like my opinion and will argue with me, but still that Belos was sincerely sorry that Caleb died. Really. Based on one good theory on this topic, there are several factors that confirm the correctness of judgments. Even Philip himself (yes, it is possible that he lied again that time , but let's omit this moment)) said that "it hurts every time he chooses to betray me." It is possible that he is really hurt always when he is betrayed. He created new Golden Guards, hoping they wouldn't betray. And so on to the end. And every time unsuccessfully…
I also adhere to the theory that Caleb's death was an accident. This would explain and explain a lot. Both characters would play with other colors, a lot would become clearer and clearer.
In general, I do really love this art of Belos:). This is the best art of him. I also like Philip, maybe Hunter also, but only in the second season. And that's all I wanted to say.
Bye:)

Eda still has her curse, but she was able to make peace with the Owl Beast some time after she escaped.
